I’d like to point out that if someone accidentally loses a tooth as a result of shower sex, that’s probably criminal in Alberta. But not someone losing a tooth from being punched in the face as part of a boxing match.
I don’t know about you, but that does feel a bit weird.

A petition was filed, Tuesday, in federal court in Canada to force Foreign Affairs Minister, Melanie Joly, to stop issuing export permits for military goods and technology sales to Israel, Anadolu Agency reports. The suit, launched by Palestinian-Canadians and the Al-Haq Palestinian non-governmental organisation and the Canadian Lawyers for International Human Rights (CLAIHR), argues the sale violates Canadian and international law. Canada’s Export and Import Permits Act states that the Foreign Minister must deny military goods and technology exports and permit applications if there is a substantial risk that would undermine peace and security. “We are seeking to hold Canada to its own standards and to its international legal obligations,” CLAIHR board member, Henry Off, told Al Jazeera in a telephone interview.

Alright. I'm tired of misinformation going around. Let's talk about the ammendment of Bill C-7 / C-14 or MAID.
I apologize for getting political but half of these people making these dumbest videos have no fucking clue what they're talking about.
So let's get started.
History of Bill C-7:
MAID (medically assisted death) became legal in 2016.
In the beginning it was only for people who had terminal illnesses where their deaths were foreseeable.
You had to jump through many fucking hoops.
Now, the ammendment, Bill C-14.
In July 2020, our government passed C-14.
It removed the requirement for a persons death to be foreseeable.
It also introduced a temporary exclusion for people wanting MAID based SOLELY on a mental illness.
So what does this mean? As of March 17 2023, people who's sole condition in a mental illness can request MAID.
Some concerns I've seen people have:
"We'll lose so many teenagers!" -nope. Firstly, you have to be in an advanced state of decline that CANNOT be reversed. You also need to be 18. You also need to be in an unbearable amount of agony.
There are safeguards in place that medical professionals use to determine who gets MAID. A suicidal person cannot receive MAID.
Lastly, I've seen these dumbest videos of people saying that their doctor said "well have you considered MAID". They legally can't do that right now. I highly doubt the doctors have been suggesting this.
What can you do about this?
Listen, you're upset about it, and I get it, first you need to read the bill. Second, you can contact your MP RESPECTFULLY and state why you're against it. Minors can do this as well.
Amendments are made all the time. They can also be revoked.
And for fucks sake, stop spreading misinformation. If y'all have questions, ask.
If theres any wrong info here, I apologize. I do the best I can.

I would like to remind everyone that dumpster diving is legal in Canada. You just aren't allowed to trespass (depending on where you are people might care more or less) but public dumpsters and the trash at the end of people's driveways are free!
I've used this to get books, jewelry, furniture, electronics, and even clothing. Shits expensive find what you can and build new things.
Trail rich neighborhoods and find what you need and give or sell what you don't. Stores like Most Wanted will buy collectables and electronics!

I love it when Canadian sovereign citizens try to use US laws and concepts in Canada
Some gems I've heard include:
"I'm auditing my First Amendment right!"
Canada does not have a First Amendment. When I pointed it out, their response was that I should look at paragraph 2b of the Canadian constitution, which is neither an amendment nor first in a list (I know that sounds obvious, but evidently that's too complex a concept for some people).
"Is [the crime I'm being suspected of] a felony or a misdemeanor?"
The cop's response was exactly what I was thinking: "Neither, this isn't the US."

No, Netflix isn't breaking Canadian privacy law using IP addresses for "one household per account"
There are some TikTok videos and other statements circulating on social media saying that Netflix’s collection and use of IP addresses to enforce its new account-sharing policies is illegal in Canada. Some of what’s being said is true, but the big picture conclusion is wrong. Where you can find me ► Privacylawyer blog: ► My law firm: ► Twitter:

The U.S. government successfully argued in Quebec Superior Court last August that the country couldn't be sued for the project known as MK-ULTRA, allegedly funded by the Canadian government and the CIA.
U.S. lawyers argued that foreign states had absolute immunity from lawsuits in Canada between the 1940s and 1960s, when the program took place.
But survivors (and their families) of the experiments at Montreal's Allan Memorial Institute — which included experimental drugs, rounds of electroshocks and sleep deprivation — appealed that decision.
