‘Alright, I think I’ve come up with a nice selection.’

‘Hm... Real nice…’

Charles scoffs and tugs at Pierre’s messy hair that he was mindlessly combing with his free hand. ‘Have a look maybe.’

Pierre groans softly which sends a draft of warm breath on Charles’ abdomen – his chosen pillow since he came back from the bathroom. ‘At what?’ he mumbles.

‘The pics I’m gonna post on Instagram. From yesterday.’

‘Seriously?’ Pierre lifts his head wearily. His eyes are red and gleaming from exhaustion, and at this very moment they’re tinted with indignation. ‘D’you have to do that at seven in the morning?’

‘It’s almost nine. Seven was when you decided to cut my night short. I’m not complaining that you did but don’t whine now because I’m fully awake.’

Charles shrugs, knowing he’s right, then he smiles, sheepish and impish at once. The smile Pierre never resists and often says would allow him to get away with murder and all sins.

Today is no exception. Pierre groans again for good measure, but hauls himself up to slump into one of the pillows propped against the bedhead, resting his chin onto Charles’ shoulder. ‘Let’s see.’

Charles shows him his phone where he’s moved nine pictures – among the hundreds he could choose from – in a separate folder.

For a few seconds, Pierre just stares at the thumbnails, blinking his drowsiness away. But suddenly, he snatches the phone from Charles’ hand with a snort. ‘For real?’

‘What?’

‘You want to post these? All of these? All together?’

‘Yeah... But I'll put this one first.’

‘Oh, all good then. Your fans never swipe right to study every single detail of every single picture.’

Charles scrunches his nose, first at the sarcasm, then in the grip of doubt. ‘Too much of you?’

‘There’s no such thing as too much of me in your life, but... it’s a lot, yes.’

‘And you mind?’

‘No, I don’t. Not at all.’ Pierre laughs and zooms in on his hand inches away from Charles’ crotch on one of the shots from the basketball match they played. ‘I’m just surprised that’s what your photodump is made of after a day spent with NBA stars, friends and family. But I’ll never stop you from making it clear what your priority is and— Wait, no, you can’t post this one.’ He grimaces and hands him back the phone.

Confused, Charles observes the picture taken in the street. ‘Why not? We look cute.’

‘You bet. You’re gazing at me like I’m a three course meal in your favourite restaurant and we’re holding hands!’

‘It’s impossible to tell with our sleeves and the shadow. You only see it because you know.’

‘I see it because it’s right there to be spotted.’ Pierre smiles and presses a kiss where Charles’ dimple would be if he weren’t pouting. ‘Don’t underestimate the photo enhancement skills of your followers.’

‘Fine... I’ll post the other one. But Illies is on it. I’ll crop him out.’

Pierre chuckles and slides his lips along Charles’ cheek to reach the spot below his ear. ‘How will you caption this? “And later on, we wrecked the bed”?’

‘No…’ Charles drops his phone onto his lap and tilts his head to give him better access to his skin.

‘What about “We played with balls all day and then again all night”?’

‘I think I’ll go for “He’s a dumbass but he makes my heart bounce”.’

Pierre pulls away to meet his eyes with an exaggerated swooning gasp that Charles muffles with the palm of his hand. So Pierre brushes it with his tongue, which sends shivers coursing through Charles’ entire body.

‘I'll go for something safe,’ he sighs, closing his eyes. ‘Like it was fun but I should stick to F1.’

‘Lame…’ Pierre whispers, his teeth nibbling Charles’ forefinger.

‘I’d like to post a reel too. There’s so much great footage.’

‘Yeah? Let’s create some more.’ Pierre collects Charles’ phone with a devilish grin and unlocks it with the pin – the date of their first kiss.

‘Some more?’

‘The content they truly deserve.’

Pierre opens the camera on selfie mode, starts recording a video and stretches his arm up in order to frame them both.

‘What are you doing?’ Charles chortles, trying and failing at swating his hand aside.

‘I’m doing you. I’m doing Charles Leclerc, ladies and gentlemen.’

Pierre shifts to straddle him and parts his lips with his tongue before Charles can think of protesting again. So he gives in to the lustful kiss, gripping Pierre's hips to pull him closer.

But after half a minute of licks, bites and intense rubbing, sensing he’s about to lose his ability to think rationally, Charles shakes his head gently.

‘Enough now,’ he pants against Pierre’s chin. ‘Delete it.’

‘Why?’ Pierre drops his arm and stops the recording. ‘Don’t you want to keep it for when you’ll desperately miss me?’

‘I don’t trust myself. I could upload it by mistake. Or out of sheer frustration when it drives me completely insane to keep us in the closet.’

In a second, Pierre’s playful expression morphes into a surprised concerned one. He hastens to delete the video, tosses the phone aside and cradles Charles’ face to caress it with his thumb.

‘I’ve been joking all along, but… Is that what this is about? Are you— Do you want us to start having this conversation…?’

Charles worries at his bottom lip for a few beats, then he smiles, resigned, leaning into Pierre’s touch. ‘No… Not really. Not now. It would distract us to deal with the massive deal everybody would make of it, and we can’t afford to be distracted. I really mean that,’ he adds, more confident, because Pierre looks relieved but a bit guilty to be. ‘I just have moments every now and then, but when I weigh the pros and cons, I think it’d be more damaging than anything. We’ve made this work long enough and it… it’s working pretty well.’

‘Pretty well?’ Pierre repeats with a hint of a teasing smile.

‘Mind-blowingly well,’ Charles rectifies, tangling his fingers in Pierre’s hair and gliding against the pillow to lie down under his body. ‘So let’s just rehearse again for that reel we’ll never post.’

‘Sounds good,’ Pierre murmurs in the crook of his neck, sinking between Charles’ legs. ‘Captioned “The one sport we always win at”.’

‘Together…’

Hi, I've been following you for awhile now but I'm very internet-shy (if that's a thing) so I've nerver said anything, hence the anon. I wanted to commend you for your writings and headcanons, which I've been enjoying so so so much.

I've always believed that Thranduil had multiple children but I was always indecisive on the number, you helped me settle on five, and many of your characterisations fit perfectly in my own personal headcanons. Moreover even those that I do not agree with have helped me develop my own, so again thank you.

Now on the question: have you ever had so many ideas that you end up creating multiple version of your own AU or, worse, fanfictions of your fanfiction? I write a lot and I'm always expanding on my writings (but never publish, again internet-shy) and I always get so many new inspirations that I always create AUs of my AU so I never finish anything, how do you solve this problem?

Oh my friend, you being so kind is exactly the reason why I would probably never turn off Anon Asks, even though I'm quite sensitive to hate and dread the thought of eventually getting my first hate Anon. (Fingers crossed my lucky streak holds out!)

That is fantastic, and I hope you are able to create tons of content for you to enjoy (and for other fans, if you ever decide to share them)!

