Is ‘Gauntlet at the Garden’ at the actual MSG Arena or at the MSG Theater ?
Either way it’s great, and a testament to the success of the show and talent of the crew/cast. And they’ll all be amazing
Buuuuuuuuut, one of those has 5,000 seats and the other has nearly 20,000 seats and is MAJORLY CULTURALLY HISTORICAL TO AN UMPTEENTH DEGREE.

For jeno and yn
What's a quirky habit your partner has that you secretly adore?
Describe each other in three words
What's your favorite thing about your partner's personality?
What's a small, everyday gesture that means a lot to you?
What's a goal you're currently working towards as a couple?
What's a pet peeve you've learned to accept about each other?
jeno - she calls me baby and jeno the most but she’ll say “no no” really cutely when she wants something from me that she knows, otherwise that i’ll say no to. she has me wrapped around her little finger.
yn - he has the power of being able to tear open my bra straps with his teeth. half the time he doesn’t even use his hands. he also tears off my lingerie and pajamas with his teeth. he can do a lot of stuff with his teeth, when he wants my attention he shows me how he opens a beer cap with his teeth… it always ends with me all over him
jeno - enchanting, breathtaking, enduring
yn - radiant, magnetic, serene
jeno - there’s a lot. to save time i’ll list one. i love how emotionally mature and understanding she is. we avoid a lot of arguments and miscommunication solely because we both are on the same emotional maturity level and on the same wave length. she’s very chill, just being in the same room as her has a soothing effect on my heart. she’s definitely calmed me down and kept me grounded.
yn - he has the ability to always make me smile. through his acts of service for me, the way he shows me his love. he cooks for me, helps me in the gym, always takes care of me and my health, always keeps me hydrated and fed, does my errands for me. having a man care about me as much as he does is so attractive. his sense of humor stands out to me a lot too. he doesn’t seem like the funny guy but he has me cracking up so much. being with someone who makes me smile dsy after day is so important to me. he helps me through a lot of stormy days.
jeno - i have a problem with my muscles and joints, they go sore and acne a lot. without me even telling her, she knows when i’m in pain and she takes action by massaging me and putting joint gel all over me. her soft hands and warmth make me fold
yn - like i said before, he always takes care of me. always makes sure i’m hydrated and fed, does a lot of my chores and errands while telling me to rest and running me a hot bath. he’s a sweetheart. also the aftercare he gives me after sex :o
yn - were serious about our future, we’re currently saving a lot to hopefully buy our first house together. yes, house. we work hard and we aim high, we have big expectations and want to make this a family home. we even have a shared banking account
jeno - [whiskers to the audience whilst yn isn’t in the room] she doesn’t know that i’m building her a house, her dream house. we have a lot of goals, move in together, get married, have kids, travel the world. we’re getting there. we’ve already started our travelling goals, we’ve been to 15 different countries together and we’re booking holidays so frequently.
jeno - she’s a very expressive sleeper. she snores, moans, talks, giggles, drools in her sleep. she’s such a deep sleeper too, it’s difficult to wake her up when she needs to get up
yn - jeno’s just rude, lmao. he’s straightforward to a lot of people and he can come across as quite passive aggressive and direct. he’s completely different with me though, the “hates everyone in the world but you” is how he feels about me

1. FALLEN ANGELS, dir. wong kar wai
“as time progresses, you realize that a lot of the coolness and comedy held in the wordlessness of these characters is actually a façade to cover up just how desperately lonely everyone is. [...] the only way you know about their dreams, their aspirations, their full personhood is the disembodied thoughts they express through the narration. [...] no one is open enough for a real dialogue and connection, so instead they find other ways to force people to stay. maybe it’s sex, or violence, or a sales pitch. sometimes it works for an hour, for a night, or even a week, but it can’t last. even in the end, where the killer’s agent and he zhiwu find each other in silence and ride off into the sunset on a motorbike, the connection doesn’t feel permanent or guaranteed. a spark can only go so far. without real and open dialogue, the vice-grip will loosen and someone will leave. then we’re back in the beautifully lit dive bar, leaned against the jukebox as a mournful song plays, thinking of what could have been.” – with “fallen angels,” less words are more, oluwatayo adewole
channeled songs: spider by hoshi (“i want to stay here with you here, tangled up and trapped together”) · elevator (127f) by nct 127 (“let's just keep it simple”) · in the aeroplane over the sea by neutral milk hotel (“but for now we are young, let us lay in the sun, and count every beautiful thing we can see”) · call me maybe by carly rae jepsen (“before you came into my life, i missed you so bad”)
cards pulled: ace of wands, the devil, three of swords (rx), four of swords (rx), ace of swords (rx), the chariot (rx) and the ten of swords ; five of cups (rx), page of swords, king of cups (rx)
ARE YOU READY FOR LOVE?
hey there, pile one ♡ to begin this reading, i am seeing that what you want from love is to be understood on both an intelligence and sensual level, where you might have previously only been seen through the sensual lens; desired for your body and not for who you are in your entirety. you want to feel as if you have the full attention of your partner with regards to your wants and needs. you want to feel desired and attractive to your partner even after a long time of being together. you may be wondering if your standards for love are too high and if you should be lowering them in case they leave you “single for life”.
what you want from love and what you have received from love are at odds. the relationships you have had in the past may have been driven by the physical; hook-ups where the partners did not communicate with each other what they really want leading to confusion and heartbreak, sometimes this could have been your partner who did not communicate that all they wanted was a purely physical relationship while at other times it could have been you. there is a history of codependency in your previous relationships that often saw you losing yourself in your partner, and losing your identity in what your partner wishes for it to be. yes, your previous relationships have caused you a lot of pain, but they have also taught you so much about yourself, about the truths of your desires and standing independently in who you are, as well as about being a better communicator. or have at least pushed you towards doing the difficult work of understanding yourself in all these ways.
while you have this idea of what you want in love and your past experiences have taught you so much, there is still a lot that is holding you back from love. past heartbreak most of all. you are so hung up on the pain of your past relationships and connections that it is causing you not to progress on your journey towards love. there is a call for you to heal, and this can only be done if you confront your wounds instead of ignoring them and pretending it's all okay when it is not. you may not be able to forgive those who have hurt you, and you honestly do not have to, but if you do not address the pain they have caused you in some way it will only make the pain worse, will only hurt you more, and will hold you back from love.
now to delve into the readiness of your heart, mind, and spirit. i see in the four of wands reversed that your heart is ready or is very near to being ready. you have gone through a lot of change and have had to face a lot of darkness, but you are also fighting for your own healing. you are in a way, after all these challenges, becoming yourself. as your heart strengthens, you may feel as if you are strong enough to handle everyone else's burdens on top of your own but do not go down this route of being so caught up in the opinions of others, especially of any new romantic interests, that you risk your sense of self and identity. your heart wants you to know that while you may be looking for love, you may be apprehensive because of past hurt, but both the challenges and the work you are doing in healing has made it strong enough to handle any heartbreak or challenges that may arise in the future. and challenge is inevitable. hiding from it does not serve you.
for the readiness of your mind, i started hearing “let's just keep it simple” (from elevator (127f) by nct 127) when i got to this point, so what i am seeing is that your mind and heart are quite at odds. while your heart is prepared for love your mind wants to take it slow and thinks it would be best to shy away from commitment for the time being. your love life may be lacking in fun, either always too serious or fun for the other party and not necessarily for you, and right now that's what your mind is yearning for, or what your mind believes to be the safest route. it may also be, in line with this, that you are overthinking love and, thus, are scared of committment. your past relationships and connections have caused so much pain and damage that your mind is not strong enough to potentially deal with that again. so keep it simple, keep it cute, buy me a drink and leave it at that, is basically what your mind wants at this moment. it is important to listen to your mind, if you don't you may risk ending up in a far worse state then when you started your healing journey. meditate, rest, nourish your mind and soul and truly introspect on the residual mental wounds from past relationships and connections by which you continue to be plagued.
as for the readiness of your spirit, here i pulled the chariot reversed and the ten of swords (the ten of swords slipped into my spread without me realising until the end), which is a good sign. it's interesting to me that your reading is associated with fallen angels when, like the movie, it is a tale of two different stories; half of you ready for love and half of you only wanting to pull back and not embrace it yet. with the chariot reversed, your spirit acknowledges these challenges and blockages that are keeping you from truly moving forward, however this is what it is ready for. moving forward. your spirit recognises the work you still need to do put but it is ready for the challenges that may, and will, arise, as we see in the ten of swords. your spirit asks you not to shy away from new opportunities out of fear. do the healing work necessary and trust that your spirit (and heart and mind) will be rested and strong enough. trust that you are strong enough and that you are fully capable of facing these risks for the chance at a high reward.
WHAT IF ... YOU PURSUED THE CONNECTION WITH YOUR CRUSH?
this might be difficult to hear, but you must know that what spirit asks of you is to move on from this connection. yes, there is love in your future, but it is not here in this connection and in order to find it you need to move on. this crush may not be going anywhere, and from what i am seeing, you do not want it to. it will hurt to let go of this crush, as it always hurts to let go of something you have poured your heart into, but as important as it is to let go it it as important to actually feel your pain so that you may re-enter the dating pool in due time.
now to go into depth about why spirit urges you to not pursue anything more with your crush, at least not in a romantic sense. the page of swords and king of cups reversed suggest a warning. this person may be important to you as a friend, or as an “activator” of sorts to give you an opportunity to prove to yourself that the work you have put into healing has been sufficient. in a relationship, however, i do not see you two complementing each other, rather i see you as a couple that is argumentative and conflicting in various areas of life and relationships. this crush is highly emotionally immature as a lover where you are more mature and stable, and are doing the work into growing. as a result of this, you may be in a mindset and time of your life where you may be wanting to start a family, but this person is just not ready for that. at least–and i'm sorry,–but not ready to start this family with you. if this person is capable of maturing, they are not ready to do it for you or for your possible relationship. now, if this is person is married and making you all these promises, know that that is all this is: empty promises made to keep you within a reachable distance without any intent to actually step up and do the mature thing. a relationship with this person may not at all be happy. spider by hoshi was in my head from the moment i started your reading and i realise now that this is where it becomes most relevant. you may be intoxicated by this person's dark energy; excited by the toxicity and danger of the situation, and not realising or refusing to realise how much it could hurt you.
2. KAMIKAZE GIRLS, dir. tetsuya nakashima
“like enid and rebecca in "ghost world," these two lonely girls travel through a world of their own creation, manufactured from the detritus of pop culture and pronounced alienation. [...] ichiko punctures momoko's isolation, taking a pin to the bubble the other girl calls self, which may be a metaphor about japan (or not). what the film does say, with infectious exuberance, is that in a world in which shopping is a cartesian truism -- in the immortal words of barbara kruger, "i shop therefore i am" -- it's so much nicer to go with a friend.” – two girls with one goal: they just want to have fun, manohla dargis
channeled songs: round&round by nct u (“everything is useless, i revolve around you, without being able to move closer”) · applause by lady gaga (“give me that thing that I love (i'll turn the lights out)”) · overcome by sparky · talk by hozier (“imagine being loved by me!”)
cards pulled: the magician (rx), the star (rx), eight of pentacles, six of pentacles, five of wands, four of cups (rx) ; two of pentacles, queen of pentacles, the lovers
ARE YOU READY FOR LOVE?
hey there, group 2 ♡ to begin your reading i see a certain lack of confidence that stops you from having relationships. what you want from love is to feel known by your partner; to be loved even for those things of which you are insecure as well as to love someone through those things of which they are insecure. especially those insecurities that they have not shared with others. in love, you desire rawness, trust, equal give and take.
your past experiences with love, however, have caused you to lose faith in love and the universe's promise to bring love to you. you wonder why you can't be as happy as others are, you wonder when it's going to be your turn... your faith has been tested by your past romantic experiences, and current romantic situation, but if you must take any lesson from this it is that the Divine and spirit are there for you. if you must learn anything from your past experiences it is to trust in the universe as it prepares you for the gentle love you deserve, and as it shapes your self-confidence and feelings of worth to be ready for a well-rounded relationship. do not fall into cynicism, or into thinking that all love has for you is pain because this is absolutely not the case.
as for what is holding you back from love, besides the lack of self-confidence i see that you are focusing too much on education or work. and while this is important, of course, you are throwing too much of yourself and your time into these endeavour and not paying attention to the opportunities at love that are coming your way or being offered to you. or, you are throwing yourself into work and school as a distraction. because if you can just focus on this next presentation this assignment this meeting you don't have to focus on addressing and healing your relationship-related pain.
now to get into the readiness of your heart, mind, and spirit. for this part we have the six of pentacles, five of wands and the four of cups (reversed).
your heart wants so badly to share love and good fortune with another. it has taken then pain that past relationships and connections have caused it and has become only even more capable of loving.
your mind and spirit are at odds with this, however, with neither having fully healed from these past experiences. your mind is still sensitive to heartbreak and in any upcoming relationship you may be prone to overthinking, to looking out for every sign that means they will leave you or will otherwise hurt you. you heart mind desires yes–something new, someone who will will challenge it and you–but it is so unsure of what lies ahead it does not feel ready to pursue anything yet. similarly, your spirit is wounded. it is as reluctant to open up to someone new as your mind. both your mind and spirit require nurturing and for you to go through a period of withdraw in order to help them heal. right now, even if you have someone in mind, it may be best not to pursue anything romantically. surround yourself with those you love, meditate and journal, and treat yourself with love as you would a partner. if you are feeling discontent and unhappy with the state of your love life at the moment, allow yourself to truly feel those emotions instead of burying your feelings in distractions.
remember that it is a very limited amount of healing that we can do by ourselves; no healing at all if you choose to distract and ignore and pretend. it is a painful journey, but it is needed. like our main characters in kamikaze girls, what you may need now, far more than the relationship you're seeking, is to open yourself up to friendship and the love found within friendship. it could be friendship that you are not allowing yourself from experiencing by throwing yourself so much into school or work, but there is someone offering it out to you. an olive branch you just need to accept, even if it is awkward at first.
WHAT IF ... YOU PURSUED THE CONNECTION WITH YOUR CRUSH?
pulling these cards genuinely made me so happy... this connection, if pursued, would be such a prosperous one. even when obstacles arise, as they do in all relationships, you will find a way to work through it together. there is balance here. yet, in the beginning things with this connection may be far more tricky. you will be in a situation where you have to make a decision; it might be this crush is in your workplace or is a close friend and you have to figure out what would be best for both parties moving forward in this relationship.
in fact as we have both the two of pentacles and the lovers, you may often need to make difficult decisions, address priorities and, if needed, re-prioritise. such as in a situation where you may find yourself questioning if you are ready to juggle that which a relationship asks of you with what your job or school also asks of you, or, in the relationship where you may have to choose between staying in one country with your partner or moving away (i'm seeing to another country, in particular) in order to pursue academic or professional goals.
however, as i already mentioned, this relationship will be harmonious. as a partner your crush is stable and level-headed, thus creating an equally as stable relationship environment. they will meet your standards–shockingly, to you, if your standards are particularly high–and will not only have money but will want to share their wealth with you and look after you. you two form a balanced union in which you empower each other, encourage each other and boost each other's confidence. there is a long-term quality to this relationship and, if committed to, may result in marriage. of course if marriage is not for you or not accessible to you i definitely see some kind of life commitment or life commitment ceremony taking place.
