it's nearly 5am. do u ever wonder about how class 1A first reacted to deku calling bkg "kacchan". like before they knew that the two had history. before they had a sliver of context though I imagine it just made things more confusing. just a teenage guy calling another teenage guy (who's incredibly rabid at the start of the series, entirely self absorbed, arrogant, and unapproachable) this adorable, childish pet name with very friendly, almost intimate connotations. and it's plain to see that they have the worst visible relationship known to man. there's nothing that sparks joy at the moment. this so-called "kacchan" is going to bite midoriya's head off but he doesn't tell midoriya to stop. like what the fuck. imagine being 1A. imagine being kirishima, day 1, hearing that for the first time. imagine what went through his head. this guy called bakugou what now? and he got away with it?

Mom: *grabs small Jane Austen present for me*
Grandma: *takes it from her to pay for it*
Mom: is this a conspiracy? Hello? What's going on???
Idk, it was just funny to me that my grandma and I both did that without knowing the other one did it xD

Who Are You?
This prompter wanted to see Nancy's first day back t school after Barb died and well, I live to serve. So, this is a short story about Nancy's first day back with as always some ronance.
Do you have any prompts yourself? Or do you want to dive into what I wrote before? You can read my previous prompts or send me some new ones.
The last place Nancy wanted to be right now was school. She wanted to crawl into her bed and never get out anymore. She might have been able to convince her mom to keep her home. But she also really didn’t want to be alone.
So, here she was. Walking the halls of Hawkins High with no one by her side. She missed having Barb with her. She was glad Steve hadn’t approached. She felt slightly conflicted about Jonathan. Maybe she wouldn’t push him away.
She turned the corner, seeing Jonathan standing at his locker. She turned around, walking back. Maybe she didn’t want him around anyway.
Somehow, she felt even more lonely than she did at 3 AM in her bedroom. That was the last thing she had expected. She should have stayed home. Maybe she would have been able to fall asleep by the light of the day, because at night she surely couldn’t. She kept seeing… well, all of it, whenever she closed her eyes.
She hadn’t been watching out, that was for sure. That was the reason she bumped into another girl, full force, books tumbling over the ground.
“Fuck, sorry. I wasn’t watching where I was going. If I had been I clearly wouldn’t have run into you. I’m really sorry,” the girl rambled on, falling to her knees to pick up Nancy’s notebook.
“It’s fine. I wasn’t really watching out either.”
She wasn’t in the mood to talk. She wasn’t in the mood for much of anything. She just wanted to get her stuff back and get out of here. She’d skip the rest of the day.
“Maybe not, but you’re— You’re Nancy Wheeler?” The girl was looking up at her now, with wide eyes and a tiny smile.
Nancy nodded. “Perceptive.”
“Sorry, I didn’t mean for it to sound bad or something. I just— Are you okay?”
“Who are you?” Nancy asked with a stern voice as the girl stood up, holding her books. She knew she had seen the girl before, knew she should know her name, but she didn’t. And right now, she really didn’t care.
“Robin. Robin Buckley. I’m in your chemistry class.”
Nancy hummed, pulling her books out of Robin’s hands.
“It’s just that— Look, I know about Barb—”
“What the hell do you know about Barb?”
“Sorry, I didn’t mean— I just meant that I used to know her, we used to be friends. Back in elementary school. You were friends with Amy and Becky back then, before they became bitches. Shit, that’s not very nice of me to say. I just meant, I know she’s… missing and I know you guys were super close and I— I guess I just wanted to see if you were alright.”
“I’m fine. It really isn’t—” She wasn’t sure what she was going to say. That it wasn’t Robin’s business. That she didn’t want to talk about it. She was already lying by saying she was fine.
“No, I get it. It’s not of my business. I just know it can’t be easy. And I don’t mean any offense by this, but I don’t think Steve Harrington is the best listener.”
Nancy chuckled. “No, not particularly.” She barely realized what she was doing. That there was the shadow of a laugh on her lips. She hadn’t laughed since Barb. Since that night, really. She shouldn’t be laughing now.
“So, what I’m saying is that, if you ever need anyone to listen or to talk to…” Robin pointed at herself.
“Got it,” Nancy said, with a soft smile on her face.
“Good.” Robin nodded her head. “Well, then I’ll go.” She pointed with her thumb behind herself.
“Wait, Robin?”
“Yeah?”
“I— I could kind of use someone right now?”
“Alright, yeah, sure.” Robin looked at her expectantly.
Nancy grabbed her hand and led her outside.

Okay fuck it yeah I'm making the post idc abt backlash. First of all the hidden agenda fandom doesn't exist anymore so whos even gonna have an issue. But if you do feel called out um. Maybe thats ur problem idk bc I'm not aiming at anyone in particular here.
Anyway long ass ramble abt the tiny dead Hidden Agenda fandom below the cut
This is mainly something I noticed looking through the very limited amount of Hidden Agenda fics on ao3, but it's VERY obvious on there. The vast majority of fics on there are centered on Adam and Finn, which I can understand more since they have an interesting backstory and are well written characters, sure. But then you look at the others and the other characters that are centered are... Riggs and Calvary?
