↘ He instantly smells your delicious blood and almost cries at the sight of the knife covered in red liquid and the onions that were supposed to be part of your disgusting human dinner.

↘ He’s trying hard not to eat your tender, sweet flesh, but after a short breath, he finds a first aid kit and then scolds you from top to bottom. His touch is tender, even though you are well aware that Shuu is holding back all his senses from killing and eating you. He’s a simple man, a bloodthirsty ghoul, so don’t be shocked. Of course he won’t hurt you, but... you never know.

↘ After applying the bandage, he’ll probably lick his fingers to taste your blood, and he feels as if he’s reached the highest level of ecstasy.

↘ Your blood tastes like the sweetest chocolate, the ripest peach, the best wine, like coffee from the most expensive beans. He almost faints at the thought of you being filled with this dark ruby and delicious ambrosia.

↘ “... Thank you for your help, Shuu-kun.” You smile slightly, touching his arm with your hand. The man just nods, kissing your forehead, then disappears from your view as he enters the bathroom to take a cool shower and calm his farious thoughts.

↘ Black Reaper doesn’t show affection to others, unless we are talking about his beloved partner. Then it’s completely different, still dangerous and uncertain, but with you, Kaneki takes off the mask of a dark, vulgar and cruel ghoul.

↘ “May I come in?” He asks softly as your small apartment starts to smell of your sweet like honey blood. Ken tightens his fingers on the doorknob and then enters the room as soon as you let him. One drop of blood escapes from your index finger. You cut yourself with a piece of paper while writing an essay. You look uncertainly at the black-haired man, but you don’t see any negative lust in his eyes. On the contrary, Ken looks worried. “Everything’s all right, love?”

↘ You reply that it’s just a scratch and that you’re fine. Your boyfriend offers you a bandage though, and you smile at him, lightly pressing his body against yours.

↘ “Thank you.” You reply quietly, and he only wonders why. That he didn’t kill you? That he didn’t tear your body in half? That you’re still alive? “... Thank you for being there for me.” His eyes close and he snuggles tighter against your weak, human body.

— TOUKA

↘ Touka is calm and the first thing she will think of is hydrogen peroxide and bandage. She’s not interested in your body, though of course your blood smells like a field of orchids and poppies. This fragrance evokes sentimental memories in her mind.

↘ She examines your wound with the greatest tenderness, and then, equally calmly and without haste, cleans it of any dirt and puts on a professional lint. Her gaze expresses many emotions, none of which are related to her ghoul nature.

↘ “Better now, Y/N?” Dark-haired girl asks calmly, while her hand squeezing yours. You nod your head a bit in response to her brief question and she smiles softly. “Would you like some coffee?” She asks another question, and you nod once more, thanking her for help.

↘ Tonight was full of tenderness and assurances that Touka would never hurt you.

↘ He behaves similarly to Tsukiyama, maybe even worse. The sight of your blood is like a lighter to spilled gasoline. She can’t control herself and runs away as far as possible so as not to hurt you. After all, you are her beloved lover, her little treasure. She can’t afford such a disgusting moment of frailty.

↘ You bandage yourself and expect her return, even though you know it may take several days.

↘ Rize is disgustingly weak when it comes to you; after all you are her greatest drug and probably if she only tasted a drop of your blood or was in the same room with you for a bit longer, she would definitely throw herself at you.

↘ The relationship with her is quite dangerous, but you feel happy with her. Maybe it’s stupid and life threatening, but you really can’t imagine your own life without this beautiful and graceful woman.

↘ He snorts with laughter when your apartment starts to smell like blood. When he enters the bathroom, he sees that you’ve cut yourself shaving and a few drops of blood run down your still wet skin.

↘ “If a razor beats you that much, then seriously consider my proposal to turn you into a ghoul, kitten.” The sarcasm in his voice is strong and you just roll your eyes. You quickly wash the wounds with a cotton swab and water, then find the plaster.

↘ “You know very well that I am the biggest enjoyer of fried rice with vegetables and lasagna. There is no way I will give up these human goods to eat human flesh.” You grimaced at the thought, which made the black-haired man laugh lightly one more time. “You should help me instead of laughing, dumb boy.”

