༉‧₊˚. Featuring. Tonowari/Ronal x fem! Daughter! Reader
༉‧₊˚. Request From [🫧 anon]. Hi! I’ve never actually requested before, but could I ask for some really fluffy Ronal/Tonowari x child reader? Like a little kid if that’s possible like you can ignore this I’m not expecting anything and now I’m rambling woo + I’m hoping for some fluff where maybe reader made jewelry for Ronal and Tonowari (I feel like everyone I know made dodgy bead bracelets as a kid) out of shells they found in the beach? Like I can see Tonowari just like “yes, my child is so smart omg” like so happy his kid made him a necklace or bracelet or something showing it off to the clan. Ronal gets a headpiece and immediately puts it on like she’s going about her Tsahik duties being terrifying but also she’s wearing a headpiece her child made for her which is adorable but if anyone else but reader comments on it they’re going to die.
༉‧₊˚. Summary. You wanted to show your parents how much you love them, what’s a better way than to make them gifts that they could wear forever.
༉‧₊˚. General Tags. Fluff.
༉‧₊˚. Content Warnings. Threats [not towards you].
༉‧₊˚. Word Count. 1,3k.
༉‧₊˚. Index. Olo’eyktan — Clan Leader, Tsahik — healer of the clan, Marui — homes of Na'vi clans like the Metkayina or the Ta'unui, Sa’nu — Mommy, Sempu — daddy, Itetsyip — little daughter, Yawntutsyip — darling, little loved one, Irayo — thank you, Akula — shark.
༉‧₊˚. Notes. Thank you 🫧 for this cute request, I really hope you liked it. I decided to add Rotxo in this, hope you don’t mind. | This might be bad, I'm sorry. | I'll be working on your other requests which I love btw, the tall req, I'm already thinking of a part 2 for it, I can't wait for you to see what I've planned. | Also pls send your pronouns so I know for future reference. ☺️
༉‧₊˚. Extra. Comments, likes, and reblogs are highly appreciated but not pressured. 🤍

➱ "Sa'nu! Sa'nu!" you run into the Marui where Ronal is making dinner with Tonowari right behind you smiling at how excited you are.
➱ “Yes ma’itetsyip, I’m right here.” She says as she steps away from the pot and brings you in for a hug which you happily return. “How was your day?” she pulls away to look at you and moves a strand of your hair behind your ear.
➱ “Sempu and I went looking for more shells and we found a lot.” Ronal smiles and stands and faces her mate as Tonowari steps in and gives her a kiss on her forehead. “Is that so?”
➱ “Mhm, she caught them all by herself.” he ruffles your curly hair which makes you laugh. “What will you do with them now that you have enough?” He looks down at you and you just smile up at him. “I can’t tell you it’s a secret.” You pretend to zip your lips and throw away the key and Ronal couldn’t help but chuckle as she looks from you to Tonowari who has a smile on his face. They didn’t know how they got so lucky to have a wonderful daughter like you, Ronal knew you’d be the best big sister to the little baby boy she was carrying, thoughts like that would bring tears to her eyes which she’d constantly reassure you were happy tears.
➱ The next day, as soon as you woke up, you put all the shells in a bag making sure you got every one of them and kissed both your mother and father before you were on your way to your spot near the beach to start on your projects.
➱ You could have stayed in the Marui but you didn’t want your parents to know what you were doing. You thought since they were hardworking people with not only the job of taking care of the people but had the job of taking care of you so you wanted to make them gifts to show your appreciation.
➱ A necklace for your dad and a headpiece for your mom, you took your time on them so they could at least look a bit presentable, you wanted them to like your gift and maybe wear it forever. As you worked on the necklace, Rotxo made his way over to you, “Hi y/n, what are you doing?” he asked as he sat down next to you, you only took your eyes off it for a second to smile at him. “I’m making gifts for my sa’nu and sempu.” Rotxo smiled back at you and fidgeted with his thumbs a bit. “Do you mind if I stay here with you while you work?”
➱ “Sure, you can keep me company.” A smile appeared on your face, it always did when Rotxo was around, he was the only friend that you found tolerable.
➱ When it was getting late and you had to head back, he’d walk you home and you would joke and laugh all the way there. The next morning, he'd been outside already waiting for you and you both would head down to what used to be just your spot and continue working on the gifts as Rotxo kept you company talking about anything that came to his mind.
➱ The day that you were finished the gifts had come and you grew nervous about finally giving them to your parents, Rotxo reassured you that they would love them and that you should make one for him as well, and that made you smile.
➱ You take a deep breath and put the gifts behind your back and walk into the Marui to find your father cleaning while your mother sat resting her feet. “Sa’nu? Sempu?” you say in a soft voice thinking they won’t hear you but in fact, they do and look in your direction. “Yes, yawntutsyip?” Tonowari smiled as he stopped what he was doing.
➱ “I’m ready to show you what I’ve been working on but first you both must close your eyes first.” They chuckle and close their eyes but before you can do anything, you notice peeking eyes. “Sempu, you’re peeking!” a giggle escaped your mouth. “Okay Okay, my eyes are completely closed.” he laughs, closing his eyes shut and you make your way over to them placing the gifts in their hands.
➱ “Okay, now you can open your eyes.” You watched as their eyes opened and looked down at their hands in awe when they saw the jewelry you made for them. “I wanted to show you how much I appreciated you for everything you’ve done for not only me but the clan as well.” You look up at your mom who had tears falling down her face. “I mean of course y’all don’t have to wear it, it probably sucks.” You looked down at the ground trying to avoid their faces but you were soon met with both of their arms around you.
➱ “Tonowari, how did we get so lucky with a beautiful talented little girl like you?” She smiles as she lightly pinches your cheeks making you giggle. “Irayo, my sweet girl, these are beautiful and we’ll always treasure them.” She brings you in for another hug as Tonowari smiles and puts the necklace around his neck. “Nothing that comes from you will ever suck,” he says as he joins the hug wrapping tightly around both you and your mother and this would be a moment that you all would remember.
➱ Okay so now let’s get into how they would react after getting the gift + someone commenting on it.
➸ Ronal
➱ The next morning she would get up and get ready to do her job as Tsahik, she smiles when she puts on your gift.
➱ She didn’t care if she was about to do a gruesome job, the constant reminder that her baby is with her wherever she goes makes her happy.
➱ She heads to the healing pod and there’s already someone injured waiting for her.
➱ She’d greet him and he'd do the same and when he finally notices the headpiece on her head, he thinks to himself what a weird thing to wear, and Ronal would notice his heavy stare. “Do you like it? It was made by someone special to me.” She would smile at him as he eyes it again and looks back at her. “It’s kind of weird don’t you think?” He chuckles a bit but goes silent when he sees the smile on Ronal’s face disappear.
➱ “If you don’t want to bleed to death, I suggest you be quiet.” she hisses and looks away from him to continue to prepare the medicinal paste leaving him to be terrified and wishing he kept his mouth shut.
➸ Tonowari
➱ The way he’d wear it with pride as he does his olo’eyktan duties, he’d even smile even harder if possible when he sees you playing with Rotxo.
➱ He’d end up bumping into an old friend of his and they would just stand and catch up when Tonowari made a joke, the friend would playfully punch him in his chest and that’s when he notices the necklace he was wearing, and laughs a bit. “Ronal’s not making A+ jewelry for you.” he laughs til he makes note of Tonowari’s stern face, glaring at him and boy if looks can kill the friend would have been dead right now and fed to an akula.
➱ The friend made a huge mistake, putting his two favorite girls in a joke that would never be funny to him.
➱ “My daughter made this beautiful necklace for me and you dare fun of it.” he steps closer as the friend steps back starting to regret his words. “I’m sorry, I didn’t-” Tonowari cuts him off with a hiss, the friend's ears lay flat on his head and his tail drooped in fear. “Leave! I don’t want to see your face ever again.” Tonowari closes his eyes and takes a deep breath as the now ex-friend quickly runs away from him. “The nerve of some people.” Tonowari rubs his hand over the necklace and a small smile comes on his face as he thinks of you.

