Bad Day - (Arizona Robbins x Fem!Reader)
Tumblr media
It was the worst surgery I've ever been in. Nobody was focused. I was doing all the heavy lifting. It was a nightmare, and Richard wasn't helping me when I clearly needed it. Now, because of them, my patient died. Today can not get any worse.
Now I'm sitting with my back against the wall in the nurses' office area.
"What's up, Sunshine?" I hear Arizona's perky voice ask.
I look up at Arizona, whose face saddens once she sees me.
"Zona," I mutter, but before I could continue, she sits next to me and pulls me into her arms. Her warmth gives me such a sense of safety, I sob, with my head resting on her shoulder.
"Hey, hey," she speaks with comfort and awareness in her voice. "It's okay, Sunshine. It's okay."
Once my crying stops, I sit up and look at her. Her arms still around me, we stare into each other's eyes for a minute, but it seems like a lifetime. I lean in, until I realize what I'm doing. Then, I pull back in time.
"Oh my gosh. Zona, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to," I say.
She starts giggling. "It's okay. Believe me, it's alright," she says before she presses a short but sweet kiss to my lips. "I've wanted to do that for a while," she says, smiling at me.
Her pager beeps before I could say anything. "Oh, I have to go. I'll be as fast as possible. Then, I am taking you out for a night you won't forget. I'm going to turn that frown upside down. I promise, Princess," she says.
I smile and nod my head in approval.
"Wow," I say under my breath.
"You're okay?" Meredith asks looking down at me. She must've been passing by.
"Yeah, I'm... I'm okay," I say before getting up to start walking with her.

Could I request an Arizona Robbins imagine in which the two are together but they’re arguing over what route to go in for a surgery and during the surgery they bicker and soon they make up? After the surgery and then it’s fluffy?
Tumblr media
Author Note: Finally another story from me in the universe of Grey's Anatomy. I haven't written for these characters in a long time so sorry if they don't do justice to the real character on the show, I need to get back into it.
---
"Bookeh, pass me the pincer grip, please" ordered Arizona and looked concernedly at the monitor to which her little eight year old patient was connected in order to keep an eye on his vital signs during the procedure. "Pulse fluctuates violently, blood pressure is low but in the range."
Her gaze turned back onto the small and petite body as soon as she was informed of the health status and took the requested item between her outstretched fingers. "You seem nervous, we should have taken my route. It would have been safer!" you spoke slightly annoyed and pansy into the room, unsure whether the little boy would survive the operation with such a huge intervention and the associated risks with it.
"Then instead of three small punctures that the laparoscopy needs, he would have a huge scar that will forever remind him of this!" she answered seriously and continued to concentrate on the imaging procedures, which thanks to the camera, showed the whole abdomen.
Before you could counter anything against her choice, she invited you to look at the monitors as well and learn from it. "What can you see?" she asked to cover her nervousness about the information she had just discovered.
"The intestines are quite convoluted" you explained.
"I agree. That´s why I am going to try to unravel the intestines with the switch. What else can you see?" she continues to ask and began to press around the individual pieces of intestines with the forceps. "The rectum already looks necrotic" you answered confidently and a small grin escaped your lips.
Now she had to go your way; Arizona could not continue removing the already dead tissue with a laparoscopy. "Enough with the teaching, ´zona. We need to expand the operation and cut him open as soon as possibly."
The blonde bit her lip and stared silently at the monitor. She did not like to admit that you were right, but denying it was not in the cards at that moment. "I can see that, Y/n." While she carefully pulled the instruments out of the boy´s abdomen and sewed up each abdominal wound that was left behind, you took the scalpel and drew a long line from the navel to below the waist.
"I told you from the start that we should do it this way, why can´t you just listen to me?"
Sighing, your girlfriend pulled the stitches tighter and her hands clenched on the sewing scissors she was holding. "Because I am the head of pediatric surgery and I usually always contest the procedure I think is right!"
"Can you at least trust me for once and listen to me?" You brought me into this operation so I think I have a minimal right of choice as well." Your voice is suddenly muted by the irregular beeping of the monitor, allowing no time to bicker as you freeze for a moment in shock. Both heads looked up from their work and announced synchronously, "Pulse has dropped to 52, blood pressure has fallen into the red area."
While you tried helplessly to locate the source of the young man´s sudden debilitating state, Arizona stood paralyzed in her place and watched you frantically work the open body in on the operating table.
"What happened?" she asked in disbelief, seconds later, beginning to break out her rigid state as she mentally prepares for the worst. "He´s bleeding. Above the necrotic tissue, the intestinal wall is so thin that it tears open as soon as I touch it."
You tried desperately to stop the bleeding that was obliterating all your vision. The suction that Bookeh held in the open abdominal cavity, trying to suck up the blood to give you a better view, also failed due to the amount of blood. "I need help here, four hands are still better than two."
Your girlfriend quickly moved to the opposite side of you and grabbed the tools needed to help you find and stop the bleeding. But she, too, was struggling and was sure they had to do more than that. Arizona noticed through a minimal insight that both simple sutures and the tissue had not chance to hold or recover; everything had to go.
"Hemicolectomy. We need to remove the part that´s impermeable or it may rupture. Rose, page Doctor Bailey, we need assistance here" the head of pediatric surgery was slightly overwhelmed and annoyed, so she pronounced the sentences slightly mad.
---
After a few hours and the active support from Bailey, the little boy survived. Although he had a bumpy and difficult healing path ahead of him, the most important thing was that he was still breathing and had a long life ahead of him.
