7. A medium of art you don’t work in but appreciate: Ohh there are so many types of art out there it is awesome. LIKE, really intricate paper crafts/cut out stuff is SO fun to see. I could not do that <3 AND very realistic sculptures... And pottery... Pottery seems so fun. I'd love to make a bowl <3 Not to mention knitting/crochet/similar!!!! So many things on earth...

8. What’s an old project idea that you’ve lost interest in: I have so many projects that it may be a disease... While a lot of my projects I want to return to eventually, one I have less interest in is My Old Sci-Fi Setting:

(^ various character designs from it) While it's fun to work on when I need a break from more Fantasy-ish settings... it's more of a worldbuilding project than something with a cohesive plot + not something I am too willing to share without a LOTT of work.

Another project that I don't know if I'll return to or not is TerriByte (link is to my tag of it), this is because I have NO clue what I'll do with it. I love it so so so so much I love my 5000 robot/AI characters in a setting that I can just put whatever in. BUT SADLY, it also needs a HUGE overhaul. Overhyped it to myself </3

After DIDL, my highest priority projects would be my Wizards Setting (⌛ part II lives in my head rent free) and then an untitled fantasy setting.

9. What are your file name conventions: This:

Topic and the date of whenever I drew/saved the image, however for the canvases that I draw on themselves.... sometimes the OG file name is not descriptive of the contents (for example: dreamland_worldbuilding_1_07282022 has just become random DL related doodles, mostly.)

#vent tw #vent #i hate this #i hate how strong i have ti be for my health #how much longer do i have to got through this pain #every day is an actual hell to go through #it hurts it hurts so much #i have to just hold on until my next appointment #but its taking so much out of me just to go one with my day #im so tired of dealing with myself of dealing with people #it hurts my body my brain it all hurts so much #im so scared all the time because of my health and i have to pretend like im not to move on with my day #i dont bring my health up with others because i dont want to be negative and i just power through to meet their expectations #but god im starting to reach ny limits of crashing and burning bc of my health its bad #not hospital bad but disable my daily life so i cant do anything at all but barely exist in bed bad #its hard to even focus on a game or social media with how my health is #but i have to power through and just stay strong until my next appointment. I made it this far i can make it to the 28th #im trying to get as much done as i can becaus I hate feeling useless and I KNOW its bad but whats worse is my guilt if i dont do it #its so hard to eat w/o getting sick immediately its so hard to think without my brain hurting its literal hell for me rn #but i really try not to talk abt it bc i hate being a fucking downer or being the center of attention despite the fact that its important

they're the main characters of the ALBUM danger days. also referred to as the fab four. they are members of the larger group simply called the killjoys, played a key role in the analog wars (we'll get to it) and take care of the girl (we'll get to her) the fab four's whole deal is eloquently described by straengeaeons as "they hate capitalism and blow stuff up about it." they're portrayed by the members of mcr in the music videos so ill go ahead and introduce them to u now since their names are decently important going forward we got

party poison - leader of the fab four, he's the only one to have two different masks (the whole masks thing we'll get to later), both pictured above, the second ones called the mousekat store that in ur brainhole not really sure if i'll mention it later. also definitely the one im going to write the most about because spoiler alert these idiots die in like 10 minutes and they dont have a ton of personality to go off of unless you wanna start theorizing hard and i dont feel like that right now

jet star - helpfully labeled for your convenience

fun ghoul - you can't see it well but his mask is like....a really shitty party city zombie mask.

kobra kid - i think its pretty widely accepted fanon that he and party poison are brothers since they're portrayed by mikey and gerard in the music videos. neat.

alongside the fab four we got some other important people (im also going to start using comic panels for these guys cuz the fab four dont have any great comic pictures)

korse - he works as a s/c/a/r/e/c/r/o/w for BLind (better living industries) who have basically taken over the world or at least north america to our knowledge. their capital in a sense is battery city. dont think i mentioned it but this all takes place in post apocalyptic 2019 (the album came out in 2010 ok) around where la is today. anyway back to korse scarecrows are basically really deadly assassins and hes a bit silly. slightly murderous. its ok though he's gay and gets a redemption arc.

dr. death defying - he shows up a bit in the mvs but the pics arent great so im just using comic. hes a dj and has close ties to the fab four, also is vaguely possibly omnipotent? hes a veteran of the analog wars and all around chill great guy. love dr d.

cherri cola - also a dj, has this like. chill uncle energy that matches dr ds very well. really wants to be a dad like so bad. he was a part of the og killjoys with the fab four but didnt die with them and has a little tiny bit of survivors guilt abt that. just a smidge. i like him hes cool

the girl - she doesnt have a name lmao just the girl. very important small child, she's like 6 at the time when the fab four die. her mom was like the leader of the resistance group the killjoys were part of during the analog wars and party poison at least believes that she's going to save them all someday. also the comic panel is her when shes like 16 hence the fact that she looks violently different

tbh if he’s faced away from u i feel like he can basically identify u by his perception of the energy ur giving off…it’s like particularly good w stan who i swear to god he can hear the faintest shitty doc marten scuff against the pavement or the tiniest emo boy nose ring star charm jingle from the other side of planet earth and will RUN

