❗Fanart Alert❗
Tumblr media
The wonderful and talented @tesshere surprised me with this beautiful beautiful work of art of Tender Jiraak™ and OUGH—I can't STOP staring at it, my day was spent having a Major Case of Heart Eyes over this piece! 😍 Just look at Jia's fluffy fiery mane, her little freckles, the lovely pattern of her dress... and Miraak! his braids! his silver eyelashes and brows! his fur! his Ear!!! It's officially decided that my part snelf/part atmoran Miraak has slightly pointy ears after all!!! 😤
And that soft glow around them! Despite being so contrasting in powers, fire and ice, they're enveloped by the same light, which is so accurate lore-wise...🥰

Sooo, since I'm all about posting moodboards (I have some for the fellowship coming later), here's the one I made for @bougainvillea-and-saltwater 's fierce, red-headed blorbo, Jia!!
Tumblr media
Long message incoming heheh, but I thought the quotes were very fitting, I have said it before and I'll say it again: I adore the sun motifs so much! And combined with her fiery hair? A match made in heaven! All the metaphors of fire, sun, golden eyes, rising from the ashes like a phoenix are EXQUISITE, my lady! I hope it is aesthetic enough, it is quite different from Ravvy! But that's what I like about them! Ravvy is the earthy, sometimes frosty, other times warm moss or flower or even forest that brings joy and beauty into the world, without her, it would be an empty, boring dessert (I'm not shitting on desserts here, they can be beautiful too, but I'm trying to do a metaphor, bear with me 🤣 I'm really loving the moss comparisons and since you complimented me on that comparison of moss and Ravvy's eyes, I can't stop thinking about it) while Jia is the *sun*, essential for the world, given as how she saved it, multiple times. And she's so warm and cozy with her baking snowberry cookies and mixing alchemy potions in Helijarchen Hall! But as warm as she is, she can also be deadly, just like the sun! Do her wrong and she will shine even brighter and she will burn you!
And speaking of sun motifs, I do have a special talent of twisting lyrics of certain songs to fit with the narrative, and whenever I listen to this one, I think of Jia. I think of the whole fic, actually. I think it's quite fitting, Jia would hide from the "sunlight", as she is a thief, but it could also mean she hid from her past! Even choosing to change her name! Also, her love *is* like sunlight, because if she loves you, she will nurture you forever. I shall shut the fuck up and link the song now, right? :)))

WAIT OKAY. HEAR MEOUT, HEAR ME
O U T
dragon price is good, love that shit mmm mm mmm
but listen
Dragon Valeria
I’m literally going feral just thinking about it. Talk about one to spoil you, ravage you, cover you in jewels and silks and the blood of anyone who tries to take you from her. Tattoos that glimmer like scales—fuck I have to stop talking now or I’ll write a novel in your inbox but FUCK I’m normal about her (I am vibrating at a frequency only dogs can perceive)
“I burned a kingdom for you today.” She purrs, the skimmering scales along her shoulders flickering in the hazy orange glow of the lantern light. Her hands plant on either side of you, the lower half of her bare, pressed against yours draped in gauzy, shimmering fabric pilfered from the farthest of lands. The mere weight of her draws a deep, wanting hum inside you, like raising water from a boundless well filled to the brim with your adoration for her.
Her words should scare you, should send you curling into yourself as a terrified, frightened thing. A poor maiden helpless against the dragon that brought you here, snatched you from your pitiful life within a dying kingdom. You had been that maiden once, had cowered and been frightened and had watched her with a wary gaze. Yet the dragoness atop you now had earned your trust slowly, had brought you gifts, trophies, had provided for you in a way that made you offer yourself to her in turn.
The depths of her love used to terrify you, her promises to set the world ablaze for you if you commanded her so, to level kingdoms, to slaughter kings and princes and seat you upon their scarlet stained thrones. Yet now the declaration of her carnage sends an illicit thrill through you, has you drag her up and into you. Her lips taste like brimstone, like smoke and promises of destruction. The addiction of her violence drives a coiling warmth rushing to your core- warmed only by the fire on her breath.
“Bella.” She breathes against your lips, and her clawed hand smoothes along your calf, traces your supple flesh annointed with holy oils offered by priests to her in pleas for mercy. “So pretty, bonita.”
The gauzy, shimmering fabric of your dress is pushed up over the curve of your thigh, bunched around your hip and she huffs a laugh at the scar that’s planted there, her own mark breathed into your skin with fire- an ever present reminder that you belong to her.
Never once did you think it would be so, never thought that your emaciated, withering form dressed in rags would sit upon her throne not as a prize but as her queen.
You spread your legs for her eagerly when her hand dips under the edge of your gown, and Valeria purrs when she finds you already wet to her touch.
“Needy, mi vida?” She asks, voice low and sliding like silk against the back of your thoughts.
“Always.” You tell her breathlessly, and when her thumb presses down with the barest hint of pressure on your clit you buck your hips automatically. Valeria drinks down the little whimper that escapes you, laughs as you press your hips up into her palm.
“Need something?” She asks teasingly and you groan, feel frustration and desire meld with the unfurling warmth inside you.
“Stop teasing.” You whine, but Valeria withdraws her hand completely you reach for her, eyes lidded and lips parted with an apology. “No, no sorry, wait, Valeria please-”
“That’s my girl.” She husks, and you gasp in surprise as her hips roll down onto yours, offering you a tantalizing kiss of friction that has you arching up from the gold-threaded cushions under you both. “All you had to do was ask, querida.” You know. You know you can ask for anything and she’ll give it to you. Clothes, jewels, treasures, castles, kingdoms, souls- Valeria will plant her offerings at the altar of you and then rise to take your divine blessing. You bestow it upon her in the form of shuddering gasps and bitten pleas, of libations she gathers on her tongue, of the devoted oaths you echo down to her reminding you’re hers, hers, hers….

