Hi 🥺 what if they- 👉👈 what if they got mawwied???? 💕💕💕

Okay hi I’ve been working on these on and off all month (mostly off I got really busy whoops) and I have A LOT of thoughts about a Legbone wedding (ft. the drawtectives cause they really are my blorbos)

Anyways here’s a list of headcannons that I didn’t get to draw:

So right off the bat let’s talk OUTFITS

To me Legzi and Ryjinah had gone looking for dresses but Legzi wasn’t really pumped about any of them

So maybe they went on a road trip (because ladies bookclub road trips my beloved) to either go look in a different boutique or to do other wedding related shenanigans

And on the side of the road Legzi spots this rag

And of course it’s a torn up wedding dress and suddenly she has a Vision^TM

Just Legzi being more excited about fixing up this dress than anything she could have just bought up to that point

Because to me Legzi is someone who loves to feel like a part of the process and having all her random skills she picked up from Darkmouth

Then design wise I wanted something puffy so I could hide how much taller I made her

Because personally I think her using the leg stilts on her wedding day is not only very Legzi^TM but I also made myself laugh with the concept :)

And florals because those are fun, green, and easy to make by hand (as someone who’s made a lot of ribbon flowers)!! The vines were places where the dress was really torn and needed more structural stitching

Ryjinahs dress on the other hand I wanted to take some inspiration from her season 1 design (even though I haven’t seen it)

Also I love a chance to draw some boob

so anyways York’s invitation

I’ve said it before but “artists draw fan art of each other’s art” where Karina drew Ryjinah, York, Rowan, and Jacob horse all hanging out is CANON TO ME

Which is why all of those characters were invited!! :)

Anyways I imagine all the invitations had your standard stuff- names, dates, rsvp section

But where it would’ve said +1 I think Ryjinah scribbled that out and hand wrote “+2 ;)”

Which of course Grandma would be slightly flustered by meanwhile York is like “AWESOME you guys can come!!!”

I believe in drawtectives polycule supremacy and also York is aroace

Which also lead to my miniature leg wrestling joke :)

Oh but the second York and Rah’ōxah lock eyes they’re going to leg wrestle (Pokémon rules)

Then they can become friends too and we can make Julia’s drawing in “pro artists redraw their old OCs” canon!!!

Rah’ōxah is both Legzi and Ryjinahs maid of honor :)

She’s awesome of course she can do both!!!!!!

I wish I had drawn this but to me Parker the cat officiated :)

Maybe while standing on top of Parker the horse

Ryjinah was not pleased with this but also couldn’t say no to the combined force of Legzi and Rah’ōxah’s puppy dog eyes

Plus Parker the cat is the only person (cat) they know who’s ordained

Oh last thing I wanted to but didn’t draw was a Rosé & Rowan interaction

Or not even so much of an interaction but they catch each other’s gaze from across the room and freeze

Oh more headcannons but they’re siblings to me

I mean dyed hair? Knives? Mysterious pasts? Color schemes?? Attracted to himbos???

Anyways they both have moved on from their family in different directions

So to suddenly meet again even from across the room

Then York or Gramdma calls for Rosé and she looks away and they’re gone

But I digress

Tbh for everyone’s outfits I kinda just went “you know what would be cute???”

So floral dress for grandma (obviously)

Jumpsuit + long gloves for Rosé because vibes

Unbuttoned shirt and double breasted vest for York so he doesn’t have sleeves

Similar thought process for Rah’ōxah because they give off similar vibes BUT I made Rah’ōxah’s the same colors as Ryjinah and Legzi so she could match both :)

Then a demon Johnny button on her outer vest kinda like the pin/broach she has in Julia’s drawing in pro artists redraw old OCs

Rowan I just wanted to look swanky and what’s more swanky than a tailcoat?

And for everyone but Rah’ōxah I tried to keep to their normal color schemes!! :)

Are all these outfits practical for what I made a beach wedding on a whim? Absolutely not

I gave pretty much all of them some sort of heels even if they are technically wedges which is better but STILL

Beaches are fun and easy ish to draw and I never do backgrounds anyways give me a break lol

But anyways I think that’s all my thoughts!!!

