May I request a reaction headcanon for Luffy, Law, Kidd and Shanks with their fem!s/o (reader) acting more clingy than usual, giving more kisses, etc or pulling pranks to gain their attention?

A/N: Wow omg that such an honor! Hello to you and your sister and welcome!!! It's been a bit since you sent this, I hope you are still enjoying my content :)

Luffy

Luffy isn’t the type to comment on the fact that you’ve been clingy more frequently, but he sure does LOVE. IT.

He’s such a clingy person anyway, and his love language is 100% physical touch and quality time, so he is thrilled you are giving him more attention

This man is a head empty kind of guy, so he doesn’t even question why you might be doing it. He just loves that you are. And he always returns it back to you tenfold.

Luffy feels that if you’re acting that way towards him, it just means you’re super comfortable with him to do it and act silly with him. He loves that he has someone who can always match his energy

He’s also not afraid of PDA. He loves showing you off and letting everyone know that you are his. He gets his signature goofy grin whenever you kiss him in public or hug him or hold his hand. He’s so obsessed with you and he never wants to let you go.

Law

Law loves his crew. He loves his family, and he loves you. He really does. And he likes to show it in simple ways. He doesn’t like to make a show of his love, and he tolerates it from others, but he ends up more embarrassed by it all than feeling loved by it.

And so that’s what he does. He tolerates it. He doesn’t snap at you, but he doesn’t react to it much either. He thinks if he ignores it, then it might go away.

Pranks though, they irritate him in the moment. He’ll walk into a room and get drenched in sea water, and he’ll scream at his crew while you and Penguin snicker in the corner.

Does he enjoy it overall? Not really. But he does like how happy it makes you, so he lets it happen, and he gets a soft little smile watching how happy it makes you.

It doesn’t cross his mind that you might have a reason for doing it. He figures if there’s something going on, you’ll talk to him about it.

Kidd

This man is an absolute fiend. I think at first he would be irritated with it (just because he’d be confused, and he gets irritated with things that confuse him), but he would quickly turn it into a competition. He’d say something quippy about it, like “If you’re going to start giving me more attention like this, you better be able to keep up with it”.

You give him 12 kisses one day? You better give him at least 12 the next day. If not, you’ll hear about it, and he’ll claim you don’t love him anymore, and he’ll whine about it all day long.

He might even turn it into a competition with you. “Oh, you gave me 10 kisses? Well I gave you 15, so I guess I love you more and I have the cold hard facts to back it up babe.”

He loves the way you love him, and it really boosts his ego when you’re extra clingy like that, so he tries to love you back just as much to show you how important you are to him too.

Shanks

Shanks loves PDA. He loves goofing around with you, and he loves to keep you close. On the ship or in public. He loves making people sick of you two. So when you start to be overly affectionate, he falls in love with you even more.

He’s smart enough (unlike all the other idiots in this list) to do a quick self evaluation and make sure you aren’t acting out or changing things up because of something he did. Has he been ignoring you lately, or making you feel unloved? Do you know how important you are to him? When’s the last time he bought you flowers, or took you out to a romantic dinner? Better do it all again now, just to make sure you’re not feeling insecure in your relationship.

He holds you tight and returns all of your kisses passionately, making sure you know through words and deeds how important you are to him.

One day he even asks you point blank if something is bothering you, just to make sure the lines of communication between you two stay clear. He doesn’t want something stupid to be bothering you when he could easily put it to rest. If something is bothering you, he gives you plenty of love and reassurance. But if something isn’t, he’ll shower you in kisses anyway and say something like “Well, I like this new level of affection you’re bringing to the table. I guess I’ll have to up my game, huh?”

set-up: y'all idk, im just in the one piece vibe today (i say, 456th day in a row)

warnings: slightly suggestive for zoro and sanji's part

luffy:

physical touch!!! - omg i dont even need to explain this. - this man has NO CONCEPT of personal space. - doing your makeup? okay just sit on his lap when you do it (not even in a sexual way my lord get a grip). looking at the sea dramatically? okay hold his hand anyways while you do that. eating lunch? yeah he's touching your calf with his toe like a weirdo. - but he is a weirdo we love - this isn't exclusive to just you. the entire crew is his tree and he is a fucking koala. a himbo koala who you love. - but ever since you started dating, yeah it is quite hard for him to leave your side. - you entertain it but there are instances like this: "luffy please get off my arm, i cannot wash the dishes like this" this usually leads to him saying okay and rearranging himself to hold you from your waist as he stands behind you. - as much as you love it, there are moments when you just cannot anymore but king luffy can make you change your mind with his fucking grin. - also no need to mention that luffy is 100% the most emotionally mature/understanding of the crew, so he will give you space whenever you need it. - he just thinks it's better if you cry in bed about something when he's nearby bcause "what if you realize you're crying cause youre hungry?? then i will have to fetch you meat. i should be around for that." "luffy. i never cry because i'm hungry." "you don't know that. what if you were hungry all along??" - you gave up. - actually its quite nice to hold someone's hand when you cry. you quite like it. - just let him hold your hand when you're going through your bi-weekly mental breakdown, he appreciates you <3

words of affirmation!! - i do see him as a hoe for words of affirmation. argue with the wall. i cannot hear you lalalala. - he has subconsciously decided he needs to be strong for the crew, for you, for himself. weaklings cannot be the worlds greatest swordsman, after all. - everyone on the crew appreciates him ofcourse, but it is almost routine for him to save them any time of the day (or even someone else for that matter) - so when (pre-dating) you absent-mindedly thanked him for catching a sea-king for dinner, he was stuck. - like physically stuck. homeboy was frozen. staring at you like a deer in headlights. - when you asked him if he was okay, he brushed you off and you didn't see him for the rest of the evening (not even for dinner). he wouldn't admit it, but he stuffed his head against a pillow and almost screamed. and then he grinned against the same pillow for the rest of the night. what the fuck was wrong with him. - post-dating you has since found his kryptonite. - he did the most basic thing? he showered for once? say thank you and watch as he fucking melts into the ground once and for all. oml tell him he looks pretty and he will probably go to his room and cry. (please tell him he's pretty.) tell him his training form is good, he is ready to become a malewife (doesnt even know what that is but he is ready.) - still refuses to admit his weakness though. - "thankyou so much for taking me out on that date. i had so much fun." he is blushing ear to ear, he is fighting off a grin, he is shrugging but in reality he is fighting off a stupid dance move, "it was no big deal" "yes it was. thank you. i love you." yeah, he now believes he loves you 169% more than he did like 2 seconds ago - turn him into a bottom in one second by appreciating him during sexy times. (v. v. fun). he becomes a flustered, blushing mess. - appreciate him. he blushes. you get a good view. win-win situation tbh

