Ok… is it common to buy books you haven’t read yet? Because I almost exclusively buy books once I have read them and know I want to own them, but I keep running into ppl who think I’m buying books to read them for the first time??? That sounds like a surefire way to waste money, but APPARENTLY it’s a thing.

besties let me make this VERY clear. I’m not a reader, I am a book addict. Will I buy the next pretty book I see sitting helplessly on the shelf? YES. Even if it means having no more shelf space and going in debt? 1000%. I am a book buyer, a book enthusiast if you will. please respect my privacy at this time.

Say there, random Tumblr people.
Because I have neither the time, nor the money, nor the shelf space to do otherwise, I keep a list of all the books I wish I could buy, instead of just going out & buying them.
But with the solution to one problem, another arises: decision fatigue. There are so many books on my list, I can't just choose one all by myself! And so I like to resort to the strange & idiosyncratic solution of asking random people for help.
People like you!
Please vote (and I wouldn't object if you told all your friends to vote) in this completely unnecessary poll, whose entries are the seven books currently at the top of my Buy This list — and help me choose which one I shall buy next?
I pledge to buy a copy of whichever book wins. The losers will wrap around to the bottom of the list, and if this ridiculous business has any traction on Tumblr, you may see them again.