As for your question: Hoo-boy, like most of our fellow writers, I am plagued with "too many ideas, too little brain space and even less time to write them down"! That being said, the kind of brain I have is also quite determined to keep my creative mess (somewhat) organized, so I DO fight to wrestle my SotWK AU ideas down and create structure for my fics to stand on.

Yes, I do occasionally get the urge to deviate from my own headcanons and experiment with other scenarios. I think more writers operate with unlimited AUs in their heads, actually. (From what I've read of others' works, at least.) But my personal goal is to create a single consistent, unified "SotWK AU" that encompasses not just Thranduil/Mirkwood's history, but ties into the untouched/extended stories of other canon realms/races/characters as well (including a lot of "Everyone Lives")! So I do try to stay disciplined and stick to my headcanon "facts" once I've nailed them down.

If that's something you also want to try to accomplish, here are Five Things I personally do that might be helpful:

Keep a Master Timeline. This was the first thing I did when I decided to take the SotWK concept all the way. I copy-pasted the entire Middle-earth timeline from Tolkien Gateway into a document, and started to plug in all the headcanon events from my AU into it. That's why nearly every fic I write has a specified date and year!

Keep a Glossary of Your Originals. This can be as messy a dumping ground as you want! Just try to keep all your notes about every single character, place, object, or term you create in one document/file folder so you can easily track and reference them.

Indulge "rogue AUs" in fic "shorts" or drabbles. I accept requests for Reader inserts and this area is where I allow myself to "go wild" with my "out of bounds" ideas. Here, I will allow myself to write stuff like Modern AUs, or have Thranduil be with someone other than my OC Elvenqueen, or have my Thranduilion princes love whomsoever they want, changing the love interest up each time! It doesn't matter, since these stories are all considered "outside" of the SotWK canon, and don't affect the overall "official" story arc. (Note: I haven't actually posted/completed any of these yet, but I have multiple WIPs of such stories.)

Chop Long Stories Up into Smaller Bits. I have a terrible inability to stay focused on a single story/project (don't we all), and for this reason, I avoid long, multi-chapter fics whenever I can. Instead, I will (or plan to) write individual key events as stand-alone one-shots and later group them into collections. This is how I plan on tackling Thranduil and Maereth's 2,000-year long courtship, for example. It reduces the stress of doing things in a linear fashion, or updating with "new chapters".

Don't Smother Your Creativity. You can try to "rein it in", and keep things under control so you can create a cohesive saga that your readers can follow. But ultimately, run with all and whatever ideas make you happy and inspired! Believe me, I'm the one of the most stressed out (self-inflicted) writers out there, but we gotta remember the primary goal of fanfic is FUN, right? <3 Just write The Thing and don't worry about it, especially if publishing/sharing isn't your main goal anyway.

Interests: -I love music of most genres and discussing it, but primarily I am a fan of various rock and metal subgenres and to a lesser extent rap but almost all I know about rap I learned from my girlfriend. I get real specific with what makes me tick and what bores me however. Lately I listen to a lot of old folk music, blues and americana.

-I am a massive vocaloid fan. My all time favorite producer is Kikuo, I have been a fan of his work for maybe 7 or 8 years now. I am also very fond of Pinocchio-p and various others. My favorite vocaloid overall is Meiko, but flower might be my favorite voicebank wise. -I'm a fan of many a videogame including but not limited to Fallout (I specifically like 1 2 and New Vegas but I can enjoy the others and talking about them) FFXIV and Elder Scrolls, those are probably the main ones I'm obsessed with. I'm currently REALLY big into pjmoon, Lobotomy Corporation rly hit the right spot for me gameplay wise and I'm caught up with Limbus Company, though I have not yet touched Ruina. It's gonna be hard to keep a convo with me that doesn't involve this atm. If you ever want someone to raid with on FFXIV or do literally anything with especially if youre new to the game or high end content pleaseeee hmu it will be so fun but also hmu about your wol lore Im obsessed with it you could be a completely random ass stranger with 0 posts and no profile picture but I have to hear about your catboy especially if you want me to dump wol lore on you also. My favorite FFXIV character is probably Hermes as far as actual writing goes, but I have a folder for Asahi made up entirely of in game screenshots that contains let me check yeah 961 images so that's a fun fact about me, there really isn't a whole lot to his character but that never stopped me before. -Other than games other fandom stuff I like is a lot of animated shows. I love watching moe and anything cute and high energy, aside from that to list my favs I really like Gintama, MP100, Mushishi, Kino's journey, Mononoke, K-On, Bocchi, Eizouken I also like One Piece (watching the anime atm), but I have some polarizing opinions on the anime I think Im gonna switch to the manga frankly. And yea Jojo but Im mostly an anime only, part 4 is probably my favorite but Joseph is my favorite protag. I love Arcane, but Ive never touched League of Legends, I just watch the cinematics. I'm also a Futurama fan, it was my fav childhood show I've seen it maybe 5 times and I still like it now. Also I like hxh a lot and my all time favorite character in any visual medium ever is Illumi but I hate Hisoka and have all tags related to him blocked so life is hard for me sometimes.

-As for manga Im reading Witch Hat Atelier, Spy X Family, Ya Boy Kongming! part 7 of Jojo and Golden Kamuy rn mostly, I'm not much of a manga reader as reading anything online bothers me. I love Junji Ito's works. I haven't read very many other comics recently, only Watchmen and V for Vendetta, which I thought were good. My all time favorite manga is Shimanami Tasogare. -Been watching X Files, Twin Peaks and Columbo and I'm a fan of all of the above. I've already seen Twin Peaks once, but I was a child and didn't get it and don't remember anything and my girlfriend rarely wants to watch it with me but Im tryiung to force them. Many such cases. -I love reading, lately I really enjoy Camus, also I read Hesse's Demian the day before I had top surgery and it left a strong impression which I pondered over when waking up from anesthesia, so now that book is very dear to me as a result. I have been raised to have a positive relationship with literature, so just being around or discussing books can make me happy, though I tend to alternate between an infinite amount of them and struggle to finish them, which is the same thing I do with all media teehee. I've liked E. A. Poe basically my entire life. I also like reading plays and poetry, I'll read basically any form of writing so go ahead and send me recommendations! But keep in mind I have a lot of classics to catch up on, so I don't read much recent literature. I also will not read fanfiction unless it was written by somebody I care about. I'm open to reading VNs and have read a few of the popular ones, but I already have some on my backlog and am currently reading through Subarashiki and Slow Damage (Towa as a character rly resonates with me so its hard to hate the game despite the rough points but I certainly wouldnt recommend it to anybody...idk) -I like a lot of movies, but my main passion lies in horror. I am equally passionate about movies I hate however so watch out! I do not criticize the media I consume to bask in my hatred and be negative, I love analyzing things and what I like or dislike about them, but I understand completely if you do not like this as much as I do. I generally tend to be more critical of media that takes itself seriously or is propped up as a masterpiece or something very unique for its respective genre, when it doesn't live up to those expectations. Though I do not consider myself a snob and will often watch bad movies for fun or enjoy things I am critical of. I recently saw all of Little Nicky with my friends and it was a great experience. I think the movie is probably one of the worst I've ever seen in my entire life so do check that out. I'm way too into the SAW franchise, I also recently got into Star Wars (I also love kotor 1 and 2 and play swtor sometimes). My favorite slasher series and some of my favorite movies of all time are Child's Play I am also very passionate about John Carpenter's apocalypse trilogy - everyone knows The Thing but what many people don't know is that he has made 2 other movies which are also as you may have guessed about possible ways the world could end, I adore In The Mouth of Madness one of my favorite movies ever. I also like several czech films/films by czech directors they are very dear to me.