3. SYNDROMES AND A CENTURY, dir. apichatpong weerasethakul
“what is it all about? like weerasethakul's previous features - tropical malady (2004) and blissfully yours (2001) - it takes as its starting point a tale of tangled human relationships, in this case the faltering love life of a demure young female doctor at a remote, upcountry thai hospital. then it takes off into alternative worlds, alternative realities, unrealities, surrealities. the same scenes are played again, in different settings, with different people. the buddhist idea of reincarnation is being sported with. or is the film simply questioning the 19th-century train-tracks of traditional narrative?” – syndromes and a century | film review, peter bradshaw
channeled songs: replay (pm 01:27) by nct 127 (“i just wanna be loved”) · make me cry by pip millet (“im numb, lonely, thought i was the only one, it's hard to find the right words, knowing that they'll all hurt, in sync with the sunset, down and I am out for the night, surrounded by the darkness, trying to find the light”) · at seventeen by janis ian (“i learned the truth at seventeen, that love was meant for beauty queens”) · bungee by nct dream (“come here, babe, there's nothing to fear”)
cards pulled: eight of pentacles (rx), six of wands (rx), ace of wands (rx), the magician, the chariot (rx), four of pentacles ; temperance, queen of pentacles, ace of pentacles
ARE YOU READY FOR LOVE?
hey there, group 3 ♡ in love i see that you want something careful, something thoughtful. you want a relationship where you hold each other accountable and work together to love each other as the other needs. you want a relationship where no one wants for the love they desire, and where you can feel safe, protected and assured.
as for what you have learned from love, the six of wands (reversed) tells me what you have learned most of all is doubt and lack of confidence. you see the love and attention your peers and friends receive and you have come to doubt your own worth and attractiveness. you feel unloved and neglected, and as if you'll never have a real, meaningful love. as a result of this inattention your confidence has been greatly shaken. this is what love has taught you: you are unworthy of it. but you are not. i cannot emphasize enough how worthy of love you are.
you are being held back from love by your inability to define what you really want from it. it is an inability which leads you to direct your energy into too many places and which drains your energy, such as having a lot of “crushes” that go nowhere, going on dates that don't fulfil you, going on dating apps even when they exhaust you. you don't have a proper vision of love, which, for a lot of you, i see can be chalked down to simple lack of experience in relationships and love.
now to look at your readiness of your heart, mind and spirit. for your heart we have the magician, which is a clear message that your heart is ready for excitement, love, and experimentation with love. you are able to create opportunities, especially outside of your comfort zone, to meet someone with whom you'll be in a relationship, even if fleeting. as well as this, you are in an ample position to manifest the love you desire. this is what your heart wants, and it is okay to embrace that if it feels right for you.
as for your mind... you are so intent on reaching the goal of love you have in mind that your mind spurs you to act too forcefully. your mind must come to terms that it, and you, will not always have control in life. it is ready for life, yes, but it must recognise that love is in the hands of the divine.
while for your spirit, again i feel a lot of inexperience in this group, as well as a lot of pain. this pain can come either from past relationships or from never being considered for romantic relationships. your inexperience and pain is deep-set into your spirit and, as a result, entering a relationship will lead to a sense of possession, bordering on the unhealthy if you are not careful. your spirit is greedy for love and reassurance. it won't be ready unless you properly resolve the trauma of your past and let it go.
WHAT IF ... YOU PURSUED THE CONNECTION WITH YOUR CRUSH?
after the heartache and neglect you have been put through it will ease your heart to hear that a love worthy of you awaits.
temperance, the queen of pentacles and the ace of pentacles showing up signifies a prosperous relationship. in temperance we see that this love will be patient and understanding, even if it does come at the hands of a lot of effort. is that anything to worry about though, for isn't effort one of the greatest signs of love? one of the greatest signs of care? there is compassion in this relationship, more on the part of your partner as you will be faced with having to work on your own negative traits. are you selfish when situations call for selflessness? quick-to-anger when the situation calls for your understanding? rude when you should be patient, clingy when you should leave your partner with room to breathe? this relationship will provide you with a safe space within which to address and work on all of this.
in the queen and ace of pentacles we see that this relationship will take “hard work”, but not in the miserable sense, rather in the sense that these two people are so commited to making something beautiful last for a long time.
in this relationship, you will prosper as individuals and as a couple; flourishing in how much you want to see each other live their best lives possible.
i keep getting drawn to making comparisons between how a farmer tends to his farm or a gardener tends to his plants or a florist tends to his flowers. so this person may be in one of those professions or may be perfectly capable of looking after the gentle and fragile which–and no shame in this at all–you currently are. this person might have a very rough exterior which is scaring you away from making any move towards them, but they are honestly such a kind, gentle soul.

Re: wtf is going on with Gojo’s Six Eyes/A list of Gojo’s ridiculous powers
Tumblr media
Tbh I had to write this up because I too have trouble keeping up with this man’s massively over-powered abilities lol. Y’all also I’m lowkey shook how many of you haven’t watched jjk and only know the shitposting dumpster fire that is Ru-kun 🤣 amazing
Tumblr media
Six Eyes: Okay so in JJK the Six Eyes can see cursed energy in, like, super granular detail, up to great distances, and Gojo can tell a lot about a person from that alone. It’s also the reason he has like, infinite cursed energy, because it can use all the info to regulate his cursed energy to maximum efficiency so his output is almost zero. He’s also impossible to sneak up on (by everyone but Toji lol) because of it, and has some kind of eidetic visual memory? I imagine he just has an eidetic memory to begin with though haha. I honestly just kinda assume it’s like the Byakugan without the weird seeing right through people. In the BNHA verse this basically just means he can ‘see’ people’s quirks all around him, in a radius thats probably like 25m at rest (like has his blindfold on and isn’t actively using it) and up to 1km (.5 miles) in like ‘battle mode’, he’s paying attention doesn’t have a blindfold on etc, and like 5k+ in the ‘oh shit I’ve lost my kid’ panic mode. So from like an AoE standpoint it’s okay, BNHA has heroes with quirks that have a better radius than that, but the level of detail it has is pretty god-tier, like if he’s in a crowd of hundreds of people he can still pinpoint every single quirk and what it is.
In this universe the Six Eyes can see Plus Alpha Energy, aka Quirk Energy. Gojo can see what a person’s quirk is and more or less how it works. As of the most recent JJK chapters, it was also revealed that the Six Eyes can see souls or something like it? It’s also unclear how much they see beyond just ‘energy’ as Gojo regularly walks around with a blindfold on and doesn’t bump into shit, and inanimate objects don’t have Cursed Energy in JJK canon, so idk how he does that if the Six Eyes only see Cursed Energy.
They also tire him out to some extent, and can’t be ‘turned off’ like the Sharingan/Byakugan, which is why he normally covers them with a blindfold, sunglasses, or bandages as he did for whatever reason in JJK 0. I headcanon that it’s not debilitating for him to go a long time with them uncovered by any stretch, but it does exhaust him. And since he doesn’t like using his Reverse-Cursed Technique without reason, he’d rather just keep them covered.
It’s also never stated why tf they’re called the Six Eyes. Why Six??? Whatever there’s a lot that is unexplained in JJK we just gotta roll with it.
THEY ARE ALSO BEAUTIFUL??? What a vibe Akutami-sensei so glad we’re done with the whole creepy byakugan shit ✨
Tumblr media
Limitless Techniques (blue, red, hollow purple): They work the exact same as they do in JJK, manipulating space using the concept of infinity, etc etc. The only real difference is that people can see them in BNHA even if they don’t have cursed energy (I think in JJK technically non-shamans can’t see cursed energy at all?) For readers who haven’t watched JJK, Limitless acts on the atomic level and more or less works like gravity. There’s Blue, which attracts, and Red, which repels. Hollow Purple is when Gojo combines positive infinity and negative infinity and makes a spatial anomaly in a very epic and unsubtle way. We’ve only ever seen Gojo use it as a beam of pure destruction, so we don’t really know much about its actual limitations. Since it’s more or less voiding reality though, I imagine it’s unstoppable and there’s just no way to block it, you either get out of the way or don’t exist anymore lol. In my fic, it’s main limitation is that it’s on the slower time (long activation) isn’t very precise and can’t be stopped once he starts it.
Tumblr media
Infinity: Again, exact same as in JJK. Gojo’s mastery of it + his Six Eyes + his reverse-cursed energy technique means he never has to turn it off ever. He has an impenetrable forcefield around him that theoretically can be activated 24/7. Is it good for him to have it on that long? Probably not because he has to use his reverse-cursed technique to constantly ‘refresh’ his brain and I am of the opinion there is nothing more curative in life than good sleep lol. What does Infinity keep out? Literally everything. Every. Fucking. Thing. Rewatching JJK ep8 is insane this thing even stops sound waves. At any rate in this fic it again stops everything, even quirk energy (or rather, the plus alpha energy waves emitted by quirk energy)
Tumblr media
^ Gojo being op asf in EP 8 stopping Jogo’s attack and his soundwave-attack bug things
Infinity is also automatic. JJK S2 ends with Gojo perfecting Infinity to the point it works without conscious thought on his part, and literally filters ‘dangerous’ things out by calculating their speed/matter/velocity. He can reconfigure what can/can’t pass through his barrier basically instantaneously, and as of JJK S2 was figuring out how to go even further and filter out things at the atomic level,  like parsing out certain molecular structures that are poisonous. Infinity in a nutshell runs like a computer program, or more specifically an if/then statement, and Gojo can program it however he likes.
An explanation of how Infinity interacts with Quirks/what quirks work on Gojo vs. what quirks don’t can be found here
Domain Expansion (Infinite Void): Forgot to include this one on the first go around but adding it since he does use this technique in this fic at least once. Domain Expansion in JJK is the ‘pinnacle of Jujutsu Sorcerery’ and in essence it envelops the user and nearby people in a certain radius (not sure what it is exactly but I’m assuming you have to at least see the person to be able to drag them into your domain) into a ‘domain’ controlled by the user. It’s the most OP of all cursed techniques and Gojo isn’t the only sorcerer who can use it, although his is like the most lethal of everyone’s. His is called Infinite Void and its this existential crazy ass world where all the information of the entire universe floods his opponent and basically renders them inert because its too much information for any mortal brain to process.
Aaaaand the only way to combat it is to lay out an opposing domain, and since no one can do that in bnha it’s unbeatable lol. Gojo doesn’t use it often because it tires him out and it’s also just not useful unless he’s trying to render someone brain dead or other very specific occasions.
Tumblr media
Reverse-Cursed Technique: Using reverse-cursed energy to heal. Idk how this works it confuses me to this day, all I know is that it can heal crazy shit and Gojo used it on himself to bring himself back from the brink of death: spoiler alert, like knifed in the brain kind of ‘brink of death’. So even if someone ever manages to get past Infinity, they’d have to blow him up/cut off his head to have him stay dead lol. As of canon, he hasn’t ever used it on anyone else other than himself - apparently that’s harder to do than self-healing?
Quirk - Blue Flames: His actual ‘quirk’ that he was born with as Todoroki Touya are his flames, and he basically never uses them on their own in this story. This is the exact same quirk as the OG Dabi, it just doesn’t hurt him because he can use Infinity to create a barrier between himself and his own flames, since I don’t believe they’re ‘emitted’ from inside his body. While he may no longer injure himself using his flames, they still tire him out way more than his cursed techniques (where he has his Six Eyes to precisely ration how much he uses to a negligible amount) just like over-using a quirk would any other quirk-user.
Quirk + Cursed Energy - Cremation: This is a combo of using his quirk and his cursed techniques. He was already god level from his cursed energy, but cremation makes him like a double god or something 🤣 stupidly overpowered. Insta-death shit. He emits flames using his quirk, draws an imaginary barrier of ‘Infinity’ around a defined perimeter, and uses the pressure of his Limitless Blue (attraction) to condense the flames in that space into, like, supernova levels almost instantaneously. Like this is not fire anymore, this is legit plasma. Basically he’s using heat and pressure to cause nuclear fusion on the atomic level. It seemed very fitting, since his cursed techniques are all atomic based. It achieves the same end state as Hollow Purple using different methods.
Pros - it doesn’t leave a trail of destruction like Hollow Purple; Gojo can be very granular on what area is effected by the technique; its much faster than Hollow Purple, being almost instantaneous.
Cons - not as flashy (which would totally be a con for Gojo lol); leaves no trace behind; tires him out since it requires him to use his quirk, which is not refreshed by his reverse-cursed technique or regulated by his Six Eyes.
Teleportation: had to come back to add this one too lol. This is still pretty unexplained in JJK, so I’m making it up. Mine is based on 2 things - time and proximity. Time as in - the last time Gojo was at the point he wants to teleport to (an hour ago, yesterday, two weeks ago, etc.). Proximity as in - how close the two points he’s traveling to are. To me, Teleportation and Hollow Purple are his two cursed techniques that require the most energy, but teleportation’s energy expenditure depends on the two factors I mentioned above. Like Gojo warping him AND Hawks back to his hotel in Tokyo from Palawan? That would put a noticeable dip in his reserves, even with his Six Eyes. Because it’s a long-ish distance, because it had been at least a few days since he’d last been to his hotel, and the real kicker - because he was teleporting another person, which I imagine to be 100x more taxing than teleporting himself. But him teleporting around the forest in the training camp? That’s nothing to him because the distance was so close. (Although him teleporting Izuku and Kota back to the camp cost him more in energy than erasing Muscular from existence LOL) In my fic he doesn’t need to know the exact destination of where he’s teleporting if he has a ‘lock’ on someone’s quirk and knows their exact GPS coordinates - i.e., how he found Yui.
Also unrelated to gojo’s powers I bought the Mappa animation keyframe book for JJK and omggg look at it its stunning!! also Gojo 10/10 confirmed wears lipgloss 🤣 Mappa has it outlined and everything!!

Fourth Wing Book Review
Tumblr media
Fourth Wing Book Review by Rebecca Yarros
This book is incredibly popular. Unbelievably popular, actually. We’re talking about Colleen Hoover levels of popularity. On the one hand, I get it, I truly do. On the other hand, I think this book is beyond basic and shouldn’t be garnering the attention it currently is.
Yarros’ novel is set in a fantasy world with typical mythical names like Navarre and Tyrrendor where dragons and magic and a never-ending war exists. In terms of a fantasy world, nothing about Yarros’ universe is astonishing, interesting, or even remotely novel.
While this sounds incredibly harsh, it’s actually very smart from a marketing perspective and only adds to the book’s high demand because while it’s a fantasy world and therefore intriguing, nothing about it is very unique or complex—allowing new and old readers alike to delve in without stressing about the world and its intricacies. Instead, readers can focus almost exclusively on the action and romance, two things this book has in droves.
