Introduction of Sorts + Interests

This page will really be for me to get back into writing, develop my writing and indulge myself. I’m open to requests though but ask people to definitely contextualize your Bias (person you’re requesting for—yes I’m gonna use K-pop lingo oh well) and/or the scenario cause otherwise I’d simply write for myself. Which is why I also am making this page because I’ve been on tumblr for 10 years (my main account turned ten this year) and I’m worn out of the smut fest no prose or story fics. Definitely has its place in the community but the older I get the more I need actual full blown delusion. I need scene, setting, set up, climax, denouement…and so I’ll fulfill the order myself. 🫡

*im gonna add that for Anime/Manga the double dipping means some combination of me knowing the material in both forms of media. Like Jujutsu Kaizen is an amazing example currently as of course the anime is ongoing but the manga is far ahead by a large portion of plot. **the long story short and overall caveat of why I’ve fallen out of love for groups and K-pop are the fact that yeah as a Black person I genuinely started getting pissed off with colorism, n-word usage, appropriation, and mockery. The shit gets old and as a poor old super fan I’m happy I didn’t spend the money people do for folks who would literally refuse my hand…🫤 be fr. Likewise, the deaths of idols who were literally my biases really (of course) bothered me and took a toll on my enjoyment of the genre too. The more you love it the more you learn and that’s usually where the fun ends and now it’s numbers charts and placements. Lame 😭. I let the time I was fan be that but otherwise ? Eh I’m good I’ll bop from time to time and catch the tea but my bread in my pocket (besides my B1A4 What’s Happening and Twice Scientist albums😂)((and the other old albums I’ll get before they disappear forever or get destroyed🫠))

i wanted to be as colorful as possible when i went to see them! this was actually my day 2 look (see day 1 below). currently, loona is honestly probs one of my ult girl groups of the 4th gen. idk how but i ended up falling in love with a LOT of their discography a little after their official debut. when i heard about their tour (and that chuu wasn’t going to be participating...) i KNEW i had to go. i didn’t want to chance not seeing my girls on their first, and possibly only, tour. i bought VIP and everything for BOTH nights i went....

Favorite Songs From Each Country! Part 26/37: Greece!

Yes, we all know that Greece and Cyprus are essentially best friends, giving each other 12 points almost ever time (and then they only give Cyprus 4 points this year? Crime.). But Greece had a killer top 10 streak that went from the 2000s into the 2010s, and a qualification streak that went on for a little bit longer than that. They dominated the 2000s, even boasting one of the most iconic winners in recent Eurovision history!

Favorite Entry: We don't have to go that far back to find my favorite Greek entry. Only bouncing back a year to Amanda Tenfjord's "Die Together" from 2022. I follow a lot of Eurovision YouTube channels to learn more about Eurovision since I'm so new, and considering where I live, my sources are a little more limited. One of the channels (Mr. Eurovision if you wanna look them up) has "Get To Know" videos on some of the artists announced before National Finals, doing their best to catch up when the Eurovision rush picks up. That's where I learned about Amanda's upcoming song being a breakup ballad. I love breakup ballads (what also helped was that I was also fresh off the release of "Red (Taylor's Version)"). And when the song came out, I was not disappointed and it shot right to the top! I still love the song, despite having listened to her album and "Die Together" ranking 4th there. But I think that's a good thing, because she could have sent my top 3 off the album and still have been my winner. *Needless to say, I'll be posting the "Die Together" Spotify link that connects to the album, def give it a listen. I feel it's underrated because it came out the same night as "Midnights" and even I overshadowed it.* RANK: 8th in 2022 Grand Final/PERSONAL RANK: 1st of 40 Countries

Thoughts on 2023 Entry: So, with 2022 being my winner, that would mean that Victor Vernicos and "What They Say" would be my host entry had I been in charge of Eurovision. And I FEEL LIKE SUCH AN A-HOLE about how I feel about this song. I forgot about it. And I feel horrible because his voice is excellent (which at 16? He's got a great career ahead of him). Also, I fell upon the lyrics to the song...and it being about having anxiety? It's incredibly relatable? And not in the "haha same" way? Luckily, I've interacted with this group of people who had the same winner as I did and "What They Say" gets a lot of love over there, along with some other songs that were kind of underrated in the contest. I think we talked about this last time - the Deanna and Max trajectory. They burn out in the first half of the season and here we are. Again. Now they have a non-existent point advantage over a team that has one of the highest BVs in the field, and 4CC is right around the corner, so not a lot of time to regroup. If they don't bring it tomorrow, the golden retrievers might just end up retrieving the gold this time around. And while I'd love that for them, it was tough to basically watch Deanna's dream slip away from her. She must've seen the chaos that was Euros and probably knows they could end up anywhere between 1st and 8th at Worlds, when they were starting the season with such immense hype - it must be aggravating. Canada has historically tended to get behind the more technical teams. However, I have to say, Deanna aggressively ignoring Julie in the K&C was the most iconic moment of this competition so far, I'm so beyond here for it. In fact, if she could actually drop both Josee and Julie, she'd def get a gold medal from me.

New costumes for Tria - they're a bit too simple for my taste but I prefer the color to the previous ones. Love the texture on Trennt's but the shoulder appliqué looks like it's just there so that there's something there. They're lucky that they both have a warm undertone so similar colors will suit them, but they really need to upgrade their designer for next year. The music change I kinda dig but I think they need to settle into this version a little bit more. I feel like they're trying to accomplish what Sandra did with Lindsay's short, which is not a bad person to be taking notes from. They really need to work on their skating skills, though. It sucks that they tend to lose the twist under pressure.

(Btw I'm bracing for the outcome of Isabeau's exhibition dress collab with that fetish gear designer next week, god help us. Who even connected those two? Although from the drawings it looks pretty vanilla and saccharine, so let's hope.)

If I were Deanna and Max, at this point I would skip 4CC and just stay home and train and prepare for Worlds, it would serve them much more. They need rest and a reset, and travelling all the way back to China a month before worlds is not good for them.

Lia and Trenn't twist really makes me sad, it can be good, but then all of a sudden it's clunky with a low full arm catch. They really need to get that better before worlds.

I have no idea that is happening with Isabeau and I wish I still didn't, what an array of words to be all next to each other. Truly wild.

hypmic boys and their charm point

this is just another rambling post courtesy of yours truly lol, simply me sharing my thoughts and hcs that I've cried about to my friend in informal fashion lmao. These are my thoughts about what the hypmic boys' charm points would be or what their fans in universe (im sure theyre treated as idols and have a large fanbase) would say is like their most attractive feature lol. Again, purely based on my thoughts and their physical traits that pop out to me the most so it's not written well at all lol; just a stream of my thoughts. But i decided to share these with the rest of the class. Put under the cut for length and also quite a bit of thirst maybe (nothing specific though)? lol beware!

Ichiro's charm point, in my eyes, are probably his muscles? lmao. Ofc, I think with all the buster bros, they're prob also their moles/beauty marks or heterochromic eyes, but for ichiro individually, it'd prob be his muscles. I mean, in the manga too or in official art, i feel like there's emphasis (well, not like emphasis emphasis or whatever lol) and they kinda just pop out to me, especially when he rolled up his sleeves in that one poster for the 1st round of the drb lmao. Can def see fans posting thirst tweets of him since he's pretty muscular too, but like same. Heart eyes galore

Jiro's i wanna say is his dorky/goofy smile, like the type where he just grins and rubs his nose. It's just so endearing and cute! I think he unconciously does it though but his fans find it rather adorable and go !!! each time he shoots that dorky grin haha.