sanji:

acts of service!! - he might be smooth with words and always ready to pull off a grand gesture to show his love for you but you make him toast when he's sick and he is asking you to marry him - actually he always asks you to marry him but like this is special to him - please give him a cookie and watch him fall on his knees i beg you - it isn't even limited to him. he sees you help chopper carry something particularly heavy or sees you taking care of nami when she has a cold and he is ready to wife you up again. - it could be the smallest of things and it would still make him fall heads over heels in love with you once again - you found his lost sock for him? heart eyes. you brushed and braided his hair as a joke when he was laying in your lap? his head is spinning. you bought him a tie to match one of his suits? he's practically foaming at the mouth. - whatever you do, no matter how small, expect 10x more in return "you did this for me?" (referring to the smallest of things) "yeah" you shrug "i am gonna make you doughnuts now." "you don't have to-" "no. i will." - he is up before the sun rises, making you doughnuts now cause yesterday before sleeping you laid out clothes on the bed for him - just such a nice human being i luv him - but if you do plan to pull a big gesture like taking him out on a date, be ready to be wined and dined and then some more (he has quite strong legs, he can stay on his knees for hours if you know what i mean) - anyways just like love him and buy him a perfume cause you thought he'd like it - he is now ready to die for you at 200x the speed he was before

Love Language - Vinsmoke Sanji

a/n: this is the first of the 'love languages' series im posting! ofc i had to start with my bbgrill idiot cook. slight warning that yes, this is ranked in the way i think sanji's ll's would be ranked. i've finished writing for the monster trio and i may or may not write one for usopp and nami too (and maybe robin? vivi? we will see.) anyway, enjoy reading! <;33

Acts of Service

This is Sanji's main love language. He loves cooking for the crew and most of all, you.

Given that he's a gentleman at heart, he goes above and beyond to show his love in this way.

Beyond cooking, he often offers you a glass of chill water whenever the sun's glare is too intense.

On top of that, he refuses to let enemies lay their hands on you in battle (even when you're perfectly capable of defending yourself). You could win a battle without so much as laying a finger on your opponents, and vice versa, with Sanji around.

There is so much more I could list under this.

He doesn't like receiving acts of service. He believes you should live an elegant life in the world without so much as lifting a finger (even if you're a pirate.), especially not for anyone else.

Physical Touch

Your touch is his lifeline! He can't get enough of you.

You're almost always there to accompany him whenever he cooks.

You learn that the best place to watch him cook from are the counters, because he'll find any excuse to pass by you and lovingly squeeze your hips or your waist, or kiss your shoulder, neck, cheek, lips, or your forehead. Whichever is most accessible as he casually passes by.

When he's not cooking and lounging with the crew, he likes resting with you on a hammock, limbs tangled together like a messy bundle of rope.

He likes running his fingers through your hair, but he also likes having your fingers in his hair. He goes crazy for you either way.

Words of Affirmation

He's a very vocal person.

He constantly tells you how pretty he thinks you are and how lovestruck you have him. He never fails to tell you just what's on his mind.

Whenever he tries to teach you ways how to cook, a string of affirmations endlessly leaves his lips to help encourage you.

On the other hand, Sanji is used to compliments, but compliments from you just hit different. He'd go soft the moment a praise is uttered from your lips and he'd be like pudding in the palm of your hand.

Quality Time

He loooovvveessss quality time.

Whenever he's cooking, he likes having you watching him. He'd explain to you every step in what he was doing even if you didn't exactly understand what most of it meant (He'd explain the terms to you like you're five. It's cute.).

He's practically fastened himself to you with a stitch. He rarely leaves your side and is always there with you (he may as well be your bodyguard), though he makes sure he doesn't suffocate you with his constant presence.

Giving/Receiving Gifts

Sanji loves to give gifts, though often gives gifts that have more effort than spent Berries.

He would pick a flower – hell, make a bouquet – while you're walking along a village and end up giving it to you at the end of the day.

He would absolutely write you a 10k worded, 1.5 spacing, Times New Roman font handwritten love letter expressing his love for you and still think that isn't enough to show you how much he loves you.

Alternatively, he's brought to tears whenever you gift him something. Whether it's something he wanted or something that just reminded you of him, he'd be very appreciative of it.

gender neutral readers. fluff. improper grammar. no uses of (y/n) or (name). established relationship. strawhat-coded reader. i tried to lean into luffys childlike personality without infantilizing him... tell me how good i did that please. is meant for opla!luffy but it can go for anime!luffy as-well. spoiler free

color coded text: luffy

physical touch: luffy is very touchy feely. he likes wrapping his entire body around you like a wet noodle just because he can and you're going to have to deal with that!! he loves giving you cheek kisses or small bites on your fingers, shoulders and chest but in a non-sexual way! he loves holding your hand and swinging it back and forth. he thinks is super fun and he'll do it really hard sometimes and make his arm loose shape and flail around in the wind.

acts of service: you could ask him to get a star out of the sky he'd do it!!! he'd do little things like get things off of shelves, grab something from your room or giving you a piggyback across an island but he'd literally do anything you ask him to without a second thought..well maybe be sides share his food, he'd have to think about it foe a second and then give you a piece. but fr he's big on helping you though, he likes doing things for you. and if you ever asked him why he dose he wanna help he'd be like 'because you need help' which translates to 'because i like being with you'.

quality time: you two spend alot of time together not only because you live on a boat together (with the crew ofc) but he also seeks you out when he's bored. downtime on the ship is v common because it can take weeks to get from point A to point B and thats where you come in. sometimes he takes you to the figure head and makes you tell him stories or talk about your thoughts. other times you just sit on the deck and sunbathe while he holds your hand it all depends really.

giving/receiving gifts: it doesn't take alot to impress him he's like a baby—easy to please! you could give him a fish & he'd wiggle it around before yelling at asking sanji to cook it for him. his gifts however are usually one of two things either— 1) it takes trials and tribulations to get or 2) it comes of as simple to someone from the outside looking in but it means alot to him no in between! like lets you say you want a apple he'd somehow fight a congregation of alligators to bring back 1 apple then he'd ask for a bite. ORRRRR he gifts you something like a drawing of you that looks rushed and childish with gears around it but it took him an hour—you watched him as he would go back and forth between looking at you foe a minute and scribbling and erasing on his paper. some might make fun of him for that but you of all people know that it means a lot to him that you have!

words of affirmation: he talks about you like you hung the moon and stars you could be a marine, a civilian, someone on his crew it doesn't matter. he'd tell everyone how he feels about you regardless if you're there or not. he never misses a moment to talk about you highly though his vocabulary is a little limited so he doesn't say things like "you're extravagant" or "i admire you." when he compliments you he says things like "you're so fun." and "i like you so much." again his words are surface level to those who don't know him but he really does think highly of you even if his words don't exactly reflect it but actions are louder than words anyway.

