Where the rubber meets the road.

These two didn't just have a relationship, they had a (soul)utionship. "The Prophecy" Hand on the throttle Thought I caught lightning in a bottle...

What these two had was magical. There is no debate that Karlie Kloss and Taylor Swift were electric: (I am using past tense for the moment, I will refer to them in present tense a bit later in the post)

Fast forward a decade later to Fortnight. This record did not hit me immediately the way "Folklore" and "Evermore" did, It has almost been a week since its release and I hadn't been fully onboard with TTPD. I was expecting something different, something not familiar and I had quite literally thought maybe Jack Antinoff and Taylor Swift had reached their limit together as collaborators. The music produced by Aaron Dressner had flavors and connections to "Folklore" and "Evermore," while parts of the album was reminiscent of "1989." My next thought that maybe the three of them had done all they could do.

And then the Matty Healy conversation exploded across the net (le sigh), and I just about gave up on the record.

I damn near had a sanguinary struggle within myself over The Tortured Poets Department (I know, that is very dramatic lol), and then I finally got it. The brilliance of this woman is unmatched.

The last song "The Manuscript." Now and then she rereads the manuscript Of the entire torrid affair

"The entire torrid affair" meaning the last decade (probably longer, but I am sticking with 2014-2024). The title isn't lost on me and many others - The Man-U-Script.

The only thing that's left is the manuscript One last souvenir from my trip to your shores Now and then I reread the manuscript But the story isn't mine anymore

She is closing the chapter on all of it. It's over, the countless theories, the stories we all have created about her. They're our stories now, we built them into a formidable, monstrous entity that took on a life of its own. "The last souvenir" are her words to us on this album. From the Swifities, to the Gaylors/Kaylors, to the haters, critics, industry, fans, media. She won't play this game anymore. Taylor gave enough clues on this album to make EVERYONE'S theory plausible (Karlie, Joe, Matty, Travis, Harry, Kim etc). She connected threads to come full circle, which brings us back to "1989," that 1980s syth-pop (hello! "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart"). This is why she and Jack Antonoff brought us back to where it all began, Karlie Kloss and #Kissgate (Dianna Agron, too, who can forget "Wonderland). Aaron Dressner summons moments within this records of the two albums that fractured my soul, F & E. That folky-pop melody that gets into your skin to change the DNA. No joke, I sobbed listening to "Folklore" and "Evermore."

With TTPD, Taylor comes in like a thrashing, tumultuous storm; at times seething and others admonishing. She is singing to herself, for herself and without need of approval from the mainstream radio (or anyone else). TTPD is messy, too much, not enough, vulnerable, real, relatable and she is tired of our collective shit.

Back to "The Manuscript" This Era has come to an end and she is leaving us with the ruins, the aftermath of what she went through: being forced to hide who she really is, having to placate the rabid fans who believe the stories of every boy she has ever dated. She has had zero privacy and the only safe place Taylor has ever had was her music, she is the ONLY one who knows to whom she sings. Does she love her fans, of course, but Mother is tired and done. She is ready to come clean and live the life she has crafted to keep in secret in order to protect the innocent.

The beards, NDAs, slight of hand, she is smashing all that we know. It's not her reflection she seeks to shatter, it's the illusions. In "Fortnight" the nurse, a woman (cannot convince me that it's not Karlie. A doorframe is 6'8" and that nurse is about 5" shorter that frame, which would make that person 6'3" :), comes to save her, gives her the key to set her free. The men in the video are the ones who are torturing her. Like the last 10 years, The poet has been tortured by the department of men: Joe, John, Conner, Jake, Harry, Calvin, Tom, Joe, Matty, Travis, Scooter, Scott, and the list goes on.

It's "Robin" that has got a choke-hold on me.

Buried down deep And out of your reach The secret we all vowed To keep it from you in sweetness

She is singing to a child, a kid, and I am going to say a little boy. Is this song about Levi? I am going to say yes. Hands down the gem of the album, and our cue to realize she is telling us what is next, her family, the loves of her life: Karlie and the kids. That is what she wants and that will be her next chapter. We struggle to interpret the Taylor that is always ten steps ahead of us. Her Eras Tour, this will be the last one for a while. Once it has wrapped, I wouldn't be surprised if she disappeared for a spell. Will she produce more work, sure. Perform, probably, but this last decade has taken a toll, and this tour has been a herculean effort. Hence, its wild success. Could she retire (FLORIDA)? It's possible, but she would never tell us, we would have to figure that out for ourselves.

I have more to say, but it's late and I am sleepy. As I get lost in the piano of "The Manuscript" I am reminded of the book "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo"

Not sure if anyone is going to see or read this, but I needed a place to write my thoughts about this extraordinary album that I almost let slip through my fingers. Good night and sleep well everyone <3

"in my next life, I think I'll become a fool for my daughter"

"Lovie, can you stay with Minjee? I'm just going to the mall with Minjung to get new shoes and a few other stuff for the baby" you tell your husband who is currently on the sofa resting.

It's around that time again when you're counting down the days until the new baby comes, this time the two of you choose to keep the gender a surprise. You won't find out until you give birth. There's an on going bet in your household whether it'll be a girl or a boy.

"Why don't I come with him? You sure you okay to go out?" he asks, watching you struggle putting on your shoes. He chuckles before walking toward you, kneeling down to put it on for you even double tying the shoelaces just to be sure.

"It's okay, besides the doctor said it's healthy to walk around. And we both know it'll be easier to look after Minjung then Jee" you laugh, your husband agreeing with you

"She's the main character, we're all just living in her world" he says

You smile at Mark, giving him a kiss before getting your purse and keys.

