Ok, about the soulmate subject:
It doesn't have to be contrary to free will though.
Sam and Dean were mainly created to become Lucifer's and Michael's vessel (which they did eventually, still bitter about the Michael! Dean storyline, such a shitty retcon ruining 'point of no return' in hindsight, but nvm, Jensen wanted to wear pretty clothes so, shrugs).
But they did not fight each other/ overcame the fight eventually.
They chose free will and chose not to follow the angel's apocalypse plan.
But they're still tied to each other by fate.
One doesn't cancel out the other.
A show can have multiple themes.

Palestinian freedom fighters breaking out of Gaza and reclaiming their occupied territories. They’ve taken over israeli tanks and have chased out the settlers that were on that land. They’ve launched rockets everywhere and the iron dome has failed to intercept. This is about to mark a momentous event in history.
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.

Gay ships from video games and other media that have fanbases full of dudebros and 16-year-old boys that would get pissy about said ships are my bread and butter

original thief series basso & garrett :)
ngl, it's about quality over quantity for me. an npc can have a total of three minutes of screen time, but if they have a cool name, they can live rent free in my head and I'll spend several hours trying to decipher drawable features from a blurry screenshot of pixels
there is a vague hint of a story here, and that's because every time I try to play thi4f, I get incredibly frustrated with how Not Fun the game play is. like, is the story good? well. but it has a PLAGUE. that should've given it instant 'I'll replay this once a year' status in my heart, but the game play sucks so bad that I've never finished it. I can't believe Not Fun gameplay beat out my obsession with narrative plagues.
anyway, the idea is basically if the original era had a game with a plague centric narrative and some other stuff I liked out of thi4f thrown into a narrative blender, with a heavy dash of horror thrown in because some parts of the thief games were scarier to me than entire dedicated horror genre games.

Vox can understand Velvette just fine. They don't necessarily need to get along all the time, but they have a mutually beneficial contract that guarantees her support in the most efficient way possible, just how they both like it, short and strict and to the point.
Vox does not understand Valentino.
It drives him unimaginably, disgustingly insane.
He knows how to handle him, make no mistake. Valentino is a never-ending powerhouse that wrangles out content from his employees like there's no tomorrow. He's proven himself to be Vox's most lucrative investment yet. He is resourceful, well-connected and most importantly predictable enough to rein in. Because he listens to you, because he needs you.
He is also, undeniably, out of his goddamn mind.
Yet you've already invested too much in the corporate empire you've built together and there is no point turning back now that you have him so close to your side. It's OK however! He couldn't possibly be stupid enough to throw away the best partnership deal he's ever had just for the sake of something petty cause -oh, wait - he genuinely might just be that stupid and you never would've guessed because he's so cocksure of his bullshit that 80% of the time it ends up working in his favor anyway.
Fuck his life indeed.
The kicker for this of course is that Valentino, genuinely does believe he has struck gold with Vox.
Valentino is a clingy, possessive, immature, perverted, sadistic, egotistical man-child with severe rage issues and zero impulse control. No he is not aware of this at all. No he does not know why nobody is able to tolerate him and why every single person he gets close to hates his guts with every inch of their burning rotting souls. All he knows is that hell has now given him a flat faced prince in shining liquid crystal armour, riding on a cash filled horse with promises of power and luxury, who's practically handing him success on a silver platter. Doesn't mean that Val trusts him, doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy seeing him lose his shit. But at the end of the day vox has his back, and as long as Val keeps calling for him, he'll eventually turn up and make everything better. Cause hey if Vox hasn't left him yet for this long he must be doing something right.
Right?

On the one hand, I've really missed the whole concept of a whole TV series not being completely available on day one, I really have. There are certain delights and merits to having to wait a week or so before seeing the next installment. It gives you time to process the new information with everything you have seen so far, rather than becoming fatigued after a single sitting of binge-watching. There's the fan art, the fics, the theories and speculation about what's been and what's to come, making predictions and headcanons only to be disproven a week later and having to decide how much of your old ideas you'll work in going forward with the canon and what becomes a fun AU. I've genuinely missed this.
On the other hand, cliffhangers still make me want to eat an entire wall.

It's not my fault they put such a cat-coded character in a little kitty cat collar with a little jingly bell, but now I'm thinking about super cute cat-coded Ed prompts!
Ed sprawling out on Stede's lap when he wants attention
Ed napping in the sunlight and getting all warm and cozy. Stede eventually puts a big comfy chair right by the window that gets the best sunlight so Ed can get some quality naps in
Ed curling up in Stede lap when Stede's trying to read or something and immediately falling asleep and Stede just being like "well I can't move now"
Ed thinking Stede's ignoring him so he keeps doing that thing where cats gently touch you with their little paws
Ed curled up on the couch all cozy but he really wants Stede's attention so he just starts going "Stede? Steeeeeede?" in a mournful little voice until Stede gives in
Stede braiding Ed's hair or gently brushing it and Ed getting so happy he's practically purring
Ed getting woken up from a nap by Stede doing chores or something and kind of sleepily following him around the house just because he wants to be together
I was also about to say "purposefully knocking stuff off shelves when he's upset" but he literally already did that