In the actual game ofc Becky and Felicity are the main characters. Both of them not only are pretty objectively interesting characters on their own, and even more so together. On top of this they have the most shipping potential of any two characters in that game, it's literally basically canon, it's not even subtext atp it's literally just text. NO other two characters have that amount of chemistry in the game, and yet there is a noticeable lack of gravey fics in that tag. And I'll stress again bc I know how defensive people got last time I made this kind of observation, I'm not pointing fingers or calling anyone misogynistic/racist/homophobic BUT. but. When the two mcs are women, one of which is poc, and they're implied to be lesbians, and they get sidelined by the fandom despite being the focuses of the game... it's kinda hard not to assume there's some kind of bias there.
And on another point, it's similar when it comes to supporting characters too. In a way I'm disappointed but absolutely not surprised that Adam/Finn is prioritized in fan works over Becky/Felicity, but when characters like Riggs and Calvary are also given more attention than them it becomes way more suspicious to me. Riggs is a fine character, I like him enough and I can see why others might like him more, but wbk he doesn't really have all that much relevance. Calvary is even more confusing bc he basically JUST exists to be a creepy misogynistic asshole and as unlikeable as possible. Thankfully I haven't seen him getting a lot of attention but the fact that I've seen him getting any that isn't entirely negative is... hm...
Now there ARE in fact male characters that can be both relevant and likeable: Tom and Karl. (I talk shit abt Karl bc it's a joke I started with friends, I'm gonna drop that for this post obv bc we're being fr here) these two are pretty obviously more relevant than Riggs or Calvary, they're literally Becky's partners (Tom can even replace Riggs' entire role lmao, and if he's replaced himself it's by Karl) and I'd say they're also both likeable characters on their own too. And yet I'm pretty sure I found maybe one??? fic with them in it? Probably should have mentioned this earlier but yeah, they're both poc.
So like... I feel like it all comes down to what Becky/Felicity/Tom/Karl have in common and then what Adam/Finn/Riggs/Calvary have in common. It strikes me as questionable. But like maybe I'm just an annoying snowflake though idk🤷‍♀️ /s
This turned into more of a ramble than anything and I'm aware i'm also yelling into a void bc I'm posting entirely for a dead fandom that barely existed to begin with, but tbh this stuff applies to most if not all larger fandoms as well, i'm just looking at it from what I've seen in the remnants of the HA fandom. Again I am not attacking anyone here, I am making observations. If you're like mad or something I'm just gonna assume you didn't even read the whole post. Yes ur allowed to like characters, but I am also allowed to address what I've noticed about what characters seem to be more liked than others.

Hey, so idk if you've known or touch this topic, but for a while crap kept coming up about how the animation industry is dominated by students who attended CalARTs. I've seen people call it the school disney created. A lot of people have said how unfair it is that all CalART alumni get first dibs into access into the industry. Now, when that issue was going on and was all over my tumblr dash I saw people say "I got hired cause I'm popular online!" And seeing people stress having an online portfolio accessible. Ok, here's what I want to bring up. Rebecca Sugar graduated from the school of visual arts. So, at the time people had said she got a "full ride" scholarship cause in hs she won so many contests and her stuff was being used in AP examples (for her art). I am aware that school is pricey, just Sugar was like the notable alumni that didn't go to CalARTs who had a successful show. Now, I will admit that I did see people shade Sugar for going to SVA (lmao, who cares), but you gotta admit, she did well. This is just theories, but I feel like those people we talk about, are just salty since they want to make it big like Becky. I didn't even know about Dana being an AH towards other students, and we've all seen how Viv treats people. Ok, sorry. Didn't want to do a weird rambling post. Just I feel like ever since SU people (graduates to clarify) feel like now SVA alumni should be big shots now. And you're so right. It's like a high-school drama in the industry.
I think, regardless of how everyone got where they are, Sugar's one of the good ones. Remember when she was getting absolutely abhorrent hatemail and her response was to make this?
youtube
Meanwhile, Vivzie likes tweets calling her critics "subhumans," frequently accuses anyone who doesn't like her show of being a homophobe, and looks the other way when her fans are throwing rape jokes at artists who do redesigns.

i surface from time to time waving the chuck won theory flag and i’m back again babeyyyyy
*the following is an utter denial of that heaven endgame and that cas is there so if you don’t agree with that then this post may not be for you!
Let’s talk about this shot.
Tumblr media
This shot... makes me feral. Especially knowing 15x04 was the first episode they shot for the season.
This shot is why I just cannot accept the fact that they are actually in Heaven, nor that Cas is there.
Let’s start here. The fireplace mantle.
Tumblr media
This mantle is like an adult toy shelf. We’ve already been in Becky’s space where she’s creating things that are like “toys”. They’re models, sets, other merch items. But here, it’s all decoration. You have funko pop stuff action figures — toys. It’s all toys up there. It’s a toy shelf.
While they’re talking about Chuck getting his motivation and inspiration back, he takes the little Sam one down, fiddles with it, and puts it back in the opposite direction.
There is also some Cas ones up there.
It’s a toy shelf.
