Hi yes hello pls talk about your Linda is deaf AU. 👀 I am v v curious.

Awwwwww! You wanna know about my AU?? 🥺🥺🥺

*Cracks knuckles* Time for me to yell about an AU literally no one asked for (I don't how I even got this super random idea in the first place, it just kind of happened).

But anyway, the gist is that everything's the same, except Linda was born with some sort of ear condition that's affected her hearing ever since she was born. For quite a few years, her hearing was still passable, and she could get by--especially in her younger years, her hearing was actually almost on par with a normal person's. But by the time she turned around 17, her hearing got significantly worse, and she became deaf.

She began wearing hearing aids, but hearing aids aren't perfect and can be quite uncomfortable. She's mainly relied on sign language and visual cues to get by, but because she's heard sounds before, she still talks quite a bit. Maybe not as much as in canon, but she's still the Linda we all know and love. She just can't hear.

Gloria refuses to believe that Linda has anything wrong with her hearing, for some reason. Gayle is actually quite kind about Linda's disability and has done her best to accommodate. She's still Gayle and is pretty terrible at sign language, but it's the thought that counts! And it leads to Linda getting super excited every time Gayle says anything correctly in sign language. Gayle even accompanied Linda to get hearing aids for the first time and helped pay for them, because Gloria is awful. Al just doesn't really know what's going on.

Bob is an even better partner than he is in canon. Yes, I didn't think that was possible, either, but it's true. When he and Linda met for the first time, Linda didn't reveal she was deaf at first, because she was afraid of what he would think. Hugo was actually accommodating, but he still made her feel strange about her disability. Like, he would make little comments that he didn't intend to be microaggressions but still felt like them. Bob eventually found out, though, and when he did, his immediate reaction was to try to learn as much sign language as he could to communicate with her in a way that was easier for her. And after years upon years of practice, he's basically become fluent and is really good at sign language. He found something besides cooking that he's proficient in! :D So of course he likes to brag about that.

--As mentioned before, Gene doesn't really know sign language, and basically never uses it. However, he does know one phrase: "More cookie, please" (this was just taken directly from the Hawkeye show but it's very fitting for Gene). He still uses this one phrase from time to time once the occasion calls for it. Linda finds it very endearing.

----Linda learned how to sign the entirety of I Love U So Much (It's Scary) by Boyz 4 Now. during the events of The Hauntening in Season 6, to get into the Halloween spirit. Tina immediately insisted Linda teach her how. Louise also eventually admitted she wanted to learn, especially because she was in a good mood after the family put in so much effort to scare her on Halloween for the first time. In fact, everyone was kind of impressed she was able to learn how to sign the entire song. Of course, when Linda began teaching them, Louise still vehemently denied her celebrity crush on Boo Boo.

----It's revealed in the Season 11 Episode The Terminalator II: Terminals of Endearment that Linda's dad, Al, uses hearing aids like Linda, but he just has them because he's old. In the episode, I imagine Bob making a comment about how being around Al made him appreciate Linda even more because he insists Al is somehow way more difficult to deal with when it comes to his hearing loss than she ever was.

--During the events of the song "Bad Things are Bad" in Wharf Horse (Or How Bob Saves/Destroys the Town) Part 2 at the end of Season 4, Tammy, Zeke, Jimmy Jr., Rudy, plus all the other kids who're talking to Linda, Gene, and Louise hold up signs while they're talking with the words they're saying written on them (such as "maybe you'll find him inside of this vase"). This is because Tina and Louise are the only ones there who even mildly know sign language (besides Linda, of course), so they wanted to make sure Linda understood what they were talking about, especially with how dire the situation was. She did appreciate the gesture.

--This doesn't have to do with the actual AU, but if you want to see a bit of the inspiration I got for this AU, definitely check out the deaf, Queer YouTuber Jessica Kellgren-Fozard, because she's amazing and deserves all the love. --During the episode in which Bob and Linda have their "snoring contest" (I think it's Season 8, Episode 12), Bob wonders if Linda is even able to hear their snoring, especially because she has to take her hearing aids out to sleep. She commented that while she mostly can't, she can actually hear it faintly, because of how loud it is. She also can very much feel the vibrations of his snoring specifically, which she says is very comforting for her. He didn't expect to find that so touching, but he does.

--Felix Fischoeder doesn't know sign language but pretended he did when he learned that Linda's deaf, to everyone's annoyance.

--Mr. Fischoeder just casually knows sign language, and was very casual about Linda being deaf (he was just like "oh, cool, that makes sense, you're not getting discounted on the rent though") and is actually quite enthusiastic about using sign language in front of Linda, because he's just like that, it's honestly a little sweet (though he's strangely averse to explaining the reasons why. Maybe he learned for illegal reasons somehow...).

--Teddy knows some sign language! He's definitely not fluent, but he does know an impressive amount for some reason I haven't come up with yet, and loves to show off his skills for Linda. Occasionally, Linda will actually catch Teddy and Bob having a conversation or two in sign language, even when they think she's not around. She finds it hilarious, and also surprisingly sweet.

