Beach Day! || Martin Kratt x GN! Reader ||

Summary: Y/n and Martin break away from the gang to have a day at the beach. Chaos is what they return to but the day away from everything made life so much easier.

Warnings: None

Note: Antoehr WK fanfic! Yippe! Yall seems to enjoy "Im stuck" so yea!

The Createrra stopped on the sand as Martin shut it off, already reaching back to grab stuff that he and his s/o, Y/n, would need for the day. They turned around in their seat and griped the headrest, surveying what Martin wasn't grabbing and then grabbing it themself. He managed to grab a lot of the heavier stuff as the two made their way toward the water. "See, completely alone!"

As if on cue, a crab appeared out of the sand and tripped Martin. He fell flat on his face as Y/n giggled, grabbing what they could while asking if he was okay. "Im fine." He picked his head up, spitting out sand for a minute while Y/n made their way to the water line. Martin picked up what was left and ran to them. "Now Im even better! You're here, we're at the beach, all is good."

Meanwhile, the crew at the HQ was not having a good time without their main organizer, Y/n, and Martin knew where half the things people needed were! They two left their creature pods in the Tortuga so they could detox for the day completely. Chris lets out a wale of frustration, "WHERE IS MY CREATURE POWER SUIT?!"

After a few minutes, Y/n and Martin managed to set up a decently laid out set up with the extra towels they brought to lay on the sand so drying off wouldn't be so sandy. The couple planned to be here all day if all went well. Y/n pulled out the sunscreen and put some on their face and what skin was showing on their body then did Martin the exact same way. The cool liquid felt like a shock to his skin at first but then the warmth of Y/n's hands made it better after a few seconds.

The two had gotten there just after sunrise so they had all the time in the day to exist in the pure niceness of the other's company. For the first twenty (20) minutes, they did just that, Y/n put their head on Martin's shoulder and the two just basked in the sun and each other's silent show of affection.

Back at the HQ, things had slightly calmed. That was until they realized the keys to start the Tortuga were in Martin's bag... On the beach... with Martin. Chris let out a sob, missing his brother and the calmness both he and his partner brought to the Tortuga.

The sun was now high in the sky and Martin decided that he and Y/n should swim but without them knowing. "Hey, Y/n, I wanna see if I can still pick you up! It'll be fun!" They chuckled and nodded, standing in a T-pose before Martin picked them up on his shoulder. Their hands managed to slap his butt a few times which made them giggle but because they were so focused on what they were doing they failed to notice that Martin was moving towards the water.

By the time they did notice, they were going back first into a wave. Y/n sits up and tries to catch their breath then is hit by another wave. Martin laughed so hard that he leaned over his knees. Y/n saw the opportunity and yanked him into the third (3rd) wave that ended up taking both of them down. The two stood when they could and Y/n tackled Martin, trying to send him into the waves that went past their waist.

The two spent the next thirty (30) minutes sending each other into various waves before they took a nice swim to relax before they ate back on the beach with each other. Martin got out and laid down first, allowing Y/n to use his chest as a pillow of sorts. After a while of drying in the sun together, they pulled out a small bite to eat before taking a nap together.

Chris decided a while a go that he should nap, this decision later Chris decided a while ago that he should nap, this decision later came to bite him in the butt. A wolf puppy managed to make his way into the Tortuga and he jumped onto Chris' stomach an hour into his nap. He shot up and started coughing. This scares the pup who jumps down and starts barking for help. Soon the pup's pack showed up and cornered Chris. "Help-"

As the two woke up, they saw the sun was setting and decided to head back to Tortuga. They packed up everything they'd brought and shoved it all back in the Createrra. Once they got back, the sun was far gone. Martin was laughing at something Y/n said while they giggled and walked inside. As they walked into the main area, they stopped giggling and stopped walking suddenly which made Martin bump into them. He registered what was happening in front of him and he dropped whatever he was carrying. "What happened while we were gone?!"

Chris peels himself off of the floor before answering his brother, "You don't want to know, bro..." He then fell back to the floor, sticking like gum.

The couple looked at each other, not ready to fix this mess right now, before walking backward to sleep in the Createrra for the night.

I'm genuinely so mad about MK1 (2023) removing Johnny Cage's Green Aura but I don't think yall know how fucking insane that is.