There is definitely a lot I forgot here, I have an interest in way too many things and am also glad to learn about ones that are new to me. So in summary I'm open to discuss basically anything, I enjoy texting new people and learning about people, I absorb it like a sponge, you want to give me your opinion on the industrial revolution? Ok! Yay ❤️ I'm a relatively open ''what you see is what you get'' kind of person, but sometimes I struggle to convey what I'm trying to say. I love my gf and friends - and the world and people in general, though I may slip up and imply otherwise if something makes me mad.

This is generally not personal (although it could be ig) instant block reasons range from tangible reasons I might have to dislike someone (right wing or conservative views, smug person etc) to personal distaste and petty mild annoyances (profile says your AGAB in some form for 0 reason, hard to read typing quirks/grammar, talking about your distaste for bugs under every post that so much as mentions them and so on) or simply filtering out content I don't care to see when filtering tags fails me. If you don't know why I might have blocked you, it's very likely it's just a random small reason and says nothing about you. I like most people and I enjoy keeping it that way so when I get online I try to filter out even speech patterns I dislike, because someone I would roll my eyes at on here could otherwise be my friend in a nuanced setting and I don't want to think badly of them. Also. I don't think proship and anti are coherent enough descriptors so I will say personally I think more or less anything goes except for the sexualization of characters that explicitly look like children or animals. Also, a lot of "dark topics" are just an excuse to use shock value or fetishize certain scenarios but I think that is its own problem and boils down to that piece of media sucking. hey there! coming from a teenager who loves your blog, there’s something i’ve been wondering for a while: how do you have so much time? this isn’t judgemental or anything, i honestly just want to know what i’m doing. if you aren’t finding art or comics or reading books and posting a screenshot, you’re writing whole essays or replying to asks or adding onto posts with a whole number of your usual well thought out paragraphs. it’s perhaps a little enviously that i, awestruck, ask how you do it?

Hi!  Honestly, a lot of it just comes down to practice and multitasking.  That and I might seem like I’m doing more than I am--almost all of my blog is run on a queue, so I may seem active throughout the day like today for instance, but I’ve really only been around for an hour or so, the rest is just posts I shoved in my queue.  It’s not that I can’t spend several hours on tumblr stuff (I do sometimes!), it’s just not as much as it might appear! I read books during my commute or listen to audiobooks while I do on-line stuff or while I’m cleaning, I’m reasonably fast at writing the kind of meta or shitposts that I want to write, I don’t do fancy gifs so I can put together a set in like 10-15 minutes if I’m just making them for a meta’s sake, etc.  I’ve got my stuff organized so I can just dive right in, like I have a folder on my computer just for book screenshots and a folder just for comic screenshots and I’ve streamlined my process of dumping the files in there for when I’m ready, then whipping through them quickly when I’m in the mood to liveblog something.  And I have my sources lined up, like I have Hoopla or my library ready to go whenever I hop over there, so I don’t have to spend a lot of time hunting content down. And a lot of that just comes with time, I’ve been at this for a few years and it used to take me so much longer to put together a post!  Now, I’ve put enough Star Wars thoughts into words that I usually know what I want to say and what words I want to say it in within, like, half an hour to an hour.  Responses or tag spirals are just a handful of minutes because I’m hip-deep in the kind of jokes or commentary I want to make.  I don’t have to delete and rewrite parts of posts as often because I have strong views of what I think and practice at putting them into words.  I don’t have to search for the quotes I want to cite as much because I’ve used them often enough that I can remember which ones I want better or I look them up in the document I put together. In contrast, it takes me two-three times as long to write a Tolkien meta piece that’s not even half as in depth because I have to look a ton of stuff up or I have to reread everything so much more carefully, and it’s a slow process! It just comes down to time and practice, for me and I’m pretty sure that it’ll come for you as well.  Even in non-SW fandoms (like Tolkien!), I’m faster than I used to be, because I’ve practiced at phrasing things the way I want them, like a writer gets better at writing the more they do it, or an artist gets better at drawing the more they do it.  It’ll always take effort and be frustrating at times, but you will get better at it and it won’t take as much time as it does now. It might seem like everything is a ton of work for you right now (if you’re like me, that is! XD) or that it just takes so long, but eventually you will find ways to make your process more efficient (like it’s nothing for me to clip out a book quote from my folder because I’ve done it a thousand times, I practically do it with my eyes closed now) and you will gain practice at how you want your post structure to sound and you won’t have to think about it so much and you’ll find yourself writing an entire essay in half the time and so you’ll do another one, as long as you have time, and you’ll like like you have all the time in the world, but really you’re just spending as much or as little time on-line as you always have!  Fandom, for all that it is a hobby, is one that’s also a skill, just like knitting or crocheting or reading or writing.  The more you do it, the more you’ll find your groove with it!

TS2 Downloads Ramblings

I've got some TS4 pics to drop in a moment, but this post is to ramble about TS2!

TS2 is still my all-time favorite entry in the series. Problem is, I've felt overwhelmed with it the past few years. I think I finally realized the reason why: It's my damn downloads folder.

Now, this folder clocks in at 4.72GB, as I compressed several years ago and the download standard in the community is to compress your files before upload. I've also gone through several computer iterations, with my current one running an SSD so the size is no issue. However, if you've been around long enough you may remember The Defaulting Project of 2015. If you don't, you can view it chronologically by clicking HERE.

If I could tell my 17 year old self anything, it would be to not default the whole damn game. The entire set of hairstyles, maybe, but some of the outfits are still fine by me (though some of them can stay back in the 2000s where they belong).

I was thinking about this last night... I may just dump* whole downloads folder and start from scratch. While the default project is from 2015, I have had the contents of the folder since 2011. That's 12 years worth of custom content I don't always use any more! I'm thinking about doing a soft start next weekend, since I'll have more time with the holiday.

*For the record: I'm not deleting the whole thing. This folder is an artifact in of itself. It'll still exist in my backups like my other CC for games, but it won't be the "main" folder any more.