I am of the opinion that Dany will form an alliance with Euron, will probably even marry him (i am not sure on this one) but when the struggle between them begins, she will also overpower him. However, this alliance will cost her a lot. Exactly what, we don't know yet.
Hello anon! Sorry I took so long to answer 😔 While I obviously don't know for sure what will happen, I can somewhat guess based on canonical themes and foreshadowing.
In Meeren, Daenerys struggled with reconciling what she wanted to do as Daenerys with what she needed to do as a Queen. She was in love with Daario, but he was only a sellsword, an unfit consort for a Queen. She ended marrying Hizdahr to stabilize the political situation in the city, but she felt no attraction towards him. This dichotomy is a subcategory of the bigger "olive trees vs dragons" conflict in her chapters. If she's attracted to Euron and he offers an advantageous marriage alliance, for a brief moment she'll think she's getting everything she wants without having to sacrifice or compromise any of her desires. Even if Euron's betrayal miraculously doesn't cause any damage to her cause, his murder attempt will be emotionally painful.
Quaithe warned Daenerys about not trusting the "kraken and dark flame." She'll probably assume it's Victarion Greyjoy, whose house sigil is a kraken, is coming to Meereen to offer her a marriage alliance with a horn to control dragons, and is accompained by a red priest nicknamed Black Flame. The problem is that nobody interprets prophecies correctly in this series, so it wouldn't surprise me if the kraken turns out to be Euron or maybe Asha. The revelation that the warnings could be about any member of a house, independently if she meets them first or not, will probably make her more paranoid and fearful. Depending on how serious it is, this mistrust could damage her relationship with her allies, or straight up cause her to break off or reject alliances from "suspicious" houses.
Now, this part is based on the TWOW excerpts released by GRRM, so they could change once the book is published.
In the Forsaken, Euron forced Aeron to drink Shade of the Evening and he had a couple of prophetic visions. In the last one, he saw his brother sitting on the Iron Throne and using a dragonbinder horn to command dragons:
“The bleeding star bespoke the end,” he said to Aeron. “These are the last days, when the world shall be broken and remade. A new god shall be born from the graves and charnel pits.” Then Euron lifted a great horn to his lips and blew, and dragons and krakens and sphinxes came at his command and bowed before him. “Kneel, brother,” the Crow’s Eye commanded. “I am your king, I am your god. Worship me, and I will raise you up to be my priest.” “Never. No godless man may sit the Seastone Chair!” “Why would I want that hard black rock? Brother, look again and see where I am seated.” Aeron Damphair looked. The mound of skulls was gone. Now it was metal underneath the Crow’s Eye: a great, tall, twisted seat of razor sharp iron, barbs and blades and broken swords, all dripping blood. Impaled upon the longer spikes were the bodies of the gods. The Maiden was there and the Father and the Mother, the Warrior and Crone and Smith … even the Stranger. They hung side by side with all manner of queer foreign gods: the Great Shepherd and the Black Goat, three-headed Trios and the Pale Child Bakkalon, the Lord of Light and the butterfly god of Naath. And there, swollen and green, half-devoured by crabs, the Drowned God festered with the rest, seawater still dripping from his hair. Then, Euron Crow’s Eye laughed again, and the priest woke screaming in the bowels of Silence, as piss ran down his leg. It was only a dream, a vision born of foul black wine. (TWOW The Forsaken)
There's a theory that Drogon, Rhaegal and Viserion are meant to parallel Balerion, Vhagar and Meraxes, and if that's the case, maybe their fates are meant to foreshadow what will happen to Daenerys' dragons. Viserion will die first, taken down by a scorpion bolt. And how did Vhagar die? Fighting another dragon above the Gods Eye. The dragonbinder horn would explain why Rhaegal will fight Drogon, but why would they be at the Gods Eye? Well, maybe Euron will pick Harrenhal as the place to carry on his ritual, because the castle has been cursed since Aegon the Conqueror burned Harren alive with dragonfire, and their fight will mirror Vhagar vs Caraxes. Or maybe he'll pick the Isle of Faces because he wants to kill the Old Gods inhabiting the weirwoods, and because it was the place were the Children of the Forest supposedly sacrificed a thousand of captives to the weirwoods to call down the Hammer of the Waters and break off Westeros from Essos, and he wants to so something equally cataclysmic.