↘ “Hmm... Nope, nah.” He waved at you and then went back to watching TV, calmly waiting for you to come over and lie down next to him.

— NISHIKI

↘ He cares a lot about you; you are the most important person in his life, so the sight of your tear-stained face and chafes on your knees from falling down the stairs is a hard sight for him.

↘ So he takes you into his arms and leads you to the bedroom, where he treats your wounds with the greatest precision with disinfectant spray and bruise ointment. He talks to you a lot during this moment, almost forgetting that he is a ghoul. For sure, a few years ago he would have jumped on you without much thought, just to end your suffering.

↘ Afterwards, he smiles slightly and offers to order you something good to eat to make you feel better. You’ll agree, although you’re asking for a moment of tenderness and a few kisses.

a/n: I said this in the original request post but I’ll say it here too. I’m very rusty with the plot of tokyo ghoul so forgive me if he’s ooc! I’m also anime only since I’ve been having a hard time reading the manga, though I do know what happens in the manga vs the anime. (If anyone wants me to write a proper fic on how you guys met just ask, I’d honestly love to).

⮑ The first time you two met you were walking home from school and got attacked by a rogue ghoul. This ghoul was hunting in a no hunt zone, and you just to happened to be his prey. Ayato was surveying the area when he heard you scream and smelled human blood. Knowing who’s hunting ground it was and that it was probably the rogue ghoul he went over to see what was going on. He was surprised to see that you were fighting back, despite being hold down by the ghouls kagune and seriously injured. You actually managed to injure the ghoul too.

⮑ He took care of the ghoul trying to kill you. While half conscious you heard him mock the guy for hunting in an area with a high count of aogiri members, before tearing his head off. Right after he did you passed out from blood loss. Usually Ayato would’ve killed you or just left you to bleed out, but something about you refusing to give up struck a cord with him. So he sneakily dropped you off at the emergency room and left.

⮑ Next time you guys meet is months later, you recovered fully from the attack, only having scars to show your survival. You were sitting at a coffee shop as the sun set, as a familiar blue haired boy walked inside. At first he didn’t recognize you, and after feeling your gaze on him for a while he turns to yell at you. But suddenly the memories hit him, and he notices that your look is anything but malicious. He decided to bite back his tongue.

⮑ You two would constantly run into each other at that coffee shop. You always have him a genuine smile or silent greeting as he walked by. He found you very peculiar, how you weren’t afraid of him even though he knew damn well you knew he was a ghoul. You didn’t seem uncomfortable around his friends too, and he could tell you knew they were ghouls too.

⮑ You approached him first, having memorized his order. You gave him his coffee one of the times he came in, and thanked him for saving your life. He ofc made a negative quip about how he could care less if you died or not, but you didn’t seem to care. You intrigued him even more. So he told himself he’d give you some of his time. He’d always come to hang out with you, and without realizing it he started falling for you. He hated it.

⮑ He started pushing you away and ignoring you. He stopped showing up to the coffee shop, but he couldn’t help but watch you from afar to make sure you’re safe. One night though you get attacked again when he’s patrolling. And he absolutely loses it. He tears the other ghoul to pieces like a feral animal. He almost hurts you when you walk over to try to comfort him, he’s that crazy.

⮑ He genuinely expected you to be horrified or find him disgusting. Instead you start crying and cup his bloody cheek. His kagune is fully out, his ghoul eyes bright and burning into you, his hair absolutely disheveled. Yet you didn’t seem to care. After you cupped his cheek he could feel his heart pounding, and he slowly started to calm down.

⮑ He let his head fall into your neck as you proceed to hug him, telling him it’s okay over and over. He buried his face into your neck, taking in your scent. He was surprised when he realized the desire he felt over your scent was something quite different than he was used to. He unconsciously started nipping at your neck and scenting you, hoping to protect you as tears streamed down his face.

⮑ That night you two finally come clean about your feelings. And he, reluctantly after lots of reassurance, decides he wants to try being in a relationship with you.

⮑ At the start of your relationship he was very distant and awkward. He wasn’t used to affection and had never been in a committed relationship before.