Modern!Rowaelin would be a fucking power couple (and with you a power trio)

Let’s say for this hc that Aelin and Rowan are just a rich couple that come from old money. I’m talking old New England money but they give it a new look bc Aelin likes new stuff, Rowan is like the antique collector in the relationship

When you met they were shopping for art at the gallery you worked at

You had just graduated college a year or so ago and this was your entry level job in the art world. You were actually very familiar with the pieces the gallery sold and you have an insane memory for art history

Aelin and Rowan came in to buy a few pieces for their new apartment in the city so you showed them a few pieces since the owner was busy

The three of you hit it off and they offered to take you out to dinner once you finished with work

You met them at the five-star restaurant that was in their building and that’s when they asked you out. “We knew once we met you we had a connection. If you don’t feel the same way please feel free to reject us and we can pretend this never happened.” Aelin said

But you had felt an instant connection with them too. You felt safe and at home around them. You knew you needed to be with them

After that night you moved in with them and they talked you into quitting your job and working for their clients as an art collector

It was like a dream come true

Aelin and Rowan spoiled you with love, attention, and gifts

You weren’t always a material person, you grew up getting things you asked for that were within your family’s budget but this was a whole other level

After a year of being with them they gave you a credit card, “unlimited spending baby. Anything you want it’s your.” Rowan said kissing you on the cheek

Shopping sprees with Aelin were the best! Those were your bonding trips and when you truly got to know each other. You talked about everything while wandering the aisles of high end department stores, trying on shoes and clothes

Lingerie shopping was the most fun since you would pick out pieces that would drive him crazy (and each other)

There may have been a time or two where you both couldn’t keep your hands to yourself in the changing room

With Rowan your bonding time was going on walks or runs or him teaching you how to work out at the gym

When you were out in nature with him that’s when you saw him most relaxed (besides at home)

Your yearly summer vacation is always to Cape Cod

Both their families have beach houses there but they wanted their own in a different area, so they bought one just before they met you

The house is huge and you obviously use it more than once a year but you always had those set 2 weeks in July that you would go

No work. No distractions. Just the 3 of you, the beach, and fun times

You and Aelin of course demand the best lobster rolls which Rowan gets for you

Ice cream every night after dinner

And they buy you all the souvenirs you want

Two days before you were set to leave, you and Rowan were packing. You folded he put away (he’d never admit it but he’s awful at folding clothes but he tries)

Aelin came running into the bedroom with a shit eating grin on her face that told you two she wanted something, “Row, y/n/n.” “Yes Aelin.” You responded in unison

“I just realized we need something for the Cape house that we don’t have.” Rowan rolled his eyes, “And what would that be, Fireheart?”

“We don’t have a Jeep!” You and Rowan shared a look. “Ok A, so what do you suggest?” Aelin clapped her hands together in excitement “We’re going to get one obviously.” “Right now!?” “Yes Rowan. Come on you’re driving.”

She rushed back out of the room and you followed her as Rowan let out an exasperated sigh, tilting his head back

45 minutes later you were all sitting in the Jeep dealership

Not only did you leave with a Jeep wrangler, but she also managed to find a beautiful jet black convertible Audi

Aelin insisted you bring both to Cape Cod and of course Rowan gave in to her

One Shot Recs

I've either run or played these all as one shots, and are ones I recommended to a friend recently. I also have links at the bottom to a bunch of free quickstarts for more games to look at that might be good for one shots too.

Blue Rose - AGE system from Green Ronin. Romantic fantasy where royalty is chosen by a magical stag and the rich are appropriately taxed. Cool Stunts mechanic to do extra abilities during a turn, easy system to get used to but has that crunchy feel too. Sentient animal race that forms bonds with people is an instant love every time. Free quickstart.

Heart: the City Beneath - Resistance system by Rowan Rook & Decard. A dungeon crawler where the dungeon is an NPC. Take stress until you can't, go out in a blaze of glory with one time Zenith abilities, such as summon a train to wipe out everything in its path - including you. Heart's the love of my life and the first RPG to make me cry(in a good way). It's earnest and grotesque and something about going in knowing you will End, and choosing it, does something to me. Also you can be full of bees(on purpose). Quickstart is PWYW($3ish suggested) but you should give them 1 million dollars actually.

