I can't find the post now, but just a month or so ago someone on here was talking about how fucked up Akira was, and one point mentioned how she viewed ghouls as merely quinque materials and not people. And at the time, I read past it, like it was just a little meta analysis detail, like "yeah she sure gives those vibes, that does seem like her thought process".
But... Oh...
That wasn't just something they extrapolated from the story, it was straight up a whole scene, I just didn't remember it
