Okay so, tomorrow’s fic update is going to be SUCH A SURPRISE that even *I’m* going to be surprised by which one it is 😂 and by that I mean I haven’t actually decided which fic I’m going to update next because I’ve been shockingly productive and have MULTIPLE in nearly post ready condition.
(Okay, so I actually am pretty sure I know which one I’m going to update - it’s the one where we left poor Fictional!Matty in not great condition 👀 I just hope no one is disappointed by the update and I’m going to be excited to hear your thoughts!!!)

so since most of you wanted to wrap seb's week in such a "different" way i'd say, i'm here to introduce you to the seb fic that's part of my upcoming f1 dilf saga, as you know it (maybe is not only dilfs 👀).

omg omg omg omg i really wanted to share this with you guys. i've had this idea for quite a while in my head and to be honest with you, i just wanted to go out to my comfort zone and start writing au because it truly feels, at least for me, quite different from writing something following the f1 world.
not only seb, but also what we all call "f1 dilfs", have been a part of my life since i can remember. they were the first people i've ever admired in formula 1 world and doing this saga, which i decided to call CITY OF STARS SERIES, is like i'm healing my inner child/early teen years because i know i would've have loved both writing and reading this type of content.
i don't know if I'll do well, and i don't know if anyone will read this, but these works have made me the happiest in a long time, especially after struggling a lot in wattpad. i feel more comfortable with my writing that have been in a long time and, even if it's not the greatest and I still need to improve a lot of things, i'm just happy idk what else to say!
i'll be doing a list of characters with their faceclaims so you have the chance to identify each one of them with a "famous" person. also, I'll probably update these works on wattpad (even people won't read them lol)
if this works ok, maybe i'll think about telling you something more about this "universe", where everything is more connected than you can think about :)