Bones Deep - Troika! system based by @technicalgrimoire. The other love of my life. Be a skeleton on the ocean floor! What happened to your skin? Not important! Do jobs for witches, get credits from the crabs, join the cephalopods in their nefarious plans. The classes are fun(shapeshift your bones, or carve spells into them), and the mix of horror and humor is immaculately weird. Many random tables and a couple scenarios to make it easy to start swimming walking. Also not free($15 for digital), but worth every cent and then some(and the website is awesome resource!).

Index Card RPG - d20 system from Runehammer Games. It's 'simple enough to fit on index card'. There's actually lots of stuff, but it's easy to get a game rolling fast! Be a gerblin, get a bunch of loot. If you're a chronic low roller like me, a nice mechanic is when you fail you get to put points in a pool to use for later rolls. Probably the easiest one on this list to jump to from DnD. Free quickstart.

Wildsea - Wild Words system from Mythworks(took me awhile to find the name for it lol which isn't important just play it xD). You can be a mushroom person piloting a giant whale bone ship with a chainsaw on the front above a sea of trees. The world is so cool and unique. Health is measured in stuff to lose/break and there's a sliding success mechanic(you succeed, you succeed BUT- etc.). Free quickstart.

Tales from the Loop - Year Zero engine by Free League. Be kids in an alternate 80s-90s Scandinavia(or US) setting trying to navigate growing up alongside strange tech and apathetic adults. I really like how they tweaked the system to make it fun being kids for this, with iconic items and luck points, and it's very collab focused. I used this scenario as a one shot. There's a starter's set for $4.99.

Old Gods of Appalachia - Cypher system by Monte Cook. Face horrors man-made and monstrous in the haints and hollers of an alternate 1930ish Appalachia. Based on the podcast(don't know anything about the podcast? Even better imo). Cyphers are neat one-time use items you find during game to make you stronger/invisible/etc. Free quickstart.

Under Hill, By Water - OSR hack by Rise Up Comus. Hobbits! Okay, "halflings" for copyright but...it's hobbits. While some are off saving the world, your greatest worry is finding the lost pig before your wife realizes it's missing. It's not a boring life, just a quiet one. Random table generators for Events to happen each season make this easy to pick up, or come up with your own! $10. We loved this one so much we turned it into a mini campaign.

Mörk Borg - OSR-ish by Free League. Last but not least in the amount of shelf space in my room! The basic rules fit on one piece of paper, but the books are packed with amazing art and delicious disgustingness. It's easy, quick and deadly, with so many random tables for generating baddies, loot, etc., and usually each version of it has a doomsday countdown calendar with horrid new things to add, and then a final horrible event to end the game. It IS very dark and gloom, and I don't normally play it as rough as the OG, which works out fine! You can get a free version of the core book on the website linked, and tons of other free goodies there. My current fav hacks are Pirate Borg and Ork Borg.

My mum, my brother, my boyfriend, and I went to an amazing little concert today at a very nice and very cozy and smallish venue to see one of my favorite musical theater stars (drew sarich) and it was suuuuch a good time <3

2. Every single time somebody says something nice about my art in the tags because it FUELS ME <3

3. In general the amount of art I've been making, it's so nice how much inspiration and motivation is coming to me lately ;--; Good Omens is one hell of a drug haha

4. My boyfriend surprised me with a bottle of my favorite ice tea one day after work - nothing super special maybe but it's always so nice to realize that you're being thought of yk :')

5. I had a few days of being very down and negative about my art and my progress lately but my best friend sent me several very long voice messages full of encouragement and love and support and I just. I just love her so much. I would give up on sooo many projects if she wasn't constantly there to cheer me on <3 (@tyciana here's to you i love you <3)

6. Getting together on discord with @rowan-ashtree to watch two episodes of Gomens every sunday for the last few weeks, cause it's always such a fun time just screaming and rambling and theorizing at each other! :')

7. One more TINY thing but it was really nice - I've been sick for the last few days (finally getting better thank Someone), and at work today (I work at a doctor's office) one of the patients told me it's so good to see that I'm back and feeling better :') Like!! I was only gone for two days!! What a sweetheart of a person. I always do my best to help all the patients out with everything as much as I can, and I guess it's just nice to know that it's noticed and appreciated <3

Book review: 'Dreamland Billionaires' series by Lauren Asher

Step into the lavish world of the Dreamland Billionaire series, where dreams are as big as bank accounts, and the drama is richer than a double espresso on a Monday morning.