--Speaking of her voice, she's practiced endlessly to have her voice be as clear as a deaf person's can be (because she knows how much easier it is to understand people when their voice is clear, she wants to make sure hers is clear for others), so she still sounds pretty similar to how she does in the show, with her even retaining her New Jersey accent. Everyone, or at least most people, has definitely noticed how clear and usually easy to understand the tone of her voice is. This was definitely helped by the fact she used to be able to hear in her youth.

And of course, last (not certainly not least) I have to once again share this lovely Commission surrounding this AU that @drawthethingdoppelganger made for me all the way back in March that I still treasure to this day. It takes place during Something Old, Something New, Something Bob Caters For You, and when the wind blocks out what the priest officiating Connor and Farrah's wedding is saying, their exchange for this piece goes something like this:

"Hey! At least I'm not the only one who can't hear this, right? Ironic, isn't it?"

*Chuckles* "Stop making me laugh when I'm so stressed, Lin."

Never late!! Thank you for sending in an ask, I like reading them :> and dw abt asking abt too many bc answering is cool (I should probably be the one apologizing for finishing this response late 😭) For Micah and Trevon @ceedeelamb posted a lot abt them and I was like "okay hm i see the vision." Like Trevon is pretty and at the cost of sounding shallow he should be shipped with someone if the world has any justice. We all know Stefon is pretty but let’s give his brother some love ok. Bc he too is a gorgeous gorgeous girl who is also prone to bouts of manic behavior 🫶 And it seems like he and Micah have a good relationship (the part abt Micah saying he would pick up Trevon’s 2 am call kinda moved me I can’t lie). It’s cute, they talk shit to each other and play off each other well on the field. Seems like Micah is a little more obtuse and Trevon’s more perceptive and that works I think. If I had a nickel for every time I shipped two NFL players and something about 7-11 was involved in its conception I would have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice. Also Micah compared himself and Trevon to Jalen Ramsey and Aaron Donald... which I mean. Gay off. (rest in peace to that pairing btw i had a fic abt them) (never completed) (i do have a Trevon/Micah fic kinda sorta in the works) (it will probably be short but the vibes are decent)

Steph/Klay is one of those pairings where I don't read much fic but I ship it bc well. Who else would you ship yknow? They're so married it's insane 😭 like I probably got into the nba fandom too late to really be invested in the narrative but I can't imagine them with anyone else. Tbh I don’t read a lot of fic for them bc the dynamic isn’t something that draws me in but just know I support all of the Klephen shippers. I hope that they both stay with the Warriors for their entire careers 🫡

And then Travis/Pat is a valid ship. I support it in theory bc “quarterback + top pass catcher = decent ship.” I feel like I would like this ship more if Travis were younger, with all due respect (and also if the Chiefs didn't constantly beat my teams 😭), but like I still don’t mind it. I had an idea for like some vaguely melancholic short fic abt them with like a dash of yearning once but idk where I put that thought. Overall, good ship tho!

Dak/Zeke is great I hate they're divorced now 😔 there was a fic abt them that I liked but then it got deleted 💔 burning of Library of Alexandria moment. I really need to save more fics bc idk when they'll be saved. Anyways Dak is kinda mother to me so like. I miss their vibes together the nfl honors during their rookie year was kind of a goated vibe. And qb/rb relationships are underrated I feel, something abt a shared responsibility for two facets of the offense.

okay solis has more whitwo thoughts than i do i am very much in the like. im a fan of kanjoh spe especially blue, green oak, silver, and red but whitwo. I just...bw2 as a whole got done dirty narratively i think and it makes it so hard to read for me compared to the older arcs? i LOVE the basis of whitwo’s character i find her fascinating we love a girlfail esp after 5 generations of extremely competent characters. i love her! i just wish she had more of a chance to shine and that the writing actually like...explored her more, bc she ends up back where she started in a way? except she found n, so. there's that. also she got malva's delphox and thats one of the most recent mentions of a previous generation in spe lately?????

I have similar thoughts on the xy arc (not explored enough, feels rushed, they DID NOT FLESH OUT THE MENTORSHIP ARC WITH GREEN OAK AND IT MAKES ME MAD) but. yeah. anyways more pokespe takes asks pls I have so many

so i'm finally playing through the AQ, and i am about 90% done i think, on the 'finale' quest. i have thoughts. spoilers below, and i desperately need discussion.

so i haven't played for a number of reasons until today, and i managed to avoid spoilers for the most part. so if shit was already brought up, i didn't see it.

but basically, i wonder if neuvillete regaining power over fontaine and being sovereign again means that the other sovereigns will eventually come back into the picture. i refuse to believe that this is a one time thing. and with all the gnoses being given up, and the archons not having that much power, it means the sovereigns could eventually take a leaf out of neuvilette's book and follow suit?

