CHAPTER 1: just a new book?
Maybe listen to a song while you’re reading
Waking up to a notification on your phone you realise that it’s the date for the new book-convention you want to go to with your best friends
Yoimiya, your best friend was never really into reading but she was always willing to try things for you, especially because you’re absolutely head over heels for a good new book
Yeah, no.. just because you love reading doesn’t mean you have to wake up at 6, stupid phone. Well you go take a shower excitedly anyway
You can’t wait to finally go to this convention , since you’ve been waiting for two years since this is the first time you and your friends can actually go to one after lockdowns and stuff. Let’s see, your favourite authors are gonna be there so, better look your best no? You thought.
Texting Yoi or else she wouldn’t wake up, you scurried to your room rummaging through piles of clothes to find your phone
Yoimiya just woke up after you texted her, and only then did she realise the time and day.
Pretty normal of her, you love how she’s down to do anything though.
Yesterday, you got this new top and have no idea if it even fits.
Almost like a catastrophe it’s now 8, getting ready takes time and the convention starts at 9. It takes an hour to get there and you have no idea where your tickets are.
Raiding the entire house, even downstairs where your café is, just to find those pieces of paper that you printed out, and finally found them under your dog’s bed. Mian is (yes your dog’s name is Mian, yes your mother named him that) fast asleep, you give him a kiss on the forehead and he wakes up just to see you all ready and about to leave. So you say goodbye leaving all his food and water out and head to Yoimiya’s house.
Finally reaching there, Yoi was still getting ready with.. someone? When you saw who it was, shocked honestly, Beidou!
“Hey dude! Beidou what are you doing here? Yoimiya what the hell I thought you and Beidou weren’t that close?”
“Heh welllllllllll” said yoimiya while you were still in shock. It’s not too surprising considering you put them in a group chat and never bothered to talk there again whereas they did.
“Babes, is Venti coming or not eh?” Beidou said with her heavy voice and gorgeous attitude.
“Okay, you guys look absolutely perfect, adorable even” yet you’re the only one who decided to just wear normal casual clothing. You thought to yourself on how at-least you’re comfortable. “And also, Bei he is coming, just an hour late”
“What’s new?” She laughed. A smile from all your faces and finally you guys decided to leave. Driving there you guys had a blast, the music, no, no the EDM at 8:40 am could never hit harder. Upon reaching the convention early it was still packed as ever, people swarming the place so many stalls and lord so many security guards
You saw a lot of famous author’s there, people you’re die hard fans for. Yoimiya looked excited but didn’t understand a thing, Beidou was already gone to go get food and drinks and there you were in awe staring at all your favourite books in stalls right in front of you. “Xingqiu!” An author you love, you get excited and wait in line for a while and meet him. Talking for a bit and taking pictures Its already 9:27 and you just got your book “the wonders of yor-land” signed and got a photo card too!
Yoimiya just walked in with your best friend, the drunken bard and points at you in line and waves. From the corner of your eye you see a number of security guards emerge with someone with long blue hair among them. A gorgeous white tux and a smile real bright, you were here for day two as well so maybe you thought you could just stand outta line for the “annual bookathon” anyway, it’s alright you just shoved venti in your place and thanked him a ton while you followed that gorgeous man just because you thought you recognised him.

She struggles with her magic until she makes a mistake and ends up tied to a dragon from the sea, their magic is tied and he becomes unable to transform back into a dragon. Will they figure out how to get untangled?
This book is BEAUTIFUL. The artwork is breathtaking and many pieces in this book gave me major Studio Ghibli vibes. this is a great book for children with its bright colors, cute story, and many conflicts resolved in a forward way and deeply explained to the audience. It was a wonderful read and I just want to share this story with others.

