No, no, you misunderstood me. The best trope isn't the villain gets the girl, the best trope is the girl gets the villain.
The Last Dragonborn, after getting Miraak from Apocrypha, probably

a fun fact about skyrim is that every npc pronounces miraak differently. and you may think that's not that interesting, but almost everyone who talks about miraak does so in response to the player asking them "have you heard of miraak?" OUT LOUD, which to me implies the dragonborn has no idea how to pronounce miraak and changes it depending on the person they're talking to

Eldritch Miraak headcannons
So I reference this in a few of my chapters, but as y'all could tell- Miraak's form even in apocrypha is extremely unstable. So unstable in fact, that he forces Storm into a bargain with him with the intention of betraying her at the summit and using her soul to stabilize his own soul that's falling apart.
While in apocrypha, his body was malleable- open to change so he ended up developing some eldritch traits. His "horns" are actually tentacles he tucks under his hood. They have eyes that are a reference to biblical angels but he ends up using them to bend another to his whims.
When He's finally out of apocrypha, he's left with a lot of disabilities and chronic pain as a result of his body just breaking. Arthritis, joint pain, the permanent pain from being impaled, you name it.
When He's under a lot of stress, the delicate control he had of his faculties falls apart and he had an episode of his body falling apart, contorting in ways that if anyone saw him- their mind would break immediately.
He's extremely vulnerable in this state, so Storm when she senses something is off about him- ushers him to a quiet place and let's him fall apart, she keeps watch making sure nothing that could be a threat to him make an attempt to ambush him -vigilante of staedar for instance.
Afterwards when he finally is able to grasp at the reins of control and mend his form together, he's usually bedridden from excruciating pain afterwards so Storm and her company members watch over him and make sure he's okay.
He has to wear his mask, if anyone he doesn't trust gazes upon his face- their mind will break. He has a limited degree of control over this, and whether or not you are able to look at him depends whether or not he's able to trust you and drop his guard.
Which is why Storm really is the only one who's able to fully look at him without consequences, he trusts her completely after she's been through hell and back to make sure he's safe, showing him what humanity is despite her being a horrible person at times.
One side of his face is mutilated from his body being changed, leathery necrotic skin, multiple eyes and some of his draconic traits coming through with the shaper cheekbones and jawline.
He will often use this to his advantage, especially in combat. Simply by lifting his mask, he's able to stun enemies enough for him to get a strike.
I believe in eldritch and draconic Miraak supremacy