So while the fantasy setting allows for high stakes intensity, fighting, and dragons, dragons, and more dragons, nothing about it is complicated or even very important.
How does the magic system work? Some vague explanation of wards and that’s about it. Why is there a war? Don’t worry about it. Why was there a rebellion? You don’t need to know the intricacies of the whys and hows, only that the children of the traitors are alive and intermingling with the rest of the citizens, increasing tension.
However, as I mentioned above, while the setting is mundane it does allow Yarros to submerge her chapters in action and intrigue without much of a break. This is one of the main reasons why I think Fourth Wing is topping the bestseller’s list: it is constantly entertaining.
All of us have short attention spans these days, and Fourth Wing fills the gaping need to be consistently amused and engaged at all times, which Yarros delivers upon brilliantly. Every chapter contains some fight, life-or-death situation, a competition, someone trying to murder the main character, a break in, a break out, or a sex scene. That would account for 90% of all chapters in Fourth Wing.
That being said, it’s not necessarily a criticism. People obviously love the constant action and it keeps the book engaging and fluid. While I can recognize that Yarros is writing to fulfill a societal need and that constructing multiple chapters of action is genuinely difficult, it’s also not my favorite thing.
I have said time and time again that I’m a character driven reader. I would say the equation for Fourth Wing is 80% action and 20% character interaction. Personally, I would prefer a more equal distribution of action to character progression and growth, but I also recognize that’s a me problem.
In terms of Yarros’ characters, they are…meh. I think they’re extremely basic, but once again, I’m not surprised why people are foaming at the mouth for their story. The main character is Violet, nicknamed Violence, and she is the epitome of a perfect character. She’s extremely intelligent, generous, kind, brave, determined, stubborn, and sexy. You name it and she’s got it.
Her only “weakness” is literally that: she has a “weak” body. However, this weakness barely matters as she often overcomes it without any problem whatsoever. Yarros does have some descriptions of Violet wrapping her knee or being at a disadvantage physically during fights, but by the end of the book Violet is a certified badass who can take down anyone.
Violet’s “flaw”, if you can even call it that, doesn’t make her a more interesting character. It makes things infinitesimally more challenging for her and attracts some enemies, but she already has enemies because of her mother’s high status.
Other than this physical burden, Violet is literally perfect. There is nothing wrong with her, which makes her extremely boring and hard to relate to. I want complex human beings that have strengths and weaknesses, not unimaginable goddesses with brittle bones.
The only other character of importance, Xaden, is also the epitome of hot and flawless. He’s sexy, handsome, brooding, smart, and crazy talented. His only so-called detriment is that he can be a bit closed off and reticent, but that’s it.
He’s shouldering the lives of over a hundred orphans and can do no wrong. He’s also the hottest, the strongest physically, the most popular, and the most talented because of course he is.
Both Xaden and Violet also have two most powerful dragons that exist and their dragons are a mated pair, meaning that Violet and Xaden are inextricably tied together for life.
In addition to this, they have the rarest signets (magical powers) consisting of wielding shadows and controlling lightning, the likes which haven’t been seen in ages. Sigh.
I hate it so much. I’m so sick and tired of the trope of the main character being the strongest and most beautiful and then falling for the hottest and strongest guy who’s slightly cold, but actually the world’s best person.
The fact that they have the strongest dragons and the most powerful abilities also irks me. It’s not interesting. I predicted it from a mile away. Do something different, something better. But no, that’s not what we get in Fourth Wing.
You could argue that it was surprising that Violet bonds with two dragons, but think about it. Is it really? Also, I think Andarna plays no role other than to make Violet even more saint-like than she is. The other characters in Fourth Wing don’t matter. I make this statement often, but it could not ring more true for Fourth Wing.
Yarros throws so many characters at you and yet nothing about them sticks. Other than Xaden, and arguably Liam, Rhiannon, and Dain, no characters have any depth, nuance, or significance. In a book as large as Fourth Wing I find that hugely disappointing.
Even Liam, Rhiannon, and Dain are all one-dimensional characters at best. Some people tout that the relationship between Dain and Violet is interesting, but I don’t think it is at all. It is clear from the first chapter that Xaden is her game-end and Dain becomes increasingly aggravating and villainized as the book goes on.
Something else that Yarros does with her characters is make them very black-and-white. They’re either angels capable of doing no wrong or the most vehement villains to walk the planet. This opposition is incredibly boring and didn’t fuel my interest in any of the characters.
Fourth Wing’s plot, which I haven’t spoke much about yet, essentially follows the simple idea that Violet is meant to be a scribe, became a rider instead due to her mother’s negligent insistence, avoids being murdered while going to classes and participating in nonsensical competitions, and falls in love with Xaden Riorson.
That’s it. That’s the whole plot.
Multiple elements of the narrative also make no sense. For example, you're telling me that the youngest, most athletic, most talented people of your nation are being slaughtered for arbitrary reasons?
It makes zero sense. Riders are simply allowed to kill each other during fighting practice and during competitions. Think about that for one second in a logistical lens and realize how ludicrous that is as a nation.
The only reason Yarros puts it into her novel is because it's edgy and increases tension but it's genuinely really stupid.
There’s some heavy action at the end with Violet throwing lightning left and right after being betrayed. Except the betrayal can barely even be defined as such and is probably only happening because Yarros is trying to keep tension up. Maybe she thinks readers will get bored if Xaden and Violet are simply together and in love.
I’ll never understand why authors do this. We want to see them together. Let me see them navigate a relationship and the pitfalls that come with that. I don’t need some bullshit reason for them not to be together when everyone knows they’ll eventually reconcile and get back together anyway. Urgh.
Fourth Wing has a lot of elements that I find banal and that bother me, but as I also stated, it was highly entertaining at all moments. For this reason, I didn’t hate Fourth Wing. It does sort of blow my mind that this is the book that is being swept off shelves and beginning a cultural phenomenon, because at its core, I think it’s generic in almost every way.
However, maybe that’s what people want. Perhaps people want a simple fantasy with hot enemies-to-lovers moments and overpowered characters.
The end.
I just want something better.
Recommendation: If you want a watered down version of Game of Thrones and have been craving some alluring enemies-to-lovers moments with constant dragon-centered action thrown in, then Fourth Wing is a gold mine.
If you want something better than a generic fantasy with perfect main characters, a stereotypical universe, and a cliched plotline then avoid Fourth Wing. Not everything popular is worth the hype.
Score: 6/10

You sigh out softly and laugh to yourself. Can you really deal with two friends getting together? You’ll be left as a third wheeler and that seriously doesn’t sound like it’ll be fun at all. The line seems to be moving a bit faster now that there is an even louder person in your party. He’s talking a lot, so it fills in the empty void when you don’t know what to say or how to join Kaede and Sukuna’s conversation. It doesn’t last too long since Satoru finally shuts up and lets them talk about what they think the jumpscares inside will be like. Well since you’re so curious about his friends and this is the very first you’re meeting, you suppose you could talk to him more. You nudge him gently to catch his attention and he turns almost instantly with the same bright smile. He kind of reminds you of Kazuya, only a hundred times more hyper.
“You’re the Adonis in your family, right?” you ask boldly, a sly smile growing on your lips. What you fail to realize is that Sukuna has suddenly stopped listening to Kaede and is now listening in on your conversation with his friend.
You seem to have caught Satoru off guard as he scratches the back of his neck and hums for a response, “well,” he laughs cheerfully, “that’s quite the compliment.” He takes another step forward with you, “I’m not sure how to respond, which is quite rare, since I always have the upper hand.”
Seeing as you’ve made him speechless, it makes you smile even more, “there’s no need to say anything, Satoru. It’s just a genuine compliment from me.”
“Still, I’m quite flattered,” his hand reaches over his heart, and he closes his eyes dramatically, playfully going along with whatever you’re saying. In truth, he was caught off guard and tongue-tied at your sudden bold statement, but he can read you easily. Do you even realize that you have a crush on Sukuna? If you don’t then he might as well gouge out his eyes and jump into a river. His intuition has never been wrong, ever. Anyway, it was just a simple compliment from you, it’s no different from all the other compliments he’s received from anyone else.
Again, you nudge him, “consider yourself lucky to have eyes like yours. I’d fall too deeply if I stared too long.”
“Oh?” Satoru chuckles connivingly. Perhaps you don’t realize it, but maybe you’re suddenly flirting to make Sukuna jealous? Whatever it is, he’ll go along for his own entertainment, “are you flirting with me or are you giving me an innocent compliment again?”
Shit, what the hell are you doing? This man is attractive too, but you don’t know why you’re even saying all of this. Maybe you’re upset that Sukuna and Kaede are flirting in front of you, so you’re flirting with Satoru to not feel so left out? Yeah, maybe that’s it. Whatever.
“A little bit of both, I’d say.”
Satoru grins and leans down to your level, speaking quietly so that Sukuna can no longer listen, if he wasn’t already, “and what would Sukuna say if he saw you doing this?” Sure, it looks like he’s really immersed in his conversation with Kaede, but Satoru just knows his friend’s ears are perked up.
You begin to whisper as well, “it’s not like he’d care.”
He giggles into your ear, making you squirm from the sensation. You still as soon as you rub your ear a few times and continue to listen. Satoru drags out a hum, “I’d beg to differ.”
Your eyebrows furrow and you turn to face Satoru head on, your faces merely inches away from each other, “what’s that supposed to mean?”
The person from behind gently taps your shoulder, “excuse me? Could you guys step up?”
You had been so distracted with Satoru that you completely forgot to step up in line, causing a huge gap to form. Satoru apologizes shortly and motions for you to go up with him, “let’s just get goin’ before he rages and yells at me for something I didn’t do.”
You walk up with him, “it’s happened?”
“More than he lets on, I guess.”
Your face falls flat, “again, what’s that supposed to mean?”
Satoru just shakes his head at you, “Nothin’. Come on, angel face.”
“Okay, Adonis.” you laugh, finally catching up with Sukuna and Kaede.
When you’re caught up, Kaede turns around and crosses her arms at you, “about time. You guys were so busy flirting back there that we were just gonna ditch you.”
“Why,” you grin, “scared?”
Kaede holds your hand again and shrugs, “no, but we thought the people in the line would get mad at you guys and try to kick you guys out.”
Just then, a scare actor runs towards the line and jumps at the people behind you guys, causing everyone to shriek and laugh. Sukuna is smiling down at you this time but he doesn’t say anything to you. He’s not talking to you like he did with Kaede. Instead, he turns to Satoru, “why are you here alone anyway? Did you come by yourself?”
Satoru clicks his tongue and shifts his weight from one leg to the other, “nope. I came here with some chick I’ve been talking to, but her boyfriend came and dragged her outta here. It wasn’t my problem, so I just texted you to see if you wanted to come in her absence and by fate, you were already here!”
You click your tongue at him, “you were talking to someone who was in a relationship?”
The white-haired friend just smirks and leans onto Sukuna, “don’t let your boyfriend and/or girlfriend stop you from finding true love.”
“Gosh,” Kaede sighs, shaking her head at the promiscuous man.
♡ ♡ ♡
Finally, the time has come. Your group is all the way at the front just waiting to be let in after the group in front of you. They let specifically a group of 4-6 in after about five minutes to let the previous group get a bitch further away, to avoid any collision. The fact that the horror house is two levels is kind of nerve wrecking but at least there’s a big green slide with a ball pit at the bottom that you come out of to relieve all the built-up stress. Whoever came up with the idea of the end escape being a slide needs a reward, you think. The employee greets you all and hands each of you a small paper with directions.
“Make sure to thoroughly explore the house and have fun. We ask that no one resorts to physical violence, as this is all part of an experience, so with that, welcome to the horror house.” She explains and finally lets your group in. Everyone is walking slowly and cautiously, watching for anything that seems off. The place is completely dark, aside from the blinking lights and some glowing arrows that let you know where to go. Sukuna has managed to get beside you, making sure that there’s no one creeping up on you while Satoru and Kaede walk behind you with the two other strangers. Okay, to be honest, you’re on high alert. Watching scary movies and actually being in this kind of situation are two completely different things. Your heart is pounding fast as the adrenaline of being surprised rushes through you. As you guys explore the first floor, there are only small jumpscares. They’re really random, but since it’s all sensors, it’s not too bad. The floors creek beneath every step and there is a faint crying coming from one of the rooms.
You each enter one by one, and you can feel Kaede clutch onto the back of your shirt, causing you to stiffen. Sukuna is still quiet, but his friend is being funnily loud. He’s purposefully screaming and making fake crying sounds as well to have fun and it really lightens the mood, since the couple in the back is laughing along with you guys. You guys all disperse in the room, just looking around and chatting when a hand from under the bed grabs Sukuna's ankle and he jumps before walking away. He makes his way towards you again but Kaede shrieks, grabbing everyone's attention. Coming out from under the bed is a woman dressed in white with long black hair and blood down her cheeks. She’s crawling at you guys’ petty fucking fast, so you let out a small scream and book it for the door, ditching everyone else. They all follow after you, a mixture of laughter decorating the air. Right at that moment, someone comes running at you guys in the dark and manages to grab one of the strangers.
“Ah! Help me!”
He screams desperately while Sukuna laughs and manages to help free him. By now, you guys hear the next group of people getting ready to be let in and another scare worker jumps out at you guys, which makes you panic and disperse. Satoru ended up screaming the loudest and ran up the stairs with the strangers while you, Kaede and Sukuna ran for the elevator. Whether the elevator is meant to stall or not, it’s creepy. The light from above flashes and you’re stuck to the side of the elevator wall, which sounded hollow when you bumped against it. You’re behind Sukuna, leaving the space behind Kaede empty and through the small flashes of light, you can see that Kaede is visibly shaking but she’s trying to laugh off her fear. You, on the other hand, prefer to keep your ego and act like you aren’t that scared. Just as the elevator shakes, you all hear crying from the elevator. It’s coming from behind you guys and again, it’s a woman. You’re a bit scared even though you know she’s just an actress, but it all disappears when you see that Sukuna suddenly reaches for Kaede’s hand.
“Don’t look at her,” he tells her, trying to reassure her that it’s okay and fake. Still, Kaede’s head tries to look back while a small cry comes out from her. She begins to let out soft, broken whimpers as she looks from the corners of her eyes.
Again, he speaks in a low voice, “don’t look at her, Kaede.”
By now, she’s straight up shaking and crying. You see Kaede’s head slowly turning around to look behind her, despite what Sukuna is saying.
“Don’t look!”
Sukuna’s hand rises and grips Kaede’s head. He pulls her into his chest to shield her from the actress in the back. Whoever is watching the security footage must think this scene is really romantic and they’re probably pitying you for being a third wheel in this. Your prayers have been heard because the elevator finally dings and you reach the second floor. All of this didn’t even last that long but it felt like forever. How funny is that? You watch them scurry out without you and you follow after. Just then, a cold hand grips your upper arm and yanks you towards them.
“Huh?!”
In your state of shock, you look up and see that it’s Satoru. That jerk! “Oh,” he beams, “thank god it’s the right person! I mean, even if it was Kaede it would’ve been fine, but my target was you!”