“Y-y/n” Neteyam whispers through clenched teeth. His head thrown back in pure ecstasy. He couldn’t stop the jolts of electricity that twitched throughout his body, desperately chasing after his orgasm his mate deprived him of.
“Hm? What was that sweet boy?” Y/n asks, her hand slick with Neteyam’s precum. Her hand leisurely stroking his shaft. His cock stood up hard, his veins protruding along the girthy length in a desperate plea for a release.
“W-anna c-uhmmm” Neteyam’s words slur, his mind foggy with only one goal in mind.
His body jumps to the feeling of Y/n’s hand firmly grasping his cock, languidly thrusting her hand along his length. The sound of his cum against her hands sent another wave of pure pleasure down his spine. Neteyam’s ears twitched uncomfortably, he’s toes curling at the feeling of his orgasm drawling near.
“Oh c’mon now. Where are your manners?” Y/n tuts mockingly. Her hand slip past his pulsating cock. Leaving him bare. Neteyam whines out loud, his hips thrusting upwards, chasing after her hand that left him high and wet all over again. His hips jerk with vigour, feeling desperation flood his system.
“M’sorry. Plwase Y/n-“ Neteyam tries again, still unable to focus on what his mate was truly asking for. Y/n scoffs at his pathetic plea, she stands up causing Neteyam ears to fold back. Tears lips past his eyes in frustration. Frustration that he couldn’t achieve the orgasm he’s been trying to chase for the past hour.
Y/n steps towards him, lifting herself up to his lap. She gently situated herself on his lap being mindful to avoid his throbbing cock, that rested helplessly against her stomach. Her loincloth was soaked through, the smell of her arousal sending Neteyam into another frenzy. At this point he was convinced he would cum, untouched, just by simply smelling her essence.
“Try again my sweet boy, I know you can do it” Y/n purrs, she places her hand against his chest, pressing him firmly into the chair he sat upon. Thank Eywa she thought of tying his wrists onto the armrest. Preventing him from moving or taking control.
But Y/n had nothing to worry about, he was beyond his reasoning at his point. Willing to submit even if she untied them. Y/n feels Neteyam try to thrust his cock against her stomach, which was slick and covered with his precum.
He was desperate for some sort of friction. Aching for his release. He tries again, jerking his hips upwards once again.
Y/n growls threateningly under her breath, her teeth baring with a hiss. Neteyam whimpers at the sound. His eyes scrunching into a close at the sound that seems to vibrate through her, into him.
“Try again” Y/n says sternly, her thighs closing in on him, locking him in place. She purposely left his cock untouched as she tentatively reached up to caress her hands within his locks. Sweat pooling around his forehead dripping down his face and mixing in with his tears.
“Fuc-k Ma- Shi-“ Neteyam rambles, finding it harder and harder to form words. He squirms under her hold, feeling himself at wits’ end.
Neteyam eyes shoots open abruptly when he felt her delicate hands trail down his hair, gently grabbing onto his kuru. Neteyam’s gasps at the feeling, the most sensitive part of him being held by Y/n’s warm hands. Neteyam aggressively bucks his hips up into her, relishing in the few seconds his cock glided against her glistening stomach.
“Fuck- plEaAs!!” Neteyam cries out pitifully, Y/n bites her lips at the scene in front of her. Neteyam laying bare, his entire body covered in a sheen on sweat. His tears rolling down his cheeks as tiny gasps left his swollen lips. His eyes blown completely wide, unable to take the teasing any longer.
“Plea-ase M-mama, let me cummm” Neteyam tries one last time, using the tiny moment of clarity to his advantage. Finally being able to formulate the words he knew his mate wanted to hear.
Y/n’s ears twitch happily at the nickname. She inhaled her mates scent, feeling her own arousal cloud her thoughts. But that would have to wait. She was here to pleasure her mate first. After some teasing of course.
“That’s it baby, let mama take care of you” Y/n cooes lovingly. She leans her head towards his. Maintaining eye contact as she leans closer to him. Assuming she would pull him in for a kiss, Neteyam lifts his head to meet her half way.
Instead Y/n ducks her head, placing a chaste kiss on his neck. Neteyam gasps at the sudden movement choosing to keep himself still as he feels her tongue graze the flesh between his neck.
Her hands slide down from his kuru, down to his chest. She feels his heart rate beating erratically against his chest as his breath hitched, feeling Y/n’s wet tongue lap up the crevice of his neck. Loving the whimpers that left his lips Y/n traces her hands further down towards his hips stoping right above his cock.
It twitches excitedly, craving for her touch. A touch he knew would immediately bring him euphoria. He was that close. So close to cumming. Instead of providing him that pleasure, Y/n trails her hands behind him, firmly grasping his stiff tail.
“Ma-ma’!!” Neteyam moans out loud at the feeling, his eyes fluttering shut once again. Everything felt overwhelming to him. He saw white splotches evade his vision.
“Hm? Think you can cum sweet boy? Cum for mama?” Y/n whispers against his neck, biting down to leave a mark. Neteyam nods his head furiously, choking back a moan at the stinging sensation. Y/n takes the opportunity to stroke the stiff tail, feeling him pant wildly at the touch. Granted his kuru was sensitive, it was connected to his nervous system after all. But something about his tail, and something about feeling Y/n’s hands lowly stroking the length, made him feel whatever sane part of him, shatter into pieces.
“Yes, yes mama! Fuckkk-“ Neteyam sobs pathetically as Y/n pulls back. Admiring at the mark she left behind, but also at how he looked to be in complete bliss.
“Be a good boy, cum for me. Cum for mama” Y/n instructs, pulling the tail towards her face. She watches how Neteyam stares at her through hooded eyes, anticipating her next move. What happened next completely catches him off guard.
Y/n brings his tail to her mouth clasping it tightly. It was slick with his precum that remained on her hand from before. She sticks her tongue out, licking a strip of precum along his tail. The feeling alone sends him into overdrive.
“Ma- ‘m Cumm-ing!!!” Neteyam wheezes out, feeling the wind get knocked out of him. His eyes cross at the feeling, his body convulsing under the intensity of the orgasm. His body twitches before his eyes roll to the back of his head. His cock twitching wildly as streams of his cum stutter out, splattering against Y/n’s abdomen and chest. The creamy consistency even splattering against his body aswell.
Neteyam hips stutter, cum still leaking out of his cock. He felt like he was being milked dry, not quite registering the fact he came without being touched.
Y/n smirks triumphantly. Her sweet boy doing so well, listening to everything she had to say. She didn’t know he could cum like that, that he could come undone without even touching himself. Y/n gently takes the restraints off his wrists, hearing Neteyam mumble incoherently under his breath.
“Don’t pass out on me yawne. We have a long night ahead of us” Y/n purrs, swiftly removing her soaked loincloth, and tossing it aside. She smirks wide feeling Neteyam’s cock twitch against her abdomen at her words.

I love you too anon <3 thank you for the request!

Iknimaya
Tumblr media
You assume that Tonowari and Ronal have something going on, during the most important day of your life. Takes place far before ATWOW, as Tonowari, Reader, and Ronal are fairly young.
Word count: 2.3k
Genre: Angst, unrequited love (but not really), fluffy ending, no use of y/n
Tumblr media
Your head hurts a lot.
Not just because no one is listening to you, and you’re getting increasingly stressed- but because the amount of flowers, beading, and seashells woven into your hair must weigh an extra ten pounds.
It’s ridiculous. It’s nothing like your usual headdress, which is usually just a clip fashioned out of coral, pulling your hair back, and you want to tell Tonowari that this is pointless.
But he’s not listening, either. Tonowari is off to the side, speaking to Ronal with those big, unblinking blue eyes, listening with a enraptured look that’s pissing you off.
You know she is the new, freshly made Tsahik- she gets the right to speak on spiritual manners before anyone else does. But you want Tonowari to come back to where you’re standing, all alone, waiting for comfort.
Why doesn’t he look at me? You wonder. Doesn’t he care? I’m going through this all alone.
It’s the final phase in your Iknimaya- the coming-of-age ritual- and Tonowari has been by your side for every part of it. You’re a bit late to join the clan as an adult- your peers had already done so about a year ago- but Tonowari had always supported you, even when you felt like you couldn’t do it.
When you first bonded with your skimwing, Tonowari was there, cheering in the water, saying that he knew you could do it.
When you first met your Tulkun Sister, Tonowari was the one who calmly had his hand on your back, because you were nervous she was going to reject you.
Tonowari has always been the one to be there for you. His presence is a comforting one for you, but you know that this isn’t an exclusive feeling. Many people love Tonowari- they come to him for advice whenever it is possible. And you know that’s why he’s been chosen as a successor to the Olo’eytkan.
Still, it bothers you. You want to keep Tonowari all to yourself- even if you know that’s selfish. It’s not the way of the people, but still, you want him to be by your side.
Ronal says something that you can’t quite hear- and you watch as her piercing eyes glance and stare right into you- and you feel judged. You feel small, tiny, as Ronal sizes you up. She turns back to Tonowari and says something with a hint of a smile- and you feel utterly sick to see it.
What could be so funny about you? What is so amusing that Ronal and Tonowari would gossip like this? It’s especially unlike Tonowari to do so. He’s usually such a fair, happy person, one that actually cares about others’ wellbeings, and here he is, becoming closer and closer to Ronal.
They both have some sort of understanding, you can see, by the way that they look at each other. Tonowari squeezes Ronal’s hand- and your face burns with jealousy.
It makes sense, you think. Ronal is a resilient, prickly person, she knows what she means and says it, too. Tonowari is kind of the opposite- as kind-hearted as he is, he also is incredibly strong, and always willing to do the right thing. They both are matched in their sense of justice- and you feel a lump swell in your throat as you think about it.
They’re meant to be. Surely they will be mated, working alongside each other to lead the clan, and you will simply be to the side. It’s so obvious.
Tonowari looks back to you. His eyes are bright, and he has a hint of a smile on his face. But he’s surprised to see your eyes glint with tears, and you look away from him, towards the ground. Icing him out.
He tries his best to get your attention again, eyes searching your face, but you’re still turned away. You refuse to meet his eyes, and Tonowari feels his heart sink, as he wonders what he’s done wrong.
/
The Cove of the Ancestors feels cold today. It’s not a great omen for your ritual, and Ronal tells you as much.
You nod silently. You see her squint, and then look impressed, and you don’t know why. It’s not as if you’re purposefully being stoic, you just can’t find the words to say to her.
You’re standing in the most shallow part of the water, and Ronal steps around you, as the clan watches on.
“Today, you have made yourself a part of the people, forever.” Ronal touches your arms, your collarbones, and finally, your face. She grasps your cheeks, staring deep into your eyes, and you stare back, numb, trying not to feel afraid.
“You are one of us. You will breathe, know, and believe the way of water for as long as you live.” Ronal murmurs, before wrapping the customary garment around you. It’s a special shawl, beaded with beads that have been painstakingly made by hand, by the women of the clan. Everyone has such a shawl.
You pull it around yourself, feeling warmer. There’s some embroidery on the shawl, and it’s intricate- you wonder who did such a thing.
Ronal places three beads in your palm. You close your fist around it, knowing that it is the beads for your songcord, and watch as the Metkayina begin to sing around you.
You listen, feeling pride despite everything, that you have come so far. Their hands all gather to meet around you- a sea of arms, making branches not unlike a tree- and you are at the centre of it all.
You look up, finally, and see Tonowari staring at you. He looks… pleased. Happy. Perhaps you can have that, at least. The contentment of a friend is better than nothing.
Ronal pulls out a small knife. You stiffen- but you’re not truly afraid. She dips it into a shallow well of ink, made from different animals in the sea, and begins the process of tattooing. The song heightens as she creates intricate swirling patterns on your chin, and you bear it, bear the pain as the blade pierces your skin.
Everyone gently pushes you, as they walk, past the shallow pools, and into the water. You sink under, and there are hands cradling you as you do. You see the bright light of the Spirit Tree- and think about how lucky you are to be here. The tattoo’s pain seems to fade away.
Finally, you are pulled back up, after being baptised.
Ronal raises your arm to the clan, who cheer and raise you upwards.
/
After everyone has moved past this, you are exhausted. You want to go back to your home, and go to sleep, especially after knowing that Tonowari is not yours to have.
You don’t know why you ever let yourself think that in the first place.
It’s too bad, though. You’re about to go to sleep in your marui pod, and when you enter through the opening, who else is already there, sitting, waiting, as if he owns the place?
Tonowari.
“Hello.” Tonowari motions for you to come sit next to him, patting on a pillow, but you simply stand in place.
“Why are you here?” You mutter, pulling your shawl around yourself a little tighter.
“Why would I not be here?” Tonowari stands up, and comes towards you, but you take a step back. Hurt flashes across his face as you do.
You look up at him, trying your best to swallow your sadness, your fears and anger, trying to just be as supportive as he was for you.
“I don’t know. Aren’t there other things you need to do?” You stare up at him, and Tonowari looks down at you in confusion. He’s quite a bit taller than you, but he’s never felt imposing, or scary.
He wonders if that’s why you’re pushing him away.
“What could be more important than celebrating the best day of your life?” Tonowari responds softly, and you can’t look at him anymore.
Not when you feel that this has been the complete opposite. It doesn’t feel very momentous when you know Tonowari doesn’t care for you like that, not the way you care for him.
“Seriously. You don’t need to be here. Everything special is over, anyways.” You retort, but Tonowari shakes his head at that.
“I… I thought you would be more happy. That you have come so far.” He sounds serious, and you feel guilty for a moment, until remembering how he looked at Ronal.
“I am, I just… I need to be alone, Tonowari.” You try, but he shakes his head.
Outside, a thunder storm starts, and a downpour of rain begins. Water ripples in the distance, and a pleasant drumming has started over your marui pod.
“No.” Tonowari shakes his head, and you hate him for this, hate him for how perseverant he always has to be, always having to know what happens so he can fix it.
This is the one time he can’t.
“Tell me what’s wrong.” He insists, and you find yourself wanting to run- you start to move backwards, out onto the bridge, rain droplets hitting your hair. Tonowari moves forward quickly, and grasps your arm, pulling you inside before you can resist.
“You’ll get drenched if you’re out there. You’ll catch a cold.” He’s holding both of your arms, and you have nowhere else to go. You stare up at him- and he doesn’t look angry, just concerned.
“Stop… just stop doing that.” You whisper, and he shakes his head.
“Doing what?”
“Pretending that you care, Tonowari.” You finally hiss out, and his eyes widen. “I know you’re my friend- but you don’t really care about me, not in the way that I want you to. I… I don’t think I can keep being friends with you since that’s how it has to be, and I’m sorry.”
He tries to cut you off, but you keep going.
“I know it’s selfish. But it’s all I can really say.” You stare down at the ground, and Tonowari’s hands come up onto your shoulders, trying to comfort you. “I wish you and Ronal nothing but the best.”
Tonowari’s eyebrows furrow in confusion. “Ronal?”
“Yes.” You sigh with a deep sorrow that only makes him more upset that you didn’t bring this up sooner. “I know you like her. I saw how you two were looking at each other.”
Tonowari exhales, glad that this was all it was, an easily fixable misinterpretation of events that he could correct, and that he wasn’t really at risk of losing you- and he pulls you in for a tight, bone crushing hug.
You gasp. “Tonowari- let me go-!”
“No, skxawng.” His chest rumbles with deep laughter as you try to fight him, and he picks you up easily. “You should have told me.”
Tonowari walks with you in his grasp, and sits down, where he was before. He wraps his arms around your waist, holding you close to him. He doesn’t care that you’re angry at him- he’s happy that he can finally tell you the truth.
“Why? So you could’ve rubbed it in my face, even harder?” You glare upwards at him.
“Do you really think I would be holding you like this if I was to mate with Ronal?” He comments, just casually enough, and you remember where you are, and how close you are to him. You turn a deep purple- and Tonowari cackles at your expression.
“So?”
“So.” He places his forehead against yours. “I’m sorry you spent however long feeling like this. That was not my intention- and I hope you can forgive me.”
You open your mouth to say something, but Tonowari shushes you.
His hand comes upward to trace your jaw, mouth, and chin where your freshly made tattoo is still healing.
“I asked Ronal if it seemed appropriate to ask you to… to mate with me, because it would be so soon after you finished your Iknimaya.” He admits, and you gaze softens. “She said yes, because you seem so sure of yourself already- except for just now, I suppose.”
You find yourself smiling a little. Even giggling. How could you be so silly?
Not that it matters now, anyways.
“Will you? Would you be okay with being my mate?” Tonowari asks, and you hug him especially close, your face nuzzling into his neck.
“Of course I would, are you crazy? That’s what I was upset about.” You beam at him. “I’m only sorry that I was being such a skxawng.”
Tonowari grins. “So, did you like the shawl?”
“Huh?”
His hand traces the embroidery in your shawl. You feel your chest turn warm at his contact.
“I did this- not well, but I did this. My mother showed me how.” He tells you, and you are taken aback, that Tonowari did such a thing and you had been wearing it this whole time, not knowing how important it was. How special it is.
How could you ever assume that he did not care?
“It’s perfect.” You say honestly, holding it close. “I’ll treasure it forever.”
Tonowari’s eyes suddenly turn a little darker- his lids are half closed- and he leans in, pulling you in for a kiss, except he first kisses your forehead, and then your cheeks, and then he kisses your chin, where your tattoo is still burning a little.
His kiss makes it feel better, though.
He leans in and kisses you for real this time, his lips being soft, chastely plying at your own, before you kiss him back, and lean into his touch. His arms embrace you firmly, not letting you move away from him, and you wrap your arms around his neck.

