Hi,
I’m interested in this kind path (kitchen witch). I’ve only read Sarah Robinson’s book on kitchen witch, but I felt like I need to learn more. Any tips for a baby witch? Also do I really have to be the best cook to be one??
Hi! You definitely do not have to be the best cook to be one. All you really need is an interest in it lol. The best place to start is by looking at recipe correspondence. You can also take cookbooks you already have, and use sticky notes to mark the ingredient correspondences. I think that's always a great place to start.
I feel the best way to learn something as a beginner is to read, so when I first started out, that's what I did. You can start with simple recipes with things you probably already have in your cabinet.
There's a lot of wonderful information on the internet and Tumblr about it! I also have a post about a bunch of little tips I've learned over the years that I'll link below.
50 KITCHEN WITCH TIPS TO MAKE YOU FEEL MORE WITCHY
Hope this helped a little!

Hi! I'm in love with your recipes and spells, and I was wondering if you had anything for success, specifically when it comes to jobs and job hunting? I've been doing small spells, but they've mostly been luck spells, just using moon salt to season my dishes and a couple other spices and herbs. My supplies and wallet are running low, and I've got what's potentially the most important interview in my career coming up.
The weather did not feel like being favorable when I asked for fair weather so there's that unfortunate already rip the universe decided to punish me for all my storm spells earlier in the month
Hi! Thank you so much! I wish you the best luck for your job interview ^_^
And I totally understand the weather thing, I live in a place that's always raining and storming haha.
The great thing about luck spells is they are very versatile, and heavily intention based. So whether you use a bunch of herbs and crystals or only a little. It usually has similar effects.
Here's a recipe!
Tumblr media
LUCKY LENTIL SOUP
This recipe helps in a change of luck, or gives you that boost you need! Whether it be a job interview, a new work environment, an exam, or if you feel like you've been having terrible luck recently. Give this a try!
Ingredients
Olive Oil
1 yellow onion
1 cup chopped carrots
4 cloves garlic ~ Remove Negative Energy
1 lemon
Salt and pepper
Fresh chopped Dill ~ luck, abundance, success
1 potato, cubed
1 1/2 cup lentils, soaked
2 boxes of chicken stock/vegetable stock
Shredded Kale
Grated Ginger ~ luck, healing, protection, prosperity
Basil flakes or fresh basil ~ prosperity, money, protection, success
1 red bell pepper
One bay leaf ~ luck, protection, wisdom, strength
1 tsp turmeric ~ vitality
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander ~ longevity, prosperity
1 tsp cumin ~ protection
Directions:
On medium heat, cook onion, garlic, red bell pepper, and carrots until fragrant and soft. Add broth, juice of half a lemon, potato, grated ginger (as much as you'd like), basil flakes, bay leaf, turmeric, coriander, salt, pepper, and cumin, along with your lentils. Let it come up to a slow boil, and then simmer for a little over half an hour on a lower heat with a lid on, or until lentils are cooked tender. You can add lemon slices to the top if desired.
Add in shredded kale, and cook until soft. About 3-5 minutes. Add more seasoning and lemon juice if desired.
Top with fresh dill. Enjoy!
Here are a bunch of little tips + a recipe that are pretty cheap to do:
Drinking Chai tea.
Draw some sigils of luck and success onto the fruit or food you are about to eat.
you can sew little sigils on the inside lining of your clothes (that way they stay hidden)
If you drink coffee, you could add a little cinnamon for good luck!
You can make makeshift spell jars with old empty jars, spice bottles, pencil lead containers, or empty mint boxes with anything that is green, a little bit of cinnamon, bay leaf, intention written down on paper, and your favorite crystal. Keep it in a pocket.
Ring magic is pretty nifty if it's subtle for a job interview. Simple things like wearing a ring on your middle(association with intelligence, rationality, and quick thinking), or thumb(Creativity, and inspiration). Bonus points if you give it an intention!
You could burn a green candle while thinking of your intentions.
Saturdays are the best day to cast luck spells
The afternoon is also a really good time for luck and career spells

