Toge we all know hes such a sweet misunderstood boy. We love him tho. He's definitely gonna have either the worst grades you've ever seen or he's gonna be in the deans list ( honours list? depends where ya'll at) we all know how he talks in ingredients, but that's not gonna stop him from having a bunch of friends that hang out around him just for his aura yk. He's gonna be the sweetest boy and he'll remind you of a little cat. His handwriting, it's gonna be so cute. i feel like he has little stars on the Is instead of the usual tittle. he writes small and slightly cramped but it is so easy to read. When writing essays i feel like he'll have so many pages of all these tiny tiny words. I think he's definitely got an affinity for the sciences and maths. I think that there would definitely be many people who would be interested in him romantically, but he's only going to have eyes for one person. ( maybe i'll write a fic abt that ( x reader maybe ) )

Maki Zenin

def a girl boss. so proud and pretty. I think she would be a jock like yuuji but man shes got some of the best grades you'll ever see. she's gonna be really intimidating to everyone when she first introduces herself in class, but that isn't going to stop a bunch of guys from going up to her and being rejected ( lmao at their pain) her handwriting i think, would be like close to calligraphy. She's so extra like megumi but special in her own way, like her z's would be crossed. I think that she would be quite good at drama and acting but her preference would be in musical theatre, and hell she's good at it.

quiet boy reborn. Man, he's gotta be the most awkwardest boy you're ever gonna know, but he's also very shy and kind. Would not hesitate to beat someone up if they've hurt his friend. personally, he would be the one i would like to be friends with. His grades are above average for someone who doesn't spend a lot of time studying, and his friends get so annoyed about that. His handwriting would be cute and childish, but still really neat. I think that his laptop background would be a collection of images of his friends, like him and rika when they were really young, and everyone else is several different locations. When you first see it you instantly know he's a really good friend, and would cherish everyone. Gotta paint his nails. idk but i would want to so badly

he's practically the professor. Super serious, constantly asking questions and getting answers right. His exams results are like in the 99 percentile which is like insane. HE is so consistent with his grades, like damn bro what else you do with life?? He looks so tired and done with life half of the time or he's just sipping on his coffee. I think he drinks two cups of pure expresso in the morning and has a cup of tea for the rest of day, in his fancy little cup. His handwriting, i don't know how to describe it but it's like so extra. Definitely prioritises his handwriting over contents of notes but he does well either way.

you would never see him in class. He's got like some crazy excuses, but i swear you're not even aware he's in your class until you get paired up for something and he's like, "wanna meet up? if you get it wrong Im doing it myself" I think he would be so annoying to work with but like if you're friends with him he would actually be quite helpful. You would have no idea what his handwriting is like. He's never written a thing in his life for school and he's happy about that. He skips out on school a lot to go see the model meets like takada. No clue how he even passed high school if ur in uni together.

bro if i was in school or uni with this man i would instantly drop out. He's a fucking pain in the ass and i hate him sm rn. But i'm sticking to the head-cannon. His grades- probably pretty good, maybe like a genius or something but so irritating. His looks gain the attention of many girls, but his misogynistic and shitty personality pushes a lot of people away. He's a pain to work with for group projects, would totally run off and do the work himself and get everything wrong and blame everyone else for not doing anything when he wouldn't let you help. He's fine, but like not impressed with him. His handwriting would be old and traditional and if you live in japan, he would write in traditional Japanese. and practically no one knows what he's writing.

Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle Character Overview #2: The Luigis

Moving on to the green duo that earns more W's than the L's on their caps imply, we have my favorite classic countdown youtuber, and some other guy. If you get who I'm talking about then you get a cookie.

The main thing the Luigis have in common is that they don't have much in common with anyone else. They also share low health and above-average mobility, but these factor into their playstyles in different ways.

We'll start with the Rabbid of the two this time, since besides Mario you get the classic characters after their shorter, longer-eared counterparts. Rabbid Luigi is one of your three starting characters in fact, so let's get right into how he works.

Rabbid Luigi is described in role as simply "Pest" in this game's sequel, and while that role fits as well here, I'd personally clarify it to the more flattering title of "Debuff Wizard". Note the long wizard robe most people seem to assume for some reason is an oversized sweater. Rabbid Luigi gets access to a wide suite of potent debuffs, including both one unique to him and the best shared super effects in the entire game, which he can apply with frightening frequency.

Rabbid Luigi has the second lowest health out of the entire cast, only beat out by his human counterpart. Granted, it's no more than 50 health less than the average with max upgrades, but it's still something to note. His max movement range meanwhile is among the best, which is very helpful in tandem with his unique movement ability.

Rabbid Luigi has access to Vamp Dash, which is what I'd argue is the single best movement skill in the game. This applies the same Vamp status effect I discussed with Rabbid Mario to any enemies in range, though the variant applied via Vamp Dash can be improved even further, healing up to 100% of the damage dealt. Note that Vamp healing is based on the damage the attack could have dealt and not the damage dealt outright, so finishing off a low-health Vamped enemy with a strong attack will still heal as much as if the enemy was full health. Rabbid Luigi has the lowest dash total of the rabbids, maxing out at 2. In addition to their potent extra effect though, his dashes also have the highest max damage, fully upgrading to a max of 160, giving him the highest max non-weapon damage in the cast. This is the most above average he gets in terms of damage, but far from the last of his top-of-the-line status-inducing potential.