"Call me if you need anything" he tells you

"Minjung, let's go" you shout, your son appears from the staircase ready to go

"You already know, buddy. Take care of mom, okay? Call me if something happens" he gives his son a quick hug before watching the two of you drive away

The two of you finished the errands and is now getting a quick snack before heading home. You like having one on one time with your kids. It helps you keep a closer relationship with them. And even though you know the two siblings get along very well, you still make it a point to spend time with them one by one. And so does Mark.

"Is there anything else you need, buddy?" you ask your son

He shakes his head, taking a bite of his sandwich. You smile watching him, it feels just like yesterday you were sitting in the backseat with newborn Minjung in the baby car seat on your way home from the hospital and now he's 13.

"How do you feel about getting another sibling?"

He looks at you, it's like looking at Mark's eyes. They same round, adorable chocolate eyes you love so much.

"Excited. It'll be cool if it's a boy. I'll teach him to play basketball and bike. It's okay too if it's a girl" he shrugs

"You know mommy and daddy loves you very very much"

"I know, I love you too" he smiles back at you

When you get home, Minjee welcomes you excitedly asking if you got her a cakepop which Minjung hands over to his sister

"Wah thank you, oppa! Dad look oppa got me a pink cakepop!" she screams excitedly, running to wherever Mark is. You and Minjung follow her, Mark in the kitchen getting dinner ready

"Cool, but you can have that after dinner okay? Na uh don't give me that look, missy. I ordered chicken just like you asked" the father-daughter banter continues

The two siblings help set up the table while you stay in the kitchen with Mark, "How did it go?" Mark asks you

"Good, we had fun. You sound like you had fun too" you joked

"I swear she knows how to make me says yes" he mumbles, you walk towards him, giving him a side hug

"You love her" you tell him with a chuckle and a kiss on the jaw

"That I do. I'd do anything for our kids" he says, looking down at you. He kisses you on the nose, eliciting giggles from you before breaking away

"Okay, dinner time!"

After dinner and everyone finished with their night time routines, it's finally time to call it a night.

You lay on your side of the bed, getting the pregnancy pillow ready

"Can I keep that after?" Mark asks, you watch him step out of the shower. Towel hanging on his hips while he dries his hair with another

"No" you tell him with a tight smile, Mark laughs before walking towards the dresser to get clothes

"Oh come on, let me enjoy the view some more"

"Woman, you are already pregnant" he tells you, playfully throwing the towel he was drying his hair with towards you. He puts on his sleeping shorts, leaving the shirt behind. He goes out the room to check all doors before going to bed

He turns towards you, the two of you face to face.

"Just a few more days and it'll be five of us" he whispers. His hand resting on your belly

"I'm calling it, this one will look like you again" you tell him

"You love us"

"That I do, I love you and all versions of you. Especially the little humans we made" you smile at him. He scoots closer to kiss you. Kissing you on the lips then on your cheeks a few time until you were laughing.

"Okay, time to rest. Goodnight, baby. I love you" he tells you

"Love you"

Minjung woke up to something poking his back, groggily looking to see Minjee

"Jee? What?"

The girl hiccups, still crying. This woke Minjung up more, sitting up on his bed and turning the bedside light on,

"Why are you crying? Did you have a bad dream?" he asks

"Will mom and dad not let me live here when the baby comes?" she asks, her tiny voice breaking

"What? of course not" her brother immediately answers. He gets out from under the blanket to hug his sister, wiping a few tears running down her face

"When you were born, I was so excited. Dad took me to the hospital to meet you. You had this big bow on, you were crying a lot too" he tells her

"You were there?" she asks

Minjung smiles "Yea, dad even helped me to carry you. You were really tiny. When the new baby comes, we'll go together to meet them"

"Will you still play with me when they come?"

"Of course I will, we're bestfriends right? You gave me this" he says, showing the beaded bracelet Minjee made for him. Similar to what she's wearing.

"You promise? You'll still get me cakepops?"

"Of course, pinkypromise"

The two siblings lock pinky fingers, the younger one finally smiling.

"Wait here okay?" Minjung says before going out of his room and carefull walking towards his parents bedroom. Knocking lightly before going in.

He walks towards Mark's sleeping figure, tapping him awake

"Huh what wha huh?? Minjung? Are you okay? What's happening?" Mark asks, sitting up immediately

"What time is it?" he asks, looking for his phone to see it's 2am

"Minjee woke up crying, she's in my room now"

Mark stands up carefully, looking over at your sleeping figure before quickly putting on a shirt and walking out with Minjung

"She okay? bad dream?"

"No uh it's about the new baby"

His son didn't need to elaborate anymore, already getting a hint why his babygirl was crying.

When the two walks back to Minjung's room, Jee still sitting there.

"Hey, Jee. Come on, dad will come with you. Goodnight buddy, thank you for being a good brother" Mark tells his eldest, kissing him on the head before stepping out of the room with the younger one

"Do you want warm milk before going back to bed?" Mark asks the 6 year old girl, getting a no from her

When they get to Minjee's room, the two sat on the bed

"Are you sad right now?" Mark asks his daughter

"Will you still love Jee when the baby comes?" Jee asks and Mark crumbles

"Oh my girl, of course I will. I'll love you longer than forever and that's a long long long time. You'll always be my princess. Even after the new baby comes, mom and dad might need to spend more time with them but that doesn't mean we love you and your brother any less" he tucks her hair behind her ear, pinching her cute round cheeks she definitely got from you.