1 All Loving Hero
Tumblr media
Nazario Fiore (formerly Drago) really is the Arthurian ideal of knighthood. He's perfect. Even his enemies admire his abilities - and not just physically, but his capability to do the right thing no matter the personal cost. It's why he finds himself now married to the daughter of a Kenton by-blow, believing it is his duty to continue to support the family. And when a member of that family needed help with her brewery and an heir... Nazario complied.
He's even found it in himself to forgive the actions of Arndt Blumenthal, even though those actions arguably ruined Nazario's life. Not only was he prevented from going down with his king, but in the end he was stripped of his knighthood. A normal man would be furious, but Nazario buts little faith in things like titles. He knows who he is, even if that person is a stranger to him at the moment.
27 Imposter/Pretender
Tumblr media
Might be a stretch, but Salome... inwardly, she pretends she's still the heir to her father's kingdom. That it will be her, and not her little brother, who will continue the family line. After all - she was trained for years as the Crown Princess, a title given to her with the expectation she would lead, would rule.
And now there's Isidor who has taken everything by virtue of his birth.
She's too good of heart to resent him for it, but nor can Salome find it in herself to stop pretending. It's going to hurt her some day.
34 Lovable Rogue
Tumblr media
I can't do Garrett again. BUT. I can do the original troublemaking teen: Connor Dawn. Raised by priests even at an early age he had no intention of joining a holy order. He sowed mischief where he could, even corrupted the son of a duke! And then, just like mist, he fled the area for exploits overseas.
No one is really sure what he did while he was away, or why he's returned, but this criminal mastermind plans on keeping that information close to the chest.
39 Manic Pixie Dream Girl
Tumblr media
Okay, technically I shouldn't be picking a lesbian for this one, but out of all my teen girls Katinka Blumenthal has the most love interests so here we are.
A lot of people see her status first, how can they not? Secondborn princess to a new dynasty of rulers... impossible to ignore. But Katinka is naturally charming, with the sort of winning manner that makes everyone around her feel welcomed - and warmly. Even when they are not.
It has caused some problems, minor for now, because Katinka flits through favorites like the butterfly she is, with no real understanding of how she makes people feel. If she did know, she admittedly probably wouldn't care, being a bit mean-spirited and a snob.

"And when my body shall cease, my soul will still be yours. I swear, by my hope of heaven, I will not be parted from you [...] I am your Master, and you're mine. It seems I cannot possess your soul without losing my own." — Jamie Fraser, Outlander
Here's Jia, my Last Dragonborn, but this time I decided to give her company—her most beloved one at that! So, this is my rendition of Miraak as he appears in my fic; he is Atmoran with Snow Elf blood, and I like to think of him as the ice, the thunder, the winter personified, while Jia is quite the opposite: the sun, fire, and summer. They're my contrasting forces of nature who love each other very much, and they happen to be soulmates in every sense of the word, with the growing crescent moon being the symbol of their soul-bond! 🥰
(again, don't look at this way too closely, I'm only a beginner, and even more of a beginner when it comes to drawing men, specifically...🥹)