i don’t really get how the whole posting format for fics works on here tbh 😭 and like your info area it’s so cool
YEAH OFC!! btw dm me your username so i can follow and support you <3
tip 1- the posting format isnt that hard to get used to actually its just you create a tumblr text post and then copy and paste your fic onto it, add the tags and stuff then post it. if you want to add banners, headers and stuff to make it look better then go ahead, just add images to the text post
tip 2- the info area is the same as above, just add pictures of your choice etc to the text post, add your information, name, age, fav things etc and then to link posts to your post, highlight where u want the link to go, then copy the link of the post u want linked then press the hyperlink that looks like two chains linked together when you highlight the text if that makes sense? sounds like a lot but its rlly not i promise haha
tip 3- always type your fics on other apps like word or google docs since they have an auto save feature!! i dont reccomend typing your fics on tumblr since one if the app crashes, it doesn't automatically save your work so everything you wrote will get deleted (some versions of tumblr do have autosave, my laptop has it but my phone and iPad doesn't, so i dont rely on it)
tip 4- idk if you want tips on actual fic writing or just how to get your fics onto tumblr but ill help you with that anyway. with me when i write fics i always imagine it out in my head. theres some of my fics where i just went with the flow and wrote wgatever came to mind and those are the fics i hate the most because they dont rlly make sense to me. theyre always so random and it just seems rushed and bad.
i picture my fics like a scene in my head and whatever i want the character to do, think, say or feel i write that shit down asap. i use other online sources to help get more descriptive like the emotion theasurus <- honestly one of my favourite things to use ever, they have so much body language to use for every emotion in the damn book
dialogue is also something i find difficult. i've improved i personally feel like but its still hard for me especially if im writing a new character. i never want to make the character seem OOC so i do lots of research before hand. i normally use the wiki to read up on a characters personality.
for example i'll use ran for this since he's like 99% of my account lmao. in the wiki, he's described as "naturally whimsical toward others which makes him inscrutable" though ran doesnt have many scenes in the manga (which i hate bc i love him sm) its impossible to actually write him down to a tee so i use that naturally whimsical description to make him playful, charismatic, carefree etc, going off what little information i have with him.
getting a characters personality down is what can make or break a dialogue. for me when im reading a fic of a character and their dialogue is so OOC it puts me off and i dont even wanna read. so i apply my same fic icks to myself and think if I don't like seeing this and that in a fic, why would I incorporate those in my fics and have ppl get put off it if they have the same fic icks as me?
hope that makes sense!!
tip 5- dont rush yourself at all. i used to rush a few of my fics and i just ended up hating it so much after and fought bck the urge to delete them so many times but then i'd see people's comments and realise i was being too harsh on myself. i'd keep them up but i'd just hate seeing them get attention.
rushing only makes you hate your work and the quality of your work will decline if you are not in the right headspace.
thats also why i have the don't rush me thing in my rules because not only is it annoying to see people constantly asking for updates, it also makes me mad because i know i'll just put out a piece of garbage if i did rush.
also another tip don't give yourself deadlines!! if you know your writing consistency can be a little sloppy, don't tell your followers that you're going to upload every so and so day. if something happens and you miss the deadline, you'll feel bad and rush something out and most times out of ten, a rushed fic doesn't do well. so take your time and don't rush.
tip 6- dont listen to what other people say or feel obligated to write something you don't wanna. establish your boundaries!! for example, from day one i started this blog i said im accepting requests but i will not write anything to do with non-con, incest or minors. i made sure that was out there so i wouldn't feel uncomforable writing anything i wasn't comfy with.
there are people on this app that may like your writing and request you to write something for them. you are not obligated to write anything for anyone! don't feel like you have to just because they asked nicely.
if you want to accept requests you can im not saying you shouldn't, im saying don't feel like you have to. you always have a choice. its your blog.
tip 7- remember this isn't a job. you're allowed to take breaks, allowed to have a personal life. don't feel like you need to be updating every day. i used to think i was obligated to be uploading consistently at least every week because i was obsesssed with engagement and seeing peoples comments and was scared if i took a break ppl will unfollow. now i honestly don't care. i'm not active as much as i used to because of school and that's fine! if ppl want to leave, let them. don't feel like you're forced to keep being active in order to keep your follower count stable.
tip 8- this app can get really toxic sometimes. luckily enough i've only had one toxic anon in my inbox and i've been on this app for a year. some people have so many, some ppl get harrassed etc. if that happens to you just be prepared since there's no actual way to find out who's behind anons. you can turn off your anon options which means if ppl want to inbox you something then their account will be showing. some people arent comfortable with that and that's fine! i keep mine on because i want people to feel comfortable on my page.
just remember though if you ever feel like this app is getting overwhelming take breaks! for the sake of your mental health take breaks. i know so many writers on here that took breaks and came back healthier and stronger.
i feel like this tip goes for social media in general. as much as i love social media im aware how unhealthy it is. breaks are so important for you. remember that.
i can't think of anymore tips right now but if i have some more i will edit the post and add it on.

Quick check-in!
hello, it is I, your local biohazard, reporting in with an announcement that I am quite possibly ✨ immortal ✨
So, long story short - while I was away at nana's funeral, I got sick.
(Reeeeeal dangerous to catch a cold while you are doing chemotherapy, but fortunately I have dodged the febrile neutropenia risk like a sneaky little bastard. I would have needed immediate hospitalization if my temperature got up to 38°C. It... was 37.7°C at one point, but I am, as I say, immortal, so things are all good!)
I'm still sick, but luckily it seems to be passing 💖Also I sound like a frog, which is just generally amusing to me. I'm meant to be starting chemo again on Tuesday, so hopefully I'm not too sick to continue with treatments! 🤞
Anyway, all this to say:
I'm looking forward to getting stuck back in to working on "Starlight" Chapter 36 -- there is a whole lot of stuff in this "Creator vs Crimson Beech" arc I am really exited to share with you guys!! 💫
Part 2 of "Whatever You Say, President Adalhard" is in the works, no idea when that will be published, but it will be coming some day! (Not in the least because we simply NEED more f/f!Gas in the world💕
I'm also working on a side fic that will take place at an unspecified point in the "Starlight" timeline, based on an ask I got from the lovely @jerzwriter -- not sure when I'll get that one out, but it has been so nice to dip into lighthearted shenanigans with Cas, Luca, Gabriel, and the rest of the ID gang! Especially given how stressed they all are in "Starlight" at present (sorry guys! hehe). The whole thing hinges on a quiz night at the local arcade where Libby and Gabriel work, and Cas hating everything and everyone the entire time ✨
I've also been doing a bit of loose storyboarding for the eventual demon!Cas x angel!Gabriel au -- I doubt it will see the light of day before "Starlight" is finished, but the current working title is "Set My Wings on Fire" 👀🔥
I'll do my best to get well so I can get stuck back into writing again! Just wanted to give you guys an update on the things I'm working on!

