•Lest We Forget• • Wow. So... this is the first Remembrance Day we’re celebrating with my grandmother. It’s been a long time tradition to go to either a church service or the celebration at the Butterdome in our guiding and/or scouting uniforms. So this is the hardest “first” I’ve encountered so far. Nona Dorothy McPherson (née Rogers) was an independent, outspoken, stubborn pain in the ass, and the most amazing person I’ve ever met. She served in the RCAF and only retired when she became pregnant with my aunt. She met my grandfather in the Air Force, and was an army wife for several years after she had her two daughters. She was an active member of @girlguidesofcanada both as a leader and then later on as a member of the 2nd Edmonton Trefoil Guild. She was a devout Anglican at St. Michael and All Angels, and volunteered her time and energy to many parts of the church. She was an active swimmer, going at least once a week, and did not slow down until October of last year. Lewy Body Dementia is the second most common dementia and the least talked about. It’s essentially dementia with Parkinson’s symptoms, such as tremors, poor balance, and losing the ability to articulate. My grandmother knew she was dying, and it was heartbreaking to watch her slowly accept that she was heading downhill. But she remained valiant as ever until the last time I saw her. She did not let Lewy kill her. No, she went home in her own time, waving to her loved ones on the other side that were inviting her back home. Today was emotional, to say the least, but after lighting an indigo candle and meditating, it was clear to me that she really is in a better place, and is always with me. I also offered some dried lavender (her favourite smell) and a poppy pin to say thank you. I will remember her and every other veteran or active duty soldier. I really haven’t posted on here in forever and I am truly sorry! I really enjoy studyblr, and it has absolutely helped me find better ways to learn materials and have fun while doing so!

This is a photo of my backpack and shoes from the first day of the semester. We are now two days away for it to be over, and ya fren is cramming like you would not believe. This fall has been a mental and physical health disaster for me, so I now have four projects due on Friday at 5pm and I’m very scared. I’m still trying though. Both of the courses I’m catching up in are based on skills and software I already know, so I should be okay... we’ll have to see though.

• #internationaldogday • • • • Onyx will be 1 on the 5th of September, and honestly I can’t believe it. He went from a baby in my arms to a big boy that causes chaos wherever he goes. And manages to make literally everyone fall in love with him in the process. • He has literally changed my life in so many ways. Along with the lifestyle change, he gives me a reason to smile every damn day. Even if he doesn’t make it as a service dog, I’m more than positive he will be an amazing companion (especially once he starts getting along with the cat). I can’t seem to help how emotional I get over thinking back on this nearly a year... both Onyx and I have changed and grown so much, and while we both have our downfalls, we get back up again and push through. So thank you, Universe, for this wonderful puppo of mine. I heard that it *is* in fact partly based on the Roman god Janus, god of duality, beginnings, and endings. 2. I want to punch Roman in the fact and give him a giant hug simultaneously. Happy Birthday Roman! I did a genderbend!Roman today, purely because my mental health is crap so binding is a nope. • As anyone that watches my content, talks to me, or puts up with my bullshitery knows, I relate to Roman so very much. Not only for being loud, often obnoxious, enjoys singing and the stage, and is an overall dramatic bitch™️, however. Roman has been insecure from almost the very beginning. I’ve been here since the birth of the series, and right from the start he is critical of himself to the point where it’s probably not healthy, he strives for attention... regardless of its positive or negative, and he is over the top to hide his actual feelings. All of those things describe me so well. He shows a vulnerability that I can see myself in, and it’s been incredible watching him grow as a character and watch Thomas (and character!Thomas) grow with him. • Our world is changing so quickly, and it’s hard to find a constant to ground yourself in the moment. Roman has been that anchor for me. While I say I love all of the sides equally, which I do, I have a different kind of connection to Roman, and that makes his arc so much more powerful to me. • @thomassanders has given us all a home in this famILY. He’s created relatable, in depth, and beautiful characters that allows him to share the knowledge he gains while making the series. He always has a message in each episode, and he and the rest of the team baffles me by the truly awe-spiring things they create, and I am beyond excited and also terrified to see what they come up with next. • With that said, I’m going to go back to having a wicked migraine and sleep for the next several hours. Happy Fur Year Anniversary, Arrow! • • Okay, so I look like a giant sap, but this cat has changed my life. Four years ago on November 9, 2015, I was sitting on my front steps filming a video for a collab channel that fell apart, when this tiny cat walked up to me, sat down in front of me and basically told me I was his. We tried for a week to find an owner, and when it ended we sent him to the humane society to get neutered and get his first shots with promise of first dibs to adopt him. We almost didn’t get to because the humane society wouldn’t call an interviewer off break to help us when we were in a rush and only had that day to claim him. The front desk watched me pace and start sobbing because my aunt had work and I had scouts that evening, and we were running out of time. He did come home with us, and now that tiny baby in the last picture is my brat child today. He has gotten me through so many low moments, and been there to glare at me in annoyance during my highest moments. We both grew and learned. He conditioned us to give him treats at 8pm each night, I found my identity and so many new friends, but he still rips through the house growling and chases his tail, and I still live off of Mac and Cheese. Thanks for being there, bubby. I wouldn’t be here without you, my squishy, my smoosh, my nerd, my butthead, and every other nickname you’ve earned along the way. • It’s Punishment Time!! • • Sooo...... Remember when I said I didn’t think I’d ever play Danganronpa? Because I didn’t think I could handle it as both an empath and emotional person? Yeah... I played 1&2 and will watch drv3 since I don’t have a pc. And I’m hooked! I got so wrapped up in the puzzle solving I forgot the severity of the deaths in game. So, naturally, I made my own dr server on discord called Castle Despair, featuring some amazing creators that play original character children of Disney characters! (I may tag some in this post) To match the theme, I took one of the most extra villains, mashed it up with Monokuma and voila! You have Hansokuma, also know as McStuffins, McFuckins, Bastard Bear, and SO many more. Let me tell you, that makeup was HARD AF! I worked really hard on his design, and since it’s a killing game I figured he didn’t need his whole outfit. So, yeah, bastard bear. It him. I told them I’d cosplay him, and no one believed me. • History’s About to Get Overthrown • • • • Okay... I cannot even begin to describe how amazing this experience was!! After seeing the cosplays and audios circulating around Tiktok, I soon became absolutely obsessed with the musical and the amazing portrayals of the SIX Queens. So I threw together a really quick closet cosplay based on Anne Boleyn and actually got to see it live, and I genuinely haven’t stopped smiling since it ended. I was literally vibrating with excitement before and after, and also in the talk down where they answered my question and I metaphorically launched myself into the sun!! Also thank you to whoever asked about vocal tension because I will be using the techniques that were recommended. I am really glad I got to experience this with my aunt. Not only is my aunt incredibly knowledgeable about the monarchy’s history, but she knew just how empowering these women were thanks to a PBS show, so when I mentioned it was a modern tale on the story and it’s about women solidarity, she got us tickets and bought me the hoodie as an early Christmas gift. (It’s SO soft you don’t even know) I was a little worried she’d hate it, but she enjoyed herself almost as much as I did. These ladies killed it for 80 minutes non-stop, full energy and in fricken HEELS! I loved it so much. thank you for coming to lil old Edmonton in the Narnia of Canada.