Crumpled Up Pages: Old Captain Underpants WIPs #1-4

The First Epic Movie turned 5 earlier this month, and I dug through some old folders to write this post about it. In the process, I found some fanfic ideas I’d written down, fleshed out a little, and then forgot about for years. So while hyperfixation still has its grip on me (and while there’s still some extra activity in the tag), I figured I’d finally set these dust bunnies free!

A few ground rules before this deep dive descends:

When I say “fleshed out a little,” I’m putting major emphasis on the “little.” Some of these docs contain detailed notes and snippets of dialogue, but others are just a title and a vague one-sentence summary. I’ll be transparent about what each one contains, and try to fill in the bigger gaps by memory.

If you were around for the CU Fandom Renaissance of 2017, some of the ideas here might sound familiar, ‘cus I refitted them into fanart and headcanon dumps that actually got posted. I’ll link to those where they’re relevant.

These were all written and abandoned months before a CU show was even announced, so there’s no Epic Tales content or characters in here. Sorry if you were expecting any!

I’m splitting this into two posts cus it was getting and taking too long. This first part will cover the 4 simplest, fluffiest WIPs; the second one will tackle the 6 sadder, more character-heavy ones. And with character-heavy stuff comes spoilers for the movie and books — especially the books. If you haven’t read all 12, you’re probably wondering why anyone would care about Captain Underpants spoilers. First off, your loss; second off, BEWARE!

And finally: if you write fanfiction and feel inspired to use any of these ideas? You have my permission to do so! Seriously, steal anything here and put your own spin on them! I don’t care much for credit, but if these old things help fuel someone else’s creativity, I’d love to know!

WIP #1: Inspiration

It can come from even the worst of places. ...And people, in this case. [Book!Verse, pre-Book 1.]

This document contains a long script, but no context; I can remember the gist though, so I’ll insert that in-between dialogue. Basically it’s third grade, and George and Harold are in detention again. They cheat to fill up the blackboards like usual, but they’re too bummed out to start a comic afterwards. George sits around stewing in his frustration while Harold angry-scribbles Mr. Krupp yelling.

“...Why does he hate us so much, George?”

“I dunno. Maybe ‘cause he can’t handle our coolness? …Nice drawing, by the way.”

“Thanks. …It’s making me sad just lookin’ at it, though.”

“Yeah, me too. …I wonder what he’d look like if he smiled.”

“...?”

“...I mean, like, a real smile, not an I’ve-got-you-now smile.”

“Oh. Hmmm…”

Harold erases Krupp’s wide yelling mouth and draws a goofy smile in its place.

“Aw, man, now it’s just creepy.”

“Darn.”

The boys keep editing the drawing until it stops being creepy and starts being funny. George erases Krupp’s toupee, remembering the time they stole it and the teachers couldn’t take him seriously without it. Harold draws one of his office curtains around his neck, adding more color and kinetic energy. Soon they’re struggling not to laugh out loud, but they manage to calm down… until George gets an idea that takes the sketch from great to legendary.

“Waitwaitwaitwaitwait. Remember what my pop said about Superman yesterday?”

“That he looks like… DUDE. Duuuuuude.”

Harold redraws Krupp’s entire lower body so he’s only wearing underwear. Then with a flourish, he adds the finishing touch – two dots on his chest – and they both lose it. All their laughter finally prompts the real Krupp to check on them, and predictably, he rips up the drawing. It upsets the boys in the moment, but they’re still in much higher spirits than before, and brainstorm a new comic about their new creation as they skateboard home.

“You think we should make his origin issue first?”

“Naw, let’s get right to the action! His outfit’s already the perfect hook – finally, a superhero who actually does fly around in his underwear!”

“Yeah, and he could fight with Wedgie Power!”

God, rediscovering this gave me the most uncontrollable grin. From the date it was last opened, I think this fic was meant for September 1st, 2017 (Book 1’s 20th anniversary), and I gave up after missing it. For shame, 2017!me. For shame.

WIP #2: Untitled Boomer One-shot

Harold won’t admit it, but he’d slay a dragon for his little sister. [Book!Verse but only cus this scene was deleted and is thus dubiously canon]

This doc’s nothing but notes, so I’ll paraphrase the plot: Ms. Hutchins takes Heidi and Harold to Boomer the Purple Dragon: Live! Harold was gonna stay with the Beards but they cancelled last minute, and he’s grumpy about it the whole time. When the show ends, kids gather in front of the stage to meet Boomer; Ms. Hutchins suddenly gets an important call, and makes Harold walk Heidi up there. 

But the dragon’s mascot suit is big up close for a 6-year-old, and Heidi gets so scared she starts crying. She’s rooted to the spot and waves her arms in panic, but “Boomer” thinks she wants a hug and waddles closer and closer... until Harold kicks him in the groin. Their mom understandably grounds him for it, but Heidi is grateful and calls him her hero :)

This one was based on the classic “kid hits mascot in the weak spot” genre of AFV, but also on an early memory of mine! My sister and I loved Arthur as babies, so our mom took us to see this thing. The characters suddenly being real (and huge) was so upsetting that we scream-cried until she took us home early. (Speaking of Arthur, it’s a shame Heidi’s never really done anything in canon, I can see her having big DW energy.)

WIP #3: When Worlds Collide

It was less “love at first sight” and more “love at first squawk.” [Book!Verse, Book 7.]

A quick refresher: George told Harold to take Crackers back to dinosaur times, but he left her in the treehouse with Sulu instead. Later in the book, they’re shown snuggling in their sleep 🥺🥺 Anyway, this fic was about what they got up to in between! It’s actually the most complete of the lot, but only because it’s so short and simple.

It opens with Harold introducing them to each other, leaving out some treats for them (hamster food for Sulu, crackers for Crackers), then telling them to play nice until he comes back. They do not. Crackers pulls a Thunderclap the moment Harold leaves, Sulu karate-chops her throat until she spits him out, and they wreck half the treehouse in the ensuing chase.

Eventually they settle for standing in opposite corners and hissing at each other. Then Sulu… *squints* …records Crackers’ hisses with his bionic ears and plays them back so they can communicate? …Yeah, okay, why not. The outline ends after this sudden development; I’m guessing they talk things out and start to catch feels, before settling in to sleep. Anyway here’s the few sentences I actually wrote out:

Harold opened the door, Sulu got on the floor, and in walked the curious dinosaur.

[…] As predator and prey faced off, a little boy and his mother happened to be walking down Vine Street. “Mommy,” said the little boy, “I can hear a bionic hamster and a pterodactyl fighting in that treehouse!”

“Oh, please,” his mother scoffed. “How do you even know what that would sound like?”

The boy considered pointing out the CHOMPs, SQUEAKs, and SQUAAAWKs emanating from the tree in big blocky letters, but decided it wasn’t quite worth the trouble.