That brings us to the Bworb, Rabbid Luigi's one-of-a-kind main weapon that resembles a magical yo-yo. While at first it appears to be a funky model swap of the Blasters with a lower max damage, as soon as you get access to super effects the specialty of this weapon type becomes more and more apparent as the game goes on. Bworbs have uniquely higher crit rates, and thus chance to apply super effects, which only gets higher and higher as the game progresses. By the end of the game, Bworbs will crit more often than they won't, up to the endgame where you can get Bworbs with 100% crit rates.

I'll talk about super effects a little early because Rabbid Luigi's are unique, and they're important to his playstyle. Every other character gets access to one of two super effects, shared across their main and secondary weapon. However, the debuff wizard himself gets access to 4 super effects... but only for the Bworb. His options rotate between Push, Burn, Stone, and Vamp. Let's explain the new ones here, since I mentioned the latter two which he shares with his... brother? They never elaborate on how the Rabbid Bros feel about each other. Anyways, Push is very similar to Bounce, but it launches enemies rolling across the ground instead of in an arc, and if they roll into another target (friend or foe) then they start rolling too. The differences are pretty marginal though, they're basically the same thing in function. Burn is similar in that it forcefully moves enemies, but instead of a predictable trajectory that can force enemies out of bounds, it instead forces any afflicted targets to run around in a panic until they can extinguish the fire in comical fashion. The fire can also spread to anything the first victim touches, once again including your own allies. It sure is a funny effect, but it's not great. It's hard to predict, and since it can't ring-out like Push or Bounce it doesn't provide any extra damage, but it can in theory at least get enemies to move out of cover? Needless to say though, the 100% source of the game's two best debuffs is vastly preferred, and thankfully the postgame Bworbs you use for the game's hardest challenges are Stone and Vamp. My recommendation would be Stone though, since multiple different statuses can stack onto one enemy in this game, and Vamp Dash's specific Vamp is potentially stronger than the store-bought variety anyways.

On a much less exciting note is the Rocket, Rabbid Luigi's secondary weapon. This long-range AOE rocket launcher attack can hit things from a long distance and behind cover, but not exactly very well. Its damage is pretty pathetic, with the best in the game being only marginally stronger than Rabbid Luigi's max dash damage on a direct hit, nevermind the splash damage falloff. The best use for the Rocket is for getting chip damage onto groups of enemies that may be in an awkward position, but other secondaries fill this niche better. Unlike the Bworb (this is the most I ever get to say "Bworb" so I'm relishing the chance), Rockets have generally the same crit chance as other weapons.

Speaking of crits... yeah, okay, weird thing 2 about Rabbid Luigi's super effects: remember how I said his Bworbs get Push, Burn, Stone, and Vamp? Yeah, his Rockets meanwhile only get Push and Burn. Ouch. At least these synergize with the Rocket's main appeal of shooting behind cover, since you can force enemies in hiding to be moved out of cover and into range for better attacks, but like... it'd also be cool to apply the two best debuffs in the game to an AOE from a range? I dunno, it feels like one of the few redeeming qualities of this thing is that it's such a negligible part of his kit that you can skip out on buying upgrades for it and not miss out on Rabbid Luigi's actual strengths.

Speaking of strengths, Rabbid Luigi's abilities are about middle of the road, but define his role as a matter of annoying afflictions. First is Super Barrier, his spin on the playable Rabbids' standard-issue shield ability. As the name might suggest, its unique trait is that it makes Rabbid Luigi entirely impervious to Super Effects for the turn he activates it. This is a niche but helpful perk, especially against early instances of super effects, where otherwise being put in a bad position because of a disabling or movement-forcing effect could be disastrous. It also reduces damage from weapon and body attacks, but it takes heavy skill tree investment to still not match the more generalist shields in damage reduction.

His second ability meanwhile is Weaken. Instead of reducing damage and denying debuffs, Weaken has the little guy cast a funny wizard spell that applies a unique debuff to nearby enemies that lowers their attack damage, up to a max of 70%. While harder to pull off than just applying a defense-raising debuff to yourself, it can potentially neuter entire groups of enemies from being a threat for a turn. And don't quote me on this, but while bosses are immune to standard Super Effects, I don't know if the same applies to Weaken. Even if not, it can be a great way to make scary enemies like close-range Smashers a lot less so.

Rabbid Luigi fits the Wizard archetype in how he starts out unassuming, and it's easy to forget about him over time, but as the game progresses a player who can pick up on his unique strengths can really appreciate his talents. While his damage is less than outstanding, his value instead comes from making it harder for the enemy to do damage in turn. He can reduce the damage enemies do to the entire team instead of just himself like other Rabbids. He can deny a key target an entire turn with a guaranteed critical Stone effect. He can even act as an unconventional healer, priming enemies to be juicy sources of HP for allies, making the damage the team takes less impactful in the long term. If I hadn't made it clear yet, Rabbid Luigi is my favorite character in the game just because of how unique his playstyle is and how satisfying it is to play to his strengths. Don't forget about him for the entire game once you get more characters, he's seriously great as more than just a third wheel.

Though speaking of replacing Rabbid Luigi... let's talk about who most players tend to do that with: the dabbing destroyer of worlds, the green thunder reincarnate, normal Luigi. Arguably there's no such thing as a truly "Normal" Luigi by society's cruel standards, but we love him all the same.

Mario's role in most games is pretty generally to be an all-rounder who maybe has one unique gimmick, like wall jumping or stomp jumping or interdimensional travel. He's got average movement stats across the board in games like 64 DS and 3D World, he's a standard close-range combo-oriented fighter in Smash, and in Mario and Luigi he's the slightly faster of the brothers and deals better damage. Luigi's role is to generally just be... Not Mario. Overall similar, but Luigi tends to force a more awkward, specialized playstyle that's harder to get into but gives higher gain when mastered. He jumps higher but slides around in the platformers, he relies on trickier combos and gimmicky sweetspots in Smash, and in Mario and Luigi, he's the tankier of the brothers, but has slightly better base crit odds.