BUGGY HEADCANONS

Wrote this on a whim when I remembered how much I liked this guy 😎

Buggy stans, assemble!!

I love buggy and I don’t talk about it enough

but like he needs more screen time

he has a decent amount I just wanna see him more :)

onto hcs!

buggy is a guy who wants to be confident but isn’t so he fakes it but you can tell

at first he’s just as phony towards you but as time goes on he opens up to you

you try to convince him he can be himself around everyone, especially his own crew he but still thinks he has to put on a show

its what he does best afterall!

buggy is subtly physical affectionate, for example, resting his hand on your waist

or putting a hand on your head

him being more flashy would be giving you a big kiss

he dips you and makes a “mmmmwah!” sound so you know it’s for show when in public

other times he does it to be playful

Another grand love gesture he does is sit you on his lap or shoulder

the man’s got some good muscle so he can hold you not matter your weight 💗

He likes make a game or show out of a lot of things you do for fun

he won’t do it if it bothers you

but he makes you laugh so much how can you not like it??

buggy doesn’t really like anyone seeing him without paint/makeup on

he gets up like really early, around 4-5 to do it

he doesn’t even want you to see very often

he says he doesn’t feel ‘buggy’ without it

”well you said do anything possible to rent this place since we didn’t have enough money..*sniff* so we had to sell Richie” 😭😭😭

”well you said you were renting it out so they thought you needed it for a party or something..not for a date” *sniffles*

buggy was practically on FIRE 😂

all bro wanted was a romantic date

but instead he had to go search for a LION 🤦‍♀️

Well you spent the rest of your day tracking down the restaurant staff and richie

and trust me that was a hassle

Everyone was tired and ready to give up but cabaji kept begging and crying

eventually you found the restaurant staff!…..forming they’re own circus..with richie..who was also crying

you had to fight the staff to get richie back

and they were unexpectedly strong

yeah at the end of the day you and buggy were tired and went to be early

he keeps it in his notes never to ask his crew to help him with a date again..

i feel buggy would really like receiving massages

like back/shoulder ones specifically

rub some lotion in his back and that’s the ultimate way to calm a angry buggy 💗

he really appreciates when you do this

he’ll return the favor too

more likely to come in the form of gifts than another massage

but if you state that’s how you’d like to be repaid he wouldn’t mind at all

in fact he’d be quite good at giving massages

especially since he can simply separate a hand or too so he can continue to manage his crew 💖

buggy likes to put you in his acts

He teaches you everything he knows and is really proud of you when you impress the crowd or master a skill

he’s very supportive and patient in that sense

and when I say the word ‘patience’ is reserved for you I mean it

he prioritizes you a lot even if he can’t afford the L he’s about to take in order to impress you

refer back to the failed date where he couldn’t actually rent the restaurant

and don’t get me wrong buggy isn’t broke or anything

it’s just he gets expensive when pampering you

like buying you lavish resorts, cruises and any other thing you could possibly want

he thinks you higher than him, better.

And in a attempt to get you to stay he gives you reasons!

lavish dates! Comfort! Happiness and laughter!

a part of him thinks you’d leave if he didn’t do those things

that you wouldn’t love him for just him and that it must be for the show

later on in the relationship when he explains that’s how he feels and opens up to you

you’ll definitely reassure and correct him about your love for him

that you’d love him even if he was a bum, nobody and total loser

he tries not to tear up but he’s tearing up

btw if you don’t like being in the spotlight/stage

he doesn’t mind :)

will occasionally try to push you out of your shell—

“your a star baby! Your meant to shine!”

”people would love you! You should at least try!”

—but he won’t force you <3

he’ll give you a front row seat to his acts and look for you to see if your smiling/laughing during the big act/climax of the show

he definitely values your opinion way over other’s and a lot of the time even his own

even more so if your intelligent

he might ask you to at least be a volunteer for his acts even if you prefer to be in the crowd

and you accept sometimes, to make him happy 😊

or maybe you work backstage!

like on spotlight or curtains!

maybe you made the props, if your an artist you may have painted them!

He compliments you on it too!

"There you are." You yawn, ascending the stairs to the stern of the boat. Nami smiled at the sound of your voice, one hand idle on the helm as she examined her maps.

"I'm not going anywhere, you know." The early morning sunlight was soft against her features as she peered up at you. The wind blew stronger for a moment, and her free hand shot out to pin the map page on the nearby desk.

You lift one of your daggers― decorative, inlaid with polished stone, and heavy enough to act as paperweight. You place it on the upper left corner of the largest of the maps. "I know. Luffy would get you back."

Nami chuckled. After Luffy and the rest of Nami's boys had freed Coco Village from Arlong's crew, they learned about the girlfriend that Nami left at home. It didn't take much for them to convince their navigator (Nami wanted for you to come with them anyway) to invite you onboard.

"Oh, wow." She stepped back, watching you pluck up all sorts of things from your pockets to help pin the maps in place. Aside from the dagger, she also recognized a bracelet with a real citrine stone, and a glass vial of dried blue paint courtesy of Nojiko. "You never threw anything away, did you?"

"You said you liked giving me gifts," you lean back against the desk, protecting the rest of the maps from the wind. "So I'll keep every gift you give me."

Her eyes softened, a combination of fondness and understanding as she studied you. "You're very... you."

Your lips curl up in a small smile. "I love you too."

Nami reached out a hand, and you stepped into her arms, the top of your head barely reaching her chin. Her grip around your waist was more affectionate and confident than before. You lift your chin, nuzzling into her neck.

The scent of tangerines clung to Nami's skin. She must have checked on the garden earlier. You breathe in the scent of home, the scent of her, and your own arms wrap around her body a bit tighter.