⮑ He has a habit of stalking you, but not because he doesn’t trust you, he’s just that scared of losing you. You ofc know he does this and you let him, he’s your little protector.

⮑ In front of everyone else he’s an absolute brat, he misbehaves left and right and is very dangerous and powerful. But with you he’s an absolute puppy. Just one touch and he folds.

⮑ You’re the reason he’s able to keep it together as much as he does. You’re always there for him no matter what. Your arms are always open waiting for him when he comes home.

⮑ Speaking of home you two secretly live together once you move out of your parents house. He keeps your relationship as much of a secret as possible. But you don’t mind.

⮑ He panicked the first time you saw him eat leftovers at home. Knowing he eats humans is one thing, seeing it is another. He was scared you’d be uncomfortable or say something inappropriate. So he puffed up like a porcupine ready to defend himself. Instead, you reassured him it was okay. Surprisingly you sat down with him and started eating as well.

⮑ Now though if he eats he will sit next to you nonchalantly and sometimes rest his head in your shoulder as he does. You make him feel that safe.

⮑ He confides in you about his familial issues and all about his big sister. You do your best to help him talk better with Touka, it’s not easy though.

⮑ He’s actually very affectionate when he opens up. He loves hugging and holding you, along with giving you kisses. He tends to greet you with forehead kisses, it’s nice. :>

⮑ He’s pretty good with keeping you up to date on what’s going on in the ghoul world, and you help him with navigating the world as a human.

⮑ You balance each other very well.

He had known for a while but couldn’t confirm it.

He waited for more evidence.

Ken even waited for you to come clean but you didn’t

This is mostly because if he doesn't care, polygamy is okay.

If he cares, polygamy is not okay.

Will be really mad and will not want to talk to you.

Do not do this to him.

He doesn't deserve this, he gives you everything.

Loves you with his heart and soul.

This is basically the last straw for him, like he will not go and be with someone else.

In fact, he might just be mad for a while but still stay with you because he loves you that much he just wants to start over.

Taki would be very hurt deep down and even if he took you back things would be different.

He wouldn't be able to treat you the same after everything.

He still loves you but it hurts to know that you don't love him the same.

He found out on his own by just observing you when he thought things were suspicious, but he wanted to trust you.

He’s unaware of how physically attractive he is. When he goes out with Hinami many girls stare at him, and it’s funny to her because he’s oblivious

In general he doesn’t care about looks, so long as a person’s character is alright

He pierced his own ears with a paper clip + cuts his own hair with scissors

He really likes comics made for kids because he can’t read harder words

Super small, all black wardrobe. No more than a few jackets + shirts, a maximum of two pants, and combat boots.

Gets more piercings when he’s older (bottom lip, ears, eyebrow)

Owns a surprising amount of silver jewellery for someone who likes to be frugal

He knows how to sew but will never admit it out loud. His dad inspired him plus he didn’t want to buy new clothes every time there was a hole. Few people know about this skill, namely Hinami and his family

Loves baby sitting. He’ll never be mean to kids

He lets Hinami paint his nails lol. He doesn’t care about gender roles because growing up all he learnt/cared for was survival rather than societal expectations

Very light sleeper. A door creaking open could wake him up

He tried many methods to grow taller as a kid like drinking milk/ stretching. As an adult he accepted his short king status (reluctantly)

tokyo ghoul characters in a ballet class

kaneki is trying his best but he’s like an awkward little duckling. generally not bad, but constantly questioning why he’s there. always in the back of the class. he can’t fully keep up with the moves and is tripping over his feet.

hide is having the time of his life. absolutely horrible at ballet but smiling the whole time and laughing at his own mistakes. making comments about the “funny words” for the moves. teacher’s nightmare.

haise, unlike kaneki, while still awkward and tripping, is having a great time. very eager to learn. putting 100% effort into everything even though he’s not very good. teacher loves him because he always takes feedback very well.

touka is angry and frustrated the whole time. annoyed because what the teacher tells her to do is “physically impossible.” in my mind, shes not suuuper flexible. limps out of class bc she may have dislocated her hip to get a 90°+ extension.