So... when Ubisoft were figuring out Luigi's role in this cast, what would his specialty be?

cold-blooded sniper.

Luigi is almost comically min-maxed. He has the best range, high damage output regardless of range, and the best mobility in the cast. You also get him early on as the first unlockable character, as your reward for beating the first midboss 5 simple levels into the adventure.

In terms of stats, Luigi has the highest max movement range, tied with Rabbid Yoshi. He can also upgrade his pipe exit range, a very exciting stat, to higher than most, which can legit be used to shave a few turns off of a Reach Area mission. However, these strengths and more are balanced out by Luigi's absolutely tiny health pool. At the end of the game, most characters have around 550 HP, give or take 50. Luigi though?? Luigi, even with upgrades, has just over 300. This man is made of glass toothpicks. If the enemy sends him a mean DM on twitter then he's losing half his health before he even reads it just because he knows in advance he's gonna be dwelling on it for hours and already feels rancid about it. This man has to stay out of harm's way if you don't want to instantly fail getting gold trophies on missions just from one stray big attack instantly shattering Luigi's entire skeleton.

Fortunately, Luigi's movement ability is custom-built for aiding in his assigned goal of running away like the coward he is: Double Jump. This allows Luigi to team jump off of one ally, then directly onto another for an insane amount of distance for one turn. You can have teammate A jump off of teammate B, then have Luigi jump off of B and then onto A. This basic strat can let Luigi breeze through Reach Area maps, just try to make sure no enemies can take pot shots at him before he can end the mission safely.

While he's the master of movement (for reasons we're not even done explaining yet but we'll get back to that), Luigi's other key strength is his weapon, the Precision. Another unique weapon, it's once again similar to the Blasters in being a single-shot ranged weapon with average crit chances, but it boasts slightly higher damage in addition to noticeably increased range. Its damage is the most consistently high of the blaster-likes, with no damage falloff like the Boomshots or high damage ranges like the Rumblebangs (we'll get there later). A great way to make the most of this weapon and Luigi as a whole is the high ground damage bonus: while any attack gets a bonus from attacking an enemy while you're at a higher elevation, Luigi gets the best use out of it due to his weapon's range making his positioning more flexible while still being able to target enemies, and his movement capabilities make getting to high ground especially easy. High ground is also harder for most enemies to reach, so it even keeps him alive better. While every character can benefit from the high ground bonus, and can invest skill points to increase the bonus further, Luigi is the character I'd most seriously consider investing into it with.

Luigi's secondary is similarly one of the best in the game: the Sentry. This wheeled explosive will travel along the ground like a normal character towards its selected target. If it can't reach its target in a single turn, then it will linger on the field and try again at the start of your next turn. The sentry can be fired at and destroyed by enemies, but this is honestly more of a strength than a weakness. Sentries have more health than what most enemies can get through in a single turn, so really they're just wasting their attacks on it, letting it act as a free damage sponge that works especially well at baiting out enemy Villain Sights. Oh, and it's also a big AOE explosion, outmatched in power only by the Melee. Seriously, these things are cracked, and they compliment Luigi's playstyle so well as both a way to attack multiple enemies at once from a safe distance, and a way to draw enemy fire away from himself for basically free.

Luigi's super effects are fittingly similar to Mario's. They share Bounce, but instead of disabling enemy movement with Honey, Luigi disables enemy attacks with Ink. This includes reactionary attacks too, like Sights or the aggro attack from Smashers. Again, considering Luigi's twinkish physique is so susceptible to being snapped in two, being able to prevent enemies from attacking outright is super nice.

Once again similar to his bro, Luigi's first ability is Steely Stare. If you thought the death stare meme was below me, just remember it's not below Ubisoft. Neither was the dab. Anyways. Steely Stare is Luigi's Sights ability, an ability all the classic Mushroom Kingdom characters share, though his has a few unique traits. It can upgrade to the highest number of individual shots, 3 per turn in fact, but its damage is capped at being lower than 100% of the normal shot damage. Again, putting Luigi on high ground is recommended so he can benefit from that damage bonus. Speaking of damage bonuses, it pairs nicely with Mario's M-Power to boost each shot further. It can also pair with Mario's Sights for a full-on barrage of 5 reactionary shots. There's a late-game boss with the same aggressive reaction movement as Smashers, and it's my favorite thing to have one bro shoot them, then as they start moving, the other bro takes a shot, then they trade shots back and forth like an improvised bros attack while the boss is just crying in confusion.

On the note of working well with Mario and resembling one of his abilities, Itchy Feet is similar to M-Power, but boosts movement range instead of damage. This is great for low-mobility characters like Mario, but it's even better for escort missions. The only thing the burdens of these dreaded missions can do is walk, no team jumping or anything, so being able to extend their movement range can legitimately end the fight several turns faster if you use Luigi's ability regularly. It also, of course, helps with the standard Reach Area missions too.

Overall, it's not hard to see why Luigi is a fan favorite, and a mainstay team member in both casual playthroughs and speedruns. He has high damage, the best range, and mobility so good it single-handedly dunks on some of the game's most dreaded mission types in a way no other character can. I'm out of funny ways to say he dies easily, but it legitimately is the main thing keeping this absolute madlad in check. You can't leave Luigi in the frontline by himself and expect him to be around next time you finish blinking (nevermind I had one more). Keep him with teammates and behind cover or on high ground where enemies can't easily reach him.