"Can dad have a hug?" he opens his arms, Minjee scooting in her father's embrace

"Always remember, dad loves you so so much. I'd give you the moon and all the stars if you want. If you ever feel sad you can come and talk to me okay?"

He feels the younger one nod. Tucking her in bed, giving her a kiss on the forehead before calling it a night (again)

When he gets back to your room, he slides under the sheets then he feels you search for him

"Min?" you mumble

"Here, baby. Go to sleep" he leans over to give your temple a kiss. He sees a sleepy smile on your lips before your heads goes down on the pillow again.

Just like that everyone was asleep again, but before he fades into dreamland he says a silently thank you to heaven for this life. Ready and excited to face tomorrow with his family.

let's rewind?

yang jungwon was the most perfect "boyfriend". only if he was your boyfriend. he got you flowers, he took care of you, but he wasn't your boyfriend — if you could turn back time, you would never agree to be in a "no-label" relationship, because oh boy, does it hurt.

the relationship existed in a perpetual state of limbo, neither fully committed nor entirely detached. you two clung to each other out of loneliness and desperation, your hearts yearning for something more, yet unable to break free from the suffocating grip of their situation.

you loved him. your desire for jungwon's love and affection was strong, like an endless thirst in the desert of your soul. you ached for his presence, touch, and reassuring whispers. you sought the stability and security that had always evaded you in him, believing that he would fill the emptiness in your heart. but he didn't, he made that empty gap bigger.

however, jungwon was just a man plagued by his own demons, haunted by the ghosts of his past. his heart was a fortress, walled by walls of dread and uncertainty, unable to truly embrace your love. he wanted, needed intimacy but resisted it, scared of the vulnerability & commitment it required.

a girl who loves hard and a guy who doesn't understand what to do with that love — a recipe for disaster. commitment was a daunting prospect, for jungwon atleast, it was like a leap into the unknown that threatened to unravel the fragile threads of his very own existence, something he didn't understand himself. he struggled to let go of the past, to trust in the promise of a future with you, even as you stood before him, offering your heart on a silver plate for him.

"why can't you just be honest with me?" you pleaded, your voice trembling with emotion.

jungwon's eyes narrowed, a coldness creeping into his voice. "honesty won't change anything," he retorted, his words laced with bitterness. "you're too naive to understand the truth."

tears welled up in your eyes as you reached out to him, your hand trembling. "I don't care, wonie," you pleaded, your voice choked with emotion. "I just want to be with you, no matter what."

jungwon pulled away from you, his heart heavy with guilt. "I wish it were that simple," he confessed, his voice barely a whisper. "but I can't promise you anything, not when I can barely hold myself together."

each word felt like a blow to your already bruised heart, your chest tightening with the weight of his indifference. "I thought you loved me," you whispered, your voice barely audible above the din of your crumbling relationship.

your heart shattered into a million irreparable pieces, realizing that the man you once loved had become nothing more than a cruel stranger. you couldn't help but wonder if you had ever truly known jungwon at all.

"jungwon, let's not do this—"

"it's over, i'm sorry"

10 Anticipated BLs for 2024

Since I'm excited for ALL the GLs (Pluto, 23.5, Sunshine in the Wind, Chaser Game, Be Mine, y todo!), I'm making my list of the 10 BLs I'm excited for this year with brief reasons why I'm looking forward to them. In my normal fashion, I cheat my way into having more. All except one is Thai because Thailand loves to tease series three years in advance, then never make them, but I strongly believe these are coming:

The Next Prince

Zee continues to never play a poor person, and a trailer is supposed to drop in the first quarter of this year. I never knew there was so many fencers on BL Tumblr, so I'm looking forward to everyone's commentary on how well the characters poke with their sticks or whatever fencers do.

Jack & Joker: U Steal My Heart

It's a heist BL. It has YinWar. It has Prom x Mark. It has Bonz. It's Dee Hup House (we got beef). It's Director Tee and probably Cinematographer Jim. It might have color coding. There is not one thing I can find wrong with this series. It's perfect on paper, and I'm praying that translates well to the screen.

Spare Me Your Mercy

Like that lady in Titanic, I've been waiting 80 years for this series (give me a minute to cry about MaxTul), and it's finally near! I'm getting JJ & Tor in a Dr. Sammon piece, who I feel writes "Be Gay, Do Crime" very well, so I'll be forgiving any of these two gays' wrongs including murder, attempted murder, contemplating murder, and murdering each other in the bedroom (ahhhh!).

Wandee Goodday

Golf from The Eclipse is directing. It's about Muay Thai. It has an older doctor and a younger boxer who start off as bed friends (and I think one is actually a virgin). It has color coding. It has me already seated and waiting with popcorn, and I think it might be the first offering that will be delivered from GMMTV's 2024 lineup.

Sequels: Choco Milk Shake 2, Unintentional Love Story 2, My Doctor

Is Choco Milk Shake 2 gonna finally give me poly? Probably not, but I hope My Doctor brings the same heat the side couple did in Be Mine, Superstar, and the side couple getting the spotlight in Unintentional Love Story 2 will also make my side-couple-supremacy heart very happy this year.

Live in Love

It looks color coded. That's it. That's the reason. Keeping my expectations low because it might not get made since this is Thailand's favorite game.

Red Peafowl

The character reveals were absolute chaos, so I'm hoping that chaos transfers over to the actual series because it can either be a mess or a masterpiece, but it cannot be mediocre with Max, Cooheart, Boun, Mek, and Yacht as supports. Plus, it has color coding and a bird that is quickly becoming a Tumblr god.