All your earliest memories included Neteyam, there were very few that he wasn’t in, even the more recent ones. The two of you had pretty much been glued to the hip since birth. Two peas in a pod. You couldn’t fathom a life without him, and he couldn’t fathom a life without you.
One of the earliest memories you had was your fourth birthday. You and Neteyam were sitting together, grinning stupidly as your family (which only consisted of you, Neteyam, your parents, mo’at a baby Kiri and Lo’ak)  sung ‘happy birthday’ around you. Then when they’d finished, Mo’at scooped the two of you up, easily balancing the two of you in her arms and smothering you both in kisses. The ticklish sensation throwing both you and Neteyam into a fit of giggles, while Mo’at continued to pamper you.
“How big and strong my grandchildren are becoming!” she’d said, smiling at the two of you as she set you down. You remembered the matching wood carved charms she’d gifted you both that birthday; you’d clipped them onto your songcords, and then run off into the forest together, Neytiri following behind you both closely.
You grew extremely close over the years, almost never leaving the others side as you learnt the ins and outs of life together. You told each other everything, and you could still remember the first secret of yours you’d entrusted him with.
You’d run up to him grinning wildly, a few teeth of your missing like they would have been for a eight-year-old. You’d plopped down in front of him, whispering – or trying to – to him that you had a crush.
“But you can't to tell anyone!” you’d exclaimed immediately after the confession, looking at him very seriously. His eyes had widened, nodding in affirmation to his next statement.
“I won't,” he’d promised like it was the most important secret in the world. At the time it very well might have been, and to this day he hadn't told a soul.
You built the trust between the two of you through wordily affirmation and experiences until you could confidently say you trusted him with your life, and he intern trusted you with his. You knew, that if there was a need, you’d give your life for his without a second thought, although you hoped it would never come to that.
But sometimes people just aren't so lucky.
“Go!” You could barely hear his voice over the deafening berate of gunfire as he yelled the order. Bullets clattered against the metal of the ship as you pressed yourself into the wall. Lo’ak and Spider were quick to comply, running to the railing rimmed pool and diving into the water, but you stood firmly next to Neteyam. Two peas in a pod, you wouldn’t leave him behind.
He glanced over his shoulder as he ducked further behind the wall.
“What are you doing here? You need to go tsmuke!” you shook your head, stubbornly.
“I’m not leaving you!” you screamed over the gunfire. Neteyam grunted, shifting the gun in his hand. There was no use trying to convince you to go by yourself, that would just waste time. The one thing you didn’t have. Neteyam glanced down at the gun in his hand, there wasn’t enough ammunition in it to cover the both of you properly if you made a run for it separately anyway.
“Okay we go on my count,” you nodded, pushing yourself off the wall and getting ready to run.
“3,”
“2,”
“1.” Neteyam turned sharply, using the last of the ammo in the gun to fire in the direction of the Avatar shooting at you, before discarding it and bolting towards the pool.
You saw it in slow-motion as you looked back, the sound of gunfire amplifying tenfold and mixing with the ringing in your ears. Bullets whizzed past the two of you, and something in your gut told you he wasn’t going to make it in time. All you knew in that moment is there was no way in hell you were going to let anything happen to him.
Just as he jumped to dive over the railing, you reached out almost instinctively, pulling his body to the side so you were in front of him as you dove into the water side by side. You felt something collide with you, something small, and fast. You didn’t even have time to understand what had happened before red-hot pain, bloomed right above your breast.
Your scream of agony was muffled as your body hit the water and searing hot pain overtook your senses. It was blinding, only being amplified with every shift of your body as you pushed your body to the surface. Your brain scrambled to grasp reality, through the feeling of burning nerves and weight of water pushing you down.
“Neteyam!” you gasped, breaking to the surface and doing your best to stay afloat. One hand cupped your chest that was bleeding profusely, turning the water around you a deep shade of red.
He turned at the sound of your voice calling his name, and his heart dropped, eyes widening at the sight of hazy red water that surrounded your struggling form. He rushed to your side, eyes raking over you looking for the source of your bleeding until his eyes landed on your hand, right over your lung and panic overtook him.
No, no, no. This couldn’t be happening. He thought, he couldn’t lose you; he needed you.
As a child he would sometimes find himself imagining a life without his twin sister, he remembers the way his stomach would churn at the mere thought of it, and his mind would move on to happier thoughts. Those same nights dreams of losing you would haunt him. He would wake up with a thin sheen of sweat coating him, before his eyes would settle on your sleeping form and his heart would slow its raging pace. He’d lay down, shaking the contents of the dream away and drifting of to sleep again.
He hoped this was just another nightmare that his mind had cooked up to screw with him. He’d wake up and you’d be right there, sleeping soundly by Neytiri and Tuk across the Murui pod like you did every night. Your chest rising and falling steadily against the threaded sea grass top you’d made with Tsireya. No one came to wake him though, and no matter how hard he hoped his mind didn’t pull him out of his sleep, because there was nothing to wake up from.
“She’s shot! Help me!” He called to Lo’ak and Spider frantically, hoisting you onto the ilu. You hissed in pain as they moved you. Tsireya helped pull you up, holding you against her as you took shallow breaths.
You couldn’t really focus on anything as the ilu sped away from the Demon Ship, lost to your faint thoughts of death and slow mind.
Your body slid against the rocks, jagged edges scraping against your skin uncomfortably as they push you onto the sturdy surface. The waves crash against the rock, a sound that you would consider soothing if not for the circumstances. Your face is pale, breath shallow and rapid, your ears are ringing and your adrenaline is starting to fade. Everything is slippery, wet and somehow sticky and even now, when you're bleeding out and dying it makes you feel gross.
The soft breeze is chilling to your wet form, and the gentleness of it is unfitting for such a scene. Your head bumps against something as your set down, and you hear the screech of an Ikran infront of you, feel the rough wind its wings bring as it lands, and see its head peeking out into your field of vision. Then its gone, replaced by your father's face as he rushes over to you. Your eyes shift to Neteyam who sits next to you looking helpless, and you reach out to him, looking for his hand. He gives it to you, clasping your hand in his.
Your wound screamed as Jake moved you, curses falling from his lips before he set you back down on your back. You're struggling to breath, eyes unfocused as the dart to each member of your family, desperately trying to memorize their features before you go. The older sister in you notes that Kiri and Tuk are missing but you can't focus on the thought to much. You don’t have the energy.
“Why would you do that?” Neteyam whispered, and your barley hear his words. If you had the energy you would smile, squeeze his hand and tell him that you didn’t regret any of it, because you don’t. But you can't. So instead leave him without an answer and focus on your breath, focus on the pressure of Lo’aks hand over your wound, and the feeling of Neteyams hand in yours, focus on your mothers' eyes and your fathers worried expression. You can sort of Tsireya in the back, a frown on her lips, just like all the rest of them and you focus on that to.
You want to tell them it's going to be okay, that there's no need to worry, but you're not a lair, so you opt to something more truthful.
“I want to go home,” you whimper through grit teeth. Even your own words sound faraway now and you realize this was how you were going to die. But you didn’t to die, you had so much to live for, so much to experience. You had just begun to settle into life with the Metkayina, just begun to learn the ocean and the reef, just begun to make friends. You were only 15 years old; you had your whole life ahead of you, you didn’t want to die. You weren't ready. How was that fair?
“We’re going, we’re going,” Your father reassures. He sounds helpless, broken. You think he’s lying for a moment, but then they’re faces start to fade from your field of vision and you’re truly to weak to care. Only able to think about the fact that you aren't ready yet. That you don’t want to die, not like this.
The world fades, all sensations put to a halt and it's like a weight is lifted of your shoulders, despite your reluctance you can't help but feel relief. The heaving of your chest stops, and your nerves aren't burning with pain anymore, and there's no more crashing of waves, there's no bitter chill biting at your skin or sticky blood coating you.
There's only a blinding white behind your eyelids, accompanied by the chirping of birds, a sunny warmth that touches your skin and warms your soul as soft grass caresses your skin. You feel a deep sense of peace take root in your heart, and you don’t question it as your eyes flutter open to be met with the lush forests of Pandora and clear blue skies.
“Y/n! Y/n!” A childish voice calls to you. You turn at the sound of your name and rustling of leaves pushing yourself to sit up. Neteyam bursts through the underbrush, young and bright, and smiling like he always was. He’s waving at you to get up.
“Common!” he says urgently, “I wanna show you what I made!” And then he’s dashing off in the direction he came again, leaving you to run after him with a giddy smile.
 You were home again.