#1. The Fine Print: 4/5 stars

I ended up giving this book a 4-star rating. Was it amazing? Nah, not really. Did it keep me hooked and make me finish it in one sitting? Yeah, it did.

So, the story is all about Rowan, who's supposed to inherit his grandpa's fortune and is running Dreamland amusement park, and Zahra, who works there. Rowan's got to find the park's weak spots to get his inheritance, and Zahra's dream is to be a creator, so she gets roped into helping out.

Now, let's talk characters:

Rowan: Your typical grumpy guy with some daddy issues. He gets oddly excited when Zahra touches his leg. Weird, right? Oh, and he's into art, which adds a bit of depth to him, but it's resolved too quickly.

Zahra: She's all sunshine and rainbows, forgiving Rowan way too easily and laughing way too much.

Cringeworthy moments:

These characters act more like teens than adults, which is kinda cringe.

Zahra describing Rowan's butt as a "firm bubble butt" was just... no.

That first kiss in the office? Totally out of place.

Rowan crawling to Zahra on the floor? Ugh, just why?

But hey, there were some good things, like the inclusion of Zahra's sister Ami, who has Down Syndrome. It's awesome to see that kind of representation in popular books.

Despite its flaws, I'll probably keep reading the trilogy because, let's be real, they're pretty addictive.

#2. Terms and Conditions: 4.5/5 stars

"Terms and Conditions" felt like "The Fine Print" with a slightly better font, and I'll be real, those last 80 pages? Nah, fam, we could've done without 'em.

From the get-go, Iris and Declan steal the spotlight. Their dynamic was entertaining, but I could've done without the whole "Is Iris setting this up because she likes me?! Eww" vibe.

Now, onto the characters:

Declan: Dude's got serious daddy issues, but his introverted, grumpy demeanor was oddly endearing. His subtle affection for Iris and efforts to help her with dyslexia were highlights.

Iris: Queen Iris, y'all! Loved her as the strong, determined female lead. Though I felt her third act drama was a tad over-the-top, she taught Declan some valuable life lessons.

In short, Declan's complexity outshone Rowan's, and Iris was a force to be reckoned with.

Favorite moments:

Their banter: “We both know you actually like my brain.” “I like your heart more.”

Declan's little gestures of affection: “I did some research on how people with learning differences like yours do better with verbal and written instructions.”

And that tear-jerker quote? Hits you right in the feels.

Overall, despite the familiar feel, "Terms and Conditions" delivers a solid slow burn romance with relatable characters and some heartwarming moments.

#3. Final Offer: 3.5/5 stars

"Final Offer" was a bit of a letdown, honestly. It felt like it dragged on forever without much excitement. The plot was a mix of clichés, and it just didn't bring anything fresh to the table. Plus, it moved at a snail's pace, which made it a bit of a chore to get through.

Characters:

Alana: Unfortunately, she fell flat for me. Her lack of empathy and manipulative tendencies made it hard to connect with her. Plus, her behavior towards Cal bordered on emotional abuse, which was a major turn-off.

Cal: He had his struggles, but he still had some charm left in him. His journey through addiction and personal demons was touching, but it didn't fully shine through in this installment.

Favorite Moments:

Latin Representation: Kudos to the author for portraying Latin culture well. It was a nice touch and added depth to the story.

Revisiting Previous Characters: Seeing familiar faces from earlier books was a highlight. It added a layer of continuity and nostalgia to the story.

Cal himself was alright, but even his charm couldn't save this sinking ship of a romance plot. The whole thing just felt flat and uninspired.