Love Upon a Time

Even though it is a historical queer series, which means it could be sad, I think Domundi will keep the sass, so James' character won't be crying in the 1600s club but instead eating fruit seductively to encourage Net's character to put his homosexual skills into practice instead of simply theorizing about them, which is something I need more of. Plus, it has color coding.

Love Puzzle

This is one that might not get made because . . . Thailand. It's connected to Chains of Heart, but I don't care because the cast looks good and Poppy is gonna finally get to kiss a homie. If this doesn't get made, I will cry thug tears. It's 2024. Poppy deserves to kiss a man already.

My Stand-In

I don't understand the plot, but it doesn't matter because Pepzi and Khom are directing, and in case that means nothing, those were KinnPorsche's directors! Then, it has Up and Poom as the leads, plus a stacked supporting cast. I'm here. I'm queer. And I'm ready to be served.

Honorable Mention: Peaceful Property

It's about los espookys and features Tay and New. Will it be a QL? The streets are saying no, but all the characters are color coded, and all's I'm saying is what would be the point of color coding them if I ain't getting a BL main couple and a GL side couple? It's already canon to me.

Bonus: MosBank & JoongDunk

Three months passed, then six, then a year. I still hadn’t seen Simon again. I tried not to fall into a depression, throwing myself into my education. I’d applied at law school after law school, but I’m embarrassed to admit I focused on those in the UK, thinking if I could manage to get there, I might find him. Maybe if I did, it would just be fate.

Shockingly, I made it into Cambridge with scholarships. I’d done well in undergrad, but I didn’t think I did THAT well. It was a blessing, though. I spent the year leading up to my first semester saving then got my things together and moved into a little rental house not far from campus.

I’d made it through a couple weeks of classes, and had even managed to make a couple friends. I called Sabrina a lot, though, just to catch up. It was hard adjusting to being without her, but we promised to visit each other when we could.

I was at the grocery store, stocking up on what I could afford. I was waitressing, but still struggling to make ends meet with rent and school costs. I was thankful I’d been saving money for so long and that I got grants and scholarships.

I had a basket full of stuff and was looking for a couple more things to add when I heard someone call my name. I furrowed my eyebrows, looking up to see Soap standing on the other end of the aisle.

My heart skipped a beat, and I moved toward him involuntarily.

“Soap,” I gasped, smile breaking out over my face.

“What’re you doing here, darlin’?” he asked me.

“Oh, I got accepted into the law school at Cambridge, and it was my best option so.. here I am.” I shrugged at the end, like it was obvious or something, and he gave the biggest smile I’d ever seen.

“Hey, can you look up an address for me?” he asked, and I nodded, grabbing my phone and opening Google. He ratted off some numbers and a street name and when I searched, it was a bar not far from the market we were at.

“Here you go,” I showed him and he nodded, grin widening.

“Can you do one more thing for me?” I nodded, waiting for him to continue. “Be at that bar tomorrow night around 10.”

I was taken aback by his request, and I stuttered, “U-uh, I guess I could but, I mean, do you think I should?”

“Of course you should.”

“Will he be there?”

“Yeah, I believe he will,” that smile was still plastered on his face but mine fell.

“I don’t know if he wants to see me, I mean, it’s been over a year. He’s probably forgotten all about me.”

“He hasn’t forgotten about you,” he shook his head as he assured me, but my skepticism still showed on my face, “We just got back from a deployment. It was long. He didn’t want to leave you hanging, he just didn’t have a choice. Trust me, he hasn’t forgotten about you and he wants to see you.”

I felt a paradigm shift and all the times If worried and stressed over him vanished. Of course he’d been deployed. I’d been freaking out for no reason for a year.

“I’ll be there,” I grinned, and he nodded victoriously, going to pay for his groceries and leaving.

In the Room Where It Happened Someone threw it out there as a probability & the more I’ve thought about it, the more I’m convinced it’s true. Because these guys are insane. Because these guys couldn’t read a room (where it happened) if their life depended on it. They actually thought they could bulldoze Charles into this because Charles was nice enough to call Harry & give him a personal heads up about his cancer diagnosis. That was all it took. That was the beginnings of a thaw, no? Détente, yes? Of course, Harry would have to fly out & make the ask in person. Couldn’t let Wet Blanket Willy or the Suits get in the way of Family Unity, Right? But in order for this to make sense, let’s go back a bit.On January 29, 2024, Charles left London Clinic after a 3 day stay for a prostate procedure. Following this, on February 5, it was announced that he was suffering from cancer, type & prognosis unspecified. His sons had already been advised of this personally by Charles & his partially estranged son, Harry, living in Santa Barbara, California, takes it upon himself to fly fourteen hours to London for what has variously been described as a 14 minute or a 30 minute visit before immediately returning home to Santa Barbara. What was that visit about? We don’t really know except, supposedly “cancer.” Rumor has it that he offered to put Megs on the phone to speak with his father & that his father advised him that that wouldn’t be necessary. Speak about what? “Cancer?” That’s all? I, for one, doubt it.I suspect that phone call from Charles caused Harry to believe that relations between Harry & his wife & Charles were back on the mend. Unlike Big Willie, Charles wasn’t holding a grudge. And what better time, thought Harry (& Megs) to push for rapprochement than when the Family was overworked, understaffed, stretched to the limit. So few players. Plenty of room.And this year especially Will & Kate couldn’t provide the usually glamor so Harry & Meghan would! Imagine the headlines! The Fab Four are back, well the Fab Two any way. The breach was healed! So Megs cooked up the plan to send Harry to his Dad for the big ask. He had to ask in person because if any sane person (ie William) heard about it, they would stop in it’s tracks. But it the King somehow got it in his head & decided his darling boy….So King Charles would decide Harry & Meghan would present at the BAFTA’s. William wouldn’t even have to go! He could stay home w/ Kate! “Think of the publicity! Think of how much stress it would remove from the family! Here, just call M! She’ll explain it all to you. She even has the dress. I don’t even have to go home. I can fly to Balmoral w/ you. She can meet us there.”But it didn’t work. Charles, after a shocked silence, “Darling boy. That won’t be necessary.”I really think it happened this way. transcription of dream's private twitter update rant [april 17 2024, parts 1-4]

yo yo yo, quick update. um, i saw -- i saw a reddit post which is why i'm doing this actually, someone said, "why does dream keep doing this?" um, so i just wanna explain something and then, hopefully, uh -- have some understanding, but also just some... clarity.

