“Do you remember what it was to be young?” She asked.
“Every trouble would be solved by sundown, and every dawn you'd have a new chance to remake the world.”

The size of a book will never determine (for me) how much it will break my heart. However, Lie With Me is a snack of a book that held enough heart to feed me as if it were a feast.

✨Thank penguinbookssea for being so kind for sending me Until Morning by Joyce Chua.
✨I was sent another book too but I’ll be featuring that one in a few days from now.
✨ Actually there will be a few book features this week so please bear in mind and I will try to add some book reviews this week. I just need to still take some new photos (or maybe reuse some?) and edit. So, there may be double posts from me. ☺️
✨Let’s talk about Just Morning by Joyce Chua. I am hoping to get around to it very soon since my mood has been struggling lately and I can barely concentrate on reading. But this sounds really good.
✨Just Morning is marketed as for fans of Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer and You Reached Sam by Dustin Thao.
✨We meet our FMC Lexi who feels like she has met her soulmate but the problem is: he doesn’t even know who she is and she technically doesn’t know him either. He goes by the name Night and is an elusive street artist. Lexi ends up in a coma following a car accident and finds herself wandering Night’s paintings and his childhood memories. Then, there is Christopher who keeps having these dreams with a free-spirted girl name Lexi. Fate brings them together when Christopher’s dad plans to take over the land of Lexi’s fathers inn and Chris has to face the decision of staying loyal to his father or helping Lexi return back to her life.
✨Until Morning is around 250ish pages and came out on September 12th. I think this will be a fast, emotional read and I’ll update everyone once I get around to reading it.

👔 Jameson Miles. Brooding, alpha male, billionaire CEO. What’s not to love?
The Stopover is the first of four books in the Miles High series. There is also a book of extended epilogues that contains the extended happily ever after endings of each book. This is the only one I’ve read so far but can’t wait to read the rest of them. 💙
Have you read The Stopover? What did you think of Jameson?

Hi everyone, how are you? A lot has happened to me recently. I had to take on new responsibilities at work, and I suddenly had to move to a new apartment too. I had only two weeks to find a new place to stay, but I was lucky to find a nice studio in the city center.

The first few books this year have been coincidentally red. With Tom Holland’s Dominion, I’ve found myself reading history that I’m not entirely familiar with and that isn’t strictly my business or about me. In other words, I’ve been able to have pure fun with this one. Elena Knows by Claudia Piñeiro pierced through me. I’ve often described books as cascading, and this was one of them. Finally, addressing my fascination with archives: the Asia Society’s 1968 issue of its journal, Contemporary India. The issues it contends with are at once similar, familiar, and so far away: foodgrain shortages, Cold War rivalries, and India’s border disputes.
