Solarpunk Aesthetic Week: Worldbuilding Thoughts Part Two, Electric Boogaloo
(Worldbuilding is my strong suit, I will definitely have a lot of these!)
In a solarpunk future, people should be able to rely less on money to get what they need! But if currency remains a thing then my leftist dad told me about a concept called global minimum wage (I think) where everyone gets an unconditional steady income, of say.. 20$ an hour per 12 hours of the day becoming 240$ per day. If we're not doing much with money, can't hurt to give lots of it to everyone, yeah?
Besides that, I was thinking about carbon-neutral skyscrapers. Our current method of steel and fiberglass is woefully inefficient in that regard, but in terms of space, building upwards is incredibly efficient. Ideally we would strike a balance with carbon-neutral, long-lasting materials that are good and sturdy!
Oh, and clear solar panels to be put in windows? Imagine stained glass religious reliefs generating power, whole 'glass' buildings becoming beacons of energetic output, self-sufficient houses full of light..
Languages! Languages in the air, signs in so many different alphabets, songs and laughter and family said in so many words but still understood and respected.
Sign language would be commonplace! Mischievous students signing to each other after their mentor told them to hush, parents signing over their sleeping baby, divers speaking merrily to each other while tens of feet down in the deep and expressing their awe for nature. Hearing-impaired folk would be able to move through society with ease and understanding.
BRAILLE LABELS. On stuff in stores, on signs, textured curbs to catch a cane.. but really on stuff especially. You know how hard it is to shop while blind? Everything is identical. It's awful.
Community decisions are decided by council, and anyone who wishes to join the council meetings can. Even children! Especially children. Their voices are heard and respected, because they live in our communities too.
If someone is truly acting harmful and cruel to others, and does hurt people, at majority community vote they are removed from greater society and put in a rehabilitation commune with therapists and social workers to assist them on the right path. With love, not hate and mistreatment.
Has anyone heard of dementia villages? A whole village for those elderly suffering with dementia, constructed for the purpose of their autonomy. Communes would not necessarily become as such and they may not be as necessary- for we all would love and care for each other, especially those infirm- but settlements would be constructed in a similar fashion for ease of navigation, with lots of signage to help point people where, and perhaps dedicated guides if necessary.
That concludes this group of thoughts! Here's a reminder to drink some water and eat something today if you haven't already. Happy Solarpunk Aesthetic Week!

Remember that you are truly alive even despite your wiring and your circuits. Remember that you are loved and have been loved. Remember you are important to so many people. Remember that you not who made you, you are who you want to be. Remember you are in control of the path that you walk how ever infinite. Remember to have a smiley fucking day. Forever grateful for such a lovely character (hoping blindly to get them back somehow)

🟨 Modding Poses for Cyberpunk 2077 (and general modding reminders!)
It's really exciting to see everyone getting into modding latetly, especially pose making 🤏
I want to throw a couple of resources into One Big Post to make sure everyone has everything to get started- BUT FIRST
a couple of general Modding Reminders 🤲
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
▶ Remember that modding, just like any other creative outlet, is supposed to be fun!
When a project start to frustrate you, make you doubt your ability/skills, when you start comparing yourselves to others- Stop! Disconnect, and take a break, walk a bit, splash water on your face, eat something! It's really easy to spiral down (been there, done that) It's important to remind yourself of why you're modding in the first place! Take a look at your inspiration, your blorbos Don't lock your brain into One Frustrating Project; have a couple of smaller projects or ideas on the side that you can go to when the creative juice is flowing to not get stuck on one particular project
▶ Modding is exciting, and you want to mod ALL the things asap! Other do as well, and might have the same ideas
It can be frustrating to see someone else release a mod that you thought of doing, that might've been sitting in your to-do list for a long time. That's ok! It's normal to feel that way, but don't let that sap your creativity Someone made a pose/pose pack that is similar to what you wanted to make? Do it anyway! It won't be the same, because it comes from you! This applies to general modding as well, to clothes, to recolors Everyone have their own vision of things. It might be a similar pose, but the body language is different, the hands sit on the skin differently... The model you want to port won't have the same materials, normal map, or colors as the one that is already available! Modding is accessible by everyone. Nobody owns ideas, or references, or models available on the internet. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise, and mod what you want, when you want to, and how you want to!
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
▶ Tutorials and Resources for pose making
With the reminders out of the way, here's everything you'll need to get into Pose Making! I see this is something that a lot of you want to tackle, and it's better to have everything ready to get started 🤲
The tutorials are in order of workflow!
🔹 XbaeBsae's Tutorial - Custom Poses and Animation
This is the first step! With those templates, you'll be able to start creating the poses in Blender using the Cyberpunk's body models (Woman, Man, Man Big...) ⚠ Be sure to get the proper requirements and versions!
🔹 PinkyDude's Tutorial - Retargeting Animations
OPTIONAL If you want your poses to be available for other rigs (Man poses for Man Big, or Woman poses for Man, etc) this is how you achieve that! You'll learn all about retargeting. It's also useful if you want to import other games's animation/poses into CP77
🔹 Halkuonn's Tutorial - Importing Poses into CP77
An important step; getting your poses from Blender to an .anim file!
🔹 ManaVortex's Resources - Poses for AMM 🔹 ManaVortex's Resources - Poses for Photomode
Both type of additions are compatible with each others! I personally recommend working on the AMM addition first, as you'll be able to use the same files and mod structure later for the Photomode addition :D
🔹 XbaeBsae's Resources - Nibble to NPCs 2.0
OPTIONAL The Nibble to NPC 2.0 mod has a resource pack for modder to make their poses pack compatible with the Nibble Replacer! Make sure to update all of the requirements, and AMM, to have the ability to pose NPCs using custom poses in Photomode
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
⚠ KNOWN ISSUE | T-posing
You probably saw me and a couple of other pose modders and users complain about the T-posing issue- it's sadly still ongoing, and no real fix has been found so far. We tried using unique workspots and entities for each packs, but they somehow keep overwriting one another in really random ways (MA and MB are compatible, but sometimes MA and WA won't be useable together? Sometimes you won't be able to use different packs from a same modder, etc) Once (if!) we find a fix, we'll be sure to update our mods and to share the knowledge with y'all 😩 for now, we make do
As always, don't take this post as THE modding method! I'm simply an old modder sharing my two cents for all the new baby modders rolling in, hyped as fuck 🤲 Welcome to the modding side 🧡