"Fortunately, everything went well" Arizona whispered and you could hear relief in her hesitant voice. Your gaze turned to her briefly and you nodded before looking at the sink again, not a word leaving your lips.
You stood in the washroom of your used operation room and kept silent to each other until the blonde spoke up. "Maybe next time I should step back and listen to you when it comes to a surgical route" she admitted, looking down at her hands. "It´s not that I don´t trust you, I just like to always be right and do everything right, you know?"
You nodded.
"Arizona, it´s okay. I am not mad at you." you said mournfully and simply, drying your hands before moving behind her and burying your face in the crook of her shoulder. "I know that you only want the best for the little ones on the operating table, I can understand that."
Your hands slid down her sides and she giggled before placing her hands on your forearms and wrapping them around her middle. Soft, light and warm kisses breathed on her thin and ticklish skin between head and shoulder, she leaned her head back into her neck and enjoyed the closeness and warmth of you.
"I am sorry."

.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
Arizona had warned her. She had warned her ten hours ago, saying that she should take the day off of work because she’d be sick. Callie wasn’t typically one to ignore her wife’s typically valid points, but she scoffed at the idea that the perky blonde could predict when someone would be sick with no evidence at all.
As a medical professional, she needed evidence for just about any decision in her life. There came a certain comfort when one worked in a field driven by science, a level of surety that was never swayed by opinion. No matter what someone believed there was a correct answer. There may have been multiple, but there was always an answer if you were willing to find it.
Imagine the orthopedic surgeon's annoyance when she woke up for her next shift with a pounding headache and stuffy nose. She groaned inwardly and rolled over in bed, surprised to find it empty. Her wife was nowhere to be seen. Shit.
The brunette checked the time and her ‘shit’ feeling grew more intense. She was late. She was so very late.
Ignoring the protests of her overly exhausted body the surgeon pulled herself out of bed and raced to the bathroom, pulling on the first clothes that she managed to yank from the dresser. She managed to brush her teeth while doing her hair, a feat that she was mildly impressed by. She was capable of doing anything if she was late.
Callie ran into the kitchen, grabbing her bags as she headed for the door, pulling up short when she saw a note on the counter.
Calliope-
Don’t you dare come to work today. Bailey knows you’re sick and is under orders to alert me if you are seen entering the hospital. There’s chicken soup in the fridge, heat it for lunch. I’ll call you in a few hours to check-in.
Love you,
Arizona
The note gave the ill doctor pause. What if she did say home? What if she followed her wife’s orders and went back to bed? She knew from experience that Arizona made amazing chicken noodle soup, it was practically the only thing that she could cook. She also knew that there was a good chance that the blonde would come home to her if she asked.
Callie pushed the thought away as quickly as it had appeared, she probably wouldn’t be allowed to see patients but she could at least fill out paperwork. Like most of her coworkers, she was awful about finishing her paperwork on time, there was just so much going on that she didn’t always have time.

Amelia was startled from her intense study of the brain scan by a hacking cough that reverberated off of the walls and made her chest hurt in sympathy. She poked her head through the doorway and curled her lip at the sight of Callie stumbling down the hallway.
“Torres!” She called, pulling the brunette’s attention away from whatever her original task was. Based on the glazed look in the Ortho Goddesses eyes and the emptiness in her expression Amelia wasn’t even sure that she had a task.
“Damn, you’ve kept that cough through two colds and it sounds like you’re on your third.” The neurosurgeon murmured, pressing the back of her hand against Callie’s hot forehead. She grimaced and the other doctor took a few quick steps away, looking dazed. She turned away and began to cough into her arm, doing her best to shield the woman in front of her from the germs.
Amelia reared back, covering her mouth with a hand.
“No, nope. I have to be in a kid's brain in two hours, you are not giving me whatever that is. Go home Callie, you’re gross.” She wrinkled her nose and gave Callie a sympathetic pat on the shoulder before running off to rub hand sanitizer on any part of her body that might have been exposed to whatever her friend was currently infected with.
The ill woman sniffled tiredly and trudged down the hall, not going anywhere in particular. With her brain on autopilot, Callie found herself wandering onto the pediatric unit, right to where Arizona was signing reports outside of a young patient's room.
“I want a clotting test done on her and make sure to continue monitoring her vitals, page me if they drop any lower.” The blonde doctor ordered, smiling warmly at a nurse. The man nodded and went to get the things needed for the clotting test.
Callie realized her mistake at the last second and tried to veer off course, but it was too late, she had been seen. The pediatric surgeon glared at her sick girlfriend and shook her head, resisting the urge to start yelling in the middle of the hallway.
While the woman always loved her heelies, she was particularly grateful for them in that moment, it made it much easier to catch up with her fleeing lover.
“Calliope! What the hell are you doing here?” She hissed, grabbing the brunette's shoulder and spinning her around. Callie looked at her with wide eyes, seeming at a loss for words. She was never at a loss for words, she always had something to say.
Arizona felt her heart drop at the look on the woman’s face, she just looked exhausted and confused.
“Callie. Baby. Why are you here?” She asked, her voice softening as she let go of the frustration. Her girlfriend had a fever, she wasn’t fully aware of what was happening.
“I um…I didn’t want to be alone.” Callie said sheepishly, refusing to meet Arizona’s eyes. She was incredibly embarrassed by the admission, she wasn’t one to express any kind of weakness, and this, this was weakness. This was just about as bad as it could get. She was vulnerable, she wanted her girlfriend.
“Oh, Calliope. Okay,” The blonde sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose as she tried to figure out what she should do. She could stick the other woman in a room until her shift was over, that might be the best course of action. Or she could just take her home to make sure that she rested and it was probably best to remove her from the hospital entirely so that she didn't sneak off to work.
