❄️🌲Hello my Fae friends! I wished you a blessed Yule in my stories but I forgot to make a post, oops! How did you celebrate Yule this year? I’d love to hear all about it! I spoiled the wild ones (more than usual) lol! You might know that I’m a huge bird/squirrel/chipmunk lover so I feed and water them every single morning at sunrise. They always get plenty of food but they get extras like scoops of peanut butter, bowls of fruit and nuts and extra suet cakes on high holidays. Oh and egg shells! The Bluejays loooove eggshells! I also made sure to feed the Yule Cat, and spoiled my kitties with some treats. I walked outside and game thanks to all the trees on my property, especially Grandfather Oak. We’ve been getting some heavy wind storms and I’m just so grateful that none of my trees have fallen. I have so many woodpeckers and squirrels that live in the trees, I would hate for them to lose their homes right when it’s beginning to get really cold outside. Other than that, I just worked and carried on my day with a little extra fire in my heart. Thankful for the darkness. Thankful for the rest. 🎄🍄Christmas Pixies or Nisse is a household spirit that is responsible for the care and prosperity of the farm or family home. They were first spoke of hundreds of years ago in Scandinavia where many farms claimed to have their own Nisse. The Pixies took an interest in the farm by grooming the horses, locking gates, chasing the geese and chickens into their pens at night. And even though they are often helpful, they can also be quite temperamental and get into mischief. You want to be careful when reprimanding a Pixie! The last thing you want is them turning against you. That’s why it’s extremely important to keep them fed with warm porridge and butter, and special treats like jams and jellies on holidays such as Christmas. I like to give them flashy buttons and colorful pieces of yarn, it tends to keep them in a good mood for a while;)🌟 This candle is dedicated to our friends the Christmas Pixie. This particular one is a Holly Pixie, isn’t she cute?! You can probably imagine that these mugs were extremely hard to come by and I could only source 4, and out of the 4 only 1 is left. 🌟🎄🦌As much as we all love summer, you cannot deny the MAGIC that only winter can bring. The enchanting midnight hour when the snow looks violet and the stars appear to be almost at our earthly grasp. The tracks left by rabbits and the smell of wood chimneys, ah, it's magic! I remember playing outside in the snow for hours and hours and my mom would have a hard time convincing me to come inside, even when it was pitch black outside. There were 2 words that always did the trick. Hot. Cocoa. My mom makes the best hot cocoa because she always uses twice the amount of cocoa and twice the amount of sugar. I remember the year we thought to add mini chocolate bars and chocolate kisses to our mugs. Ah, yes, it's magic! This candle is dedicated to the Magic of Christmas. I took special care in collecting the vintage ornaments that adorn the top of this candle, they are handmade from Germany. I wanted to create a magical winter wonderland scene and I am very happy with the way it turned out, and it smells DIVINE! ✨🌲We could talk about the legends and folklore of pine trees for weeks on end and still not cover all of it. The Druids held the pine in high esteem. It’s one of the nine sacred woods used for a sabbat fire and were used as markers for gravesites long before stone. Some Celts still prefer to use pine trees instead of granite markers for their gravestones. The Celts and the Druids also recognized the pine to a portent of weather conditions. They notices that the cones would open to the rays of the sun, and close against impending rain or snow. Pine cones are famous for their symbology and used in countless pieces of artwork, religious texts, ancient carvings and so much more. Pine is also extremely medicinal. It’s resins and smoke used to treat respiratory strain long before new world medicine was thought of. And I think our spirits KNOW how special pine is, just from the reaction we experience when smelling the fresh sap or burning wood. I’m excited to bring these pine tree candles into the shop. Not only do they make beautiful accents but they smell divine! They are made from all natural beeswax and oils of pine. That’s it, nothing else. 🎄🦌I am so excited to share this candle with you! I just LOVE it! If you know me at all, you know I have a soft spot for kitschy vintage decor, and we’ll this IS kitschy vintage decor as a candle! *schwiiing* Unfortunately when it comes to the vintage mugs that I like to use, they are extremely hard to find so I can only make them in small quantities. I only have 4 of these beauties.🌟 They are made from organic soy wax and scented with the most DELICIOUS peppermint mocha oil I have ever experienced. And yes! It’s an experience! The peppermint and the chocolate smell so good you’ll want to eat it and there’s just a light coffee scent that makes it smell like a warm and cozy cafe.☕️ I used some of my beloved vintage decorations from Germany to decorate the top and I just LOVE how it looks! You have a big sparkly snowflake, a sisal tree, a shiny present and a festive spray of berries and such. And just like any candle that has decorations on the top, you absolutely MUST remove them before burning. And if you are giving one away as a gift, you absolutely MUST tell your friend to remove them also. One of my customers puts a battery operated tea lite on top of my candles so she can enjoy the “look” of them burning without actually lighting them! I think that’s such a great idea!🕯These and a few more candles will be listed in the shop tonight! And before I go, don’t forget to leave an offering out for the gnomes! They love seeds, berries, jam, unsalted peanuts and peanut butter. And even though gnomes love chocolate and liquor, it’s not safe to leave them out because it could kill an animal.