The doc ends with a reminder to not refer to Crackers with any pronouns until the two pets can understand each other. Also I was gonna title this after a Tony Orlando and Dawn song as foreshadowing, but I couldn’t choose one, so instead I went with this Spongebob song lol.

WIP #4: Untitled Tommy One-shot

The school’s been near bully-free ever since Treehouse Comix Inc. was formed. Tommy reflects on this from the safety of his locker. [Movie!Verse with a hint of Book 9. CW: discussion of bullying.]

A Kid I Never Named knocks on Tommy’s locker and offers to trade Pilkeymon. They have to be sneaky, because it’s the 90′s and they have to slip a Link Cable through the locker vents without being spotted.

As they trade, the other kid asks Tommy why he hides all the time. He explains that it’s a habit from when Kipper Krupp terrorized the halls. But Kipper left four years ago, and the legend of Wedgie Magee has kept other bullies at bay ever since; the other kid points this out and asks why he still hides. This led into “a somber discussion on adverse school experiences and the long-lasting coping mechanisms they cause” (exact words from the doc). Unfortunately 2017!me never wrote any dialogue, and I’m mad at her for that.

Trivia drop! I used the Pilkeymon joke a few times at @treehouseblogsinc, but it’s way older than that, and also not mine: Pilkey.com used to have a coloring game named Pilkeymon’s Paintbox. It even had art of Dav’s old spiky-haired avatar with Pikachu ears! There’s no trace of it on the Internet anymore, but I swear I’m not making this up.

I left a note here to add that Tommy has glow-in-the-dark stickers in his locker, which ended up in this headcanon dump. There’s also a list of last names I came up with for him but never chose between: Chambers, Lakatos (which I shared once here), and Lockenspiel. Right now I’m leaning towards the last one, it rolls nicely off the tongue.

-like 4 separate WIPs of ‘joint midlife crisis’ Zahied & TD engaging in their unsanctioned fraternizing in early times/getting to know each other -- however eagerly (TD) or reluctantly (Zahied). -Alliance-era, mid-50s Zahied thinks hard abt where he is, tells TD he ready to dump him (probably. Soon. --For real, though. NO relapses. When it’s done it’s /done/, 100%. Swearing off this shit- . . . Yes, he’ll still teach ur damn kids their hand-to-hand fighting.)

-Alliance-era TD, fraught with relationship issues/feelings(???) beyond his comprehension (dumped by his boyfriend; wife still touchy that he is hot for his boss; boss ignoring him b/c 1. she has never considered him significant or attractive 2. she’s busy with the happiness of being reunited with her bug husband), takes a team (incl. his Apprentice) to Hoth for a mission, where they lose contact with home base & can’t send an update to confirm they’re still alive. --He thinks that’s fine he didn’t want to hear from anyone there for a While anyway-- (but something else Will go wrong.) -Agent Vensys is assigned as chaperone for traitor-on-probation Sith Lord Liio (going Where? idk) -- which may be AU content, or I might make it canon. . . or I might split off into 2 different versions (one where they potentially makeout a little, & one for sailing the crack ship onward to far-distant horizons that veer OOC for at least 1 of them). Lolll. -(?canon?) Kallir has a nice day. -Kallir runs afoul of a posse of Imperial troops privately harboring anti-Sith sentiments in a garrison on Taris (? question mark). (Visiting pumpkin Agent was witnessed holding hands with a Sith who recently came by) -- I’m evaluating how much violence I’ll include as canon. (Less than I wrote. . . but some. He definitely gets bullied. Punches someone in the throat. Maybe knifes a guy a little bit?? I wrote that scene, but I’m not sure it’ll fit.) -Kallir undergoing an entire ordeal living among space pirates & becoming slightly unhinged. -in AU: Kallir (the Minister of Intelligence), dragged away from the tail end of a formal ball, puts up with Vensys plying his charms at him (again)

-total shipping AU: Kallir, Liio, & Zahied, lonely hearts club, attempt to distract one another from mountains of baggage in the only way that comes to their minds when they recognize everyone else is hot and thirsty. (Fellas. . . you’re a mess. Sorry I’m so into that.)

Well- the extent of research I’m willing to do is stuff like “what’s this place/object look like in SWTOR?”, or “what does the internet say about these star wars aliens?”

TD going to Hoth to blow up a Star Fortress maybe (regrettably, I don’t know the relevant lore & I’ve been incapable of doing the gameplay I want to do to get there).

Current word count of all your main wips?

I do Not track those stats. . . I think I know which are the longest, though.

-Part 1 of Liio/Kallir/Zahied AU is. . . 54 pages (for. . .3-4 scenes, essentially. dkfshgkjf). -Part 2 combined WIPs are 15 + 6 + 3 + .2 (a paragraph) (split up due to time-jumping mid-draft, starting a new file, & returning to unfinished business when I feel like it)

Fic that isn’t a total departure from character canon: -Part 1 (of the in-depth edition) of Kallir’s pirate story is a 32 page WIP, w/ an 18-page side chapter (which might not get any longer) -Part 2: 6 pages so far.  -Aftermath follow-up: 7 so far.

How many projects do you have going on right now? Are there any that you doubt you’ll ever finish?

(My answer to question 1 is more-or-less my entire list) It’s hard to say I Won’t finish anything, but also--I don’t often finish writings.

What was you first major project? How far along is it?

And I wouldn’t necessarily call any of them ‘major’ projects (pirate fic got pretty big--but. idk). . .

My first SWTOR fic was for TD & Quinn, and I got lost on it. lol. It’s one of those drafts that feels convoluted to look at (there’s a lot of patchwork pieces), & I’m not sure exactly how much of it is worth having in there or what I actually Want to write into it. (Quinn is hilarious to write, though.)

What are some tropes and character dynamics found in your wips?

. . . gay little scene-slice stories of charged & intimate interactions--aggressive or/and soothing. Just people having their emotional problems in various Situations (sometimes amid danger/stress. . . sometimes when they are trying to enjoy themselves. . . Sometimes those mix).

So. . . tame (generally tame.) psychological whump (mainly psychological.) I Guess. H/C-aligned.

Describe the setting of one or more of your wips

All my stories are in settings of Convenience, and usually defined more by who is there than details of the place itself. (eg. I’m picturing “Kallir gets bullied for having a Sith bf” somewhere on Taris b/c it seems like the kind of place where the military doesn’t get a lot of oversight). Nothing too exciting (or original).

What are some things that inspired your stories? Real events? Maybe a dream?

Game events sometimes, of course. ehehh.

I also have. . . not uncommonly come up w/ concepts for scenarios based on outfits. (Pirate fic arose b/c I previewed the Belsavis zap collar on Kallir. Vensys’ formal outfit was the starting point for that AU fic with the formal event)

What story are you the proudest of? Why?

