Goldenpunk under a starry night 🌌

A fanart for the fantastic writer @chaos-and-sparkles for a fic that isn't here yet but whose idea sounded stunning to me : Pavitr meeting a star deity, who's no one else than Hobie.

Close-ups and descriptions :

I thought immediately of Ponyo's parents (giant woman woooo) and nighttime on the sea. Pavitr might be in a dream, how come he walks on the sea ? And the galaxy seems to move and shape around someone's head...

Also, heterochromia was part of old Hobie's concept art, and I wanted to keep it since it was such a sick idea to show even more the duality/inconsistency of Hobie's character.

Prowler Hobie

Close-ups and more info below

Funny how we discovered that Hobie was the original Prowler in the comics, which made me wondering : where is he now ? And what does he look like ? I've read the comics btw (really good UGH) and there's so much potential to work with. I'm having fun and I'm not the only one.

Here's the coat I've drew for Hobie, not the one I have in mind for his Prowler costume but just a bit of fun and fashion (Hobie "borrowed" it, of course)

The words behind Hobie are "I'm going to cut you into little pieces" which are lyrics from the song "One Of These Days" by the Pink Floyd and I URGE you to listen to it. Menacing and with a sick bass/guitar on it? Prowler Hobie.

Is he reading some partition ? Some weird meme his friends shared with him ? Or looking at an odd picture ? I don't know really.

Had to fix his hair, so the headband was more fitting.

About the school uniform (because it's clearly one) I'd like to think he stole it from his late high school. He then added personal touches.

You know, having Teldryn over the phone can be something so personal.

I drew this marvelous man at the end of July and completely forgot to finish the colouring! Here he is, in a 1920's AU setting because I love the aesthetic.

He's of course talking to the Dragonborn, before and after entering in their service.

How to begin a rebellion (but your crush is too much committed into a cult)

It was a project I began in April. April. But since I was in school I couldn't be entirely focused on it. Though I'm happy I waited a bit, I progressed a bit in terms of facial expressions.

An idea of mine, from the AU created by @metallic-scaled-scarf , based on the GOL HAH DOV fanfic of @99corentine , where I imagined Miraak and Nonvul having a discussion (or rather, Miraak attempting to make Nonvul join his side very carefully).

Also, a detail I've seen in many medias : when a character is saying something with their eyes hidden but their mouth, it's mostly because they're not telling the truth. On the contrary, when you only see the eyes, it's when they're sincere, weither for good reasons or not. The mouth deceives but the eyes are windows to the soul.

And last but not least : if armor sexy, why that hard to draw.

An exercise of lightening with Chrysanthe in 1920's clothes because I wanted to. This takes inspiration from "The Horror in the museum" of H.P. Lovecraft, a book that stills frightens me today and probably my favourite cosmic horror short story.

I thought that if Chry's story was set in a 1920's atmosphere (with the American fashion like here), he would be a detective.

School is over ! I can have as much free time as I want now. Most importantly, draw what I want. Here you go @99corentine !

I've made some sketches these last weeks to test my color pencils and they're far better than my markers (too strong for my liking).

Sleepy pals ! And because I wanted to draw Chrysanthe laughing, I made him far too young by accident. So I went with a little Chry and then a little Miraak (because I can). And yes, Lucien showing with utter excitement his discoverings to Teldryn is something that must have happened a lot of times.

Some battle moves ! So many combats in this fic and complicated armours. And some Miraak, because I need some references for future drawing of his mask. I still don't understand how his epaulettes work though.

Teldryn is literally one of my Skyrim crushes, I couldn't not draw him. Curse the French voice lines for making him sound like Ancano.

The thing that is annoying with scanners is that they often remove or change the colors of your work.

For example, this illustration (original post here), with the scanner :

And the same but with a camera :

And the colors that are the most faithful to are those from the illustration taken by photo, but by comparison it looks like the latter is way too contrasted.

Anyway, traditionnal art struggle.