i'm really curious about the (forgive my spelling) hexenzirkel. it's coming up a lot more lately, and i feel like it's definitely making a comeback. and i know gold has a huge role to play to come, but i'm wondering exactly how big of a part she has to play.

there's definitely a war brewing between celestia and teyvat, and focalors all but spelled it out for us. i can't remember what all the other archons have said about celestial, but she was the first one to all but say she's defying them.

also MY BOY CHILDE!!! i love him so fucking much, i actually clapped when i saw him. i really only need him from now on and i'll be happy (+ all my faves but still).

i am really excited to see what we'll see next with childe and skirk, and i'm really happy she's finally in the game proper. i am SO GOING to hop on my other blog and plot shit out with her, so CALLING ALL CHILDES, COME HANG OUT WITH YOUR MASTER.

for an au idea for chongyun, i had the wildest idea that chongyun could also be an abyss student. i have not let go of my legendary wishlist item, in which chongyun and childe work together and share the same general goal, and chongyun is probably also a disciple of skirks. nothing would make me happier than to finally, FINALLY get this plot going, because chongyun and childe i think would be the best of partners.

i think, honestly, that this managed to top sumeru's storyline. or at the very least, fontaine and sumeru are my current favorite archon quests, and i can just imagine it'll keep getting better from here.

for the critiques, i wish mona played a bigger part. she felt more like a cameo appearance just to appease the fans, she shoud've played a bigger role. i'd be super happy to find out later that she's a part of the hexenzirkel in the future, she would be powerful enough for it.

i also didn't remember navia's friends that died. i'm sad for her loss, but i genuinely didn't remember who they were until she fell into the water and saw them in person. and then it was an "oh yeah" moment, but nothing tear-jerking for me. the impact would've been a little better if we didn't have to wait so long to see her again.

if i have any other critiques i can't remember them right now. but these are my current thoughts FOR NOW, i'll definitely have more later.

more childe, pls. i hate that he was unconscious both times we actually saw him before he was yeeted. like let us fucking talk to him!

anyway. i did cry. it was good.

an oneshot with fem reader x danny pls

"...What? You want to go to the amusement park?"

Was that something people do on their first year anniversary? You didn't know. In fact, you were expecting him to mention something more cliche. Dinner and night out for example. Then again, the two of you were a bit limited with options, even with the freedom normal teenagers your age shouldn't have.

"Yeah, I think it's a nice idea," he nodded, "we didn't get to spend much time together the last time we were at Notte World and..."

You didn't miss how his grin turned bashful, which was what got you curious more than anything. Upon noticing your inquiring eyes, his expression becomes more open. "You know, I think that's where I began to like you."

Once, you opened your mouth then closed it. The logic of the situation didn't quite click for you. Not by a long shot.

"Didn't you like Crystal at the time?"

Daniel flinched, "It was an infatuation," he scratched his cheek, "it wasn't going anywhere anyway, we weren't even on the same page much of the time."

"Like you and I were?" You deadpanned but couldn't help the smirk from forming at the corner of your lips.

"It's not like that," he whined, "you're one of my best friends, and Crystal, well, we never managed to get close anyway, I don't know what it was but... she was always tense about my other body. He's as much me as I am me, I don't think it would've worked out."

Daniel's eyes glanced towards the sleeping body next to where the two of you sat. The taller Daniel was peaceful in his slumber, almost eerie in how lifeless he was. You didn't want to point that out, however.

"It's strange to think about it," you pulled up one of your knees and hugged it against your chest, "you know I don't like you because of the other you, but without him, there would be no us either."

There was no denying that this body had given Daniel a tremendous amount of advantage. But you couldn't say that it didn't give him any grief either. To think about everything that happened because he was a bit too good with copying techniques on top of an optimal body, you'd probably have a worse time coping with this if you weren't exposed to knowledge about gangs before.

It was stressful, yet relieving at the same time. You could only hope that he will continue to stay safe in the future.

Not that Daniel shared your sentiment at this moment. "Yup, which brings me to my current dilemma... how do you reckon the three of us would hang out together?"

"You make us sound like a whacky threesome," you gestured at the three presented bodies in the room, "me, you, and the other you."

"Sound like a happy triad," Daniel simpered, "don't tell me you haven't thought about it~"

Your eyes nearly rolled back into the sockets at that alone, "You're three seconds away from getting decked, little man."

"Ack, spare me, beautiful girlfriend!"

"I look... like an idiot."

Even with your unimpressed glare and the apparent pout, it didn't stop Daniel from capturing the moment with his phone. He had mentioned repeatedly that you were adorable like this, adorned by various accessories and items he got from the stalls.

"Don't say that, you look cute," with that, he pressed a kiss on your cheek and pacified you in time for the picture. Afterwards, you stood waiting for another ride while he uploaded the image to his Instagram.

"You decided to go with this in the end?" You gave him a one-over from top to bottom. While you didn't feel strongly about his preference, it did stand out as odd for him to make this choice. At least, to you anyway.