I dunnoooo-- I have. . . a weird relationship w/ my writings. I don’t have consistent feelings about them (whether I think anything is so good or absolutely Unbearably terrible/cringe changes based on my own moods), and. . . A lot of the time I’m ashamed even making some/most of them for various reasons.

. . .BUT. I was (and still am) pretty proud of how I wrote our charas in the pumpkin-meets-Severine mini-story from a While back (which I just re-blogged cuz of the improvement edits last night). hehe. On fire w/ that one, writing a couple of my favorite personalities--successfully (I’d say) channeling a character that’s not even mine. 

And I don’t feel like I wasted my time if it’s a gift 4 a friend & I’ve been able to make their day with it. <3 We luv our charas. hell yeaaaaaaa

I literally managed to get through the 12th anniversary of my first child's stillbirth this year without having a huge meltdown over it, just to stumble across the wrong Tumblr account literally a month later and seeing multiple photos of dead babies without my consent. No context, no warning, no nothing. Just someone posting multiple photos of stillborn baby corpses, including their own.

The blog mentioned to tag stillbirth, miscarriage, child loss, ect because they were sensitive to it, but never outright mentioned about posting it. I scrolled down their page and saw a huge group of photos of a dead newborn baby, possibly stillborn, naked or diapered. Untagged, mind you, I have those tags hidden. One of the photo sets had "does this disturb you?" In big letters like it was a PSA or something.

I had to run to the bathroom before I threw up, sobbing and screaming. I felt like I couldn't breathe and I just kept seeing the pictures and remembering my own losses extremely vividly. I couldn't think and I just keep sobbing.

And I get that people take pictures with their stillborn children to keep their memory and help grieve, but I don't know why people share them on social media publicly. Or if you do, you should tag it properly, have it under a cut, or put it in a folder or link. Something.

Some people are extremely triggered and traumatized by things like this and we don't need to see things like that at 8:00 a.m. in the morning without our consent.

Now I have to pack up my entire house, because not only am I still getting evicted and I'm still moving, I have to take care of both of my small rainbow babies today, and I have to do so while having flashbacks of imagery of both the stillborn babies that I just had to see, but also I'm going to be having flashbacks of my own recurrent miscarriages and stillbirth, which I did not need today.

I fucking hate the internet and I fucking hate social media so much sometimes because of shit like this. All of us are dealing with shit that is upsetting and disturbing and it's not a problem to talk about it or share it but please give people a chance to decide whether or not they actually want to see this stuff or hear about it before you just show it or trauma dump everything.

This is why I have such a long disclaimer at the beginning of each of my YouTube videos that I'm going to be talking about shit like when I was raped and when I've experienced violence and miscarriages and medical trauma. You don't dump the shit on people blind.

  - - (long post warning) This is a list of waiting room ideas/inspiration for you! It includes waiting room examples and portal examples- a “portal” being the doorway from your waiting room to your DR. Know that a waiting room isn’t necessary! It’s a place where you can take a breath before entering your Desired Reality, where you can edit scripts or just take a breather for a moment.

1) Childhood Bedroom

  This waiting room is something more nostalgic, familiar. This is a bedroom from your past. Having spent the more carefree years here, you feel the tension bleed out of your shoulders, dissipating, and then gone.

  You can still recognize the battered old notebooks on your desk, those glittery lisa frank gel pens. You crack a smile. This table is a bit too short, the chair definitely so, but you sit anyways. You open one of the little notebooks so find one of your scripts, holding every detail you wished to remember. If you don’t script, it simply holds a few recollections and details from your DR. This brings a true smile to your face.

  This Waiting Room feels like a warm hug. It feels like sneaking out of bed to listen to the TV from the hallway, like drinking warmed milk when you can’t sleep, like holding stuffed toys close to your heart. You curl your toes into the floor and stare up at your popcorn ceiling.

  From here, all you need to do to get home is select your DR from the pile of old notebooks before you, then step out your door. Don’t worry; on the other side is a portal to your Desired Reality, and you are going home.

2) Office

  The office is a bit dim. The curtains are half-pulled, allowing the hazy light of early morning to filter through. It illuminates the dust flying through the air. The desk is sturdy, the chair comfortable, and the typewriter old.

  In the drawer at your desk, there is a pile of folders. Take them out, examine them. Inside is the uniform lettering of your script, as if typed from this same typewriter. Go ahead and read them, decide where you're shifting to tonight. Again, if you don’t script, these are simply recollections and details about your Desired Reality.

  Once you have picked the reality you wish to shift to, put the files back where you found them and walk to your window. Take the curtains and gently close them. When you open them again, you will find a portal to your Desired Reality in place of the glass. Step through, now. Go home. You can do this.

3) Old Library

  Your waiting room is an old library, as vast or as cozy as you’d like. The shelves are lined with every story you could possibly imagine, every script you’ve written and every notebook you’ve yet to fill. Take one from the shelf, relax in the plush chair by the window. There’s a table next to it holding- is that a quill and inkwell? Edit your script to your liking. When you are ready, dump the remaining ink onto the floor. It will expand into a portal leading to your Desired Reality. When you are ready, simply step through. You are entirely capable of doing this, and you will go home.

4) Heavenly Cloud

  This Waiting Room is in a sky-like realm, with clouds in place of dirt and no earth in sight. Perhaps there are walls with huge, gaping entrances; beds of the softest satin; smooth stairs that lead up and down and nowhere at all. Everything is tinted your favorite color. You can see just fine, as if the sun is shining all around you, but there is no sun in sight. You may bask in this soft glow, feeling the cotton softness of the cloud beneath your feet. Can you taste that faint petrichor at the back of your throat? Hear the sprinkling of rain somewhere in the distance?

  Here, you are weightless- jump from cloud to cloud as much as you’d like, and know you will never be lost. As you leap across this strange sky, you find that the clouds you’d thought were empty are actually holding sparkling portals in their centers. You can see your Desired Reality in them. Jump through when you’re ready to go home. It will be waiting for you.

5) Greenhouse Maze

  The Greenhouse is a labyrinth you never seem to lose yourself in. There’s ivy crawling up the wrought-iron framing, spanning across the fogged glass. The flowers here are soft to the touch, and their aroma danced around you, calming. You can hear your footsteps as you walk, and you know that you are safe.

  Every corridor holds a different marble bust or statue. As you draw nearer to them, you realize that they are people and memories from your Desired Reality. Perhaps they are your Desired Self. Examine these marble carvings, touch the stone on which they rest. There, you’ll find inscriptions and secret openings leading to passageways underneath them. These each lead to their own Reality- you decide where you’ll go tonight. You hold all the power you need. Go home, now.

6) Mythical Forest

  This place drives away all worry, replacing fear with a content serenity. The sky is dark, but the mushrooms and bugs all glow in the dark, illuminating your way. There’s bioluminescent algae in the ponds, flowers that look like fire lining your path, and rainbow caterpillars that sparkle like disco balls.