Sitting thinking my muses and their sexuality and views on sex considering I've never actually really posted anything related to this.
Zhongli/Il Drago, they have no preference when it comes to gender. Gender is a silly construct to them. They prefer to have intercourse with people they have formed close bonds too and can go through periods of not having any interest of having sexual relations.
Callie is straight but ace. She's no interest in having relationships romantically or sexually. It's something that hasn't interested her. She likes the concept of romance but doesn't see it in her future as of now. She won't say no to platonic friend dates though.
Layla is bi with a slight preference for women. But as of now isn't really interested in romance or having sex as she's currently too busy with barely sleeping, her education and dealing with apparent sleep walking. She really doesn't have the time to fit a relationship of that sort in.
Pantalone is Pan with a slight preference for males. Though he does tend to go for people who are 'powerful' because he likes the thought of breaking them and making them beg for him. Though he also doesn't have much interest in sexual relations unless he's close to the person.
Lamb is complicated. Lamb has no care for gender realistically. But take note that they also have no care for sex either but will use it as a way to get what they need and manipulate followers who are welling to sleep with them or they're 'married' too into believing they are loved unconditionally by their leader.
Dottore is a silly fellow. He also needs to have an interest to some extent but depend on thr situation and scenario he doesnt care. Plus it would depend in the segment and their age technically. Either way he has no care for gender really but has a slight preference for males.
Olivine is still in a way discovering what he likes. Since he comes from a BL game it's implied he's at least gay for obvious reasons. But I do headcanon him to be Pan but has a big preference for men usually. I like to believe he's somewhat open to exploring if he's got a close relation to the individual. He's rather reserved with what he likes/wants sexually due to his up bringing though and the fact he's a priest.
Alhaitham is gay. He knows who he likes and doesn't like. Men just are his preference. Everything he does is calculated to an extent. He only sleeps with people he either has an interest in or if he's just interested in having some stress relieve when he feels it. Sex isn't a big thing for him. He'd rather do it with a romantic partner than some stranger but sometimes you're not in a relationship so some stranger who won't remember you is required.

78 years since the birth of Fr. Slavko Barbarić
On this day of March 11th, 78 years ago, Fr. Slavko Barbarić was born in the small village of Dragićina in the family of Marko and Luca Barbarić as the fourth of six children.
His family was poor, but hardworking and rich in faith. His father died when little Slavko was 11 years old and this loss hardened him and made him mature early and become responsible. After finishing elementary school with excellent success, he expresses to the parish priest his desire for a priestly vocation and entry into the Franciscan order. He became a seminarian and enrolled at the Episcopal Seminary in Dubrovnik.
From 1966 to 1970, with the termination of military service, Fr. Slavko completed his studies in theology and philosophy in Sarajevo. He graduated in Schwaz, Austria, in 1972, and was ordained a priest on December 19, 1971. He received his Doctorate in Pastoral Theology in Graz in 1973. People's testimonies of the early years of Fr. Slavko's priesthood say that in his work from the beginning he did not limit himself only to the spiritual realm in the narrow sense, but extended his pastoral activity to those limits to which man's needs reached.
He received his first service in Čapljina. The virtues he showed there, such as great work, excellent knowledge of people's spiritual needs, especially closeness and ability to work with young people, did not go unnoticed. The Provincial Administration sends him to postgraduate studies in Freiburg (1978-1982) where he achieves a Doctorate in Religious Pedagogy. The doctoral thesis focused on raising adults in the faith, with the aim of answering the question of how conversion should be taught so that adults could learn and adopt it – just as if he knew that this would be one of the main subjects he would teach at Our Lady's school in Medjugorje! In the meantime, he attends and completes training courses for a psychotherapist and as a certified head of spiritual exercises.
Since January 1982 he has been working in Medjugorje where he worked with pilgrims. During the same period, he wrote reviews, books of spiritual content. He has collaborated with numerous domestic and foreign publications. He was editing the St. Peter's Bulletin. Francis in Čapljina, collaborated in the Karst Homeland, the Voice of Peace and on the radio station "Mir" Medjugorje. Barbarić's books have been translated into twenty languages and printed into millions of copies, making him one of the most widely read writers of our time.
In Mostar, he was a religious teacher for students from the spring of 1982 to September 1984. In Bijele Polje near Mostar, he led prayer seminars with nuns. Since the youth were extraordinaryly accepted by Barbarić's prayer courses and generally fruitful work with young people, the Yugoslav communist government began to persecute Fr. Slavko. These were very difficult times, and he was taken into protection by the exemplary Cardinal Franjo Kuharic so that Fr. Slavko could act.
Due to his knowledge of the main European languages, and in addition to his obligations in the parishes in which he operated, Fr. Slavko has worked tirelessly with pilgrims in Medjugorje in fact since his return from his studies in 1982. He was officially transferred to Medjugorje in 1983. At the request of Bishop Zanic in 1985, he was transferred to the parish of Blagaj, and in 1988 to Humac where he held the post of chaplain and assistant novice teacher.
He led special annual meetings for priests and young people. He led fasting and prayer seminars at the "Domus pacis" provincial house. He founded and ran the "Mother's Village" education and care facility, which he founded because of the great suffering of the war. When the Great Serbian aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina began, all the older friars went to Tucepi as exiles, but Fr. Slavko remained in Medjugorje, for the oral approval of the provincial at the time + Fr. Drago Tolj.
As a trained psychotherapist, he was able to work with drug addicts in the "Cenacolo" community in their house in Medjugorje "Campo della Vita" and in the community "Merciful Father" which he founded himself in his Mother's Village. He directed the funds sent by benefactors around the world to two funds: the "Fund to the Children of Fallen Veterans in the Homeland War" and the "Friends of Talent Fund" - to help young students.
He spoke tirelessly to the pilgrims. He led prayers before the cross, Eucharistic adorations, the prayer of the Rosary on Podbrdo and the devotion of the Way of the Cross on Križevac, where he ended his earthly life on 24 November 2000.