-downside is he has really sensitive ears and is very easily startled by loud noises :( one of my favorite pep!style things is that anytime there’s about to be a loud sound like if stan is about to run the garbage disposal he always always always says LOUD NOISE and warns him aw like stan does not really snap but if u randomly start to make a loud noise he’ll be like dude shut the fuck up ur gonna scare kyle!!!! >:o

-kyle having really good hearing is really funny to me because stan is fucking deaf from listening to music at the apex of volumes and constantly is like WHAT HUH WHO WHAT which pisses kyle off sooooo much — this is a headstannon but stan has perfect pitch so when kyle is yelling at him just to be annoying he goes like a a-flat c woooah f-sharp shsksk

-carries all of stans little adhd boy things before he runs into the mosh pit in return kyle gets to wear stans jacket like his life depends on it ( anemia ) and stan puts his big clunky sticker bombed headphones on him bc it’s loud in there aww also squeezes his hand every time for good luck

-is extremely paranoid and overprotective of his phone because on a middle school field trip cartman asked to borrow a phone to call his mom and kyle did one…kind thing and it bit him in the ass bc cartman found his extremely secret gay ass tumblr blog and like read all of the entries out to everyone there was a lot of personal poetry and shit it was….fuck u cartman

he effectively outed kyle in middle school like that it was really humiliating and brutal

and it wasn’t clear what boy he was talking abt buuuuuut i think we know guys

-when stan is in a major depression episode and can’t get out of bed kyle reads to him <3 it’s his equivalent to when he’s laid up in the hospital in immunocompromised boy hell and stan brings his guitar and sings him songs aaa they’re so cute my sons!!!! pls!!!

also kyle is all stiff and cold and serious like he does not get goofy or vulnerable ever…but sometimes if stan is extra sad he’ll do embarrassing little voices for him just to hear him laugh im soooo

-the reading thing is like extra special to me because reading is like extremely stressful to stan because of his dyslexia and also kyle will rip on stan for basically everything but never ever ever for being dumb EVER!!! EVER!!!

-unlike stan who is uncomfortable receiving compliments on his appearance bc he gets so many and does not believe them, kyle gets like very flustered and overwhelmed by compliments because he is not used to them so if kyle is being annoying and u tell him his hair looks good he will short circuit ( stan does use this for evil and good )

-really bad road rage like is a way better driver than stan ( who is the worst driver ever it’s so scary ) but kyle is scarier bc if u cut him off he will cut ur life support and run u off the road

just wanted to pop in and say that, as a non-ww fan who's been on almost all possible sides of the allegations (been sxually groomed, become codependent on someone w/o their intent, + had sm1 codependent on me w/o my intent), i fully agree w yr take! i get why ppl were/might still be sus due to how the screenshots r presented but even taking all the evidence at face value it doesn't seem "cancel" worthy.

i don't doubt op's feelings + ik how intense it can feel when ur codependent on sm1 but not enough ppl know it can happen w/o the other person cultivating it. ww could have recognized the iffyness of getting involved w a fan in that way + been more understanding of ops mental illness tho often its hard 4 ppl to comprehend how much sm1 else idolizes them esp if they're a small local celeb. it rly seems 2 me like a mutually toxic relationship w real hurt on both ends.

i rly truly feel 4 the op + understand how he was hurt by ww's actions, i hope he can heal n grow from it. it's also so common for ppl w codependent tendencies to feel like they're less at fault for their unhealthy relationships n that's a huge problem that causes these cycles to repeat. but the arguing abt how u can't be groomed if 18+ or a SW (or even naturally tend to be codependent) only hurts real ppl who have been thru it.

i hate 2 see all the victim blaming n debunking n hate toward op! but i think any misrepresentation was a result of his hurt + effect it truly did have on him. ultimately it shouldve stayed private + i find the idea of canceling sm1 due to having an overall unhealthy relationship in the past unsettling. sorry this is so long + thanks 4 putting a sympathetic and logical voice out there!

You’re good nonny, and my thoughts exactly. Op was clearly hurt by this relationship and I will never ever deny him that. I want him to find peace and get better. But how he presented the evidence just doesn’t show any sort of intentional abuse. I’m not saying it’s not possible, the story as he presented it doesn’t even paint Will as that bad of a guy.

I get that Op doesn’t care about listening to Will’s music and it’s more about protecting people from the person, but as I said in the post, the only lesson I gleaned was “watch your codependency and communication issues.” It was never about cancelling, (which is such a stupid fucking fake concept of how consequences are dealt with but that’s a separate discussion.) it was about preventing more hurt and I think that’s a good stand Op is trying to take. A noble one, especially since he opened up during a spiral to do so.

Honestly I think the screenshots of former bandmates saying Will was an asshole holds more weight against his character than Op’s original claims. I still don’t know what exactly my conclusion of it is, because I know nothing about Will’s life let alone his bandmates so I’m still piecing the picture. I put a link to those in the replies of my original post.