Luigi has one other drawback, but it doesn't come into play until next time, where we'll cover the two masters of team support and defense clad in pink, AKA: my picks for the most overrated and underrated characters in the entire game.

Random observations of the trophies in Super Smash Bros. Melee, because I thought they were interesting - Part 1

I have decided to contribute to this site by dragging over some random junk I've written before. I guess this is also my excuse to try and contribute to the site? Well, """contribute""" in more quotation marks than I let on. Anyway, I'm just gonna more or less repost something I made before, but now I don't have a godforsaken text limited forced upon me AND I can edit spelling errors, woo. This is also probably going to look like a mess, because I have never used Tumblr in my entire life, so uh... woops.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Also to get something out of the way, I'm not covering every trophy from every series. I love this games' trophies, but I don't love 'em THAT much. I'm just going to talk about the ones that piqued my curiosity. To begin, let's start with Mario stuff, since that's the big name.

One thing I really like about these trophies is that the main player trophies you get from Classic Mode are based on their standard designs in their home series. For example, the Mario cast are based on their N64 appearances, such as Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, or Mario Party.

The "Red Smash" and "Blue Smash" trophies are gained through clearing Adventure Mode and All Star, respectively. Red Smash trophies uses the characters' design in game while the Blue Smash trophies always uses an alt color. Both describe the character on how they play. Interestingly, while Brawl does not do this, Smash 4 does. Depending on the version of the game, the character will use a different alt color as seen here.

Going back to the Mario cast, I think it's really cool seeing how characters that would later have their designs tweaked later on in the GameCube's life be modeled with their original designs. Daisy, of course, is the most noteworthy one of these four.

A few personal favorites of mine for the Mario trophies is that this is the only game where they show off the power ups with Mario while later games would just show the item that gives you the power up.

Might be commonly known by this point, but here's a fun little fact; Metal Mario's reflection is the Yoshi's Island stage.

I'm also a fan of the trophies that are very odd "deep cuts" to the series, such as the Bucket and Plum.

Now for the Donkey Kong series. While Donkey Kong, Dixie Kong, and King K. Rool all get their own trophies, Diddy is strangely absent despite being mentioned. I'm not sure why that is.

Another thing I really like about these trophies is that there's some fun interpretation of these characters in 3D, such as DK Jr. and even Stanley of all characters.

Another fantastic example of the developers interpenetrating characters that were never in 3D by this point would be Marin of the Zelda series.

Something to note is that she is depicted as a blonde instead of a red head like her appearance in Hyrule Warriors.

I can only assume this may be based more on her sprite than her artwork? Her artwork seems to lean on her being a red head.

But then the remake goes with the blonde hair, so... Marin, you confuse me, you cute lil' lady you.

Research to inspire my FMP

The games that will be included on this post will have some correlation to what my project will become.

Wreckfest:

Wreckfest is a racing video game developed by Bugbear Entertainment and published by THQ Nordic. Wreckfest is described as the spiritual successor to the FlatOut series and a cross between FlatOut, Destruction Derby and cult 1989 PC racer Street Rod. A notable feature of the game engine is the use of soft-body damage modelling, which enables location-based damage that affects the driving dynamics of vehicles in a realistic fashion. I haven't played the game myself but I am aware of the content.

It turns out that bumper cars are included in wreckfest but I won't let that set me back. I will continue with this idea as I see fit.

The game includes a variety of gameplay features, namely banger racing and demolition derby. The racing gameplay follows the same fundamental rules as most modern racing games, such as Need for Speed or Gran Turismo. The player controls a car in a race or demolition derby, the goal being to win the race or be the sole survivor of the derby.

Rocket league:

Rocket League is a vehicular soccer video game developed and published by Psyonix. The game was first released for Windows and PlayStation 4 in July 2015, with ports for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch being released later on. In June 2016, 505 Games began distributing a physical retail version for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment taking over those duties by the end of 2017. Versions for macOS and Linux were also released in 2016, but support for their online services were dropped in 2020. The game went free-to-play in September 2020.

Described as football, but with rocket-powered cars, Rocket League has up to eight players assigned to each of the two teams, using rocket-powered vehicles to hit a ball into their opponent's goal and score points over the course of a match

Mario kart balloon battle:

Balloon Battle is the most common battle of the Mario Kart series, as it is in every Mario Kart game to date. All racers get three balloons that represent their "health", and when one of the racers gets an item and hurts their enemy, their enemy will lose a balloon. When one person loses all his/her balloons, the other person wins. It was introduced in Super Mario Kart and was featured in every Mario Kart game since.

Burnout paradise:

Burnout Paradise is a 2008 open world racing video game developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. It was also released on the PlayStation Store and via Xbox Live Marketplace's Games on Demand. Paradise's gameplay is set in the fictional "Paradise City", an open world in which players can compete in several types of races. Mad max:

Mad Max is an Australian post-apocalyptic action film series and media franchise created by George Miller and Byron Kennedy. It began in 1979 with Mad Max, and was followed by three sequels: Mad Max 2, released in the United States as The Road Warrior, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, and Mad Max: Fury Road.

Mad Max is also a 1990 video game for the NES developed and published by Mindscape Inc. It is based on the film Mad Max 2. The object of the game is to survive life in the post-apocalyptic world by battling survivalists and collecting resources.