ayato is similar to touka in that he’s angry and frustrated the whole time because he can’t do anything properly. unlike touka, who complains in her head, he complains out loud. gets thrown out of class for sassing the teacher.

shuu probably already knows ballet. if he doesn’t, he’s definitely a natural. ballet seems like something shuu would really like. super dramatic with everything and gets so into it. class is his stage. has really high jumps.

juuzou loves petit allegro (little jumps). he hates barre though. weirdly good, but he gets so dizzy during turns and lays on the floor after. naturally flexible and the class regulars hate him for it.

do yall remember when naki called shuu an american because he kept yelling in french? well he gets really confused in class and gets kicked out when he yells at the teacher and calls them a stupid american.

saiko makes it through tendus before she gives up and goes to sleep in the corner. she doesn’t wake up when the teacher asks her to leave, so they just leave her there in the corner. either that or she has a lot of fun bouncing around like the sunshine she is.

shirazu talks the entire time the teacher is giving the combination, and the when the music starts, he has no idea what to do. follows other people to get through the combination. not bad at barre actually, but can’t keep up with center.

urie keeps it well hidden, but he secretly enjoys ballet. ballet combines the creativity of painting, and the physical activity of working out, so it’s perfect for him. despite this, no matter how much he tries, he’s not great. he secretly goes to classes a lot though.

mutsuki is actually good but kind of hates it. he might like it more if it didn’t involve tights and a leotard. he’s very graceful and delicate with the way he dances. the teacher loves him and he gets lots of compliments.

Eid Mubarak everyone! Some Tokyo Ghoul Halalverse headcanons for the day and some for this month! A lot of these are courtesy of @backgroundcharacterno7 <3

Haise spends his Eid morning stress cooking he forgets to read his verses at least bc he couldn’t go to Eid prayer. If henna is involved Saiko is smudging that shit to play Project Diva on her PSP. Mutsuki is helping Haise in the kitchen to manage the stress and has a hard dysphoria day going to the masjid. Urie would try to work out extra hard after sehri/suhoor and passes out.

Furuta is banned from the masjid because he keeps shouting “I HAVE A BOMB”, sister Rize is nowhere to be found because he cannot lower his gaze.

Hysy Artmask Studio makes bank on chaandrat because he’s doing everyone’s mehendi. Itori reveals a little more skin the more the next Muslim dudebro asks her to wear the hijab.

Eto probably didn’t even bother to celebrate because she’s like “I didn’t even fast all month” but gets push from Hinami and maybe Naki. Naki is still trying to recite Surahs as we speak. It’s going just as well as you think.

Kimi is fighting the WhatsApp aunties all Ramadan, Nishiki keeps trying to lecture Touka about the hijab only to get strangled with one. Hinami and Touka are the ones that have to take care of all the kids on Eid, and at least gets them candy or coffee in smaller doses.

Ayato tried to sit around food throughout his fasts to prove how much of a tough guy he is.

Juuzou goes to Eid prayer and parties for food, Hanbee has to watch him before someone tries to tell Juuzou to move to the ladies section and about how permissible his stitches are. Hanbee is also left to single parent on Eid.

Ayato Kirishima would not like you at first. Let's be honest here, the Doves use the deceased Ghoul's Kakuhou to make their Quinque. Ayato would hate your guts.

You'd initially been placed on the Quinx squad to more closely observe Haise, or as the Doves know him- Kaneki Ken. You'd never really liked the Doves and had hopes that during your lifetime there would be a rebellion so that Ghouls would be able to live freely and would be accepted socially.

When Haise regained his memories and became Kaneki Ken again, you’d damn near begged him to allow you to be his insider.

You’d meet with Kaneki in secret with his new team, Goat, to go over plans and feed them information.

Initially they were all wary of you, and Ayato had expressed a very clear disagreement with allowing you to join. Fortunately, Kaneki stepped up and explained your situation to the entirety of Goat.

Ayato was initially very, very rude to you. Most of it was passive-aggressive, but it was obvious that he didn’t like you. Especially when you’d confronted him and he said as much.