Verenika was a nobody. She grew up unloved but now she will get her chance. Hey everyone! Today is the first day of #makeyourmythtaker readathon. I started off strong and I'm done with my first book Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Three star read for me, not bad but there wasn't anything special in it for me. I've decided for my character, I would add little details from each book to help create her story. Here's what we've got so far: Verenika was alone, living in an overfilled orphan house. She was overlooked until one day. She was called on by an old friend, someone she knew in another life, who tells her that she can have a job at the royal castle if she agrees to become a spy and so her training has begun. With each book I will add more and more details until she had a completed story. Chapter 2: Meeting a blue haired fanboy.
This chapter has a lot of “comedy” you could say :)
Maybe listen to this song while you’re at it
You knew it was probably him. Your favourite author from 2016.
You actually couldn’t believe what you were doing for a literal human, “it’s just some guy who knows his way around words” you told yourself but isn’t that any good author with an imagination?
So literally running into the line and managing to finally secure 68th place. Damn not even one spot below?? Very well, you realised your running ability has certainly gotten worse since high school P.E.
Around 10:14 am you’re finally second in line. Like any fangirl you’re absolutely dying just to see his face, you’ve prepared everything you wanna say and eventually you get to him and the first thing you say is.. “Book me I y/n love” damnit! You were in disbelief but nervousness does that to ya. “I mean.. book- you- I’m y/n i love your book”
He chuckles gently holding his head high, “nervous to see some guy writing all day in his bedroom?” He says softly
“Oh don’t give me that I know you have a huge beautiful office!” You pouted saying it with so freedom, unlike your nervousness from like 3 seconds ago. “Anyway look you’re my favourite author to ever exist your books make me feel so much emotion and just, so happy so you better be glad I’m a super fan I have all your books from head to toe I’ve loved them since 2017, you’re the best.” You literally blurted out everything you wanted to say in that conversation in one line, Mr Kamisato, was in shock and was abundant in joy.
Before you knew it you had to leave, plus your phone was buzzing it’s ass off
Venti’s the only famous person you know who still likes Facebook, yikes.
Yeah you probably had to go fast since venti was still in line waiting for you to hurry up while you were fangirling so hard over a blue
boy. You ran to the line where you saw a group of people surrounding your friends and of course, you finally saw Ei! You see that your friends were all just joking around and talking and really thought of how you wanna cherish this moment forever. Just nine months ago you would have never expected them to be as close as they are today.
“Honestly I didn’t expect Ei to show cuz of her busyyyy busy schedule yano” Beidou said with a smile while holding her hand over her waist.
“Why, of course I would fill you with my presence today as I would not miss it for the world, to see you all smile”
“and as Ei spoke lovingly it was our, well my turn in line. “
At the bookathon you took your 8 book bags out, that yes with your priceless books were in and yes you did make your friends hold a few. Guess what, since you had this planned for a month you knew you had the best books. It was a competition on which person had the best books, the limit minimum and maximum you had to show were 30. Out of the 30, you were kinda not loving some books as you saw the people behind you had limited edition kinda from places such as Yae publishing house’s “Yellow House” which was so limited that there were only 2000 copies sold. Yet you did know you had a lot more books that were way cooler.
You finished showing the judges and the results were gonna be in at around 1:30 pm, so now you and your friends decide to finally go eat some breakfast.
While you were there, around 20 minutes in your eye just decided to spot him again. “Shshjsvsushshsh” you splutter out random words and everyone just stares at you in confusion and laughs out of love. Ayato catches this since you were very loud, and smiles. He decides to tell his guards to wait and approaches your table, you wonder why while being really nervous.
You have your socials open as he comes by and he spots this with the corner of his eye
He just came by to say hello to Venti and fanboyed so hard over venti it was kind of surprising. He was freaking out with his hands over his face and everything, his voice went like 10 decibels higher I’m sure of it.
He then looked at you and softly said something you didn’t expect to hear..

Two kids bound together to save an old sick dog. One is a boy who struggles with showing his emotion and is told how to act and feel by his family and those around him, the other is a genderfluid teen coming to terms with their varying feelings day to day.
This YA novel is so special, and it is an absolutely perfect read for kids in school to grow understanding of different life views. It explores a concept that kids may not be knowledgeable about and works through the feelings with the character.