Saburo's is prob his three moles/beauty marks since that's what pops out to me the most when i see him personally. Obvi hes still young and all but he could also be called like the young beauty or something? Idk if that makes any sense lol. Feel like he sees such comments saying how pretty the moles are and gets self conscious about them but not in like a bad way? More like how he knows people are seeing them maybe. so he prob tries to like discreetly hide it by turning his cheek or something which I'm sure the fans catch on to lol, which makes him more flustered

Samatoki's entire being is his charm point lmao. On a more serious note though, I'd say that his charm point is certainly his ruby eyes. They're one of the first things that stand out when I see him. His eyes are really captivating, especially with the way they're drawn sometimes, so I think it's his main charm point (i mean, let's be real, he's simply a charm lol). Can def see them being compared to like ruby gemstones or something like when they glimmer in the sunlight? or his fans fawning over them, especially when he glares. It becomes sorta iconic ig lol

Jyuto's charm point are prob his eyes or his devilish/cocky smirk he does I think. His eyes do have a unique color that stand out imo, so they could def be a contender. But i also think that his cocky smirk does become his charm point amongst his fans. Feel like whenever he shoots that smirk in battle or whatever his fans get more hyped since they know what's coming or just love that cocky attitude of his, as if he knows he's going to win

Rio's charm point was kinda hard for me to pinpoint since he's usually quite quiet or just doesnt speak much, but I think it'd prob also be his muscles maybe? Or maybe his hair idk (or freckles as a hc lol). But since he was part of the military and is rather fit, i feel like itd mostly be his muscles since i feel that theyre pretty hard to miss lol. Can def fawn over them since hes attractive too haha

Ramuda was also tricky for me because I personally don't see him as someone charming whatsoever lmao. Can't really think of anything besides maybe his unique hair and eye color? It's pretty, certainly, and his sky blue eyes are the first things that stand out to me, but idk lol. Prob his eyes and hair then since i feel like theyre the most unique out of the entire cast? I mean the ombre in his hair matched with his blue eyes are def eye candy. Guess his carefree and flirty persona could fit in too but not too sure. Don't really have anything to say about him

Gentaro is prob his face lmao. I mean, he's a pretty boy, that's what i think when i see him. He has a pretty face with the way his messy brown hair frames his face and his green eyes. Feel like he truly captures the essence of the word pretty lol. His nickname amongst his fans could be something like a prince or something like that since he's just pretty?? Def the visual of fp i feel like and has charming features. Don't know how else to describe it or what else to say honestly oops

Dice ahh it's for sure his tiny fang or that ear piece he always wears, though I'm leaning more towards his lone fang that sometime sticks out in the art lol. It's pretty for sure and captivating! Can def see thirst tweets about it too maybe idk. Honestly i see it and just go kakfkejakxks, a bit feral. I think that best describes it haha. That tiny fang just drives his fans crazy for sure

Jakurai ah jakurai. Was also hard to think of one but ill say it's prob his long fingers or like his tired smile?? I genuinely have no idea. Idk why his slender fingers were what popped out to me first lol, but feel like those are also his charm points and prob the subject of many, many thirst tweets (i can picture it now haha). They do have their own charm though certainly. And maybe his like smile because i think he also smiles with his eyes when he smiles but it also has a hint of fatigue which i can def sense in the pics. But i think its also very warm and reassuring and comforting, so his smile could also be his charm point. Feel like his fans feel much better and warmer when they see him smile, especially towards his teammates

Oh man, Hifumi's is most definitely his smile. Literally nothing else has to be said. His smile is so freaking warm and just !!! Gah, i see his smile and feel butterflies (well, metaphorically that is). Feel like everyone, fan or not, falls for him instantly when they see that large, warm grin of his. His fans def nickname him as the sun or the one that shines just as brightly. It's just so charming! And adorable!! Everyone fawns over it and loves to see him smile. I think it speaks for itself tbh. Am also gonna throw in his collarbone courtesy of my sis lol. She watched the anime and saw hifumi and told me that it was attractive when she saw that necklace and collarbone lmao. Can def picture it though, especially when he takes off his jacket or something lol

Doppo's charm point i feel like is more about his aggression? Like when he blows up in battle and goes berserk, from somewhat quiet and timid to just absolutely insane and rapping really quickly. Like his fans wait for that moment in battle, waiting for when he loses it and just goes off. It blows the entire area off guard but its so entertaining! And his fans always tell new watchers or whatever "its him you should keep an eye on" and they just eat it up lol. Def can see fancams or vids of it and doppo prob sees them and gets so embarrassed but is also lowkey happy on the inside haha

Feel like Kuko's charm point are also his feline-like smirk or his fangs or his like cocky laugh idk. I mean, those are what stand out to me the most and also what makes me go jskcjrjakxks all the time haha. Def feel his laugh in my soul lmao. But i think it's also attractive in a way as quirky (?) as it may seem, so it's his charm point. All hearts skip a beat when they hear that cocky laugh lol

Jyushi's is prob also his fingers i think. They stood out to me first, especially with his painted nails or how long and slender they seem. They're beautiful imo and i can also see many thirst tweets about it lol. Maybe he also gets hand modeling offers since hes also like a huge idol/figure? Idk lol. Dont think theres much else to say? Feel like his duality could also be his charm point, like how he changes from his normal self to his vkei persona. I think his normal relaxed self among his teammates become a thing that melts many hearts and just overall heartwarming haha

Ngl, i couldn't think of anything for Hitoya, as much as i truly love that man. Feel like it could also be his attitude somewhat, like how hes always so direct and could seem a little rude and standoffish? at first glance, but really, hes a bit of a sweetheart and truly cares for his teammates and is soft for them. Could def see compilation vids of him being soft towards his teammates and hitoya sees them and denies it or something haha. I think the fact that he hides this side of him or that its discreet is his main charm point maybe and is what many of his fans find to be heartwarming idk

Sasara's charm points are def his jokes and smile (specifically his eye smile maybe). I mean i feel like his jokes could be obvious? Especially his lame dad jokes and puns backstage. Very lighthearted and gives a good small smile or chuckle. But i think his main charm point would be his eye smile. Although we always see him with his eyes closed, i feel like when he genuinely smiles, you can also see him smile in his eyes? Idk if that makes sense but like personally, whenever i see him genuinely smile in the manga, i get the feeling too that hes smiling with his eyes as well even if they look the same on the outside? It's charming certainly

Rosho's was also difficult for me (ik so many of them are) but feel like it could be his sharp glare he naturally has without his glasses or maybe his like timid nature? Idk. Well, we know in canon that his timidness is found to be somewhat cute by others so that could be it maybe? But i feel like his glare could also be a charm point idk. Not much to say

Also not much to say about Rei lol. I personally dont find him charming too, so i really dont know haha. Hard to think of anything thats charming despite maybe his carefree attitude somewhat? Idk lol

Genshin impact guide - how to into artifacts

How to into artifacts and team set.

A guide by me for my kawaii @stupidneko and whoever is in need.

Okay, so, as a word of introduction before well start with this long ass post, I’ve never wrote anything like this so be patient with me.

ALSO ENGLISH IS NOT MY FIRST LANGUAGE SO SORRY IN ADVANCE FOR ANY MISTAKES

In my personal opinion artifacts are more important than the characters themselves, they can turn every 4* into a main dps (yes, even amber). 50% of your DMG will come from items, then the other 50% will come from weapon, talents and the character itself, but this is a story for another post.

First let’s take a look at what kind of artifacts do we have. Each and every character have 5 slots for artifacts:

Flower of life - or just flower, for short

Plume of death - feather

Sand of eon - time watch piece

Goblet of Eonothem - goblet

Circlet of Logos - head piece

Each of the pieces have two types of stats: main stats and sub stats. The first two pieces, flower and feather, always have the same main stat.

For flower it's HP

And for feather it's ATK

Then for the rest of them it can be anything, from good main stats like this:

(The following items have high stats because most of them are on max lvl)

... to less of a good stats, like this:

Goblets also are the only artifacts that has the possibility to have element DMG bonus as the main stats:

While head piece are the only artifacts that can have CRIT DMG and CRIT rate as a main stats:

... but they too can have less of a good stats like healing bonus or DEF.

Now, to the sub stats. They can vary from less appealing stats like HP, DEF and Elemental Mastery:

To a great stats like CRIT DMG, CRIT rate and ATK:

Unfortunately that's where the tricky part comes in. You cannot chose which substats the item will have. They will randomly appear. All that's left is to cry and pray.

But how do you get more stats on your item? That's simple, you need to level it up! We call it 'enhancing'. Depending on the rarity of your item( they vary from 1* (one start) to 5*(five stars) ) there are different max lvl cap. I'll mostly focus here on the 4* and 5* items. Max lvl cap for 4* is lv16 and for 5* is lv20.

Every artifact you'll get is always lv1. To enhance an artifact you'll need mora and another artifacts. The main stats will grow with each level, but the substats will update every 4th level (so for 5* item new substats will appear on 4th, 8th,12th, 16th and 20th level). Let's take this 5* feather: Bard's Arrow Feather

As all feathers it has ATK as a main stats and quite decent substats. You can enhance it by giving it other artifacts. You can also auto add artifacts of given level (1*, 2* or below, 3* or below and 4* or below)

Or you can chose items manually if you click on the gray '+' icon. Once you do it, there will be a list of artifacts you can use for enhancing. Only items that are not given to any characters will appear here.

Let’s enhance it up by one lvl (there’s limit of pic so I can’t show it ksmosjnwk). As I said, the main stats got better, but the substats didn't change because that was only the 1st level. So now let's enhance it to lv4. Once we choose enough artifacts to enhance it to lv4 we’ll see an information that one new substat will appear. (It doesn’t always have to be new substats. Sometimes the substats that the piece already have can get a boost).

Let's see what I'll get:

... Yea, I'm going to cry.

But for real now, that's how the artifacts work. Depending on your luck you can get a great items or a depression.