"Yeah, officially, I'm dating you," he answered, "Notte World is a crowded place, if we ran into someone, we wouldn't have to answer any intrusive question."

You had thought that was the case when he picked you up this morning. But hearing him putting it to words made the situation more ludicrous somehow. "What? Like that one time that I went out with the little you and someone told you that I was two-timing you?"

Daniel laughed softly, "Exactly like that," he put away his phone and reached for your hand, "now, let's get on the ride, it's our anniversary, we should enjoy this to the fullest."

"If by this you meant the Magic Passes we got, I fully intend to," as your fingers intertwined with his, you pumped up your free hand, "go capitalism."

"Man, if anyone told me back when I was in middle school that I'd be spending time with my beautiful girlfriend at Notte World using premium services," Daniel narrowed his eyes, "I'd be very sceptical."

After that declaration of his, the two of you went on to try a few more rides before setting down on the Balloon Ride. This late at night, the amusement park looked more like the magical palace it was advertised to be. For a moment, you could almost trick yourself into believing that you were transported to another fairyland. If only you could have a moment of complete peace and quiet.

...Not that your precious boyfriend caught the hint.

"I think it was during the ride that I began to crush on you?"

You frowned, "Seriously? That makes no sense. I didn't even do anything."

"Please stop trying to rationalize love," he chuckled, a bit exasperated, "I always thought you were pretty but it was when we were here together that it occurred to me you were more than a friend in my heart."

"Cringe."

Daniel completely lost his preserved composure then, cupping your face in his hand and squeezing down your cheeks with his thumb. "Honestly, you, come here!"

That was about as much warning as you could get before he attacked you with a barrage of kisses all over your face. All of your giggles and protests died out when his lips claimed yours. You melted into the gentleness of his embrace, previously playful but now sweet and soft.

It was only when the two of you approached the end of the ride that Daniel was willing to let you go. His eyes were warm with love then, and you must've looked the same because he couldn't resist another peck, short yet brimming with promises.

"Happy anniversary," he murmured against your lips, barely resisting the temptation for another one.

"Happy anniversary, Daniel."

All things considered, you could call this a nice day.

idk what kinds horror in a/b/o you mean, but i immediately thought about the subtle horror in this reylo fic called "Until You" by ever-so-reylo on ao3 (sorry if you dont like reylo. i dont. but i recognize reylo authors can be BEASTS and i just use cognitive dissonance if i need it) where it's like.. horror in the sense of how society limits and treats omegas and it's all very normalized. like the fic describes a marriage pathway, alarms on doors, omegas cant be present to hear the results of their own doctor appointment, how not getting pregnant is reason for annulment, and so on, and it's just so wildly subtle in how horrific itd be to live like this and i think the scariest part is, in parts of this world rn, there are places where women are treated very similarly to this. it's a one-shot and not super long, and Kylo/Ben/whoever isnt a dickbag or anything, he treats Rey well, and the author is good about making a distinction between "this is how it is here" and "that doesnt mean its good or ideal or warranted" which i think just adds to the horror kinda sorta, i dunno, i could see you having fun writing about a similar kinda world

regardless, id love to hear more about how youd wanna add further horror to a/b/o, bc what i was talking about was Handmaid's Tale-adjacent (not that i like Handmaid's Tale bc the author's a fucking terf and also, m'am, that IS how the world is like for many woc in various parts of the world, it isnt "even more horrifying" having it happen to white women too jfc idk if it counts as "apocalyptic" if its happening here and now and no one seems to care tho; but you get what i mean when i name-drop it however. anyway. i digress) and im curious if you mean in a monster-fucker way or sex pollen way or what, i find the concept of a/b/o + horror fascinating so, again, id LOVE to hear more pls ♡

now to get into this!! i’m gonna put this under a cut w some warnings just in case!!

also i think this is very fascinating that i mentioned horror and your mind jumped to what is essentially feminist horror! not a bad thing—just something observed!!

i personally read a lot of horror outside of fanfiction and i read a lot of feminist horror specifically. or i see or have been apart of plays/theater works/etc. that feature feminist/gender horror in various ways. i write short stories that are not fanfic about this topic as well, so with fanfic, i tend to avoid this a great deal! it’s an incredibly heavy topic and for a whole year last year, i had surrounded myself in it (and acted in shows where stage violence was enacted on me by men, acted in roles where i was often in distress because of male characters, acted in emotionally straining and difficult scenes) and realized i was actually…very drained. and learned what i liked to see in these stories and what i thought was needless violence against women reiterated again and again as torture porn of some kind. but long story short, fanfic was a reprieve of that for me!!