Bumper cars:

Bumper cars or dodgems are the generic names for a type of flat amusement ride consisting of multiple small electrically powered cars which draw power from the floor and/or ceiling, and which are turned on and off remotely by an operator.

The cars are commonly powered by one of three methods. The oldest and most common method, the Over Head System, uses a conductive floor and ceiling with opposing power polarities. Contacts under the vehicle touch the floor while a pole-mounted contact shoe touches the ceiling, forming a complete circuit.

Atomic heart:

Atomic Heart is an FPS video game with action role playing elements. The combat in the game consists of shooting and slashing with improvised weapons. A wide variety of enemies are featured, which may be mechanical, biomechanical, biological, and some of which are airborne. There is a crafting system where the weapons can be pieced together from metal parts that can be detached from robots or taken from household appliances. Weapons can also be upgraded via a mechanic called casettes. Ammo in the game is scarce, and there is a stealth option.

The main protagonist is Major Sergey Nechayev, a World War II veteran with memory problems who befriended Dr. Sechenov after the latter saved his life. P-3 is invited to Facility 3826 ostensibly to assist in the rollout of Kollektiv 2.0, but when he arrives he finds that the Facility's robots have become hostile and massacred most of the human personnel. Sechenov explains that Viktor Petrov, Kollektiv 2.0's lead engineer, sabotaged the Kollektiv 1.0 node that manages Facility 3826.

Fast and Furious:

Fast & Furious (also known as The Fast and the Furious) is a media franchise centered on a series of action films that are largely concerned with street racing, heists, spies, and family. The franchise also includes short films, a television series, toys, video games, live shows, and theme park attractions. It is distributed by Universal Pictures.

Limbo: Limbo is a puzzle-platform video game developed by independent studio Playdead and originally published by Microsoft Game Studios for the Xbox 360. The game was released in July 2010 on Xbox Live Arcade, and has since been ported by Playdead to several other systems, including the PlayStation 3, Linux and Microsoft Windows. Limbo is a 2D side-scroller, incorporating a physics system that governs environmental objects and the player character.

The player controls the boy throughout the game. As is typical of most two-dimensional platform games, the boy can run left or right, jump, climb onto short ledges or up and down ladders and ropes, and push or pull objects. Limbo is presented through dark, greyscale graphics and with minimalist ambient sounds, creating an eerie, haunting environment.

𝗣𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬: Muggleborn Ravenclaw with a patronous spirit of Hummingbird, an INFJ (last time I checked at MBTI test), my enneagram is 4w5 and my moral alignment is Neutral Good. WIND: has been obsessed with thomas the train since he was a kid and just never grows out of it, and its his biggest secret because he never wants anyone to find out or he would never recover from the embarrassment. he has a sizeable collection of memorabilia, and if like mcdonalds or some other fast food chain were to do themed toys, you already KNOW my boy is out there grinding for happy meals. he would babysit time and malon's son for the sole reason of being able to watch thomas and friends in public and have nobody shame him because "the baby likes it." even if said baby has been passed out for like two hours in his arms and wind is still in the middle of his marathon, doesnt even matter. time and malon ask him to go home? no, you fools, season four isnt over yet. he was also extremely distressed with the 3D models when they were introduced, and he would absolutely protest against them like pokemon genwunners.

he listens to all sorts of music, but especially loves bubblegum pop and nightcore circa like 2009. this, of course, is a wonderful contrast to his baby sister aryll's taste in music, which despite her innocently pastel sense of style is almost exclusively death metal (and the battle for the aux cord is brutal).

FOUR: casual twitch gamer, began his whole career while watching wind play fnaf one time and literally like six months after he started his own channel it BLEW UP and now he has a gajillion followers on his streams and on youtube. he likes to play kirby and metroid. despite the fame, his attitude remains casual, which is part of the reason why people like him so much. hed just show up on a random tuesday morning wearing his shirt backwards and be like "hi guys today im going to break my world record speedrun time" and then he just Does It. iconic king.

he has heterochromia, and his eyes flash different colors when a certain one is fronting (?), unrealistic in modern standards i know but just roll with it. vio especially loves gaming, and whenever people in chat ask why the literal hell his eyes seem to change color all the time, four just plays it off like "trick of the light. it just be like that" and no further comment. he has the most casual schedule ever but he pulls in absolute BANK.

HYRULE: ABSOLUTELY a park ranger, and he adores his job!!! just picture him in like khakis and big stompy boots (i know, so cute!), and his knees and forearms are covered in colorful bandaids cause hes in the woods so much! he likes to give tours the most, and will go on and on about bear safety and how to read trail maps (despite never using them himself lol)

he would go up to a bear and be like "this is richard, hes chill, he gave me a pinecone once so now i like to think we are married" and all the people on the tour are like "isnt it dangerous to get up close to a bear like that?" and hyrules like "yes <3"

always mild mannered, except for when he finds poachers or traps laid out. i'll just leave that there.

WILD: you already KNOW my boy is a sous chef at some uppity restaurant, and hes the best damn cook there. he likes to goof off a lot which makes his superiors kinda hate him, but none of them can do anything about it because he is the singular reason why the restaurant has so many glowing reviews, and its super common for customers to ask for him by name so they can meet him. he just kinda messes around and does his own thing and is incredibly unpredictable, but he more or less runs the show because they cant just fire him, so days at work would go as follows:

"you cant film tiktoks in the break room 15 minutes before rush hour, we need you at the stove!"

Lucien Reborn, Lucien Ascended, Lucien Prime, not sure what the in-game lore name of this miniature is. On Artstation, the sculptor Thomas Lishman has this model titled “Critical Role - Lucien (Stage1)“. Stage 1 you say? One of how many? Oh how wonderfully ominous.