Usually people always aim for artifacts with ATK and CRIT as a both main and substats, but that all depend on you team composition.

But Akii, how do I chose good artifacts for my characters? How do I build my team?

I'm happy you asked. We can have up to 4 character in the team. Usually people aim for a team consisted of one main DPS, one healer and two supports, but ofc that all depends on your style of the game and your needs.

What is the most important in building your team and deciding on artifacts is the characters talents themselves. You absolutely have to check their talents and passives before giving them any artifacts, cause for some of them items with HP as a main stat could be actually good (like Barbara, since her role is only healing she doesn’t make more than 100 dmg on her normal attack but she heals a TONS).

Let's take my team for example, I’ll explain what their talents do and choose artifacts accordingly:

Razor as my main DPS

Qiqi as my healer

Xingqiu as my support

And Xiao that is none of the above but I just got him so I really wanna use him lmao

Usually I'd have Bennett in my team that would work as both healer and support, but yea, Xiao happen. Anyway, back to the topic

Since Razor is my main DPS I am focusing mostly on the DMG he can do. That's why when choosing artifacts for him I was aiming for the one with ATK/CRIT.

I do believe right now is a good moment to introduce artifacts sets. Each artifact has its own sets. There are plenty of sets to chose from. Now, the question is, does it matter from which set the item comes? Yes, it does.

Every set has all 5 types of artifacts to offer (a flower, feather, time watch piece, goblet and head piece). Depending on how many of the pieces from the same set you'll have you can get different stats. Let's take everyone's favorite Gladiator's Finale set. If you equip 2 pieces of Gladiator your get additional 18% of your base attack. IT'S A LOT!

But if you equip 4 pieces of Gladiator your normal attack (the single mouse tap, not the skills or the hold tap) will be increased by 35% IF your character has a sword, polearm or claymore (so it doesn't work on characters with books and bows, sorry Amber).

As I was saying, since my Razor is my main DPS and his role is to hit, not deal Electro DMG, I gave him 4 pieces of Gladiator's Finale just so he can have these additional 35%. But his head piece belongs to Wandener's Troupe. Why? Since every character can have 5 different artifacts, and the set's bonuses are only up to 4 pieces, the last one can belong to any other set. I chose Wandener's because it have CRIT rate as a main stats, so it's perfect for main DPS character. (The last piece doesn’t have to be the head piece, it can be any of the other 4 pieces).

You can check the character stats and the difference in the artifacts by going to your character menu and then clicking on the ‘details’.

For example here are my Xiao stats calculated with all the artifacts he has right now on him:

And here I have my Xiao without any artifacts and with 1* weapon:

DO YOU SEE THE HUUUGE DIFFERENCE?

Next we have Qiqi, my healer. One would think that, if she's a healer, then it would be good to have a set that is designed for healers on her, right? Wrong.

Let's take a look on Qiqi elemental skill (You can check your character skills by clicking on ‘talents’ in the character menu):

When Qiqi hits a target with her Normal or Charged Attacks, she regenerates HP for all party members and all nearby allied characters. Healing scales based on Qiqi's ATK. Regenerates HP for current character at regular intervals. Follows the character around, dealing Cryo DMG to enemies in its path.

It's says that the heals she gives is based on her overall ATK. Which means the more ATK she has the better her heals are. That's why, in my personal opinion, it's better to focus on raising her ATK and energy recharge. Ofc, there's nothing wrong in having for example 2 pieces of Maiden Beloved (set's name designed for healers, 2-Piece Bonus: Character Healing Effectiveness +15%) on her. If those pieces main stats will be ATK then this will work amazing, but unfortunately I don't have any artifacts like this.

Next are supports, Bennett and Xingqiu. Since their role is not dealing DMG, but more of a supporting you can give them sets of a 2 pieces. Let's take a look at their elemental burst:

Bennett:

if the health of a character in the circle is equal to or falls below 70%, their health will continuously regenerate. Regeneration scales based on Bennett's Max HP. If the health of a character in the circle is higher than 70%, they gain an ATK Bonus that is based on Bennett's Base ATK. Applies the Pyro element to characters within the Field.

Basically you just ult and switch to your DPS (or whoever you want honestly). If the character you switched to (or Bennett himself, his ult works on him too) HP is below 70%, they will receive heals. If their HP is above 70%, the incoming healing with cease and they will get attack bonus based on Bennet BASE ATK (only when you have him c0, so with no constellations. On c1 (his first constellation is unlocked) there is no HP restriction, so his ult buffs the attack no matter of your character current health). So it’s not the same case as Qiqis. Base attack is the base amount the character have with weapon equipped but without any artifacts on, so the only way to rise base ATK is to maximize character level and to give them weapon with high amount of attack. Then we should focus on giving him as much of an energy recharge as we can so he can load his ult faster. Then it’s up to you whether you wanna make is a healer or side DPS. In healer case you should focus on rising his HP amount by giving him artifacts with that stats and substats cause, on the contrary to Qiqi, the heals he gives are based on his own max HP, not his ATK. In side DPS case you can focus on the overall dmg he makes.

Now let's take a look on my Xiao. His role is a dps, just like Razor. So one would think that it would be the best to max physical DMG on Xiao too, right? Wrong.

Let's take a look on Xiao's elemental skill and Elemental burts:

Skill:

Xiao lunges forward, dealing Anemo DMG to opponents in his path.

Burst:

Greatly increases Xiao's jumping ability. Increases his attack AoE and attack DMG. Converts attack DMG into Anemo DMG, which cannot be overriden by any other elemental infusion. In this state, Xiao will continuously lose HP. The effects of this skill end when Xiao leaves the field.

Both of them covert the DMG into Anemo DMG. Which mean that no matter the physical DMG bonus, if he doesn't have any Anemo DMG he won't be as useful as he could be. That why my Xiao has 2 pieces of Gladiator and 2 pieces of Viridescent Venerer that gives him +15% of Anemo DMG bonus. (y’all have no idea how long it took me to write this thing correctly lmao)

As the last piece i used Wandener's head piece again to give him that additional CRIT rate. (yes, his Anemo DMG can be scaled with CRIT rate, too). Ofc my Xiao still lacks a lot of power we can see on some videos on yt.

Okay Akii, I understand how does the artifacts works and what to which to chose when thinking about the character role, but how do I actually get the artifacts?

That's actually the hardest part. You can get them from domains. Each domain have two sets of artifacts at the same time, which means depending on your luck you'll get the artifacts from the set you want or the artifacts you don't want BUT can use for enhancing later on! Gladiator's and Wandener's don't have its own domain, but can be achieved by fighting bosses like cubes or regisvines and from weekly bosses like Dvalin, Andrius and Childe.

Now that you know everything you need to know about artifacts you can go and start doing the domains...

only to waste all of your resins and get tons of shit artifacts with DEF as a main stats and then start crying after your one good artifact with ATK as a main stat and CRIT as a substat gets shits like HP, DEF and more HP after enhancing. Have fun <3

Revolving Realm of Sin Event

A new 2-week long event that coincides with the release of SP Menreiki. It's a relatively simple event that consists of 2 main parts; tower climbing and a draft duel type activity. The former only lasts for 1 week, while the latter lasts for 2 weeks

Tower Climbing

(sorry, don't know how to translate the name of this so it's just gonna be called Tower Climbing here)

Defeat Menreiki bosses and unlock some server rewards. Costs 1 event AP to do or 5 AP to do with no event currency drops, it's solo only, there's no time limit and can be done on auto. When entering this part for the first time, can pick your preferred drop type (evo, gold, EXP or souls) and can also pick a support shiki. Drops are pretty much the same in all the stages and between stages 5-10 there's only a difference of 4000 for event currency (s5 gives ~4000, s10 gives ~9000). The support shiki feature lets you borrow another person's shiki, however, the selection you can choose from is random. When a support shiki gets borrowed a lot, the owner of said shiki will get some rewards. Only people with 16 or more 6* shiki can put one up for borrowing.

Every time you defeat a boss within 10 turns a new stage will be unlocked, there are a total of 10 stages of increasing difficulty. Also after defeating a boss you may notice a bar on the left side of the screen. Depending on whether you can defeat bosses in more/less than 10 turns, you'll move faster/slower up the bar. If you move fast you'll out run Menreiki, if you move too slow she catch you. There doesn't seem to be any benefit or penalty to this.

There are some entire server rewards that include; some gold, 100 AP, 30 mochi, 4* white daruma, 50 gold orochi scales, a SP Menreiki chat sticker, special realm card and 1 blue summon ticket. Rewards are unlocked by getting a shadowy eye item from defeating bosses, can get an amount equal to the stage difficulty (s10 gives 10 eyes).

