(Sorry if this has been asked before)

Ken:

He had known for a while but couldn’t confirm it.

He waited for more evidence.

Ken even waited for you to come clean but you didn’t

He hadn’t cried or anything he was just confused and he didn’t understand why you had done it.

He would have preferred you’d just talk to him.

He waited for you when you came back and was arguing with you about it all.

“You smell like him.”

“Ken, I’m not—“

“Save it, get your things an leave. I don’t want to see you.”

Hide:

Was in denial about it for a while.

He didn't think you would ever do something like that.

Hide would brush it off at first but looked into it himself.

When he did, he kept it to himself, he didn't ask you about it.

He wanted to, but he also had trouble believing it.

At some point it became very clear to him and he realized he had to confront you because there was no point in keeping this on.

You came home late and he seemed unphased.

"Having your best friend all over you instead of me?"

"Hide, I didn't mean for it to get this far."

"But you knew you were doing it? I've watched you the entire time for three months. You don't sound like you feel guilt, Y/n, you're just ashamed that I found out!"

"Don't say things like that, Hide."

"I'm not putting up with this I'm leaving, we're over."

Ayato:

His ego is so hurt

Honestly to prideful to admit that he cares.

But he does.

Once he found out, he just stormed out of your life.

He didn't want to do anything.

Just by cheating it was enough for him to leave and never want to see you again.

Would get into a fight with the guy you are sleeping with.

Might even kill him.

Would feel that you were a waste of time.

Yomo:

Hurt, he'd never see it coming.

He let you in, he doesn't do that often.

Yomo was certain you were someone who would never hurt him.

He was always convinced that he would ruin it.

But he was wrong, and he hates it.

He felt betrayed and almost couldn't face you but he needed to hear it from you.

"It's true." You'd admit

"Why?"

"Its--things have changed, were not the same anymore. I should've said something--"

"Leave." He'd say, not wanting to here more about your reasons.

"Ren."

"I'm not doing this with you, get out."

Uta:

It's very possible he doesn't give a fuck, because he usually never does.

All of his relationships pass time so he's probably cheating on you before you were cheating on him.

Honestly has no hard feelings about it.

This is mostly because if he doesn't care, polygamy is okay.

If he cares, polygamy is not okay.

Will be really mad and will not want to talk to you.

He will treat you badly and nothing is about/for you anymore.

Is a completely different person and won't forgive you.

"I'm not your boyfriend anymore, Y/n. Don't expect me to help you."

He honestly doesn't want to talk to you about it, he'll just leave.

Furuta:

Oh no, you are dead.

You literally will be dead, I mean, you need to run for your life.

For like years, do not let him find you.

Because even if he does obess over you his ego is hurt and he will not tolerate it.

And if he's obsessed it will be much worse.

Very abusive, and psychotic about the whole thing. He'd even gaslight you into thinking you don't deserve him.

"I love you, I give you everything, you fucking whore!" He'd argue throwing something at you.

You'd apologize in tears, mostly due to fear not anything else.

Knowing him, he probably just thought you cheated even though you didn't.

He'd consider anything you do cheating.

Takizawa (ghoul):

Do not do this to him.

He doesn't deserve this, he gives you everything.

Loves you with his heart and soul.

This is basically the last straw for him, like he will not go and be with someone else.

In fact, he might just be mad for a while but still stay with you because he loves you that much he just wants to start over.

Taki would be very hurt deep down and even if he took you back things would be different.

He wouldn't be able to treat you the same after everything.

He still loves you but it hurts to know that you don't love him the same.

He found out on his own by just observing you when he thought things were suspicious, but he wanted to trust you.

"You know I just can't understand why, Y/n? We have everything go so well and you just--"

"I'm sorry--"

"Sorry doesn't work! It's not a small mistake!"

Eid Mubarak everyone! Some Tokyo Ghoul Halalverse headcanons for the day and some for this month! A lot of these are courtesy of @backgroundcharacterno7 <3

Haise spends his Eid morning stress cooking he forgets to read his verses at least bc he couldn’t go to Eid prayer. If henna is involved Saiko is smudging that shit to play Project Diva on her PSP. Mutsuki is helping Haise in the kitchen to manage the stress and has a hard dysphoria day going to the masjid. Urie would try to work out extra hard after sehri/suhoor and passes out.