This miniature has been the talk of the town. Twitter has been heaping loads of well deserved praise on this figure. Lucien Stage 1 is incredibly impressive! 

So here’s my take on this miniature, my ideal mini-related campaign arc outcome, I wanna see the Mighty Nein turn Lucien back to the light side, get Mollymauk back. But- Mollymauk just stays in the same Lucien Stage 1 physical form. ha, can you imagine them setting out the miniature marching order, just the Mighty Nein walking in a line with floating Mega-Molly cruising behind them firing eyestalk lasers!? This concept is very absurd and entertaining to me. Or like the rest of the party can just ride on the back of Mollymauk as he flies around. It’s perfect!

Regardless of the outcome or whether it resembles the ridiculousness described above, it’s sure to be a stupendous finale. See ya next sesh!

1. how would you describe your style?

I often find the most common description I give my style is 'comic book style' but if I were to push that I'd say it's specifically american comic book influence, but I've definitely taken tips from older cartoons (vintage and 2000-2010's styles) as well as 3d game models of various kinds haha. super smash bros and typical 'anime style' is kinda where I started!

8. what’s the most fun and the least fun parts about your process?

GOd. the least fun is definitely figuring out anatomy and getting the flat colors down, I absolutely hate both of those LMAO. Sketching is fun at first until I have to make it LOOK accurate and fix the proportions. Flat coloring is also just STUPID tedious LOL

the most fun I have is LIGHTING! I love love love adding the finishing touches with light, slapping all the beautiful light refractions, highlights, glow, shadows- you name it! lighting makes me happy and I have fun with it. By far way more easy to be messy about and have it look good than the other processes!

16. favorite media to work with when drawing traditionally?

markers!! I actually really enjoy ink pens and markers! There's something about the way the ink bleeds over the paper that makes my brain happy, it just lends itself to solid pleasing aesthetics to me. Also ink pen sketching has a unique quality that ballpoint and pencil doesn't have!

17. what do you love getting compliments about?

First off: everything and anything, if you compliment anything about my art I WILL LOVE YOU FOR IT. But I think my two big favorite compliments are having my art style praised in some way and also being told my art was impactful to someone. If I'm told a piece I made really stuck with someone it means so much to me! I also love in general if people point out details, because it's nice knowing someone really saw my work longer than a glance haha.

23. what’s something you hope people notice when looking at your art?

Honestly mostly the feeling of it! I want them to really FEEL what I'm trying to put into my work, or draw a feeling from it! I also hope they appreciate and notice my lighting details haha, but what people notice will always be different. Also, yknow, being told people can see my hard work is nice :P

1. Why is it dangerous to disregard the racial slurs that are “harmlessly” said during video games?

Many times, during gaming sessions, where people are behind screens, and many times anonymously, racial slurs are thrown around as if it were something normal. Even those who don’t see it as normal and know it is not right, many times don’t speak up because they see it as not being literal or as “just playing around”. This mentality of disregard, however, can be very dangerous in not only reinforcing racial slurs and stereotypes but in also spreading ignorance of race being a racial construct. Many times, these gamers consider themselves as not being participants of this racial discrimination because they don’t say these racial slurs. This only makes ignorance more prevalent as well decreasing accountability, and hence progress in society. Hence, it is not enough to say that we don’t see or think about race, class, or gender just because we don’t say a racial slur during game or laugh at one. The bottom line is that these concepts are built into the very institutions that guide our lives and therefore, we can’t say that they don’t exist and that we don’t participate in them. In other words, by disregarding these racial slurs in video games, individuals become enablers of the discrimination against people of color which becomes dangerous when these gamers come back to real life and continue to be enablers of such in society.

2. How do game characters like the cyborg in the game 3D Realms help reinforce the objectification and portrayal of women in society?

Although there has been reform and advance in the way women are treated and perceived, there is still many outlets in society that continue to convey the negative perceptions of women that make them as weak an as mere objects to satisfy men. A great exemplification of this can be seen in the game 3D Realms, where women are heavily objectified through nudity, violence, brutality, and sexualization. As described by J. OW, the “Yellowfaced Cyborg” character in this game, which is played by the gamers, is a misogynistic cyborg that rapes, pillages and kill masses of people. Although many would disregard this as just being a game, the truth is that video games mirror real life, hence the stuff that gamers do in these games at some point and to a certain degree become a part of reality. Therefore, this objectification of perpetuation of violence against women become normalized in the game, which can be problematic in reinforce this objectification of women in society, and gamers thinking it is okay to treat women this way.

3. Can any game be entirely for fun and/or positive, in the sense that it is not constructed with a certain intention in mind?

Just like social media platforms, the algorithms or construction of video games have a great deal of bias in them in conjunction with the intent for which they created it for, and for whom. Video games have propaganda and trailers that are meant to capture the attention of a certain public and if not peak interest to a new target of people. Even games that seem fun or harmless like animal crossing or Mario games, still have bias and creating intent for a specific audience. For instance, animal crossing had the intent of promoting capitalism while Super Mario bros has even some sexist foundations in its plot that includes rescuing the damsel in distress, Princess Peach. In the Mario games for instance, the bias is already embedded in this plot that have the intent of teaching boys and girls who play it that men need to rescue women in order for women to survive. Ultimately, games must have a subliminal or no-subliminal specific target audience and intent in order for them to be able to seem interesting enough for that audience to buy the game. Hence, it is very difficult for a game to be entirely for fun without having a specific intent as its foundation.