Buffs

Before challenging the boss, you may notice a mask icon for some buffs. The masks can be obtained by defeating bosses or by buying them from the exchange shop, max you can get is 100. The buff effects are;

10: Ally with the highest crit DMG has a 60% to gain another turn with reduced onibi cost for skills.

30: Increases ATK by 1500 and crit by 15%, excess crit will be converted into crit DMG.

50: After an ally moves, have a 100% chance to get 2 onibi.

70: Single target (and random target) damage also deals 15% splash damage.

100: Increases damage dealt in the 1st 3 turns by 30%/20%/11%.

The masks also provide 1% ATK and 1% DEF buffs per 1 mask. It caps out at 100%.

Courtyard of Reincarnation

dThis is a fun draft duel type activity where you make your way through randomly generated stages. Requires 1 key to play through 1 stage, when you have no keys can use 20 AP instead but you won't get any event currency. Before starting, you must pick 7 shiki to use in your current playthrough. In each stage, you must make your way through various branching rooms that all lead to the Menreiki boss at the end. There are 4 room types;

Boss: Fight against a random drafted team. Upon winning you will be presented with 3 choices; take 1 of the enemy team's shiki, receive extra exclusive currency or take the enemy's buff.

Elite Boss/End Boss: Same as regular bosses but with a boss Menreiki.

Random Encounter: Will be given a random offer that you can take or decline. Offers include; replace 1 of your shiki with ? shiki, take a ? buff, take a ? summonable shiki or evo a shiki.

Shop: Can purchase items from a random selection with the Courtyard's unique currency. Every shop has 5 shiki, 3 buffs, 1 summonable shiki, "evo a shiki" option and a revive item.

After clearing a stage you will be presented with 3 choices; continue (requires 1 key or 20 AP), take a break or quit (progress will be reset). With every stage cleared, the enemy stats will be gradually increased. If you get defeated by a boss and have no revives, your current playthrough will end and your progress will be reset.

When it comes to picking shiki for your draft team, it's important to pay attention to their passive marks. Every shiki has 2 passive marks, when your team has 2 or more of the same mark, the passive effects for it will be unlocked. It's best to make a team with 5 of the same mark.

The best teams on CN test server were the Kinnara + Peach&Karashi team, SP Ubu team and full 5 N frog teams. In the later stages, a reviver shiki may become necessary.

Far and Wide Corridors

This is an Ibuki/Talisman Pass type thing. There are 2 sets of rewards, top row is F2P and bottom row is P2W. The cost to unlock the bottom row is 68 s-jade (CN price). Rewards are unlocked by getting EXP from the tower climbing and Courtyard of Reincarnation, need a total of 700 EXP to unlock everything. A max of 100 EXP from tower climbing and 60 EXP from the Courtyard can be farmed every day. The EXP is not a drop so you need to check this part of the event to see how much you have.

Rewards for the top row include; gold, 100 AP, gold orochi scales, 2 3* pamphlets, 2 black daruma shards, 4* white daruma and an animated icon frame. Rewards for the bottom row include; a bunch of event AP, 500 AP, 100 demon souls, 2 5* EXP pamphlets, 10 black daruma shards, 5* white daruma and a new realm skin.

It is not possible to get the new realm skin without spending money.

Exchange Shop

The exchange shop has 3 tabs. The first 1 is unlocked by default, while the 2nd and 3rd tabs become unlocked after accumulating a total of 1-2 mill event currency. The most notable items are:

Tab 1: an animated icon frame, a loading screen illust (same as the one in the prelude event), 2 SP Menreiki chat stickers, 1 blue summon ticket, 3* white daruma, a bunch of items for the event that refresh daily.

Tab 2: a new loading screen illust, 2 SP Menreiki chat stickers,1 blue summon ticket, 6* transfer ticket, 4* white daruma, 50 jade.

Tab 3: random SSR/SP, a black daruma, new Hakuzousu skin, new loading screen illust, 2 SP Menreiki chat stickers, 5* white daruma, 50 jade, shiki shard event pack, guaranteed 6* soul event pack, daruma/AP event pack and a realm card/jade event pack.

Each event pack can be bought a max of 200 times.

If you want to farm for a lot of event currency, you will need to buy the event AP for the tower climbing and farm that during the week it is available. Although you can get event currency from the draft duel Courtyard, it's not optimal for farming due to be being really slow and having no auto.

Recommended Teams

Tower Climbing

The first 3 teams require targeting, while the last 2 teams are full auto. Minimum SPD to move before enemies is 124.

Note for beginners: on test server, the moment you cleared a stage with a support shiki, they were automatically removed from your team. In other words, support shiki could not be used to farm this part of the event.

Yeah, the clips helped a lot, i knew about the 1st one! The second one i forgot about tho!

Tho if im correct its a clip From the exile stream either from just after the walls were torn down! By Fundy on Wilbur's eyes... just after he was exiled, shot and killed. Mans feelings were def not sorted and out of wack.

Considering next time he saw fundy he did call him son again and said esp to keep him alive! (Wilbur next stream i belive. Fundy was rebuilding the flag after burning it down)

Tho it does show an interesting tendency of c!Wilbur's i think! Bc the "he's dead to me" bit def feels like.. the stuff he said around the red festival? Saying "i dont care we could kill them all/they mean nothing to me" before directly contradicting himself with his acual actions.

I dunno its interesting tho!

Also. Yeah the soot-craft family drama is picking up again on both of the sons sides and hoo boy.

On Wilbur side we hear him saying he doesnt agree with Phil on his ideals Which oh boy is gonna be great! I have been waiting for someone to challenge the syndicate members verbally! Please they need someone to challenge their world view! Its gonna be super interesting to watch that!

On Fundy's side Aww man. He's been genuienly trying to be better! He reconnected with Phil, while showing some regret for doomsday, and is generally trying to be more healthy, but also is walking into a lion's den and looking past the red flags, the Las Nevadas contract obv but also stuff like Quackity trying to weaponize his prophetic dreams.

And aww man Quackity trying to imply Wilbur said something bad about fundy twisted the knife a little bit deeper into my heart. Man. While Wilbur only ever mentioned he wasn't exactly ready to face some ppl yet or want shure if they would even want to see him.

I really hope thus doesnt turn into ah "I don't think wilbur wants to talk to me" and "i don't think fundy wants to talk to me" with them just... avoiding eachother.

But yeah it seems like the reunion is coming and man. There will be tears.

Yes, that second clip is after they see Fundy tearing down the L'Manbergian walls, I can tell from a mile away because of the beanie Wilbur is wearing, he put that on after he and Tommy lost the Election.

So, from his view, in that moment, he said that, but after sitting down on it for a bit, he may have changed his mind. It definitely reads like him saying that to protect himself emotionally in the moment, something akin to "if he's dead, he can't hurt me, he can't be used by others to hurt me".

Family drama wooooo!

Also, yeah I have a feeling my dude Fundy is gonna lose another life soon. Here is why: the first dream stream showed that Fundy is gonna be approached by someone who seems like a friend but they'll bring him nothing but bad business, basically, he should avoid them at all costs. This happened, it's clearly Quackity. And, at the end of the dream, Fundy got chased by a black figure, and he got caught before he could fully fall asleep. Many interpret this as a death omen.

Now, Quackity made Fundy sign that contract. It mentioned death as a punishment for a crime. Quackity also mentioned Fundy's past, in terms of his military experience, but the most iconic thing about Fundy, especially in his time with Schlatt, which Quackity also mentions a lot

Is the fact that he was a double agent for Pogtopia, in secret.

We know Wilbur set up shop on the other bank of the river, and Quackity may want to go to war with Snowchester. Fundy, if he and Wilbur try to make amends, may try to help Wilbur out, and this can't fare well if Quackity finds out. Afterall, it would be a situation eerily similar to the Manberg Festival.

I am curious how this will go, because I don't think Quackity will be too keen on Fundy reconnecting to Wilbur, peace or not, because he targeted lonely people, and if Fundy reconnects with Wilbur and potentially the other 2 Founders, it can spell him leaving the place. Let's not even mention that Wilbur is his main rival and competition right now. Having his son on his side would probably be a nagging low blow for Wilbur.

So, not only will tissues be mandatory for the reunion, but if the warning signs I spotted are true... Yeah, keep them on hand for all of this arc lol.

OK so the Absolvisti sequel's been sitting in my head since well, the week after I published it lmao. But I never got around to writing because I wasn't sure if it was being too self-indulgent (I'm feeling more confident about it now that I know you'll be pleased by it!). Also because I was having trouble deciding on a pov: should I continue with the Tatiana 1st person pov as always? Change it up to Martin 3rd person? or surprise: 1st person Don Juan?? Should it be a new chapter or new fic? (def. open to suggestions here!) Also I think it'd be Iconic to publish a story in the Dies Irae universe with our new cat profile pics.

