Seeming to flow down a slope in this cacti house was Sedum morganianum (burro's tail, donkey tail). This evergreen succulent has trailing stems growing 30cm or longer. The fleshy, glaucous blue-green leaves are sometimes joined by clusters of small, starry reddish purple flowers.

Unseasonal for no snow to be here, but at least some of the Schlumbergeras are popping around the right time despite hit/miss care.

These columnar cacti, Cleistocactus hyalacanthus, branches at the base to form a cluster of stems densely clad in yellowish-white needle-like spines. This species is from Bolivia to North West Argentina and grows primarily in the desert or dry shrubland.

Working on a new #cactusandsucculents room. We don’t have a sunroom at our new home but we have huge windows with the most beautiful light.

A couple of crocheted cacti I’ve made recently. I had these tiny terra cotta pots in my room for a while, and since they’re much too small for any of my real plants, I made these little ones.
One is just a few crocheted chains (two rows wide) that coincidentally ended up looking like a cactus, and the other is made of round shapes (some circles and some unstuffed spheres). I based the second one on a bunny ear cactus.
I also used some brown knitted material scraps for the soil. I just stitched the plants on and tucked them into their pots (๑• ω •๑)