I just feel so exceptionally blind and in the dark regarding all this because I have literally only heard Will speak outside of listening to his music once, and that’s because I came across an old stand up clip unintentionally on YouTube. I truly know absolutely nothing about the band as people and that’s why I keep holding my judgments until smth “more concrete” even if realistically these are probably the mostly the evidence will go.

But yea, the absolutely nasty response Op has gotten is awful. It’s partially why I wrote the post, hoping people would learn to have more sympathy for him. I don’t want to assume intentional foul play from him (outside of posting the nude, which is illegal and wrong and unnecessary.) because I know the talks of whether or not said pic was doctored are around, as well as how legitimate the insta convos are and smth about the timeline math. I’m not involving myself in any of that because I am not the person to deduce those kinds of things. For sake of giving Op the benefit of the doubt, I’m assuming this things are legitimate and the slip ups (like how I pointed the change of social media in the post) we’re just genuine human slip ups.

As you said, the derogatory remarks around Op are practically worse the Op’s original claim. Perpetuating an idea that only a certain type of person can experience abuse is very wrong and dangerous. Even I think as the story stands now it wasn’t abuse, I would never say op or anyone in a similar place isn’t capable of being abused. I worry about how that narrative could take off.

ww's attitude also focuses on vash's "failure", something that shouldve been reserved to vash. ww can be projecting concerning the cult (and presumably the orphans being kidnapped) but it shouldnt be both

stampede again hasnt even brought up why vash doesnt want to kill, when ww couldve been a perfect opportunity for him to question it, but stampede seems to be skipping past things

I’ve been wondering for some time since I first started following your blog, what made you choose to study abroad in Taiwan rather than Japan? (Feel free to ignore this ask if this is a weird question)

hey, no worries. I'm super cool with talking abt it. So I decided to go to Taiwan for a lot of reasons, some practical, some personal. For the practical side, it was just easier to go to Taiwan at the time I applied, Japan seemed to have this an iron gate on new arrivals into the country and I had applied so many times, I really just felt like Japan would be one of the last countries to open up to foreign exchange students. In comparison Taiwan was more open to allowing students into Taiwan so it was just way easier to get a visa. Second was cost of living, Taiwan is way more affordable than Japan. Third was my own academic path, like I was almost done with my degree, and going to Japan independently as a student was rlly hard. And the language schools were like, not an option. If I went to Japan I'd have to go on a normal bachelors exchange but I had already finished my units so I'd be taking classes I didn't need. (basically prolong my degree when I was eligible to graduate). And the universities I was able to go to all required students take 7 classes plus Japanese and that just seemed far too much to me. I wanted more free time to enjoy living there, not do assignments for classes I don't need. In contrast, I was going to a language school in Taiwan where I'd only be taking classes I wanted and none of my grades would matter bc it wasn't for my degree. When I decided on going on my own to Taiwan I applied for graduation and now I'm just doing this for the skill of speaking Chinese.So the pressure is wayyy less. Also it just makes more sense.

Now onto personal reasons, I just feel like Chinese is way easier and more practical than Japanese. Sure I've studied Japanese longer but honestly since i studied it by myself w/o a teacher I learned i pretty bad and I'd really need to start from scratch if I wanted to speak it well. SO I decided to go to Taiwan for that. Also, like, part of it was the company. I feel like a lot of exchange students who go to Japan (not all, def not all, I've had so many mutuals who've gone and are great) are just... creeps. Like, ofc every country will have the creeps, but I feel like Japan has a higher proportion of fetishists and just creeps that go bc yk, anime. ANd like, the people who choose to go to taiwan are just better grounded. Like all the alumni I've met that chose to go to taiwan were like, just really cool well rounded people, and I'd rather be surrounded by them and not... well. yk. Also, Japanese society is just, very judgy. Like I just feel like I like Japan but not as a place to live. Like all the Japanese students I've met were nice but just, the way they spoke about things felt so, narrow. Like they didn't feel very accepting of a lot of things. I talked to some Japanese expats and my brothers coworker whos from Japan and moved back and they all said like, its really hard to rlly connect with people. Like a lot of ppl are so nice but it always feels like youre bothering them. Idk just, I didn't want to live there. In contrast all the Taiwanese people I've met seemed more down to earth. I understand all of this is anecdotal and not necessarily true but like, I told my japanese roommates abt this. I had this same conversation with them when i came and they were like.. oh no 100%, like we studied abroad bc we feel judged by japanese ppl. So like, not to say it's 100 percent true, its not!! But it is a factor. ALso I was just, more into Taiwan. It just felt like a better fit. Also I had friends here, like my cousin, my friends mom, like I had ppl to rely on if I needed and it really came in handy my first few weeks and in japan I really had no one. So for all of that, I came to taiwan. and I don't regret it one bit. Ido think someday in like 2 or 3 years I want to go to live in Japan though. Like do this same thing, go to a language school just for me. Live for a few months and come back and resume life. It's just that rn, Taiwan was the better option.