  As you walk along these old stones, you pass different portals in the form of fallen trees, hollowed out roots, and dark caves. Thinking about Posts and Tumblr

So I responded to an earlier post from @kalesims in the comments. I probably should have reblogged it so I didn't have to break up my response which may have made it less than useful (and potentially read to mean the opposite of what I meant), but I also wanted to move a bit beyond the initial prompt with this longer one. I have not posted much Sims stuff in awhile. Part of this is because school and work demands are eating so much of my time right now1, part of this that ongoing pursuit of perfection we all seem to have to some extent on social media, and part of it is because I may have dumped my entire CC folder into my game without sorting it properly and now it runs like rubbish and I have to fix it. Regardless, I'm going to focus on issue #2 the ongoing pursuit of perfection, because I think this is the most relevant bit and the one I've been thinking a lot about lately. Tumblr is a social media platform. (This bit is a little academic, sorry.) I think we all know that, but do we ever really think about what that means? It's ultimately a company that provides a public-facing platform with the explicit intent of marketing ourselves to each other. More likes and followers for you=more ads and money for Tumblr, but they have to incentivize that for any of us to care. How do they do that? Make it a popularity contest. How often do you look at your likes or followers count? What emotional response do you have when they're low? How many creators incentivize new followers or more likes by releasing content to correlate with milestones in those areas? This is all part of feeding that beast2. It also draws on something referred to academically as the "hedonic treadmill," which is basically the keeping up with the Joneses mentality where we constantly compare our success to our peers and find ourselves wanting, even if we aren't. This is going somewhere, I promise.

When I first started Tumblr, I had one blog: transcendentcacophony. I started it explicitly to follow sims blogs I liked and keep track of the cc I downloaded or things that caught my attention, and my initial posts all reflected that. After I was on for a while, I realized most blogs compartmentalized to a certain degree: you have a blog for gameplay, a blog for cc finds, a blog for interest x, etc., so, not being particularly versed in these things, I thought "This is how you tumble!" and immediately set about creating sideblogs like transcendentcacophonyinspire, transcendentcacophonys3cc, or transcendentcacophonystudyblr. I went through my entire archive, moved everything over to its new home, and deleted the original posts and reblogs from this page. Does that mean I think having all the sideblogs is wrong? Nope. The organization of having sideblogs is sometimes helpful, but they they make me feel kind of fractured on some level. None of these provide an image of a whole person, just brief glimpses of an aspect. Sometimes I regret having split the off, other times I find it more convenient. Mileage may vary, but the obvious winner for the sideblog model is arguably Tumblr. None of my blogs have many followers, but there isn't as much overlap in audience as you might think and if they were all still one blog, I doubt there'd be as many as there are.

This raises the question of who you intend your blog to be for. Is it for Tumblr, so they can keep making that sweet sweet ad revenue? Is it for the online audience? Or is it for you? Who do you see as your primary audience? The structure of social media clearly wants us to say everyone else. "You're here for the likes! The followers! The popularity!" Other companies lean in to this as well. How many followers do you have to have to qualify as an EA Game Changer?

I would argue that it's this pressure to have all likes, followers, etc., that prohibit us from posting what we really want to post. Are you posting the things that actually make you happy? Or are you posting the things that you think an audience wants to see?

Learning anything takes a lot of practice. How many times did you fall off before you learned to ride a bike? How many broken and malformed pots do you make before you get a perfect one? We learn by doing. Waiting for that perfect screenshot or getting reshade just right or having the perfect city in CAW keeps us from posting our broken pots. Maybe we need to post more broken pots.

If something makes us happy, does it need to be perfect, or do we love it anyway? "This is my first pot! It sucks, but I made it! Finishing it alone is an accomplishment! It's mine and I'm learning and I want to show that process so we can all get better together!" Shouldn't our screenshots or gameplay or worldbuilding be the same?

I am building a world in CAW. I've been doing it for quite awhile, and I have an entire folder full of broken pots as a result, but I learned something every time I broke one. When I read CAW forums, I learn more from the ones where things don't work than from ones where they do. I post some of my broken pots, and simmers like @nilxis or @murfeelee are so supportive and helpful and give me tips on how to better and fix issues I'm having. I value that part of this community. I don't learn to do better by not showing off my broken pots.

I know some of my interests are pretty niche. I'm building an alien scifi world, I have conversion projects from games that support that but probably won't be useful to mainstream simmers. I made a series of alien moons in conjunction with simblu, who is now deactivated. These are arguably not things that will get a lot of likes, reblogs, or followers, but they are things that make me happy. Kurt Vonnegut once said when he wrote books, he always wrote with only 2 people in mind: himself and his sister. His goal was that at the very least he would like what he wrote, and a few of the books were written with her in mind, and if anyone else liked it, it was just gravy. I can’t say I’m a fan of the man’s writing, but I kind of like the idea of this mentality.

To that end, I think I'm going to change up how I use this blog moving forward, with the express goal of posting more often and with more emphasis on things that make me happy or show off more of my broken pots. Maybe it will cost me followers, maybe it won't, but it will help me carve this little niche out of the internet that is mine, that makes me happy, and that seeks to support the simmers and other community members3 that have been so supportive of me in the past. If just one or two people get something from it, or are entertained, isn’t that still just as valid?

I don't mean to imply in any way that posting what makes you happy can't make you popular, or gain likes and followers. It's very much possible. Vonnegut wrote his books for himself and he published 14 novels, three short story collections, five plays, and five nonfiction works, complete with film adaptations of several, literary prizes, etc. You can be successful doing what you love.

But I don't know that I need to be successful at it. I want to be happy doing it first, and anything outside of that is gravy. I'm going to post more broken pots and worry less about perfection or "doing it right." I'm going to fall off the bike and get back up and keep going. And maybe, by falling and failing, I'll get better or at least good enough or comfortable enough I'm not worried so much about that quest for perfection that is currently prohibiting me from trying.

Anyways, @kalesims, I don't know if that answers the original question you had. But I'd love to see what you post, be it gameplay, screenshots, cc, etc., really whatever floats your boat, moving forward. And, if you're willing, I'd love to learn by doing together. Let's go break some pots.

On Sunlit Tides: Reflections

So, I stole this idea from notjustabooksims to do a reflections post when I saw her gen 2 wrap-up post a few months back. This won’t be nearly as in-depth, but I just wanted to write up a lil something, and also talk about my plans for after OST. 

This has been, without a doubt, the best and most rewarding experience I’ve had writing a sim story thus far. I’ve had others, and completed (2?) of them, but in the past I’ve found my experience being constantly marred by bad interactions, or feeling pressured to move the stories or characters in directions which I hadn’t planned. OST was the first story that I stayed genuine with through to the end, and had nothing but positive responses from all of you, and I’m incredibly grateful for it. What started as a silly foray into exploring the Island Living EP turned into a 7-month long adventure, and I had so much fun with this story at every point. Even when I took breaks or went off and did other things in the midst of it all, I still kept wanting to come back to it. Now that’s it’s completed, I get so nostalgic over the earlier chapters and just what it was like to be in those moments. I loved building all of the sets for this story, and I feel like I’ve learned a lot from this in terms of workflow that I can hopefully apply to new stories moving forward.

