I was thinking about space marine husbandry, specifically chaos marine husbandry, and I got to thinking: What are some places on Earth that marines would be "native" to? For example, I think that the Emperor's Children would call Las Vegas home, and likely a whole lot of Nevada as a whole. My favourite Stinky Boys, the Death Guard, would probably be at home in the great Pacific garbage patch. But where would the World Eaters call home? What about the loyalist Astartes? Would the Salamanders have California, solely because Fire Season, or would they take somewhere else? Anyone else wanna weigh in on this?

She looks at the mighty Chaos Marine that she's been bringing back to her own house. She's seen the posts, the forum threads about how Chaos Marines are dangerous. That having one as a companion will only end in tragedy. She thinks they're exaggerating. Bad news makes the headlines more, of course reports of Chaos Marines turning on and harming their humans would be more popular.

She doubts hers would ever do such a thing. He's such a softy! (or as much a Chaos Marine can be a softy) Sure he's a little grumpy at times but she chalks that up to simply being a Chaos Marine thing. She walks up where he's sprawled out on a bunch of beanbags that have been pushed together to accommodate his size. No hesitation as she joins him on the beanbags. He growls but is quick to make sure to shift to give her space. She can practically feel his eyeroll behind his helmet when she raises her phone to snap a selfie of both of them together.

She posts the picture. Her Chaos Marine is in a nicer mood today, he looks over her shoulder to observe her tapping away on her phone. She doesn't hesitate to reach up to rub the side of his helmet, he doesn't like getting out of armour. A growl from him but he pushes back against her hand rather than swat it away. She beams up at him. She doesn't know why her Chaos Marine is at times uncertain about receiving affection but she trusts that with love and patience, he will open up and be a happy Chaos Marine in her house.