Your mouth falls agape but you laugh upon the realization that it’s him, “you scared me!”
“That was the point, y/n. We were waiting for you guys so we could continue, right?” Satoru asks behind him, directing his question to the two strangers. He must’ve become friends with them for now, seeing as they’re all talking informally. The couple agrees and he releases you while pointing ahead at Sukuna, who is busy patting Kaede’s shoulder, “why is she crying? Did you break her heart or something?”
“Oh, no. Kaede doesn’t do that good with horror,” you laugh, jogging to catch up with the rest. The second floor of the horror house had more scare impact and involved more actors. They did not hesitate to scream at you, chase you and even grab you. But the ending is fun. There are two employees waiting and asking if it was fun, then they give you each a stamp of success and send you down the slide one by one. All in all, it was a pretty fun experience, aside from feeling kind of left out here and there. You’re just glad that Sukuna’s friend kept you feeling involved.
(A/n: I know I didn’t describe the experience that scary, but let’s just pretend that it is super scary, okay? Okay lol.)
“I’m kind of hungry again,” Kaede sniffles, wiping at her tear-stained face.
You pout at her and help wipe the tears away with a small laugh, “you’re such a scaredy cat, Kaede~” You tease her lightheartedly, choosing to forget the way you felt inside. She was scared and Sukuna was just being a good friend and consoling her when you couldn’t. You’re glad that he was there to “protect” her or whatever, since you might’ve ditched her if you were alone with her.
“As if you aren’t. I saw you getting scared silently,” Sukuna snickers, pinching at your cheeks with a hard grip. It makes you wince, and you hurriedly swat his hands away from you, “stop pinching me! It hurts!”
The table you guys find is again, luckily big enough for you all. Satoru sits next to Sukuna, “what happened in the elevator anyway? I took the stairs and almost pissed myself.”
Sukuna’s lips jut out as he fumbles with a straw wrapper the previous people had left behind, “I guess the point in entering the elevator was for a predictable scare. You know it’s coming but I guess it’s still unnerving. Someone was in there with us, but I don’t know when they entered.”
You think back to the hollow walls and clap your hands, “the walls were hollow so there must’ve been a crawl space for someone to hide and then when everyone is distracted, they come out quietly and boom, she’s in and crying.”
Satoru coos towards Kaede and chuckles in a high-pitched tone, “that’s what got you crying? Poor girl.”
“Don’t talk about it.”
Kaede begins to hide behind her hands at the embarrassment, but it only makes them tease her more. Your eyes linger on Satoru, and you giggle, “what happened with the two strangers?”
He blows a few raspberries and acts shy, like Kaede, “well they had someone hiding somewhere too and they chased our asses up the stairs at inhuman speed.” His eyes widen and he grabs Sukuna’s forearm, “they must’ve trained hard and hired the fastest crawler! I don’t even know how many times they grabbed my ankle alone.”
“I should’ve taken the stairs,” you let out, your tone sounding a tiny bit… petty. Sukuna isn’t even looking at you. He’s more focused on whatever Satoru is doing (he’s acting cute… in a cringy way, on purpose).
There’s a grin on your lips as you look around. The lines for food seem pretty long, so you speak, “two of us should order. Is everyone okay with the same thing?”
“I don’t mind,” Kaede comments.
“Me either.”
“Okay, I’ll go order. You guys make sure no one else tries to sit here.” You stand up and Satoru does too, “I’ll come along.”
“No, I will,” Sukuna grunts, standing as well. You look at both men with a straight face, “so who will it be?”
Satoru pouts, “I can’t let you pay for all of it. I’ll come with you and it’ll be my treat.”
“I’ll go with her, Satoru. Just watch our shit.”
“But–”
“If you want to pay so badly then give me your card,” Sukuna smirks, holding his hand out.
Satoru just smiles along and hands him the card in a defeated way, waving a small ‘bye’ to you before sitting down again and talking to Kaede. You’re already walking since you don’t want the line to form even longer.
“Yo.”
“Yo,” you respond, waiting for him to catch up.
Sukuna waits behind you in line, hovering right above you. You’re not surprised when he lays his chin on the top of your head while his hands stay stuffed in his pockets, “can I ask you something?”
You nod, “go ahead.”
There he goes, being all silent again. What game is he playing this time? You both step up in sync and you’re about to break contact with him so you can hold a proper conversation, but he finally opens his mouth again.
“What’s up with you calling Satoru ‘Adonis’?”
It’s really just a name, no true meaning to it. Still, you grin, “jealous or something?”
“A bit,” he admits. You’re caught off guard. He’s jealous? Ryomen Sukuna? Jealous? There’s just no way. What would he even be jealous about?
“What?” You can hear your own voice and the surprise that’s laced in it. Upon feeling the pace of your heart speed up, you try to focus on your surroundings as a distraction. You listen in on the loud chatter from all directions, you smell all the tempting scents that engulf the area, and your eyes focus on the many bright lights that flash with life. The heat of Sukuna’s body keeps you on your toes as well, since he’s been so out of character as of lately.
Sukuna’s chin still lays on top of your head and he steps even closer, pressing his chest into your back, “I am jealous.”
“Why would you be?”
Is it normal for friends to be jealous? Surely to some extent, right? But what would you know? This is the first time it’s happened, for the both of you, maybe. Sukuna exhales slowly from his mouth, “just am.”
You’re a bit shocked at his honestly, to say the least, but at least he feels comfortable enough to let you know these things. Your smile grows mischievous, and you spin around to face him, breaking his current skin contact with you, “okay, then I’ll call you Ares.”
“Change his.”
Sukuna’s tone falls dead and the look in his eyes is something you can’t really decipher. Why does he look like that? Are you tripping or does he look a bit hurt? Whatever it is, it makes you want to tease him more, so you do. You chuckle, “he can be Apollo.”
Sukuna’s jaw hangs, “you can’t be serious. He still has a name with good meaning.”
“Then he can stick with Adonis. It just means he’s a pretty man, Sukuna.”
He looks away from you, choosing to look elsewhere, “whatever. I don’t care anymore.”
Score. Just the reaction you were looking for. It makes you push into his chest with your index finger, “someone’s jealous.”
“I’m not,” he spits out.
“Yes, you are.”
“Are not.”
“Are too.”
Sukuna glares at you with irritation growing in his eyes, “shut up.”
It only makes you want to keep going, so you hold your nose up high and mighty, “and if I don’t want to?”
By now, you’re not fazed at the fact that he lowers his face down. It’s happened so much that you know not to get surprised. Sukuna’s eyes squint as he stares into yours and he keeps a heavy frown on his lips as he speaks to you, “then I’ll simply give you a reason to shut up.”
This specific threat has you nervous. Is he implying that he’d kiss you? No way, he wouldn’t. You scoff in his face with a frown as well, “you wouldn’t dare.”
Just like that, a smirk grows on his lips and he lowers himself even more, all while keeping eye contact, “dare me.”
Okay okay, he wins. You groan and back away with defeat, “no way.”
Sukuna is back to being a smug little asshole and drapes his heavy ass arm around your shoulders, “that’s what I thought.”
The rest of the night is filled with continuous laughter, but your eyes can’t seem to leave Sukuna while your hand clutches onto your phone. You’re filled with horrid guilt and it’s gnawing at your heart every time you think of Kazuya. Satoru’s been talking to you an awful lot though, mainly to fill in the long spaces of silence you trail. He actually talks a lot, like that one annoying kid that just won’t shut up. He is tolerable, however. Perhaps it’s because he’s hilarious that it’s not too bad. Sukuna only talks to you here and there, just like before, but after the tension from before, you’re unsure of what to say.
♡ ♡ ♡
Another month has passed and you haven’t been keeping count on how long you’ve known Sukuna now. He’s part of your daily routine, but so is Kazuya. You feel bad for the man, since you know he’s openly pining for you, but you just can’t seem to feel the same way. He’s sweet, so sweet, but he feels more like a friend. Every time you’ve brought it up, he’d always say that he was patient and was willing to take things however slow you wanted. So, bad life decisions start with bad influences, right? If you were being completely honest, you think Sukuna isn’t enough to confirm your curiosity. He’s one of the main things in your life at the moment, so testing this theory out with him just wouldn’t work. You have to try it out with someone else, to see if you feel the same way you do with them as you do around Sukuna. It all doesn’t make that much sense, right? You know. But it’s something you’re willing to try. You had asked Sukuna to take you to a party or something, since he claims he has other friends. You weren’t sure when you were going to get a response, since he ignored you. You even mentioned going to the club together so you could start your little mission (Sukuna has no idea what your theory is, in fact, he has no idea what’s going on in that bizarre head of yours).
“Y/n?”
Your mother’s voice comes from down the hall, so you peek out of your room and look at her with wide eyes, “yes?” She’s got on her fancy little dress and an extravagant coat, the one your dad got her last year, and marches towards you with a bright smile, “you remember what today is, right?”
“How could I forget,” you sigh, “go have fun on your anniversary. Please use safety.”
She laughs joyously, “why? Don’t you want a little sibling?”
The gag you release is over the top and exaggerated but it only ends with the both of you sharing a laugh. Still, the thought of your parents fucking like rabbits is not something you want to imagine. Your fingers find place in her curls and you’re helping her fix them in place before she leaves, “I’m watching all of Ayumi’s kids tonight, right?”
“Oh, no,” she giggles a bit and waltzes into your room to take another look in the mirror, “you’re only watching her youngest today. That cousin of yours,” her lips pop as she reapplies her lipstick, “always popping out kids left and right.”
You stare at the back of her figure with a crooked grin, “she only has three kids, mom. I’m thrilled to be an aunt, at least.”
“Yeah well, don’t wait up for us. Your father has plans so we might not make it back home. Ayumi said she’d drop her kids off in a bit, so until then, sit still and don’t try going anywhere.”
You follow her out to the door and give your dad a side hug in the meantime, “don’t worry about me. Just don’t have too much fun, alright?”
Your dad bursts out laughing and ruffles your hair, “don’t feel threatened, sweetheart. You’ll still be my favorite.”
“The age gap between us will be crazy,” you sulk, knowing that they’re only playing.
After a small time of bickering, they finally leave and it’s not long before Ayumi pulls up. Her hair is chopped over her shoulders and she has big bright eyes, even after birthing three children. She hurries over to you with Hotaru in her arms, “y/n! I’ve missed you.”
You hug her back and immediately take Hotaru from her, “where are your other two boys?”
Ayumi welcomes herself in and places a duffel filled with baby items onto the couch, “sorry for coming to drop him off last minute. I know that you’re busy and all too but, Asa and I wanted to take our boys to Disneyland, and it would be a bit of a hassle to bring Hotaru since he’s only one and a half. His brothers are really naughty and run off a lot.”
Her explanation certainly earns your pity. It must be tough being a mom and all. After a bit of catching up, she tells you all of the basics and that he’s not fussy so today should fly by in an instant, though you know it’s not anything she can promise. You take a good look at Hotaru and see that he has big doe eyes, soft puffy cheeks and a cute bowl cut hairstyle. He’s pretty cute, if you say so yourself. It’s also a good thing that he doesn’t particularly seem picky with whoever is holding him either.
“Hotaru can babble here and there and converse with you just a tiny bit so it shouldn’t be too hard to read him when he needs something,” she looks at the time of her phone and then back at you, “he’s also learning how to walk, so he can stumble about for a bit before his legs grow tired. He’s a pretty fast learner so just watch him because he likes to wander when he gets comfortable around you. Other than that, he’s an easy kid to watch. I can’t thank you enough, y/n.”
You jump a bit to readjust Hotaru on your hips and shake your head with a soft smile, “I really don’t mind at all. If you ever need me to watch Hotaru or the other two, just let me know beforehand. Go have fun, I bet they’re all waiting for you in the car.”
Ayumi reaches over and coos at him for a few more seconds before kissing his cheek and eventually leaving. You both wave bye to the car and then you turn back around to enter the house. You place Hotaru down on the couch and tap your foot against the floor as you look for something to put on for him. The first hour seems to go by just fine. All you did was feed him and watch tv with him.
Sukuna ^.^: I’m bored.
Halfie: Go play then.
Sukuna ^.^: I’m on my way.
Halfie: I’m busy today. Go play with Kaede.
Sukuna ^.^: I already did. She had to leave early.
That annoys you. It bothers you a lot. Now you feel a sudden prick in the back of your neck and you know that it’s just unreasonable irritation spiking. You look down at Hotaru, who is staring right back at you. He’s not that expressive… but at least he’s not crying?
Halfie: You can’t come.
Now you’re even more annoyed. Why? Because that fucker left you on read. Out of boredom, you grab Hotaru’s baby duffel and dig through it. There are lots of diapers, toys and packaged food and flavored rice puff snacks. You gently poke at Hotaru’s chubby stomach, “aye, can you eat solids already? I don’t see formula here.” All he does is smile and nod. You have to admit that the atmosphere is a bit awkward due to the fact that you two have no prior interaction at all. Are you doing well for the first meeting? He’s a baby, so it shouldn’t matter, right? You continue to watch whatever is on the screen and it’s quiet for a long while until you hear your phone buzz.
Sukuna ^.^: I’m here.
Sukuna ^.^: Open your window for me.
You take a moment to look at Hotaru once more. His hands are focused on playing with a toy while his eyes remain on the tv, so leaving him alone for a short second wouldn’t hurt. He won’t even know what’s going on. With that in mind, you stand from the couch and dash to your room. Your eyes glare daggers at Sukuna through the window as he waits to be let in.
“Hurry,” he mouths.
You’re only quick to let him in because you have a child in need in the other room. You can see that he’s surprised by your obedience though. He crawls in quickly and shuts the window, “your door is open you know? What if your folks see me?”
“I said I was busy, yet you still decided to come. How ignorant,” you spit out, crossing your arms at him. Sukuna’s frown drags deeper at your comment, “what’s up your ass today?”
You move out of his way, “nothing. My parents aren’t home, but please behave.”
His eyes grow mischievous at that, “really? As in, I’m free to walk around?”
“Yes, but my hands are tied, so behave.”
“What do you mean?”
“I’m watching my nephew today,” you’re already leaving your room with him trailing behind, “so you won’t have fun today.”
Sukuna groans out loud, “he can take care of himself.”
He steps into your living room and his eyes fall on the couch and the small head of hair that peeks out. Him being naturally curious, he comes closer, and his fingers grab at the soft locks, “oh. He’s younger than I imagined.”
“Yes,” you laugh out loud and sit back down on the couch again, “which is exactly why you wasted your time coming here. There’ll be nothing for you to do.”
Sukuna wastes no time in stepping over the couch to seat himself between you and Hotaru, “well I guess I can help you watch the kid. I don’t know how to, but there’s always a first for everything, right?”