Jolene's Emergency Vet Visit
Tumblr media
Description posted from GoFundMe Campaign:
So for those of you who gave followed me (and maybe seen the update) you'll know Salem has been missing for almost 6 months.
She was my ESA, and given my declining mental health, I didn't have much choice but to get a new ESA.
Enter miss Jolene Macchiato L. Whom I adopted almost two months ago and have whole heartedly decided to keep after realizing just how well we mesh.
You may also know I've been in the hospital the last few days - staying with my roommate who was admitted. I've been coming home to feed the cats and (unsuccessfully) treat them for ear mites. My new roommate was dog sitting and he brought fleas and ear mites into our home.
During this time, Jolene went to the bathroom on my bed multiple times. I at first chalked it up to stress and was told to keep an eye on here. Less than a day of being back from the hospital and her stool is light in color, runny, and most terrifyingly, has blood in it.
This is no longer an issue of stress, but could be a major intestinal/stomach problem when mixed with her inability to wait and use her litterbox. On top of that, she was running around like she was in pain, or something was wrong prior to going.
My second job is not a sure thing yet - it has been more than two weeks since the company reached out to me - and I have been looking for more. The money I thought I won was more a scam to get me down to the car dealership (which by the way, I hated as is because of the older man behaving increasingly grossly and inappropriate towards me).
My funding for Salem has stopped at this point - I have done every physical thing I can to find and bring her home. And now I need to focus on the new feline in my care.
I am taking Jolene to the vet tomorrow and using my new credit card - but there are limited funds and paying it back is my current concern when I have payments taking up to the 1,000s combined due these next two months.
I am setting it to $550 for now (because they take a portion), but the price my change depending on what the vet says and what is wrong.
I know she still need to get treated for ear mites ($300 on it's own) because the current medications I've been using are not working."
This is my fundraiser.
Additional pictures of her adoption papers added on here as well proving when I got her. JOLENE IS A REGISTERED ESA NOW.
Jolene as far as I have been told is two years old, though she is very small for her age. She is a sweet heart though she was likely on the streets for a most of not all her life before she was taken to the shelter and I adopted her a month later.
She is a sweet cat that just wants to check and make sure that you're okay. She'll cuddle. She doesn't meow but she does trill and sound like yoshi.
She just wants to make friends with everyone. And if you're not petting her enough then the grabs your hand and brings it right to her face as she stands on her back legs.
This is the last fundraiser I'm making. Ask anyone I know in real life and they'll tell you just how much I despise asking for help. I want to be able to do things on my own. But until I get one bite from the hundreds (literally) of jobs I've applied to as a secondary then I'm at a loss. I can't afford to wait and save up for this vet Visit - not when her health is on the line.
I can post a picture of her at the vets office tomorrow as well to confirm, along with the update of what they set.

LUGHNASADH SWEET CORNBREAD
Unlike regular cornbread, this is a more southern-style cornbread that's a lot sweeter than cornbread. But really good!
Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1 cup cornmeal
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 large eggs
A splash of cream
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
Pinch of sea salt
For The Honey Butter:
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup butter
Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine flour, cornmeal, baking soda, baking powder, and salt together. In a separate bowl mix butter, sugar, and honey together. Then, whisk in your eggs, cream, and buttermilk.
Pour dry ingredients in increments to wet ingredients until just combined making sure not to overmix. Pour into a buttered and floured baking dish.
Bake for about 40-50 minutes or until a toothpick/knife comes out clean when stuck in the middle. This was just will my oven so cook times could be different when it comes to you. Make sure after 30 minutes, you check every 10 minutes.
To make your honey butter just combine your melted butter with honey and mix.
Serve in squares and top with honey butter and a tab of salted butter on top.
Enjoy! Have a blessed Lughnasadh!

PAN-FRIED LUGHNASADH CHICKEN
A delicious chicken dish to serve at the dinner table!
INGREDIENTS:
4 bone-in skin-on chicken thighs
1 tsp onion powder
2 tsp thyme
Salt and Pepper
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp rosemary
4 cloves garlic
1/4 cup chicken broth/bone broth
3 slices of bacon (if you don't want to use bacon, you can always use a couple of tabs of butter in replacement)
Season your chicken with onion powder, thyme, salt, pepper, garlic powder, rosemary, and paprika, and let sit to marinate.
In a cast iron skillet fry your bacon. Drain and set bacon aside. With the bacon grease still in the pan, Sear your chicken for about 5 minutes on each side until browned. If there is too much bacon fat in the pan you can always strain a little out before adding in your chicken.
Remove the chicken from the pan. Add in chicken stock to remove all the crispy brown bits from the bottom of the pan. Add minced garlic, more salt and pepper, a sprig of fresh thyme, and a spring of fresh rosemary. Add back chicken and spoon sauce over them.
Put the pan in the oven at cook at 375F for 20-30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked.
Top chicken with bacon in the skillet and serve with a hearty serving of scalloped potatoes, and veggies.
Have a blessed Lughnasadh!

