#SpilltheGreenTea- How do people get their names in your world? In Where the Heart Is, we learn more about both the Southern forest kingdom and the Eastern ocean kingdom, including the naming practices. Names for, at least, Southern royalty, often reflect status and/or have something to do with the fae, plants, etc. In the East, you match the first letter and borrow a couple other similar letters to create a new name, such as Henrick/Henry being named for Harris/Harry. #WriterFriendsChallenge- Story WIP Aesthetic! Where The Heart Is is Clary's story. This photo of the tea cup with the rosemary, ammonite earrings, acorn caps, and lace is part of the mood board I've made (& shared multiple times already) and fits both the character & the story to a T. hi fi rush fandom can we pleas put the fandom name in the character tag,,,,, so we can find our blorbos with minimal clutter,,,,,,

‘peppermint’ and ‘chai’ are the worst examples because SO many other things are named that including the actual drink chai, or random cats or food-themed characters,,

and it wouldn’t matter except for all the lovely art that just gets tagged ‘peppermint’ instead of something like ‘hfr peppermint’ or ‘hi fi rush peppermint’, thus becoming harder to find unless you catch it in a hfr fandom tag

i have been quiet here because i've been in revisions which: * are miserable * don't lend themselves to metricization

i have nearly escaped revisions though.

As an aside, it seems to me that I know writers who love revision and hate initial drafting, and I know writers who love initial drafting and hate revision, but I know almost none who love both. Just for myself, I adore composition and drafting and so on, and absolutely hate revision.

#also i maybe have a title #this book has been “untitled [charactername] WIP” for so long #but now it is some variant of A Fire That Burns Without Smoke #we'll see if my agent likes the title