The way he smiles in a determined way has your heart pounding just a slight bit harder and you’re not sure how to decipher it. You don’t know whether you’re anxious about Sukuna or if you find his efforts endearing in some way. The two of you are pretty busy with Hotaru throughout the day but Sukuna seems to be having a bit of fun, even if he denies it. The reason why you say this is because he’s actually laughing with the kid as they play. Oh, and he’s also eating the rice puff snacks too. You think he ate more than Hotaru did but that’s not too big of a deal, you think. Ayumi didn’t mention that it’d be hard to get the kid to fall asleep. You and Sukuna have been trying to wear him out for a while now, but the kid won’t get tired. When you think about it, Sukuna has probably been here for about seven hours, since it’s 6pm now. You fed Hotaru and Sukuna about two hours ago, so they should be fine for now which means you can relax a bit more. You really thought that Hotaru might be frightened by the man but he’s surprisingly a fan of him, given he’s laughing a lot right now as you make your way back to them.
“What’s so funny?”
Hotaru beams at you innocently and points to Sukuna. He’s currently crashing two toy buses and making dramatic sound effects. He even goes as far as making a high-pitched woman-like voice that screeches for help. The whole thing isn’t a laughing matter at all; it’s quite concerning. Still, you’re just glad that Sukuna is here. A long yawn comes out from your mouth as you silently stretch behind them. Since it seems like Sukuna is pretty reliable and comfortable being alone with Hotaru, you figure it can’t hurt to lay down for a bit.
“I’ll be right back,” you say as you get up. Sukuna doesn’t even glance back at you, since he’s so busy acting out a crime scene with your laughing nephew. All he does is hum a short “mhm” then proceeds with his stupid little skit. Oh well. Your back finds solace in your soft bed and you only meant to close your eyes for a few seconds. Well, a few seconds happened to turn into half an hour.
In Sukuna’s mind, he’s wondering where the fuck you went. Why did you leave him alone with the kid? Don’t tell him you went out and ditched him here. He did not come here to babysit. In fact, he came here for you, not the kid! His impatient eyes scan the area once more and he pouts when you’re nowhere in sight. The only noise is the sound emitting from whatever show is playing on the tv. His attention is brought back when he sees Hotaru’s face scrunching up. As cute as the kid looks, he doesn’t like where this is going.
“What’s wrong, kid?”
“Bubu…”
The stench is faint, but he asks the question anyways, “what’s with that stench?”
Hotaru’s doe eyes blink not once but twice as he replies, “bu…”
“Did you just?!” Sukuna’s eyes widen with disbelief as he realizes the situation. He looks around for you once more and then furrows his eyebrows, “change your diapers?? Did you poop?!”
“Poop,” Hotaru confirms with a string of laughter. It’s cut short as he scrunches his face again, a sign that he’s still in the middle of shitting.
Sukuna immediately leans back, his back hitting the couch as he does so, “I don’t know how to change a diaper! Y/n!” Sukuna grumbles a few profanities as his hands reach under Hotaru’s armpits. He picks the kid up and carries him while walking back and forth, “y/n? Your nephew, uh… he pooped.” There’s still no response, so Sukuna sighs once more, “y/n? Where are you?”
His feet begin to move and the first place he looks for is obviously your bedroom. He peeks in and feels irritation rising, “fuck…” Sukuna walks over to you and peers at you, “you’re asleep? Seriously?” He lays Hotaru down on the bed and crosses his arms as he begins to talk to him, “should I wake her or not?” Obviously, he doesn’t expect Hotaru to respond, so he looks at you again, an unwanted smile stretching on his face, “she looks peaceful though and seemed tired before…” He’s groaning a lot today, but he manages to push your hair out of your face and throw the blanket over you, “fucking shit.”
“Come on, fat boy. Let’s get you changed out of that stupid ass diaper,” Sukuna picks Hotaru up and earns himself a smack from said fat boy. Apparently, he doesn’t like the nickname. Sukuna walks out of your room, “goodnight, y/n. Sweet dreams.”
Sukuna is back in the living room and digs through the duffel. He finds a small, soft rolled up mat and lays it out on the floor. He gently lays Hotaru down on it and pulls his pants off with a heavy frown. Sukuna really has no fucking clue on what to do so he whips out his phone, “let’s see… youtube.” He watches a short three-minute tutorial and chuckles to himself while his fingers tickle at Hotaru’s belly to keep him entertained.
“Oh, that simple huh?”
Sukuna puts his phone down and begins to copy what the parenting video had shown him. He made sure to be very diligent as he worked.
“Okay, all done!”
He gives Hotaru a small pat to his butt and puts his pants back on him, “feel better, brat?” Hotaru nods willingly and yawns in his arms, probably because Sukuna provides natural body heat so it might be making him sleepy. Sukuna stands up and tosses the diaper in the trash, “let’s feed you something warm and then let’s go take a nap with your unreliable auntie, ‘cause I’m beat too.”
He carried Hotaru all while warming up the dashi on the stove and microwaving the small onigiri his mom had brought in a tupperware. He set aside a bowl of dashi and rice for himself as well while he waited for Hotaru’s food to cool down. Feeding the kid was pretty easy, since he already knew how to feed himself. All Sukuna had to do was observe him and blow on the soup a bit more to ensure he wouldn’t burn his tongue. Once they finished, he put the dishes in the sink and laughed maniacally, “y/n can do the dishes, since she left me alone to watch you. What kind of aunt is she, leaving you unattended with a stranger like me.”
Sukuna closed the bedroom door behind him with his foot and placed Hotaru near you, “don’t mind me. I’m just squeezing us in.”
You stir in your sleep, “hmm? I’m sleepy.”
Your eyes are still closed as your head points in the direction he’s in. Sukuna is currently hovering above you as he tries to tuck Hotaru in, “I know. Scoot over so we can nap too. I finally got the kid to fall asleep.” This catches your attention, so one eye opens to look at him, “really? How?”
Sukuna stifles a laugh, “I hit him in the head as hard as I could.”
You jump up in bed with big eyes, “did you really?! Let me see–”
“Shh!”
His hand clamps over your mouth and he ushers with his head to your side, “I’m kidding, jeez. I fed him some of the food from earlier and he knocked out as soon as we were done,” Sukuna pokes at your ribs harshly, “so move over so he and I can both rest too.”
“Just place him between us so he won’t roll off the bed. Go to sleep on the other side,” you readjust yourself to go back to sleep, but Sukuna clicks his tongue, “nope, I want to sleep beside you. The brat can beat it.”
You sit up once more and roll your eyes, “Sukuna, quit being a brat. He’s still a baby, so he needs to sleep caged in, in case he rolls around in his sleep.”
There are practically lightbulbs flashing above Sukuna’s head as his eyes glow, “I have an idea.”
“That is?”
“Go get your parents’ pillows and lay it at the edge of the bed so that he can’t roll off.”
It’s crazy how serious he sounds about this. Your face falls flat, “you’re that adamant on sleeping beside me?”
“Yup.” He doesn’t even hesitate. In fact, he’s staring you dead in the eyes.
You sigh for the nth time, “okay fine, but you’re still gonna have to sleep all the way at the edge. Hotaru has to stay in the middle of the bed, kind of.”
Sukuna grins softly, “fine by me. I don’t move much anyway.”
It takes you less than five minutes to march up the stairs and back with the pillows. It takes you less than a minute to set up the pillow cage around Hotaru while Sukuna closes your bedroom door again. Once you think he’s cushioned in enough, you get back into bed and watch Sukuna as he comes over, “did you lock my door?”
“Sure did,” he yawns, “let’s sleep.”
Sukuna shoves his way in beside you and frowns when you don’t immediately snuggle up beside him, “hurry and come cuddle me.”
You laugh at his obviousness, “Sukuna, we are friends. There is no need to constantly cuddle. Besides, I gotta make sure Hotaru doesn’t roll off.”
“He’ll be fine!” Sukuna groans. The ball of his fist comes up to rub his eyes as he continues, “the brat is all warm and snug, see?”
Well, he does have a point. The kid is snoring so cutely and doesn’t seem bothered whatsoever. You turn your back towards Sukuna, “you can hold me, but I’ll be facing Hotaru, not you.”
Sukuna ponders for a few seconds before giving up, “okay, you win.”
His big arms snake over your waist and he doesn’t waste a second to yank you back and pull you against his chest as his nose tickles the back of your head. Once he’s comfortable enough, he lets out a soft sigh against your neck and begins to doze off.
“Goodnight,” you whisper, darkness beginning to take over.
“Sweet dreams.”
♡ ♡ ♡
You’re the first one to wake up. It’s completely pitch black and when you remember that you’re babysitting, you immediately panic and try to sit up. A strong arm keeps you planted in position though, “stay still.”
Sukuna’s sleepy voice resonates through the darkness and you’re suddenly aware of how close his lips are to the back of your neck. You don’t bother to respond, but your arms reach under your pillow for your phone. It’s nine almost ten and there are no missed calls or messages from either of your parents. You did get a few texts from Ayumi and there are responses that you don’t remember sending. You figured Sukuna sent them while you guys were asleep.
Ayumi: How’s Hotaru? I hope he’s not giving you a hard time. Sorry that we’ve been gone for so long. My hubby can’t ever say no to the boys, so we’re here longer than expected. 8:23pm
Y/n: He’s fine. I got him to fall asleep. Take as long as you need, I’ve got it covered. 8:24pm
Ayumi: Thank you so much, y/n. I owe you! 8:24pm
Ayumi: Y/n~ Again, I’m sorry! I’m trying to persuade them to come home soon. I know that you’ve been with Hotaru for the whole day. You must be annoyed. 9:12pm
Y/n: Not at all. He’s eaten at least three times. 9:20pm
Y/n: Attachment: 1 image 9:25pm
Y/n: Still sleeping. Don’t worry. 9:25pm
Ayumi: You’re the best! I’ll let you know when we’re on our way. 9:25pm
The picture that he sent was of Hotaru sleeping with the pillow fort around him. It’s pretty adorable, you guess. Okay, it is adorable. You’re concerned with how Sukuna managed to get into your phone but that’s a problem for another day. You’re shocked that he didn’t try to mess around with Kazuya and text him something weird, but maybe he’s more mature than you let on? You wonder what else he was doing while you were asleep, so you click on your gallery. There are two of Hotaru sleeping and then there are a bunch of photos taken from above of you and Hotaru sleeping. It’s obvious that the photos are taken with flash from someone reaching over behind you, but they’re still cute regardless. The last three are taken of you three. Sukuna’s arm does look a bit awkward in the photos, but he managed to take such cute photos. And if you look closely enough, the corners of his lips are lightly turnt up. It’s cute.
“I couldn’t sleep with your phone going off,” Sukuna admits, his lips brushing your neck as he speaks. All he gets from you is a short “sorry.”
He removes his hands from you and gets off the bed to go turn the light on and he comes back looking for comfort. You take another second to look at Hotaru and see that he’s pretty peaceful before shuffling in the bed to face Sukuna. His chin is propped up on his fist as he stares down at you patiently.
“Sukuna.”
“Hmm? What do you need?”
A million things are running through your head, but Kaede is the main one. Earlier he said that he was already hanging out with her. Does he do this with her too? Is he just this close with anybody he meets? You inch a little closer to him, “I wanted to ask you a question.”
His eyes squinted a little, “you don’t need to tell me that.” Sukuna’s hand raises and he pushes your hair back to get it out of your tired face, “just say it.”
Your eyes flutter at the motion, “okay…”
“So what’s the question?”
Sukuna’s tone is lighthearted and playful, something he usually reserves. He only sounds like this when he’s really having a good time. You honestly have no idea why he would feel that way right now, but it means he’s in a good mood, so you shake off your nerves, “you know how you always come to my house at night and sleep with me?”
“Mhmm,” he hums, his tone still light and airy.
“Do you also hang out with Kaede like that?” You don’t mean to sound territorial over him, but it comes out just that way. You think you sound crazy, and you think Sukuna might think you’re crazy now. However, Sukuna just cocks his head as his eyes roll up to the corner to think, “maybe once. Why?”
Your heart feels heavy at his honesty. What the fuck is maybe once? Is it yes or no, dumbass. You clear your throat, “just asking. Do you sleep there too?”
“No,” this time Sukuna’s tone drops into that of something serious. His eyebrows pull down as he tries to read your eyes, “why?”
“Again, I’m just asking.”
“Why do you look like that then?” Sukuna’s free hand comes up to grip your chin as he observes your expression. Is he tripping or did he see a spark of jealousy in your eyes? Is he crazy or do you sound jealous? His heart skips a beat at the thought that you might be, but then again, you’re a bitch and you’re so confusing at times. He doesn’t want to overthink anything so minor; but if he has to be honest, you seem to be displaying weird looks at times, whether it be at Kaede or him. Like, if he’s too invested in talking to Kaede while you all hang out or something, you get a little weird. Okay, maybe not weird, but you do get distant, which makes him distant, since he doesn’t know how to approach you when you get like that. Even if he tried, you’d just brush it off and smile that fake little smile. Don’t get him started on how you’ll act all weird around him and then suddenly rub Kazuha in his face. You guys aren’t dating, you aren’t sure if you even like him, yet you won’t throw the guy away and friendzone him. What exactly are you doing? Then you come up to him and ask him to take you out partying, like??? He thought you were talking to Kazuha, why do you suddenly want to go out partying? Are you going through a partying phase? Rebellious phase? He doesn’t fucking know. You’re weird at times.
“Like what?” you ask that in such an oblivious tone that it makes him feel fucking stupid.
His eyes flick between yours once more before he releases your chin and backs up from you, “... never mind. It’s nothing.”
Sukuna gets up from the bed again and begins to put his shoes on, “your folks might come back soon, so I’ll get going before I cause trouble.”
You nod reluctantly and walk him towards the gate in the front, “are you going to walk all the way home?”
He pulls his phone out and sends a quick text before shaking his head and smiling, “nah. I’m gonna go to a convenience store nearby and have my chauffeur pick me up.”
Sukuna waits for you to unlock the gate and then ruffles your already messy hair as he walks out, “send me those photos of us with Hotaru.”
“You want them?”
The surprise in your voice is quite evident since it’s something you never thought Sukuna would want. The pictures are already something that you never thought Sukuna would take, yet here he is, doing just that. He spins around and shoots you a boyish smile, “yeah, I do.”
You get a text from Ayumi a little bit after and open the door to let her in. You were expecting her, but instead it was her husband, Asa. You greet him with a smile, “oh, long time no see!” He returns the expression and gives you a friendly hug, “I must’ve surprised you. Ayumi was going to come in, but she’s been running around with us all day. I felt bad, so I told her to relax.”
He steps inside respectfully and switches his outside shoes to house slippers as he follows you to the living room. You’re babbling about how it was all okay while you help him pack up the duffel. Asa laughs wholeheartedly, “it seems like you played with him a whole lot! The living room is littered with all the toys we packed him. Looks like an accident took place.”
“Right…” you laugh nervously. It did happen! Sukuna literally played out a car crash scene with lots of injuries. Asa zips up the duffle with a content smile, “thank you so much for taking such good care of Hotaru, y/n-san. We deeply appreciate your efforts.” He’s already halfway to doing a formal bow when you interrupt and laugh, “it’s fine, Asa-san! We are family, this shouldn’t even be something to thank me for. I’m happy as long as I was able to help. I hope you guys had a blast. I know that Hotaru is still too young to travel like that, so it was no problem at all.”