Graphic detail time :D Prepare for a SUPER LONG answer LMAO. Most of the things I mentioned here and here will make their way in, with maybe a bonus ns/fw chapter from Martin or Andres' pov. The main story is SFW however, and there's like a hilariously high amount of hurt!Andres, who doesn't have demons to rely on anymore but still carries all the permanent damage the demons left on him:

It takes place some months after Absolvisti so Andres is doing better, but not fully well yet. He's not actively dying anymore but he does faint a lot and isn't exactly making a full recovery. Because I wanted to make things harder for Martin. Because he's not a young man anymore, the wounds were super extensive, and this is the result of years of accumulated damage + a form of "withdrawal" (the shadows/demons that used to feed on him were also the things that kept him alive so it's one big cycle that his body isn't leaving that easily).

This means every time Martin plans something nice for him like seeing a play or going out for a nightly walk, Andres can't go through the whole thing without feeling unwell. (Martin: "I over-exerted the love of my life. I am so SELFISH. what does Andres see in me??" Andres: "I disappointed the love of my life. I am the WEAKEST. what does Martin see in me??" Tatiana: feed me, bitches)

They manage to sit through one play though (not sure if I want this at the beginning or end of the fic LMAO). It's the one Bogota wrote, The Necromancer's Lament, a "biopic" about Andres' life. And it's every bit as terrible as Martin expected. Bad special effects, bad acting especially from Martin's actor, Andres' actor has a beard, and Tatiana looks like this:

Andres thinks it's the best play ever. Martin hates it and demands a refund. Tatiana hates it too but Don Juan's like, "mi amor, you are still beautiful to me, even as a deformed puppet."

Martin's 120-page complaints aside, Bogota runs the theatre troupe with his partner, Nairobi/Agata, and they're both going to start teaching performing arts at Santa Catalina because the last drama professor died lmao

Meanwhile, Santa Catalina has a new bad girl student, Tokyo/Silene! Sergio took her in as a charity case after some dark and mysterious events in her life. But Tokyo being Tokyo can't stay away from trouble, and she becomes obsessed with finding the demons that Andres expelled. Some bizarre possessions start happening again and the school's sponsors force Raquel to keep it under wraps. (Raquel: maybe if you increased funding, we wouldn't have so many problems!!)

In the meantime, Martin gets that letter from a long lost relative asking to meet him. Not sure about the order of this either. Anyway, Martin was planning to ignore the relative, but Andres insists he go. Either Tatiana or Don Juan accompany him. Martin learns that he's the sole heir of his dead parents across the sea (the will: “we forgive you for being a heretic, a freak of nature, and the alchemist of Palermo. also no hard feelings for leaving you to die as a baby xoxoxo”). There's one (1) condition though: he has to end his partnership with the necromancer. Martin: NO THANKS.

So while Martin's dealing with this unexpected drama, Sergio decides to call in Andres' expertise TM again because it's also a good excuse to talk to his brother. Martin is Very wary about this and rejects him. But Andres insists that it'll be fine. Plus, maybe he wants to turn a new leaf and help Santa Catalina for nothing in return this time. Not everyone gets a second chance at life and he doesn't want to be a bad person anymore uwu (Tatiana: "Andres was a pretentious piece of shit, surprising no one." Martin: "Nobody deserves Andres, not even me, and I'm like, the most amazing person in the world.")

Andres comes to do the exorcism with the random priest the school hired. And they discover there aren't any demons- it's just some ghost fucking around (maybe I'll make it the spirit of Gandia or Alicia since they haven't shown up yet lol). Anyway, it doesn't go very well but Andres gets rid of the creature or whatever. Not before it punctures a hole in his side though. Then Martin loses it, just full-on screams at Sergio for almost getting Andres killed again, makes a lot of threats against the school, etc. etc.

Raquel, being more useful, plugs up the wound. But the priest accidentally provokes Martin more by asking Raquel if he should mop up Andres' blood with holy water or something. What if the necromancer's blood is cursed?? And now it's all over the floor, so disgusting :/

Martin, already in a very bad mood, beats the priest up.

They go home. Martin's in a really sour mood and he just doesn't understand why Andres isn't mad at Sergio. Martin: "It's really emotionally damaging to me if you don't give a fuck about yourself." Andres makes him even angrier by bringing up the Berrote family will and having the audacity to suggest Martin leave him for money. He makes a huge case about how he literally has nothing to offer Martin except a body that barely works and a terrible reputation. Martin: "I lost a fucking eye for you??"

They fight and Martin storms away, and also kidnaps Don Juan, his honorary new soulmate who would never betray him like Andres.

A while after this, the Spanish Inquisition local clergy arrests Andres for "questioning." Because the shenanigans at Santa Catalina are still going on and that one priest suspects him of being behind everything just because. Raquel's the one who bails him out. She may not like Sergio's brother, but the way everyone else treats him is ridiculous.

Andres limps home, hoping Martin's still away. Surprise! Martin felt guilty and came back. And it's pretty obvious that Andres has just been tortured. Martin: "Say no more. I'm going to kill some people."

Andres gets Martin to not do anything stupid by dropping the thing with the will. He admits he was wrong for saying those things to Martin and he selfishly, genuinely wants to stay with Martin forever. Martin: "I'm still going to kill your brother. You may appease me with a kiss."

Does it end here? No! Because the shit at Santa Catalina is still happening. Andres and Martin solve it for good though. But it's all very dramatic. I'm vaguest about this part, but maybe Nairobi's injured saving Tokyo, and this gives Tokyo the wakeup call to move on from whatever baggage that got her into this mess in the first place. Then Andres' solution for saving Nairobi is to ask Martin to work that alchemist magic and transfer her wounds onto himself (at this point, we're just going overboard with the Andres whump but asdfasdf why stop??). Raquel: Sergio, tell your brother to stop dying. That's a bad example for the kids.

It takes a lot of convincing, but Martin relents in the end, only because he trusts Andres. At this point, Andres has been through so much that he physically cannot take any more damage. Like, he just can't lmao. So the whole process puts Andres into a coma or something. But we don't need him anymore because now we can revel in Martin's angst!

Martin spends the rest of his time crying and angsting and guilt-tripping Sergio, and just being very loud in general. He also writes back to his family and tells them to fuck off.

Once we indulge in enough of Martin's pain, Andres finally wakes up. Still very bad off but he's alive and not showing signs of dying any time soon. So that's good enough for Martin. They have a nice heart-to-heart, and idk, maybe Raquel comes to see them because Sergio's too embarrassed to. Until Andres insists, because he loves hermanito unconditionally uwu. Martin: "watch your back, Sergio. I might murder you in your sleep (:"

Then at the very end (I have no idea how long this story is LOL), there's some kind of family photoshoot between Raquel, Sergio, and Paula. Everyone's raving over this new invention called the "camera." Andres is admiring it from a distance until Raquel's like, "get over here. what part of FAMILY photoshoot do you not understand!?"

Andres is shocked pikachu face because good will towards him for once?? he's being included in something?? people want him around?? what is happening??

Martin's happy for him though. Then he's admiring from a distance until Raquel's like, "I said FAMILY photoshoot. Get over here, Martin!"

Tatiana didn't want to be a part of it, but Paula saw her favorite talking cat and like, grabbed her lmao. Don Juan photobombs it because he can't be excluded from an activity with Tatiana, especially when his former rival Andres is in the photo too. (His current rival is Casanova, an unworthy white cat vying for Tatiana's affections)

Sergio proposes to Raquel. The end! Yes, the kitty love triangle is also a central theme of this story LMAO Hope that satisfies you, nharidy! And I welcome any and all suggestions!

oh man i dont know.. that 03 ed is a good character? 03 ed and BH ed both start from the manga and BH stays on track w the manga mostly but 03 ed deviates a lot and i dont agree w ppl saying that that makes him a ‘worse’ character than manga/BH ed inherently. taking his character in a dif direction subtly at first but making that gap wider the further the story goes to ultimately get to a dif place is cool! i like that 03 really did its own thing i respect that. i like that 03 ed rly did start out at the same place but his experiences were different than manga ed so he had to make different choices and his character changed from that.

Movie Monday - Apr 27th, 2020

"Best Movie Montage"

Rocky (1976):

The Montage is a series of Fast/Short Clips and Cuts of Imagery Pieced Together which Convey Passing of Time or a Journey in a Compacted Story - Basically a Mini Movie in a Movie.

Choosing Rocky seems corny in a way but its The Godfather of the Montage...What's that... The actual movie The Godfather has a montage (The Baptism Montage) and the movie came out 4 years prior to Rocky....Well...if the Rocky Training Montage wasn't PG it probably put Horse's Head in The Godfather's Baptism Montage's Holy Water...Get the Message...