um, so i've been working on a massive project for over a year now, at this point, um, and i've shared some of it, i did a short where i used some of the technology, i guess -- essentially, in january, but i've been working on it for far longer than that. um, it's something that i'm extremely passionate about and as time has kinda gone on i've been spending more and more time on it.

um, and literally when i say in the last few months i have not left my house, i mean i have not left my house. i mean, i've been doing nothing other but work. i've spent so much time coding everyday, i've spent time learning new things, i've spent a lot of time testing, and -- and coming up with new ideas, and you know. tons of new stuff, obviously it doesnt really mean anything if you don't actually put anything out, i havent put anything out for a very long time, but i will say the reason i've done that is because i want to start uploading when i can upload a bunch, um, and i want it to be awesome obviously, but i also want to be able to just be like, "hey, i'm uploading, and i'm also uploading once every week, or once every two weeks, or once-- twice a month, whatever."

and i don't just mean videos, i also mean shorts, and making content as frequent as i can. Because i want it to be like, "hey, i'm coming back, and i'm going to be like, active now." u, so, if you believe that's the case, and i'm not just making excuses, you should understand that it is just getting to that point. i'm a bit of a perfectionist and it'll never be perfect, so i've-- i've set a lot of deadlines to myself, and then also to other people.

and then what happens is we find something -- there's something, i go to go record, or we go to do something, and then it's just something that we had never gotten to that point before, so we didn't see that issue, or didn't see that thing that was happening in that moment.

so like, as an example, we literally got together we're recording the first video using -- uh, the full complete everything with this. i don't know, a while ago. we're like, "sweet", went to go record, and then discovered something because we had never actually recorded with it, we'd only done like, tests and so and so forth.

we discovered something! and i was like, "oh shit," and that became a whole thing that took forever to, you know, that changed a bunch of stuff and took forever to go around. and then like, while we were doing stuff on that, it was like, now we're working on -- we're working on other things while we have this time, and any downtime i have, i'm gonna spend it on this thing.

um. and then while i was -- the most recent delay on some stuff was, while i was in one of those downtimes, where i was waiting on people or i was working on fixing an issue, um, i found something cool! where i was like, "oh shit," i should explore this. explored it, and then the other issue's fixed, and then it's like, "well, let me finish this thing, because, this thing's actually -- it's gonna add to it in this way, or um, uh, whatever.

so essentially, there's been a lot of additive stuff, but there's also been a lot of planning and of course it doesn't help that. um, some stuff happened, in the middle of it, which did occupy a lot of time and energy and stuff. and also, i -- i don't -- i don't like throwing this in here, because it is more personal, and you know -- it -- it's not, i don't like including this in an excuse for --

[laughing] okay never mind i changed my mind on that last part! so i just paused the mic, and i decided, whatever you can just have that -- that left out. um, but yeah anyway! some stuff will come soon, it'll be awesome, i'm sick of kinda hyping stuff up. but it has been -- there's been multiple times where i'm like, "okay, i'm uploading this weekend," because it's done, it's ready to go, and then we go to record -- we hit a new, after we passed that previous point, where i'm like, "okay, i'm confident we're getting something out." um, i'll tweet about it or do something because i'm excited. because i'm just like, "oh my god, this is awesome! finally! holy shit! we can go!" so i'll tweet about it, and then i'll look like an idiot, because we -- we'll just -- jsut pass that point, there's another roadblock.

So -- so yeah. i guess there's -- my little rant's over, that's the best update i can give, all i can say is that, and i'll also say that i-- it's kinda cool for you guys to see stuff grow with me, and change, and see uh, the content evolve -- [squeaking noise] -- that was my chair, that was. Um, [laughs].

so, it's not like uh -- a lot of people will say like "oh, just -- you can just post anything we don't care!" but it's like, -- yeah, but it's like i love this. i love this. and i don't mean this, i just mean, like -- making content. i love it. i love it. it is my favourite thing in the world to sit down, come up with an idea, do everything in my power to execute it, and then put it out there and see people's reactions. or see how people -- how it affects them, or just see how it changes their day, or makes them smile, or whatever.

it's just creating, just like making things. um, so at the end of the day, a lot of people -- "oh, you can just go play minecraft"-- no! i don't wanna just play minecraft, i don't wanna do that, okay? i've never done that. i've never done that. like, even with manhunt, and -- which just seems so simple -- "oh, you just sat down and played minecraft and had your friends try to stop you". yeah! but, every video, i was looking into editing techniques, and new ways of using music, and new ways of making music, and [sighs]. new -- of -- evolutions of minecraft, and new bugs and glitches, and new-- how to practice, and -- i was evolving as a player

so there was a lot of things i was spending my time on, that was part of the creative process, and i feel like i maxxed out on a lot of those things. that - -that's not -- that exact thing is not fun for me. so what is fun for me is creating new things, and uh - -you know, evolving... the space, and -- anyway.