Summary: Anoung and his group starting make fun of you. Neteyam didn’t let that happen.
Note: he’s so cute istg.
There is a few things you don’t do when talking to someone taken. You don’t flirt with them, you don’t disrespect them, and you sure as hell don’t touch them, ever. Neteyam had responsibilities as the eldest child to not start problems in his families new home, or course all those responsibilities was on the tip of his head. Even the strongest slip. He watches you and his siblings from a far nearly everyday to ensure everyone’s safety and compliance to rules. The soon to be new chief didn’t respect the rules of a taken mate, An’oung often lacked the ability of respect though. Over the past few weeks Anoung was anything but respectful to his family, but stepping over the line was when he approached you. This was unforgivable. You were sitting on the shore looking at the shells under water in your own little world, not bothering anyone or anything. The taunting voices make you emerge from the water, not hearing what they said clearly, “huh? What’d you say?”. Anoung scoffs at you in a repulsive way, “are you some kind of freak?”. “He asked if you were a freak”, one of his friends chimes in, leaning in closer. Your ears drop similar to your head, “…no” you try to walk past the group but one of them grabs your wrist pulling you to face them. They all snicker at you and your distaste, “look at her little baby tail” one of them grabs your tail drawing a loud gasp from you. You smack his hand, hissing at him ultimately entertaining the group more. This encounter doesn’t go unnoticed by Lo’ak though, “Hey fish lips, hands off” he yells. Neteyam was walking with Lo’ak at the time and didn’t see what was happening until his little brother ran off randomly. Of course Neteyam followed after him at a light jog not understanding, and then fury ran through his body. That feeling of protectiveness that he’s tried to hold back the whole time his family was here, all falls out. He storms ahead of Lo’ak, he steps in-front of your pushing you behind him lightly. Neteyam wastes no time to push Anoung backwards roughly, hissing at him no words exchanged. Anoung puts both his hands up in surrender while also pushing his friend back behind him so he doesn’t start something. “Good choice”, Neteyam manages to grit out a the group before putting a hand on your back and guiding you away. Lo’ak trails a little ways behind letting you and your mate have a moment alone. Neteyam’s hand is softly resting on you back still hit his other hand is clenched in a tight fist and it’s obvious his jaw is locked. “I’m sorry Teyam”, you mumbled out feeling ashamed for no real reason. “Don’t. Just prattle on about something so I don’t turn around”, he says opening and closing his fist. “What?”, you respond in a small whisper. Neteyam has no reason to turn around, you thought he handled the situation pretty well. Neteyam wanted nothing more than to shove his fist into each and every one of their faces, in fact he craved to feel the crack of a broken nose just once. “Please just start talking about anything, just anything baby”. You can talk, if that’s all he’s asking you to do well you’ll do it. Just start talking about the sand or maybe the new necklace your working on. “Ok ok I can do that, I’m making a necklace for you. I was going to make a matching one for me so everyone knows your mine”. Neteyam hums feeling himself slowly uncoil and calm down just a little, “are you gonna weave something into them?”, he says wanting you to continue. How can someone be so beautiful while angry? How can he be so in control of his emotions even when he’s been through the most? “Yes maybe some stones or shells similar to each other” you say noticing his shoulders falling from relaxation just slightly. Your turn your body to face his completely bringing your hands to rest on his cheeks. You smile at him brightly your teeth poking out slightly making Neteyam return a soft look as well. Your thumb runs across his face soothingly, him instinctively moving towards that hand. “Thank you for protecting me teyam”, his eyes opening making contact with yours.
His hand moves to hold yours that is still resting on his face, “always”.