LUGHNASADH BLACKBERRY DANISHES
This recipe is surprisingly easy to make and can be eaten for dessert or breakfast. For Luhgnasagh, blackberries are just in season so it fits to use them.
Did you know?: Not only was Lughnasadh a time to honor the harvest, but was also treated as a festival for feasting, matchmaking, athletic competition, and trading back in the ancient pagan days.
INGREDIENTS:
store-bought puff pastry (you can always use your own)
1 cup blackberries
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp cornstarch
 4 oz softened cream cheese
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp almond extract
1 tbsp lemon juice
Powdered Sugar (to top)
Sliced almonds (to top)
DIRECTIONS:
Thaw out puff pastry dough. Preheat oven to 400 F.
To make the cream cheese filling, in a bowl combine, cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, lemon juice, and a slight bit of lemon zest together into a bowl. Mix until creamy and combined.
Macerate your blackberries by adding sugar, honey, and cornstarch to a bowl and let sit for 10 minutes.
Roll out pastry dough until thin and even. Cut into rectangles that are about 3 inches. You should have about 6-8 Danish Rectangles.
Using a knife, score the edges about 1/4 of an inch away from the very edges of the rectangle. Do not cut all the way through, you're only scoring the edges.
Add about a tbsp of the cream cheese mixture, and then a spoonful of the berries. Brush egg wash on the edges and sprinkle a tiny bit of sugar around the edges if wanted. Make sure to avoid adding too many berries, you should be able to see the cream cheese mixture from underneath.
Bake for 20 minutes, or until the edges are a nice golden brown.
Top with powdered sugar and sliced almonds. Enjoy!
Have a blessed Lughnasadh ^_^