10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? no, but if i did it would be in the same cannon of the show (sg atlantis or sg universe).

I may have suddenly remembered I have a tumblr. And that I write Frozen fic. except......
oops.
Short story: I have been incredibly busy but well! I'm healthy! I'm still writing and creating! I hope everyone reading this is doing great!!
Long story:

Career change, moved house, masochistically started a postgrad degree while working full time, working on original story projects when I have time AND AND AND started a two-person creative studio with @lianthuss!! We have a webcomic oneshot releasing in the coming weeks!! More info on that below :D

First of all, thank you for sticking around for this story! The fact you enjoy it means so much to me. I know exactly how frustrating it is to be invested in an unfinished story. I have every intention of finishing the fic, and the thought of it still brings me a lot of joy, which is all I need to keep writing. That said, the honest answer is I've been so busy I haven't worked on it for almost a year now. I didn't even remember where I was up to in the next chapter until I opened it and saw 1000 words (that I now want to entirely overwrite 🥲)
"when do you think the fic will be finished?"
Funnily enough, my mental goal was to have TNU finished before Frozen 3 comes out... and I might still make it! There are (I think) 5-7 chapters left to go, so not far. The question is when I'll have time to write. The second question is what else I'm working on - I have a lot of original story ideas in development that motivate me more than TNU right now. TNU is like my fun corner. I pick at it when I miss it, or when I need a change of pace from other projects. I know it might be disappointing to hear TNU isn't my highest priority and truly appreciate every reader. I do absolutely plan to keep writing this fic, but I'm also having so much fun with original stories and the new studio. I hope some of you will be interested in supporting this other dimension of my creative pursuits too :)

Why I'm so glad you asked! I actually discovered a passion for game development :O I've only made one little one for my partner so far but I have lots of other game ideas brewing that I'd love to turn into reality and share with the world. I'm especially pulled towards concepts that have compelling narratives (I am a writer hehe) that use gameplay to create a story that can only be told in the game medium. (yes, playing Nier: Automata changed my life and you should play it too)
And!! I got into 3D modelling and pixel art! Super fun. Please behold this fat chocobo I modelled and got 3D printed

Our first project is MIDNIGHT HOUR, a oneshot webcomic based on a moment in a larger sci-fi fantasy epic (which will be a webcomic series in the future!) I wrote a 2k oneshot on a whim and lianthuss brought it to life with her incredible storyboarding and art. Coming super duper soon! As in WITHIN ONE MONTH soon!!

Smut with feelings and a very long ending with cameos - Sard’ika Sessions (The smut increases and there a warnings on each section but overall I believe it’s a beautiful 6 part story.)
For fluff with slight plot violence: Our Journey Across the Star Ocean (The violence involves some blood and an injury. But other than that, very fluffy. I wanted to give Din some fluff too, but he’s cute and anxious.)
There’s also my March Spring Prompts in which I ended on Din with Fairies and Garden 🪴 They both have a bit of comedy and Din meeting a fairy warrior. 😆

