Scammer pretending to be Palestinian v4
The purpose of this post is to compile a quick list of accounts confirmed to be stealing their information off of legitimate fundraisers or otherwise are shown to be taking their posts off Facebook and using it themselves. This list is intended to be a quick access point so if searched someone will see info explaining why the blog they shared from is a scam. Before asking if a blog is a scam, please refer to this post for better details regarding these particular scams:
Please keep in mind this post isn’t to say all Palestinian blogs needing aid are scammers; Rather, the purpose of this post is just to keep track of the accounts that scammers are using. As it goes on for months on end, this post may update accordingly with new urls so please make sure you’re checking the original post if viewing a reblog. You can see a few sources here for commonly used content stolen by scammers. You can find the third version of this list here.
As of 4/28/2024, here is the list of current scam accounts:
| fuzzyyouthcreation | nightpeacemaker | maddiemartines | shtunbsing | happilydopepirate | naomiglowy | severepandacomputer | reallyatomicinternet | scentedwinnerlady | oneahamdihamed | tenaciouspiratetyphoon | aisha-mahmood |
Names below are associated with these scammers, and may appear across multiple accounts. This is an entirely new list as the other one may have names that no longer are used. These names often are from real people being impersonated. They are not linked, related to, or associated to the person they may claim to be.
Rawan Abu'M (this name is impersonating a real person from a legitimate GoFundMe.) | maryline Otieno | Nicholas Ochieng | Jeff Owino | Grahy Marwa | Taheera Abdallah | Gloria Naomi | Amisi Twaleh | Salima Abdallah | Aisha Mahmood

Testing conducted by the Food and Drug Administration on pasteurized commercially purchased milk has found genetic evidence of the H5N1 bird flu virus, the agency confirmed Tuesday. But the testing, done by polymerase chain reaction, or PCR, cannot distinguish between live virus or fragments of viruses that could have been killed by the pasteurization process.
The agency said it has been trying to see if it could grow virus from milk found to contain evidence of H5N1, which is the gold standard test to see if there is viable virus in a product. The lengthy statement the agency released does not explicitly say FDA laboratories were unable to find live virus in the milk samples, but it does state that its belief that commercial, pasteurized milk is safe to consume has not been altered by these findings.
“To date, we have seen nothing that would change our assessment that the commercial milk supply is safe,” the statement said.
The document was long on assurances but short on details of what has been undertaken or found. It does not specify how many commercial samples were taken or in how many markets, nor does it indicate what percentage of the samples were PCR-positive for H5N1. The statement did not indicate if the testing suggested the amounts of viral genetic material in the milk were low or high.
Furthermore, the statement did not reveal if the milk products were purchased in parts of the country where outbreaks have occurred, or in areas where cows haven’t been seen to have been infected.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I put this in the tags but I guess it is worth saying here as well: I am not trying to panic anyone, but this definitely seems like something you should know if you are in the US. The milk supply is not definitely unsafe, but they don't know it is safe yet either, so make your own choices based on that.