Furuta is banned from the masjid because he keeps shouting “I HAVE A BOMB”, sister Rize is nowhere to be found because he cannot lower his gaze.

Hysy Artmask Studio makes bank on chaandrat because he’s doing everyone’s mehendi. Itori reveals a little more skin the more the next Muslim dudebro asks her to wear the hijab.

Eto probably didn’t even bother to celebrate because she’s like “I didn’t even fast all month” but gets push from Hinami and maybe Naki. Naki is still trying to recite Surahs as we speak. It’s going just as well as you think.

Kimi is fighting the WhatsApp aunties all Ramadan, Nishiki keeps trying to lecture Touka about the hijab only to get strangled with one. Hinami and Touka are the ones that have to take care of all the kids on Eid, and at least gets them candy or coffee in smaller doses.

Ayato tried to sit around food throughout his fasts to prove how much of a tough guy he is.

Juuzou goes to Eid prayer and parties for food, Hanbee has to watch him before someone tries to tell Juuzou to move to the ladies section and about how permissible his stitches are. Hanbee is also left to single parent on Eid.

Surprises

When Uta wasn't painting or making masks, he would be taking you to various places in Tokyo.

Today, he sat at the desk in his studio, scrolling through the cell phone you had bought him.

He had no reason to buy or use a cellphone, so he never had one until you showed him yours. He loved the bright colors your phone had - you got him his own and taught him how to use it.

Many of the ghouls used landlines, payphones, and sometimes even flip phones when necessary as a means of contact.

The phone you had bought him was a standard for your time, a touchscreen.

He soon grew bored with the little interaction it had provided him. He turned it off as he sat up, each vertebra in his back cracking as he leaned back slightly. He raised his arms, stretching, before rubbing his eyes and rolling his head around.

He stood up and turned around. He walked out of his office and closed the door behind him. He waited, listening for any sounds that you made, but there were none. He breathed in. Your scent was faint - you had left.

But where to?

He walked up the stairs and looked around the bedroom. Nothing.

Your scent had been stronger downstairs.

He walked back downstairs, grabbed his sunglasses, and took the elevator to get to the floor that opened up to the outside world.

He looked around, seeing nothing but the other ghouls and smelling the occasional human that walked by.

He removed his glasses to look around quickly before putting them back on.

Again, nothing. He couldn't track your scent, not when it was so easily mixed in with everyone else's.

He sighed as he went back inside and sat down on the couch.

He didn't want you to be alone in the world. It wasn't safe. He wanted to go back up to his studio, where he knew it was the safest spot.

It was still daylight out, though. You should be just fine. You're an adult.

But what if you're not fine? What if something had happened? You were a human. It wasn't a safe world out there all alone.

"They'll be alright," he said to himself as he laid his head back on the couch and stretched his arms out.

He breathed in and out slowly. You would be just fine, at least until sunset - that is when the real danger appeared.

Lurking during the day, waiting for a naïve and dumb human to make such a careless and stupid mistake. How trusting and kind they were.

Uta's eyes slowly closed as he drifted off to take a short and quick nap. Listening very carefully to your footsteps, waking whenever someone had come closer to him, lifting his head as proof, he truly was awake.

The setting sun's orange rays lit up the inside of the building. Uta stepped outside, breathing out slowly, knowing you were out there somewhere, and he would have to hunt you down, but not knowing where to start first.

He breathed in. Your scent was fresh. So fresh, he had just missed you. How could that be?

He turned around so quickly that the person behind him had no time to react. He apologized as he put a hand on them and gently moved them out of his way.

You held your arms to your chest, making 'shh' noises at your chest as you walked into the building. You had snuck out of the building to bring something home and surprise Uta. Ordinarily, you would have told him where you were going, but this time, you didn't.

You knew he would be upset with your sudden disappearance, but maybe your surprise would be good enough for him to not be upset.

You stepped onto the elevator and pressed the four.

You waited, another man joined you, and when it was your stop, you got off.

You walked into the HySy ArtMask Studio and went straight to Uta's office. It was empty.

Your breath caught in your throat. He had been there when you left, and now he wasn't.

You breathed in, it's ok, he couldn't have left.

You walked up the stairs and looked to the right. If Uta wasn't in his office, he would be on the right painting. He wasn't there.

You sat down on the bed and placed the creature on the bed next to you, giving it gentle pets as it mewed.