When your parents told you and your siblings that you were going to seek Uturu among the Metkayina, you were the only one that was excited to explore this new world.
Yes, you would miss the forest deeply since it's the only home you've known, but you wanted to know what Pandora had to offer besides the massive rainforest.
When you arrived at Awa'atlu, you couldn't believe that the whole clan had tattoos just like you. Back in the forest, you were the only na'vi to have such markings along your azure skin, thus to see a whole collection of na'vi with tattoos all over their bodies made you feel less of an outsider for once.
When Ao'nung first noticed the black markings that were intricately drawn on your back, he wondered why you had them when the other members of your family didn't.
However, your tattoos weren't the only thing that interested him...
The way you seem so connected with aquatic life, and your ability to successfully tame a Tsurak with barely any struggle or force. The way you just stepped into the water, and the Tsurak instantly succumbed to you baffled him. He's never seen anyone do anything like that before.
When he, Tsireya, and Rotxo first took you and your siblings swimming, you (and Kiri) were the only ones who didn't need to go up for air. You stayed underwater for almost the same duration as he could.
You’ve just started learning the way of water and you somehow have already perfected it.
Whenever he saw you walk around the village, carrying baskets full of either weaving materials or fruits you foraged from the jungle you always filled his ears with a beautiful hum of your favorite hometree song which always made him want to hear your true vocal abilities.
He was intrigued and interested in you, to say the least. You both have talked before, but both of you were always too caught up in presuming what the other person thought, so you both never confessed your feelings to each other yet.
You always wondered if his heart skipped a beat for you like yours did whenever you caught the slightest glimpse of him, or if he always felt nervous whenever talking to you. You wished you could know what he was thinking and how he truly felt.
Unbeknownst to you, you would get your answer sooner than you thought.
The sun has set and the darkness has been cast upon Awa'atlu. It was the middle of the night and the village was dead silent. Everyone was home sleeping peacefully, trying to rest up for the day to come except for Ao'nung.
He couldn't sleep, so he thought that taking a quiet walk along the beach would help his body relax and eventually grow drowsy.
As he felt the sand crunch in between his toes, all he could think about was you. He has been trying to gather up the courage to profess his love for you, but his nerves kept getting in the way and making him back out.
Upon beginning to get consumed by his thoughts, he heard a beautiful siren-like voice from a distance that made his ears perk up in suspicion.
Hearing the faint words, he began to recognize the song. It was the same song his mother sang whenever she grazed over the small shell totem on her songcord that contained a specific memory of her and his father.
The song Ao'nung recognized was a love song.
He began to follow the angelic tune, wanting to know who this incredible voice belonged to. As he walked to the end of the beach, the part that was extremely secluded, the voice became louder.
'I must be close.' He thought.
He bent one more corner and that's when he found the beholder of the voice.
You were dancing gracefully along the clear blue water, continuing to sing the love song that drew Ao'nung to you as if you were magnetic. As you glided along the water, multiple aquatic creatures began to swim around you, their bioluminescent glow making the water shine ever so beautifully.
He looked from behind the boulder. He was standing in the front, having a clear view of you dancing with a water-shaped figure.
'I wonder who that's supposed to be...' He continued observing you, wanting to know what was going to happen next.
As if you could read his mind, you turned to a different angle giving him a full view of the figure. At first, he couldn't interpret anything until he noticed the outline of a Metkayina physique, a curly braided bun, and the shape of what's supposed to be a talon necklace.
Once he put the full image together in his mind, his eyes widened. "Oh, my Eywa! That’s supposed to be me." He whispers in disbelief.
Ao'nung had so many questions at this point. How were you floating on water? Why were animals so attracted to you? And why were you dancing with a figurine of him?
You didn't even know Ao'nung was watching. You were so wrapped up in dancing and serenading the figurine Ao'nung you didn't even realize the real Ao'nung was standing right behind you.
"y/n!"
Hearing the voice you already knew who it belonged to which sent you into panic mode. Your voice became lodged in your throat, the figure dissolved into the water, the animals that were surrounding you swam away, and you... you were freaking out.
The panicky feeling spread through your body like wildfire. You couldn't believe Ao'nung saw you like this, in your true form. The one thing you didn't want him to see because you knew it would scare him off. And knowing that he saw you dancing with something that was a replica of him made you feel even more embarrassed.
The only thing you wanted to do was get yourself out of this awkward and embarrassing situation, therefore that's what you did. Your tattoos morphed into your set of wings and you began to flap them into the air, trying to gain enough wind to fly away to any place but here.
When Ao'nung saw your wings he was awestruck. He couldn't believe the sight before him. The small patterns of black that went along your see-through navy blue wings were a breathtaking sight in Ao'nung's eyes. With the way he gawked at you and your beauty, he didn't even realize you started flying away until he heard swooshes and felt big gusts of wind impacting his skin.
"y/n, wait! Don't go! I just wanted to talk!" He yelled out trying to get your attention, hoping you would come back, but it was too late. You were already searching for a place far from the village and him.
He couldn't just go back home as if he didn't see you, as if you didn't show your feelings for him right before his eyes, so he had to find you.
He went to the shore and called for his ilu. As soon as the ilu came to him, he immediately mounted it and began searching for you. He started by looking at the little nearby islands before going farther out.
He was determined to talk to you now more than ever. He was going to find you, even if he had to search all night.
To him, you were worth the manhunt.
After a while of flying, you found a small secluded spot. It was made of rocks and other items Eywa provided in nature. As you sat down on the rocky material all you could do was think about how your powers and abilities were outed and to make matters worse they were to Ao'nung.
The boy that filled your heart with warmth saw you with your guard down.
There were so many thoughts swarming around your mind you couldn't think about just one.
'What if he tells his parents?'
'Does he think I'm weird?'
'He's probably telling the whole clan what a freak I am.’
'If he did have feelings for me they've vanished now.’
As the waves crashed into the rocks and water splashed lightly against your skin, you distinguished a voice calling out for you.
Upon hearing your name, you turned around and made the figure of Ao'nung riding his ilu towards you.
'Why is he here?' You wondered as stood up while letting out your wings in an attempt to fly away again.
"Wait, y/n! I just want to talk to you please!" He pleaded, walking up to you in hope that you would stay and listen to him.
Seeing the genuineness in his features, you retracted your wings and slowly walked up to him. "What is it Ao'nung?" You asked in a defensive tone as you still didn't let all your guards down.
"I just- After you left I wanted to talk to you. You left so quickly that I didn't have a chance to say anything."
"Well, I already knew what you were going to say, so there wasn't any reason for me to stay."
"And what was it?" He asked in a curious tone, wondering what was going through your mind.
"That I'm weird for dancing across the water and having wings as if I'm an ikran. I know you probably think I'm a freak because of my powers."
As you rambled, everything you spoke was negative, nothing you said about yourself was good and Ao'nung heard enough of you talking bad about yourself.
"y/n, that isn't what I was going to say at all.'' He moved his feet across the rocks, trying to be as close to you as much as you would allow.
"You weren't?" You asked in a small voice, the defensiveness that was laced in your tone dropped and hope seeped its way into your heart as you began to wonder what he wanted to express.
Ao'nung shook his head in response. "No, not at all." He looked deep into your honey eyes, almost as if he was staring at your soul.
"So what were you going to say, then?" You asked while moving your gaze from his face to your feet. Making eye contact with him was nerve-racking. Each time you looked into his cerulean eyes, you got lost within them, as if they would cast a hypnotic spell on you.
Ao'nung gently placed his hand on your chin and lifted your head so you could look at him as he spoke. "I was going to tell you that you sounded amazing while you were singing and your powers, the ability to do the things you do are truly a gift from Eywa. I don't think you're a freak, weird or anything of that sort. I think you're kind, sweet, special, talented, and most importantly beautiful."
As his words fell upon your ears, you could feel your heart rapidly beating as if it would leap out of your chest at any given moment. 'Beautiful. He thinks I'm beautiful.' Yes, you did hear the other sweet things he said, but beautiful is what stuck out to you the most.
Him calling you beautiful only meant one thing: he had feelings for you.
A mauve tint began to appear on your cheeks as you felt the sensation of his large hand on your chin, lightly stroking your cheek every so often."Y-you think I'm beautiful?" You crocked out.
"I think you are the most gorgeous woman my eyes have ever witnessed..." Ao'nung was trying to figure out if this was the right time, the time to tell you how he truly felt. He was nervous about expressing his love for you, he doesn't open up to everyone, so to wear his heart on his sleeve with you would be a big deal for him.
'No better time than the present.' Ao'nung took a deep breath and began to spill out the thoughts that he's kept inside for a long time.
"I know you've only been living among my people for a few months, but my heart has grown for you. From the first moment I saw you, I wanted you, but I was too scared to say anything. However now, I want to shout from the highest hilltop that... I love you. y/n I'm in love with you and I want to be yours if you'll allow me." He ended his confession with an affectionate smile, moving his hand from your face to the nape of your neck which sent a shiver down your spine.
You couldn't believe it. You've been wanting to hear this from Ao'nung for months and you had the exact response you wanted to give planned out in your head. But now, actually being in the moment you didn't know what to say. Your head was jumbled with a million different responses you could say, but each time you pried your lips open, no words could come out.
Ao'nung watched the way your lips would quiver each time you tried to say a new phrase, but no words were spoken. He honestly thought it was cute to see you flustered like this.
"Talk to me, syulang. Tell me what's going through that pretty little head of yours."
By him saying that, the blush spread across your face only intensified and you finally found the words you wanted to say. "I would love nothing more than you becoming mine."
You saying that sent Ao'nung into a state of bliss. His smile got wider, the tension he felt vanished, and his tail began to thump against the rocks below him. You've officially made him feel like he was the luckiest man alive, knowing that you felt the same, that you wanted him to be your boyfriend made him feel complete.
A chuckle erupted from your throat as you watched Ao'nung’s eyes go back and forth from your lush lips to your golden eyes. "You know if you wanted to kiss me you could've just said that, you don't have to keep eyeing me like I'm a piece of meat."
Hearing you playfully tease him only made a smirk curl onto his lips. "Mmmm, well, I guess I should go for it then."
"I think you should." You challenged
Without having to utter another word, Ao'nung began to lean in towards you. His lips became just centimeters apart from yours which made a tingling sensation run through your body. Ao'nung flickered his eyes at you one last time before closing them completely and pressing his lips against yours.
The softness of his teal lips against yours made your lungs clench. The way his large hands traveled slowly down your body, caressing every inch of your skin made your stomach tingle with pleasure. Kissing him made you feel like Eywa herself graced you with her presence, the way Ao’nung made you feel was unimaginable.
The kiss lasted merely a few minutes but it felt like you could've explored his lips forever and never grow tired. As both of you pulled apart you could feel his touch lingering against you, his warm breath gliding over your lips made your skin prickle.
“I love you, Ao’nung.” You whispered as you placed your hand on his cheek while looking up at him with tender eyes that swirled with endearment.
“I love you too, y/n, so much.”
For the rest of the night, both of you sat down on the rock and cuddled, talking about anything and everything that came into your minds while sharing a few kisses here and there in between, lips attracted like a magnet.
With your head laid on his chest and your arm wrapped around his torso you felt like nothing could ruin this beautiful moment between the both of you. After all, you both waited for this moment for a long time and literally nothing could come between you or tear you apart, at least for the night being.
Right now being together was the only thing that mattered.
The more you two talked, Ao’nung realized that he hasn’t asked you the burning question he’s been wanting to know since he found you floating across the water. “y/n?” He whispered gently, not wanting to startle you in your peaceful state.
“Yes, Ao’nung?”
“I have a question…” He said as he began to sit up slowly, wanting to look at you fully while he talked.
“Okay, ask away.” You looked at him, deep inside knowing all about his wonders. It’s not like you were oblivious to the whirrs churning in his head all night.
“How did you get your powers?” And there comes the awaited question.

Tw: religious themes, purity culture, death of parent, Jake nearly having a heart attack, mentions of weddings.
A/N: I'm not familiar with purity rings, but I've never seen the point of them, I always thought they were weird, but that's just my opinion. I Hope this was to your liking.

Not that long ago you had been living with your dad, since your mom's passing he was the only family you had left. Not only him, but you also had siblings from his marriage. You were already caring towards your younger siblings, they were just the sweetest kids you've met. Your step mom wasn't so thrilled about you living with them since you're a human, but you're your dad's first daughter, so she understands.
You never forgot to wear your purity ring, your mother would flip out when she didn't see the small silver band on your ring finger, she always assumed that you must have lost your purity, but you'd tell her that you just forgot it and she'd calm down. Then you got a scolding for forgetting to wear it, sometimes you just wanted to irk her and tell her that yes, you had lost your purity when you didn't. Since you were living in a different planet with a different religion, you stopped wearing the ring. You didn't see the point in wearing it, besides you were a grown adult that knew what you were doing.
Tumblr media
You and Lo'ak had been in the hut with Jake who had been carving somehing for his gun, Lo'ak was showing you how to make a basket with leaves, it was hard, but fun. As you continued on your work, Lo'ak couldn't help but ask. "Hey y/n?" he got your attention. "What is it Lo'ak?" you replied back looking back at him. "What even is a purity ring?" he asked, you looked down at your hand where normally your ring would be in.
"Oh, it's so like, I don't know to show that I'm pure in both body and spirit? My mom would have me wear, if I didn't she'd freak out." You mentioned, while continued to work on your basket. Lo'ak seemed to understand in a way. "So like, in a way, everyone knows that you're not mated yet?" he asked, you just nodded. "Yeah, it's weird, I never got the point of it, some kind of religious thing you could say." You noted.
Lo'ak nodded, then looked at your hand. "Where is it?" he asked, this made Jake's ears twitch to your direction. "Where's what?" you asked, then Lo'ak pointed at your hand. "Your ring" he said, now you understood, but before you could respond. You saw how your dad had got to you and got a hold of your hand to examine it. "Where is your ring?" he asked, but he didn't let you speak. He placed both hands on your shoulder and looked right through your soul.
"Who has taken your purity? Who do I have to kill y/n? please tell me! Who has corrupted your mind babygirl!" he was freaking out. You and Lo'ak looked at each other, awkwardly. Then burst into laughter. "This isn't funny y/n! Who am I going to marry you too!" Jake whined, he was acting like your mother. "Dad! Calm down, I just stopped wearing it" you blurted out while you laughed with Lo'ak. Then Jake stopped. "Why?" he asked, making you giggle. "Because, I'm an adult, I know what I am doing, don't worry, you won't be hearing any wedding bells any times soon." You said while laughing
Jake sigh and gave you a small hug. "That's good, don't scare me like that again babygirl." He said calmly, while Lo'ak was still laughing at his father. "Stop laughing boy!" Jake whined at his youngest son who still couldn't stop laughing.

𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐅𝐄𝐂𝐓 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆 | sully siblings x yautja!hybrid reader (platonic)
Tumblr media
so sorry this took so long to out out, pls forgive me for these names, I was contemplating whether to js do b/n1 (brother name 1) and b/n2 ╥﹏╥
also, all info on yautja is from google, so pls forgive any inaccuracy
request used: " The Sully kids are in danger and running by a Thanator and by luck a yautja human hybrid reader (still wearing the mask and sutch) sees the Thanator as a worthy hunt and attack it" @kitty-chan33
word count: 832
warnings: ooc, description of violence, use of y/n, gn reader (no female descriptions)
dictionary: nìwin - hurry | olo'eyktan - clan leader | kä tsatseng - go there
"nìwin!" kiri desperately shouted, trying her hardest to scramble away from the thanator trying to kill her and her siblings. what should've been a typical day of exploring the wilderness of pandora had quickly turned into a race for survival. today was a special day, where all of the sully siblings had nothing to do; with their father being olo'eyktan  this was an extremely uncommon occurrence.
"kä tsatseng! we can't outrun it for much longer!" neteyam pointed to a fallen tree trunk; the inside was wide enough for them to fit in yet thick enough to be used as shelter. neteyam anxiously crouched by the opening to the tree trunk and waited for his siblings to crawl in.
---------------------------------------------
"y/n, if your mask isn't on in the next 3 seconds..." your father started, his threatening tone seeping through his teeth.
"yeah, seeing your face makes me feel ill," your eldest half-brother, Kyro, teased. you playfully scoffed and picked up a small stone, swiftly throwing it at the back of his head.
your father groaned, turning to his second oldest child, Milo, "please, control your siblings.."
"..mhm," Milo half-heartedly replied, focusing on polishing his wrist blades. the four of you were far ahead of the rest of the hunting party; though you and your elder brothers were 'half-breeds', you didn't let your human characteristics stop you. while being 6 feet tall made you & your brothers the smallest in the pack, it also made you the most agile. you could fit into small(er) places and ambush your opponent, making you and your brothers some of the most honourable hunters.
the roar of a wild animal caused the 4 of you to stop abruptly.  "i'll get this one!" you chirped, quickly skipping towards your new challenge.
"what!? but you got the last one!" Kyro groaned, frustrated. Milo sighed and rested his elbow on Kyro's shoulder, watching you disappear into the wilderness.
---------------------------------------------
you slowed down and scanned the area for your prey. your eyes locked onto an adult thanator growling fiercely and clawing at a fallen tree trunk.
'10 feet tall, six long legs and hundreds of sharp teeth...' you analysed the creature, inching closer towards the beast. '..finally, a worthy opponent'. you ran your tongue against your fangs and adjusted your mask before allowing the cloak to conceal your existence. you punched the thanator firmly in the jaw, and it immediately jumped away, frantically looking around for danger.
"...w-what just happened?" lo'ak whispered, looking through one of the many holes the thanator had made in the wood.
"i...i have no idea," neteyam breathed out, his eyes wide open in shock.
the soft gold rays of the setting sun had slightly exposed the outline of your figure, and your opponent ferociously foamed at the mouth, its claws digging deep into the rich soil of pandora. the thanator let out a vicious snarl before attempting to pounce on you. you swiftly dodged and used your leg to kick it harshly in the back.
the sully siblings were frozen in fear as they watched the thanator be brutally beaten by what seemed like...air?  as the fight continued, you allowed the cloak to wear off, revealing your human physique. but you were in no danger, as by then, the thanator was already on the brink of death, too weak to even let out a sound. lo'ak cringed as he watched you deliver the final blow, a powerful punch that sent the thanator's body into a distant tree trunk.
"what a shame, it wasn't as strong as i thought," you whined, removing your mask and fixing your hair. you turned to the fallen tree trunk and said, "you know you guys can come out now."
tuk let out a gasp as you exposed their hiding place, oblivious to the fact you had noticed them after the first punch. neteyam was the first to crawl out, one hand placed on the shaft of his dagger while the other held tightly onto tuk's wrist. lo'ak and kiri soon followed suit, standing closely behind their eldest sibling.
"don't worry, I'm not gonna hurt you," you chuckled, eyeing the dagger on neteyam's waist.
"..thank you for saving us," kiri thanked, stepping out in front of her siblings and lowering her head slightly in respect.
"yeah..you saved our lives out there," lo'ak scratched behind his neck awkwardly, looking at the floor.
"no worries, i was looking for a fight anyway," you reassured. "I'm guessing you are all siblings?"
"yeah, our last name is sully," neteyam confirmed, reluctantly removing his hand from the handle of his dagger.
"y/n! we're heading back now! hurry up!" you heard Milo call from somewhere in the forest.
"well, i guess I'll see you sullys around," you flashed a grin and waved goodbye to four siblings before heading back towards your family.
"wait! we...uh, didn't catch your name?" lo'ak called out, slightly tilting his head.
"call me y/n!" you shouted in reply,
"...see you later, y/n!" tuk cheered, waving both her arms while smiling widely
you smiled softly, secretly hoping you'd come across the sully siblings again.

Jealousy Can Be a Wild Thing
Tumblr media
Summary: Seeing her with him, smiling in a way she had never smiled at him? Something hot flashed within his chest. Hot and wild and angry. (Tonowari/Ronal)
Story Tags: Metkayina | Reef People Clan, Na’vi Language, Pre Way of Water, Established Relationship, Jealousy, Murderous Ideation, Arguments, Making Up, Making Out, Tonowari is a Simp
Author’s Note: So, this story was requested by @ana-maria456913 on Tumblr and it is my first official non-smutty story for our Pandoran kitty people. Woo! I have another standalone WIP as well as a couple of fics for the upcoming Valentine event (14 Days of Love) so until then, I hope you enjoy.
Na’vi Translation: ● Akula – a carnivorous fish that roams the reefs of the Eastern Sea and bears a striking resemblance to the terran great white shark or the extinct Megalodon ● Marui – pods built in the giant mangrove-like trees alongside the shores and are protected from crashing waves by giant reef barriers ● Muntxatan – husband | male spouse ● Oel ngati kameie – “I see you” (spiritually (joyful feeling) ) ● Olo’eyktan – clan leader (generally gender-neutral) ● Paywll – (meaning “water plant” | Aloeparilus succulentus – meaning “aloe-like”) is an unusual plant that stores water in its tissues; the leaves on top have a genetic substance inside that has healing properties when applied to skin ● Skxawng – moron | idiot ● Tsahìk – a spiritual leader of a Na’vi clan, and the most important member next to the clan leader. The job of the Tsahìk is to interpret the will of Eywa, guide the clan spiritually, and perform important ceremonies ● Tsakarem – a Tsahìk–in–training chosen to spend their life learning how to listen for signs from Eywa and perform ceremonies for the clan, often time the daughter of the current Tsahìk and mated to the clan leader when she comes of age, though not always ● Vonvä’ – butthole | asshole | dickhead (!highly abusive and vulgar!) ● Yawntu – loved one | lover | beloved person