After what felt like an eternity but was only actually a minute, an elegant male voice interrupted the peaceful creaking of the ship's hull. "Isn't that adorable? I've never seen you be so affectionate before."

Sanji was smiling up at you both from the foot of the stairs, bearing a tray in one hand. Two steaming cups sat on the tray. "Good morning to you two lovely ladies. Made you your coffee, as requested. For Nami, two milks, one sugar; for Y/n, two milks, two sugar."

He reached halfway up the stairs before you happily accepted the tray from him. "Much appreciated, Sanji. Thank you."

"Of course," he tilted his head in a graceful nod. "Breakfast will be ready in an hour. I suggest you get there ten minutes before Luffy does."

Nami returned to the helm, smiling as she reached for her cup of coffee. "We'll be there. How'd you know what coffee I liked?"

Sanji motioned towards you, and you offered your girlfriend a sheepish, shameless smile. Nami smiled over the lip of her cup, rolling her eyes.

Even with your nose buried in the novel you were reading, you can feel Zoro's attention on you and Nami.

Both of you were sitting on the stairs at the ship's bow, Nami seated behind you so she could braid your hair close to your head. Her legs are braced on either side of your body, and from the way you felt them stiffen, you could tell she had a thin tolerance for Zoro's glancing. "What?"

He didn't need to be addressed, but still reacted. "Nothing."

You sucked on the inside of your cheek to keep yourself from laughing. You can feel Nami's frustration make her fingers heavier. Three... Two... One... "Since when do you know how to braid?"

You couldn't help but snicker, patting Nami's knee at your side. She understood your cue, and let you explain. "My dad taught us. Nojiko and Nami often visited the house when we were kids."

Zoro studied you for a moment, then turned his attention back towards the island several miles away. "All right."

Luffy wanted to dock here because he said he smelled something delicious, which Sanji interpreted as a personal challenge. Usopp had joined them out of whimsy. Luffy asked the three of you to stay aboard and protect the ship, but you heard Nami mutter how he just didn't want her and Zoro to keep him in line. "Think they're okay?" Zoro asked.

The tallest building on the island suddenly exploded.

Zoro looked surprised for all of two seconds before he groaned, rubbing his face in frustration. Nami's fingers froze in the middle of another braid in your hair. "Seriously...?"

You offer her a hair tie, giggling. "Just tie it where you stopped, and let's go."

That evening, when everyone had settled in to sleep, you and Nami laid together in bed. Your arms were snugly wrapped around her bare back, skin flush against your own. You returned to your natural position, lifting your chin to nuzzle her neck as she slowly untangles the braids in your hair.

Along with the creaking of the Merry and the sound of the ocean waves, Nami's breathing was incredibly soothing to hear. "So. You survived another day with these idiots. What now?"

You let out a quiet chuckle as you fell further into sleep. "You won't get rid of me so easily, Nami."

Her chest rose and fell as she sighed. "Good."

"Mhhm." you snuggled closer against her, and Nami tangled her legs around yours.

When you were able to find a comfortable position, you started kissing the skin of her collarbones softly. Nami smiled, smoothing out your hair. "Good night, Y/n. Love you."

"I love you, Nami." You murmur into her skin.

Wild Kratts Headcanons

genuinely have no clue if this fandom is dead or not but I’ve fallen down a rabbit hole and it isn’t stopping. So anyway here we go! All of my hc’s are strictly platonic, Krattcest shippers back away rn 🤺. This is the 2D characters and not referring to the actual people! I know the characters are basically them but this is specifically for the cartoon. they’re all headcanons I either liked or had myself.

-Being as close as they are, Martin and Chris are very physically affectionate with one another (and with the Tortuga crew at times, but mostly the bros). They’re always giving each other hugs or leaning on the others shoulder, or Chris just straight up climbs onto Martin’s back/shoulders.

-With their friends, the boys are always giving them hugs, small shoulder touches, things like that. It’s their natural way of interacting with the people they care about.

-The Kratts have been found sleeping in trees various times (mainly Chris). At this point nobody questions it though they do get worried about him falling out and getting hurt.

-The Kratt Bros are also sometimes found sleeping in the same hammock, whether it’s in the Tortuga or hung up on a tree branch. They usually do this when the other has a nightmare or after partially tough missions (I.E:Flight of The Pollinators, Platypus Cafe, plus other episodes but these are the ones I heard about most and I haven’t gotten to watching too much of the show again yet). Touch is their love language and sometimes they need this to remind themselves the other is okay.

-Chris climbs basically everything. He loves climbing and if you took him to a rock wall climbing gym he’d have a field day. You can find him in the oddest places on the Tortuga.

-Aviva isn’t the most touchy person but will give hugs out of gratitude/happiness.

-The brothers share a single braincell. That is all.

-Jimmy has a very close relationship to his grandmother and was raised by her; which is why he knows all of her recipes.

-Aviva is like a mom friend. Not in the sense she’s motherly but in the sense she has to babysit two hyperactive brothers who are constantly running around/getting in trouble and breaking things.

-Martin can carry Chris no problem (on his back, shoulders or bridal style), but Chris cannot carry Martin on his back/shoulders for long. Though he can hold him bridal style (as we have seen.)

-The bros are huge nerds. If you ask them about animals they will talk for HOURS about them.

-Koki is downright fabulous and can rock anything. Don’t @ me.

-Martin has ADHD and Chris has autism. Martin fidgets, gets distracted easily, and can act impulsively (though reels Chris in when Chris is the one being impulsive). He tends to run off during creature adventures. He has combined presentation ADHD and Martin also has a tendency to forget to charge his creature pod.

-As for Chris, he has autism. He doesn’t recognize social cues and corrects people when he thinks they’re wrong about something, and doesn’t realize when they’re annoyed with him for it. He also can be pretty blunt. And he has to keep things organized, such as how he organized all of his creature disks and hates them being moved out of place.

-Chris, out of everyone, cusses the most. He doesn’t around the Wild Kratt Kids but he will when with the crew/his brother. He has definitely called Zach a motherf*cker and Aviva and Martin found it hilarious.

-The Tortuga Gang have frequent movie nights, but they will never watch a movie where an animal dies with the brothers. They WILL cry.

-After the Tazzy Incident, Chris still has some Tazzy traits. Mostly just sharper canines but also more sensitive senses. He can’t hear, smell and see are well as he could when in tazzy form but it’s definitely increased from normal. His eyes also do that thing cat eyes do when they’re in the dark and the light hits them. Has 100% given Martin heart attacks and absolutely has used it to mess with Zach.

