Scent information and additional details under the cut!

Nonbinary: This is the only one that's the same as last year: a lovely aromatic blend featuring gentle English lavender top notes, a heart of sweet Meyer lemon, and a base of vanilla and tonka bean.

Pansexual: A playful blend with aldehydic top notes of bergamot, sweet orange, and apple, unfolding into heart notes of rich honey nectar and toffee. White musk forms a gentle base.

Polyamorous: Fresh and clean with citrus and mint top notes. A heart of lavender, green accord, and sandalwood blends into a soothing base of cedarwood, amber, and musk.

Lesbian: An effervescent, feminine blend that opens with sweet apple, raspberry, and sparkling champagne. Lily, jasmine, and peach heart notes follow, supported by coconut and sugar base notes.

Asexual: Herbal and aromatic. Top notes of lemon and cyclamen give way to a heart of sage, lavender, rosemary, and thyme. Base notes of eucalyptus leaf and green musk tie the blend together.

LGBTQ+/Rainbow: Oceanic but not overwhelming, this scent begins with marine and green accords, followed by herbaceous notes, dry woods, and a strong note of sea salt. Leather, cedarwood, and smooth black pepper form a lingering base.

Transgender: A sweet, blush blend. Raspberry and mandarin top notes blend seamlessly into a heart of rose, lychee, and red currant, which in turn lead to a captivating base of oud, benzoin, and sheer musk.

Bisexual: Sweet with a little spice, this striking blend starts with ozone and chili pepper, mellowed out by a heart of mandarin, guava, and orange. Coconut and peppercorn round out the scent.

All candles are decorated with eco-friendly glitter made from sustainably and ethically sourced plant material that biodegrades in a wastewater environment. Testing was conducted to ensure that eco-glitter won't cause a severe fire hazard the way dried botanicals do, and while my own testing showed that they don't cause fireballs or anything, if your glitter gets too close to the wick, I recommend gently brushing it away before lighting, just to be safe!

Each candle costs $35 and the wax weight of each is approximately 6 ounces!

So when the band is home from, it can be a bit difficult to just "run into town" to grab things when needed. The abbey is located in a place that's a little inaccessible (on purpose, for privacy sake), so things have to be ordered in ahead of time, and often it's essentials only.

The ghoulettes and Rain stock up on makeup, skin care, and other luxuries while on tour. However, they're in between tours, in between albums. They're not going anywhere for awhile and their stockpile is running low.

Mountain takes it upon himself to experiment and create his own cosmetics for Rain and the girls. He already makes candles for them with wax from his beehives and oils distilled from his herbs. Makeup can't be that hard right?

Turns out he's quite the chemist, and the fact that he's creating his own makeup becomes a closely guarded secret in the pack (although....Papa does know too). They don't want siblings of sin banging down the door looking for cosmetics and skincare products.

Mountain, because he's Mountain and can't deny Rain and the girls anything, has separate product lines for every single one of them depending on their needs and desires.

"Mountain making make-up" is quite the tongue twister.

He'd probably get pretty good at determining the quality of products over time because of that/be a bit more aware of which items would look best on each person.

He's trying out a gloss he made on Rain and he's like, "Okay, but maybe a peachier undertone..."

Aurora wants the brightest colors imaginable, so Mountain is in his workshop figuring out how to make something really pop, and Cirrus wants something more neutral...

He uses Dew as his test subject, so sometimes he's, like, coated in cosmetics and swatches, and when people ask why Mountain is treating him like a guinea pig, he's like, "He ate the first batch."

He doesn't elaborate.

Dew has biodegradable glitter covering pretty much every inch of his body by the time tour comes along again, and that's when Mountain reveals Cumulus asked him to try making bath bombs...

A Glamour Spell Jar for others around you to perceive you as otherworldly. {ex. divine energy, supernatural, starseed, etc.}

{Notes} This spell is to be done on a full moon, at midnight exactly. Be sure to make cakes and ale in preparation for a nice hot meal afterwards.

Cast a circle and cleanse. Recently I have really been enjoying cleansing by sound, so a bell or chimes will do, along with a burning incense. To calm myself for this spell, I make a sweet jasmine moon tea, which I will upload the recipe in my next post.

Light your candle and wait for the candle wax to start dripping. Infuse each ingredient you put into the spell jar with intent and visualization on what you want the spell to specifically do for you. One at a time drop them into the bottle.

“ At moonlight doth be told,

my power shall be bold.