Been working on a basic height chart for all my TES characters, so here are my dysfunctional babies (and here’s to hoping tumblr doesn’t kill the image quality, but if it does, just click on it to see it better.)
From left to right, we have Ilyavanthra, Evelynn, Morganne, Delilah, Taka-Xil and Jacken.
More info on these guys under the cut!
Ilyavanthra Atyreni is my resident villain, a Thalmor superior who thinks she’s god and refuses to acknowledge the Divines out of spite— which won’t go down well with the rest of the Thalmor, but that’s fine, she’s got big plans for them along with the rest of the world. The pivotal point for her was when she went missing, lost her legs under mysterious circumstances, came back wrong, refused to elaborate. After that she began frantically planning some kind of ultimate design and built new legs as proof of her efficiency. She’s positively obsessed with the Dwemer, their ideologies and methods and studied them for a large part of her life. At some point she was married to Evelynn, but their relationship is… difficult. All in all, giant scary lesbian Altmer with religious trauma and one hell of a god complex about to make it everyone else’s problem.
Evelynn is my favourite child, she’s my Bosmer Vestige and has lived for a very long time after the events of ESO, in which she has spent the years going from outright saving the day to falling into the background and preferring to work on the preservation of Tamriel from behind the scenes, as she knows no other purpose. Super complicated bisexual disaster love life, let me tell you about it, sheesh. She’s been around to help put down Mannimarco whenever he pops up, but has been running from Molag Bal and the looming feeling of impending doom he carries— little does she know she’s in a rat trap. Because of her extended life, her mind has far outgrown her body and by the time the fourth era rolls around, she’s less than all there, susceptible to any forced that would wish to control her (she’s also the character I put through the Vicn Trilogy, because putting her back in Coldharbour sounded like the worlds sickest joke.) I love female characters who have been put through extreme tribulations and come out of it little bit off the rails RAHHH!!
Morganne is my Imperial Dragonborn who remembers absolutely nothing prior to the carriage ride except her name. She fulfils her destiny in not only slaying Alduin but also taking up the role of Konahrik, which only strengthens her power as Dovahkiin. But what does it mean about you if you managed to destroy the destroyer of worlds? Does that not make you just as, if not more, dangerous? Perhaps. She’s still young and pretty naive but by god, is she as stubborn as a dragon should be, and keeps doing impulsive dumb shit she gets in trouble with everyone for. She refuses to kill Paarthurnax, who she ends up considering her father figure, refuses to kill any more dragons considering it ‘kinslaying’, as well as arguing that she believes Odahviing and Durnehviir to be her most loyal brothers, and instead of killing him at the summit of Apocrypha, releases Miraak and keeps him on a leash. They hate each other’s guts (code for they are deeply in love and cannot resist one another but both won’t make the first move out of pride)
That tiny lass is Delilah, a Breton with big dreams of being a sorceress but unfortunately also sucks at magic. See that staff she’s holding? She doesn’t know how to use it aside from thwacking people. She does however have a mass aptitude for Restoration locked away, she just has to figure out how to harness it, because without control, her emotions dictate her powers in miraculous ways, even resulting in resurrecting the dead. See that big fella beside her? He’s proof of that. Also, don’t let her baby face fool you. She’ll bite your ankles and she has a thing for monster boys.
The big fella in question is named Taka-Xil, and oh boy, does he run on pure spite. He’s not had a very good start to life, despite being born under the Hist, he seemingly had no connection to it whatsoever and couldn’t properly read the social cues of his kin or fully understand them. For that reason, he was deemed soulless, and no matter how much sap he consumed he couldn’t connect to the Hist— the amount he drank only made his scales much tougher, his tongue golden and his height drastically taller than by Argonian standards. So he runs off to join the Dark Brotherhood and developed a great deal of reverence for Sithis. He becomes Listener and lets out all that steam on contracts, until he meets Delilah, who teaches him that being soft is just as important as being strong. She’s the only one he sees any light in and he adores her. Big gruff guy soft for sunshine girl plus dramatic height difference trope here.
Lastly, we have my most experimental OC, the wonderfully unhinged Jacken Archanymia, the very last Cyrodiilic bird person. He’s been alive all these years due to a curse bestowed upon him by Peryite, and has since dedicated his life to creating the cure to everything. Yes, everything. Beginning with his own terrible affliction. He’s a brilliant alchemist and doctor, and regardless of how spooky his attire is and how… rotten he is beneath it, he’s very charming and animated, and does his very best to act gentlemanly. Just don’t get too close or you might get sick. That mask is more for your protection than his.

There's quite a few good quests in skyrim
The best, in my opinion, are
The Thieves Guild Questline, specifically the series of quests trying to find proof of Mercer's betrayal
The Dark Brotherhood Questline, once Cicero enters the sanctuary
The Dawnguard Questline
And At the Summit of Apocrypha

Title: free from my soul's condition
Fandom: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Characters: Male Dovahkiin | Dragonborn (Elder Scrolls), Serana (Elder Scrolls), Lydia (Elder Scrolls), Isran (Elder Scrolls), Arngeir (Elder Scrolls), Paarthurnax (Elder Scrolls)
Tags: .Male Dovahkiin | Dragonborn/Serana (Elder Scrolls), Male Dovahkiin | Dragonborn & Lydia (Elder Scrolls), Hurt/Comfort, Angst. Summary:
Thirteen years ago, Skyrim found her hero.
Ten years ago, the Imperial Legion marched on Windhelm, and the Civil War finally came to an end.
Nine years ago, the Alduin met his doom at the gates of Sovngarde, and Aetherius itself felt the shockwaves.
Five years ago, the Last Dovahkiin met the First at the Summit of Apocrypha, only one walked out, and Korsen finally broke. In the aftermath of his journey to Solstheim, he crawled into the bottom of a mead barrel, and never came up for air. The world, as far as he's concerned, doesn't need him anymore, and he doesn't need it. He's taken enough from it, and failed at so much more.
But when an all-too-familiar type of horror begins to wreak havoc on the world, and threatens to swallow the sun itself, Skyrim calls on her hero - and, for one last time, he reluctantly answers.
And into his life walks a dead woman who might just be the only who can show him how to live again.