“Ellen,” She said, turning back to one of the nurses. “I’m going to take Dr. Torres home, I want you to page Dr. Montgomery-Shepard if anything happens. She will decide if I am needed.” The nurse nodded her understanding and gave Callie a sympathetic smile. The doctor wrinkled her nose in distaste, unhappy that she was getting so much attention. She just wanted her girlfriend.
“C’mon Callie. Let’s go.” Arizona whispered, looping her arm through the other woman’s. Callie coughed into her shoulder and the ped’s surgeon hummed her disapproval and rubbed her back to calm the fit.
“You okay?”
“Mhm,” Callie replied, rasped rather, her eyes dull and clouded with fever. She had started to shiver a bit, inching closer to the woman by her side. Arizona held her a bit tighter as they walked out of the building, throwing a wave at a slightly annoyed-looking Bailey on the way out.
One look at the orthopedic surgeon and the woman’s expression turned from frustrated confusion to a mix of disgust and concern. She waved back with a slight eye-roll, leaving the two to go home.
Callie fell asleep as soon as Arizona started the car, her cold taking everything out of her. The blonde smiled over at her girlfriend, her heart swelling at just how beautiful she was. The wrinkles on her forehead were gone, leaving a soft content expression on her face.
Her lips were parted and her nose was red, but that didn’t take away from her overall beauty. It added a sort of vulnerability to the woman’s stoic demeanor. That was when Arizona realized: she was in love with Calliope Torres.
She drove in silence, contemplating the revelation that she’d just had, glancing over at the sick brunette every few seconds just to reassure herself that the woman was still breathing. The quiet was only broken by the sounds of Callies soft snores and sniffles.
When they arrived home Arizona was almost hesitant to wake the brunette, she was sleeping more peacefully than she had in weeks. But her cheeks were flushed and her nose had begun to run across her lip, they needed to go inside.
She climbed out of the car and shut the door quietly, hoping to give her just a few more seconds of rest. The blonde opened Callie’s door and touched her shoulder, squeezing it gently to wake her up.
“Hey Callie, it's time to wake up.” She murmured, reaching up to tuck a lock of thick dark hair behind her lover's ear. The brunette started, sitting up quickly with wide confused eyes. She stared at Arizona, almost looking right through her.
“Hey baby, it’s okay.” Callie frowned, looking around, disoriented as she tried to take in her surroundings. She was pretty sure she’d fallen asleep at the hospital, but…this wasn’t the hospital.
“We’re at home, remember?” The blonde could read her mind and any other day it would be cute, but for now it was creepy. It was making her nervous, she didn’t fully understand what was happening and all she wanted to do was go back to sleep, hopefully in her girlfriend’s arms.
“We’re at home?” She asked, blinking tiredly up at her fellow surgeon.
“Mhm, we’re home. Come on, let's get you inside.” Arizona wrapped an arm around Callie’s waist and helped her walk inside, being incredibly careful not to let her trip up the steps. It was a slow, painstaking process, but soon enough she had the brunette in the bedroom, standing near the bed.
“I gotta change.”
“Woah, woah, sit down your complexion’s scaring me. I’ll help you change, okay? Let's take your temp first.” The pediatric surgeon whipped out a thermometer and dragged it across Callie’s forehead, simultaneously forcing the brunette to sit down. She held the woman’s chin in hand as she stared at the device in her hand.
“Okay, 101.6, that’s not as bad as I thought. Here, I want you to change into these while I get some NyQuil, which you will be taking. Understood?” Arizona had gone full-on doctor mode, not leaving anything up to fate. She would be taking everything into her own hands to make sure that her girlfriend got better instead of worse.
Callie sighed and nodded, slightly relieved to have her girlfriend with her. She wasn’t alone, she didn’t have to deal with it on her own, and she had someone to take care of her. The brunette watched as Arizona left the room and began the painstaking process of undressing, her muscles aching in protest with her every move.
She had managed to pull on the sweatpants and get the shirt half off when the other woman returned, a bottle of Nyquil in one hand and a glass of orange juice in the other. She set her things down on the bedside table and chuckled at he lover's predicament, rolling her eyes slightly.
“Need some help?” She chuckled, moving to pull the shirt off the rest of the way and replace it with the soft cotton one. With the woman changed and sitting in bed, she was now pouting up at her blonde lover.
“I don’t feel good.” The brunette complained, sniffling pathetically. Her cheeks were flushed which was a huge contrast to the pallor of the rest of her skin. As soon as the ‘I’m the toughest person in the room grrr’ attitude wore off, Callie turned into a big baby when she was sick. It was sort of endearing.
“I know Callie. Take this and drink half of that OJ and then you can get some sleep.” Arizona ordered, handing over the small ‘shot glass’ of medicine. The ill woman grimaced and glanced up with a ‘do I have to?’ look on her face that she hoped would work. She forgot that her girlfriend got that look all of the time.
“Nice try, take it.” With a long-suffering sigh, Callie did what she was told, being sure to exaggerate her disgusted expression the whole time.
“You’re mean.” She grumbled, reaching for the orange juice to chase the awful taste of the medicine.
“Yeah, but I’m cute.” Arizona grinned back at her and began to change, pulling her hair out of its ponytail as she climbed back into comfy clothes, fully intending to join her girlfriend.
Callie drank about a quarter of the  OJ before she couldn’t do it anymore, her throat protesting against the acidity of the drink. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to make Arizona happy, but she just couldn’t drink anymore.