My eyes are shared by the wolves,

my fire is with the foxes in the woods.

Energy bestowed from my higher self,

may turn me into gold.”

You can say any incantation you’d like. Seal the jar with the black candle wax, and set it outside for the night of the full moon. Shake the jar to activate it, and carry it on your person, it can range in size depending on how much of an influence you want.

{ My experiences with this spell }

I personally love this spell on how it makes me feel. Every-time I activated, or redid this spell, someone would make a comment on my appearance that day. The first day was a werewolf, the second, a siren.

Everyday it was a new mystical creature, even though I had done nothing new with my appearance. This spell is very powerful if done right, and will the right energies so make sure you thoroughly cleanse your tools before and after.

17, but quite a few are just one-shots. I only have a couple long-fics, mostly because my poor ADHD brain is cruel to me.

What’s your total AO3 word count?

190,052, but if I hadn't orphaned my old (and embarrassing) Skyrim and Sherlock fanfics it'd probably be closer to 300,000.

What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

(And to be perfectly honest, my most popular fic is by far my worst. I spend so much more time carefully crafting for Eunoia than I do anything else, but the little following it's picked up has made it worth more to me than all the kudos and comments on "honey.")

Do you respond to comments, why or why not?

I do! I used to be terrible about it, mostly because the vast majority of comments I once got was hate (I wrote for a weirdly unpopular wlw pairing). Now I make it a point to respond to every single one when I can, even the short ones, to thank them for taking the time. It means so much.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

It was a drabble for the r/dragonage writing thread, actually! The premise was a font in the Black Emporium that would show your OC the outcome of a decision made differently. I wrote Eliana Lavellan from Eunoia discovering what would have happened if she'd fought with Solas in Crestwood until he told her the truth... and its outcome was worse than the timeline where he left her and kept his secret. You can read it here (it's about 1200 words, nice and short).

What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

My various Solavellan pairings don't get happy endings. Evelyn Lavellan was more of a narrative tool to explore Solas with, so her ending was cut short. Eliana doesn't have her ending yet, but it will be bitter and painful. My happiest ending was for my Bella/Rosalie pairing for Twilight - Bella became a vampire and lived happily ever after with her wife.

Do you write crossovers? If so what is the craziest one you’ve written?

I don't, unfortunately! Since my days on tumblr and FFNet, S*perWh*L*ck left a terrible taste in my mouth when it came to crossovers. I'd be open to it one day if I can find fandoms chill enough.

Have you ever received hate on a fic?

As I previously mentioned, yes. In my Bella/Rosalie fic, I made it a point for Rosalie to love all the parts of Bella that weren't conventionally beautiful. My Bella is also a dark-skinned black woman, and the intersection of racism, colorism, and misogyny where it concerns attractiveness was something I thought worth including because I didn't see enough of it in fic. I wanted to highlight all the things that don't get enough attention or are actively reviled, like hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, natural hair, soft bellies, areolas and vulvas that aren't perfectly symmetrical or small, pubic hair and armpit hair and little hairs around nipples - things that I love about AFAB people! I got a lot of comments on my smut chapters calling Bella disgusting, or me nasty for choosing to include those traits. I deleted every single one.

Do you write smut? If so what kind?

So much. I love exploring pairings or power dynamics that people wouldn't necessarily consider, like a strong female warrior Lavellan domming Solas, or Solas topping Blackwall. I wanted to show a black woman in an interracial relationship with a white woman where she got to be soft and loved gently, where she got to be quiet, bookish, and looked after instead of expected to be the loud, strong stereotype that we pin black women into. I wanted to show the power of masculinity in an elven mage who loves a warrior woman (Solas/Cass), or the nurturing side of domming in a relationship between a pan giant and a bisexual elf (Iron Bull/Solas).

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not that I know of, tbh. I turn up to fandoms a decade late, so usually by the time I get any traction the fic-stealers have done their dirty work and leave me alone.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

I haven't! I hope to one day write a fic in Greek for my best friend, though. They deserve to read about Solas in their mother-tongue.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope, but have done some plotting with aforesaid Greek friend.