[A good part of how I wrote Hriob, at least when he was still new as both a character to me and as a RP Blog on Tumblr, was just throwing stuff until it stuck. Not in the manner of a monkey throwing darts at a bingo card, but in the manner of a kid with way too much time in front of a soda machine at a restaurant trying to see what combinations 'worked'.
You got Skyrim (remember this was when it was still brand new) on the brain and can't help yourself with the design? Let Hriob use the Dragon Priest Masks as a template for when he needs armor- both as a mask straight-up and to inform the design of what other extra plates and whatnot he'd add on to his already rugged cloak. Hell, as soon as you can work out a decent connection, try and fit in the Draconic Language, aka "Thu'um", into his magic if you can, Inadvertently sparking a whole new backstory plotline with an adoptive dragoness who may have inadvertently lead to Hriob's initial reincarnation from Krakonos in the first place once you run into a blog who allows for that sort of interaction. And suddenly a Video game inadvertently not only changed the look and feel of your character, but somehow turned around and reshaped whole SWATHS of his backstory, albeit by proxy, once things got snowballing.
That's... oddly enough a lot of how things went down with his development, since so much of his current 'design' is the echoes and reinterpretations of past decisions for past interactions. His love of baking and brewing is not only a hallmark of the stories of Krakonos teaching people how to use fermentation for both baking and brewing, but ties to both his Surrogate-Dragon-Mom raising him in a humble little Bakery, and to a few drunken benders with a Crow-Tengu leading to a vested interest in getting better booze for himself that turned into a side-business and an excuse to delve into Alchemy. His spiritual awareness and talents at soul-based magics are not only connections to the core ideas of Shamanism and its definitions, but part of two now retroactively redacted/de-canonized plots for two different women in his life - a potential love-interest and said Dragon-Mom once again - having issues with broken/shattered souls for wildly different reasons. Even if something seems like 'a good idea at the time' with him in his development, it usually ends up being entangled with other ideas and events to become something different, new, compared to its origins. Hriob's secret is that everything in and about him comes from something, usually more than one something, that gives it nuance and meaning.]

Honestly the Cooke family should be interesting... but I’ve already played their round and they bored me to tears. Hopefully next round Alyce will spice things up as she’s prone to do!
Now, Julien Cooke loves his wife - truly, madly, deeply. Does he doubt Mael’s paternity? Yes. But there is no easy way to discover the truth without ruining their family, and Julien isn’t willing to do that. More so now that Alyce’s wretched grandfather has finally kicked the bucket - that old man was awful!
When she was younger, Alyce was a good deal more footloose and fancy-free, to the point where she allowed herself to be drawn in by the serious and handsome Calogero Drago. As he was a priest (Even if he was part of the order of Zeus) her parents had not been too concerned, but they truly should have been. Their dalliance led to Mael and Alyce’s shotgun wedding to Julien, but she has no real regrets. Her husband has never spoken of the doubts he surely must have, and they finally had a baby of their own recently, little Dominique.
Mael’s dark blue eyes don’t fit in with the rest of his family, nor does he really look like them, but Mael has heard for years that he’s the spitting image except for the hair of his grandmother Sparrow so he has never really questioned that. Given that there are no surviving images of her, nor anyone alive who really remembers her face... it’s very possible he might never discover the truth. But will his romantic nature cause their close family to implode?
Dominique is almost a child and is named after my person favorite sim Dominic (who bullied Julien for years so I’m sure Julien is THRILLED with her name). Time will tell if she takes after her namesake or not.