Hey.
Go ahead and get settled because this will be...long, in true Liz fashion.
So, by now I'm sure most of you have heard what's happened. If not, you can search this blog for some answers or others for more.
I joined this fandom offiicially at the end of September after being a long time lurker. I had just lost my job and times were uncertain for me. I felt inspired to write, and as someone whose formative years were shaped by the fandom experience, I wanted to feel that sense of belonging again - to feel like a part of a community. I've talked about it on here before, but I started my fandom days in the original Hunger Games fandom when the first movie had just come out, and then I shifted gears towards the SuperWhoLock fandom. If you know anything about SuperWhoLock, then you know you had to have pretty tough fucking skin to be a part of any of it.
Of course, this was back in the day when fandom was an actual community and not authors having to beg for scraps of engagement and people thinking its a numbers game. I was a fairly large blog within the SuperWhoLock community (Waywardly-Carrying-On was the username), but I left fandom for a few years because life got hectic and I felt like I had outgrown the fandom itself as I was no longer watching any of the shows. As the years went on, I started to yearn for the fandom experience again, which is how I found myself dipping toes into several different ones.
I was so excited to publish my first fanfic. I had convinced myself that I wasn't a good writer (much to the chagrin of my irl friends), and I had put a pause on writing my original story. I wanted to write this idea about a cowboy and a girl using characters that I had grown to love like I did way back in my older days. So, I started posting, and I was so excited for the story, that I kept posting almost daily. MamaMay was one of the first people to embrace not only my story, but me as a person into the fandom. She made me feel welcomed and wanted.
Pretty much right off the bat I was already getting anons telling me that I was being too much and that I needed to calm down with all the posting. I was confused because...this is Tumblr. It's literally a blogging website? Why wouldn't I post? I decided to ignore the mean words (not before giving my opinion, of course) and kept on doing my thing. Well, the anons got continually worse and worse. I had a suspiscion as to who the anons could be, but I never had concrete proof. So, I experimented with blocking suspects until finally it worked. I'm not naming names because that's not my style, so don't even bother asking.
The fact of the matter is, some of you have entered fandom spaces for the first time, and you don't know how to act. You don't care to learn fandom etiquette as you've made abundantly clear by calling fandom olds every name under the sun while utilizing the anonymous feature. Newsflash, you're part of the problem. You're the reason why authors don't want to publish anymore. You are the reason that something that's supposed to be fun is starting to feel like a goddamn chore.
How many times can authors on here say that we aren't machines? We have lives outside of this website: family, friends, jobs, school, etc. Some of you really are just hellbent on making everyone around you miserable, and it's sad. You can't just leave well enough alone and let people enjoy something, no you feel like everyone has to enjoy it the same way as you.
Some of you go after authors on here because of some weird sense of jealousy too. I don't know why my shit blew up, babe, I really don't. But I started out with no followers and no support just like everyone else. I'll tell you what helped me though: following fandom etiquette and reaching out to other creators to build an actual community. None of this "I've reblogged three of your things and now I'm messaging you so that you return the favor." No, I reached out to make actual friendships which is what fandom is SUPPOSED to be. If someone was clearly not interested, it was fine!! I backed off and kept doing my own thing.
Some of you think being mean on the internet makes you big and bad. Guess what! It doesn't! It's loser mentality and I feel genuinely sorry for you. I'm sorry that people in your own life made you feel so small as to feel like you had to lash out at strangers on the internet who are just trying to have fun.
Anyway, this is my really long way of saying that I am taking a break for a little bit. I have no idea how long it will be - could be the weekend, could be a couple of weeks, could be forever. I need time to decide if this is something I want to keep persuing. If I come back, I don't know if I will remain a TGM blog or if I'll shift gears and hop into another fandom with a rebrand. Guess we'll just have to see.
To the people on here who have been a constant source of joy, laughter, and support: thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Your presence has meant everything to me, and I hope that my break sees me wanting to come back and giggle about the silly plane movie with you all again.
Nothing but love,
Liz 💛

So to summarize
bubblepopsims thinks that this post <- is a hateful attack on white folks. That makes them problematic and they've been actively anti-Black on their blog since. Therefore, if that is your homie, we can't be friends.
Goodnight and godspeed.

Hey since I got one this morning I thought I'd make a post about it....
If someone that you don't know sends you an ask asking for money, it is very likely a scam! Common ones include "sick pets" or "I need money to evacuate (country)". These are scams, and they will not hesitate to play on your emotions. Stay safe out there and report them for phishing! Here's how to report content. Choose "unlawful uses or content" and then "phishing". Spread the word and please please be careful.

I got some hateful replies on some of my stories the last few days and they've been really discouraging even if I delete them and try to move on. So, I want to appeal to y'all's maturity to stop commenting your shitty opinions on things. Not everything needs to be said out loud and "freedom of speech" doesn't cut it as an argument to post every thought. Nobody wants to hear that you dislike something/were stupid enough to consume things you didn't like even though they have warnings and were tagged. It has no impact and you don't feel better sharing these things either.
If you have nothing nice or constructive to say, cut your losses and move on.
Of course that doesn't count for actual crimes and actual awful things, by all means, shame those criminals. But yelling about how awful you think that in a story you read e.g. two brothers fuck the same person (and not even each other) or e.g. how you think some characters shouldn't be portrayed as yandere because they are too wholesome (character in question is a murderer and not an uwu baby) does nothing for anyone. The artist doesn't feel better, people reading the comment don't feel better, and you as the commenter also don't feel better.
I implore you once again that if you don't like something, don't look/read it and live your best life away from it. It actually is that easy.

Don't take it out on others
A PSA addressing behavior that's often excused due to mental health.
We all have our issues, our bad days and bad periods, we have our problems and our frustrations, but despite all these thorns in our sides, it's never, ever okay to take it out on someone through passive aggressive behavior, name calling or any other rude approaches.
In these situations one has to address themselves, step back and breathe, find something to stimulate that part of yourself that's not doing well. Get some fresh air by opening a window to breathe, get a glass of water, lie on the floor for a hot minute and just relax. take a break, and ask someone if they can help you.
If you don't have someone you want to rely on or you're someone that doesn't want to bother anyone, write it down. Get it out somehow. but don't ever, ever think that it's okay to take it out on someone else, because it's not.