1. my husband and i couldn’t sit together on the flight, i was so sad. all because of staying up late last night and the late arrival at the airport this morning, so we couldn't check-in in time. luckily, when i got on the plane, i changed seats with another girl, and i got to sit with my husband!!!

Hey I remember one of your posts talked about how ghouls have a hopper phase. Do you have any headcannons on the main cast’s hopper phase?

YES

So ghouls, like rats or mice, have a “hopper” phase as toddlers, they gain full motor control of themselves and have lots of energy, but are no more intelligent than any human 2-3 year old. It’s an evolutionary advantage that would allow even a very young ghoul to escape danger, but mostly it just lets them cause chaos

When Yoshimura was in his hopper phase, it was the mid fifties and there were many more ghouls than there are now. Because of that it was easier for ghouls to find larger communities and pool their kids together for childcare, so he didn’t cause too many problems. He was one among many kids in a similar hopper phase being looked over out in the countryside. The worst he ever did was escape only to be found in a neighbor’s chicken coop after he caught and ate half a chicken. That hunting instinct starts young.

Touka and Ayato were wild, even with two parents they were hard to keep track of. Not because they broke things or ran around, but because they climbed everything. They just had this need to ASCEND. They would be mostly calm, just walking or sitting peacefully, but then their parent would turn around for five seconds, then look back to see them gone. They aren’t here anymore, they have found an open window and are somehow at the top of a telephone pole

It’s a miracle that Nishiki didn’t drown, because this boy LIVED in the river. His mother was from Hawaii, and those ghouls had adapted to be semi aquatic and swim well. This showed up in little Nishiki when he would keep getting out of the shack they lived in and diving into the water. His sister would have to lock him inside and board up the windows so he wouldn’t drown while she was away, and even still he would find a way to get out half the time and live his otter dream

Koma was a MENACE. By the time he was in his later hopper stage his parents were dead and he was living with his adoptive brothers on the run. He was not contained, looked over by teenagers at the oldest, and was pretty much a feral outdoor child. He would run on all fours through alleys like a raccoon, chasing rats and biting ankles. He doesn’t remember it, but he met Hinami’s dad. It was because his brother’s needed to get him a rabies shot because he fought and tried to eat a LOT of pest animals

Irimi was silent and fast. Her parents barely saw her during that time. She would hide under furniture or on the tops of cabinets, she would sprint from one hiding place to another, she would steal bits of meat and then rush back under the couch to eat it. Half the time they would spend an hour trying to confirm that she’s even in the house

Tsukiyama’s hopper stage was just. Pathetic. He was premature and he has a lot of health issues, so he ended up looking like one of those wobbly old dogs and kept falling every ten seconds. His dad baby proofed everything in the mansion is preparation for the terrors of the hopper stage, but Shuu wasn’t actually able to climb and damage anything. For the most part, Mirumo just had to keep people following him to make sure he doesn’t break all his bones sprinting around the building and trying and failing to climb shelves

Hinami was surprisingly destructive. She would break every. Single. Thing. She sprinted and climbed and jumped and chewed and her parents were powerless to stop it. Their glassware is shattered. Their drywall has holes. Their furniture has bite marks. That child can BREAK things

Itori was the same. She was still with her parents and loved to run and jump and break things. During that time they were homeless and wandering since they were all known ghouls, and got caught by the CCG. While her parents tried to hide her away and take care of the doves themselves, she managed to wiggle out of the recycling bin they put her in and join in. She thought it was a game but the bite she delivered to the dude’s Achilles heel was no joke. They all survived that attack and she legitimately helped with her horrid child teeth

Uta was another On Their Own Feral Child, but they had no one with them for most of it. Uta only survived the time between the death of their parents at 3 and being taken in by an orphan ghoul group at 4 because of their hopper phase. They were freaked out and hyper enough that they got aggressive and when someone cornered them, they just straight out bit a chunk out of their thigh to get away. It was decent food, so they did it again to other people. Bitch survived by biting bits out of people like a cookie cutter shark on pure wretched ghoul toddler strength

Renji, like his niece and nephew, was also a “climb everything” kid. It was a serious problem since he and his parents lived in an 8th story apartment at the time so they had to keep the windows bolted closed even in the summer, and when they went out they kept him on a leash