Since the original MK1 he's had these powers. They're a base part of his game abilities. He's got the iconic power ball in MK1, the kick, everything! It's literally a massive part of who he is as a playable character and they've decided to just. Take it out. For no reason. To be quirky. 30 years of shadow kicks and force balls just gone because they wanted to be unique. They weren't even this ballsey when they rebooted into MK9. He's got the same stuff in MK9-11.

I genuinely don't know what the fuck Netherrealm are thinking with this game, the more I find out about it the more I greatly regret my preorder. Another massive gripe I have is not having Sonya Blade confirmed for main roster yet. She was the first ever female Mortal Kombat character. She's been main roster in pretty much almost every single Mortal Kombat thing that exists. Every movie (minus Snow Blind), almost or even every game, even the comics she's in, and the animated series!! Only keeping her as a Kameo Fighter would be extremely disrespectful to her legacy and history within the series.

And honestly I'm barely even going to touch the Scorpion is Lin Kuei shit, I'm not even qualified in trying to explain why lumping in a Japanese character in with a Chinese clan feels a little icky, let alone retconning that heritage completely if God forbid that's the direction they're going in. It just feels like a rushed mess where they've taken multiple shots in the dark to try and be different and unique.

Truth is they've just pissed off a good portion of the fanbase, given us a new system which is just a ripoff of Tag Team Assist in MK11 but worse and somehow bastardised beloved characters worse than Sindel in Aftermath. And considering how bad Sindel is? It's absolutely INSANE.

Honestly, it was better than I expected but that's just because I came into it with my expectations on rock bottom and was hoping for the worst in everything. I had fun and uh. yeow

Thoughts, gripes, etc about the campaign below, MEGA spoilers, you've been warned (in no particular order)

This could just be me being insane about Graves but honestly I thought that they would touch into the Konni infiltrating Shadow some more since they did an entire event about it but they just got name dropped? Maybe they'll touch on it more in the next game or whatever but that was quite disappointing for me personally.

Graves, my wife, the light of my life. Cried when I first saw heard him and then I cried more when he was still in kahoots with Shepherd. Love him for lying to the court and love Price for finally stepping up to the plate and taking care of a loose end (Shepherd.) BUT that just leaves the question of what would happen to Graves. Would the courts believe him, or would they pin the blame on Graves (← more likely option)

Loved seeing Farah more, no additional notes

Gameplay was Fine, gun sounds were disappointing but movement overall felt a lot better compared to the beta, but tbh. You can still tell that this was originally supposed to be a DLC. Felt pretty short too but I played through it all in (mostly) one sitting. Not at all surprised at them reusing assets and animations but they could have tried a little with making new campaign outfits. The "open mission" played out a lot better than I had expected tbh. I personally only experienced a handful of bugs (other than the servers breaking) but again, to be expected

Julian did a good job as Makarov IMO. As a friend put it, he turned the game into horror any time he appeared on screen. I had wondered how they were going to handle no russian in this day and age and WELP. They made it way more gut-wrenching to play and sit through. Can't forget the casual racism too, "Are you a terrorist?" "No" "You look like one" LIKE OKAY WHAT THE FUCK. YALL CAN SAY THAT SHIT?

Very fun to see Nik again and play as Kate, but I'm mad that Kamarov isn't in it. Xitter has been a minefield and it seemed no one knew how to flag or tag their spoilers so I ended up seeing the Big Death™ and honestly, kudos to them for having the balls to off one of the main characters. Maybe it's just my delusions talking but Ghost was definitely super fucked up about it. Wonder if Soap is gonna be added to the multiplayer still and how they'll explain it if they do. CoD seems to have a habit of making everything canon so who knows

Okay so, these are my ratings for the tracks on portals,

and I just want to preface this by saying these are only my opinions and yours are obviously allowed to differ from mine!/lhgen

DEATH: 7/10. Pretty solid, the music video looks cool, I like the huge mushroom. It's stuck in my head lol.

VOID: 8/10, also really like VOID. I relate to alot of the themes of it and just jejabduajeuwj VOID my beloved. My one gripe is the constant use of the same visualizer, but that isn't exclusive to VOID and is a thing through out the whole album.

TUNNEL VISION: 9/10. Really liked the lyrics, really liked how the word "portal" was in there, as sorta of an homage to the name of the album.

FAERIE SOIRÈE: 6.5/10. I liked it. It wasn't bad by any means, I just would've liked it more if maybe it was longer? I feel like if it was longer that would give it a chance to truly shine.

