Hello there!! Uh i really hope I ain't bothering you especially since the post i checked the post im about to mention and apparently it was posted back in 2018 so if you dont feel like answering this that's a-ok. but uh i found a post of yours mentioning fae/moontouched girl being called "psycho" in the games files and uh. !!! If you had any context/further explanation/info for that be it in a response or another post you made in the past or something else thatd be much appreciated because uh thats uh. not good to put it gently ;-;

no bother at all! so tbh i had forgotten basically everything abt it, but this is what i found on the fan server:
basically it seems as though it was just placeholder for ae's name in the code. i did not pull this code, nor have i looked into the files at all, so this is all secondhand information, so do with that what you will.
with that said it's always struck me as very odd, as ae's is treated really well in game, so i'm assuming this is without malice, although that doesn't change much. it's just really unfortunate.

Hi Babs! I'm sending a message because I've been thinking about Bastoion again and I have nobody else to yell at about the fact that if you kill every single enemy, "the mercy" vigil is completed the first time you kill an Ura, and my first playthrough I had to take a break from the game to contemplate my life coices.
Supergiant did not have to do that.
Also, in Kid's first dream sequence about the Calamity which has you replaying the intro to the game, if you fall off like I did bc I'm an idiot, Rucks says "Kid can't fall, no matter how hard he tries" and Supergiant didn't have to do that either.
ALSO also, theories on the girl with the barrette who is mentioned exactly once?
hullo hullo! tbh a lot of bastion is "sgg didn't have to do this but they did." which is why i think bastion is the most tragic of all the games; there's no winning. you kill and kill and kill and no matter what, not everyone will be happy. suffering is inevitable no matter what you choose.

also the barrette girl, it's been a hot minute since i last played, but i think her name is nacie, and we never really learned anything about her. i think rucks said the kid fancied her, but beyond the kid asking rucks and zulf about it, i don't think you get much. i always kinda viewed it as like, someone the kid really liked, but never quite got up the courage to admit he liked her. like she was one of the few people who made an effort with him and he was always too scared to say anything and then the calamity happened and she was dead and the that chance was gone forever.

Hi Babs!
I will shriek to the heavens and back about Roller? I Hardly Know Her! Especially for a fandom that loves their poly ships as much as this one does. Because it has EVERYTHING!! The pining! The longing! Gene singing Alone by Heart (which is my favorite Heart song)! And Gene and Alex and Courtney are SO FREAKING CUTE in this episode! She wanted to dance with them!! 😭💜 And it was the boys' idea to help out! Then Mrs. Papasian going after frickin' Doug! Not to mention the B plot is really funny too and has lots of potential for the BLT poly ship. All around one of my all time favorite episodes!

Head canon on saps?
hokay so. i don't have a whole bunch of headcanons for saps & most buuuut here we go!
saps bloom flowers around their necks when theyre really happy. by adulthood most saps have control over it, but young saps are just running around all flower-y all day (this i stole from the fan server)
when a sap dies, the surviving loved ones use the deceased sap's bodies for art and tools. making these pipes, canes, benches, jewelry, sculptures, little figures, all kinds of things, honors that sap. they will not be forgotten; everyone will have a little bit with them, on them or in their homes.
saps have their own language! it's mostly died out due to the Commonwealth's influence and the literacy ban, but there are groups of saps working to bring it back (of which volfred heartily approves)
saps can and do fuck
they don't actually have teeth, they all wear dentures. sometimes they fall out. you're welcome.
it's very scandalous for saps to date nomads due to the massive age difference. it's quiet shocking for volfred to be with oralech, a boy of merely 50 years.
that's it that's the thoughts. all of them are objectively correct.

HI YES SO TRUE. Im so. Ok listen. Babs was originally around a decade older than Dick. There's a panel forever ago where she (mid 20s) kisses him (teen wonder) just to shut him up. My baby boy was set up for failure <3<3 100% that sort of thing was already normalized for him way before Liu.
AND thats not even BEGINNING to get into how much emphasis gets put on robin being batmans /equal/ which on the surface is nice until u realize that it applies to their entire dynamic and that Bruce has told multiple people that Dick didn't count as a child.
Bruce telling Alfred that Dick was "never a boy", Bruce telling Ollie that Dick isn't just a kid and that he'll understand when he finds his own special someone. Like i feel insane. The subtext is textual.
AND THEN theres the jabs that have been made about how both huntress and barbara were almost proxys for Dick, like its strongly implied at some points that he was attracted to them bc they remind him of Bruce.
Also!! I would like to give a note on New Jersey consent laws bc yes Gotham is in NJ and i keep forgetting not everyone knows that. Age of consent is 16. He officially and cannonically lost his virginity at the most barely legal age possible. What the fuck dude!! My baby. My little guy.
(Sidenote for my sidenote: incest is legal in NJ for some reason? But the age of consent for incest is 18? What on earth is the point of any of that.)

I’m going to have to go with My fuzzy Valentine!
I love both plots going on in this episode. We’ve got Bob taking the kids all over the city looking for this love test machine that turns out isn’t even from him and Linda’s first date! And then there’s Linda throwing this speed dating game in the restaurant while he’s gone? Great episode!
I think it’s really sweet that Linda accepts the gift, happily even, after he’s realized his mistake. It’s cute and very them. And of course that who thing with Bosco! I still can’t believe he let her off with no consequences! Listen…I love Bosco so much! It’s so much fun watching that speed dating with him and he’s making all these comments and ruining Linda’s fun. And of course, the part where they talked about their worst qualities about themselves. Mort in this episode was so funny, especially loved that scene where he gets paired up with Bosco and is rubbing his feet!
I know it’s from season 3, which honestly I don’t watch often any more, but I was talking to my coworker about this ask yesterday and he and I were discussing episodes and this one came up. After excitedly discussing it, I realized I actually loved this episode more than I thought AND secret? I def used this episode in February to inspire a little bit of my Valentine’s Day fic. Wanna know why Mort goes on a date with Bosco? This right here!

does babs have a super power?
yes! she can blow up parts of herself and regenerate them (only an evil ass kid would think to harm themselves in order to cause harm to others). Its possible to over do it though and the regeneration can get slowed down from a week to a month. She did it once with her fingers as a teen an now they're permanently maroon colored
