You wanna know what's crazy? Now knowing that Laura and Marisha didn't plan to be romantic this campaign at all, it is INSANE that everything went so perfectly, thematically, exactly the way it did.

The series of events from the rock breaking, Dusk showing up RIGHT as it was happening, to them making up just so Otohan could show up and kill Laudna not a DAY later literally because she wanted to get on Imogen's nerves ("Is she your favorite?"). And then Imogen obliterating Delilah with her own fucking hands for Laudna. Getting the circlet. Laudna holding Imogen on the ship they were about to crash having that Tether Talk^tm just before they were separated ONCE AGAIN.

Just the entire escalation that led to them meeting in Jrusar that day and Imogen blurting out "Can I kiss you?" in the mfing BREAD ISLE because she couldn't hold back her feelings is BONKERS.

Even down to Imogen saying she "thought dates were supposed to have sparks" after their date with pretty and telling Laudna she "has the biggest spark she's ever seen" a long ass time later in Bassuras.

The evolution of their feelings for each other, the tension that was building on that table every time they talked to each other. The fact that it all happened serendipitously with absolutely no previous plan and it went just the way it did? Immaculate. Showstopping. Absolutely astounding. If Marisha, Matt and Laura had sat down and planned this whole thing from the beginning it still couldn't have gone more perfectly.

It’s so funny that Essek was taken aback by Fearne summoning Teven, but if you’d asked me before this episode (or at least before Fearne met him), “which party would be more likely to randomly summon the champion of a betrayer god out of thin air without warning?” I would have immediately answered “The Mighty Nein”. 

I love the implications of this. I love the idea that the Nein’s antics might STILL throw Essek years later, but isn’t that also why he loves them so much? Didn’t they win him over by relentless friendship mixed with absolute batshit amounts of chaos? 

On the other hand, I can also imagine a world where yes, Essek totally would have expected this from the Nein - but he never expected any other adventuring party to be as ridiculous as his friends. 

This poor drow will never escape the confines of being trapped within the indignity of a game of dnd, and I love that for him.

that bell isn't rendered in rachel's usual style, it's very cell shady with zero texture

but no, no, don't do this puff, you're just being paranoid, it's just a silly little bell, are you really jumping to the conclusion that rachel and her team didn't draw this just because it looks a little off???

The robotniks make me lose it to think about. the way Eggman views his creations, gives them sentience, and then manipulates and twists their emotions into loyalty, his love being born of pride ,his clear favoritism, the implications of how he looks back on Maria and whatever family he was raised by almost with envy and jealousy, his idealization of Gerald leading to eggmans biggest instance of sincerity and reflectiveness to date after SA2 (and just all of Geralds shit in general .how his love for shadow was still born out of ulterior motivations and ultimately when it came down to it how he didn’t view shadow as a person with autonomy and was willing to hurt and use him as a vessel for own grief and revenge, knowing he was sending him on a suicide mission after manipulating his last memories of his dying sister or whatever. fuck Gerald) shadow’s complicated interactions with Eggman throughout the series, Sage repeating the pattern of self-sacrifice in a way that mirrors Gerald and Shadow’s relationship, robotnik kids’ tendency for martyrism in general!! the fact that Sage will still be working for Eggman against the planet and people she learned to care for because!!! She loves her dad and it’s a sincere love between them but she is still something to be used by eggman and even though she has respect for sonic she will be put in a position of loyalty vs morality no matter what because she just wants to be loved and be a family!!!  Messed up!

The basic concept is that the world is in disarray and has fallen into an apocalypse due to the effects of blot on mages/magical creatures producing more Overblots than ever before, which has forced those living in this new world to adapt and evolve in order to survive. This means building strong, sturdy compounds and using any means necessary to stay afloat (moral compasses are very skewed and corrupt in this au). Additionally, since women are now seen as a precious resource, they are kept within the compounds for the sake of reproduction. There are seven major compounds: Heartslabyul, Savanaclaw, Octavinelle, Scarabia, Pomefiore, Ignihyde, and Diasomnia, all with their own sets of regulations, traditions, and ways of living. Noble Bell is technically a compound of its own, with Rollo as the leader, and RSA also counts as a compound. But we haven't touched much on both yet!

i always acknowledged that my fav part of writing fic was getting to see people interact/react to it, but i really didn't really think that my writing was necessarily motivated by it. in hindsight, when feedback/interaction started dropping on my fics a few months ago i unconsciously started feeling less motivated to write, and nowadays not only am i writing less but half of the fics i do finish i end up not posting because i sit back and think "mmm no one is gonna care about this." i'm not looking for sympathy, or reassurance, or any kind words, and this is not me trying to guilt silent readers or beg for interaction - at the end of the day i either will or won't post and realistically it's normal to grow out of fandom spaces - but here's just another voice reminding you if you ever wonder why the writers you like leave, it might in some part be because of this.