50 KITCHEN WITCH TIPS TO MAKE YOU FEEL MORE WITCHY
(And other useful things I've learned over the years)
Hi! This is a list of dos, don'ts, tips, tricks, and other fun things that I've learned over the years. I always love finding more effective and efficient ways of doing things so if you have any cool things you'd like to add, leave them in the comments or reblog. I'd love to read it.
Anyways... On with the list ^_^
Light candles around your kitchen space (just make sure nothing flammable is near you)
Annotate your cookbooks with the correspondence of the ingredients.
Mediating is really good to calm the mind before cooking.
Cut oranges and lemons thinly, dry them, and hang them with twine around your kitchen
Need a cleansing tip? Open all your windows near your kitchen. Let some fresh air in.
Cutting sigils into apples, pie crusts, and carved potatoes.
Save lemon and orange rinds, freeze them, and then use them to clean the garbage disposal.
Make infused oils and honey: Things like garlic honey, lavender honey, herb oil, sun oil, moon oil, dandelion oil, and other different edible oils are very fun and useful to make.
Hid sigils in pages of your cookbooks and kitchen witch journals.
Add some plants! Snake plants and spider plants don't need too much light, and growing your own herbs in your kitchen is awesome too. Basil, lavender, thyme, aloe vera, rosemary, etc. are good fits. You could also add some plants that require more sunlight on the kitchen window sill. Like cacti and succulents.
Bring crystals into your kitchen space such as rose quartz, clear quartz, amethyst, or whatever you want the space's intentions to be.
I keep a small money tree on the sill, along with cacti for luck and protection.
Make a simmer Pot! Mostly because it makes the whole house smell good, easy, and fun.
Stir clockwise for best results!
Learning how to pickle things is actually pretty witchy. Plus, anyone could do it as it requires absolutely no kitchen experience. You could pickle any vegetable, even if you don't like pickles. I originally learned this after having to take shelter from a natural disaster. A person brought a bunch of stuff and taught us how to pickle things with different spices and herbs. Very fun!
Decorate your kitchen with your favorite stuff. Crystals, decor, heat mits, that cool mushroom cake stand you've been eyeing at the World Market for the past 2 weeks, cool looking curtains, sun catchers. Why stop there? Paint the walls, hang shelves full of marked-up cookbooks that are a little too well-loved and thumbed through.
Wanna be the person that has the amazing-smelling house every time people come over? Syrups take some time to simmer down, it's actually a pretty good time to leave it on the stove to simmer. Since syrups have a lot of aromatic ingredients, it acts as a really good-smelling simmer pot.
Hang up herbs to dry with twine from cabinets that are rarely used.
Invest in that new set of plates and cups.
Homemade jams, butter, sauces, and syrups are your best friend.
Crochet or knit your own dish rags, pot holders, etc.
Don't pour extremely hot things into a glass that's not Pyrex, it will break, and you will be very sad about it.
Don't cook anything while extremely upset or emotional (For safety reasons)
Make recipes you want to make, not just because you'll like the effect. Make it because you think it's tasty.
Chinese Five Spice works in place of herbs for protection and luck spells a lot of the time! It's cheaper to buy 1 spice than 4 different spices that total up to 15 dollars when you could just spend 3-4 dollars.
Take a shower before cooking (I don't know how to explain this one other than it makes you feel better)
Don't use microfiber/plastic material clothes on hot burners, it will fuse to the burner and melt. It is VERY hard to get off.
I don't know if I need to put this one but I did see someone do it so nonstick pan = wooden utensils and plastic utensils, metal pan = metal utensils. Do not use a metal spoon in a nonstick pan, please. It can make you very sick.
Keep your pets away from hot oil, open ovens, and hot pans.
You can proof bread dough in the fridge overnight if you don't have the time to bake, or want to eat fresh bread right in the morning.
Need a quick witchy meal for dinner in 12 minutes? Use premade tomato pasta sauce and doctor it up with thyme, rosemary, and garlic, for protection and distilling stagnant energies. Serve with pasta of your liking.
You can substitute Butter for Crisco/shortening, buttermilk for 1 cup of milk + 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar or lemon juice, and heavy cream for 1 cup of half and half plus 2 tbsp of butter.
Use leftover animal bones to make bone broth
Teach yourself the art of bread scoring (It's fun, and you can show it off to your loved ones!)
Collect and hoard your own and others' family recipes.
Sometimes the food doesn't have to be a spell, sometimes it just makes you feel good and you don't know why.
Listen to your favorite music in the kitchen, it makes the monotonous things like chopping veggies move faster.
Invest in a vegetable chopper if you don't like chopping vegetables.
Find a really good hot cocoa recipe and make it once a week. Master it. Just for your own happiness because hot cocoa is really good. You could also be the friend/family member that makes the best hot cocoa ever.
Focaccia Bread Lasts a very long time, and it's very easy to make!
Keep a first aid kit near where the oven is, in case of burns, cuts, or serious injuries where time is everything.
Quick Bread and no-rise loaves are simple for beginners, tasty, and take little time. They also feel very witchy to make.
Study a bit of Herbalism! It's fun and really helps better understand the herbs you're putting into your food.
While something is boiling, put your wooden spoon over the pot to minimize the chance of something boiling over.
Try a bit of coffee magick, it's simple to get into, and gives you a boost of energy to take on the day!
If you're over 21, wine-making is a very interesting way to celebrate the sabbats. Just with that, make sure you KNOW what you're doing. With anything fermented, there's always a risk if you don't store things correctly. Apple wines, strawberry wines, dandelion wines, etc. all very cool to experiment with. If you're not over 21, vinegar is a similar way to experiment.
Hang up some witchy things, sigils, photos, cool magnets, and other things that give you joy on your fridge. (Sometimes if you are lucky they have some fun magnets at five below)
If you live in the US, for some reason, there are a lot of books in the book section dedicated to witchcraft and spirituality. At least where I live. And they are all under 5 dollars!
Teas are the cheapest and easiest things you can practice being a kitchen witch.