A lot of folks will say that the presence of Cas at that Road House means he’s in Heaven, but in my one on one with Misha he said that Jimmy was supposed to be dressed as Cas.
To me, this plays into the theory that Chuck just cannot control Cas whatsoever and it’s only gotten worse as time goes on. He can’t even create a fake Cas. The only way to do so is to pull over his vessel who’s in Heaven and dress him like Cas. The last time we saw Jimmy he was not wearing the coat and tie. So putting him in this outfit would have really signaled to us that something is wrong.
More on that in a bit. Stick a pin in that. It’s a big reason why I don’t believe Cas is with Dean by the end, nor do I want him to be.
But going back to the toy shelf — look at this at the end.
Tumblr media
I always forget her family photo is on this toy shelf.
In talking with friends about the Chuck Won theory, I use the metaphor of Chuck putting Dean and Sam up on the ‘toy shelf’ bc he’s done playing with them. Much like this toy shelf here.
But that does not mean they’re dead. And this family portrait up there is why.
Chuck by the end of the episode Thanos’ed Becky’s family and then her. But before he dusts her, they have this exchange:
BECKY: No! The kids.
CHUCK: Oh, don’t worry. They’re not dead. They’re just away.
Sam and Dean aren’t dead, they’re just away. They’re put back up on the shelf. Chuck is done with them.
The shelf itself? The Empty.
My poor friends have had to listen to me ramble and rant about this theory that Chuck and The Empty were working together, and that’s how Chuck managed to get the plot going in his favor.
This right here is why I think that.
Tumblr media
The Chess Board TM
Right now the game is not in play. Everyone is set at their starting positions, where they know to be. The position that esablishes their role. Chuck at this point in the narrative doesn’t know where to go or how to start in that direction, so the game is not yet in motion.
But there’s a chessboard regardless right in the foreground of the shot [thanks jackles] and that’s another metaphor I keep mumbling about to my poor friends.
If the toy shelf is The Empty, then the chess board is Chuck’s plan; his game.
In constantly thinking about the Chuck Won theory, I think about who’s left on the field — and no one is.
Chuck managed to get rid of every threat against him by the end of the show. And, if he’s in cahoots with The Empty, then he knows about Cas’ deal. He knows he can’t tell Cas what to do, but he can put Cas in a situation that’d force him to act.
So now we got:
Billie — who already didn’t like the brothers, Dean in particular all that much, antagonized against Dean after Dean hits her with the thingy thing she has idk I can’t spell it. Chuck starts dusting people, Dean thinks it’s her. They have a forced hostile relationship, thus putting Dean in a lot of danger. Chuck knows the only way to contain her is to get the Empty down there to get her but there’s no way to do that — unless —
Cas — Putting Dean in a situation where his life is in danger like that would automatically cause Cas to respond. Chuck may not be able to control him but ‘too much heart’ was always Cas’ problem, and while it’s a strength it’s also a weakness that can be exploited at times. So, put Dean in a position where he’s about to die, Cas is going to call The Empty down to get Billie and sacrifice himself in order to save Dean.
So now Chuck got rid of two threats and they’re gonna be kept there by The Empty who’s working with him.
Jack — The Empty, working with Chuck, is leading Billie on a little bit with this plan that Jack can be Thee Solution TM but here’s how to do it. However, the plan wasn’t actually to defeat Chuck, it was to prime a vessel for him. If you can’t beat Jack, join him — by... possessing him. In my opinion, this season was about preparing Jack to be a vessel, not to defeat Chuck. Why I think this is because Jack had a monolouge at the end of 1519, but the ‘villain’ in 15x20, Jenny, had 8 words. Jack to Chuck is the villain. But also, ironically, Chuck is the villain to OUR protagonists, and Chuck also knows that. So Jack-Chuck got the monologue, and said ‘Chuck [myself] wrote himself into the narrative, that was his mistake.’ So essentially, Chuck nabbed himself a new ride and is off to the races.
Amara — Chuck appealed to her sense of love for humanity and this idea of love as a weakness in general and basically silver tongued his way into getting her to join up with him. How on earth did the boys defeat Chuck when he’s literally at full power now? But anyways.
Michael — I don’t think Michael was AS big of a threat but likely Chuck knew that Michael could be talked into doing the right thing by Adam. But literally just in case as an insurance policy, he feeds Michael and pulls down Lucifer to feed to Jack so Jack can get strengthened up. Adam, his moral compass, is also gone, making it easier.
Dean, Sam — Just... put them back on the toy shelf. They believe they defeated the bad guy, and just go back to life as normal. Almost way too normal. Like a deep regression. Get Dean out of the way first bc his death was always going to be tragic bc Chuck likes that shit. Sam can live his little life or whatever and then he can bite the big one and go join Dean and they have no idea that they aren’t, actually, in Heaven or reality at all.
So that’s the chessboard cleared, and Chuck’s calling Check Mate.
*another side tangent — a lot of folks write off 15x01 to 15x03 but if you take into consideration what was going on, in a broad sense, you get a bunch of souls, trapped in a bubble, trying to escape. And wouldn’t that just be fitting for a continuation?