(i know you’re thinking—but cielo! you seem to love yandere content! and you are right! but i think all my yan content i enjoy is seeped in a warped love rather than a gendered violence. not that both can’t exist. it’s sticky.)

more than that, i am also interested in a/b/o that breaks gender constructs and dynamics in ways and is not just an afab omega enduring societal and personal violence!

the horror i was mentioning more i think had to do with body horror, possession (as in, almost…demonic. spiritual.), etc.! romance as a horror. (“but the horror? the horror was for love”)

blood lust being tied to heats/ruts. an omega, feverish and in heat, slick with blood and wild eyed. some romantic cannibalism with the way a bite is for claiming. it’s vampiric. it’s a devouring.

it’s a conjoining. a possession. two souls being forcibly twisted together. the horror of having only one true mate that you cannot choose. that is, for better or for worse, only yours. the horror of not just being yourself anymore, but someone else and vice versa. your uncontrollable “other half”.

sublime heats/ruts where you cannot tell what is real or not, shaky snapshots of mind melting ache and pain, only relieved by one person. hallucinations or ailments that come from deeply lonely and isolated omegas and alphas. nightmares when it reaches a fever pitch.

omegas with needle sharp teeth and so much hunger that need to feed and take relentlessly from alphas. omegas and alphas with eyes that glow in the dark and watch too keenly.

rituals where heats/ruts are watched, the horror of bareness and vulnerability. the horror of being an animal in a human skin. of your own desire or pleasure.

also just the horror of being dependent on someone. of needing someone so greatly you’ll be sick with it. the horror of being powerless to their love. the horror of their power over you. or yours over them.

the twisted care. i am interested in strange/more uncommon dynamics; alphas who are nurturing and motherly in awful ways. who hand feed and coddle and smother. omegas who are possessive and violent towards other alphas or omegas.

i just think there is A LOT that could be played with. thought of. messed around with.

i also think we don’t see enough historical au with a/b/o….i’m thinking also gothic-style. western man vs. nature. cowboy a/b/o…victorian…ancient civilization….etc.

anyways, i hope you don’t take this as me like scolding you or hating on what you’ve said in any way—defs not that!! i just had a different sort of horror in mind!! like i said, fanfic for me is all about romance at its core! it’s a reprieve and escape from the work and art that often is very serious and heavy (whether feminist/gender horror, capitalist horror, etc. etc.) that i usually spend my time creating or apart of in my day to day life! it’s deeply important work to me, just not something i wanna do here really!!

I swear this game took away my soul from the moment I downloaded it, the story? Visuals? Music? Content? All of them being so much for my poor heart to handle? Such a dream that much I can say :')

The way I can't also choose a favorite too 😭🩵 is mostly Rafayel but Xavier and Zayne are just too cute, they all express their feelings in such a different manner but still care so much and are connected to the MC? :")

i'm so fuCKING impressed by the graphics. like. listen;;;; i grew up in the day and age of GAMEBOY COLOR and like the ORIGINAL NINTENDO DS okay??? the fact that we can get this level of graphics on an ipad or a pHONE screen??? is insane to me.

i really wanna give props to the chinese VAs in this game like honestly;;;; they did such a good job and hats off to them as well as the original script writers for the story so far. i can see that a lot of thought went into this and I CANNOT BEGIN to express how good the chinese script is ???? like how nuanced ???? some of the interactions are??

the attention to detail??? one of my favorite things is during the homescreen interaction, when you do the "palm" thing with zayne, and at the end he WRAPS HIS HAND AROUND YOUR HAND and idk why that tiny lil gesture just.... GETS TO ME???

i am such an unloyal bitch in this game okay -- my current levels are 35, 36, and 37 LOL. like when i say the noncommiTTAL HOE LEPT OUT.

i think so far, i'm the most curious about xavier? i feel like bc they leaned into the whole Mermaid thing for Rafayel, they're gonna reveal that xavier is either an alien or like... at time-traveler or something LOL like it's gonna be weird but fun? i'm excited :D

synopsis; park areum is a journalist who happens to get her life involved with the mafia leader war and havoc, lee jeno. areum’s brother was kidnapped by the japanese mafia na yuta and areum was able to successfully get jisung back— however with a price that she betrays lee jeno by selling out important information of his base whereabouts. it’s been a year ever since that day and areum happens to get involved in the mafia world again.

areum shares a whole staring contest in her own reflection of the small mirror, checking the areas of makeup, hair and even the clothes. mark, her assistant eyes the beautiful woman in front in confusion. she wore pretty makeup today— something she usually doesn’t wear to work, anyways, hair was let down into straight waves. mark was even more surprised by the clothes she wore for work;

a black skirt, brown short crop blouse and comfortable boots. this whole thing screamed to ‘i have a date right after work’ type vibe to mark and boy was he curious and up in areum’s business.

“do you have some date going on after work?” mark asked, areum’s eyes widening before leaving the mirror reflection, putting the small makeup mirror down by closing it shut. the woman in front nervously smiling, “is it obvious?” areum tells.

“a little,” mark chuckles. “are you nervous? you look nervous somehow.” the boy truthfully told, and she was nervous. areum wasn’t sure how to react honestly, but all she is feeling is tiny butterflies fluttering by the sudden idea of seeing jeno after work. “I’ll be honest. i am very nervous.” areum said.