WITCHY SAGE BUTTER ROLLS
These things are really like garlic rolls meet cinnamon rolls but with delicious sage butter!
They are perfect if you have a little extra time on your hands, and can be served alone or with a dinner, stew, or any type of soup and it pairs pretty well.
Quite the crowd pleaser ^_^
INGREDIENTS
For the Tangzhong:
2 tablespoons  bread flour
2 tablespoons water
4 tablespoons whole milk
For the Bread:
4 cups Bread flour
4 tbsp sugar
1/3 cup milk
A full packet of Instant Dry Yeast
2 large eggs
Half a stick of Salted butter
Pinch of Salt
For the Egg Wash:
1 large egg
1 tbsp water
For the Sage Butter:
7 tbsp Salted butter
1 tsp garlic salt
2 tsp ground sage
1 tsp thyme
2 cloves minced garlic
DIRECTIONS:
Heat the Tangzhong ingredients over medium heat until they become very thick, about the consistency of a very thick brownie batter. It should be congealed enough so that it doesn't slide off the spatula very easily. This should take no longer than 5 minutes. Let it cool down completely (If you add it in hot, you will risk killing the yeast and the bread will not rise.
(What is Tangzhong?) Its a mixture of flour, milk, water that really steps up your game when it comes to the fluffiness of the rolls. Once you try adding this to your basic breads, you wont go back!
Bloom yeast in warm milk (Put in the microwave for about 15 seconds, it should be lukewarm, not hot. Add Flour, a pinch of salt, and sugar into a stand mixer with the dough hook attachment.
Crack egg and milk into the yeast and with the stand mixer’s dough hook attachment, mix into the flour mixture. Add in Tangzhong. Add butter 1 tablespoon at a time and mix until the dough is elastic. Then mix for another 5 minutes. If the dough looks too dry, add a tablespoon of water, and repeat until smooth. If it is too liquidy, add a couple pinches of flour.
Put the bread dough in a lightly greased medium bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise at room temperature for 2 hours. In the meantime, make your sage butter by beating your salted butter, garlic, and herbs.
Flour the workspace and roll the dough flat to about 1/4 inch thick. Smear all of your butter mixture onto the dough. Roll as you would a cinnamon roll, from the widest side of the rectangle to the other side.
Cover for 2 more hours for them to proof. Then combine egg and water to form your egg wash and brush it onto the rolls briefly before putting it in the oven. Put in the oven at 350 F for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Enjoy!

WITCHY BREADED COCONUT CHICKEN TENDERS
(For Protection)
Is there really anything better in this world than tea, plants, crystals, and chicken tenders?
This is kind of the adult version of the chicken tenders I grew up on as a kid. It's my go-to on nights I get home late, and don't have the time to plan out a lavish meal lol.
Anyways hope you enjoy it!
Ingredients:
A little over a pound of chicken tenderloins
1/2 cup shredded coconut - Protection, Purify
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup flour
1 tbsp paprika - Energy
1 tbsp garlic powder - Warding, Protection, Healing
1 tsp onion powder - Absorb Negative Energies
1 tsp chili powder - Warding, Protection
Salt and Pepper - Banish Negative Energy
2 eggs + 1 tsp water
To Serve:
A Salad of mixed dark leafy greens
A dipping sauce of your choice
Directions:
Combine Panko bread crumbs and shredded coconut onto a plate. On another plate, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and salt and pepper.
Beat your 2 eggs, add water, and leave out in a bowl of some kind. Salt and pepper your chicken tenderloins. First, take the chicken tenderloins one by one and dip them into the flour mixture. Then the egg mixture, and lastly, dipping them into the coconut bread crumbs. Put onto some sort of baking sheet.
You can either bake, air fry, or fry these. I recommend frying or air frying!
Frying: In a deep pan add about 1 inch deep of oil. When oil is hot, fry for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until cooked.
Air Fryer: Cook at 400 F in the air fryer for about 12 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until cooked.
Baking: Bake at 375 F for 20-30 minutes, or until cooked. They should be a nice crispy brown color.
Serve to overtop a nice plate of leafy greens, and use either a dressing or a sauce for dipping.
Enjoy!

RECIPES I KEEP IN MY ONLINE KITCHEN WITCH JOURNAL #2
I love making these oh my gosh.