Uta threw open the door to the building, not really caring if it got damaged or not.

He breathed in your scent, and something else.

He ran to the elevator. It was taking far too long to get to his floor.

He took the stairwell beside the elevator, and by the time he had opened the door and made it to the fourth floor, the elevator dinged as the doors opened up, waiting for its next passenger.

Uta opened up the door to the store, and you raced down to him.

Your foot had just reached the bottom step when Uta stood in front of you.

He gently took your face in his hands and turned your head to look at him.

You smiled happily as he asked where you had been.

"I have a surprise for you."

His face was emotionless. "What is it?"

"Come on, I'll show you!" You replied, as you took one of his hands in and led him up the stairs.

He breathed in, attempting to 'peek' at the surprise. He got a smell, but wasn't quite sure what it was.

"You know, you scared me when you left suddenly."

"I'm fine and I think this surprise will make up for it!"

You said, smiling at him as you stood next to him.

He looked at you. "Where is it?"

"On the bed."

He looked over at it as the creature made another meow.

He knelt at its level.

"What is this?" He asked as he gently poked its ear.

The creature batted at his hand, not liking being poked.

"It's a kitten!" You said as you sat down next to Uta.

"What's it do?"

"Uh, it's similar to a child."

He began to pet the kitten's head, and the kitten began to purr at the affection.

"Why's it vibrating?"

You couldn't help but laugh at his question before finding your composure and answering his question.

"She likes what you're doing. She's showing how grateful she is for your attention and love."

"I like her. How do we take care of her?"

"Cats can sort of take care of themselves. All we need to do is fill her bowl up with food, keep her water bowl filled, and clean her litter box when it's dirty."

"That's it?"

"Yeah, besides interacting with her."

"That sounds nice. Can we get another?"

Shikorae 🫠 : doesn’t sit still long enough to have a conversation that makes any sense whatsoever, has so many issues to the point where idk if you’d even be able to befriend him unless it’s by feeding him coffee grounds

Takizawa (pre :re) 🥺: makes everything a competition, disney kid, insists that you have a glass of milk every day

Takizawa (post :re) 🦉: never sleeps, an actual cat, bites your hand, smelly, insists that you have a glass of milk every day

Urie 😶 : first name is “cookie”, punches a hole in the wall when he doesn’t get an award after a raid and someone else does, hides important stuff from you

Shirazu 🦈 : sooooo cool but he can’t spell so you have to edit all his emails for him

Naki 😎 : loud while playing fortnite battle royale, also screams while playing any horror games but insists he should keep playing them, his reading capabilities have the power to instantly kill a literature major

Hanbee 🎩 : unironically loves licorice, absurd fashion, also eats the licorice with a super fancy fork kept in a little fork bag he carries everywhere labeled “the licorice suitcase”

Tatara 🤯 : is always busy so you can’t spend much time together, one time a cat meowed at him and he meowed back in the most serious voice, penis is actually too big to fit inside 😔

Mutsuki 😇 (before the insane shit happened): you have to kill all the spiders, very clingy and has similar issues to pre-aogiri Kaneki, puts cinnamon on a lot of things that don’t really need cinnamon

Arima 🌨 : cold, you’ll never truly know about him, not very open, a general mystery to the point where you don’t even know if he’s actually your boyfriend

Haise 🐼 : BAD PUNS, insists that he spends every afternoon and evening with you instead of doing his work so he ends up doing it super late into the night and gets tired in the morning, too easy to manipulate and too eager to please (kind of an issue with all the Kanekis really), sometimes he talks to the wall or makes a sour face for no reason

Yamori 🕺 : sadistic torturer (obvious part), his farts smell so incredibly bad that you have to evacuate the room while he wonders wtf is going on (not so obvious), unfixable

OS! Kaneki 😎 : walks around shirtless in winter, sometimes he doesn’t even wear pants, touches your boobs randomly and it gets old real fast

I don't know If there was such discussion before, so I will begin it myself anyways. It's a tough topic (at least for me to consider alone) but I am certain some of y'all would be eager to tell your speculations or headcanons. Or tell me that I did not read Tokyo Ghoul carefully lmao (I read it years ago and focused mostly on my favourite characters pqifhiuqehf)

What do you think about the very first kill that a ghoul does? What I mean is - do you believe they twist something in their sanity with doing so? How does it work for them, taking for an example Nishiki who as a child felt absolutely bad for feasting on a human and now he is pretty much fine with it. Or Tsukiyama, he also held some sort of guilt, yet in his adulthood we see him fooling people into to the restaurant where the scrapper plays with their life - for gourmets entertainment. Still, those two can show humanity and empathy. And there's also Ikuma! A ghoul raised by a human, never killed anyone and doesn't want to.