“is it your first date or something?” areum glances down embarrassed— she hasn’t even thought about it; but it really is her first date ever. she coughs, “my lawyer said i shouldn’t answer that question.” mark gently laughs, “hey! it’s okay, if you want tips just ask me.”

“you have tips?” areum exclaims. “tell me what to do, i really want this to go well.”

“just be yourself, areum.” mark rubs the back of his head knowing it will sound awfully cliché. “it really is the best tip, be honest. keep talking honestly, and i suggest going to get ice cream down the road from the workplace here. it has the best ice creams you’ll ever get.” mark beams forward.

areum does like the sound of the ice cream. “thanks mark,” she smiles with gratefulness. “i’ll get going now then, you can leave anytime, mark.” she grins. making mark leave twenty minutes early is a present bonus for his calming positive words. areum standing up as she’d get up and leave the office.

the black car invading areum’s eyes the moment jeno was standing in front. wearing an all black outfit with a turtle neck that perfectly sat on the broad shoulders, belt on the jeans with his hair lightly swept to the side, areum swore he looks good in anything— but if she were to be honest, she loves it when he is in all black. it somehow sets on the complexion of his skin and body so well.

jeno smiling at the sight of areum’s clothes— equally as beautiful but he wasn’t expecting her to look better than he ever imagined. she exceeds his expectations as per usual.

“wooeww,” areum let’s out in sudden manner, she couldn’t contain her words at all. standing in front of the taller, she lightly bit the inner cheek. she was the one checking him out intensely now. jeno grins ear to ear at the sight, approaching forward. “wow, what?” he replies back smartly.

“i mean-” areum blinking out of gaze, looking at the car. “I mean wow look at the time, let’s go!” she fronts, opening the car door, sitting inside it then shutting it close. jeno smirks, ‘she’s so stubborn,’ he’d think, although it was so obvious she was just shocked by how ethereal he looks.

jeno stepping in the car, he’d start to slowly drive out of the parking space, the car mrauvering straight. areum looking outside the window, she trails. “so where are you taking me?” jeno hums in a singing tone, “a secret.” he teasingly told.

areum pursing lips in a round pouting huff, she turns to look at the man driving out with his pretty veiny soft hands. “tell me what it is I’m so curious it’s killing me now.” he gave areum a short glance before turning back to the road. “it won’t be a secret anymore then, be patient areum-ah.” he said.

jeno opening the door for areum, helping the woman out softly before closing the car door; the woman was first to glance towards the night festival. euphonious squeal rolling off the lips once the doe-like bambi eyes were haunting the entrance. seeing upon the positive expression, jeno mimicking the happiness on his face once he saw that areum was indeed, excited and happy looking forward to this.

“oh my god, let’s go let’s go!” areum skips along the ground, jeno ghostly smiling. “wait for me, you’re going to get lost.” jeno tells as the woman was basically rushing in without him almost.

together the first place they had arrived at was a competition. areum grins grabbing a hold of the nerf plastic gun, jeno watching the girl in front become confident. “which prize do you want to win, areum?”

areum turning around looking at the variety of prizes, however only one caught her outmost desires.

“the brown dog plushie right there.” areum points forward, she leans down bending forth with the nerf pointing at the ducks that were moving motions. the goal was to shoot five down as their speeds casually increase, if you do that, you simply win a prize of your choice.

areum was staying focused as her eyes were shut close halfway, trying to shoot at perfect direction. as she pressed, firing the soft rampaging bullets forward, she had missed. the cashier person shaking head, “sorry miss, maybe luck next time, you only get once chance, unless you pay again for another.”

jeno saw the disappointing face on the woman, blowing air out, “ugh this is much harder than I anticipated.” areum ponders.

the man lightly pulls forward money to the cashier, humming. “that’s fine, i’ll pay for another try.” jeno turns to areum’s surprised eyes. “i’ll help you, let’s try again.” the way jeno slowly encouraged. areum nods in a short smile, bending down a little.

jeno came from behind as their hands interlocked by the festival nerf gun, aiming towards as jeno correctly moves areum’s hands in the correct position. the way their body were so close was not on areum’s mind, but she felt every inch of his body resting on top. their heads close, his lips right above the sensitive earlobe as jeno’s warm breathe hit.

when jeno saw the ducks lined up in position, areum felt the signal to shoot. all five ducks quickly falling at once, as jeno slowly pulls away with areum cheering with multiple soft jumps upwards.

“wooo!! that dog plushie is mine sir, you seen this.” areum shot and the cashier nervously laughs, he wasn’t expecting such tension to rise when jeno was helping out. he was way good with this stuff. areum letting go off the equipment, the stuffed dog toy was engulfed in a tight embrace now instead.

jeno saw areum approach with a cute smile. “thank you for sharing your talent,” she’d joke, the man scoffing as he wraps an arm around her shoulders. “you did it on your own, i did nothing.” he tells.

the two carried on walking until jeno saw a cat plushie on the side, he flints back, stopping on tracks. areum grinning when realising a cute cat stuff toy was on the front sales.

areum tugs jeno by the sleeve , “you want that cat?” she asked, jeno nodding without any hesitation. “yeah, it’s cute.”

