Why are voices so beautiful?

I've been listening to podcasts recently—fiction podcasts to be specific—and it made me realize how much peace someone's voice can bring me. The words they stress, the way they stammer when they're flustered, the places they pause—I can almost imagine them sitting in front of me, talking to me and in those moments, I don't feel alone.

New Stories from Ylelmore! Loved this episode. Some townsperson running an annual manhunt for themselves that everyone in the town gets really into is such a fun premise. The scene with the oracle was great, I love the the mayor just uses it as an excuse to get kids to do community service. I feel like it almost had Gravity Falls vibes, with the whole “everyone in this small town is obsessed with a bizarre local holiday” thing. Also loved the mental image of the giant glowing bunny appearing from across the town and Keryth instantly knowing where the Yeti (or something else heavy) is based on the color.

Minty Lam and Laura Bates head to Bonneville, Pennsylvania to attend the Bonneville Podcasters' Retreat. They, along with their absent friend, Ingrid, host The Night Owls of Philly, a podcast that focuses on investigating all things paranormal. They have plans to play the Bonneville Game, a ritual game that can only be performed in Bonneville, for their audience.

The legend says, if you visit the Bonneville Forest at midnight, you can call upon O’Malley the Smiling Demon to predict your future. After they play the game, they realize that it may have worked, and they’ve put everyone’s lives in danger.

why are some episodes of i am in eskew so bone chillingly disturbing to me (embroidery - david's gratefulness for the mockery of resurrection that eskew grants to kenneth) while i find others genuinely hilarious (tenancy - david crawling in his own walls like a rat and hissing)

If you’re a new/upcoming audio drama, if you would be so kind as to throw yourself at me (respectfully), that would be greatly appreciated.

I want to keep my eyes on y’all (as both a fellow creator, and as a fan).

Okay so both agonies and mistholme make it clear that the homeworld our main characters are in is one of multitudes- in agonies, it's common knowledge and there are known avenues to access other worlds, while in mistholme it's known-ish and just now beginning to be explored

so

it stands to reason that there can be crossover between the two stories without breaking the world building of either

Y'all remember bride of discord? Yeah.

I've finally decided to start doing Audiodrama Sunday (ignore the fact that today is Monday). Since I didn't keep track all week, this week's is just going to be what I can remember off the top of my head, probably missing some.

@camlannpod my lack of knowledge of Arthuriana continues to make me very confused, but not decreased my enjoyment of this show. Had to google what the sash was, and GWAINE DID YOU TAKE IT?

Mission Rejected released the first episode of season 5, and it was a doozy. Part 1 of the first ever 2 part episode of the show, and so much happened. Skip villain arc, a supervillain running an alpaca farm, Mcgrath and Athena content, and Chet Phillips playing Uno with a mob boss.

@spoutlore-blog also released the first episode of their new season. In a truly bizarre coincidence, both it and Mission Rejected released season pilot episodes, on the same day, set mostly on an alpaca farm, featuring a high-stakes uno game. Also some really good character moments.

@lostterminal in my ongoing efforts to catch up with this podcast I listened to season 12 this week. Nice to see a return to the status quo after the very weird season 11. Listened to the first episode of season 13 and really curious to see where it's going. A bunch of AIs having the same prophetic dream?

@kingmakerpod finished season 1. I am very endeared to these characters, and I love the weird worldbuilding. The commitment to the "and they were roommates" bit is very funny.

Skyjacks: Couriers Call I started listening to this week. Not many actual plays grab me, but this one did with its charming PCs. The trio of charisma-intelligence-strength is aways a great character dynamic.

Well thats all I can think of off the top of my head. Next week I should have a more complete list.