I came up with maybe not a theory but more of just an observation that the east blue 5 seem to parallel the 5 love languages and it's kinda reframed all of their actions and behaviours towards each other so much for me on my watchthrough. Got brainworms from that one oda interview where he said zoro doesn't like verbally expressing gratitude and prefers to show appreciation through actions and it got me thinking

The 5 languages:

Physical touch - Luffy

Acts of service - Zoro

Quality time - Usopp

Receiving / giving gifts - Nami

Words of affirmation - Sanji

Funnily enough in OPLA we definitely see a lot of physical touch Luffy. He's always playfully punching or hugging crewmates, despite having known the crew for such a short time he's just instantly clingy and physically present around them in east blue.

Zoro is very much an actions person. He's a little emotionally constipated and doesn't verbalise his feelings very much, in fact that seems like the last thing he wants to do, but he will always be looking out for any member of the crew silently, and is almost always the first to spring into action when it's called for. He shows he cares through acts of service and being there for his captain and crew.

Usopps language being quality time is shown pretty well in syrup village with his relationship with Kaya. Kaya is a girl who has everything she could wish for financially, but ussop provides her with a much needed friend, someone to support her and just physically be present and talk to her. He risks so much just to make her smile because being there for his friends is such a crucial and important thing for him.

Nami's love language being giving/recieving gifts means so much to me because it is so often seen as the most shallow of the love languages and I have seen so many poor analysis and digs at Nami's character, reducing her to just being greedy and money hungry. Did they watch Arlong park with their eyes closed??? For Nami, gold or money is a means for her to provide for the people she cares about, to ensure their financial stability and freedom and to keep her crewmates fed and afloat. She spent so long scorned and alone and (believed she was) hated because she created this money hungry persona to save her village and to best Arlong. Every piece of gold she bled to get was meant for that end goal. Nami deserves the financial freedom and gold that being a strawhat pirate could give because for years and years every bit she earned was tucked away for the well-being of others and was then stolen from under her nose. (This paragraph got very long but I'm not sorry I am the captain of the Nami defense squad.)

And finally Sanji reflects words of praise as a love language. I think it's the most clear to see with how Sanji is so quick to praise any female character he comes into contact with, especially Nami, but I think it also reflects his strained relationship with zef while working at the baratie. Zeff is always verbally critical of Sanji as a way to rile him up and to encourage him to leave the restaurant. Zef weaponises what makes Sanji tick to antagonise him and tries to get him to leave that way, but Sanji is far too stubborn and feels too great a debt to leave.

I think east blue definitely shows the 5 dynamics in a pretty clear way and kinda helped me understand what makes the characters tick. Also why some of the characters end up butting heads or getting into arguments. They all show and recieve love in different way, sometimes there are misunderstandings or clashes but at the end of the day they all trust each other with their lives and it's such a strong bond.

Anyways I'll eventually draw some more OP but I'd love to hear any thoughts or other people's ideas if they have any on the matter. Sometimes I get analysis brainworms, and I first shared the idea on discord, but figured why not post it to Tumblr too

ALSO please if anyone has examples from the series that fit the love languages PLEASE share it, makes my heart oougggghhghg.

Hi hi! I was wondering if you could write some fluff for Ace with a male reader that is struggling coming off his ADHD meds and sleeping properly. Or something simpler like Ace being with the reader while the reader works on their personal projects and keeping him on task, reader still has ADHD. More details could be that the reader is apart of the Whitebeard crew. I don’t mind what form you write it in, how long you want to write it is up to you. I did not know how to word this correctly and I am extremely sorry if it is completely unclear or entirely wrong requesting format. English might be my first language but that does not mean I can make sense of English's extensive grammar that is utterly flawed and quite irritating.

Ace definitely knows how to take care of others. He is both a commandant and a big brother, and he takes his position very seriously. He used to keep an eye on Luffy during his childhood. So he’s always watching for you, even from afar, to make sure you're alright. Ace has no problem with your ADHD since he has to deal with Luffy anyway. Even if his brother doesn't have ADHD, some things you may do may sound familiar to him.

He would be unsure at first. He doesn't know a lot about ADHD and is stressed about bothering you with possibly uncomfortable questions. Ace is likely overthinking and afraid of being annoying, because he always thinks he's not worthy of being loved. He would seek Marco's aid in learning the fundamentals by reading books on the subject. He wants to do his best.

He will ask you for the specifics. With a flushed and embarrassed expression. Let him know if it's alright and if he's not bothering you.

Reminding you to take your medication would quickly become a part of his own routine. And, even if he's not around, he would make sure to leave a cute note with some random drawing, like a Stickman and some… hearts, but it doesn't look like hearts. Although he doesn't know how to draw, it's nonetheless cute.

If you struggle to go to bed early because of hyperfocus and overthinking, he would just say something like "I'm going to bed. You come with me?" He doesn't want to constantly remind you about your ADHD because you're more than that. So he wouldn't bring the subject up all the time.

You're treating him like a normal guy and not like "the son of someone" so he would do the same to you.

Depending on whether you struggle with physical touch or not, he would or just lay close to you, trying to soothe your potential overthinking with random jokes and sweet nothings. Or just using his DF to make you count the fire sheep. What a cutie. And if you don't struggle with physical touch, then prepare yourself for a lot of cuddles. He would use his DF to gently run his hot palms over your skin, making sure you're comfortable again.

And if you really struggle to sleep, then he doesn't mind chatting and learning more about your hyper fixations. Ace likes that kind of stuff, and honestly, he's just so happy that you're actually just… talking to him.

Imagine his cute laughter every time you say something funny.

He might fall asleep randomly while you're talking due to his narcoleptic tendencies. But overall, he likes long-night conversations because, as you know, often the night conversations are the most intimate, the ones where two people bond closely.

When you need to focus on your work, again it depends. If you're in a hyperfixation mood, honestly, he would just look at you and randomly smile because he thinks you're adorable when you're that serious. He won't bother you since you're in your own world. But if you're hyper-focused for hours, then he would come from time to time to remind you to stay hydrated or to eat something.

"Y/N, look, I've made some grilled fish" while placing the plate in front of you.

During your night work, Ace would leave a small candle on your desk that he would light himself as a small reminder of him. He's always with you this way. "I want a goodnight kiss" with a cute pout before leaving you alone.