“miss, i’ll take the stuff cat right there!” areum beams aloud holding the card to pay, the older woman laughing back. “alright miss, here!”

jeno looking in surprise when areum softly shoved the stuffed toy into his arms, his eyes lingering down to the cutest cat he possibly ever saw in his life. “areum you really didn’t have to—”

“shhhh,” a finger zipping the lips, jeno felt obliged to stay quiet as he was told by the woman. areum taking back the finger, the smiling kept on the face. “it’s my present for you. it sorta looks like you honestly.” areum tilts head at the stuff cat toy as she held her own dog stuff toy.

“the dog really looks like you honestly,” jeno said back too, areum grins, until a sight of a rollercoaster on the behind scenes was seen. “oh my gosh jeno..”

the voice trails in a shocking tone. jeno’s happy expression faltering into confusion, “yeah?” jeno would ask wondering what’s happened. areum pulling jeno on the side looking up at the spot from behind.

“we need to go to that rollercoaster.” areum demands in excitement of rush, jeno swore they haven’t had anything sweet yet but the woman was practically a ball of sunshine that was hyperactive on sugar rush ten times fold.

somehow when areum was dragging jeno into the rollercoaster, the man had confidence to the max. the two made a bet, whoever ends up getting scared the most will pay for dinner tonight. jeno was arrogantly confident to the point he said he won’t scream the slightest. but when the rollercoaster swung in the air possibly fifteen feet in the air or more, he swears he saw heaven flash before his eyes begging to take him to his next life.

areum was the most calmest person on the rollercoaster, in fact she was cheering in excitement with a wide giddy smile of a five year old at a candy shop! jeno was the opposite, he was balling tears in eyes out of the cold face slapping air and the fear entering the body.

when the rollercoaster ended, areum came out walking perfectly fine, but trailing behind the shorter latter, was jeno wobbling side to side as he held his knees. he had a moment with the ground, falling on his knees as he made praying palms thanking the skies for allowing him to survive such monstrous moments he has ever experienced.

“jeno are you crying?” areum said with concern and disbelief, jeno sniffling. “no! i’m not!” he quickly told getting up from the ground as his arm wiped the wet eyes. he was crying over rollercoasters! a mafia, someone who deals with dangerous situations, yet can’t handle a single rollercoaster.

areum’s lips pucker in a soft smile. “awh you are, come here, need a hug before you have to pay for dinner?” the woman took the entire advantage of this situation, teasing the man forward as her hands lift to touch jeno’s face. the man groans backing away from the actions, “come on don’t tease me,” jeno whines.

she had a man whining for her. areum couldn’t think this was a fever dream but in fact it wasn’t. she lightly brings jeno into a soft hug petting his head. “oh my, mr mafia is scared of rollercoaster.” areum whispers, jeno immediately tucking areum away from him. “yeah yeah whatever,” he trails.

“what do you want to eat?” jeno asked as the conversation changed, areum smirking; she will remember this moment forever and she won’t let jeno live this down. “hmmm, ice cream! there is an ice cream shop nearby.” areum exclaims. mark better have picked good desert options.

jeno and areum were more than willing to have ice cream outside the festival, slowly walking there side by side until they arrive at the destination. areum taking the cone ice cream with simple vanilla with chocolate flakes on top. jeno took the chocolate ice cream with strawberry on top.

the two walking side by side on the half empty calm city streets, areum pulls away from her ice cream humming. “it’s so good, want a taste jeno?” areum lingers forward, jeno turns to areum as his eyes fell on areum’s soft lips.

his thumb reaching to wipe the corner of the lip that held small ice cream on it, later licking his thumb as he nods. “your ice cream is great,” jeno tells, areum felt cheeks heating at the actions as she gently slaps the edge of his arm. “yah i meant taste my ice cream from my hand!” areum looking around shyly. jeno smirks, “you didn’t specify” he quickly shot back catching areum in a prance of surprises.

he was right. she didn’t specify for him. areum sighing she held jeno’s wrist with the ice cream, “let me try yours then.” jeno hums with a nod, showing areum closer.

watching aruem tasting forward, she pulls back with a slight squeal of approval, it must’ve been a good ice cream considering areum’s eyes lit up in an instant.

“wow yours is also really great.” areum said, jeno humming with a nod of agreement. “it’s only nine right now, where do you want to go?” areum would ask as the night sky was getting darker, jeno looking around, he really didn’t want to let go off areum yet and say goodbye.