Little reminder that AFTERCARE IS IMPORTANT. Especially if you're punishing someone. Don't just do the punishment then dip out of no where or suddenly become distant and not what to talk. I'm so fucking sick of being used on this app by people that just want a wank and then that's it.
Adding onto this, make sure before you start ANY scene that the person wants this. Don't just assume that because last time you spoke you can start a scene without negotiation beforehand.

I just want everyone that’s following my process of building the Folkling save file to be prepared for the worst. I’m not 100% sure just yet, but the save file is acting funky. I don’t think it’s entirely corrupt, but one lot in particular is taking upwards of 10 minutes to load. I’ve done everything to fix the problem, even removing all the trees, only to have this issue persist. I’ve removed all my saves and started a new game, and the problem disappeared (w/ all my mods and cc included). So, it’s looking like it’s the save itself. Thankfully I have all my builds and sims backed up. I’ll let you all know what’s going on once I know more.

THIS IS A PSA FROM MULTIMUSE ROLEPLAYERS: please interact with them. please send them memes, hell most of us who have multimuses, love spams, aka send us loads of memes and different combinations. I understand that choosing one muse must be hard to choose, but trust me on this, multimuses are more scared of you than you on them. Sometimes all it takess is one meme to spark a friendship ooc or a relationship or a new dynamic. Don't know about certain OC or muse much? ask them about it, plan around it. Consider this post the universal shout of: SEND MEMES, ANSWER STARTER CALLS WITH DIFFERENT MUSES COMBO YOU WANT. Sometimes multimuses find it hard who to throw at a single blog in fear of overstepping or just pushing their muses on them specially if they are OCs with history. So just go for it.

Public Service Announcement: If the Goo's Alight, It's Not Alright!
Since this continues to be an ongoing problem, we did what all reputable scientists do: we glanced at our WWHD* bracelets, looked back at how we staved off handled this issue in the 1980s, then broke for lunch.
So get ready for your sense-memory of that weird pea-and-salisbury-steak aroma to come flooding back, because we found an old copy of our PSA from the S.W.E.L.L. program! So get your puffy vest, don your giant hair, and remember...
If the Goo's alight, it's not alright!
Lyrics under the fold
*What Would Hasbro Do? **Scientific Waste Evasion Literacy Lessons
Stay away from the glow it's a wicked sight, Kids and teens Listen up Be smart and stay clear Glowing ooze ain't a drink It's something to fear Don't let curiosity bring you near
Don't want that goo in a drink, it's something to fear Don't let curiosity bring you near
Don't drink the goo It's not that cool 9 outta ten it'll make a monster outta you gettin' powers isn't realistic don't be another mutation statistic If the goo's alight It's not alright, If the goo's alight It's not alright,
9 out of 10 (it's not alright)
If the goo's alight, it's not alright (it's not alright)
It's not alright. It's not alright. It's not alright. It's not alright.

Stop "Selling" Systemmates
Hey, if I see you "selling" systemmates, consensual or not, I am going to whap you on the head with a rolled up newspaper. That sh!t is fucking YIKES.
You're "selling" PEOPLE, full fledged people, which, I don't think I have to spell out why that's so fucked up.
How the fuck do you "sell" a systemmate? I personally think system-hopping is a load of bullsh!t, and whoever is "selling" systemmates is using that belief to scam people. (No offense to spiritual systems who have those beliefs, but in this case, it's being used to scam people).
Making systemmates for the purpose of "selling" them is just... god, imagine how YOU'D feel if you were brought into existence, just to be sold to some someone you've never met.
Why the hell would you pay for a systemmate? Tulpamancy is 100% free. That is such a scam. I get selling services like setting up Pluralkit bios, commissions for systemmates, etc, but not this.
So yeah! If you're "selling" systemmates, stop it! Just stop. If I see anyone follow me who partakes in that sh!t, it's a block on sight.
Can't even believe I need to make this post.

If you have a rebuttal to someone's argument, then there's no need to name call or throw around accusing words
Because when you do that, that insinuates that you don't have one
If you do have one, then there's no need for all that
Having a mature conversation, even when you disagree, takes you a lot further

Tumblr's Taglist Change!
From @whumpsday, who had to turn off reblogs:
heads up everybody who uses taglists: tumblr's made a change where you can only tag 5 people per line of text. so if you have a taglist like this: @persononeee @persontwoo @personthreee @personfourr @personfivee @personsixx @personsevenn\ the last two people won't be tagged at all! in order to make sure everybody gets a notification, you can do it like this: @persononeee @persontwoo @personthreee @personfourr @personfivee @personsixx @personsevenn remember to check your taglist after posting, preferably on the mobile app, where the difference between tagged and untagged users will be visually obvious.
Feel free to use this to boost it everywhere; this blog already gets heavy notifications.
