Little Ones

Pairings: Ethan Ramsey x Victoria Clarke

Summary: There are lots of important people Luke and Lily need to meet

The hospital was very quiet at night, the rush was over and some rooms were empty.

But in the maternity unit, a room was occupied, two small babies slept in their parents arms.

“There are so many people who can’t wait to meet you.” Victoria smiled as she looked down at Lily. “You’re have so many aunts and uncles who are going to spoil you. Your grandparents are so excited that you’ve joined our family.

Ethan sat down on the bed beside Victoria, holding Luke in his arms. “He’s so tiny, I can’t believe how well he fits in my arms.”

“One day he won’t, so let’s soak it up as much as possible.” Victoria smiled.

A gentle knock at the door tore their gaze away from their twins.

“Is it okay if we come in?” Sienna and Bryce stood in the doorway.

“Of course! Come and meet them.” Victoria smiled.

“They’re so tiny.” Sienna said as she peered over Victoria’s shoulder to look at Lily.

“And quiet.” Bryce laughed.

“They weren’t a few minutes ago, we just got them off to sleep.” Victoria chuckled.

“They’ve got a decent pair of lungs on the both of them. Just like their Dad when he shouts at incompetent interns.” Ethan said.

“So that means we will be able to hear them from a mile away.” Sienna laughed.

“Precisely.” Victoria laughed.

“Moving on. We both wanted to ask you something.” Ethan looked at Victoria.

“We wondered if you would like to be their godparents. Sienna for Lily. And Bryce for Luke.” Victoria smiled.

“Really?” Bryce asked.

“What Bryce means is yes.” Sienna laughed.

“Of course!”

“Would you like to hold him?” Ethan asked.

Bryce nodded and Ethan gently placed Luke in his arms as Victoria did the same with Lily to Sienna.

“We’re going to have so much fun little man. I can’t wait to tell you all the ways to wind your Dad up.” Bryce grinned.

“Maybe we made a mistake.” Ethan laughed.

“I think your girlfriend will have something to say about that Bryce.” Sienna laughed.

“Maybe, maybe not. Luke and I are going to be the best double act to exist.” Bryce chuckled.

“Second best to them.” Sienna smiled.

“Looks like we made a good choice.” Ethan said to Victoria.

Victoria smiled at Ethan. “We sure did.”

Naveen heard they would be discharged that evening, he headed up to their room to see them for the first time. He was so excited for Ethan and Victoria. The arrival of their twins was something everyone had been waiting for. And now they were here, everyone was excited.

Naveen knocked gently on the door before opening it slightly.

“Naveen! Come in!” Victoria smiled.

“I’m not interrupting anything am I?” Naveen smiled as he shut the door.

“Not at all. We thought it was time you met them.” Ethan smiled.

Luke and Lily were asleep in their medical cribs as Naveen peered over them, the smile on his face widening. “They’re beautiful. Congratulations to the both of you.”

“Thank you. And I know that Grandpa Naveen is going to look out for them every step of the way.” Victoria smiled.

Naveen looked up at her. “They don’t have to call me that.”

Ethan laughed quietly. “You are like a grandfather to them. And we know they’re going to love you.”

Naveen felt a lump in his throat. “That’s very kind. I hope they’ve been good for the both of you so far.”

“Apart from the fact that they just want feeding all the time, yes.” Victoria laughed. “They clearly take after me.”

“I’m sure they will in lots of different ways. One will definitely have Ethan’s stubbornness.” Naveen chuckled.

Ethan rolled his eyes. “I knew you’d find something to laugh about.”

“We’ve been doing it for years. It’s nice to know you’ve finally taken notice.” Victoria rubbed a gentle hand on his back.

Naveen smiled proudly at his grandchildren. He was so proud to know that Ethan and Victoria saw him as a grandfather to their children and he was going to make sure he was the best grandfather ever to them.

It was a word he never expected to use in his life, but he wouldn’t change it for the world.

Alan Ramsey pulled into the driveway of his son and daughter-in-law’s home, the smile on his face growing as he turned off the engine.

Today was the day he was meeting his grandchildren. This moment had been a long time coming and now it was here, he could hardly believe it.

Alan never thought Ethan would settle down, he knew how much his career was to him and was proud of how influential his son was in the medical world. So one day when Ethan talked about an upcoming intern, gushed about how brilliant she was with a smile on his face, Alan knew there was something there.

And now here they were. He never really gave up on her. And neither did she.

Alan grabbed a bag out the back of his car and locked it, pressing the doorbell.

Ethan opened the door. “Hi Dad. Good journey?”

“Very good. The roads were quiet which was a little unusual. I was very eager to get here.” Alan smiled, his eyes drifting to the Moses baskets in the living room.

“Don’t let me stop you.” Ethan said as he led him into the living room.