I’m very sad to be retiring the OST world and characters, but I’ll still likely feature the sims sparingly on my main blog. I am, however, happy to be moving on. As much love as I have for this story, the amount of time I’ve dedicated to the project has been absolutely monumental. It consumed large portions of my days and overall mental space and I’m just really looking forward to a break. Which leads me to what happens now that the story is done? Will I be doing more stories? Will this blog go dark? 

Well, for now, and for a while, my plan has been to take a good, long hiatus from simblr. Likely I will be pretty quiet here on Simlit for the time being. I have a few meme things and ask tags to catch up on, but once I finish with those I will be jumping back over to my main for further posting. I don’t plan on doing much in the way of sims content for right now. I just want to relax, play my game at leisure, and that likely means I’ll just being doing interiors or sim pics sparsely when I feel the desire. I think I’ll take a couple months before I commit to something this heavy again. In the meantime, I plan on catching up on all of your stories and posts that I’ve let fall to the wayside while I hyper focused on my own project. Hopefully I can be generally more interactive now that my time is freed up. 

I’m also planning on doing massive pose dumps; I have tons of stuff in my story folder that I need to get organized and edit up a little bit, and I can post it over on my pose library for those of you who are on the list. Anyone reading this who is a mutual, interactive reader, and is interested in my sims 4 poses (and who are not already on the list obviously), please send me a private message. I’ll probably post some previews and things for you guys to yay or nay, because I’m not sure what all is worth putting up for download and what isn’t. But that’s neither here nor there. 

As of right now, I don’t have any plans or desire to continue the OST storyline. I do have a sequel outlined in the event I ever change my mind, and I set up the ending to allow for me to weave it in if I so choose, but that’s for Future Jade to parse out. Current Jade needs to sleep for 86 years and my interest as far as what story I’ll be posting next (because yes! there will be one!), will be an entirely new project. Having this secondary blog has allowed me a lot more freedom to do and post what I want without feeling boxed in, so I think I will definitely do another story once I’m good and rested. I’ve already started outlining and doing a bit of writing on it, but I will try to pace myself with it, because I just won’t have as much time to dedicate to the game overall this year. But! What I can say is that it’s going to be high fantasy and here be dragons.

My final note to close out all this babbling (sorry for the enormous post!) but I just want to absolutely thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for reading and following me over these months. I’ve met so many new people through writing this story, gained new amazing friends, and grown closer with old friends. This has been a wonderful experience reading your reactions and replies. Just seeing everyone getting so involved and invested in my crazy characters could make me cry. I feel absolutely blessed to have you lovely people as readers. You are all honestly the best of simblr, and that’s a fact. I’ve never been the type of person to want a lot of notes or followers. I prefer to have a small group of close friends, and I feel like I’ve finally found that here on this platform and it is a liberating feeling. I wouldn’t have had as much fun or as much dedication to finishing this project if it wasn’t for all of your support, and I just hope you can understand even a little bit of my gratitude. i have raw videos and gifs separated and the folders inside those are identical - organized by group, then inside each group i have a folder for each member and for each music video or show. and since i do random stuff sometimes too, i keep those in an entirely separate projects folder and just name it whatever the contents of the set are (like i have a folder in there specifically for tracklists). lmao maybe overkill 😂 but it makes sense in my head and i can’t stand unorganized folders (the one exception is my “video dump” folder which is where literally everything from 4k vid downloader goes and stays 5ever, oops)

t h e n, his oceanic hues made contact with a few folders sitting upon her bed. no care flew through his system as he picked them one by one and began dumping her papers all around the floor. after, he took a slight pause. the male knew he didn’t have that much time so he had to be quick. so, he ceaselessly kept looking around for things to destroy. eventually, his attention was drawn to a dresser that was clearly standing on its last leg. without a single moment of consideration, he walked over, pulling out a drawer at a time and dumping their contents on the floor. for good measure, he used all of his strength and the shot of adrenaline provided by his drug of choice to push over the small dresser on its side. afterwards, his idiocy seemed to make a grand appearance because for some reason he thought he could break the dresser. so, he lifted his hand and then attempted to karate chop the wooden dresser. the notion merely resulted in him groaning and rubbing his own hand. however, he was still too hopped up on narcotics to feel the vast amount of pain spreading throughout his hand. all he could focus on was getting his revenge.

s o, he took the red spray paint that jai had placed in the bag and began to spray along her walls. the photos he had left on the wall were spray-painted over. a quick cartoon-ish image of her face with devil horns and a menacing grin was sprayed along her walls. a slew of middle fingers and the word “satan’s unlovable” in thick red lettering had been put beneath his quick, sloppy portrait. for a moment, the male had to halt his antics. fumes dipped into his system and nothing but coughs consumed him. searching -- those eyes rampantly began searching for a window in the vicinity to open. once he found one, his chaotic tendencies appeared yet again. the male grabbed a chair that had been sat within the room and used it to break the window open. once more, the sound of glass shattering became his soundtrack. sounds of glass breaking was the only sound he could identify. the sounds were sure to elicit attention so he had to be quick. once he set the chair down, the lollipop between his lips had been removed and he moved over to the window. as best as he could, he avoided the shards of glass messily fallen around. klyde was reduced to heavy breaths and the loud sounds of him inhaling. yet, once it ceased, he occupied himself with spray painting her dressers, a small closet, her bed, her sheets, her clothes on the floor, and any surface he could find. everything spray painted ranged from the words “fuck you” to horribly quick and rough drawings of middle fingers to “alone forever” all throughout. his creativity was stunted from the copious narcotics. rather than aiding it, it halted his ability to get creative. yet, he still went for it. once the spray paint had found itself on every plausible surface, the boy paused. two hands occupied themselves with grabbing his book bag and placing his spray paint in it. then, he put one strap over his shoulder. two cerulean hues observed the room. one hand removed the lollipop from his mouth. while the other was brought up to his lips for him to do a chef’s kiss. cherry once again infiltrated his taste buds as he put the lollipop back in his mouth. following that action, he emptied the clothes from valencia’s closet. the items were thrown behind, in front, and to the side of him. klyde was aiming to hit the entire room. anything that was standing, had been thrown across the room. however, for his final act of revenge, he grabbed an armful of the remaining clothes in her room and began leaving a trail to the door. one article of clothing was dropped with every step. once he opened the door, a small, “let’s go,” was directed at jai. then, he continued on his journey out of the building. with each step, lingerie, t-shirts, shorts, jeans, leggings, and more had all been dropped one by one.