Frankly, you can’t take all the credit… since it was mainly Sukuna who watched and played with Hotaru. Asa waits outside your bedroom door as you go get Hotaru. You pick him up gently and bring him over to his dad, “we had fun here too, so don’t feel too bad. Have a safe trip back home.”
“Once again, thank you, y/n-san.”
You bid him farewell and wave eagerly at Ayumi through the car window. She returns the gesture, and you wait for their car to drive off before you close and lock the gates again. After hours of not receiving an update from your parents, your mom finally reached out and told you that they’d be spending the night at a luxurious hotel. Gross. You send her back a funny, yet snarky response about being responsible and all she sends back are eyeball emojis. You shower off the day and get ready for another round of sleep, but as you’re lying in bed, your phone buzzes.
Sukuna ^.^: Um hello? The photos. 11:43pm

Fawn Fest - interceptions
Tumblr media
Prompt: Hi!!! How are you?? I would like to request a prompt from the Fawn Fest list. I would love a football-themed Elriel fanfic. I really hope you agree to write it!! ☺ for @bookstaninthesoul
Word Count: 2.3k
Warnings: none! Just a bit of fluff :)
“There is no easy way to say this,” Cassian said gruffly, his dark hair clinging to his sweaty skin. He had one arm heavy over Elain’s shoulder and the other over Rhys as all three huddled together. “But we’re losing.”
“How is that hard to say when you have to say it every year?” Rhys grumbled as he leaned closer to them — His black hair pushed back off of his face, and his violet eyes constantly glancing towards Feyre, who was in her own huddle with Azriel and Nesta.
Elain felt slightly dwarfed by Cassian and Rhys, who were bending at the waist to get to her level, and she bit her lip to keep herself from smiling.
It was very obvious why they lost almost every single year.
Cassian, shirtless as usual, was constantly peacocking for Nesta — and Nesta would intentionally distract him and use Cassian’s attraction to her advantage, which was very effective. And Rhys, well, Rhys used every excuse to touch Feyre. Ever since they had gotten together Feyre and Rhys were the most affectionate couple that Elain had ever seen. So affectionate that they would both forget that they were in the middle of a game and Elain would look down field and catch them locking lips as Azriel grabbed the ball from Rhys.
Elain wasn’t completely sure if Feyre was getting lost in her boyfriend, or if she was also using his adoration to her advantage. Either way, Elain was happy for Feyre. Her sister had spun into a depression from her last boyfriend, Tamlin, and Rhysand was there to help her through it. For whatever reason, Rhys was the only one who was able to reach her.
And then there was the obvious reason as to why the other team was winning.
Azriel.
Elain wasn’t exactly sure how he did it, but she was certain he was responsible for their success. Yes, Nesta and Feyre were both physically fit and active, but he was the one coming up with all of their trick plays, his eyes were constantly watching their team to discover any weaknesses, and he was the one who stood there quietly while Nesta and Feyre would be gloating at the end of their game — Even though Azriel was always quiet, she could feel the pride radiating off of him after a win, somehow his smirk was louder than both Feyre and Nesta combined.
Cassian played every sport known to man, and every year he grew more frustrated when the other team would win their family's football tournament. Yes, their team could crank out a few wins every year, but it was always Azriel’s team that won the tournament.
“Maybe,” Elain said, drawing the attention from both Cassian and Rhys. “You can throw it to me, since they won’t be expecting it?”
Elain didn’t really care about winning, but it was obvious that Cassian and Rys both did. She enjoyed playing it, and watching the game on tv, but she was mostly here to spend time with her friends and family. She wasn’t super active or coordinated, so Cass and Rhys mostly used her to get in Azriel’s way and slow him down.
They knew she was his weakness. Even though Elain didn’t quite understand it.
Azriel had no qualms about tackling Cassian and Rhys, and all three boys would be beaten up and achy by the end of the game, and even Feyre and Nesta would be sore from Rhys and Cassian’s attention, but Azriel was always gentler with Elain. He would place his large hands on her shoulders or waist to move her out of the way, and if he had to tackle her it was in a way that almost always had him falling on the ground first and then swiftly rolling her off of him so they could both scurry away like nothing happened.
Feyre smiled when she saw it, and she would playfully nudge Elain in the ribs which caused Elain to roll her eyes. Her sister seemed to think it was because Azriel had a crush on her, and Elain would remind Feyre that Azriel was a gentleman, to which Feyre would say, “That’s not what I heard,” and then they would both blush and drop the conversation all together.
Cassian and Rhys both looked at her, and Elain smiled broadly at them.
“I promise I know how to catch a ball.” Elain said, which caused both them to grin.
Cassian nodded his head with a wide smile and said, “Alright, Lainy,” His big hand squeezed her shoulder as he said her name. “Will go long, right down to the end zone by the tree. And Rhys, you’re going to throw her the ball after pump faking it to me. Lainy, you go right down the center and I’ll go right.”
They all nodded in agreement.
“You losers ready?” Nesta shouted from her side of the field. Elain could see a bit of bike shorts peeking out from the sweatshirt Cassian took off and handed to her the second Nesta said she was cold. Her hair was loose and wild and somehow looked incredibly chic on her.
Feyre was standing next to Nesta, excitedly shifting her weight from side to side without lifting her feet. She was dressed in yoga pants and a cropped hoodie with her brown hair braided down her back.
She wondered how her sisters looked so good in athletic wear — not that Elain looked bad, per say, but the cropped t-shirt she was wearing stretched around her boobs in a way that Elain tried to ignore, and her yoga pants clung to all of her curves in a way that Elain quite liked except for when it came to her hip dips.
She envied her sisters just a bit for their lean limbs and long statures because they made the most casual outfits seem effortlessly cool and put together, whereas on Elain she either looked frumpy or overly sexed up.
Elain wished she looked frumpy today.
“Yeah, yeah,” Cassian said as he grinned wolfishly at Nesta. “Just line up.”
Cassian crouched with one hand one the football, prepared to snap it back to Rhys who was standing behind him.
Elain was more than aware of Azriel lining up in front of her, and she took great effort to keep her eyes averted.
Azriel had presence — even when he would just stand quietly with his arms crossed, Elain could feel him.
“Good luck.” Azriel said softly, and Elain’s eyes shot to his.
He was already looking at her, his hazel eyes intense as they both ignored the calls that were being shouted to their right.
Eventually, Elain snapped out of it and ran when she was supposed to. Right down the center and Cassian broke right, and Elain ran with her eyes focused on Rhysand, her hands prepped to catch the ball and cradle it to her chest. And they did, right after Rhysand faked to Cass, he sent the ball spiralling right into her hands. Her short legs put a small amount of distance between herself and Azriel…and then they put a greater amount of distance between them…and then she had crossed into the end zone while Azriel reached his fingers out to grab for her.
She could hear Cassian and Rhys hollering and celebrating from downfield, but she let the football slip from her fingers as she turned to face Azriel.
Hints of dimples appeared on his face as he congratulated her.
“You did that on purpose.” Elain said as she glared at Azriel, her arms crossed over her chest, and she ignored the way it made her breasts strain against her shirt. Azriel, ever the gentleman, ignored it as well.
“I don’t know what you mean.” He said, placing his hands on his trim hips.
A blush scorched her cheeks — He was really going to make her say it outloud. Cassian and Rhys were too far down field to hear their conversation, and they were too busy celebrating to care. Feyre and Nesta stood next to them rolling their eyes.
“You could have tackled me and you didn’t,” She said in a low, furious voice. “You let me have that touchdown,” Azriel’s face remained impassive, but something shifted between them. “And you never,” Elain bit her lip. “You always go easy on me…am I that bad?”
“Of course not,” Azriel said quickly, and Elain raised her eyebrow and he unintentionally confirmed what she had said. He sighed and ran a hand through his thick hair, the dark curls falling against his forehead as he looked at her. “Whatever you’re thinking, it’s not that.”
“And you know what I’m thinking?” Elain asked, her voice raising just a bit. She continued before Azriel had the chance to respond. “Your brothers don’t go easy on my sisters, so I don’t understand why you treat me with kid gloves… I know I’m not the best, but you don’t have to go easy on me.”
Her gaze was locked on the ground, onto the large pile of leaves that Cassian had raked up for them earlier in the week.
“Fine,” Azriel said in a low voice, and he leaned forward just a bit, forcing Elain to meet his eyes. “I won’t hold back anymore, Elain.” The way he said her name caused her to hear thunder.
Azriel walked away before she could respond, and Elain was left feeling breathless and slightly threatened as she bent to pick up the football.
It turned out Azriel had been holding back more than she had thought, or maybe he was just doing it to torment her, but now Azriel was always on her. His hands gripping her waist as he moved her out of the way, as if she was a ragdoll he had to move out of his way…and his grip, it was different. Before his hands dropped away before Elain could register his light touch, but now — now Azriel was using his hands to get her attention.
His hands were heavy and rough on her form, as if he was no longer afraid to touch her.
His hands lingered and gripped in a way that caused her blood to sing as it rushed through her, and Eain wondered if he even knew about her body’s reaction to his touch. She was sure the soft gasps that escaped her whenever he touched her gave her away, but his face betrayed nothing.
And now he tackled her.
Not the way he tackled her before, when he ensured that his body cushioned hers as they fell, and when he would untangle them as soon as they landed. Now, Elain landed on her back with Azriel’s body on top of hers, pressing her body into the cold ground.
And even though the ground was solid and cold beneath her and the air chilly around them, Elain felt unbearably hot every time they fell together.
And he didn’t jump away as soon as they landed, no, he made sure that Elain felt him. Felt the hard planes of his muscles, felt his breath on her sweat dampened skin, and felt the weight of his knowing eyes. And once he finally pushed away from her to stand again, Azriel would extend an outstretched hand to her as an offering, and Elain felt how perfectly her small hand fit in his rough palms.
He was on her. Constantly. So much so that everyone else started to notice.
Her sisters started shooting her knowing smirks, and Rhysand gave Azriel a warning look — one that had more meaning than Elain could decipher — and Cassian’s mood turned a little sour, and Elain didn’t know exactly why…it could be because Azriel’s newfound attention made it even harder for them to score, but every time Azriel had Elain on her back beneath him Cassian grew a little more bitter and a little more impatient.
“Do you guys have any ideas?” Cassian grumbled the next time they formed a huddle. This one was more tense than the others, Cassian’s heavy arm wasn’t over her shoulder, and Rhysand wasn’t even bothering to hide the love struck looks he was shooting towards Feyre.
Elain chewed on her lip thoughtfully before raising her eyes to Cassian’s sullen face.
“I have any idea…”
Elain faced Azriel, her eyes trained on his face as Nesta prepared to hike the ball to Feyre.
As soon as the snap happened Elain launched herself at Azriel. Her legs wrapped around his waist and her arms went to his neck, and it was really a leap of faith because she had no guarantee that he would catch her, but Elain decided somethings were worth the risk.
Azriel didn’t even hesitate to catch her. Elain wasn’t even certain he thought about it, but he reacted. His hands landed underneath her bum, and while he took a step back to catch himself, he didn’t let them fall. And he didn’t drop her. Despite the hustle coming from their brothers and sisters, their attention didn’t move from one another.
Their breaths merged into a tiny cloud between them, and their eyes were a bridge of connection between them.
“I like this new strategy.” Azriel whispered, pressing them closer together which caused Elain to gasp.
“I thought it would surprise you,” Elain said, leaning forward to press her forehead against his… she had never really thought of Azriel in this way…as someone she would be touching, as someone she would let touch her. “Did it work?”
Elain could hear his breath catching in his throat.
She has always thought that Azriel was exceptionally handsome, the kind of handsome that was almost painful because it didn’t seem real, the kind of handsome she would see in movies and magazines — and Elain had always quietly admired him like she would a piece of art.
“In the best way.” Azriel said, his golden eyes dropping to her lips.
Elain was vaguely aware of cheers coming from down the yard, and she thought that her sisters had scored the winning touchdown, but the only thing she knew was how perfect she felt in Azriel’s arms.

What if...? Duskwood Chapter 9
Chapter 8 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*Macie POV*
I had woken up happy compared to yesterday. Talking to Mister Hacker had made me very happy. I hope it doesn't take long to get Poke's number so I can go see him or that I find a new lead.
Again, it was another document. I read it, it seems a little more detailed. This will surely work for the hacker.
I worked with a smile on my face, knowing that it drew Lian's attention and her sense of romance. She used to look at me suspiciously, like she wanted to guess what made me so happy. I used Aiden as an excuse every time we passed each other, just so she wouldn't think there was another man in my life. I don't want her to find out that Mister Hacker exists, not without him wanting to. If his anonymity was important, then I won't reveal who he is.
I had finally managed to talk to Richy and his attitude towards me was friendly. He was worried that Jessy wouldn't be obsessed with the legend, that she'd believe it was real, that she wouldn't make him believe it. He's a bit confused with me, even though I like legends, I'm not one to believe they're real. There is always an explanation behind each story and that is what I like. I began to flirt with him, to try to bring him to my trusted ground. In the end he ended up telling me that he liked him. Another one to the list of people who trusted me.
When Mister Hacker texted me to go, it didn't take me two seconds to get up from my chair minutes before break time. He had learned my schedules.
I think we're making progress on whatever we have.
I reach for the door but it doesn't open. I call thinking that perhaps he is not there and that is why he does not open the door. Or maybe I've finally managed to be sneaky.
When he opens it, he is without his sweatshirt again and seems to be in a better mood.    "Have I been sneaky today?" I ask hopefully.    "Not a bit." He chuckles and he lets me through. "But don't stop trying, one day you will reach my level."     My heart skips a beat when I hear him laugh. I put the food in the kitchen and take off my sweatshirt.    "How are you?" I ask, still worried about him.    "Better, thanks for asking" he leans on the desk while I put the sweatshirt on the chair "Is everything okay at work?"    "Perfectly," I replied, smiling at him. "Although I prefer the partner of my second job."     He laughs again, shaking his head.    "You truly are amazing." he relaxes and his chair slides away. "You found another note that belongs to Hannah?"    "Yes, I did." I sit up and look at him.     It's amazing that with each passing day I find him more attractive.    "Let me take a quick look at it." His green eyes of his go quickly over the lines, to then settle better in the seat. "This note is completely different from the first one."    "And I also know why" I sit better in the chair ", it's easier to understand. "    "Exactly." He rubs his chin, thinking. "The last note was mysterious, almost cryptic.” He turns one of the screens over to show me. "In the new note you found, Hannah seems to be writing about an experience."    "That could be useful!"    "It could be, indeed." I see his smile with a little victory. "This is a really important find.” I watch as he relaxes a bit and that smile turns sweet. "Great job."     My heart beats faster when he compliments me and I can't help but my temperature rises. I sure am blushing.    "Thank you."    "I would like to try something new with you." I stare at him confused, something new? "I want you to make some notes about the most important key points.” My phone rings and I see that Hannah's document has been updated. "I am going to mark those key points for you and add my own notes. An in the end we will be able to compare our notes with each other."    “Sounds like a great idea,” I tell him, curious to see his notes and what he thinks.    "I am happy you like it." He turns the screen towards him and he looks at me. "Are you ready?"    "I am."     He nods and I go directly to the document.