So yeah, "Final Offer" ended up being a bit of a dud for me.

Overall, the Dreamland Billionaire is a good series with its diverse tropes and well-developed characters. Each book brought something unique to the table, from the grumpy/sunshine dynamic to the fake marriage trope and the second chance friends-to-lovers storyline. And you're spot on about Final Print—it tackled the complexities of "functional" alcoholism with sensitivity and depth. Overall, it's been a fantastic journey with lovable heroes and heroines, plenty of HEAs, and enough feels to last a lifetime!

A Court of Silver Flames Review

Let me just say that I recently saw Sarah's interview where she says that Nesta is the most personal she got with her character and that she sometimes felt like Nesta did and I just wanna give Sarah a big big hug! You climbed the mountain, Sarah, just like Nesta did and you're helping many people, me included climb theirs, so thank you! Now the book!

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and a half (officially second favorite of the series)

If this was the last book of the series I would be very very pissed because I still have too many questions without an answer! But since it isn't (thank the cauldron!) it was a fantastic book!

Nesta's journey was very slow build but I really appreciated that because that's how it is when you're in a such dark place. Sometimes it's painfully slow for you to get to the other side! I loved the Valkyries storyline and that she found friends outside of the night court. I love the night court but just like Feyre has her art studio, Nesta needs also a purpose outside of it. And the Valkyries fit perfectly. Also, how cool was her relationship with the House?! I want one!

I saw some comments online of people saying they ended up disliking Cassian after the book but that didn't happen with me at all. I liked him even more (he's my second favorite brother, for now!) It was so interesting to see him trying the girls and taking care of Nesta, we really got a sense of what a great guy he is. The only thing I thought it was missing was his war general side. I wished we could see his strategic thinking more, or him with his troops.

The two of them are warriors at heart and they fit perfectly together and there's not much to say about that. I had no doubt Nesta would accept the bond, not when she was so obviously in love with him and their relationship just naturally built (it reminded me a bit of Aelin and Rowan to be honest, with the "hatred" in the beginning, and the training, I thought that was cute).

The whole baby Nyx storyline with Feyre and Rhys almost gave me a heart attack! When Rhys told the brothers the baby had wings I got that dread feeling in my got and at the end of the book I just wanted to cry. Also, it was very cruel, good cruel, awesome, of Sarah to make us live through that in Nesta's POV. But I honestly don't think I would've made it until the end if it was Rhys or Feyre's POV. I would've crawled into a ball and just stayed there holding the book. But if one day, Sarah decides to right a novella with their povs, I will buy it and sob!

HOWEVER, all is beautiful, all is magical and all ends well but I have questions.

1- What's up with Azriel and Elain? If the next book is truly about Elain, then it's going to be a mess. She's ignoring Lucien all she can and I don't know how that's going to change. And Azriel, who was all certain she was meant for him, now is making eyes at Gywn. Sure, Rhys ordered him to stay away from Elain, but didn't he move on kinda fast? Also, let's suppose for a second that Eris dies somewhere in the next book, would it be possible for Lucien to be the heir of Autumn court? But as Helion's son (we still have that little revelation to look forward to) would he also be the heir to Dawn court? I also saw someone hypothesizing that Tamlin wouldn't survive in the next book and that Lucien could be the heir to the spring court as well, that Elain would fit well there. So the possibilities are endless...

2- What's the next storyline going to be, hunting for Koschei? Tracking down the other queens? Now that Nesta has given up most of her power, would some of the burden fall to Elain, being she the strongest of the two?

3- Are Mor and Emerie going to be a thing? I'm all for it!

4- Amren and her theory about Rhys being High King Amren always seems to know more than everyone else and she clearly thinks that fate is showing signs of the path forward, where Rhys and Feyre would be High King and Queen. I don't know how I feel about this. But though I love Amren, I sometimes feel like she isn't showing all her cards.

There are probably more but I guess it all depends on how long ACOTAR is going to be. 7 books + 1 novella like TOG? More? Less?

I guess what I'm saying is that we need at least two more ACOTAR books to make sense of all of this!