4. Since race is a social construct, is there a viable way we can deconstruct this system?

Race is not an inherent concept but rather a concept that has been given meaning by people in society, which is why race is in fact a social construct. In other words, race is a concept that has been given negative connotations and meaning by people which in turn has made race to become an integral and rooted ideology that guides our lives. Without these connotations and meanings that we have placed on this concept, race is just a grouping of people based on their ethnicity and phenotypical difference. Therefore, as long as we keep not only perpetuating and supporting the negative connotations that have been given to race, but also forming new ones, it will be impossible to deconstruct this social construct. Many people have deep rooted ideologies of race which they continue to perpetuate with no leeway for chance, which will make it very difficult for us to deconstruct these negative meanings that are given based on race.

Ok, I'm a big Zoids fan, and as such, this review focuses on the differences between the styles of this and the preceding series, rather than an more general overview (I won't use Genesis as an example since that is of a vastly different style). Unfortunately, it is very negative. Firstly, let me start with the Story: Fuzors basically has no story whatsoever for the vast majority of the series. In the final few episodes, a backstory gets fleshed out and some continuity established, but as this only happens very late-on, it feels more like a justification for why the series occurred in the way it did, rather than an actual plot that naturally developed. Furthermore, the story it does eventually manage to establish is rushed, this, along with the generally poor translations, makes it difficult to draw any praise from the story. Now, this brings me to draw parallels with Zoids Zero, which also had a very skimpy plot at best. However, the biggest difference with the two series is that Zero is built around battles and comedy, and as such tries to give the viewer fluid fights and funny lines rather than a deep plot. Fuzors does not, and as such has no excuse for the lack of story. To continue with the story theme, I'll next discuss the Characters: While Zoids shows are not renowned for their characters, the development of the cast is not handled well in Fuzors at all. For instance, in the first episode, the character 'Amy' walks in to Mach Storm's headquarters and appears to anger some of the main characters. What the show doesn't tell you is that Amy is actually a member of Mach Storm herself. This fact makes it very confusing (to say the least) when she shows up unannounced in later episodes. This is probably the best way of describing the problem with the characters in Fuzors, it simply assumes you know who/what everyone/thing is -rather than actually take the time introduce them. This is especially true for the Zoids themselves. Many of the Zoids, such as Arosaurers and Gorhecks are totally new Zoids that fans of the previous series would not know anything about -and yet they appear on screen without any kind of introduction at all. To make matters worse, old Zoids that fans would be familiar with from other series are changed abruptly and without reason. For example, the Blade Liger is depicted in the other series as a very rare (if not unique) Zoid. In the first episode of Fuzors, three of them are shown. Another prominent example is the Fuzors variant of Gunsniper, which are all customised to be the same as Leena's heavily modified (and thus unique) Zoid featured in Zero. No explanation for either of these is ever given. This kind of 'thrust the viewer into the show' serves to confuse new watchers and disenfranchise fans, and is a great detriment to the series. Toward the end of the series, some of the cast's backstory is explained, however this is done in a very rushed manner and fails to justify the terrible job done in the first three-quarters of the series. Next up is the artwork. Well, the most important aspect of a Zoids show is the Zoids themselves, so I'll start with them. The models are all done in 3D, but the style is different to the previous series. The models themselves are very detailed, and try to stick closely to the real toy range, with small things like feathers and antennae being included. While such attention to detail may sound good, this is actually a detriment, as it severs to clutter the screen with needless 'wriggly bits' that only serve to distract the viewer. Furthermore, the models are all done in a very bland color scheme, with everything appearing 'cloudy' and dull when compared to the crisp, bright, colors of the previous series. Compounding this is the fact that most of these included features are simply never used. For example, the Liger Zero Phoenix never fires the bomb or guns that it has on it's back, instead RD usually uses his claws to attack from a distance, which is a big departure from the realism the highly detailed models try to emulate. While this might be excusable if everything in the series were done in the same style of graphics, this is simply not the case. Bullets and explosions are done in conventional anime style and as such stick out like a sore thumb. They just do not blend at all with the Zoids they are fired from or hit. But the most noticeable feature of the animation is the movement of the Zoids. The Zoids move in a very awkward and robotic fashion. All of the Zoids featured are extremely rigid and inflexible, thus their movements seem entirely unnatural and unrealistic. This is especially prevalent when the Zoids 'fall over', wherein they appear to do a backflip on the spot rather than actually collapse or stagger. This is easily the biggest complaint I have with the series, especially when comparing with the extraordinarily fluid animations of Zero. The backgrounds are bland and uninteresting, with very little stand-out features, and as such, the only positive thing I have to say about Fuzor's artwork is the character's design. However, considering that the characters are very unimportant (as they are usually obscured from view inside Zoids) this is largely a moot point. Finally, is the sound. Almost all weapons have high-pitched sounds, regardless of what they are actually shooting. As any mech fan could well appreciate, it sounds a bit ridiculous when super-heavy artillery makes a 'pew' sound. Furthermore, RD's voice actor has a very high-pitched voice, as do most of the supporting cast (such as Sigma and Sweet). As the viewer's ears are bombarded constantly by all these high-pitched sounds, it honestly gets annoying. Other: Well, there is no section for this, but the quality of translation is very poor. The names of Zoids are often mispronounced or downright wrong. Overall: Quite simply Fuzors is a very poorly made anime when taken from the viewpoint of a Zoids fan. The animation is awkward, robotic and dull, the sound effects are annoying and inappropriate, the translations are poor and the story only picks up toward the end of the series, but this simply come along far too late to salvage the series.