I finish pointing out what I think and Mister Hacker makes a sound in his throat surprised by my speed.    "Let me take a look at you notes.." he reads carefully and nods, surprised. "Mind-blowing. You literally have the same notes as me."     "Two peas in a pod." I commented with a laugh, hoping my subtle little joke would work.     I see that he doesn't react and I sink into the chair embarrassed.    "Let's sum up all of the clues." I try to look at him and see that he smiles. I sigh with relief. Maybe this is not the time to be a little daring, I'll wait a little longer "Hannah visited with this family."    "This family had a woman named Iris." I answered, looking carefully at the document so as not to distract me.    "Right. Good job!" His emotion from him infects me and I widen my smile "she was accompanied by a person unknown to us."    "His support meant a lot to her."    "Good!" I see him as he shifts in the chair. It's lovely to see that it's because we've got something important on our hands.” They were talking about something that Hannah already seemed to know everything about."    "She was hoping to find out new information."    "I agree." He shoots me a quick look and returns to the screen. "And the last clue: Hannah was feeling very guilty towards this family."    "You forgot one thing…" He arches an eyebrow and I lean back against the table, my hand under my chin. I put on my best smile, just for him "To tell me how good I did."     He sighs and smiles at me. This smile is only for me, not for Hannah. It's not the same smile he put on when he talked about her. There is no way back. I really like the hacker.    "You are doing exceptionally well." His voice sounds soft, it makes me feel a pleasant chill. "I apologize, if I don’t put you on a pedestal enough."     I smile back and we both look at each other for a while.
Then I remember that I have to return to earth. It's amazing how he manages to make me lose my mind over him.    “I think all of this has to do with her disappearence."    "I agree," he says after clearing his throat. "This might be a way to figure out Hannah’s exact steps in the days leading up to her disappearance." it's not just because of his attractiveness, but also because of his way of thinking. He is someone who for the job, he knows when to separate our formal and informal conversations. Is his way of talking the way of talking or how he likes to think and analyze. All that makes me attracted. I can’t anymore. I want to stop calling him Mister Hacker, I need to know his name. "Well, I think that was it fot now."I look at my phone. I still have time, I don't want to leave yet "Or is there anything else that we should talk about?"     I grip the phone tightly and swallow hard. It's time, it's now or never. I want to say it. I want to be honest with him.    "Tell me your name." I finally answered.     I see how his eyes widen so much that they seem to bulge out. He seems nervous? Or scared?    “My name?” he asks, a little tremor in his voice, “Why would you care about my name?"     I look at him a little shyly, fixing my hair. I try to calm down a bit before continuing.    "Because I like you." I finally admit, with a smile, "Please…" I blink as I look at him pleadingly, making my voice sweeter.     He stares at the table, muttering things. Or rather, I notice something different about him. He shakes a little. At the end he looks at me and it seems with determination.    “My name is Jake."     He takes my breath away hearing his name pronounced. 'Jake'. 'Jake'. His name is Jake. The man I'm in love with is called Jake. I can finally put a name to the face I dream of every night. I smile excitedly at him, extending my hand in greeting.    "Hello Jake." A happy laugh escapes me.     His eyes shine after saying his name. He extends his hand and accepts my greeting with a smile.    "Hi Macie."     I can feel the heat on his skin. Am I the same too? He has rough hands, with calluses on his fingers. I can feel them better now that he holds my hand with a longer duration. Comparing our hands, his is big compared to mine.
We separate our hands slowly, brushing our fingers. I breathe hard, thinking about what it would be like then for him to place his hands on my cheeks and kiss me. Jake… It's Jake who I want to kiss me. That is his name.    "I am getting careless Tat’s not good." I see him get up and go to the window, scratching the back of his neck. I can't hear what he mutters.     I start to worry.    "Doesn't it make you feel relieved?"     He remains still. Paralyzed. He turns and looks at me.    “It does, strangely enough,” he says with an awkward tone. ”at the same time it feels dangerous to open up you” I feel a little broken in my heart. Do he still doubt me? ”. There is way too much at stake for me.”     I get up walking towards him. Carefully, I brushed a finger over his hand lovingly. I sigh, with a smile. I don't want to feel this way. Not anymore.    "You can trust me." I tell him confidently.    "I want to trust you." I notice how he responds to my touch, intertwining his pinky with mine. I think it's the most intimate we've had so far.     Quickly, as if he's doing something wrong, he jerks his hand away, crossing his arms, his face flushed red.    "So now I’d like to find out more about you," he tries to become serious, but his voice gives him away with a little tremor. I avoid laughing at him but… It's adorable to see this attitude from him.    "Okay, like what?" I ask, still smiling and feeling much better after knowing his name.     He hesitates for a moment and takes a deep breath.    "Are you dating someone?"     The question surprises me a bit. I didn't expect it coming from him. And now the embarrassing Macie returns. I have never been asked this before. I'm nervous.    "No, I’m not." I reply. I need to know " You like me, don’t you?"    "I..."     I wait for his response as he looks away in embarrassment. Maybe I've gone a bit... Maybe it's too soon, right? Perhaps my confession has made him doubt. I can't help it, seeing him like this makes me laugh a little.    "I like getting you all worked up." I laughed, trying to defuse the situation.    "I've already noticed." He sighs and smiles. "It is not the first time that you like to play jokes on me."    He leans against the window and smiles at me sarcastically.    "Well, I'm not the one who's interested in knowing if I have a boyfriend," I answer, imitating him. "Is there any particular reason, Jake?" How good it feels to say his name, it makes me excited to say those four words.    "What do you mean?"    "Lately you've been watching Aiden and I, are you worried about that?"     He looks away and makes a gesture as if he wants to pull up his hood to cover his face. But he remembers from the embarrassed face of him making the gesture that he doesn't have it. he can't hide from me.    “I'm not worried about your relationship with Aiden at all” he says, frowning, but still not looking at me. ”, but I know you wouldn't date him. ”    "And why is that? Why do you think I wouldn't date him?"    "Because I-"     Jake looks at me with such intensity that I feel like I might pass out right here. It's like that time he noticed my lips. He is not capable of telling the truth, but will he know that I desires him too? Although he has been silent, he takes his hand daring to caress my hair, carefully. I take a deep breath, wishing he wouldn't just stroke my hair. I want to feel his skin with mine again.
It is then that the alarm sounds, giving me the notice that the time has already run out. Jake walks away from me, returning to the table, leaning against it. Dammit…    "I have to go," I say annoyed with my phone and the perfect moment for him to interrupt us. "I'm sorry that this time I can't stay to eat with you, maybe next time?" I take my things and put on my sweatshirt.    "Sure," he replies, looking at me calmer. "We have concentrated on the note that we have not had time" he seems annoyed too ". Talk to you later Macie."    "Talk to you later… Jake," I say his name almost carefully, waving before leaving the apartment.
Jake… His name is Jake… Goodbye Mister Hacker, hello Jake.    "I can't stop thinking about his name." I laugh as I walk down the stairs. "I love saying his name..." *Jake POV*
It has been strange to say my name again after a long time without saying it. But when Macie said it, that was the moment I wanted to cry when I heard it from someone else. And from a person I care about. I have seen how she has moved his mouth pronouncing 'Jake' and I could not feel more alive than before, returning to my old self. My identity.    "I want to hear her say my name again," I whispered, looking out the window watching her leave, "even though it was risky to tell her, I trust her."     One good thing is that she doesn't date anyone, but…    "What good is it for me to know that she doesn't go out with anyone if I can't go out with her?"     It was a stupid question, Jake... It's useless to have that information, what are you waiting for? Have a chance with her?    "That's never going to happen… I'm sorry if I've got your hopes up, Macie…"

Tumblr media
Most of the team leaves the apartment to canvas the area around the apartment complex, including you, where you see Gideon's energy fading quickly. However, because he was panicking, you can see the direction he went in, but it disappears after a hundred feet. You have no clue where he went, but that's what the team is trying to figure out. Hotch stays inside the apartment while the rest of the group is outside looking for clues.
"He went in that direction," you point, "but his energy fades quickly."
"Frank had to have come out the same way down this street. If they saw Gideon, they saw Frank," Derek says.
"Well, we know Frank will do whatever it takes to blend in and not stand out."
"To avoid attracting attention, he would have simply walked calmly out of that crime scene, though, he must have been soaked in Sarah's blood," you say.
"No, he had access to Gideon's closet," Emily disagrees. "He cleans up, gets a change of clothes, and he's out. Yet he left no trace of evidence at the crime scene."
Hotch leaves the apartment building and heads to the nearest trash can, producing a bloody trash bag with clothes in it.
"Gideon said he dumped it enroute."
"You spoke with Gideon? Where is he, Hotch?"
"He's safe."
"Well, that's all the proof we need, right? We can turn him over to the MPD now," Emily suggests.
"By the time this comes back from the lab, Frank's long gone."
"If the cops find out we're hiding evidence and a material witness from them--"
"We're not hiding evidence," Hotch cuts Derek off. "We'll give this to forensics and let them search for DNA. We'll look for Frank."
Just then, a little kid on a skateboard rides up to the group and looks at you and Derek as if he knows you two.
"Agent Morgan and Y/N?"
"What the hell?" Emily mutters.
"They say beauty can cover a multitude of sins, but underneath it all, we all look exactly the same."
"That's Frank," you panic and look at Derek. "He said that to us in the diner."
"Give me Jane or I'll kill them all."
"Frank thinks we have Jane?"
"We need to find her fast."
"Can I have my ten bucks now?" the kid asks.
You look around the area to see if you can spot Frank. He wouldn't want to miss this interaction, but because you can't sense him, it's impossible to know where he is at this moment.
"Gideon saw Jane just before Frank called him. If we find Jane, we'll find Frank," Hotch says, moving on.
"Last time we found Frank, he outsmarted us. He took a busload of children hostage. He gave us no options."
"He's not going to give us any now."
"Frank's message said, 'I'll kill them all'. Who's he referring to?"
Hotch's phone rings, and he puts JJ on speakerphone when he sees her calling.
"JJ?"
"Hey, Gideon had a black leather-bound book. Garcia discovered something. It looks like the first page has been ripped out. You can only really see what's left on the side of the page, but it's definitely Gideon's handwriting. Looks like some kind of a list."
"It's his murder book." Hotch says.
"Murder book?" Emily asks.
"When he opens it to the first page, it reminds him why he does what he does. It's a list of all the people he's ever saved--names, dates, and personal details."
"Frank has that list," you sigh.
"Frank said, 'I'll kill them all'. That's who he's going after."
"Yeah, at least the ones he can get to--the ones that are nearby."
"JJ, start locating all the possible targets. We need to call them and warn them," Hotch orders.
"Got it," she says and hangs up.
"Do we tell Gideon?" Derek asks.
"Absolutely not. We need to find out who Frank is first."
Tumblr media
You knew this wasn't going to get settled right away, so you had to pick it up in the morning. When everyone got into the office in the morning, JJ took every single picture of the people that were saved from Gideon's office. Frank is going to hurt one of these people, so you have to call each and every one so you know they are going to be safe. JJ leaves the room to get the rest of the pictures, leaving you and Spencer alone in the briefing room.
"How did it go with Hannah?"
"Fairly well. She was hesitant to leave, but we both could see that Deborah and Charles are good people. She's going to be okay."
"Good," he smiles.
JJ comes back with the rest of the photos just as the rest of the team filters in.
"I took these from Gideon's office."
"What about Jane?" Hotch asks.
"I gave photos of Jane and Frank to all media outlets, and I'm liaising with Washington MPD."
"JJ, if you locate her, make sure we're the first to interrogate her. Don't let PD get to her."
"Is that wise?" Derek asks.
"No, but it is an order. Whatever you do, bring her here first. She's the only one who knows who Frank is."
"So far we've narrowed it down to nine possible targets," Spencer says.
"Their contact details are in the files. Everybody grab a phone. Let's start calling."
You grab a phone and call the person whose file you grabbed. Everyone calls the people down the list, and so far, everything is good. These people are placed into protective custody for the time being. JJ grabs the file that belongs to Rebecca Brian, the daughter of the Fisher King. You found her in the basement of the house that he intentionally blew up with the bomb strapped to his chest.
"Hello?" she answers.
There is something wrong. She sounds scared.
"There's something wrong," you say quietly.
"Rebecca Brian? Hi, this is Jennifer Jareau with the FBI."
"He's not agent Gideon, is he?"
"Excuse me?"
"Frank is there," you say to Hotch who takes over.
"Rebecca, this is agent Hotchner. If you can, very calmly excuse yourself and get out of the house. Can you do that?" However, she doesn't answer. "Rebecca, just calmly hang up, walk to your door, and leave. Okay? Rebecca?"
"What's going on?"
There is a struggle on her end of the lie, and suddenly, it goes silent. Frank must have done something to her.
"Hi, I regret to inform you that Rebecca's name should be moved to a new list," Frank smirks.
"Frank, we don't have her. We do not have Jane."
"I will not stop until I have her back."
"Frank!" Hotch yells, though, he hangs up. "Damn it!"
You have to get to Rebecca's place before Frank hurts her, but you have a feeling that she died as soon as the phone hung up. Just like you suspected, Rebecca was cut up on her bed and Frank was nowhere to be found. You have to search the place for evidence that he was here, but you know it's going to come up clean.
"Shit," Hotch curses under his breath.
She was a woman who didn't deserve this, just like Hannah.
"Hotch, nothing could have stopped this," you sigh.
"Guys... we've got a note from Frank," Emily says, finding the note in Rebecca's palm. "7 AM. Union Station."
"All eight other targets on that list are safe and accounted for," Spencer says.
"Then we've missed someone or something. Now that he's set a meeting, he's going to raise the stakes. Just like he did last time. He's going to make it impossible for us to not trade Jane for whoever he's got."
Hotch's phone rings, and he places JJ on speakerphone like before.
"Yeah, JJ?"
"I think I found Jane. The beat cops picked up a woman who was ranting and raving about needing to talk to the BAU. She assaulted one of the police officers. She's being processed as we speak."
"So, what have we missed?" Derek asks.
"Frank's incapable of experiencing normal feelings," Spencer states.
"Yeah, but he takes what normal people hold sacred--children. Just like he did last time. He's doing the one thing he knows how to do to get away." you say.
"JJ, I'm going to have Prentiss call you to find out where to pick up Jane. We'll all meet back at the BAU. I'm going to wait for the crime scene unit."
"I heard you. He's going after children now," JJ says.
"I also need you to look at relocations or anything involving children. Families that have moved into the DC area since the case."
"I'm on it," she says and hangs up.
Emily and Spencer leave together to get Jane while the rest of you figure out who was missed from the list that Gideon had. It took some digging, but Penelope figured out that Tracey Belle was the only one not accountable. She was the victim that you had to save from the kid that was murdering other kids in the woods. He was the one allergic to dairy, and his father gave him up in the end.