so i spent a lot of time on it, and as soon as possible i'll have something out. i've been in -- literally since january i've been in this state of, uh, "hey, this weekend we're gonna put something out." and it's just every week there's something.

eventually there'll be nothing. and when that happens, it'll be awesome. and when i say, "this is so-- whatever, this is so awesome," it's like -- i'm not hyping it up in a way where it's like, "guys, you'll see just one video, and you'll be like, 'holy shit! my life is changed!'" No. that's not what i mean, it's just really cool, and something that i wanna spend the next year... or more doing -- of course other stuff, but also, a lot of stuff with these things that i've done. over the last year.

so, that's why i'm excited. i'm really excited to start uploading, but i'm also excited to share this stuff with you. um, and i'm also just really excited to have something that i'm passionate about, something i'm happy about, that i can be proud of. um, and that i -- that i can, you know, that's unique and that i can make content on. because manhunt, that's unique, and i found a unique thing that i came up with, and i, you know, i did a lot of stuff with it.

and that's what i love. it's just -- making new things, um, and then having fun with them. and that's it.

but yeah! i think it's valid, and thats why i've kinda shut up recently [laughs] the last two make me look like an idiot, because i was like, "yes! we're recording! we're fucking doing it! alright i'm tweeting because i'm excited!" and then it kinda backfired. because there was just like, literally we had something that shipped in that day, and then it just didn't work. and i was like, "oh wait, okay, we need a new... item." and so, it's, custom-made and stuff so it took a bit.

that's fixed. so, um, we're working on other stuff. but yeah, there you go, there's some more excuses so you can put that in your excuse list for a bit. but yeah, i'll be uploading soon. peace!

"pathetic bitch who can't even speak! hah, you think you can steal my man? as if!" hanjin's girlfriend, jiwon, spat at you as she poured hot water, just below boiling, all over your head, causing you to whimper as the water dripped down your face.

"girls, let's teach this whore not to mess around with taken men, shall we?" jiwon laughed mockingly, kicking your stomach and stepping on your leg harshly.

you didn't even do anything, only tapping on hanjin's shoulders to ask for notes as you couldnt speak to get his attention, but apparently his girlfriend had other thoughts, thinking you were trying to flirt with him.

jiwon's minions proceeded to pull at your hair, stomping aggressively at your legs and stomach as they threw extra food they got from lunch at you. you tried to stop them, desperately, with futile attempts of shielding yourself from any attack from them. you made strange noises, in an attempt to get anyone's attention without words you couldnt speak.

"jiwon! what are you doing?" you heard a familiar voice call out as the door suddenly slammed open. it was hanjin.

"h-hanjin... i-i wasnt doing anything, i swear! i was helping her, really!" she sent you a threatening look for you to nod along and agree with her, which only caused hanjin to look at her disapprovingly.

"jiwon, i thought you were better than this. i cant believe you would bully a poor girl. i cant stand being with a bully, jiwon, lets break up." he stated simply as he shoved his way between jiwon's minions to help you up.

"what? you're breaking up with me? for this mute girl who cant even speak?" she pointed at you accusingly, eyes wide in disbelief.

"so what if she's mute? she has a better heart than you, and she would never bully someone like you did. i dont want to see you anymore, jiwon. let's end this peacefully, i dont want to fight. dont show up in front of me again." hanjin spoke quickly yet sternly, before leaving the room and the girls in shock.

he wrapped his arm around your waist, aiding you in your trip to the nurse's office as he apologised for his now ex-girlfriend's actions, which you replied that your fine in sign language.

"im sorry you had to go through that, [name]. i promise I'll help you whenever something like that happens, i wont let you go through that again..." hanjin apologised again as he held your hand gently once you reached the nurses office. the nurse tended to your wounds gently as hanjin supported you the entire time.

'thank you for your help. im alright now.' you signed to him once your wounds were bandaged. you waited for his response patiently, only to receive none. you looked up slowly, not knowing what's going on, only to be met with a warm and gentle hug.

"im always be here for you, [name] i promise."

The Gentlemen - season 1 (2024) review

Alright, alright, alright….. wait, McConaughey is not in this one? Oh, well that’s not alright, alright, alright…

Plot: When aristocratic Eddie inherits the family estate, he discovers that it's home to an enormous weed empire, and its proprietors aren't going anywhere.

Guy Ritchie is honestly great. Since way back when he made Lock, Stock and Snatch, he’s consistently churned out top quality entertainment, except maybe the Aladdin remake. I mean I totally get he probably got a superb pay check out of it, but honestly what in the heavens did Guy Ritchie have to do with blue genies I will never know. Regardless, where the man really excels at is when it comes to the British gangster genre. The guy can make swearing sound so poetic and melodic - it’s honestly mad how something so otherwise rude can come off utterly beautiful and delightful like a song. Especially in his 2019 film The Gentlemen, the writing in that movie was so good!! Naturally Netflix caught onto this too as we now how a spin-off series.

Going into the show I was looking forward to it but also cautious, as I was aware this new show was missing the star power of the original film. I mean can you blame me? The movie had the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Colin Farrell and Hugh Grant to name a few. That’s a solid load of A-listers huddled together. As for the show, the names like Theo James or Kaya Scodelario didn’t instil heavy excitement, especially with James as honestly, I always thought he was a bit of a prick. Granted this may be due to when he played the dickhead in The Inbetweeners movie, and gosh do I feel old with that reference, but he just has that face of a guy that’s so full up his own arse. Again, I’ve never met the chap, he’s probably a lovely human being, but I’ve made this prejudgment in my head and as such when I found out he was the lead of this series I naturally rolled my eyes. That being said I give Netflix props as they hired the original film director Guy Ritchie to create this spin-off and even direct some of the episodes and do a lot of the writing, so of course I was going to check this show out.