Anywhosel... to Become the Best Movie Montage you have to check the boxes:

EVOKE EMOTION:

The montage needs to make you feel something. A great contender is the Married Life montage in Pixar's Up - It's okay... this is a safe place... you can admit you got dust in your eyes while watching the montage.

Now Rocky is not so much of a tearjerker, but it does get you effing jacked - like seeing a ninja jump across rooftops. As an avid couch potato I don't know how many times I turned to the Rocky Montage to get myself motivated... I watch it the First Day of the New Year when I want to lose that stubborn Holiday Weight (plus all the other weight accumulated from the previous years)... Psyching myself up for a Final Exam, or even Heading DT with the Bros to pound Jag Bombs.

USES MUSIC EFFECTIVELY:

There is nothing better than the Perfect, Beat, Tune, or Song to Pair with Cut Imagery.

Britney Spears' song "Everytime" in Spring Breakers takes the movie Full Tilt making the Hardest of Ballers join in singing to the Ballad... (Spring Breakers Def' My 1st Runner Up for Best Movie Montage BTW)

Just thinking of Rocky it's hard not to hear the Horns of the Instumental Score which carries Rocco through the streets of Philly right up those flights of steps and just think the relatively unknowkn Compser, Bill Conti, worked for basically nickles to compse this hit in 3 HOURS!

There's no doubt you hummed Conti's tune on your morning jogs...oh, you're a couch potato too... but you looked at other runners and heard the tune, right? Yeah, me too, Cool. Cool. Cool Cool. Cool

APPROPRIATE LENGTH:

The montage is meant to tell a story in a short period of time - A Mini Movie which holds our attention and does not derail from the story.

Rocky IV's (Rocky vs Drago for the Uninitiated) is 30% Montage, truly, .... Now, dont get me wrong, the training sequence is pretty dope, but tad drawn out.

Now, the OG Rocky comes in at 2mins 43secs - just 13 seconds longer than the average Movie Trailer. Short, Sweaty, and to the Point.

Appropriate Length: ✔

Lastly...

ICON STATUS:

The Rocky Training all by itself Quenches your Thirst and is Arguably one of the Best Moments of the Entire Film.

And Undoubtedly the Rocky Montage has birthed an Unwieldy Number of Parodys and Knock Offs not to mention it's the Formula Cornerstone for the Rocky Franchise-- The Backstory of Shooting the Montage alone is a Hero's Journey all its own (Doc Clip at the End).

The Training Sequence was shot mostly Guerilla Style with No Filming Permits thus capturing authentic interactions and bemusement of the public.

During the running/sprint scene along the waterfront they had Stallone jump out of Van and told him to Run for his Life. Crew in the Van filming declared they actually had difficulty keeping up with Sly.

And How could you forget the Philadelphia Art Museum's Steps now most commonly referred to as The Rocky Steps. The 72 Step Journey helped established the Steadicam in the Film Industry and Created a Tourist HotSpot - Stallone's Converse Footprints are embedded at the top of the steps so you too can thrust your arms in the air triumphantly... while 1000 other Tourists watch and await their turn.

Kasumi/Hamuko Parallel post

I mean I’m not saying Kasumi is Hamuko reincarnated in Minato’s timeline, but I feel like it’s a very good possibility (considering MT’s lore and as well as possibly Persona’s). I mean again, it’d be REALLY SEXY if I was proven wrong with Adult!Hamuko showing up in P5S! REALLY SEXY ATLUS! ;w; (just watch and see me be right with both P5R and P5S, let’s hope not cause that’s giving me a headache just thinking about it haha ;w;). Anyway, this is mostly going to be a parallel post between Kasumi and Hamuko, both really freaking shallow to “hey those are some key character traits!” kinda stuff. I’ll organize it from newest release/info to oldest. So starting with PQ2 (prior to that I will open to why it’s perfect timing out of universe) and then P3P (during which I’ll talk about why the timing in universe is perfect too).

There will be spoilers of P5R BUT ONLY ones from a stream, which showed the first like 10 min of the game (the spoiler is that it confirms when a specific scene happens in game). There will be PQ2 spoilers tho so like....yeah 8U

(lowkey been trying to finish this since Cinderella’s announcement but better late than never and I wanted to at least get most of it done before P5S’ possible trailer tonight 8U)

Under the cut cause length and pics~!

So before with start with PQ2, I should say why this is perfect timing out of universe. PQ2 has just released, Hamuko is in the public’s head. Not only that but she was as important to the game as the main-main case (aka P5). Now would be the perfect time to release a new character who looks the same and has the same importance. I mean this wouldn’t be the first time they did it, they first did it with Arena-PQ1-Ultimax, with PQ1 having secret answers to Arena, and Ultimax later reaffirming these answers (I’ll keep it vague for those who have yet to play the, as I like to call it, “The Yasogami Labyrinth Trilogy.”) It could be that PQ2 was actually our Arena in a possible trilogy (with P5R being the PQ1 and P5S being our Ultimax, that’s just a theory tho, it could just be that this is a duology too 8U). But yeah this is why it feels like perfect timing if they wanted to make this twist. Now onto PQ2

PQ2 (might add more later):

Were to start is the real question, I’m kinda just going to list of things with pictures showing them. I’ll try to keep everything numbered to make it easier.

1) Both apparently first appear in the first arc which stars Kamoshida (Kasumi is stated to not introduce herself during that time, but we can still find her). Kasumi is around for Kamoshida, Hamuko is around with Kamoshidaaaaaman.

a) Coincidentally enough, there is a little girl that appears in Kamoshidaaaaman’s trailer that looks A LOT like Kasumi. (which I dunno might also symbolize Hamuko, speculation on my end but I felt the female dinosaur kind of symbolized Yosukesaurus that we actually see in the movie so maybe it’s a parallel maybe not but I wanted to throw it out there), also if Kasumi’s life is anything like Cinderella (and trailer girl’s dad is dead from that impact), that means Hamu/Kasumi/Trailer girl both have their dads possibly not being around anymore:

2) Both technically have a magical girl connection, Kasumi mostly from her transformation and what the devs said....but Hamuko said something really interesting concerning the PT and Magical Girls:

3) (P5R first 10 min stream spoiler) Both are introduced into these two games via showing off how great fighters they are (even tho that’s not Kasumi’s chronological introduction to the audience because of the cold open, but it’s the first time we see her and it’s our first impression of her).

4) I don’t care if I’ll repeat this below in the P3P thing, but yet again but PQ2 hinted at Hamuko’s big appitite again:

5) Hamuko’s Ult Persona, both in P3P (tho it’s not shown in the credits) and in PQ2 is Messiah. Considering she’s a savior, and Kasumi’s relationship with magical girls (who usually are the “saviors”).....shallow I know but there. 8U

6) A big one, PQ2 actually hints at reincarnation, it’s just a throwaway line but....it’s not the first time Persona’s had a throwaway line and then it ends up coming true (sometimes it’s happenstance and sometimes it’s on purpose). (I should also note, reincarnation is a big part of MT, it’s even in the title, so it’s def not something that’s off the table). And the reason I’m including this is because, it kinda hints that even if Hamuko is reincarnated Kasumi, they’d kinda still have their own identity and be a different person.

7) Lastly (for now probably), Hamuko and Kasumi both end up “joining”/working with the PT at some point. I mean so does the rest of P3/4, but they really try to make Hamuko feel included, and she feels extra gung-ho about the whole thief thing. It’s a shallow/small one but I should include it anyway.

(the reason I might add more later is because I’m re-going through PQ2 to see if I pick up anything else, anyway onto P3P~!)

P3P:

Before listing their similarities, I want to explain what I meant by the timing being perfect for in-universe. The reason being, if Hamuko died around 1999, she’d probably be reincarnated into someone who was born around 2000, and people roughly in 2000 (minus the first 4 months) are....guess what? 1st years during P5 (Futaba and Yusuke have late birthdays fun fact). And considering Kasumi is a first year~! Yeah it’s perfect timing if they wanted to pull a reincarnation card.

1) They.....they have the same face..... I’M NOT JOKING THEY HAVE THE SAME FACE! It’s not the hair style it’s the face man! ;w; Rough same eye shape and face shape (sadly their portraits usually have their faces not being the same portfolio but this is the closest we have):

2) The both have red eyes (which also look brown in some lighting). (I know some people want to say Hamuko has auburn hair for some gd reason even tho it’s pretty brown in a lot of artwork, but since that’s close to red and Kasumi has red hair like bonus points it seems if auburn is also a correct answer XP)

3) Both of their portraits like to have their eyes looking to the left (their perspective)/right (our perspective) area (the angle of their face differs tho):

4) Both have been said to be big eaters. Like Atlus is freaking advertising this about Kasumi like crazy man, but Hamuko has food and her big appetite tied to a loooooot of different events with P3P. Like Hamu being a hungry girl and loving her food is a very iconic trait to her (ironically it’s not really done to death in PQ2 unlike Chie’s meat or Aki’s protein klfjsadl;fja).