Some other things I wanted to note:
I don’t believe Cas is in heaven. For one thing, narrative wise, makes no sense. There’s no Empty rescue, there’s no reason to believe he got out on his own. The Empty CAN hold humans, they just don’t default to The Empty. But Billie threatened to throw them in there so — The Empty can hold humans so even Cas’ fading grace wouldn’t have had an impact. In all the times Cas has died we have had to wait a very long time to see him again. There’s just one time, the season 5 finale, where we didn’t. Otherwise: Season 4-5 hiatus, Season 7, Season 7-8 hiatus, season 12-13 hiatus and subsequent episodes etc etc. To me, bringing Cas back for 15x20 kind of dulls the impact of 1518 which was just one episode prior. There’s just 15x19 between them [and no even if there was a 22-23 episode season it’s still not enough time]. There’s no effort made to get him. Plot beat wise, it makes literally no sense for him to just magically appear like haha hey waddup it’s ya boi skinny penis
But also, going along with the Chuck Won theory — Bobby had said that ‘Cas helped’ Jack fix up Heaven. How... in the fuck... did Jack get Cas out of The Empty? How. The Empty hates HATES both of them. ABSOLUTELY Hates them.
Also, Jack said basically he was going to be hands off, and I’d imagine that includes plucking people down from The Empty.
However, you know who does pluck people out of The Empty? Chuck. Though no, I don’t think Chuck took Cas out of The Empty either.
But also, The Empty is loud! Everything is awake! We have no reason to believe it’s not because we weren’t given evidence that anything happened up there. Where we left off was: Cas and Billie taken ALIVE to The Empty which is awake and loud now. Nothing else.
And Jack MADE it loud. The Empty hates Jack, The Empty hates that Cas keeps getting away — they’re not going to just walk in and walk out.
So that made no sense to me.
But also on another note: In 15x02 they managed to sneak in that VERY pointed and thematic line of “You asked what about this is real? We are” from Cas.
Cas is the ONLY one who has escaped the narrative. It’s why Chuck hates him so much. Cas is the beacon of ‘real’. He’s the truth, he’s the antithesis of Chuck. He’s the Free Will guy and Chuck is the Puppet Strings Guy.
The reason why, if the Chuck Won theory is correct, I don’t want Cas in “Heaven” is because I don’t want Dean to ever EVER EVER question if Cas is real or not. I don’t want him, if Cas is rescued and they all live happily ever after, to constantly be worried at night that he’s still locked up somewhere and whatever is happening isn’t actually happening.
Cas has to remain this beacon of truth. Chuck can’t recreate him or make an imitation. Cas has to be able to exist as someone Dean can look at and go ‘Real’. So if Chuck Won is correct, and they’re really not in heaven and it’s all a mirage to placate the boys, then I don’t want Cas there.
I don’t want Cas, The Truth, Reality, to ever be anything other than that.

I’m obsessed with your Anastasia AU. Do you have any more thoughts or ramblings?
Sorry this took six months to answer anon - know that I resolved to answer it before the year ended, and so here we are!
Obviously the Anastasia AU post I made leaves something to be desired. I was getting carsick while writing it so it peters off at the end. It's especially lacking in actual Llewerius content - especially especially stuff from Ty's point of view - so I want to focus on that.
The biggest thing that Ty and Louie tend to clash over in this AU is Louie's godawful work ethic. Ty has pretty good work ethic, and in this AU literally grew up as a servant, so the fact that Louie seems so keen to laze about and not take this "posing as a prince" business seriously annoys the hell out of him. And he's not beyond verbalizing this.
Either way, they're both smart-mouthed individuals with similar criminal habits and it's easy for them to get on each other's nerves. Baloo considers it love at first sight, though he might just be missing Becky.
Despite all this, there is physical attraction at play, and once they get over their petty annoyances with one another, the two end up genuinely enjoying each other's company (not that they would openly admit it, at first)
The nightmare on the boat still happens in this AU. To accomodate for the lack of pets in this AU, it's worth noting that Ty is a (relatively) light sleeper to Kit and Baloo, so when Louie flopped out of bed and started sleepwalking out the door of their cabin, Ty woke up. Took him a minute to fully wake up and realize something was wrong, though, so he didn't bolt out of bed right away.
Yes, he carried Louie back to bed in his arms. They probably slept in the same bed that night, too, just to feel a little safer. They do not acknowledge any of that at all the morning after.
Once Ty realizes that Louie is, in fact, the missing prince, it finally hits him that Louie's probably going to be in his life forever, due to their families being friends, and that makes his budding crush on Louie kind of too much for him to handle. It also makes him feel guilty to have all this sudden emotional baggage when Louie should really only be worrying about reuniting with his family, like Ty feels as though being around Louie wouldn't be fair to him, so he decides that becoming more distant is the best (and kindest) option. He essentially avoids him after the Duck family reunites.
Louie picks up on this and starts to think that maybe his own crush on Ty had him reading their relationship wrong, that Ty probably truly can't stand him, and does his best to rebottle the resulting hurt he feels into contempt.