Never doubt the Guy should be a new cinematic rule. I’m proud to report that the new The Gentlemen series is a fantastic watch. It’s not the most original show, yet it plays out more-so like a Guy Ritchie’s greatest hits, as it’s got his visual flare and style, with the super cool and smooth fashion choices - honestly Scodelario has a wardrobe change every other scene and each time it felt like she was walking out of a Tom Ford fashion exhibit, and then also all the men wearing their gentlemanly suits dripping with swagger and smoking their cigars and drinking their whiskeys - the whole thing is simply infused with that signature upper-class British gangster feel. Ritchie’s signature syllable-heavy dialogue that just rolls of the tongue is also more than ever present here, and whoever decided to cast Giancarlo Esposito in this show deserves a pay rise, as Esposito’s soft-spoken melodic tone proclaiming the colourful lines of Ritchie’s rich exposition was music to the ears.

The cast here too are super game. Theo James was actually solid as the lead young duke, as he had that manly prowess and was very believable as someone who gets shit done. Kaya Scodelario I thought at first was trying too hard to mimic Michelle Dockery from the original movie, but eventually she made the role her own, and she gave enough mystery to her performance to make us feel uncertain of her true motivations. Daniel Ings as the duke loser-cocaine-addicted-brother Freddy was a lot of fun, however I would say his character became a bit overbearing and annoying in the end, as he constantly made so many mistakes throughout that I honestly kind of wanted him to get killed. It’s as if whenever the show needed an excuse for something bad to happen, they’d just get Freddy to fuck up again. Apologies for my language, I don’t usually swear in my reviews, but also this is a Guy Ritchie project we’re talking about, and he uses the F word every other sentence. So fuck it. In regards to other notable cast members, Pearce Quigley as Gospel John, a leader of a religious gang was oddly creepy yet entertaining, especially when he’d randomly scream certain lines for absolutely no reason. Pure psycho. Peter Serafinowicz and Guz Khan have amusing turns. Lastly we have two British gangster alumni Vinnie Jones and Ray Winstone. These two of course were on a different level to everyone else. Of course Vinnie Jones can be quite cheesy when it comes to acting. One can fondly remember his delivery of the line “I’m the Juggernaut, bitch!”. But when it comes to Guy Ritchie, Jones and him have always been a great pairing. Here as the duke estates’ caretaker, Vinnie is super reserved yet again super cool. I think cool is a word that can be used and abused when it comes to this show. It’s all so cool! Then Ray Winstone as the leader of the crime family… I mean it’s Ray Winstone as the leader of the crime family! He got that Godfather-level gravitas, only more Cockney, and it was great watching him do his thing.

When it comes to the story, this show is standalone to the original film. You can definitely see the inspiration though with certain narrative beats and story choices being very reflective/similar to what occurred in the film, and then the hidden weed farm under the estate looked like exactly the same set as from the film. But overall this is completely its own thing, and each episode brings more fun crime shenanigans for the characters to deal and navigate through, and it was consistently entertaining. My only complaint is that I’d say the finale a tad anti-climactic. I think with all the roughness and toughness that the characters go through, the ending tied everything up a bit too conveniently and neatly. I get I’m not to expect the most realistic thing as this is Guy Ritchie’s world, but I did want things to get a bit more messy, especially due to the build up. That being said this is a major win for Netflix, and I’m expecting a season 2 to be green-lit soon, as this is a winning package.

im not the same anon from this but do u hear urself srsly? pedri was better, he was the best player for Barca and cleared jude. on and off the ball he was a danger and created so many chances and plays and yes it’s true it’s not ur fault our attack can’t finish but if u watched the game you could see how many times pedri got potential assists wasted + it’s 2024 let’s stop comparing midfielders by g/a it’s sad 😕😕😕

rma was the better team no doubt but let’s give credit to the people who deserve it and was a threat to you😊

Reading comprehension would be great🥰

I never compared their g/a, I said it’s a lie to say Jude flopped when he had an assist and a lie to say Pedri was better (this point I never used the assist as my evidence) as neither of them “cleared” each other in this game :)

Both played very well, but I believe Jude played a bit better. While it does suck that Barca can’t give Pedri better goal-scoring stats, that doesn’t take away Jude’s skills.

To clarify, I have 2 points:

1. Pedri and Jude both played dangerously well, but I think Jude was a bit better

2. Jude is not the flop culers try to make him out to be in this game when he had an assist and many great plays/passes/blocks (nothing to do with Pedri and his stats)

Pedri (and Lamine) both played great and I am excited to see his stats and skills during the season while he’s healthy, so there’s no animosity from me there

But you forget that Jude was part of the reason Real Madrid was the better team :)