“Alright, I guess that’ll do. Now, you are going to take a nap and I am going to do some work. Sound good?” The blonde wasn’t really looking for an agreement, it was happening whether or not Callie wanted, but thankfully she did.
She curled into the woman’s side as she pulled the blankets over the two of them, opening her laptop as she settled under the covers. The slightly younger surgeon put one hand on the top of Callie’s head, stroking her hair as she typed with one hand, the clack of the keys lulling the sick woman into a sleepy daze.
“‘Zona?” She mumbled, already slurring as she began to fall asleep. Arizona hummed in response, not looking up from her screen. She had files to finish and this was the perfect excuse to catch up on some of the pointless work that she’d been putting off.
“Love you ‘Zona.” She stopped in her work and looked down at the woman by her side, a smile spreading across her lips. Callie was chuckling quietly, her body shaking with quiet laughter.
“I love you too. Now shush, I need to work.” And that was that. Calliope Torres lay with Arizona Robbins, one sleeping fitfully while the other worked. It wasn’t the most glamorous sick day, and it wasn’t the most comfortable, but at least she wasn’t alone. Both would later agree that leaving Callie to roam while she had a fever was definitely not the best idea.

LOSING YOU || Alex Karev X Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: You and Alex have been married for a while and are expecting your first child. But something terrible always has to happen...
Warning: Anguish, cute (at first), crying, mention of death, and mention of medical procedures.
Words: 2.3K+
Author's note: First I want to say that this is my first picture that I post here and second I ask for forgiveness if any word is wrong, English is not my first language. I'm brazilian😊. But other than that, I hope you enjoy the story and prepare the tissues because there will be crying.
..................................................................................
Alex Karev, the great pediatric surgeon at Gray Sloan Memorial, is expecting his first child, along with the Goddess of Orthopedics, Y/n Y/s Karev.
Right now the dads are in for a routine ultrasound with Arizona Robbins.
" Look here we can see your daughter perfectly" Arizona turns the ultrasound screen towards you
"She is so beautiful" Alex was delighted with the beauty of his daughter
"Look, she has your nose" Y/n shows on the screen and looks at Karev who smiles all silly
Dr Robbins finishes the ultrasound and leaves the room leaving only Y/n and Karev, with the 3D ultrasound image in their hands.
"Can I keep the photo? I'll leave it in my lab coat for everyone to see how beautiful my daughter is"
"Yes you can, silly daddy" Y/n laughs and hands the photo to Alex
Soon a pager is heard beeping. The two pick up the device and look at its screen.
"It's mine, emergency"Y/n says and gets up from the stretcher in a hurry
" Hey, where do you think you're going running?"
" For the emergency, they are calling me"
"Yeah, I know, but you need to take it easy. Since you are at the end of your pregnancy."
Alex was all worried about the health of his daughter and wife.
"Ok, ok... I'll go slowly to the emergency" Y/n laughs "See you later dear" she kisses Karev and leaves the ultrasound room
Y/n walks to the emergency room, but when she realizes that Alex is no longer behind her. Run away to get there faster.
She arrives panting.
"Did you come running?" April asks
"Yes, yes, but I'm fine" Y/n put the yellow apron on her arms "What do we have here ??"
"Anything"
"Uh, what do you mean??" Karev puts her hand on her belly
" Doctor Webber paged all of us, but said nothing. Maybe it's just training" Kepner says
"Holy shit, so I ran for nothing" Y/n leans forward and leans on the counter
"You shouldn't be running around, it can cause a premature birth"
"Yeah, I know, Alex curses me all the time for that. But it can't be avoided."
Soon after, Avery, Meredith, Derek and Cristina arrive at the ER as well.
"Hey, there's no one in the ER" Derek comments
"Webber paged us and didn't say anything" Y/n and April say together
That said, the boss arrives in the emergency with Dr. Bailey's company.
"Why are we here?" Gray speaks to the doctors who have just entered
"I beeped you because just now" there was an accident on the boat, we have several injured on the spot. I wanted you to go and help the people that are there, while Dr. Bailey and I help the interns with the ones that were arriving here.
"But wouldn't it be better for the interns to go and for us to stay ??" Jackson Avery asks
"Yes and no. Even because, I want the best doctors to help the most injured. And as some will be in critical condition, I need you to make the patient as stable as possible, and then bring him here" Doctor Webber says "And we all know that interns are not well prepared for an emergency type."
"Now go quickly and get everything you will need. If we meet here in 20 minutes" Bailey says and the six of them head towards the supply closets.
Y/n arrives and starts putting everything she will need in a hospital bag.
" I heard there was an accident on the ferry" Alex arrives at the pantry too
"Yes, Webber paged us to help on the spot, while they and the inmates help what's coming" the woman put gauze and syringes in the suitcase
"But because the boss paged you, he knows" that you're at the end of your pregnancy and can't keep making much effort "Alex says worried
"Alex, I'm fine. Look" the wife does a jumping jack and her husband laughs "I'll be fine. We're going to be fine, aren't we Sarah" the girl directs the last sentence to the little girl inside her belly -
"Ok then, but let me help you with that bag" he takes the bag that his wife put the supplies and leaves the room
Both go to the emergency room, where the other doctors were waiting for the woman.
"Great, now get in the ambulance they took you to the scene" Doctor Bailey says and they do what she says
Y/n was about to get in the ambulance, but an arm holds her lightly. And she turns around.