Tonowari was feeling the exuberance his father had always told him about, growing up with sensationally heroic stories of all of the great feats by all of the Metkayina Na’vi of all. He was still riding the high of a streak of good things coming his way. First, his beloved had accepted his courting gift a fortnight ago, Ronal silently praising him with the way her blue eyes lit up with every bite she took of the of the meal he had prepared for her and her family. Second, the young Na’vi male had passed his final warrior’s rite a week ago and the current Tsahìk – his father’s younger sister – had tattooed his shoulder, part of his clavicle and one of his upper biceps three night ago, which were healing up quite nicely. And this morning when Tonowari and his friends had gone out to assist the fishermen, he had caught the most, much to everyone’s delights. Especially with representatives coming from the Ta’unui village supposed to be arriving today for his cousin’s upcoming wedding ceremony.
Walking up the beach, Tonowari eagerly headed for his aunt’s marui to see if his beloved could take a break with him. A flare of warmth pooled within as he thought of bringing Ronal into a private corps of mangrove roots and to spend some time sipping on her lips. And if she was not in the same amorous mood as he, just having her in his arms and basking in her scent and warmth.
Because she had agreed to be his.
That thought alone made his smile wider and move quicker, intent on basking in his beloved’s presence.
“Oel ngati kameie, Ma’tsahìk,” Tonowari called cheerfully, entering the marui where his father’s sister was lighting a roll of herbs for the smoke; he thought she called it incense but he wasn’t entirely sure. He just knew the smoke smelled pleasant… usually. His blue eyes scanned the rest of the pod but the one he was actually looking for seemed to be missing. His ears dropped and he looked questioningly towards his smiling aunt.
The Tsahìk sniggered at him, replying, “I sent Ronal to replace our stock of paywll. You should find her on the western border of the island.”
Tonowari’s smile returned instantaneously and he thanked his father’s younger sister and turned to go find his beloved.
Moving through the village over the bouncy walkway, the young Na’vi male noticed that some of the envoys of the Ta’unui village had arrived while he had been with his friends this morning, their tattoos and clothing styles slightly different from what he was used to. He grinned to himself, turning his gaze forward and even more eager to find the missing Tsakarem so that they could meet their neighboring representatives together. Leaving the village, the woven walkway turned into soft sand which turned into soft earth and lush grass as he searched for his beloved impatiently. And find her he did, with an unknown male. A tall, broad-shouldered male with one of his shoulders and part of his face and neck tattooed in a dark, swirling pattern. His hair was also shaved on either side of his head with the dark locks on top braided back into a loose ponytail, his neural queue hanging over his uninked shoulder. It also didn’t help that the unknown Na’vi’s loincloth was smaller in size and hung tantalizingly low upon his chiseled hips. And Ronal, his sweet, beautiful Ronal was appearing practically jovial with this handsome unknown Na’vi male as the two of them plucked paywll leaves and chatted amongst themselves.
Seeing her with him, smiling in a way she had never smiled at him? Something hot flashed within his chest.
Hot and wild and angry.
His smile wiping away, Tonowari wanted to drive his fist into this unknown male’s face and the center mast of his stupidly muscled body. He wanted to shove his dagger into that tattooed chest over and over. He wanted to drag the unknown Na’vi under the water and leave him at the bottom of the ocean or to maybe even leave a cut or two upon his skin for an akula to scent and then to feed upon.
Then Ronal turned and spotted him, her smile softening in brightness and intensity as her blue eyes met his. She lifted her arm and beckoned him towards her. “Ah, Wari,” the Tsakarem greeted him before looking up at her companion, her smile widening once more. “This is Kxawun Te Atxzìtx Tsyrun’iyan. Kxawun, this is—”
“I’m her intended muntxatan and the Metkayina Olo’eyktan’s nephew ,” Tonowari found himself snarling as he crossed the distance to his beloved’s side and possessively tucking his arm around her waist.
Ronal’s face fell while the foreign Na’vi male’s grin turned forced.
Tonowari grit his teeth and pulled his beloved closer into his body, sizing up the other male through narrowed blue eyes.
The Tsakarem scoffed and turned towards Kxawun and murmured softly, “Perhaps you could give us a moment, please, Kxawun? I will see you later.” She handed him her basket full of paywll leaves and turned a scowl on her partner before turning sharply and stomping further away from the village, negative emotions radiating out of her now that it was just the two of them, what with the Ta’unui Na’vi heading back towards Awa’atlu. Tonowari followed after her and before he could speak, she sneered viciously, “How could you embarrass me like that?! I thought you were not an arrogant vonvä’! That was why I accepted your courting gift! After that?! I am rethinking my decision!” Taken aback by her use of utterly insulting and foul language, his jaw slackened and he blinked at her in surprise before the rest of her words sank into his mind and registered their meanings.
“No! Ronal… Yawntu… please, do not say such things,” he begged.
She hissed at him, her ears flicking back in her rage. “Then explain yourself, Tonowari! What? Was? That?!”
The anger of the unknown male having all of her attention flashed through him once more and he growled in response, “He was all over you, yawntu! You must know he was flirting with you with the way he was trying his hardest to make you smile and laugh! Even I cannot seem to do that with you and I have known you for years, Ronal. I ask your forgiveness but I felt threatened by his display when I finally have you to myself as I have loved you for many years!”
It was her turn to stare at him with a slackened jaw and a couple of blinks before she exploded once more.
“I can’t believe you! YOU ABSOLUTE SKXAWNG!” Ronal shouted at him, causing him to flinch at her burning wrath. “Kxawun Te Atxzìtx Tsyrun’iyan is my childhood friend who moved to the Ta’unui clan when we were all still children and is now mated to a male! A male, you skxawng! If anyone should be worried about him being interested in one of us, it should be me because I chose you, Tonowari because I love you!” She scoffed once more and stomped even further down the beach.
He… was… a moron. Tonowari swallowed, feeling like a complete and utter idiot and wishing briefly that the earth or maybe the sea would swallow him up for being such an incompetent dolt but apparently, he wouldn’t have to fight for his beloved’s attention. Well, maybe he would have to struggle for her attention for a little bit while her friend was present for the upcoming wedding ceremony, but in the end, he wouldn’t have to worry about her attention straying. And the fact of the matter… she had told him she loved him back. She loved him. Ronal loved him. Tonowari felt all of his rage melt away and be replaced with even more of the enthusiasm and energy than he had been feeling earlier that day. He rushed forward, toes digging into the grassy earth and propelling himself forward so he could catch his beloved’s wrist and forcibly swing her around and pull her possessively into his arms, despite her shriek of surprised outrage at being manhandled until he silenced her with a heated kiss. “I’m a skxawng,” he muttered between smooches. “I was jealous.” Another kiss. “I was thoughtless.” Smooch, smooch, smooch. “And I do not deserve you.” After another round of kisses, he added, “I will happily spend the rest of my life making up for the embarrassment of that moment and I will do better from here on out.” Ronal hummed; a considering look upon her features. She decided, “You will make dinner for Kxawun and you will ask him for forgiveness.” Although that stung his pride a bit, Tonowari nodded. For her, he would do anything. “As you wish, yawntu,” he agreed, silently promising himself he would not allow his jealousy to rule him ever again.

Hi can I request a Neteyam imagine with his female omaticaya mate who has been very busy lately and he just wants attention and affection from her so one day he asks her early in the morning if she wants to go fly to their special spot which she agrees to with some reluctancy. He enjoys seeing the smile on her face and when the arrive at their spot they wonder around the forest for a bit holding each others hand before he pulls her close to him from behind resting his chin on her shoulder enjoying the much needed contact before they both decide to cuddle on the ground with his face buried in her neck and him listening to her heart beat and she eventually asks him what has bought all this on and he blushes and becomes a bit shy before saying that he has just missed her a lot or something like that? Thank you 😊
I Missed You.

I couldn't be happier to be flying back home from a hunting trip. The first thing I wanted to do was see her face in the crowd, run over to her, bring her into my arms, smell her scent, and fly to our secret spot nobody knew of.
I land my ikran and quickly dismount giving my ikran a rub before turning to the crowd and scanning through their faces. My smile fades when I don’t see her and worry starts to set in my mind. What if she is hurt or what if she is sick?
I immediately take off to run toward the hut that we moved into after we mated. As I run, I smell a familiar scent that’s been on the top of my mind since I left and stop and run back a few til I finally spot her talking to one of the girls in the clan. I smile at the sight of her and make my way over to her.
Once I reach her, I place my hands on her waist pulling her into me, already burying my face into her neck taking in that sweet scent of hers. I didn’t acknowledge who she was talking to but all my focus was on her and her only. “There’s my beautiful wife.”
“Ma Teyam, you’re back.” She says as she places her hand on my cheek rubbing it softly. “I’m sorry, I wasn’t able to meet you, just been so busy with tsahik training that I forgot.” She pouts as I turn her to face me and bring her eyes to mine. “No worry, we’re together now.” I see that smile that’s been etched into my mind appear on her face.
I look down at her lips and back up to her eyes. I pulled her closer to me, eyeing her lips once more as she leaned forward before our lips could touch.
“Y/n!” Someone cried out, she immediately separated herself from me. I sigh as I look at who got her attention, I was shocked to see my little sister running up to us.
“Tuk what’s wrong?” She walks over to meet my little sister. “It’s Lo’ak, he’s hurt and needs your help.” Tuk grabs her hand and starts running in the direction Lo’ak is in while she glances at me with a quick look saying that she’s sorry and I just flash a smile.
“Fucking Lo’ak!” I hissed when she was out of range. “I’m going to kill him.”
I take a deep breath and think to myself. “It’s alright, we will have plenty of time to spend together.” Oh, how I was so wrong.
Two weeks passed and I still couldn’t spend time with the one person I had on my mind. And why? Because every time we get together not two seconds later someone is already pulling her away from me. With Lo’ak being him, not thinking before he does something, she has to tend to his wounds, if it wasn’t him it was my sister who needed her to help with something. Or it’s one of the people needing her help or the kids wanting her attention which frustrated me to no end.
Now I’m not mad at her trying to learn how to be a good tsahik or her interacting with the people, I just missed everything about her. Her skin, voice, eyes, hair, and scent. Oh, how I miss her scent.
The only time I get her to myself is when we go to sleep and even that is not even enough cause by morning she is already up and leaving to tend to everyone who needs help. Is this how it will be for the rest of our lives?
No, I got to do something cause not being able to be around her is killing every bone in my body. I need a plan and fast, if I want successful results I need to do this right. Which means I need to find some rope.
I made sure to wake up early and see that she was getting ready. I grin as my plan was already going in a good direction. She turns to look at me and smiles, “Nete, you’re awake.” I get up and make my way over to her, my hands already finding their way to her waist as I pull her into me hearing her chuckle, I missed hearing the cute sounds she makes.
“How about we go to our special spot?” I look down at her beautiful eyes that are staring into mine. “Nete, you know I have stuff to-“ I kiss her forehead as I lay a finger on her lips. “Baby, you have nothing to worry about, today it’s all about us and only us.” I put my forehead against hers. “The people will be alright, trust me.” she takes a deep breath and smiles, “Alright let’s go, right after you get ready.” I giggled and immediately goes to get myself ready.
As soon as we land our ikrans somewhere close to our special spot, I look over to her and she looks back with a huge smile on her face, a smile I’d do anything for. A smile that made me fall in love with her in the first place. I dismount my ikran and make my way over to her, taking her hand into mine enjoying how soft her hand is against mine.
We make our way to our spot not once taking apart our hands. Always glanced at each other with a smile and it felt like old times when we would just stare at each other for hours not even saying a word and we didn’t have to cause it was just us in our little world.
Before we reached our spot we wandered the forest for a bit still holding hands, still smiling like we were seventeen again, moments like these with her are what I live for.
When we reach our spot, she was in front taking in the perfect view it had while still holding her hand I rub the back of it softly and pull her close to me, and a giggle released from her mouth as I rest my chin on her shoulder and close my eyes. I hold her tightly as I thought if I let go just a bit she’d disappear. She leans her against mine and my hands travel to her stomach, one of my finger drawing circles, a thing I know she liked but could never admit.
We stayed like that before finally moving to the ground where we cuddled into each other. Her hand is in my hair gently massaging my scalp as my face is buried in her neck listening to her heartbeat that was like music to my ears, and the reason I live. My hand was on her stomach and her leg was on top of mine.
“Ma Nete?” she says softly. “Hmm?” I purred not moving an inch. “What brought this on?” I look up at her meeting her eyes. “I just missed you, tiyawn.” she smiles. “I missed you too, Nete.” I smile up at her, and slowly I reach up to her and kiss her soft lips, finally, we caught a break.
“Nga yawne lu oer, ma y/n”
“Nga yawne lu oer, ma Nete.”
Bonus
Jake walks into the hut looking for his wife to tell her how smooth today went for him but he only found Lo’ak tied up with a piece of tape on his mouth moving around frantically trying to escape. Jake runs over to his youngest son and takes off the tape slowly and safely to not hurt Lo’ak. “Boy, what happened?” Jake says as he goes to untie the rope on his hands, whoever did this, tied the knots tight.
“How about you ask Neteyam!” Lo’ak yelled. “I was just minding my own business when that skxawng came running and attacked me!”
“I’ll talk to him,” Jake says but couldn’t help but think of why he never thought of this idea. He will of course scold Neteyam but also thank him since Lo’ak was one less thing to worry about today. He needed the break.