Ty does, however, have to participate in the ball thrown to celebrate Louie's return, since his family is expected to be there. The bird kids all willingly sneak out of the party once they start to notice Magica's presence, and Ty is the only one who notices, though he isn't aware of why they left. Of course, he gets to show up just in time to clock Magica right in the face.
Since the kids all get to face Magica together, I don't think there's really any instance of any of them being injured so grievously that they'd think one of them was dead or something, like what happens in the movie. Moreso, I think that being shoehorned back together and surviving a final-gambit attack from an incredibly powerful sorceress together forces Ty and Louie to confront the feelings they have for each other and be honest with one another. Like sure, maybe they aren't scared into believing one of them died, but they're forced to wrestle with the idea that they could have, and if that's the case, there are things that shouldn't be left unsaid.
And so! We get a happy ending! Louie gets to be with his family again, and Ty and Louie learn that their feelings for one another are reciprocated!
Hope this answer satisfies you, anon! And I hope you enjoy the rest of your December!

can i request grelle with another reaper who is just. really fucking weird. they have bizarre hobbies, dress in unusual ways, have strange taste in music, etc. platonic or romantic
This can be read as both platonic or romantic for the most part. I was originally gonna separate it, but it’s really a lot of the same lol dating Grelle is literally being besties who also kiss and fuck. I’m also just gonna do headcanons so if you wanted an actual like story/scenario, feel free to let me know and I’ll make that for you! :)
TW for some cursing and mentions of murder
Grelle is supportive no matter what okay. The people around you might think that you’re weird, but to her, you’re just ahead of the times you know. Becky is just too close-minded to realize that you aren’t weird and really just fucking awesome
When talking about your interests, it doesn’t matter how out there they might be, she will be fully interested and paying attention. One thing that Grelle loves most about your relationship is how the two of you are able to just go on these long rants about what you like. If you’re willing to sit through her complaints about the murderous tendencies she has to holdback on the higher ups, ramblings about her latest crushes, and the latest office gossip, then she can also actively listen to you talk about the latest album or single from your favorite artists or all about your hobbies for sure. She’d also remember it all and get you gifts from these things for birthdays and holidays and ask you for updates if you haven’t given them to her already. She might not join the fan groups or do the hobby, but she’ll lightly keep up with things so she can give you someone else to discuss it with.
When it comes to clothing, she’s all over it. Will go out shopping with you and give you things that she thinks fits the aesthetic that you’re looking for and might even allow you to dress her up that way too! Certain styles that she isn’t very fond of she’ll leave to you, but she likes trying new things when it comes to fashion and so she isn’t opposed to trying it out at least once. You’ve even influenced her style too and she finds herself incorporating these different patterns or layering or just the color choices into her own personal style.
Grelle is no stranger to being made fun of about any interests a person may have. When she was first exploring her true self, there were so many people who tried to put her down because she was different and in one lifetime, it worked. So like hell is she gonna let anyone bully you because they don’t like the same stuff that you do. Grelle will let you stand up for yourself if you want to, but she’s also glaring at whoever it is that said something with intent to murder in her eyes. And if you aren’t a confrontational person, she’ll gladly go up and give them a piece of her mind if you’d let her.
Grelle actually really admires how you don’t let these people get to you enough to completely stop listening to, participating in, or wearing the music, hobbies, or clothes you like, respectively. Like said before, in another lifetime, it was people like that that caused her to essentially end her life. Grelle from before could never imagine herself being as out there as you are actively ready to be and she loves that about you. If no one else will encourage you, she will 100%.
It doesn’t matter how weird society might think you are, Grelle loves you for you and she will make sure you know it. If there are a million people who encourage you and your weird obsessions, she’s one of them; if there is only one, it’s her; if there are none, she’s dead.
Lovely murder wife Grelle who loves to encourage you ❤

hey sorry if this is weird but this is @chip-and-the-bastards (it's a sideblog so I can't ask with it) and since we're up against each other for the jrwi au showdown I wanted to ask about Blood in the Deadwood‼️ it seems like a cool au but tumblr search function isn't showing me if you have anything for it on this blog! So here take this as an opportunity to ramble about it and also maybe give some propaganda!
anyway feel free to ignore if you don't wanna aha :]
Oh HELLL YEAHHHHHH!!!!!
well first of all @tobeywobey was also very involved in making it so make sure you also give them creds ! ! He worked on a LOT of the lore so i really wanna give them proper creds lol. Also the search didnt work because both toby and I haven't post much of anything publicly about it LMAO
BASICALLY its the prime defenders characters but in a kind of Galloway/Deadwood hybrid place if that makes sense. Each character fills the role of another character(s) in blood in the bayou (for example cantrip basically plays the role of Becky in this au.) its pretty cannon compliant to the events of blood in the bayou, except for a few changes, like things happening for different reasons and events being changed. Also there is no superpowers in this au :)
the thing Toby and I changed most was probably the events leading up to the main three going back to deadwood. In this AU Dakota is the one that knows Ashe the best, Will and Vynce are less acquainted with her. This is because she fills the role of Rachel so we wanted it to closer match the relationship that Kian and Rolan had with her when they were younger. so basically Dakota introduces Ashe to the other two a couple years before the events of this AU take place in deadwood, and they all eventually leave for w own reasons. Will dies like in PD canon, is resurrected as a bug sorta like how Rolan is, except he knows that he's a bug and keeps it secret. Ashe goes missing suddenly and Mark immediately starts investigating. The boys talk to mark about any leads or information, and it all leads to Deadwood. Also somewhere along there Williams "parents" die. Some more noatable things that happen in these few years is that vynce and cantrip have a relationship thats more like a situationship, and the three of them start a dnd campaign but never finish it.
