pairing: nishimura riki / ni-ki x gn!reader
trope: love at first sight
a/n: and the how they fall in love series concludes :(
when ni-ki feels, he makes it known.
if he doesn’t like the colour assigned to him, it’s shown on his face. if he finds something cute, he says it’s cute. if he finds something confusing, he’s the first one to show that he’s confused.
so, when ni-ki falls in love, he has made it known to his hyungs – unwillingly, at that.
he’s quiet, but he’s loud. his presence is known by his loud silence. he walks into the room; all eyes are on him. ni-ki usually has his eyes either on his hyungs or on his phone – sometimes, none at all.
so, when jungwon sees his silence significantly different as it wasn’t his usual vibe, jungwon follows ni-ki’s trail of vision. the leader’s eyes landed on you, who had their eyes glued on the book they were trying to read. jungwon’s eyes flickered back to the maknae, who was now mindlessly sipping on his latté as he tried to sneak glances at you.
“you’re not being too sly, you know,” jungwon says, his eyes now on his phone as he tries to pull a reaction out of ni-ki.
ni-ki hummed and seemingly snapped out of his thoughts, shaking his head as his hand travelled through his dark fluffy hair, “what?”
“you could just ask their name.”
“i don’t know what you’re talking about,” ni-ki rolled his eyes and pulled out his phone, trying to take a photo of the café while subtly including you in the shot – taking a mental note to post it on his instagram in the most hidden way he could think of.
ni-ki thinks he’s in love, but he’s quite unsure. however, sunoo was.
“they’re y/n,” sunoo smiles as he mixes his affogato.
“what? how would you know?” ni-ki’s eyebrows raised up.
“i’ve chatted with them once or twice already,”
“could you –“
“introduce you to them? i was just waiting for you to tell me that!”
ni-ki clings on the first tell-tales of love.
for one, his heart plummeted as he finds himself walking towards you.
“hi, y/n! mind if we sit here?”
“no, not at all,” you smiled as you made room for the two people.
“i’d like to introduce my friend, by the way, he’s –“
“hi, i’m ni-ki,” he smiles shyly, nodding his head at you as his way of acknowledging your presence.
“i’m y/n, and i know you.”
the second time he realises it, it was when he was panicking when you arrived later than your usual time of arrival at the café near their building.
“hey,” you smirked at him as you realised he had already ordered your usual – sticky cinnamon bun for you and a croissant for him, to pair with mocha for you and caramel macchiato for him.
“hi – uh, hello,” ni-ki blushes, “i hope you don’t mind that i ordered you your usual already,” he ducks his head down.
“no, not at all,” you smile, and instead of sitting in front of him, you sat beside him, and ni-ki’s breath hitched.
just like the third time, when he sees you in their lounge with a paper bag in hand.
“you mentioned last time that today would be busy,” you started before pushing the paper bag towards him.
six people had their eyebrows raised and mouth agape; and sunghoon almost had the moment ruined by voicing out his shock loudly, good thing jungwon was able to cover his mouth as sunoo nudged him by the side.
“i thought i would bring you a croissant – oh, and your macchiato…” you trailed off, suddenly growing cautious over the fact that the tall boy (who happened to be the youngest one of the bunch) hadn’t spoken a word yet.
ni-ki’s eyes flickered back and forth from your hand to your face, and he tries his hardest to suppress the smile by biting on his lip, however his reddened cheeks seem to stray him away from success.
he intentionally reaches for your hand, engulfing his over yours that held the handle of the paper bag, “thank you. i owe you one.”
“you don’t - you don’t have to —“
“a date, if you don’t mind?”
and that leaves you dumbfounded. with a chorus of cheers and whistles from the maknae’s hyungs, blood rushed into your cheeks and you smiled.
“no, not at all,”
ni-ki smiled.
“oh, and ni-ki?”
his eyebrows raised, the cheers died down.
"took you long enough."

🎲 hello! my name is dorian @xohzero (ex-oh-zero)
🦷 my pronouns are he/him and i’ve been here since 2000! i’m an aries sun, virgo moon, and taurus rising.
🧦 i’m a multidisciplinary mixed media artist which is a fancy way of saying i like doing a lil bit of everything! i’ve done printmaking, hand drawn animation, collage, all kinds of painting, drawing, sculpture, and digital art!
🧿 i have a cat whom i love. he goes by many names: bloo, smoochie, smooch, boob, booby, booby smooch, bloo baby. he’s a white turkish angora that i got from my neighbor and he looks too fancy for me. i like when he takes a nap and gets skrunkled.
🫧 my favorite shows include what we do in the shadows, twin peaks, the x files, and the sandman.
🎱 i love horror movies but i’m a bit particular, my favorites are alien, scream, jennifer’s body, poltergeist, and the shining. sci-fi and fantasy is a big jam. i also ride hard for keanu reeves. i love vampires n other creatures of the night. i enjoy reading wikipedia pages about silent hill.
🧩 i was big into bandom around 2012-2017ish so if ur from that era too say hi omg. i still have mcr brainrot.
📼 i love love love music so that’s pretty tied to my work. i also have sound to color synesthesia (chromesthesia) so that’s also something i incorporate

Mfw I forget my own characters birthday for almost a week !! 🥳🥳🥳
Pierogi's canonical birthday is March 14th.
C is the 3rd letter of the alphabet while N is the 14th. This is the main reason why. However, I have recently realized it was also Pi day, which was really mind-blowing for me. Too good to be a coincidence. On this same day, Cartoon Network started polls on Instagram to see which cartoon was best, pairing Ed, Edd n' Eddy and Foster's Home against each other which is why I drew Eddy and Bloo having a rivalry of sorts. They're gonna be so fun to write, just you wait.
Another thing I'd like to say is that I apologize for the unnecessary hype for the project. More than a month ago I said it would release at the end of February, but the chapter got stuck in development hell like always due to school and other personal reasons I don't feel like discussing. However, I wanted to make these couple fun drawings to honor my dearest protagonist. The one I always struggled and improved for.
(Here's another drawing of him along with Finn and Steven since Finn apparently has his birthday one day before. This one was honestly really rushed I mean-- who draws fistbumps like that? What's funny is that Pierogi doesn't like Pi puns. Let alone clowns. Better think this through next time, Steven.)

I forgot to share these- Ok so!
This shawty came from a pair of nightmares I had, I may incorporate her into my Cursed Gods AU for how cursed granny would look like @bloo-the-dragon *wink wink nudge nudge* But yeah that would be her size compared to me (according to the dream)
This one was a study on monsters and trying to do more simple colorful backgrounds to spice up sketches. The character belongs to Deranged Fruitcake on Instagram!! They’re super duper cool what even was the reason they followed me But they’re super funny and they inspired me to draw more buff bodies and their humor is starting to rub off on me more hNnGgg. Their humor and drawings are suggestive so if thats not your cup of tea then explore with caution-
These last three are for my digital media project me and another student are doing! We already took the class last year, for some reason the school decided to put us in there again even though we passed. The teacher didn’t want to give us the same work because that’d be boring so she gave us this project for the whole year instead!! Best and favorite class rn.