How much each kill influence the mind of a ghoul - a literal born predator? Where does the term "psycho" starts with one and how different is it from a human perspective, because they are also predators, yet they don't feast on kind that seems so similiar. How much social exclusion of them has to do with it?

Ken also likes the doodles you paint on them since they look so pleasing.

You also probably like making aesthetic and minimalist vases which he likes to put on the coffee table you both have or somewhere on a counter of your apartment.

If people come over and like the vase, he will be excited to tell them that his girlfriend made them.

Ken even likes it when you sculpt random things too.

Hide:

Omg he’s thrilled to see your work every single time as a cake decorator.

Like he brags about your work all the time.

At first you did it for fun but he advertised you so much that you got a job for it.

He looks forward to parties and birthdays because he gets to see your work.

He sometimes will just watch you pipe and he’s just an awe like a child.

Would never critique bc he doesn’t know how to do anything he just praises your work.

When it’s his birthday you have to go all out mostly cause he just likes seeing your creativity.

He finds it interesting.

And he likes seeing you in an apron, he literally bought you a custom one that says “I love Hide.”

Ayato:

Thinks it's cool, mostly cause he can. drink coffee and actually appreciate the work more.

He also likes it because it's something you do.

Let me be clear if his sister was a barista he could give less of a fuck.

It also causes you to put a lot of time into it.

And he likes it if you make a personalized design for him.

He's not a huge fan of the heart doodles that much.

Cause he thinks they're "girly".

So he prefers designs like the realistic cat.

In general, if his girl is an artist he's not that big on it because he literally cannot do any form of art whatsoever.

So he barely gets the point and only admires you bc he's obsessed with you and no one else.

seriously he has a one-tracked one and is very picky.

Yomo:

Like Ayato he doesn't really understand art nor can he do it.

But unlike him, he will admire the works of others since it's something he can't do.

Even if he wouldn't admit it.

Though if there's one thing you both know he likes your photographs.

I mean you even take pictures of the two of you or just him and it looks great!

You pin them in the room and he thinks all your photos look perfect even if you don't think so.

One of your favorite things is to take pictures of him, like the left photo, rather than taking pictures of yourself.

Because of your photography skills and influence, he kinda learns a little bit about lighting and angles and how to use a camera.

Since he cares about you a lot tho, he would probably buy you one of those expensive cameras that you've always talked about.

Even if you do things with film he's interested and willing to see your works.

Uta:

Ohhh two artists, the studio isn't big enough for the both of you.

Well, that is when Uta gets competitive anyways.

It's not always, but sometimes he wants to challenge you about art.

"Let's see who's better at tattoo art." He'd say.

"Uh, no fair. That's your thing, Uta." You'd point out.

"That's the point, babe or should I say, amateur." He'd smirk making your mouth agape.

"Hey!" You'd exclaim.

"What's the matter? You gonna lose?" He'd tease.

You'd grow competitive yourself after here this, "Oh you're so going down, loser!" You'd giggle before getting the materials for the task.

It's always such a battle to win, it's mostly cause he's good but also fast. He is probably much faster than you because he does it as a job.

"Hah! Done before you in record time." He'd smirk, rubbing it in your face while you looked at him with your arms crossed. Completely annoyed by him.

Sighing you'd ask, "Okay, what do I have to do?"

He'd look at you with a playful smirk, "Ohhh can you guess?"

You'd look at him biting your lip before saying, "It's that three-letter word isn't it?"

He'd laugh, "You're good at being the loser in this game, you know?"

You'd playfully hit him, "Shut up!"

In general, though, he likes your art work.

But he has a habit of kissing you when you're trying to paint so you sometimes mess up.

Or rather you can't finish the piece because he's keeping you busy with other activities.

But you're the same with when he's working so it's fair.

You've learned to pull him away from work since he does it to you.

You two have paint fights.

Also, he likes seeing you pin up the art bc its an excuse for him to look at your butt.