They all go to Deadwood Because of Ashe's disappearance but vynce and will also have other reasons. Vynce really wants to finish this fuckin dnd campaign, and will felt the most obligated to go because he's part of the hive (and also his parents funeral was happening there anyways.) Will is also the one that is the most hesitant to go in the first place.
Then the BITB cannon stuff happens! They greet Doug (who plays the role of rat in this AU,) go to quickstop, see The Horrors, all that stuff. They obviously react in different ways and do different things than the BITB pcs, but it all still leads to them going to points of interest and having the big events happen to them the same. One notable change is that Will sees doug in the alley, pasteified, but is really curious about what actually happened to him instead of being horrified of the human sludge (Will is so fucking insane in this au.) Another is that will convinces Dakota that they need to leave (like how kian does) but while they are driving away will and dakota get into an argument wich leads to dakota grabbing the wheel from him and they end up swerving into the membrane wall.
Unfortunately thats where we stopped writing stuff down lmao so for the propaganda section of this ramble i will be taking from the character info toby wrote
-PROPAGANDA TIME-
Vyncent is a huge fantasy nerd and he has those hot topic elf ear cuffs. Half of his character motivation is wanting to finish that godamn dnd game!!!
William wisp is 10x more insane
wiwi carries a shotgun around locked and loaded from the very beginning
vynce gets some cool buggy limbs :)
Ashe is trans mtf and in the notes we referred to getting bugged as "contracting malaria" so we called her "our malaria girlfriend" and now in my head ashe will always be my favorite malaria girlfriend ❤️
Mark kind of plays the role of John Rand and he is also in love with that stupid caveman show
Mark and tide have a perry and doofenshmirtz dynamic. They both have radically different theories on what is happening to the town and argue constantly, but when they aren't being crazy people they get along
Tide fills the role of Mr. Dickman and he has a secret bunker chalk full of beef stroganoff. He also has a huge fucking blackboard where he writes all his theories (he just has "MALARIA" written down in all caps)
Tide has a little bit of a crazy old guy reputation in town
Cantrip gets fucking shot by William because of a one sided rivalry wiwi has had since middle school
LE FROG IS OFFICER DUDES‼️‼️
This concludes the ramblings, i wish everyone happy voting and good luck in the au torment!!! :D

Bonjour! I wanted to thank you for sharing more of your Jonathan/Becky thoughts! I found some of your posts last year and I found them very cute! && Yesterday I found you sharing more stuff about her and it makes me very happy! Thank you very much for sharing and giving love to Becky! I love Rebecca so much that I haven't stopped writing and thinking about her since 2021, she deserves a lot of love!
Bonjour bonjour! (Or bonsoir, where I am!)
It's so exciting to get a message from you; I always smile when I see your Becky art at the top of her tag on tumblr! Thank you so much for reaching out; I'm so glad you like my rambles about the ship that unexpectedly gripped me when I got into Batman, and I'm even gladder they make you happy. <3
Scarecrow was always my favourite Rogue after Harley and Ivy, so I was digging back into comics and popular stories when The Batman 2022 was released last year and sent me on the brainrot train, and that was how I came across New Years' Evil and Miss Rebecca Albright. Her design was super adorable, and she was such a badass in her one-off, a real 1990's gothic heroine with some dashes of final girl which fits perfectly into Gotham City. And when I saw she was a law student (I'm a law school graduate, seriously, I've got too many lawyer blorbos as a result haha) the rest was history! She's such a strong, lovable character, and it's so lovely talking to someone so passionate about her!
What definitely also helps is that I've been obsessed with Phantom of the Opera (and similar stories after that) since I was 12, so I've definitely been primed for Jonathan/Becky, and what their dynamic is and has the potential to be. Having a 1990s' gothic romance available like that in the already operatic Batverse that could be set to this song? Yes please!)
I've been digging around for as much Becky content as possible since then, and I love the various ways people have fleshed her out. (Is it just me or are there so many characters with such great potential confined to single appearances?) I've only written those two oneshots for her in my asks/on my ao3 so far, but I've definitely tossed around some headcanons of my own for her, and it's so fun to see how people shape her! Can't wait to see more of your writing/art for her, too — your interpretation of her from what I've seen are already so lovely!!!
I couldn't agree more — the law student who stood up to the Master of Fear and sought to overcome her bullying on her own terms, but never sacrificing her own scruples, is so so important to me. And the relationship between a girl and her monster is something that can be so personal, actually!
Thanks again for reaching out and sharing in the Becky love, this ask really made me smile. <3 Please feel free to say hi or shoot a message any time!