5) Both have red as a main theme (like red eyes, red ribbon, red shoes/headphones 8U). It’s shallow but important!

6) Shallow but interesting thing I notice, there’s a lot of key design similarities between Fem!Orpheus and Kasumi’s PT outfit and Cinderella. The biggest being the vine embroidery and the same heart design. There’s also the fact Fem!Orpheus Picaro also has red hair and a black headpiece similar to Kasumi who has red hair (all the time) but a black ribbon, also both have a similar flower connected to them (red gloves and black fingers, former for Kasumi and the latter for Cindy, but I don’t think it’s as important as the heart/vine/flower similarity). 8U Other than that I’ll just show it in the picture below:

7) This one is part of a popular theory with Kasumi, and will possibly be debunked after P5R’s release but I do want to throw it out there. If the theory that Kasumi gets hit by a car in the rain (possibly during the fireworks festival), well..... That means they both have ties to car accidents. Just described what might be Kasumi’s. Hamuko survived one 10 years prior to P3, and there’s two that happen in two separate events (she saves Yukari from a crazy driver almost hitting them), and I iirc Theo saves Hamu from a crazy driver).

8) They have similar designed shoes (tho the promo art of Kasumi her shoes are different from the teaser so I dunno if it still counts) But it’s worth mentioning since Atlus went out of their way to keep Yusuke’s shoes as a reference to the past Persona game school he was supposed to be a part of before they made Kosei (god I’m so sorry for that word salad, no I won’t fix it at least not now)...btw Yusuke’s are stated to be in reference to P3 it’s stated in the art book:

9) Kasumi’s maid outfit is much closer to P3′s(and P4) than it is to P5′s (aka the traditional black and white as opposed to P5′s red and white), it’s just odd that it’s not also red 8U:

10) Uhhhh this (I don’t care we’re look for the smallest details! >:D DX ;w; also I’m ok really I’m ok 8U ;w; orz):

11) Last thing, but interestingly enough they both are known to jump really high. It’s not stated as a big thing for Hamuko, you just see it in her critical and that’s pretty much it. But it is a big defining moment for Kasumi (remember she jumps high to get a kid’s balloon). They also both like to twist and twirl in the air (tho Hamu is just designated to her critical). Shallow I know but I want to throw it out there. 8U:

I might add more to this section, because I feel like I’m forgetting something but flksdajf;akf I want to get this out. Before I end it I do want to add a few not completely related Hamu parallels (but I can still loop back around cause my mental gymnastics are top notch! Probably even better than Kasumi’s! 8U). First is Minato parallels, which via PQ2 we find out that he and Hamu are “basically the same person.” The similarities is that he and Kasumi both have the same type of sword, and both of their Personas have the same skin (I think Male!Orpheus’ face is the only “real part” and thus both have the same kind of skin), and OT and Cindy technically both have blue eyes. 8U Small but I wanted to mention those 3 things. The other is Mitsuru, fun fact between Hamu/Minty/Mitsuru/Kasumi they all seem to be honor students (or can be, Hamu/Minty it’s up to the player). But I now a lot of people think Kasumi’s red hair and it also being wavy remind them of Mitsuru more, almost like a sister? Kinda like:

RIP to Hamuko, the cockblock sister zone destroyed us all that day. We stand with you girl. 😔✊✊

So yeah I dunno how else to end it. They just have a lot of similarities ok? And some of them are very distinct design features. Of course, again, it’d be really sexy of you to prove me wrong with Adult!Hamuko in P5S Atlus. ;) Be really sexy of you to stop ignoring Hammy and P1/2 characters~! Oh it’d be such a shame if I was proven wrong and those two things happened instead. Oh whatever shall I do~! 8U

happy 13th Tay

worHere’s to the woman who has taught me multiple things the last few years, such as daring to dream impossible things, new english words I found myself using as often as I can (such as “treacherous”, “nonchalat”, “indentation”, and many others who make me feel fancy af), the value of love, friendship and kindness, to jump into things unknown even though I might me petrified to do so, cause that’s just fearless, a bomb-ass recipe of chai tea vanilla cupcakes inspired by her sugar cookies version, to speak whatever it’s in my mind no matter what the repercussions could lead onto but also to watch the way I use my words cause they might me the most hurtful weapon I could utilize against someone or yet the most rewarding they could ever hear.

Here’s to the woman who was taught me really a lot, to laugh about me, not care about what anybody else has to say about me, as long as it is negative criticism, hate or gossip, to value every little moment I can get with my parents cause they are getting older too, to embrace who I really am, to sway my hips everytime I dance cause she does that every single time (and thanks for that Tay, people really think I’m a great dancer cause of that), and to tilt my body either left or right everytime I try to not succesfully sing the high notes of every song, cause she does that (and she actually nails that part). Here’s to the woman who taught me black clothes could really work in my wardrobe and now I can’t get enough full black outfits in my life. Here’s to all the splendid things Taylor Alison Swift has taught me over the last few years. And not gonna lie about it, it has been a journey I regret no getting into early, but I believe God works in mysterious ways.

I first remember hearing about this invaluable human being with Love Story and You Belong With Me, just like many other swifties have. And the first time I saw her perform live on TV at the 2010′s AMAS when she sang Back to December and wore her hair all straight for the first time which my sister says was a great and iconic fashion moment. I remember jamming to I Knew You Were Trouble with my cousin in one of our Chirstmas Eve dinners back when I was just 13. I recall hearing Red (the song) a lot in radio and jamming to it but in a subconscious level.

Long story short, I became a Swiftie during the 1989 era. I recall one sunday watching the VMAS while doing homework and they announced TS was about to play her new song called “Shake It Off” which would be her first official pop single from her soon to be released full pop album “1989″. I freaked out hearing the song for the 1st time cause it was SICK! after that I found myself looking at the music video in youtube a lot actually, but then in my feed a live performance of “Welcome to New York” appeard. I clicked on it. And that was it. There was something so captivating about that song that got me hooked into the Taylor universe.

I went and bought the 1989 album months later just cause of that song. I LOVE IT SO MUCH, THE BEAT, THE STORYTELLING, THE WHOLE TOPIC OF STARTING AGAIN AND FEELING BRAND NEW IN A BRAND NEW CITY.

1989 really became the soundtrack of my sophomore year in which I learned so much about friendship, myself, romance and most of all, hearbreak.

I’ll def write on how much Taylor has helped me into my vision of love, I’ll do it someday cause that’s gonna be extensive and Im still trying to find the proper words to do that.

Red Velvet Reel 4.6: A Crabapple A Day

Summary: Pancake finally gets their checkup through the Mini MeDi, a non-intrusive magic and soul scanner, and they're doing well. Undyne gives advice and then embarrasses herself.

Undyne passed the screen over for Edge to hold. He took it gingerly, looking at the interface with renewed uncertainty.

“This is the Magical-Medical Diagnostic Display, the MMDD, better known as mini MeDi! I designed it, and Allie built it!” Her gills flared and she sounded proud, excitedly leaning over to point at several icons. It seemed fairly standard, with icon demonstrating monster stats like HP, DEF, ATK, MGC, etc.

“It’s somewhat based off of a BATTLE interface, combining the CHECK command with soul and magic type readings. That’s why it’s all black! If I were to use it on you, your body would show up like a white silhouette and your soul would look black. Like so.” She moved his hands to hold the machine up, pointing it at herself. Edge supposed it did look like the magical barrier that occurred during a BATTLE that drained color of everything but magical attacks.

“The HUD...” Undyne crushed a hand to her mouth, gnawing at her knuckles for a moment, “Wait, let me back this up...”

“So, monster pregnancies are measured in percentages, so little Pancake is literally going to have a load bar showing how far along they are. For simplicity, we divide these load points into quarters- the first quarter is roughly 25%, second quarter is about 50%, third quarter is close to 75%, and the last quarter is 98% or so!”

Edge frowned, “Why 98%? That completely disrupts the pattern...”

Undyne blinked, surprised, “Um, yeah...” She looked at the floor, twiddling her thumbs, “Well, at 100% they’re- they’re done. Um, they’re born and we’d just... check them directly... I thought it was clever, but, um, you’re right in that it’s not even...”

Edge never had the same kind of patience Red had with Alphys, or Stretch had with this easily discouraged Undyne apparently, but he was getting tired of her insecurity. Maybe if he just yelled something positive at her, she would become inspired and stop being so gloomy?

Stretch gave his hand a squeeze as though he could hear his thoughts, and spoke before Edge had a chance to say anything, “I think it’s cool and I like it. So, Pancake’s probably closest to the 25% benchmark, yeah? What does that mean?”