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Solavellan, absolutely. Any variation, honestly - I've loved m!Solavellan, f!Solavellan, as well as any variation including nonbinary, trans, or other interpretation of the relationship. Solas sees and loves the spirit, and I love the idea that its vessel doesn't matter so much to him. I headcanon him as a he/him agender bisexual, for what it's worth.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I've technically marked i couldn't whisper when you needed it shouted as complete, but it cuts off right before Adamant and was intended to be a full Solavellan story. However, I just didn't care for my rogue f!Lavellan OC very much, and didn't think she matched Solas well. I developed an OC that I enjoyed writing much better and rolled with it. So, I'm sorry Evelyn Lavellan, but your story is frozen with the two of you happy in bed. Solas will never break up with her so long as I don't write that part, right?

What are your writing strengths?

I love dialogue and crafting character voices! Getting a comment that I've managed to portray a favorite character so well that they can hear their voice in their head as they read? Priceless.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Exposition vs description. I want to show instead of tell, but developing the right environment for a scene can be tough for me. It's so much easier to write that the characters are cold and the ground is wet than to wax poetic about dripping leaves and frosty air. But I'm working on it.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I'm obsessed with it. I love little bits sprinkled through that make sense with context, and culturally speaking it would feel wrong not to sometimes! I'm also the type of person that's always been obsessed with languages, and instead of becoming fluent in one I've learned a smattering of a whole lot. So any opportunity to sneak in some French, Welsh, German when it makes sense? I'm taking it. And don't even get me started on Elvhen or Qunlat because I will sprinkle that shit like biodegradable glitter.

What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Okay I'm gonna flout this question and just write my fandoms in order:

Sherlock (circa 2010 - 2014)

Skyrim (2016)

Twilight (obsessed from 2005 - 2010 but didn't write for it until 2019 or 2020 when Midnight Sun released)

Dragon Age (March 2021 and easily the most fanfic I've ever written ever)

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?

My favorite one to write was probably i'd wanna be felled by you, but my favorite to reread is Eunoia. It's most likely the most honest, least presumptuous thing I've ever written, and it's easily the longest thing I've ever attempted. I'm very proud of it.

As far as tagging goes, I've been very rude lately with it by tagging people late in the day, or tagging folks that I haven't tagged before, and am still refiguring out tumblr etiquette (since I haven't been here since the days of the skeleton war and the Mishapocalypse lmao), so presume if you see this you're tagged to participate. Let’s chat about ways to make spells that are biodegradable/made with naturally occurring materials so we are not inadvertently harming Mother Earth.

Things you can use to contain spells that are safe for the earth - the rinds left over from your melons or fruits, cotton or wool cloth scraps (no synthetics), paper without any waterproof coating like wax or plastic. Brown paper bags work excellent. Use cotton or hemp to tie it shut or paper tape to tape it up. (do not use wax to seal it unless its beeswax)

Many spell ingredients are natural materials anyways, but here are some you should avoid if your spell will be going outside for any reason. GLITTER! Glitter is a micro plastic and it is so bad for the environment. If you want to add color or shine to your spells use mica powders which are naturally occurring, or get glitter that is biodegradable. Wax, most candles bought today are a mix of petroleum based, soy and palm wax. All of these are heavily processed and will not break down in the environment. Beeswax is the only naturally occurring wax you can get candles in that's safe for disposal outside and should only be done sparingly if at all.

Lastly, I know it is a common practice to bury a jar spell when you are done with it, but we live in modern times and you can also just throw them in the trash can! If you need to bury a jar to keep it working, consider where and how far deep you will bury it. Glass though naturally occurring doesn't exactly decompose, it just eventually becomes small particles like sand. That takes hundreds of years to happen, be good to the earth ❤

The collection of jars were lined up on the top of Ash's bedside table, and each were painted with symbols and the initials of the people Ash made them for. It was a spur-of-the-moment process, so Ash was more exhausted than they would normally be, but it was done.

Ash crashed on their bed once the bottles were finished. They weren't the prettiest. (Ash usually preferred to decorate their spell jars and bottles with things like biodegradable glitter, gold leaf, or the appropriate stones, and seal the lids on with candle wax instead of what they had to resort to here--which was to screw the lids on as tightly as they could and snap off the pumps.) But hopefully they would work.

White Magick - Cleanse and bless your space with this bestselling candle. A white candle scented with white tea and palo santo. Topped with jasmine flower, orange calcite, and green aventurine crystals for a happy home.

Sun Goddess - Inspired by Pagan sun dieties, this candle is sure to bring love and light into your life. A yellow candle scented with a tropical blend of banana, mango, grapefruit, and strawberry. Topped with golden healer quartz, calendula, chamomile, and sunflower to promote peace and happiness.