Could I request a neytiri x fem reader from the first movie?? The reader is falling in love with her a similar way as jake. Maybe she doesn’t allow them to destroy the tree? That would be so great!!! I just love your writing!!! <3333 Thank you!!

A liar.
That’s what you were. There was nothing about the past three months that hadn't been a lie, and this was by far the cruelest one you’d ever told, because this lie would destroy everything The People had ever known. They’d been rightfully skeptical about you, shunning you and casting you glares for the first few weeks, but as your lessons progressed, they’d warmed up to you and slowly you’d gained their trust. Just like you’d been sent to do. Well not all of them, mostly the children, but most of the older Omitikaya still resented you.
Neytiri had been the former, warming up to as you learned, and you wished she hadn't. Now you wished so badly that she’d never began to trust you. Maybe then it would save her the betrayal.
The People didn’t deserve this – Neytiri didn’t deserve this.
You deserved to be beaten until you were bloody and bruised for the façade, you’d put on for all these weeks, not smiled down upon by an angel such as herself as she led you through the most beautiful of places on Pandora. Your heart was heavy with guilt as you watched her in front of you, the knowledge of the evils you were about to bring upon her and her people burning it.
Neytiri was bright, she was brilliant and beautiful. She loved her people dearly, they were family, her fortress. She loved the animals and the forest, she had a deep bond with Eywa, and her love for the Great Mother only seemed to grow by the day. She was adventurous, basking in the thrill of a close call just like you. She was empathetic and caring. She was skilled with a bow, being able to shoot an arrow like no other, and she was proud. So very proud, and you could only predict that it would get her into trouble one day. The thought made you laugh a bit. She didn’t like the thought of being bound by responsibility, simply wanting to live her youth. She was everything you could've have asked for and more.
She deserved the world.
But you couldn’t give it to her. Only destroy it.
You supposed not everything was a lie. At least not anymore. Your love for the forest wasn’t. Neytiri had grown and nurtured it, showing you every beautiful detail in the endless landscape of vines and trees that were home to amazing species of animals, decorated in bright colors and stripes. There was nothing that she had missed to teach you about when it came to the forest and her people. She would go on and on about networks of energy that flowed through every living thing. She spoke about the value of every life, no matter how small or large, sophisticated or crude. At first, you’d discarded her words, nodded absent mindedly and internally scuffed at their teachings. Day after day she spoke of it though, and slowly you began to see the forest through her eyes. Slowly you understood.
You understood the way the Na’vi lived was beautiful, something that you’d never realized you’d earned for until you’d come here. You admired the lack of industrialization and the simplicity of their way of life. The harmony they lived in with the animals, the value they placed on life – something that had somehow slipped from the hands of humanity. There was nothing savage about these people, quite the opposite in fact. They were honest and kind. They viewed each other not as simply neighbors, but as family. The only crime they had ever committed was not allowing humanity to walk over them.
Neytiri had opened your eyes, taught you how to see. Now you’d pay her back with the blood of her people and the sting of betrayal.
Much like the forest and Pandora, every little thing about her had become beautiful to you. The sparkles in her eyes as she spoke about something that excited her and the way her voice rose a pitch higher, her words becoming faster ever so slightly. The subtle sway of her hips as she walked, or the way her braids moved delicately with each step. The way her skin shone as the light hit it and her lips that stretched into a wide smile when you’d say something not so funny, but she’d laugh anyway. Her voice, smooth and sweet. You could listen to her talk for hours.
Every moment with her had been magical, each one more rose tinted then the last as you fell harder and harder. Archery lessons would make your stomach burst into butterflies at the close proximity the two of you shared as she made sure your form was proper and bow was lined up with the target properly. At first, she had kept the contact at a minimal, jumping away from you as if your touch had burned her, but now she would take her time, easing into your presence.
Ikran riding was one of your favorite pass times with her. Watching as the window blew through her hair, the light cascading down on her skin, casting a beautiful – almost angelic – glow as she maneuvered through the sky. Language lessons were hard, but she made it all the better, and despite your frustration you couldn’t help but grin as she shook her head at your stupidity.
There was a pond not too far away from Home-Tree that Neytiri would drag you to before dinner, but after it had gotten dark, leading you into the water with her for a nightly swim. The water was always a lukewarm temperature, and it was always refreshing after a long day tracking through dirt and mud in such a warm climate. Sometimes the two of you would only stay in the water for a short while, getting out before even thirty minutes had passed. Other times you’d stay in for an hour or more, only getting out when your fingers began to prune or you were sick of watching fish dart through the water, their underbelly's illuminated in greens and purples from the luminescent pond floor. Then when you’d get out, you’d dry yourselves and help Neytiri squeeze the water out of her hair, insisting that she never got all the water out and you’d do it for her. Just another excuse to be close to her.
But today, today held all your favorite moment with her by far. You’d officially become part of the people that day, and the already high tension between the two of you had risen even higher, like water boiling over as she painted you with white lines that ran from your head to toes. Each delicate drag of her fingers setting your skin ablaze under them. The scene had felt intimate, maybe more than it was, but to brief for your liking before you had to step out and presenting yourself to the rest of the clan. Her mother had placed a hand over your chest, her father to your side and Neytiri to your left. She’d beamed up at you, smiling with what could only be describes as pride and it made your chest warm to know you’d made her proud.
That night she’d dragged you away from Home-Tree to, Utral Aymokriyä, The Tree of Voices. You’d pretended to be reluctant to go with her, trying to hide how eager you were to get a moment alone together. She’d run through the forest with such energy and excitement to show you this place that was so sacred to her people it was you’d hardly been able to keep up. That’s when the tension had broken between the two of you, under the purple and pink lights of Utral Aymokriyä and you were so glad it did because whatever new found thing you had now was so much better than the dancing around your feelings had been. It was real, and beautiful, genuine, and pure.
Well as pure as it could have been with the type of secret you were keeping.
“What are you thinking about?” Neytiri whispered, pulling you from your thought, her eyes scanning your face tiredly as she lay against you. Her legs were tangled between yours, one arm slung around your neck and the other by her head on your chest as she lay on your chest. You looked down at her.
“You,” your answer made her lips stretch into a small smile, a soft giggle escaping her. The sound made your heart flutter.
“What about me?” She pressed. You grinned, leaning down to press a kiss to her forehead with a thoughtful hum, pretending to take a moment to think.
“Everything I love about you,” you finally said after an exaggerated pause. Her sleepy smile only widened.
“What are those things?” her eyelids begin to slip shut as she finishes the question, the smile on her face beginning to fade as exhaustion takes hold of her.
“The list is to long to start now, we’d be laying here all night if I was to begin,” you whispered to her, raking a hand through her hair soothingly, lulling her to sleep. A moment later her chest began to rise and fall in a steady rhythm, her breath evening and her face relaxing, the peace of sleep pulling her under.
“Get some sleep my love,” you whispered to her sleeping form, “tomorrow's going to be a long day.”

Self Pity Pt2.
Tumblr media
Summary: you are recovering from many days of abandonment, Neteyam apologizes. Angsty, hurt/comfort. THIS TOOK ME TOO DAMN LONG IM SORRY.
Notes: this took me forever because I wanted the ending to be perfect and good writing not mid. Also I almost started to sob writing this.
Neteyam didn't cry, not in front of his family and most importantly not in front of his father. But that's the thing about you, you tend to change things frequently. Neteyam spilled everything to his father getting worked up again just by talking about what he did to you. It's hard for him to breathe, just knowing that you are sitting in the healer's tent because he could not provide for you like a proper mate physically pains him. The overwhelming urge to come to your aid prods at his legs making him step instinctively towards the exit as he's speaking. Jake notices this resonating with his son, and he grabs Neteyam by the shoulders grounding him. "Son, do you love her", Neteyam was convinced this was the most foolish question his father has ever asked him. "Of course" he blurts out a new wave of tears brimming in his eyes because he knows he's not worthy enough to even say that. Jake pushes Neteyam towards the exit of their home, navigating him towards the hut where you are resting.
Neteyam snaps his head up toward his father with uncertainty, "Go make things right". Neteyam can only muster up a small "yes sir" before pushing the flap to the hut to the side. A whimper slipped past his lips seeing your beautiful face pale and covered with a sheen of sweat. Mo'at grunts at his presence flashing a glare toward her grandson at what he allowed to happen. Neteyam sits beside your resting figure not daring to turn away from you for a minute. You have been asleep for over 15 hours now and Mo'at instructs Neteyam to wake you up while she gathers more herbs. Neteyam can't bring himself to respond to his grandmother instead he rubs his thumb across his lover's cheekbone beginning the process of waking her up. You begin to wake feeling someone touch your face, your eyelids flutter rhythmically hearing a familiar voice speak out to you. "Come on, baby. It's time to wake up," Neteyam says letting the pet name slip past his lips for the first time in weeks.
You start to sit up only to be pushed back against the hammock while being spoken to, "No don't move honey". Your eyebrows furrow as you start to gather all your senses again, this voice belonged to someone you did not want to see. You don't spare him your normal loving smile or soft-spoken words to him. "Why are you here Neteyam", his ears lay back a little at the harsh words but he nods agreeing that he deserved that tone. "I was scared. What mighty warrior is scared to love such a beautiful woman?" his voice cracks for what seems like the 10th time. Your ears pin back similar to Neteyams hearing him talk bad about himself, even through anger his pain is your pain. "I was scared to love you, I am an adult yet I was still scared of my father's disapproval. My foolishness made me lose the person I held closest to my heart... you".
Your feeble hand clasps over your mouth finally hearing the words you longed for. This was a declaration of Neteyam's love for you in every form imaginable. A tear rolls down your cheek and you shut your eyes tightly as sobs begin to take over your body. Neteyam hovers over your hands on both sides of your face where they used to lay every day. "Y/n I can't live this life without you. Oel ngati kameie". You would've bared this pain a million times over again just to hear those three words slip past his lips once more. Your hands fall on top of his tears running down your cheeks quickly faster than they ever have before. "Oel ngati kameie ma Neteyam," you say opening your eyes to see his expression brighten much like it did the day you accepted his courting advances. Seeing his bright smile beckoned more hiccups of tears out of you, Neteyam leans in more speaking comfort like he should've before, "it's alright, I'm here now". You nod closing your eyes for a moment and taking a much-needed inhale of air. Another moment passes by and a cough sounds through the hut signaling someone's presence, you were convinced Neteyam would detach himself immediately but he stayed glued to you. As if he could read your thought Neteyam reassures you, "I'll never turn away from you again".