Undyne perked up at the subtle encouragement, continuing emphatically, “Well, 1st quarter is the souling stabilizing itself and becoming their own monster. Although from the beginning the Souling has always been there, it’s not until 25% when they establish a soul signature that’s completely independent of its parent. So, when I use this machine on you, Mr- erm, Col- uh, Gen- uh, Sir! Pancake won’t appear as a separate soul signature quite yet. They’ll just be this… amorphous magic that’ll come up as an unidentified object with a little loading bar.”

That all seemed reasonable enough, but Edge still tensed when she made a move to take the machine. Stretch, ever sensitive to the shifting atmosphere (and the claws digging into the back of his hand,) cleared his throat, “How about a test run first, huh?”

“I’ll volunteer-“ Stretch started to stand up, but Edge reached out to grab the back of his shirt, grip tight to keep him from getting up.

Stretch didn’t miss a beat, “To operate it! Dyn-Dyn, I just point this thing at you and tap your body outline, right?”

“Uh,” Undyne clearly hadn’t been expecting that, but turned to face him anyway, “Yes, exactly!”

“Okie dokie.” Stretch held the machine up, pointing it at Undyne, glancing at Edge. His husband, almost reluctantly, tapped the heart quickly, jerking backwards as though he expected to be electrocuted. The screen readout changed, with Undyne’s silhouette becoming black and a variety of stats coming up.

“Oh, wow,” Stretch murmured to himself, “That’s really cool, I had no idea your soul signature was 20% Integrity, but that makes sense.”

“Yes!” Undyne looked pleased, “Soul signatures and magic are an imprecise science, but you’ll usually find at least trace amounts of all 7 major soul types. That’s why Monster souls appear white! It’s a fascinating area of study, and the actual makeup of your soul changes given your emotional state! Since I was just-“

Edge never thought he’d ever be bored in a doctor’s office, and yet... He focused on the little machine in front of him, poking Undyne’s soul directly a variety of times to no effect. If she wasn’t reacting at all, still talking about soul types, then maybe it really was just a diagnostic tool.

He looked up just as Undyne finished explaining something about green magic, turning the screen around so it faced her instead. It was with great effort that Edge convinced himself to finally let go, dropping it onto her lap in a way that had her scrambling to keep it from tumbling onto the floor.

Taking deep, steadying breath, Edge released his death grip on his husband’s fingers and the examination table, “You may proceed, Doctor.”

Stretch remained where he was, discreetly massaging his hand and flashing Edge a reassuring smile. Undyne held the machine up, clearing her throat as he finger hovered over the screen, “I’m going to hit this button so the machine will start scanning you, ok? Most monsters don’t really feel anything, but some monster’s report it feels like a prolonged CHECK. I promise it won’t be painful for you or Pancake. In 3… 2… 1… Moon time!”

“Moontime? Seriously?”

“I-! It’s-! YOU WOULDN’T UNDERSTAND!”

“I wouldn’t understand?! Who sat through that whole concert…”

Edge couldn’t help cringing, but true to her word, it didn’t hurt. It was deeply unsettling and uncomfortable, like someone was trying to peel back all the layers of magic, coding, and intent that made up his entire being- but it didn’t hurt.

“Agggh!” Undyne sounded annoyed, turning to the screen in front of her with a huff, “Stop distracting me! You’re making me look incredibly rude and unprofessional in front of Edge! It’s-”

“Oh!” She looked surprised, before immediately schooling her expression into something more professional. “That’s! Unexpected!”

“What is?” Edge’s voice was calm, but he bodily shoved Stretch off the examination table and towards the screen, keeping uncomfortably still for the machine, “Is something wrong?”

“No, no, no- nothing bad! It all looks really good!” Undyne relinquished hold of the machine to Stretch as she scribbled something down on the clipboard, eyebrows furrowed in concentration.

Stretch grinned, trying to resist running his finger along the display, “Pancake’s officially at 12.5%! They don’t have much in the way of stats yet, predictably, but they’re ‘In Progress’ and also PBST_NORMAL!”

Edge wasn’t sure what that meant, but normal was encouraging, and no special indicators meant nothing was wrong, right? He returned Stretch’s smile with a small, tentative one of his own.

“Exactly! You’re just a lot further a long that I was anticipating!” Undyne tapped her pen against her teeth, “How, um, long has it been?”

“3 weeks and 4 days,” Edge forced himself not to shift uneasily, even as Undyne continued taking furious notes, “I have it marked on my calendar, if you need a precise calendar date.”

“3 weeks? Hm... And 12.5% is half a quarter...” Undyne gnawed on her pen, “So your quarters are 6?”

She looked to Stretch, who was trying to hold the screen and take a picture with his phone at the same time, “Hm? Oh, 6.5 would be a closer estimate, no?”

“Then, with 4 quarters, that’s 46. Roughly 184 days.”

“184,” Stretch confirmed with a nod, before his face fell almost comically, “184 days?! That’s! So soon?! Edge!” He turned to his husband, “That’s like no time at all?!”

Edge made an educated guess, “Until Pancake’s at 100%?”

“Exactly!” Undyne took the screen back, typing something onto it as she glanced down at the paper several times, “I’m just calibrating the machine to these parameters, and if my math and your estimates are correct-“

“They are.”

“Then the full length of this monster pregnancy should be 184 days, about 6 months. But, magic is unpredictable, so it could be earlier or later depending on a couple of different factors.”

“Like what?” Stretch asked, looking a little nervous as he played with the strings of his hoodie, “Like LV and EXP?”

“No,” Undyne answered quickly, trying to smile reassuringly, but it came off as forced, “Queen Toriel was also concerned, but in the few observed cases, LV has not significantly affected the Souling. There haven’t been any cases or studies on the impact of a raise of EXP or LV on a Souling, but I wouldn’t, um, recommend it...”

“Is that all for today, Doctor?” Edge crossed his arms impatiently, the feeling of a prolonged CHECK starting to grate at his nerves.

“Yes-“ Undyne quickly turned the machine off, clearing her throat, “Overall your stats are excellent- but your DEF is unusually low, so that’ll definitely be something to keep an eye on-“

“Is there anything I should do to address that?” Edge cut in.

“Nothing in particular...” Undyne tapped at her cheek in thought, “There are consumable items that can raise DEF temporarily, but they won’t have a long term impact. Not unless you increase your consumption to a daily basis. You might want to consider equipping armor that has a higher DEF, at least +3, to neutralize it.”

Edge looked troubled, worrying at the ratty, frayed bandana around his throat.

“It’ll probably be fine without it though!” Undyne backpedaled immediately, glancing at Stretch in dismay, “It’s just a precaution- Soulings in their first quarter are still feeling out their magic, so they’ll initially mimic your stats. They end up balancing themselves out in the third quarter usually- well, there’s a slight chance they won’t- but they’re more sensitive to that in the second quarter anyway- but then again-“

Edge unequipped his bandana without another word, tucking it into his inventory. His face was inscrutable as he turned back to Undyne, “I will address that. Anything else?”

“Uh-Pancake’s development is coming along well, so I won’t need to see you until the end of this quarter-“ She said in a rush, unnerved by Stretch’s surprised expression, “Just, um, keep doing what you’re doing and it should be fine. Make sure to get as much sleep as possible.”

She took a deep breath, positively jumping as Edge stood up with a nod, “Thank you, Doctor. We’ll keep in touch.”

Undyne sat ramrod straight, clutching her clipboard to her chest, “Yes, ok, thank you, love you, bye.”

Edge smiled to himself as Undyne let out a mortified sound, half-collapsing onto the floor. He shared a glance with Stretch as he let the door close, careful to never once give either of them his back.

“Ohmygod-!” Undyne wheezed, latching onto Stretch and shaking his shoulders roughly, “Your husband is the scariest, most intense, sexiestmonster I’ve ever met?! It felt like he was going to eat me- but that I should thank him for the privilege? I’m 100% a lesbian in a loving and committed relationship, but damn!“

“Yeah, uh,” Stretch laughed, gently patting her hands, “He’s got that effect on people, heh. He’ll be flattered-”

“OH MY GOD NO!” Undyne’s grip got tighter as her face went pale, “You can’t say a thing! I’m going to have to face him in a few weeks! How can I when I know he knows I think he actually kind lives up to your hype?! WHAT IF ALLIE HEARS?! No, no one must ever know!”

“Ok, ok, Doc. Thanks for today, by the way- you’re my hero, the Undying Doctor.”

She blushed, pulling her hair over her face bashfully, “You didn’t know naming conventions between doctors and wrestlers were different back then either!”

Stretch winked, before becoming uncharacteristically serious, “But I had a few more questions. Specifically, what symptoms are coming up? And talk to me a little bit more about that DEF thing too... “