"Promise you will take care of yourself and take care of our baby right" Alex was very worried
" Obviously, I always took care of her and myself, why wouldn't I take care of it today?" The woman tilts her head a little to the side
"Okay now go" Y/n was about to get in the ambulance but Alex pulls her in for a quick kiss
"Alex Karev !!" Doctor Bailey scolds the doctor
"Okay, now you can go"
Y/n gets in the ambulance with the other doctors and blows an air kiss to her husband.
"I love you she whispers"
" I love you so much more" he says back and the ambulance doors close
The ambulance leaves the hospital heading towards the accident.
"Is everything okay, Karev?" Webber looks at the worried man and asks.
"I don't know, I didn't wake up very well today" he smiles fake at the boss and enters the hospital again
While the ambulance did not arrive at the scene of the accident, the doctors were going over what they needed to do at such a time.
"Red ribbon, urgent patients to be treated" April says
"Yellow tape, stable and can wait a while" Y/n reminds you.
"And the ones with the green ribbon, they don't have serious injuries and can wait" Gray says and the doctors who were in the back of the ambulance nod.
Soon the ambulance arrives at the scene, they open the back door of the vehicle and see a total destruction of the boat and several people crying, screaming in pain.
"Badges on the front and let's go" April gets out of the ambulance and the rest follow
Y/n grabs the bag of supplies she prepared and climbs out of the ambulance with Meredith's help.
"Are you sure you don't want help??" Gray refers to patients
"No no, Sarah and I take care of it" Sarah is the name of her daughter with Karev -
The woman straightens her coat and tucks her badge in front. And follows in search of any patient with BONES injuries.
After treating about 2 patients with yellow tape, and 1 with red tape. The woman stops for a while and breathes, because whether she likes it or not, her big belly gets in the way of her movements. And to make matters worse, Sarah was fluttering in her stomach.
"Sweetie, you need to be quiet, mom is working" Karev caresses her belly and notices that Sarah is getting calmer -
After catching her breath, the girl goes after another patient. Until he notices a little girl pulling on his coat.
" Hi, are you lost dear ??" Y/n asks but the girl doesn't say anything
Y/n examines the girl and she wasn't hurt, just a few scratches on her face but nothing so deep that it needed stitches.
"Look, I'll find someone for you to stay until I find your mother ok??" Y/n goes out to look for someone but the girl pulls her coat again
"Hmm look, I need to take care of these - hurt people, and I can't be with you ok?? But I'll find someone really nice to take care of you"
Y/n tries to look for someone to be with the girl again but she grabs her coat tighter.
She was just making the Doctor's life more complicated.
"Okay, you can stay with me, but try not to disturb me ok ??" she says and the girl nods "Ok, let's treat a patient then"
Y/n adjusts her bag on her shoulder and holds the little girl's hand. Both were walking around helping some patients, when they hear a voice.
"Did you hear ??" Y/n asks and the girl says yes with her head
The woman starts looking for the person who had screamed. Until the girl pulls on her coat.
"What's it ??" he looks at the little girl and she shows it with her little finger to the person screaming "Alright, let's go"
Y/n takes the girl's hand and they go towards the man who was halfway away from the crowd and near the water.
"Hello, I'm Dr. Karev and the girls and I will take care of you."
The doctor starts to get gauze, morphine and everything she would use to treat that patient. And the girl couldn't stop looking at the bloody man.
"Hey, is everything ok? I just want you to turn there, because I know this is kind of scary for you" Y/n says
Thus causing the little girl to turn her back to her and the patient.
"I'll apply morphine to lessen your pain, ok??" having said that she applies the drug to the man
He notices that his leg was gushing blood and had a big cut. She squeezes her leg, making pressure, so the blood doesn't come out so much.
"Hey girl, I know I told you to turn around, but I need your help right now" Karev was pressing the man's leg with both hands " I want you to get that syringe and that thing that looks like a belt'
So the girl turns around and starts looking for what the doctor asked for in the bag.
" It must be on the right side, the side facing the water"
The little girl searches some more and finds what she asked for, and gives it to her.
"Thank you very much, angel" she thanks the girl "Look, this is going to hurt a little, but it will pass ok??"
"No no, I'm fine I don't need it" the patient starts to move a lot
"Look, I need you to..."
Without even finishing talking, the man accidentally pushes Y/n, causing her to fall into the water.
Without even finishing talking, the man accidentally pushes Y/n, causing her to fall into the water.
She starts to struggle a lot, she knew how to swim, but with Sarah inside her, it was kind of impossible.
Make a plan. Set a goal. Work in that direction, but occasionally look around. Drink, because that's it. It may all be over tomorrow.
[Hospital...]
Alex was visiting one of his patients in the pediatric ward.
"Now open your shark mouth so you can see that throat" Alex says with a toothpick in hand to examine "The little patient does what he asks."
"Everything is alright. He's recovering fast, little shark" Alex pinches the child's nose "We'll keep him more tonight, to make sure he's all right" he says to the boy's mother
He writes some things down in the chart and before leaving his patient's mother says:
"And your baby?" she says and shows Alex's lab coat, which was the ultrasound picture of his little girl and Y/n
"It is" he smiles "My little Sarah" he hands the photo for the girl to see
"how cute" he sees the photo and gives it to him again "Congratulations on the little one "
"Thank you" he leaves the room and goes to the pediatric ward counter
He was signing something on one of the papers the nurse had entered for him. Until your page beeps. He takes it from inside his apron and reads the message that was displayed on the screen.
"Y/N!!" He saves the page and runs to the emergency room
Arriving there he sees Jackson and Bailey carrying Y/n on the stretcher, while Cristina was having heart massage.