Gosh, I need more of an exclusive ask for hcs with him just to write more about an artist gf. So I'm cutting it here lol.

Furuta:

Music and dance, sort of both tbh.

Or either one.

But he'd probably like a girl who is a ballet dancer since they are graceful.

Believe it or not, he likes watching the plays, and if you were in one he'd definitely want to see it.

He also likes to help you stretch or watch you stretch.

Idk why but I get the feeling that he likes to help you put your ballet shoes on.

If you can play the piano he really likes it and could listen to the tunes you create all day long.

Hide is famous. His blog is huge and his shitposts are insane. He never talks about it but logs on daily to drop a weird text post that is passed around the internet within a week. He doesn’t tell his friends about it because he thinks it’s funny

Kaneki has had tumblr since the trenches of middle school because he liked the literature side of things. He posts mostly opinions on novels and quotes from them. His page is completely book analysis with an average of 4 likes on a post but one day he figures since no one’s really paying attention to the blog he could vent about how much it sucks to be a ghoul sometimes and how it’s exhausting trying to mask it and that the gay sex he’s having with a CCG employee is actually extra fun because of how illegal it is. That goes viral and he tries to delete it but by then it’s been reblogged

some assorted utaren headcanons, because today a friend of mine said he finds stuff like this annoying (and i’m procrastinating writing a paper rn) :)

renji enjoys being the little spoon when they cuddle

uta is the designated “spider killer” of their house, even though he never actually kills them. (he can excuse mass murder, but he draws the line at smushing spiders)

they learned how to bake for ichika and got surprisingly good at it

due to his genetic mutations, uta has a very high metabolic rate (in order to keep up with his high rc content). because of this, he is always hungry and suffers from migraines often

a u t i s m (this goes for both of them)

renji vocally stims by making small clicking sounds in the back of his throat (yes, the ones ravens make) when he’s comfortable around someone. uta absolutely loves it when he does this

uta has specific fabrics that he enjoys the texture of, and when making a mask when them, he steals a piece to run his fingers over (tactile stimming) (he’s just like me fr)

once a month, renji agreed (very reluctantly) to let uta choose his outfit and let him do his makeup for a date

Uta With An Oblivious Reader

Uta had tried his best at giving you hints that he liked you. He'd give you gifts, ask you to hang out with him, spending every chance he could at being with you, and yet you still hadn't caught on.

He was in the process of making a mask for you, another attempt at showing you some sort of interest.

You walked into the HySy ArtMask Studio, looking around, seeing all the masks that had been made, but no Uta.

You walked over to the counter and sat down, waiting for Uta to come to find you, as you didn't want to disturb him and his work.

Uta sat in his office with the door closed, too caught up in his work, not hearing the door open and close as someone had come in.

He breathed heavily as he lifted the mask with shaky hands, looking to see if it was finally finished.

He paused for a moment, hearing and sensing someone was inside his studio.

He took a few breaths to calm himself down.

He got up and walked to the door, opening it to see the mannequins that held the masks, he couldn't see anything else.

He moved quietly around the mannequins and saw you, you lifted your head and smiled at him.

"Hi, Uta!"

Uta's face was expressionless, he wasn't expecting you to be here, and he was at a loss for words.

He turned around and went back into his workroom and came back out holding something behind his back.

He walked over to you and held out the mask to you.

"Hi, I made this for you, I hope that you like it."

He said as he looked at you.

You smiled happily and took the mask from him.

"Thank you so much!" You said as you put the mask on your face. "It fits perfectly!"

He smiled and sat down across from you, "It looks good on you."

You took off the mask, "Thank you."

You reached a hand out to him, wanting to hug him but you stopped yourself, as you sensed a change in the air.

"Y/N, you know I like you right?" He asked as his eyes met yours.

"Of course, you're a really good friend!"

Uta lowered his head as he tried not to be upset or show any sort of disappointment. He hoped it was only a misunderstanding since 'like' is a pretty big word.

"Are you ok?" You asked as you reached your hand out to touch his cheek.

He smiled and leaned his face into your hand.

"I mean I like you in a relationship way."

"Ohh."

He lifted his head and nodded, waiting for you to say something, anything further.

"I like you too, Uta."

He breathed out and smiled happily, he got up from his chair and accidentally knocked it over in his excited state.

He went over to you and hugged you, you turned around just in time to come face to face with him, and hugged him back.