It's really fun
It's been a while since my last one

Angel's Best
(my favorite recipe posts I've made over the years, plus backstories that sound like your grandmother's reminiscing over the past.)
LATE WINTER BUTTER ROLLS
My first post I ever made. I was pretty new to the tumblr community at the time. I loved kitchen witchcraft, and I'm the type of person who will ramble on about how much I love cooking and baking. This blog gave me an outlet to express my love of cooking, baking, paganism, and witcraft. And these rolls are very tasty, I make them to this day!
WITCHY TOMATO BASIL SOUP
Tasty, simple, and a crowd-pleaser. It's perfect for a beginner kitchen witch! It was also the second recipe I ever posted.
SWEET CREAM BUNS
It was a recipe given to me by one of my good friends at the time. Every time I make it, it gets devoured in less than 10 minutes. It was also my first recipe to get over 50 notes. I was shocked but ecstatic that so many people would even give it the time of day lol.
WITCHY THUMBPRINT COOKIES
These ones were just fun to make and delicious lol.
A WITCH’S COZY BUTTERNUT WINTER SOUP
A quick soup that feeds a lot of people during the fall season. Fall is my favorite season, so of course I'm very biased lol.
SAMHAIN PUMPKIN BREAD
I love pumpkin bread and apple cider... So why not combine the two? This one was definitely one of my favorites of all time. Moist pumpkin bread and chocolate chips have to be one of my favorite things on this planet. It also makes for the perfect gift for friends and family. Yummy!
ANGEL’S AWARD-WINNING LEMON POPPY SEED BREAD
I love dessert loaves of any kind, so naturally, this would be on the list lol.
MAPLE BUTTER COOKIES
Super simple comfort food! I love any time of cookie with brown sugar.
BRING ME POSITIVITY PECAN FRENCH TOAST BAKE
I love French toast, and I love positivity~
SAMHAIN SOUL CAKES RECIPE
These are really good! And traditional. If you celebrate Samhain, I recommend you make some soul cakes and have friends and family help decorate. I give the littles a bag of orange frosting and let them go crazy lol.

FEEL BETTER CHICKEN SOUP
Today I woke up and felt a little ill. So I decided to make myself some good old feel-better chicken soup.
Being mixed, I've always grown up with two different versions of chicken noodle soup, so eventually when I grew up I just combined the two! Hispanic chicken soup usually uses tomatoes sazón, adobo, chicken thigh, lemon, and rice, but American chicken soup usually uses noodles, chicken breast, plain broth, salt, pepper, and celery.
So here's one way to twist the two together.
This recipe is pretty easy to make when you don't have a lot of energy because there is about an hour and a half of cooking where you can just sit down and relax while doing it.
3-4 Chicken Thighs or Legs (I prefer bone-in because it has more flavor and is more tender.)
3 tbsp Garlic honey (works well if fermented, it's fun and easy to make your own!) - Healing, Protection, Purification
One Goya Sazon Packet
1 Bay Leaf - Protection, Healing, Purification
1/2 Cup Baby Carrots (You could just chop up a regular carrot too lol)
1 yellow Onion
2 tsp grated Ginger - Cleansing, Energy, Healing
Half a bag of egg noodles (You could also use rice) - Longevity
4 cups chicken broth
2 green onions
Chicken Seasoning:
4 cloves garlic  - Protection, Healing
1/8 cup chopped parsley - Protection, Strength
1/2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp adobo seasoning
1 tbsp thyme - Healing, Abundance, Health, Prosperity
2 tsp basil flakes - Abundance, Prosperity
1 tsp red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper - Banish Negative Energy
Juice of half a lemon - For Healing
Hot Scallion Oil:
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp green onion
DIRECTIONS:
Blend the chicken seasonings listed above in a blender or in a mortar and pestle. Whichever you prefer. Rub on chicken and fry in a pot with oil until each side is browned. About 4 minutes on each side.
Add in yellow onion, ginger, and garlic honey, and cook until soft. Add in carrots and chicken stock. Add in Bay leaf and goya season packet. Cook for about an hour.
Add in green onions, and taste if the soup needs more seasoning. If it does, season to taste. Simmer for another 20 minutes.
When the chicken is tender enough to where it is falling off the bone, remove the chicken from the bone and discard the bones and bay leaf.
Add in egg noodles and cook for 7-9 minutes with the lid on, until the noodles are cooked.
Heat up 2 tbsp of oil until very hot. Add in green onion and cook for a little under a minute.
Laddel soup into a bowl and top with a spoonful of scallions and scallion oil.
Enjoy!
Editors Note: I'll never understand how people take such aesthetic photos of food loll.