"What happened to her" he goes to "enter the room more prevent"
"She ended up drowning. A little girl who was with her said a patient accidentally pushed her causing her to fall into the water" Jackson says
Alex goes to enter the room where his wife was but Bailey stops him.
"No family members"
"But it's my wife and my daughter"
"Yeah, I know, but we're trying to save them" Bailey pushes Karev "Stay there. Jackson stays with him"
Having said that, Doctor Bailey goes back into the room.
"We have to take the stop cart" Cristina informs
"We can't, they will harm the baby" April says
"Then apply adrenaline" Bailey says and Cristina applies adrenaline to the woman
Soon they can see beats on the screen.
They started examining the girl while April checked that the baby was all right.
"Call Robbins, I can't hear the baby's heartbeat" Kepner puts the stethoscope on his neck again
While one of the inmates went to get Robbis. Y/n has another cardiac arrest.
" I need to get in there" Alex enters "with everything in the room and starts doing heart massage"
"ALEX !!"
" I'm sorry, but I need to save the love of my life"
"Alex no, he has a signed ONR order" Gray said
"THEN TEAR THAT SHIT, BECAUSE I'M NOT LOSING MY GIRLS TODAY" Karev says nervously and the staff starts to help the same
After 1 hour, he was still massaging the girl.
" Alex..."
"No, she'll get out of it."
"Alex, she's already gone... "April says sadly
"IT WAS NOT NO" Karev was still giving his wife a heart massage "Arizona how is Sarah ??"
Arizona checks the baby for signs but finds nothing. They had already left some time ago. Karev looked hopefully at the doctor. Robbis just shakes his head in denial.
"Alex... "Jackson call him "They're gone..."
Alex stops giving the love of his life a heart massage and leaves the room without saying anything.
"I'll go after him... "Gray takes off his yellow apron and goes after Alex
Gray looks for Alex around the hospital and until he sees him sitting on a stretcher, in the hospital hallway. I could hear their cries of despair, sadness and anger.
"I lost... I lost my girls" he sobbed from crying

"Where love is lost, your ghost is found" Adele, Turning Tables, Callie/Arizona Thanks so much for always sharing your time and talent! Very appreciated.
It's been a while since I thought about their final break-up so I went back to watch 11x05 to write this - and oof, it was hard. 💔 It still makes me sad to think about how it ended but there was something cathartic about writing this. I hope you like it. 😊

It’s not the first time that Arizona has shown up at the house.
Last week, she was looking for a medical journal she had left behind. On Friday, she needed a dress from the back of the wardrobe for a fancy dinner she was attending with Herman over the weekend. Tonight, she is returning Sofia’s new plush monkey, insisting that she won’t settle without it – despite the fact that their daughter is fast asleep in bed.
No matter how the visits start, they keep ending the same way – with the brush of a hand or the sweeping of hair from eyes.
A step forward, closing the gap between their bodies. A kiss – and then more.
Callie watches Arizona’s chest rise and fall as she sleeps beside her. Her tousled hair splays across the pillow, her naked body curled against Callie’s. Her mouth is turned upwards in a small smile, her lips twitching every now and again. There is a peacefulness between them that transports Callie back to those early days when they were still getting to know each other.
She misses those days and how simple it was to be in each other’s company. It hasn’t been like that for such a long time; not since the plane crash really, no matter how much they tried. And they did try, so hard, to make it work – until it didn’t any more.
The break is permanent this time, the divorce papers being drawn up by the Torres family lawyer. She hasn’t told Arizona that part yet, doesn’t want to fall into another argument with her when they have reached an impasse. Instead, they keep falling into bed with one another.
But it can’t last.
Arizona stirs, her eyelids fluttering as she wakes from her slumber. Bright blue eyes look up at Callie, soft and loving.
Callie’s chest tightens as she digs deep to strengthen her resolve.
“It’s late,” she says quietly. “You should go.”
“I could stay?”
Callie shakes her head. “It’s not a good idea.”
“Calliope…”
Callie shudders at the way her name falls from Arizona’s lips. She used to love the way it sounded, but now it’s too intimate, and that’s not who they are any more.
“We can’t keep doing this,” Callie says. “Nothing’s changed and this isn’t good for either of us.”
Arizona opens her mouth but Callie cuts her off. “You should go,” she says again, resolutely this time.
Callie turns away, curling up on her right side and staring at the wall. Silence falls and she waits until she feels the bed dip and hears the rustling of clothes as Arizona dresses. Her skin prickles under the cool air as the comforter falls down the bed when Arizona stands up and walks out of the bedroom. Yet, Callie doesn’t move until she hears the front door close down the hallway. It is only then that she rolls over and stares at the empty space beside her.
She reaches out and trails her fingers over the sheets that are still moulded to Arizona’s shape. She shifts her body forwards so that she can bury her face in the pillow that still carries the scent of Arizona’s shampoo, inhaling deeply.
A tear falls down her cheek. It’s not the first time that Arizona has shown up at the house, but today was the last time.

Safe & Sound...
You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now...
In a world where people are classified as littles, caregivers and neutrals, Josephine Wilson stars her residency at Seattle Grace-Mercy West Hospital, while she tries to keep her past life behind her, but could it be as easy as a change of name and moving to a complete new city?

3. Doomed.
Jo’s night shift was going great, she was finally getting the hang of the internship, she was in Yang’s service, the woman was cold, but also a great teacher, that morning she observed as Yang sew a heart back together, all while she was allowed to apply suction and put her finger in to stop a small bleeding while doctor Yang got the instruments to fix it.