The Strange Case of Wordgirl and Miss Crimes: Chapter 5
Wordgirl shook the man’s hand. “it’s nice to meet you too Dr. Jenkins.” Wordgirl replied politely. Dr. Jenkins just nodded at her as he bent down and started picking up the scattered papers. “Do you need any help with that?” Wordgirl asked. Dr. Jenkins shook his head. “No thanks. I can handle this. I don’t think its fair to be dependent on heroes doing menial tasks such as cleaning up my messes. You guys have more important stuff to deal with such as fighting super powered criminals.” Dr. Jenkins rambled as he finished cleaning up his mess. He then glanced back at Wordgirl, thanking her for her offer to help him when he paused and then frowned at the young hero. “Um I don’t mean to bother or intrude on anything, but are you okay?” Dr. Jenkins asked Wordgirl with concern in his voice. Wordgirl flinched at his question, not realizing the scientist could see the fresh tear stains on her face. “Oh yeah. I’m fine. Nothing to worry about.” Worgirl fibbed. “I..I’ve just been stressed about some things lately.” She replied unintentionally in a solemn tone, hugging one of her arms. Dr. Jenkins remained quiet, silently observing Wordgirl before he spoke up again. “Well sometimes drinking a cold beverage like milk or juice helps me when I am feeling stressed out. I still have some drinks in my lab if you and your sidekick want some.” Dr. Jenkins offered to her, avoiding pushing for more information on why Fair City’s local hero was so crestfallen. Wordgirl considered Dr. Jenkins offer for a bit. She faced Huggy who gave her a thumbs up at the idea before turing back to the scientist with a small smile. “Sure. Why not.” Wordgirl shrugged in agreement.
Wordgirl had not mean to spill out all her worries to this scientist she just met. They got back to Dr. Jenkins’ lab which was a bit messier than Professor Tubing’s but not a complete wreck. Jenkins opened his fridge which held bottles of milk and various juices. Wordgirl had chosen pineapple juice why her sidekick settled for apple. Dr. Jenkins just settled for a grape and the trio just drank their juices in silence. Maybe it was the uncomfortable silence that prompted Wordgirl to say what was on her mind, or maybe it was the fact that Dr. Jenkins’ kind personality coupled with the fact that he had a few clumsy moments on the way here from nearly slipping on a wet floor sign that he didn’t notice or how he dropped his keys about 5 times before opening the door. Maybe it was those factors that reminded Becky so much of her father that made her decide to share her situation with the man. Honestly for Becky, sharing her woes with a stranger  rather than someone who knew her personally was much better for her right now as she didn’t want to listen to someone give heartfelt condolences for an issue they could not help with. As Wordgirl spoke about the problems she had trying to find a cure for her “friend” Dr. Two Brains and how she was really worried about not being able to turn him back to normal, Dr. Jenkins did not interrupt her but only listened silently and directly as he drank his grape juice from a straw. He only stopped listening for a few seconds at a time when he accidentally poked the straw into his eye twice. Wordgirl then finished explaining to Dr. Jenkins as to why she was really upset earlier. “I just don’t know what to do now that things with Professor Tubing have reached a dead end. I just really want to break Professor Steven Boxletiner away from being controlled by Squeaky any longer before things could get worse for him.” Wordgirl finally stated, ending her words with a defeated expression. Dr. Jenkins paused for a bit, trying to gather up his thoughts and words together before he spoke. “I have never met Professor Steven Boxleitner before. I think I started working here after his um accident.” Dr. James Jenkins replied nervously. Then his face morphed into a more determined expression. “But as for your situation Wordgirl. I think I have something in my notes that can help deal with that pesky mouse DNA.”

Carol was never in love with George: An analysis
Of all the more important characters Carol is for sure the one that I had the hardest time nailing down. Nearly everything she says is couched in lies and sarcasm. And her actual relationship with George is only briefly touched on at the end. But when reading between the lines and following her schedule I think there’s a lot that tells us about how she really feels.
Firstly, yes Thomas says “But me and Carol, we love, not him, but a different person (George).” And I’ll just be honest, I think Thomas was projecting. So much of Carol’s behavior doesn’t make sense if she was in love with George the way Thomas was.
Case in point: those two lines in the screenshots above. These are extremely telling. Carol has lived in Greenvale her entire life, there are only so many cops she has had the chance to interact with, and George is the only one it would make sense for her to be referring to. He’s great at lying and acting nice (just look at the way he pretends to be York’s friend after Diane’s death) and he’s certainly not above threatening force. For her to say this like it’s something she’s experienced firsthand by George... yeah, that’s not the attitude of someone in love with him.
Basically, I think she was resigned to her relationship with him. He’s 22 years older than her, has known her/her family since she was 10 at the absolute oldest, and was probably the only reason she could skirt around the law to own a bar at age 16. Gross as it is, I think in her mind, she saw him as more of a sugar daddy than anything. She might not have particularly liked him, but she didn’t have a whole lot of ways out of the situation, so she might as well play along and benefit from it.