“i don’t have anything in mind right now, what about you?” jeno would ask. areum looks up thinking a little as they walk wide by side on the streets.

areum looks over to jeno. “want to come over to my house for ramen?”

jeno accepted areum’s offer plus her offering to stay over as well! jeno was given fresh pair of white shirt and sweats that belongs to jisung but he hardly wears anyways; jeno wasn’t expecting to return to this house again since he was here he told himself he won’t ever see her again because he didn’t want to get attached— but clearly not. jeno choosing to stay with areum, not giving up on the woman he holds dearly to his heart.

areum was thankful to jisung who was over at his girlfriends house instead. thank god she picked the right day today and not tomorrow.

humming as she stares at the cooking ramen, jeno making his way into the kitchen where areum stood with an apron on, he smirks. “wife material much?” he said teasingly. areum grinning as she stirs the ramen on the stove cooking. “oh yeah? well then, Lemme tell you a secret.”

jeno hums leaning forward to hear it. “if you were my husband, best believe you would be living of eating ramen.” areum said seriously, jeno shaking his head. “ay don’t lie, you know how to cook other dishes.”

areum scoffing, “like what?”

“crepes are one thing. I remember you cooking them for breakfast at the cabin. ” jeno trails, “erm, but yeah you can cook I’m sure.” he replies with an uncertain laugh. “you sound less convinced now, jeno” she lightly grins, areum turns the stove off as the pot of ramen was moved on the living lounge, where the two sat in front of the tv on with a kdrama playing.

jeno curls into the blanket that covers around the two closely, taking a long stash of noodles into the cup, slurping on them quickly. areum hums at the warm noddles in her mouth, blowing out for air, “hot hot,” areum whines a little.

“eat carefully,” jeno slightly scolds, passing water bottle towards areum. the woman takes the water as she drank it, calming down a little. areum hums, “it’s good though right?”

jeno nods with a quick hum, eating more of the delicious warm ramen. “yeah, told you. wife material.” he’d say again.

“only thing i know how to cook properly except for crepes.” areum tells, watching the tv with the drama playing.

jeno took the time admiring the living lounge, lots of photos with their family around hung by the wall and fireplace. he tilts his head humming at the sight of areum, child jisung and their parents at the family portrait. “your mother is beautiful.” jeno would tell softly, areum giving him a pocker face before turning to the family portrait in front, finally understanding what he meant.

she softly smiles, slurping the ramen. “thank you, im sure she would’ve liked to hear it.” areum said as jeno gave a soft gaze. “do you miss them often still?” he softly trails, areum tilting head. “yeah but, it’s a lot easier than before, let’s say that.”

“do you miss your mother, jeno?” areum would ask back, jeno nodding in response. “yeah, but it’s easier than before.”

areum places the chopsticks down as she leans head onto jeno’s shoulder, hugging the boy this way. “hmm, can i tell you something?” areum would ask. jeno nodding as he shifts backwards, leaning in relaxation position as the two were cuddling now. no longer eating the ramen on the table. the kdrama tv playing softly at the background.

“you looked so hot in that outfit earlier,” areum boldly tells as she bit the bottom lip, looking up at jeno. the man felt his own stomach twist and turn hearing those quiet darkly spoken words.

jeno maintaining eye contact with her dimmed lustful eyes he leans down, kissing the lips softly. areum however was the first one to deepen it, creating it to go more steamy than soft. he was pulled down on the couch with areum on top of jeno, greedily asking for his tongue into the makeout.

jeno pulling away temporarily, areum gently pecking forward his lips. the taste of ramen hinting between them. “wait wait” jeno whined out, feeling areum kissing down the jawline, going back to kissing on his lips. “yeah baby?” areum softly tells.

the nickname, immediately set jeno into some sort of epiphany; a sense of accomplishment, something he always wished to hear but never knew he needed until now. a small soft curses of ‘fuck’ heard by areum from the man underneath her practically gaining high sensitivity.

“you’re teasing me, stop” jeno tells, looking down at areum. the woman grins, “if you tell me what you want then maybe i will stop.”

jeno sighing out, “i want…”

“I want the water beside you.” jeno suddenly tells reaching his hand out, areum scowling. she reaches for the water bottle , handing it to jeno. “thank you areum,” he teasingly tells, watching the woman go off jeno. so much for wanting to dominate him.

jeno sits up drinking the water, he had this entire smug expression written on it and areum couldn’t help but think how much she wanted to wipe it off. jeno leans closer to areum whispering, “call me baby again though, kinda liked it.“

she’d purse her lips into a thin upside smile. “hmmm nooo,” she tells and jeno smiles wrapping arms around the woman pulling her down to lay on the couch together, curling in each other bodies. “you’re so stubborn,” jeno would say, kissing areum’s head.

“isn’t that what made you fall for me?” areum replies back with a smart smile, she got him there. jeno lightly laughs, “no comment there.”

areum sighs in content happiness, wrapping arms around jeno as they were cuddling into the warmth with the blanket over them.

a relaxing silence between the two surrounds them, setting a peaceful calming reality for the two in each admirable warmth and space.

“thank you so much for today, i had fun.” areum softly tells. jeno grins as his eyes close, his hands around her staying still. “me too areum, thank you for being with me.” jeno murmurs.

the two fell asleep in each other’s arms as their plushies were seated next to them side by side.