Fic ask meme: 4, 6, 8, and 11!
Thank you for the ask, friend! First ask I'll answer to kick off the New Year, haha. I'm super excited for these questions, so let's get into it! (from this post)
4. Do you think you’ll stop writing for a fandom this year? Which one?
Honestly, I don't think so. There may be fandoms I slow down on or maybe put on hold for however long I need, but it's pretty safe to say that if I've written and posted one fic in a fandom there is always a chance I will come back around and write for it again. Even BNHA. I mean, Aizawa is pretty central to Bar AU, so even if I don't write anything else for the fandom, I will be continuing to contribute to it through our Bar AU.
6. Which yet-to-be-started fic is first on your list?
Definitely the Vampire Idia x Human Kalim fic. Specifically, the one where Ortho is also a vampire (not by choice). I am so excited for it; I miss writing my boys and I love vampires. I have so many ideas, and I'm already looking at a bittersweet ending and kicking my feet over the kissing scenes I will add...and potentially biting scenes 👀👀I have been itching to write that since like, October. Life just kept getting in the way and I do want to be a little closer to being finished my haunted convenience store fic for Blue Exorcist: Inconvenience Store before I really get into it, because I feel like that one is kind of looming over me (I haven't updated it since November and while that's really not that long ago, it feels like forever probably because of the chaos of Christmas).
8. Is there a story idea in your mental vault that you’ve never been brave enough to try writing? Is this the year? Can you tell us about it?
Hmmm, I'm not sure if this is the year...it depends on how the year goes lol, but do you remember the Danganronpa AU we discussed where everyone is a supernatural creature attending Hope's Peak, except for Hajime and Naegi? And all their supernatural classmates get super protective of their human friends and very easily misunderstand common human practices...I really really want to write something along those lines at some point. I miss writing Danganronpa; I haven't done it in forever and the characters are so fun. Honestly, I'd be happy if I can even get one fic for the fandom out, even if it's not the supernatural au. 🥰💜
11. Would you like to try any new fanfic genres or tropes this year?
Well, half my brain is shouting "timeloop fic timeloop fic timeloop fic" and the other half is going "no. absolutely no timeloop fic, do you know the effort that would take? How many timelines we'd have to figure out and unravel? How much additional planning we would need? DO YOU REMEMBER HOW WE STRUGGLE WITH EVEN JUST A SIMPLE MINOR CANON DEVIATION???? THIS IS WHY WE STICK TO AUS. TIMELINES ARE HARD." So. I'll probably end up trying out a timeloop fic this year, even if I don't end up posting it.

Here I am again!! I'll answer both of them in one go, because at this point it's probably simpler this way ahsnsksj
The jealousy theme seems to be a continuing theme in Carlitos' life and our conversations, and I have a couple of things to add on that (under the cut because this is probably gonna get long ajshsksj)👀
I'll start off by saying that THIS DIALOGUE TOO IS SO ON POINT. "You just had to bring that uo didn't you" - "sorry" ASJSKSSK i definitely can picture them!! Obviously all in good spirits, Jannik would never get mad at Carlitos for something like this and even if he did, Carlitos has a couple of powerful aces up his sleeve that can get him forgiven ajjsksksk
AND I READ THAT FIC (shocking, I know) and I LOVED IT (even more shocking, I know). When I read it I was wondering if Jannik would actually be up for a ploy like that, because he didn't really strike me as the type, but the more time passes the more convinced I get that Jannik is not as angelic as we think lmao AND that he can be a very jealous person (I know that I sound boring but I'll die on this hill), so a reverse version of that fic with Carlitos being the one to make Jannik jealous would work!! And Luchino, with all the history and the ifs and maybes, means added drama, so... why not?
BUT THIS GETS ME TO THE INTERESTING (I hope) PART OF MY ANSWER, which is what is going on in Alicante (or well, what was going on there in the past week). So some days ago I found an interesting article in an italian newspaper about Jannik's training in Alicante that featured a small interview to Francesco Passaro (another young italian player who was there to train with Jannik and that you've probably seen on Jannik's Insta a couple of days ago) and to OUR DEAR LUCHINO. This article offered me two important pieces of information:
Luchino left Alicante earlier than planned because he twisted his ankle and decided to come back to his hometown in Italy, so that's why we never had any content about him and we didn't see him training with Jannik (which is such a shame for so many reasons!!). Well it's not breaking news at this point, because - again- I'm so late, but at the time it was since no content about him in Alicante was coming up lol
Luca said (and here I quote):"Jannik and I have always got along, we are friends. Nowadays, since we speak the same language and I have spent some time with him, I feel closer to him than to Carlos Alcaraz".
SO!! WE HAVE UPDATES!! WE HAVE LUCA SAYING THAT HE AND JANNIK ARE FRIENDS!! THAT HE PREFERS JANNIK OVER CARLITOS NOW!! This is gold. This interview is more than I hoped for when I wrote that post about Luca and Carlitos that started all of this. But at the same time it kinda destroys all of our theories aksjsksjs From how I see it, there are two possible scenarios here:
It's the truth, so the ship (relationship or friendship, you decide) between Carlitos or Luca has kind of sunk, so Luca is definitely not harboring feelings for Carlitos anymore. BUT at this point I could already imagine a scenario where Luca doesn't get injured, stays in Alicante and Jannik, after finding out that Carlitos and his childhood friend have drifted apart, try to get them to talk again (not jealousy involved this time, he just tries to do something nice for his new friend and his bf)
Luca is kind of lying, things are worse than we expected and he is still hopelessly in love with Carlitos, so he said that to make Carlitos jealous (or in general he said it "bitterly" - not in a bad/malicious way tho, because I absolutely can't think of my baby boy trying to make Jannik and Carlitos break up, but that would definitely spicy things up aksjksks).
You know, the possibilities we have here are endless. AND TO MAKE IT EVEN MORE INTERESTING (and it's the last thing I'm gonna say here because this is getting long) there is a video that I'd like to point out to you. You've probably already have seen this, but it's Carlitos celebrating the winning goal of the annual JFC academy football match with Flavio Cobolli, yet another italian player (he played Luca in the Next Gen Finals and lost btw lol), the actual italian player Carlitos trained with this week (aside from Jannik of course). Soooo Carlitos jumping into his arms during the match? The same match that Jannik didn't partecipate in (but he could have, if he had wanted to)? THIS could get interesting too. This calls for other theories. This calls for Carlitos and Jannik making each other jealous with the help of Flavio and Luca without realising the other is doing the same thing (a scheme that might lead to Flavio and Luca falling in love with each other too? This is a complete random crackship I've just come up with, BUT WHY NOT?). This calls for Jannik pining so hard and bugging Luca about it. This opens the door to so many possibilities I won't list here because my head is starting to spin, but!!