She made her way to the cafeteria, were she sat down with her fellow interns, she laughed and made jokes with them, they talked about cases and gave each other ideas on possible diagnoses for a thirty-year-old who was admitted with weird symptoms and had Stephanie’s head spinning around as most of the results were inconclusive.
She took a nap while she could in one of the on-call rooms, she was exhausted, and she knew that if she didn’t get at least a little bit of rest she was risking her little persona getting out and ruining her amazing last few hours.
That was not an option.

Merry Christmas, guys!
“Oh! Oh, right there! That's it... Ohh, God...” she moaned, as her body writhed on the living room couch. Her senses fully enraptured in the touches of strong, skilled hands.
It was a feeling she had long forgotten; and now she was growing dangerously addicted to it again.
“Shush, sweetie,” her companion admonished with a low chuckle. “You're gonna wake Sofia. Who knows what she'll think we're doing here”.
What they were doing was nothing spectacular, really. Just Callie massaging Arizona's foot after a long day at work.
A day that among other things had her standing at an operating table for ten hours straight.
It had put some strain on her today. Sometimes she found her foot hurting more than her residual limb. She wouldn't say there was an advantage to only having one foot. There couldn't ever possibly be. But she couldn't help but acknowledge that occasionally the superb prosthetic she wore and which was being well-maintained by Callie worked better than her own body.
“That girl sleeps like a rock. Just like her mother!” the blonde protested playfully, pointing out the adorable similarity the 12-year old shared with her birth mom.  Nothing in the world could rouse those two once they were asleep. Which on the negative side of course bore the problem of getting them out of bed on a school or work day. “And can you blame me?” she inquired about her inability to stay quiet just now. “Your hands are magical”. Truthfully so, as she could feel her muscles relax significantly under Callie's expert touches.
The brunette chuckled at the compliment. “Admit you missed them,” she said knowingly, and put some extra effort into her ministrations.
“Not gonna lie,” Arizona sighed in agreement.
Seven years she had been without them. Seven years without Callie's divine hands. Without having Callie this near. Without being where she knew she belonged.
Of course she had missed this. Had missed her! And now that they were back together, sharing all these absolutely mundane moments of life with Callie again... it was heaven.
And Callie could only agree.
They both had been with other people through the years. Had loved other people. And even lived with other people for some time.
But nothing, no relationship had ever felt as right as this.
And she was so overwhelmed to be back with Arizona. So grateful for this new chance and their courage to actually let it happen.
She wanted to climb the highest mountain and shout out to the the entire world that Arizona Robbins was hers once again.
That she was once again her...
Huh...
“I'm wondering something,” she announced as the thought grew in her head.
“What?” Arizona encouraged and opened her eyes to look at the other woman. The fascination of watching Callie in though had never lessened. She often felt herself amused and aroused at the same time at the intense look Callie had when mulling things over, and the tiny crease her eyebrows formed at that.
The intense look with the creased eyebrows turned towards her “What... What are we exactly? The two of us?” the brunette spoke in all seriousness. What were they to each other, or to other people, in their new relationship?
And just like that Arizona's amusement faded. Callie's deep thinking sometimes conjured up... Where had that question just come from?
“We're... we're a couple. We're in a relationship,” Arizona frowned and leaned up on her elbows to look up at the woman, who not only currently held her foot, but also constantly her heart in her hands.
They were not yet living together again. Though they spent most nights together at Callie's place. Spending everyday life together and all these wonderful moments little that you could only have with that special someone.
The special someone that Callie truly was for her, despite everything they had to go through long years ago.
And of course spending this new stage of their lives with the person that was most special to both of them – Sofia. Their daughter had taken this development like the most normal thing in the world. Like it had been clear to her that this would happen again one day. That her parents would be together again one day.
And as clear as things were to Sofia and herself, Arizona thought they were clear to Callie too...
That the state of their relationship was nothing to question.
“No. I mean, yes! I...,” Callie shook her head at the confusion she was causing. That had come out way more serious and insecure than she had intended. “Of course we are,” she assured, stroking Arizona's shin in reassurance. “I just meant, what are we to each other? Like... am I your 'girlfriend'?” she stressed the word.
“Oh,” Arizona raised her eyebrows, finally the true reason behind Callie's question dawning on her.
True, they were many years older now than when they had first started dating. So maybe Callie didn't want to be referred to as her 'girlfriend' anymore.
“Well, you wanna be my middle-aged lady friend?” Arizona joked in mischief.
“Okay, that was enough foot rub for you,” Callie declared mock-offended, and dropped the extremity in question unceremoniously into her own lap.
“Hey, I'm sorry,” the blonde quickly apologized, sitting herself up fully, while Callie cleaned her foot as well as her own hands from remnants of massage oil. Arizona gained a bit of relief from the brunette's exaggerated pout. Because it showed her that she was not really miffed. Or if so, at least only a tiny bit. “I personally like calling you my girlfriend,” she argued.
Of course considering they had been married already, referring to each other as 'girlfriends' once more might at first seem strange. However, right now it was what they were, as far as conventional dating terminology was concerned.
“I could call you my partner, but that sounds like we're running a business together”, she grimaced, and Callie agreed. “But if you like it better, I'll gladly refer to you as my Care Bear, my Cuddle Monkey?” she tried and relaxed all the more when Callie smiled at this.
“Cuddle Monkey, huh?” Callie wondered, looking into Arizona's twinkling eyes.
“If that's what you like,” Arizona repeated.
“Okay, then you are... my Baby Blue Eyes,... my Sweet Cheeks,” she smirked, the back of her left hand moving up to track just those features of Arizona's pretty face. “My... Honey Buns?” Callie went on, knowing they were steering away from the intention of her original question, but this was fun.