If you're having trouble with your tasks, he'll remind you not to procrastinate too much. Because he knows that it would just stress you more and more as the deadline approaches.

He would help you take some breaks from time to time. "Okay y/n, that's enough work, let's visit this island together"

Once you come back to work, he doesn't interfere much. Just helps you here and there as best as he can. He doesn't want to distract you. "Get outta there, you goddamn pineapple, he's working" when Marco randomly comes to talk to Ace.

And, once you are finally done with all your duties, he would proudly lend you his hat with the warmest smile ever. "I knew you could do it. That's my sweet boy, always so brave."

Ace is so wholesome, help.

Shanks - SFW Alphabet

G/N Reader, minor discussion of adult themes.

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

Shanks is a very affectionate person, both with his friends and his lovers. If you’re not that kind of person, he’ll totally keep his hands to himself, but he does like expressing his affections through touch. For his closest friends on the crew, hugs are commonplace. He’s been known to plop himself into Beckman’s lap when drunk for a cuddle. Mihawk gets a big sloppy kiss on the cheek whenever they see each other (he hates it and has considered killing Shanks to end it, but he doesn’t because he VERY begrudgingly loves his friend very much). But you? If you want, you get the hugs, you get the kisses on your head or cheek, you get him falling asleep on your lap. Whatever you want, as long as he’s touching you he’s content.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Much like Luffy after him, he sort of picks people up and makes them his friend whether they want to be or not. You might have started out as a reluctant companion, or maybe you were friends from the moment you met. Shanks knows he can come on pretty strong, so if you need time to let him in, he’ll give that to you because he thinks you’re worth it. If Shanks considers you his bestie, he’ll move mountains for you.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Shanks loves to cuddle. He’s a physical touch as a love language kind of guy. He wants you to lean your head on his shoulder if you’re up late on watch duty. He doesn’t mind if you fall asleep, hell, he’ll encourage it. He also loves sleeping with you. Whether you’re a couple or platonic, he specifically enjoys the closeness that comes with falling asleep with another person.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

Shanks is a pirate for life. Even if he wanted to, there would be no “settling down” for him. He plans on being at sea until the day he dies. He also kind of enjoys that he has people on the crew who do the cleaning and maintenance for him. He feels like he got enough of that life on the Oro Jackson.

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Shanks would do anything in the world for his person, but he’s a pirate above all else. It’s the only life he’s ever known and the only life he wants. The thing to most likely break them would be if his partner wanted something he couldn’t or wouldn’t be willing to provide. It’d break his heart entirely - he loves easily, but being in love is something rare. He’d get past it, but he’d be hesitant to allow himself to be in such a vulnerable position again, and he’d feel forever changed.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

If you’re a member of his crew, Shanks would be open to the idea of marriage, but it might take some convincing. He’s very aware of power dynamics and even before you started dating the idea of being romantically involved with someone on his crew made him cautious. But the crew was fully supportive, and so he took the leap. To take that next step would be much the same kind of discussion. Ring or not, he is completely open to the idea of spending his life with the right person. If you’re not on his crew and he can’t guarantee being able to spend every day with you, it’s probably not going to get to that point in the first place anyway.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

We’ve all seen Shanks. We know he’s incredibly strong physically, as a pirate, and with his Haki. But with you, he’s all soft edges unless he needs to use that strength to protect you. Emotionally, the man is basically a golden retriever.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

If you asked Shanks what the worst part about missing an arm would be, he wouldn’t say having to re-learn how to do everything with his right hand, it wouldn’t be the weird phantom limb syndrome he had going for a while, and it wouldn’t be the things that he never realized were harder to do with only one arm, like putting on pants. He would 100% say it’s that every hug he gives is now, by definition, half a hug. He makes up for this by just making every hug twice as long.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

Shanks is liberal with the word “love,” but not in a meaningless way. He loves his crew, he loves his friends, and he’s open about letting people know this in a completely platonic way. He thinks it’s important to tell the people you care about that you care about them while you can. But for romantic love, he’ll be a little more cautious. Yes, he’ll want to tell you immediately. He’ll want to shout it to the world. But he also knows romantic love is delicate, and he would hold back until he was sure you were on the same page. After that, though, you’ll hear it a dozen times a day.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

Nahh, Shanks trusts you. There isn’t a jealous bone in the man’s body.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss their partner? Where do they like to be kissed?)

Shanks wants to kiss you all over, everywhere, and all of the time. You’ll get soft, sleepy smooches when you wake up in the morning, and he’ll nuzzle your face and neck, enjoying being close to you. During the day you’re both busy around the ship usually, so you’ll get a quick peck here and there when your paths cross. At night, he’ll pull you close to him and kiss you deeply, letting his tongue explore your mouth…then elsewhere, if you want.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

Shanks is awesome with kids, probably because in some ways he’s sort of a big kid himself. He speaks their language, and they tend to flock to him. He gets joy out of playing along. If a kid he doesn’t know comes up to him and shows him a rock, he’s totally gonna tell that kid it’s the coolest rock he’s ever seen. Shanks doesn’t see room in his life for being a full-time parent, but he enjoys taking on a mentorship role with the kids he meets and being a positive influence in their lives, and that scratches the itch enough for him.

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Shanks is a morning person through and through. He spends about two total minutes being groggy before he’s back to his normal self and ready to start the day. Unless he partied a little too hard the night before, he also likes to be among the first people up on the ship. He sort of sees it as part of his duty as captain - if his people need to be up at the crack of dawn, he should be too. If you’re an early riser, you can enjoy getting ready for the day together and reading the paper over coffee and breakfast. If you like to sleep in, he’ll slip out of bed and do his best not to disturb you.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Shanks can be a party animal and when the time is right will drink and dance well into the night. But he also appreciates the still, quiet nights where you can sneak up to the crows nest and sit under the stars together. He likes to sit with you, arm wrapped around you as you talk or just enjoy the silence together.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Shanks is generally an open book, but as a pirate captain, and an exceptionally powerful one at that, he’s learned that revealing too much about himself too quickly can be a danger to him and his crew. He likes talking about his experiences and sees life as a series of lessons to be learned, and he enjoys sharing that. In the early days together, you’ll get all the surface-level stuff, but after some time he’ll tell you his deepest thoughts and motivations.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

It takes a lot to really anger Shanks. Usually when he’s angry it’s tied to fear that something or someone he cares about will be taken from him. He doesn’t lash out often, and lets most things roll off his back. But sometimes, like anyone, he gets pushed to the edge, and that’s when the sword comes out.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about their partner? Do they remember every little detail they mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

Shanks has a mind for broad strokes and not fine detail, but he remembers what’s important to him. He’s not forgetful, necessarily, but sometimes it takes a minute or two for things to come back to mind.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in their relationship?)