But I did take your suggestion of sorting by word count, and found some drabbles that were translations, and I shouldn't be this surprised but the parallel reading between the English and French actually helped a lot! So I think I'm gonna go off the deep end and read Cambiare Podents >:)
In the meantime, I'm def gonna be getting ahold of the French editions of HP, but you mentioned having some regular book recs too? Whenever you have the time, I'd love to see those 👀👀 I don't want to use you as a free resource, but I really massively appreciate the time you've been putting into this for me and I super appreciate your patience with my very limited vocabulary!

I talked about you to my family (yeah I don't have classes to complain about at diner anymore and your message was sweet) and your word order wasn't usual when you said 'j'aimerais les bons mots utiliser' (you'd put the utiliser before that, j'aimerais utiliser les bons mots) but my dad thought it was charming and it sounded like Yoda. So. That's a compliment obviously. (talking more about my online friends so that when I have the money to take a plane to come see y'all my parents don't go 'who are you going to see??' also)
Hehe Cambiare Podentes was SO important to me honestly! I started with the french translation but there were only a few chapters translated and it stopped right as it was about to get more interesting, and since the chapters are all the size of a novella the translator was updating like once a month/every few months. I didn't want to wait thought so I said well surely I can read it in english! And now here I am. So I hope you have fun with it too!!!
You're not using me as a free ressource you're giving me enrichment!! I love love love talking way too much about things that interest me but usually people aren't on the same wavelength so they listen politely but they don't really care that much. Which is fine but it's so cool when you know your recs actually have a chance of being read! I'll find you a little list of books + try to get a clean epub/pdf because I just know a lot of the stuff I like isn't going to be available outside of France and I'd feel bad for giving you recs you can't get your hands on. There's also a few visual children's books I'm thinking of (like the Claude Ponti books) that I have at home that I could probably take pics of/scan if you want, once again because I have no idea of the availability outside of France and potentially neighbouring countries/Québec. You'll have to tell me if Cambiare Podentes is the right level or if you want some simpler stuff because I can also do children's books with smaller vocabularies and easier sentences, I just have to know haha.
Also if you want me to speak french at you/with you I have a lot of free time now so 👀👀 text/voice, whatever you want, I'm free a fair amount is all I'm saying.