“Oooh!” Arizona grinned at the implications of the last one. “Wait, wait, I know... my Kitty Kat,” Arizona tried terms herself, while busy grinning at the their affectionate and dorky attempts. “My Fluff Muffin...”
Callie guffawed at the last one. “Oh, my God,” slapping Arizona's leg affectionately.
At this the blonde couldn't resist and leaned in to kiss the amused cheek tenderly.
“Please don't call me 'Fluff Muffin' in public,” Callie lived out the rest of her chuckles and rested her head against Arizona's.
That was when the blonde remembered that they were looking for a term to use with other people.
“Well, how about 'My woman' for that purpose?” Arizona suggested and looked at the brunette expectantly.
“'My woman',” Callie let the word roll off her own tongue. While some people might perceive it as offensive using this to refer to your significant other, she'd actually prefer it over 'girlfriend'. May it be because it almost came close to another special term.
“What?” Arizona wondered intrigued, seeing that little flicker on Callie's face.
And Callie startled at the blonde's perception, having hoped Arizona wouldn't notice.
But then again they had known each other for over ten years. So, Arizona could read her like a book. “I...,” she began, almost not bringing herself to form the words. But Arizona's warm eyes and gentle dimples made her proceed with what was only the truth. “I always thought 'my wife' sounded beautiful”.
There.
There it was.
That fleeting thought that had crossed her mind for a second, maybe two.
It was a natural thing, considering what her and Arizona had been before.
But was it something they should ever be again?
Considering everything the thought of them as a couple alone should make them run.
And apparently Arizona had exactly that thought as she moved away from her, and looked about to fall off the couch in attempt to do so.
“Wait, d-don't go,“ Callie blurted, trying to stop her from running. Fearing she had just thrown everything they had rebuilt in the last years to the wolves.
“Not going,” Arizona reassured, as her hand reached an item on the floor. “I just feel like I want to wear some pants for this”. She pulled the piece on without putting her prosthetic on, indicating that she really was not planning on leaving.
“Okay,” the blonde exhaled deeply as she sat back up and faced Callie with a gentle and sincere look, and spoke softly, “Do you... Do you mean it?”
Callie gulped, as she pondered the question and how to reply.
As she wondered what she wanted her own answer to be.
As she wondered what Arizona might want her answer to be.
Did... was this something that Arizona wanted to be to her? Her face was so unreadable to her right now.
God, what had she just steered them into?
“I... do you want me to mean it?” she stalled.
“I... I'm,” Arizona stammered, most apparently unsure what to reply either. “Do you want me to want you to mean it?” she retorted. And despite the tension they both felt right now, the prospect of this game of avoiding an actual answer never ending made them both laugh wholeheartedly.
Callie slapped her hand onto Arizona's thigh and used the other to wipe her tears of laughter from her eyes.
And Arizona sat and watched her through her own joyful tears.
Finally the blonde clasped the hand on her thigh with both of hers. “Listen, Calliope,” she said lovingly, steering the conversation back to the elephant that had stumbled into the room. “I... I loved being your wife. I loved our marriage. The pride of being able to introduce you, this amazing woman, as my wife to other people. And...,” she sighed, “I hated how it all ended. That we hurt each other so much. That we weren't able to look at each other without disdain. And that was one of the most awful experiences in my life”.
She saw how Callie let her head sink and quickly continued.
“But I love the idea of us. Of experiencing all these moments with you, no matter how important or small. And I want us to have so many more, years, decades, heck, centuries together, alright?” she reassured.
“Yeah,” Callie smiled softly. She herself wanted nothing more than to grown old and wrinkly with Arizona. Cherish all the moments that could be ahead of them.
And maybe they should leave it at that.
Maybe they should do without labels and just focus on honoring what they had.
Hopefully decades of joy and love ahead of them.
Just when she had almost ended that topic for herself, Arizona surprised her, as she continued, “But I'm not saying no, you know”.
“What?” the brunette raised her eyebrows, not sure if she had understood correctly.
“I mean, not now. Because I think it's too early. ” she argued and Callie nodded in agreement. “But maybe in a year or two, we could talk about it again,” she promised. “Because it's not a horrible thought, per se. It's a thought that makes me grin with anticipation,” she confessed and did just that. “I just think we should give it time... Sound good?”
“Sounds perfect,” Callie signed deeply in contentment. Her fears of having ruined their new start by one scarily beautiful thought turning into delightful excitement.
“Besides for now...,” Arizona added with a look that soon made Callie excited for something else, “I like being your 'girlfriend'... or being your 'woman'...or, heck, Honey Buns. It's pretty, uh, it's pretty hot,” she grinned, as she casually climbed into Callie's lap.
“It's definitely hot,” the brunette agreed, as her hands instantly sought out the blonde's honey buns. “Come here,” she leaned up, desperate to taste some of that hotness. That fire and sass that had always been there with Arizona more than with anyone else she's been with.
And wife-y Arizona would never lose any of that. She knew from experience.
There were stories from their marriage. Stories you'd never believe if you only knew Arizona casually. Naughty stories that made her horny just thinking back on them.
Stories she would never let anyone else know, but was looking forward to fill an entire imagined book series with.
“What's that grin about?” Arizona asked challengingly, looking down into Callie's amused face.
“Think we can agree that you didn't really need those pants?” the brunette wondered, nestling at the waistband, ready to start writing.
The blonde chuckled at the welcome implications before leaning down and kissing her cheeky Fluff Muffin. “Play your cards right”.