Shanks’s favorite moment in your relationship was when the crew was docked on an island in the New World and there was a festival in town. He loved watching your reactions to the lights, the dancers in the street, and the delicious local food. You were thrilled, and he was thrilled because of that.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect their partner? How would they like to be protected?)

Shanks can be overprotective of the people he loves, sometimes annoyingly so. He knows his own strength, and sometimes he feels it's his duty to personally keep you safe - almost like because he’s so strong, no one else is really capable of doing so. It definitely makes him anxious. Whether you’re his friend or his lover, he values your life immensely and it would break his heart to lose you. Regardless of your background, you may need to prove yourself as a fighter before he feels comfortable not being your personal bodyguard. Or maybe you’re okay with him being your protector, and that’s cool too.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

Shanks wants to celebrate every day that he gets to be with you. Being at sea can make it hard to find special things to do, and the privacy with which to do them, but he’s rarely not thinking of something for you. Your birthday will be a huge celebration every year, if you want (if you don’t, you better make sure he knows that!). If you both choose to celebrate anniversaries, he’ll make them special, but more personal - he’ll probably have Lucky cook up something fancy and close up the mess hall for a few hours so it’s just the two of you. If you’re on his crew, he’ll be very careful not to show you any special treatment when it comes to your duties, but he’ll also do little things to make your life easier or just make you smile, like drawing you a bath if you’re sore or buying you small things at port that he thinks you might like.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

Shanks is, ummm, a little on the ADHD side. While it has its benefits, sometimes you might have to fight to get him to focus on the things that are necessary but he’s not particularly interested in. He also gets carried away sometimes, and relies on Beckman, the rational brain in his life (and you if you’re that type) to bring him back down to earth.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

Shanks knows he’s hot as hell. He gets enough attention, he’s had people tell him they have his wanted poster in their bedroom. He also puts next to no effort into his looks aside from basic hygiene. He wears the ugly pants for absolutely no reason other than because he knows he’s attractive enough to get away with it. He doesn’t even like them that much, but he’s been wearing them too long to stop now. He likes to joke that if he wore socks under his sandals no one would even look at him weird and it would probably be suddenly in style.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without their partner?)

If Shanks is going to fall in love, he’s going to love hard and with his entire soul. He feels like the right person is actively meant for him, out of all the people in the world, and if they’re gone permanently from his life, whether through circumstances out of his control or because it just didn’t work, it’ll take a lot to feel like himself again. He’ll get there, but he’ll also feel permanently changed.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

I’ve got two: 1) Before he lost his arm, Shanks was a decently skilled guitar player. 2) Shanks is an organized chaos kind of person. His office is a huge mess, but he knows where everything is, and that’s what’s important.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

In a partner, Shanks doesn’t want someone who’s controlling. For him, being a pirate is about being free, and while he’s certainly willing to compromise some in a relationship, he still has to be free to be himself. In general, Shanks strongly believes that nuts of any kind do not belong in cookies, brownies, or other baked goods. The only exception to this is peanut butter, but it’s gotta be the smooth kind.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?)

Shanks snores, but it’s a sort of quiet, cute snore most of the time, unless he’s been drinking a lot. He sometimes talks in his sleep, but it’s entirely nonsense and you enjoy telling him about the stuff he said the next day. You have occasionally woken him up from laughing so hard, and sometimes tell the whole crew if it was particularly funny.

God I love the way the Owl House Crew does romance. In this instance, I've been thinking specifically about Huntlow, and the use of physical touch and eye contact between them.

Touch and Eye Contact are two BIG ways people will silently signal that they are interested in someone (Like, there is a MASSIVE amount of science behind this, which can be read further here, here, and here.) and in Any Sport in a Storm, Willow repeatedly and continuously goes out of her way to catch and hold Hunter's gaze, as well as inserting herself into his personal bubble to touch him;

Willow spends her entire introduction to Hunter holding eye contact with him and frequently initiating touches. In fact, throughout ASIAS, Willow specifically touches Hunter's arm/shoulder multiple times, which one of the articles I linked above spoke about as a common way of signaling that you're interested in someone.

Unfortunately for Willow, Hunter has the social intelligence of a dry piece of seaweed, so all of her signals fly right over his head going south for the winter. But, crucially, a thing to note is that Willow's touch doesn't seem to affect Hunter at first. He isn't uncomfortable with her touching him, nor does he enjoy it. It's just a thing that happens, and he doesn't seem to care. At first. But as the episode progresses and he begins to take more notice of Willow as more than just a 'potential recruit,' he starts to react positively to her touches, and his own body language starts to reflect that he's interested in her too, albeit in a much more shy way since this is all very new to him (fidgeting, nervous eye contact, primping...)

But a neat thing I noticed that is that Willow's initial interest in Hunter ended once she found out who he really was. After that, instead of steady eye contact and little touches, Willow starts to shut him out. When the others are glaring at Hunter and yelling at him in the jail cell, Willow won't even look at him.

He redeems himself a little when he jumps in to save them from Darius, but not completely. Not yet, anyways. Willow still has her guard up a little when she and Hunter reunite in Labyrinth Runners. She clearly wants to trust him, but isn't sure if she can after what happened last time.

Then, Hunter reveals something personal that proves he really was trying to help Gus, and the walls come down. And once they're down, not only does the saga of intimate touch and eye contact return

but it starts to escalate, with the touching getting more familiar and intimate the longer the two spend around each other.

we think sally was a STUDENT in university when she came to radiator springs - went to berkeley for law, was two years into her courses when she decided she just Couldnt anymore. she packed all her stuff into a bag and left one morning and just drove until her car broke down in the middle of nowhere, otherwise known as about 10 miles away from radiator springs on route 66

before i go any further i usher you to read the backstory fic i made for her because self promo is real and it goes much more in depth about how utterly miserable i made her:

ANYWAYS we think she had a boyfriend previous to this, not really sure the details but they broke up, she was 19 when she came to radiator springs, 21 when lightning came around, etc.

headcanons wise

- she really loves flowers and plants. her favourite flowers are dahlias. she can make flower crowns like she created the concept of them herself, absolutely zero effort

- doc taught her law using his own knowledge from law school and the books she has from her own courses, she wasn’t too upset about not being able to be a big lawyer because in radiator springs she had other things to do — like bring her vision for the cozy cone to life

- she designed the cozy cone motel with the help of ramone and built it with the help of red

- her love language is physical touch

- (personal favourite) she loves hugging lmq, sometimes whenever the crew is sitting around and he’s sitting criss cross on the floor, she’ll sit behind him, arms around him, also criss cross, sound asleep with her head resting against his back and he is completely unbothered by it

- she doesnt cry much, her and lightning are similar that way, and it takes a LOT for her to get emotional. thats not saying she wont bawl her eyes out if lightning gets hurt because she loves him

Love Language - Monkey D. Luffy

a/n: luffy looks so cute in this gif. anyway this is the second part to the love languages series! i almost put out zoro's first but decided against it😋 anyways, enjoy!🫶

Physical Touch

Luffy clings like a baby koala.