With Tracey identified, you head to her house. Her parents aren't home, but neither is she. Hotch had to call the parents to ask if she was with them, and when he responded that she wasn't, panic set in. They rushed home once they heard the news that their daughter was missing.
"Get the unit crime scene team," Hotch says to Derek.
"That's my house!" the dad says as he and his wife exit the car.
"Mr. Belle?"
"You have to let us in. My daughter's in there!" the mom cries.
"You can't go in right now," you say.
Hotch has the mother while Derek is making sure the father doesn't rush into the house on his own.
"Where's Tracey? Where is she?"
"What's important to know right now is Tracey is alive, okay? Your daughter's alive--"
Mr. Belle breaks off and starts rushing to the house, but Derek is quick to jump into action. He slams his body into Mr. Belle, holding his hand out and preventing him from going inside.
"Sir! She's not there. She's not there."
"I promise you we will find her, and she's going to be fine," Hotch says.
"No, no, no," the mother cries, hugging her husband tightly.

Best Mining Equipment in 2024
Tumblr media
We wrote this article to recommend the best mining equipment in 2024 to our audience. All the items on our list boast high efficiency in solving cryptographic puzzles. We’ll focus on ASICs (application specific integrated circuits) for BTC because this asset keeps attracting the most attention worldwide.
Top Bitcoin Mining Hardware
After the next planned halving in 2024, the block reward of BTC will plummet – but the price of the asset is projected to spike. That’s why now seems to be an opportune moment to buy mining equipment for it. Here is the list of best ASICs for you to choose:
Antminer S21
It’s the most cutting-edge option on our list. Just like all the other Antminers that we’re about to mention, it was created by the renowned Bitmain brand, headquartered in China. This company is an undoubted global leader in its niche. It sets the bar high for all the other manufacturers in terms of performance, user-friendliness and reliability.
Antminer S21 model is premium, brand-new and ready for the upcoming BTC halving. Its hashing power reaches 200 TH/s, while its electricity consumption remains amazingly affordable. A pair of high-speed fans ensures the optimal temperature. Consider this one if you’re planning to scale mining operations in 2024.
Antminer S19K Pro
We can recommend this machine in two variations: with a hash rate of 115 TH/s or 120 TH/s. Judging by its power, you may expect it to be costly – but, to consumers’ pleasant surprise, it’s rather affordable. S19k pro (115 TH) is currently offered as ECOS with a 30% discount. Its setup is not too difficult and it should be able to deliver you nice profit.
Antminer S19 XP Hyd
This model stands out from the rest thanks to its mind-blowing hashrate of 255 TH/s. On the flip side, its energy efficiency leaves much to be desired. It makes sense to purchase this machine only to place it in a location with very cheap electricity costs. Otherwise, your bills might become prohibitive. The good news is that you shouldn’t worry too much about the noise. The “Hyd” element in the miner’s name means that it lacks fans and is equipped with a water cooling system instead that works quietly.
Antminer S19 XP
It’s an older, cheaper and less advanced version of the previous one. Its hashrate is almost twice as low. Unlike its Hyd counterpart, it doesn’t rely on water to cool down. Four fans that are embedded in it produce loud noise – so the larger the distance between this piece of equipment and your bedroom, the better. S19 XP consumes modest amounts of power, so you won’t go bankrupt because of your energy bills.
Avalon Made A1366
Now, let’s have a look at worthy alternatives for Antminers. This one belongs to the product range of the reputable Canaan company from China. This model is an upgraded version of the A10 bestseller. It performs at 130 TH/s, which is good but nothing out of the ordinary. Its energy consumption is reasonable and its noise level is unfortunately high. Its biggest merit is its intuitive interface that lets you fine-tune the miner with minimum effort.
WhatsMiner M50S
It’s the brainchild of MicroBT, one of the most ambitious Chinese manufacturers. It consumes a bit more power than average and its hashrate is 126 TH/s. This miner features only two fans – but the level of noise that they produce is comparable to competitors that have four or more fans. We included it in our list because its price is delightfully low, which is great for entry-level crypto enthusiasts.
WhatsMiner M56S
This MicroBt Whatsminer is the runner-up on our list in terms of hashrate – it reaches 212 TH/s. Such a powerhouse demands a lot of energy, so it might take you many months to break even. Make sure to make calculations for the long term before ordering it. As for the noise, it won’t disturb you too much because the water cooling system works quietly.
Hopefully, with our help, it will be easier for you to select efficient Bitcoin mining equipment! Antminers S21 and S19K Pro currently enjoy an intense and well-deserved demand thanks to their exceptional characteristics.
Get ready for the upcoming halving - buy efficient and affordable mining equipment now!

We’re in a Sellers’ Market. What Does That Mean?
Even though activity in the housing market has slowed from the frenzy we saw over a year ago, today’s low supply of homes for sale is still a sellers’ market. But what does that really mean? And why are conditions today so good if you want to list your house?
It starts with the number of homes available for sale. The latest Existing Home Sales Report from the National Association of Realtors (NAR) shows housing supply is still astonishingly low. Today, we have a 2.6-month supply of homes at the current sales pace. Historically, a 6-month supply is necessary for a ‘normal’ or ‘neutral’ market in which there are enough homes available for active buyers (see graph below):
What Does This Mean for You?
When the supply of homes for sale is as low as it is right now, it’s much harder for buyers to find one to purchase. That creates increased competition among purchasers and keeps upward pressure on prices. And if buyers know they’re not the only one interested in a home, they’re going to do their best to submit a very attractive offer. As this happens, sellers are positioned to negotiate deals that meet their ideal terms. Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist at NAR, says:
“Inventory levels are still at historic lows. Consequently, multiple offers are returning on a good number of properties.”
Right now, there are still buyers who are ready, willing, and able to purchase a home. If you list your house right now in good condition and at the right price, it could get a lot of attention from competitive buyers.
Bottom Line
Today’s sellers’ market holds great opportunities for homeowners ready to make a move. Listing your house now will maximize your exposure to serious, competitive buyers. Let’s connect to discuss how to jumpstart the selling process.

So freaking good. 💗 Already, one of my 2023 top reads. 🔥 Can't wait for the spin-off series. I just know it's gonna be epic. 😈 #gimme 📚 I swear I want to write a proper review at some point, but as Daddy Grayson would put it, I'm currently still too deep in my feels. 😍❤️ . . 📚 Blurb: Three words: Pink. Sparkly. Bikini. That’s how this depraved obsession started. I’d never once looked at Lyric as anything other than my wife’s daughter. The deepest my attention and affections ran were that of any fatherly figure. But those neglected baser needs took one look too long, and my fate was sealed—especially after the “accidental” nude debacle. I figure ignoring her and staying as far away as possible will get my point across; we can’t happen and I can’t be attracted to her. It’s immoral, forbidden, wrong on so many levels. She’s a brat, though, and goddamn does she know how to play the game. Knows how to work her way under my skin, how to push my buttons, how to taunt and tempt me toward the point of no return. How to break me. And eventually, it works. I snap, we collide—the perfect combination of heaven and hell. What never should have happened quickly spirals into tabloid-gold material, a scandal waiting to happen. We’re playing one hell of a dangerous game, treading lines that could ruin us if her A-list celebrity mother uncovers our little secret. The one thing working in our favor is we’re not the only ones hiding the truth within the shadows. Lyric Taylor will be mine—mark my words. Even if I have to burn our lives to the ground to keep her. . . #bratmodeactivated #remidarling #Lyric #Grayson #DaddyGrayson #Cece #DMB #5starread #top2023 #books #bookstagram #beddablereads #brat #daddy https://www.instagram.com/p/Corm5kuIqjz/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Hula hoops for exercise at home
Hula hoops have a magnetic vibe that attracts people from all walks of life, and for good reason. This is not only an artistic, free-flowing form of expression, but also a movement that burns heat and regulates muscles. Honestly, it's just the obvious stuff. Relieve anxiety and depression This is the most useful weighted hula hoop benefit I have ever experienced. The world is not an easy place to live sometimes, and we all face mental health challenges. For me, hula hooping gives me a sense of calm and clarity. It's just me and my smart hula hoop and my favorite music. In this moment, I am free to exist without expectations, without fear. It was the most healing experience. It was a relief. Improve the love we have for our bodies exercise hula hooping does a lot to help you get fit. First, I think it's more important to talk about how much hula hooping actually helps you love your body, no matter your size, fitness or age. Before hula hooping, I never really knew my body, and being fat prevented me from really loving my body. I didn't like the way I looked, and what was worse, I didn't feel healthy. I don't know what my body can do, but I don't think it's that big. I have no idea how to change any of this. The hula hoop weight loss changed my life. Within the first few days, I began to feel excited. I'm excited to exercise! This is new. When I started using workout hula hoop for women to lose weight, I got a sore feeling in my muscles that I didn't even know I had. I could feel my whole body tightening. My balance is better. My energy levels shot up. I started to feel a connection to my body. It was like I understood for the first time that my body was me and deserved my attention, love and respect. There's a wonderful sense of accomplishment in learning new moves with a hula hoop. In my first few days, being proud of what I was doing with my body was a whole new feeling. It's been an incredible journey and I don't want to leave. Hula hooping makes me see myself as graceful, strong, beautiful, even powerful. In my opinion, this is a great benefit. It really changed my life. When you are comfortable with yourself both inside and out, achieving your dreams will suddenly appear in your sights. It's a creative channel That's because hula hoops turn on the part of our brain that fosters creativity. Your own unique talents will shine through in everything you do with the hula hoop. You might start making a list of your favorite songs that you'd like to try hula hooping. You might want to consider the different sizes and colors of hula hoops you want to try. You can use more different hula hoops for exercise, not only for weight loss, but also for smart hula hoops, beginner hula hoops, etc. We can enrich the use of exercise hula hoop through the understanding of the sport and the progress of technology. Creativity is a hula hoop benefit, not only because it produces beautiful art in the form of your unique hoop dance, but also because creativity itself has a multitude of health benefits. There are dozens of studies showing that creativity can increase positive emotions, reduce depressive symptoms, reduce stress, reduce anxiety, and even improve immune system function. This creative addition is something that most exercise and fitness programs simply don't have. Be in good health First of all, I want to acknowledge and honor that we all come from different places on our journey of physical health and all of our bodies are unique. We're tall, we're short, we're thick, we're thin and everything in between. Some of us were athletes in high school, and some of us never felt that the word "athlete" could describe us. That's why size inclusion is so important to me and our brand. Because we are all unique, we all deserve this transformative hula hoop experience. While physical fitness is the most obvious benefit of hula hooping, many people don't realize how healthy hula hooping can make you. Hit with a weighted hula hoop in a variety of ways, and there's no muscle you can't beat. You can use hula hoops to work your arms, legs, core, back, shoulders, chest, hips, neck, and even every inch of your body. It turns out that hula hoops can burn up to 600 calories per hour even when they're around your waist, which is interesting. I hope this article helps you understand not only how much hula hooping has benefited my life, but more importantly, how much it has benefited yours. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09TF1JTG2

From problems to curiosity, the Guggenheim, Issei, and mosquitos
Welcome to Friday!
As always I am including a list of articles, music, and some history bits that I’ve been enjoying lately. Hopefully you’re able to find something you enjoy!
This first article I am sharing is how to reframe problems as curiosity engines, and as I am an avid supporter of reframing I love this and will now be gathering my problems to explore. “As Pulitzer Prize-winning historian David Hackett Fischer aptly said: “Questions are the engines of intellect — cerebral machines that convert curiosity into controlled inquiry.”
 Articles:
From problems to curiosity engine (Feynman’s favorite problems) (nesslabs.com)
During a talk at MIT, mathematician Gian-Carlo Rota recalled: “Richard Feynman was fond of giving the following advice on how to be a genius. You have to keep a dozen of your favorite problems constantly present in your mind, although by and large they will lay in a dormant state. Every time you hear or read a new trick or a new result, test it against each of your twelve problems to see whether it helps.”
Creating a list of favorite problems offers many benefits:
·       Turn stressful situations into intriguing problems to explore
·       Filter information based on whether it relates to one of your favorite problems
·       Connect with fellow curious minds who are interested in similar problems
·       Focus your attention on ideas that arouse your curiosity
·       Notice relevant patterns and potential solutions across seemingly unrelated topics
Interview: Getting everyone on the same page with Height (nesslabs.com)
“In this interview, we talked about interconnected companies, how to reconcile project management with personal productivity, how to foster cross-collaboration between different types of teams, how to create “swimlanes” of work, and much more.”
I find this aspect of Height to be incredibly helpful. “And it sounds small, but Height also tells you who read your messages, so you don’t need to ping them individually and ask if they saw your message!”
How to use anxiety to your advantage - BBC Future, this article is incredibly good and so fascinating. Another reframing guide!
Learning to be anxious in the right way means finding ways to work through it rather than around it, to leverage and channel anxiety to meet goals, and to discern when anxiety isn't useful and practice letting it go. Think of this virtuous cycle of anxiety as having three parts: listen, leverage, and let go.
To cope, we have learned to think of the emotion like we do any ailment – we want to prevent it, avoid it and stamp it out at all costs. But the fact is we've got it backwards. The problem isn't anxiety. Anxiety is the messenger – telling us that we're facing uncertainty and need to rise to the challenge; or pointing us to ways that our life needs to change or we need support. Instead, one of the key problems is that our beliefs about anxiety stop us from believing we can manage it, from accessing and benefitting from coping strategies and treatments that do exist, and to learn to use it to our advantage. And when our beliefs make anxiety worse, we are at greater risk for travelling down the path towards debilitating anxiety and anxiety disorders.
Differential mosquito attraction to humans is associated with skin-derived carboxylic acid levels: Cell, if you’ve ever thought mosquitos bother you more than others – you’re probably right. And it all boils down to the amount of carboxylic acid levels on your skin.
13 Things Mentally Strong People Won't Do | LinkedIn, “Too many people succumb to the mistaken belief that mental strength comes from natural, unteachable traits that belong only to a lucky few. It’s easy to fall prey to this misconception. In reality, mental strength is under your control, and it’s a matter of emotional intelligence (EQ).”
 Art:
Guggenheim Museum | History, Art, & Facts | Britannica, today in 1959 the Guggenheim in NYC opened. In 2019 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
 Music:
In honor of what would have been Dizzy Gillespie’s 104th birthday, here are a few of his pieces.
On The Sunny Side Of The Street - YouTube
Dizzy Gillespie feat. Charlie Parker - A Night In Tunisia - YouTube
 Some more Autumn-like music,
She & Him - It's Not For Me To Say (Audio) - YouTube
GHOST RIDERS IN THE SKY | Low Bass Singer Cover | Geoff Castellucci - YouTube
 Dance:
Bboy Junior is a legend 🤯 - YouTube, if you are of the opinion that being a bboy is just playing around and calling it dancing….please watch Bboy Junior. The amount of control and strength that he displays is incredible. And then add the cleverness aspect, chef’s kiss.
How to make a statement! 🔥 - YouTube, Bboy Issei’s control and power is something else.
I hope that this weekend is a weekend of rest, fun, and enjoyment for you. I am going to help family with a fish fry, which is always a good time!