This might sound like a harsh thing to say, but this is one of the worst series I've ever seen. The plot is terrible, and the voice actors are outstandingly bad. The fights are poorly strung together and are terrible to look at. This series was cancelled from US airways for good reason. Although it does get better in the latter half, it's not enough to recover from the terrible first half.

Zoids fuzors, just like Zoids new century, have teams who uses Zoids to battle each other for entertainment purposes in my opinion. It has been a good series especially when their Zoids combine with each other. Unfortunately, the story is a bit cliche. Teams battling each other for no explained reason(I might have missed it in the series though). I have only watched the English dub so far and the voice actors are good. Animation is a bit different from previous Zoids series but then impressive when they combine. All in all, it was a good series.

Why I Like them: OKAY IN ORDER, first movie Beetlejuice. I enjoy he’s a big sleazy asshole that has funny one-liners every time he actually just show up in the movie. He’s a fast-talking con man that acts like a used car salesman and he has a sleazy charm to him. I also enjoy watching Barbara school his ass every time I rewatch the movie, stan movie Barbara y’all she’s a babe and will take you down. I also like to thank Michael Keaton for his performance it was a great one and we all have movie Beej to thank for the other Beetlejuices we got!

Toon Beej! Adorable, a brat, a jerk, a man that would do anything to make a quick buck and he’s gross and such a petty shithead I love him lmao. He can be pure and adorable and nice when he wants to be even if he doesn’t like to show that he has a soft side. Also holy shit all his puns??? YES?? I LOVE PUNS. His jokes, his powers, everything about this middle aged dead ghoul is A+ and ya know what when karma does slap him that’s good too cause he does deserve to get taken down a peg some times lmao. Toon Beej is someone I’d happily be friends with.

Musical Juice. What don’t I like about him? Besides his dumb ass plan of a green card marriage lmao (I mean movie beej also sleazy af for doing that too). ANYWAYS. What I like. His stupid smile (both blum and brightman just WHY ARE THEY BOTH SO ATTRACTIVE AHHH), his unhinged pansexual disaster energy, who tf is letting this man do coke that is a terrible idea but it gives such hilarious results, the fact that he uses his humor with his trauma he needs to NOT call me out like that lol. I weirdly relate to Musicaljuice like a lot (as someone who struggles with trying not to be petty or get jealous and stuff like that), plus him feeling invisible and lonely also hit home really hard when people in middle school and high school would randomly just drop/ghost me out of the blue. He’s such a chaotic sleaze and I just enjoy his energy and his jokes so much. His dirty humor? Sign me up I keep it clean here folks cause I got another blog for dirty stuff but I like dirty humor when it’s done right lmao. Also dadbod. Dadbod is CHEF KISS. The little things I also enjoy. How he does have an affectionate side (him being just affection/touch starved also coming for the throat cause me too), the fact that he jumped to protect Lydia after she rightfully killed him and he even gave her his cowboy hat as a goodbye present. I thought it was nice of him to yeet out of there cause he did do a lot of bads lmao. I also love how excited he got and the chaotic sibling energy he had with Lydia when scaring. I just really, really enjoy musical Beetlejuice a lot guys.

Why I don’t: I honestly do not hate his character at all, but, I can criticize his actions. To a degree. I can’t exactly say (ex. Musicaljuice)“Oh no! a demon trying to kill Lydia’s friends and family?? How unexpected!!” he’s a demon he’s gonna do evil-ish things. Which is why I applaud Lydia taking matters into her own hands good kid 10/10. and like movie Juice is a bastard sleazy man of course he’s gonna have a shitty idea as to marry a teenage girl so he can freely do whatever he wants in the world of the living. He never in the final script showed any creepy shit towards her which god I am grateful for I don’t need someone perving on this teenager that’s already having a wild time in her new house. He’s a conman just trying to have a good time but goes about it by crappy means. The petty/jealousy thing can go too far some times (but I chalk that up to musicaljuice’s sad upringing along with not having an positive relationships that we know of in his life to support him) for musical and toon juice (toon juice once again I don’t think had any friends that really understood him when he was alive and when he died so he just does whatever he wants since people already think so little of him before he meets Lydia), however with the proper talking to I think both could improve from it. Like in an analysis way I know these guys are fictional just like character development thoughts. All three have said and or done some things ranging from like small shitty things to problematic obviously. Beetlejuice is a very complex character as a whole. Movie juice obviously not as developed since he’s barely in the film to kind of shroud him in more mystery but that doesn’t mean his motives aren’t intriguing. I don’t want to make this post longer than it already is so that’s just all of my thoughts summarized.

Favorite Episode (scene if Movie): Fav movie beej scene is hard.

His first time meeting the Maitlands, his charades with Lydia, then the ending scene are all so good.

Toon Beej I’m trying to think. Once again I’ve only rewatched like 20+ episodes for the cartoon so it’s hard to pick with limited options. Uhhhh I like the haunted attraction episode lmao also the creepy tree and how he went out of his way to help Lydia move her favorite tree and in the end tried saying something nice to the tree even though eh was annoyed with it the whole episode.

Musical juice that is HARD, Blum and Brightman just own every scene they’re in shit lawl. I really like the evil plan reveal during the séance. The whole being dead pt 1&2 (the guide reprise), say my name, his scenes with the maitlands.

I also wish I could tell the cast/crew of the musical how much it has helped me get through this shitty year and how it legit just revived my passion for drawing again. I got to meet a lot of people through the musical and made some new friends. Plus I’m actually making money off my art now???