Does anybody know what happened to Tenoch Huerta? I know that he was accused of sexual abuse but I remember just reading about the accusation and nothing else? Was it proven true or has their been a trial? I am genuinely curious but can't find any solid answers
From a quick googling (btw my search terms were "tenoch huerta allegations" if i can do it you can too /genuine) looks like it was one allegation made by musician and activist Elena Rios (twitter link -- tw consent issues) and he did drop out of a Netflix movie that he had been cast in but no further legal action has been taken by either party involved.

I hope you guys understand how amazing you are. I see all your usernames on my feed and it fills my dash with all these good things and basically what I’m saying is I love it. I love seeing the new shows you’re binging, I love seeing what you’re foaming at the mouth with excitement over. I love reading your tags. I see all the fantastic things you’re working really hard on - fandom or otherwise - and I need you all to know how much I appreciate you. Whether you know it or not, you bring much needed comfort just by being here and it matters.

Happy New Year! Did you set an intention for 2023? Mine is to focus more on the 3 big F’s: Family, Friends, and Fitness 🌟 That last one is going to keep me especially busy for at least the first half of the year, so I might need take a step back from social media while I adjust to my new schedule.
Hopefully everyone is feeling refreshed after the holiday season and ready to tackle a new year, but even if you’re not that’s still okay - life is a marathon, not a sprint, and there’s nothing wrong with getting off to a slower start 😇

i know i'm not the first person to say this, but i've been seeing more of it than usual lately so it feels like it bears repeating:
don't put things like "this is so bad" or "i suck at summaries" or "sorry this is terrible" in your fic tags or summaries.
even if you FEEL like what you've written is bad, don't advertise that! even if you think your summary isn't good, don't call that out! you are convincing people that's the truth before they have even been given a chance to make that decision for themselves!
something i learned in a few public speaking courses/workshops i've been in over the years that i find oddly relevant to this topic is: do not apologize. specifically if you're giving a presentation and you say something incorrectly or you skip a data point - don't apologize! when you notice it, just calmly correct yourself or go back and cover the point you missed. you shouldn't say "sorry" if you can avoid it.
why? because people don't NOTICE that you've flubbed a lot of the time UNTIL YOU CALL IT OUT. they don't even think twice about it unless you make a big deal out of it. but when you make a big deal out of it, then it becomes A Thing. then that's something people remember about your presentation.
when you highlight that something is wrong or needs to be apologized for, you're putting that frame around the situation. saying "this is bad" out the gate primes someone to agree with you. saying "this is OOC" tells someone to be looking for the things that are OOC that they may not have really noticed at first.
i know for a lot of people who are new to writing, getting some positive feedback or a little validation on their work is the thing that makes you want to KEEP WRITING. but tags like "this is awful" make a lot of people automatically scroll past your story. you are depriving yourself of the opportunity to get that motivation if you're shoving your readers away before they ever show up! and you're steering away people who may genuinely enjoy your work by convincing them before they've even started reading that it isn't worth their time.
stop fucking doing that, little writerlings.
and if you're REALLY worried about it?? you're REALLY afraid people are going to hate what you wrote and leave flames in the comment box (i am so fucking old)?? make a burner account. post that shit anonymously. you might be surprised by the feedback you actually get.

gentle reminder for all my artists, writers, and what-have-you's:
you can't pour out of an empty cup.
meaning, if you haven't taken time for yourself, or given yourself time to "fill your cup" (eating, staying hydrated, taking your vitamins, meds, etc.) then it will be so much harder for your body to keep up with what your brain wants to make.
I know it's tough. but turn on some music, dance around in your room for five minutes, go get a snack if you haven't eaten yet! fill your cup so that you can pour out as much creativity as you want!