“Hi Alan!” Victoria stood up and gave him a hug.

“How are you?” Alan said.

“Oh you know, tired, but so in love.” Victoria smiled down at the twins.

“It’s a love like no other.” Alan replied. He sat down on the sofa. “And I think the names you’ve chosen are perfect.”

“Luke and Lily suited them.” Victoria smiled.

“What’s in the bag Dad?” Ethan asked.

Alan handed the bag to him. “Some baby bits I thought you might like. There’s some of your old t shirts in there from when you were small. They might be a bit big but hopefully in a few years they’ll come in good use.”

“That’s very kind Alan. Thank you.” Victoria smiled.

“Thanks Dad. And looking at these two, I now know what you mean.” Ethan said.

“I knew you would.” Alan smiled.

“Did I miss an important conversation?” Victoria laughed.

“I’ll tell you about it later.” Ethan said.

“These two are very much loved and wanted. I hope they know just how much.” Alan said.

“They will do.” Ethan put an arm around him. “We will make sure of it.”

Alan was so excited that he now had two grandchildren to keep him on his toes. He thought he would never get to use that word in his life but now he could.

And the thought of it made him smile every time.

“I did warn you about what my mother will be like didn’t I?” Victoria asked.

Ethan looked up from changing Lily’s diaper. “You did briefly. But remind me again. I’m a little tired.” He chuckled.

“Prepare for her to be armed with mountains of food. She makes enough to feed the five thousand. And especially as these two arrived early, she’ll make even more for us so we don’t have to leave the house.” Victoria explained.

Ethan laughed as he picked Lily up and rocked her in his arms. “So what you’re saying is make room in the fridge.”

“We might as well empty it.” Victoria laughed. “But I did speak to William. Him and Erin went through a similar thing when Thomas and Isabella were born. They’ve only promised to bring a cake and Sarah and Alex said they’d bring snacks. So we’ll have a balance.”

“An unhealthy balance.” Ethan laughed.

“Better than nothing.” Victoria shrugged.

The doorbell rang and Victoria went to answer it.

“Hi Mom, Dad!” Victoria smiled. “Mom, how much food did you actually make?”

“Enough for you to last at least a week.” Jane said as she pulled her daughter into a hug. “You okay?”

“Yeah. Come on through.”

“I want the Tupperware boxes back when you’re finished by the way!” Jane said as she walked into the living room, a squealing of delight coming from her. Victoria could only presume she had laid eyes on her two newest grandchildren.

“I tried to tell her but you know what your mothers like.” Michael laughed.

“We wouldn’t have it any other way.” Victoria laughed. “Now come and meet your grandchildren.”

Victoria and her Dad walked into the living room where her Mom already had one of the twins in her arms.

“I remember when you were this size Tori. It’s amazing how well they fit in your arms.” Jane smiled down at Luke.

“I said that.” Ethan laughed.

“They are so tiny. But they’re perfect.” Michael said.

“I still can’t believe that they’re here. It seemed like we were waiting forever for them.” Victoria said.

“The waiting is always the hardest part. But once you get through that and the pain it’s all worth it for these moments right here.” Jane said.

Victoria smiled as her parents gazed down at their grandchildren in awe. It was amazing to see how much Luke and Lily had brightened up everyone’s lives and they were so lucky that they were here, happy and healthy.

They had a bright future to look forward to.

I decided to do Sienna and Bryce as a representation of the gang as they are each a godparent to Luke and Lily

Abstinence Camp Live Chat Things

So much praise for Corey and Bryce and Curt during the Axe-Man song

Curt also showed up in the chat at some point

Nick Lang said the Abstinence Camp shirts were all hand-made and Lauren asked for an extra pair so that Jon and Kim could rip them open during Virginity Rocks

"When Matt & I came up with Boy Jerry & Girl Jeri, we knew the episode would work. They're weird." - Nick Lang

Quacker described Lautski as "Connecticut Clark and Malfina type relationship"

About the M.E.A.P test:

I asked Nick Lang who came up with the Stacy's melons question and he said it was him and Matt.

Nick Lang also confirmed that nmt s2 takes place in a covid-free 2020

Also, Steph and Pete were confirmed to be 18, the Jerries in their late 30s to early 40s, and the Lumber Axe is around 20.

Everyone got really protective of Mary during the campfire scene

"Jeff has the musical talents of Sondheim and the hair of a 90s shampoo commercial" - Annadownya

According to Nick Lang, the Lumber-Axe is a puppet and voiced by Nick Lang with the pitch shifted way down

Nick Lang said he it was inaccurate when Pete was described as cute because he didn't have himself in mind when writing it. And of course everyone basically started going "No, you are cute!"

In return, Matt Dahan showed up in the chat praising Jon's performance as Boy Jerry