Oh I knew I'd come to the right place to talk about monster loving lmao 🫶🏼
So these are my favorites from the ones I've read:
- Prince of Beasts by Lyonne Riley. This one is super short but it has everything and it doesn't feel rushed (there are warnings at the beginning which I appreciate) This author is also on tumblr and publishes lots of great stuff I highly recommend too
- Space for love by Emily Antoinette. This one is sci fi but don't let that scare you if that's not your genre. This one is super spicy and inclusive (I def want to read more from her)
- Stranded in the Satyr's Garden and Capsized in the Merman's Cove by Cia Petrichor. I include these two because they go together and are also super short, they are the kind of feel good monster books (your binnie minotaur fic reminded me a lot of these because of that)
- Deceived by the Gargoyles by Lillian Lark. I've only read this one but apparently is part of a series (?) I'm not sure but I think that you can read them individually, but basically this one is longer, has more plot not just centered around fuckery but definitely worth reading.
I hope you or anyone interested likes them 🥰 these are based on my personal preferences and they may not be for everyone but well we're here for the action ✨ I can come back and update once I read more 💖

9.11 UPDATE:
ADHD has not been my friend. I have many series open, and that's not good. Of course, that doesn't mean that the mind shuts off - so other ideas pop in. As today's Sunday Six explains, that's caused some issues in getting work out, and I think I just need to be a little kinder to myself, embrace the process and write where my inspiration is and stop forcing the rest. It will come when the time is right.
Here's what is still in the works:
Ethan x Kaycee:
Kismet: The premise of this series was six times Ethan & Kaycee met before they "met" in Edenbrook's lobby. Those six chapters are all completed. The next segment, which is in the works, is their meeting. The final will be us learning if they ever realize that they met in the past.
What Happened in Vegas Part 3 - This is completed - except for ONE SCENE that I'm really struggling with. I'm hoping I'll be able to get it out to you by the weekend of 9.17. I'm so anxious to get this one up, but ... this ONE scene!
When the Bough Breaks Final Chapter - I'm so sorry this one is so abandoned. But I have picked it up, and it's about 70% done. So it is coming soon. I hope you won't be disappointed.
Tobias x Casey:
Friends* Part 5: In the last part, things looked bright for Tobias & Casey after spending a beautiful day together, but the next day he blindsided her, ending their "friends with benefits" arrangement and encouraging her to move on with someone else. What's next for them?
Their Start - I really want to get back to this. In fact, I'm trying to decide if I should attempt this to bring the story current to where The Wedding/Baby part starts or not? Decisions. The story stands at the very start of the chemical attack. Casey has broken up with Tobias, and they're not on speaking terms. But, she gave him a glimmer of hope (and immediately regretted it), then the unimaginable happened.
Wedding/Baby HC for Tobias and Casey - it will cover both weddings and all 3 pregnancies/births of their daughters.
-- The next part, Tobias & Casey travel to DC to tell his mother about their engagement and other big news.
UPCOMING THIS FALL (below the break):
Reset is in the works... still planning it for the fall... I'll give you a more firm date when I have one.
Where it Goes From Here - Well, goddamn, another one-off turns into a series. But it will be a little different. This will consist solely of conversations between different players that take place after Tobias & Casey's fateful meeting at the airport. There will also be some flashbacks from their past, as well as Tobias & Lisette's 👀 My plan is to do finish Friends* before I get into this.
Further Down The Line:
I'm repackaging and wrapping up Their First Two Months for Ethan and Casey. This will become an "alternate end" to my Ethan HC. Ethan/Kaycee HC will progress a little differently, with their love confessions and relationship timing taking a different path.
If that's not enough, @lucy-268 and I will be working on a collaborative mini-series for lothario, neither of our headcanons, Tobias. It will be a fun, flirty, sexy, crack fic.
I will do the prompts and asks and little projects in between all of these. I find that they are great for keeping the creative juices going when I get stalled. But DON'T THINK I've forgotten them. I haven't! :)