He knows almost no boundaries so he goes all out with physical touch. It's like he can't get enough of you (but he backs off when you voice it out when he's too much).

He wraps around you like a boa constrictor when you cuddle because he likes to feel only you whenever you cuddle.

When your fingers are running through his hair, he gets all soft and sleepy. He's almost purring as you do so.

He really likes holding your hand. He likes how it feels against his own.

Quality Time

He loves being in your presence!

He follows you around like a lost puppy when he doesn't have you lounging with him at his special seat.

His mouth is never at rest from talking. Or eating. Whenever he talks (which is always), he loves that you're always there to listen.

Like with Sanji, you're practically sewn at the hip with how much time Luffy spends with you. You're not complaining, though.

Words of Affirmation

Not a single thought in his brain fails to escape through his lips. As a result, you are always made aware of what he feels.

When you do something worthy of praise, he's first to do so with enthusiasm and genuineness.

Whenever you wear something new, his eyes practically turn to hearts as they lunge out of their sockets. His booming voice announces to the entire Grand Line how pretty he thinks you are.

On the other hand, Luffy is used to receiving compliments. However, you seem to have a different effect on him as he seems to suddenly turn to melted rubber the moment you utter how pretty he looks today or how cool that new move was.

Giving/Receiving Gifts

Though most wouldn't count it as a gift, it is a different case for Luffy; during meals, he would offer you his food when he thinks it's tasteful (he thinks everything is tasteful, so he gives you at least one of everything he eats).

Despite not being big on giving gifts, Luffy really treasures the gifts he receives from you.

He would boast about it, show it off like it's a trophy, and show just how meaningful your gift is to him.

When Luffy does gift you something, there's more thought put into it than Berries.

Having spent his childhood in the jungle, he found himself to be familiar with the different cultures living within the woods. If you ever mentioned your favorite flower, he would know the moment he set his eyes on it and give you a hundred of them.

Acts of Service

Though it is last on the list, it is not the least.

Luffy is a gentleman when it comes to you.

The crew was awestruck when Luffy seemed to remember his manners when you two started dating.

He would open the door for you, feed you, hold your hand while walking – hell, he would have even worship the ground you walked on if you hadn't stopped him.

There are even instances when the captain would clean your room for you. (This would only happen when he reached total boredom, so be glad when it happens because there's a slim chance it'll have a repeat.)

He would tie your laces for you! Not in an effective way though, but he tries his best <3 (Why do you think he just wears sandals?)

He'd bring you food so whenever he's in the mood for something to eat, you're always eating with him (even if it's just a tiny bite-sized snack).

gender neutral reader. fluff. improper grammar. no y/n or (name). established relationship. strawhat-coded reader. i've never really been a zoro girlie... i hope this is okay tho. based on opla!zoro but can fit anime!zoro aswell. spoiler free.

physical touch: he isn't big on giving physical affection, it's just not his nature. he doesn't like PDA all too much and in private i believe that he doesn't change. its not that he hates physical touch, it's more like he doesn't like initiating it. if you're touchy and always want to hug or hang off of him who is he to reject your affections. if you were to jump into his arms or just collapse on him he wouldn't say anything about it... well he might complain but its not real complaining. i think instead of initiating hugs and kisses he's more if a kisses your hand or rub the back of your hand with his thumb—kind of guy.

acts of service: he likes to do hard labor to show you love. ofc he dose things like get you a glass of water or get you a blanket from the bottom deck but he likes to show off his strength. if you wanted a fish he'd come back with a whale—stuff like that. he'd try to tone it down if you don't like that but thats his best quality. he likes to do absolutely ridiculous things to simple tasks because he wants to impress you. sometimes sanji gets involved and then he HAS to show off bc who dose sanji think he is trying outdo him at his job (getting you chocolate milk)??????

quality time: he spends his free time training and sleeping mostly so he probably won't invite you to join him on his free time that often unless you like taking naps or watching. i think he'd think he's boring so he probably wouldn't to invite you anyway. sometimes he will just plop down beside you whenever you're on the deck and you two will sit in a comfortable silence. he'll tell you about how he's training to lift a ton or swing his sword faster, but he honestly wants you to do more of the talking. when you leave the ship he always wants to go with you. it doesn't matter if you're leaving to get 1 thing or 100 things or even just a breath of fresh air away from everyone he wants to be with you at all times even if he doesn't explicitly say it.

giving/receiving gifts: he doesn't have any money so dont expect anything extravagant. he gets you more food than anything because thats all he can really get yk. he tries to spice things up by getting you a bird or fruit from a island, maybe even some treasures that villages gift them as a way of saying thank you, but you get a lot of fish from him. he might also give you a kiss as a way of giving you something—you gotta rmr kissing really isn't his thing so that means a lot coming from him!! he's a pirate after all and he cant really show a lot of appreciation towards you in the gift department.

he's also easy to please. be doesn't really expect much, if you gave him a towel he'd cherish it. he knows its hard to really get the other anything especially with a kingpin nami being in charge of the money holding everyone hostage financially so he's be happy with anything. i also think he's also one of those people who are content with what they have/feel like they have all they need. he has his crew, his swords and you—what else dose he really need?

robin is strong and has a devil fruit so she’s different!

nami has average feats besides some decent durability

but yeah so he’s not gentle at all

you may get treated like zoro and usopp

you two probably seem more like best friends than a couple

luffy drags you EVERYWHERE on your adventures!

like literally you don’t remember a time where you two are separated

which leads me to believe one of his love languages are quality time

playing together, fishing together, fighting side by side, exploring together