This “directors cut” ask is so good! ⭐️ a star for you ☺️💙
Thank you so much for the ask, Blossom! 💖 Again, for anyone who's interested, here's the tag game!
Okay, another thing I love to ramble about TPATD is Miraak's and Jia's symbol: the growing crescent. When Miraak unconsciously tranced his soul out of Apocrypha, travel until Jorrvaskr, and gave life to almost stillborn baby Jia, he saw an apparition of a majestic half-moon slowly illuminated by the sun, which covered a part of it (I imagine it like this). This crescent emerged above Jia's cradle after Miraak somehow revived her and then rose in Skyrim's sky like a constellation amidst the stars, symbolizing the two Dragonborns' relationship: as the sun (Jia) always 'chases' the elusive moon (Miraak) but never encounters it, just as Jia's soul searched Miraak's between Nirn and Oblivion... So basically, their constellation is the promise of the impossible—that the First and the Last will unite someday, against all odds. And they did indeed when she battled him in the Summit, but instead of killing each other, they both escaped together... I also like to imagine it like an eclipse... The eclipse is often seen as a symbol of change or transformation, so by the end of the story, when a real eclipse will occur under 👀some circumstances👀, it will be a turning point in Jia's and Miraak's relationship, and the two characters will be confronted with a shared mystery...

I need opinions
Im definitely doing a Miraak quote as my senior quote, but it can only be 150 Characters long
I’m either gonna do a snippet of his Mantra from the Stones, or the “I know things that the Greybeards will never teach you.” quote.
Oooorrrr I may go the classic route and go with the “And so the First Dragonborn meets the Last Dragonborn at the summit of Apocrypha.”
If I were to do the Mantra, I’d probably do either the very beginning, or starting at “By night do we reclaim..” to “now through them does he speak”
Please I want to be even more of a social outcast and mostly I just have nothing clever to say so this is the next best option

Falas stuff:
Tumblr media
As I play more of him and also replay more of the dragonborn DLC I have some more personality and stuff for him tehe
Tumblr media
- wears a mask when in combat so Mara “cant see him enact such violence.” He almost has 2 very different personalities, after a fight he is the gentle and humble priest of Mara preaching love and compassion. But once entering a bandit fort or cave he has no mercy, even if he does bless the poor soul he brutally murdered afterwards. The contrast is quite eerie.
- sees his dragon blood as a sort of burden he must now take on. The Greybeards warned him that he is a son of Akatosh and that sometimes the wills of Aedra conflict. But Falas assured them that he is devoted to Mara first, and that his faith will not sway from her.
- when he goes to Solstiem and finds the stones and the temple being built. He has many nightmares/dreams where Miraak calls him by name. These dreams unfortunately can get a bit raunchy as the extreme repression of both his sexuality and his dragon blood roams free in his unconscious. It doesn’t help that he and Miraak are also cosmic soulmates.
- these dreams freaked him out so much that he actually chickened out of Solstiem and ran back to Skyrim and back to the temple of Mara for some kind of guidance or protection, Mara basically shrugs her shoulders and says “pray about it.” Of course this doesn’t help much as the dreams and visions persist as Miraak beckons him back to him, as well as stealing his dragon souls. But he defeats Alduin during this time.
- when he comes back to Solstiem he has mentally prepared himself as much as he can, confident that he will kill Miraak. But once he actually meets him in the summit of Apocrypha, he ends up saving him- going against Mara’s wishes as well as literally his entire team.
- very bad with directions, has gotten lost countless times in caves, the wilds, and even cities. Lydia leads the team in Dwemer ruins since he simply cannot be trusted.
- even if he is a priest, he has a want for adventure. Almost a naive one. This can sometimes lead to trouble of course, and he is not at all arrogant about it. But if he stays in one place too long he will become restless. He’s read too many books about adventure and he wants to go out and explore. This also comes from him being almost cloistered in the temple of Mara for a decade to redeem himself of his Deadric affiliations. So he’s happy to be outside.
- throws all his money away to those who “need it more.” Always has barely enough to get by or buy food or supplies.