I give credit, as you say, to both, but more so to Jude because he played better in this game, overall we shall see because there’s barely anything to compare these two with :)

happy 2017 i love all of you

honestly i don’t get much traction on here or any other platform besides when i post art or there’s like, drama.. i’m sorta used to it tho and have kinda preferred it this way. but i think i did a lot better this year at coming out of my shell & sharing my creations. i even joined a map that was really fun to do with one of my closest best friends, the same one i met in person for the first time in October

so, @bigbadconnivingbastard hi Pearl <3 thanks for making my 2023 amazing. there’s so much i could say to you but first & foremost thank you for believing in my change. you’ve stuck by me for like 3-4 years now, but i feel like we really did something this year. i love watching you get better and i love hearing you talk about all the crazy stuff you’re into, i hope you and i can start talking more because i do miss you. thanks you for everything you do, thank you for being my friend. i cannot stress enough how much of a positive impact you’ve had on me, i’ve been getting better for you & it makes me so happy that we got to hang out again recently

for so cries the wolf; who's your favorite character to write? do you have a favorite fight scene? (i think about the one super early one between y/n and eclipse when they're sparring is my personal favorite; the flow of action is really well done and the tension is so so good!)

i love that while eclipse is tied to them, sun and moon were kept as their own distinct characters within the fic! are there any fun facts about the sctw versions of dca boys that you can share that aren't super spoilery?

dose monty know he is the best church grim/hell hound ever in the whole world and he deserves all the pets and treats and forehead kisses on his big ole skull head?

for tangled strings; it's been a while since i've reread chapter 1 but i love love love the set up we get in the single chapter so far! the characterizations are so good too; you can really feel how on edge/wary everyone is (for their own good reasons!) and that it'll be a satisfying journey for them to all open up and start to trust/be vulnerable with one another.

what inspired the specific aspects of curse sun and moon are under? what's their relationship with each other outside of the newfound one with y/n? (soulmates with each other, business partners, romantic partners, friends who got cursed together, related in some way, etc? or is it undefined for the most part?)

favourite character to write is a tie between Montague and Eclipse. in the case of Eclipse, I'm literally putting together his character as the story progresses, he only truly gets created in chapter 1, and every interaction he has develops more of their character and how they'll go on to carry out further interactions. in the case of Montague, he's just the most grounded character in the group, he's here to try and keep everything together, acting as much of a voice of reason as he can provide with all the events that are going on. he also acts as Y/N's tutor in a way, and makes for a nice way to provide a little more explanation into different cryptids or magical events in the story.

favourite fight scene to write was Y/N, Montague and Eclipse vs Roxy. it marked a point in the story that took it just from urban fantasy to full-blown horror, and there was something narratively fulfilling about working through the first fight where it felt like Team Ranger didn't have the upper hand in the overall situation.

the SCtW DCA boys are pretty close in personality to our classic Security Breach DCA boys. Sun is more snarky and blunt because he's dealing with adults now and not children, and Moon is more withdrawn because he's dealing with guilt from being forced to act on the virus' behalf. although we'll be sure to get some gremlin Moon in before the story closure.

Monty absolutely knows he's the best dog boy of all time, although he might need some reassurances about being the best church grim/hell hound. give him lots of skull head kisses, you'll have his tail wagging soon enough

Tangled Strings

for the specific aspects of the curse Sun and Moon are under, I wanted it to be something two-fold. the first part is something obvious and physical - the twisted wood hand - it marks them as having done something bad enough to inflict a curse, provides a mark of monstrosity. the second part will be introduced in the story itself, but it's something to do with removal of individuality and any sort of control.

their relationship is one of the very best of friends. Sun and Moon met each other at a musketeer training school, were pressed into spending time with each other to try and balance out the worst sides of their personalities, and proceeded to make each other even worse in the best ways. they ran away together, hit the road together, have been running scams together for years now. the only blight on their friendship has been that they never formed soulmate threads between each other....until now.

Short Dramione fic review (and some spoilers too)

I am currently reading The Binding by curly_kay thanks to a subreddit recommendation, and a comment saying that it's beautifully written. I've been reading this one for days now, and I am reading it slowly because I like savoring bits and pieces of the story.

I have never laughed (and giggled and kicked my feet) so much at a Dramione fic until this one, and I can definitely imagine Draco and Hermione acting the way they are in this story - like the conversations I feel are true to their characters. Usually, when I read Dramione fics I tend to think whether these characters are really going to say these (in the movies, for example), and it ends up with me having a hard time imagining them talking that way. Either way, I force it. But this one, it just goes naturally. I am in love. 🥰

I just finished the last chapter before the epilogue, and I am crying. I'm very happy and satisfied with all the events that happened in this fic. It covered all 8 movies, and the ending is just *chef's kiss* 🥰

It has been more or less 3 weeks since I started reading this, and as I mentioned in my previous post of this it's because I wanted to savor every bit of this piece of work, hence I took my time. Finishing this fic made me so nostalgic about my reading this the first time... I wish I could go back to experiencing the tension that developed as the story was just in rising action. I didn't even feel the climax of the story, and it was already ending.

The flow of the story was good. Switching of POVs was AMAZING and I am very happy about the characters who got their spotlights every chapter.

The pairings are also *chef's kiss* ❤️ We have our Dramione, NottPott.... and when Pansy was brought in, I was like, "who could the Gryffindor be? Ron is a possible choice, but it was already mentioned that he was with Lavender... so it has to be Neville." Well I was wrong, I cannot believe it! It was indeed Pansy x Ron! Then we have Blaise x Luna. Super cute.

Narcissa actually played a huge role in this story... She actually got involved with Dumbledore and Snape! To protect Draco, and to protect Hermione.

We also have a side character who I thought was annoying at first, but I was like, I just know this character is the author putting us, the readers, in the story, shipping Dramione, being the wing girl, setting them up! Her name is Amelia. She's their junior, from Hufflepuff.

Smut was also lit. It was hot, but not too much where it basically became pr0n type.

I love love LOVED this fic so much!

There were chapters where it hurt, of course, but I knew they were doing it for a reason. It was all worth it in the end though.