On top of that, I firmly believe she had no idea George was going to actually kill Anna and was extremely upset about it (same goes for Thomas but that’s a different conversation). Anna and Becky were absolutely her friends, there’s no way she would have been cool with recruiting them to die. If you follow her around on a day when it’s not raining she always goes to three notable places. 1.The Milk Barn (where Becky worked) 2. The A&G Diner (where Anna worked) and 3. Anna’s tree, where she cries. When she’s not at work, her entire schedule revolved around her friends. (There is one line from Sallie implying Anna wasn’t friends with Carol and they rarely saw each other but well considering all the stuff Anna hid from Sallie and the fact that she didn’t even know Diane was Becky’s sister I don’t put too much stock in that)
After they died I think Carol was just extremely pessimistic. She can be found crying in her dressing room and freaking out at home. That’s just not how someone acts if you’re on board of with the plan of a person you love. She likely knew she was doomed but didn’t see a way to stop George, especially when her closest ally, Thomas, was so deeply manipulated into being on his side after a decade of grooming.
As for her last act of trying to kill Emily with the seeds, well, I think that was a mix of “I’m going to kill you for saying you killed Thomas (even though Emily absolutely didn’t??? Seriously why did she phrase it like that)” “If I’m gonna die I’m taking you down with me because George has made me resent you” and “I’m high as fuck because of these seeds and also bleeding out so I’m for sure not thinking straight”
Maybe I’m just rambling into void. This might be the common consensus for all I know. Like Thomas, I just think Carol is a very interesting character where there is a lot of interesting (and deeply troubling!) implications if you read into what’s implied.

I'm gonna ramble a bit under the cut -- mainly just to get my own brain emptied out so I can go to bed. :) Have a good night, all.
I have really... messy, complicated emotions going on right now. Like, on the one hand: I've only in the last couple of weeks even regularly started watching Techno's vids/vods. Obviously I've been aware of him longer than that, and I've watched some old stuff, but I never watched a stream live, and most of my knowledge comes second or third hand. My biggest "ah yes, I like Techno" feelings come from fics. So like, not even the real guy. Just a fictional version of him.
So I feel... ya know, I feel as though I don't really have the right to grieve? Like... I almost feel guilty over it. Like walking into a room and going "Oh, I am not supposed to be here." And before anyone messages or replies: I know that's silly. I'm aware. Emotions are never logical. Knowing that it's a ridiculous guilt to have doesn't make it go away.
But on the other hand... Man. He's the same age as my baby sister. I can't... I can't imagine losing someone that young. Actually, no, that's a lie. I have a very good imagination. I can imagine it. And even just the imagining is nearly unbearable. What his family has to be going through, what his friends have to be going through... my heart hurts for them.
My heart hurts for his fans -- not me, but his real fans, the ones who are just reeling right now. So many of his fans are literally children, and this may be their first brush with death. There are so many hurting kids tonight, and I just want to bundle them all up in a blanket, hand them a tissue and wrap my arm around their shoulder and tell them, "It gets better. I swear. It feels like there's a hole in your gut right now, and maybe you're angry, or maybe you're crying, or maybe you're numb because your emotions don't know what to do so they're protecting you by doing nothing. Any and all of that is okay. But I promise that it won't hurt like this forever, and someday -- probably a lot sooner than you think -- memories and stories will give you more nostalgic joy than grief. It's okay to hurt, and it's okay to know that as big as this feels in the moment, you'll grow to contain it."
Grief never really gets smaller. But you grow around it. People that I've lost -- Mr Tony, who gave me peppermints from his pocket every Sunday, or Mr Hank, who had a beautiful singing voice and called me Sister, or Ms Becky, who had such a joy of teaching and introduced me to fried green beans... Them being gone still... I wouldn't say hurts. It itches, somewhere deep down. But I smiled just now when I was typing about them, because thinking of those memories is a happy thing.
I don't know how to process Techno's passing. I'll be honest. There's a big piece of me that just wants to despair about it. Cancer and the death of young people and death in general are such rotting and corrupted parts of our world. It sucks. It sucks that he was so young. It sucks that cancer exists. It sucks that thousands of kids are hurting and feeling lost tonight. It sucks that I don't know how to process my own emotions about this. It sucks that I'm probably not going to be able to sleep well tonight. It sucks that Techno's family and friends are going to be dealing with this hole in their lives for a long time. Just generally... it sucks.
And I'm a Christian. It's not something I talk about very often, but I don't make a secret about it either -- I believe there is hope and life after death. I believe that the world will one day be restored to a state that doesn't have cancer, that doesn't have death, that doesn't have people losing their sons and their friends. But even though I truly believe that with all my heart... that doesn't make the sadness or the bewildering emotions any easier to deal with in the moment.
I dunno, man. This whole thing hit me like a punch in the gut, and on some level I don't know how to process it. It's like I'm... intruding on something that's not mine to feel. I admire Techno. I think he was a kind guy with a wicked sense of humor and a fantastic voice. I think his fans have created some of the best mcyt fan-content I've seen. I think that if any of those fans need an inbox to talk to or a digital shoulder to cry on, I can try to be that for them. I think I'm going to have to go back and watch a bunch of old videos because I want to get to know Techno's legacy better.
And... I think that for tonight, that's going to have to be enough.