LIGHT SHOWER: 10/10. I love LIGHT SHOWER. It's on all my main playlists now. I love Its' sound, I love the lyrics, metaphors, message, even the title. This is one of my favorite songs Melanie has ever put out.

SPIDER WEB: 8/10. I like the metaphors, underlying message, and instrumental. I relate to SPIDER WEB alot, and for that it's earned its place as one of my favorites.

LEECHES: 7.5, if you R U looking 4 me now? By Jazmin Bean, you might like this since they have some themes in common. They don't share any sounds, just some themes. I like LEECHES, it's just not my favorite.

BATTLE OF THE LARYNX: 8.5. I really like the sound and lyrics, but it just didn't quite hit in all the right places, still a great song though!

THE CONTORTIONIST: 9/10. Just

Also the sound of bones crunching, liked that alot too, the instrumental wad great too,

I'm at a loss for words at how well the elements of this song compliment eachother

MOON CYCLE: 4/10. I straight up don't like MOON CYCLE, I don't know what it is about it, maybe certain lyrics? I don't know, I just don't like it.

NYMPHOLOGY: 10/10. All my homies are experts in N-Y-M-P-H-O-L-O-G-Y. It's just such a fun song and just twguejyshotfjssaaaaaaa

EVIL: 10/10, Really gives off like villan era vibes, like you're letting go of your harmful past and saying "fuck you" to those who hurt you. I also really love the sound and just general feel of it all and just

yeah, this is now a comfort song.

and finally,

WOMB: 8.5/10, really like the instrumental and the call back to DEATH at the end. It feels like the perfecr song to end the album off with.

My overall score for the album is an 8/10, it's not bad, it has the same level of quality as Crybaby and K-12, it just doesn't hit as well as I 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 believe it could.It certainly is different aesthetic wise, which isn't bad by any means, I personally actually like this aesthetic. Its' just not what were used to.

I'm certainly excited to hear what the rest of the community thinks. Do you like it? Do you hate it? Do you think it's just 𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘺? Do you think Melanie Martinez should have her record deal snatched because of this? I wanna know what yall think.

Ok Honesty Hour

I like reading Astrology posts because they help me fall asleep, I don't know why, I've just pavloved myself into slumber when I read those silly little pacs and 'venus in the 8th house' posts.

It's also fun because I enjoy reading other people's perspectives on things, it's interesting even though I do not prescribe to it at all. But, there's some truly gross shit in some of these posts that surprise me.

Let's say, hypothetically, I, and everyone that writes astrology observations, TRULY believed in astrology and what the alignment of the planets have to say about personality, the future, the past and the physical body. Ignoring the obvious incongruencies within astrology, I still have a big problem with a few aspects. Mainly regarding:

Health! Astrologers are not practitioners of health, and should not be insisting that some people are prone to heart problems or foot problems. That is a wild purview to have over someone and can be dangerous depending on how much someone believes in astrology!

Themes of sexual assault, abuse, manipulation etc. The Idea that 'some signs are more prone to raping someone' is an awful idea to put in someone's head, that they're somehow more capable of doing that to another person just because of the planetary alignment at birth. And how do these true believers treat a person with these placements after they get a hold of their chart? It's alarming.

Gender Essentialism- This is a big one- Gender essentialism is so deeply ingrained in astrology that it's hard to not tell yall to let it go without telling yall to stop doing astrology all together. This idea that women are Venus and men are Mars and women can only look for husbands and men can only look for wives and the separation between the two is ridiculous. There CAN be feminine and masculine themes, but there is almost no recognition that women can be masculine and men can be feminine, women can look for women and men can look for men. (And not to talk about NB peeps or genderqueer folk ETC)

To go even further, there has been an uptick of posts about how women are only suited for softness, for being wives and having babies and being the perfect one for their hard working husband and junk. the divine feminine, the blood purity of a woman on her period. etc. All of this leads to DANGEROUS ideas and should be nipped in the bud asap! it leads to TERF ideas, it leads to people being complacent about laws taking away agency and human rights. ETC!

So, someone who truly (or even slightly) believes in astrology might fall victim to horrible TERF ideas and end up harming others by reading these ideas over and over again. It should stop.

I can include so many other petpeeves here, but those are my main gripes. Of course, bloggers and claim this is just entertainment, that the whole chart is needed to make an assessment, but these bloggers are also putting out dangerous ideas that can propagate into something more depending on how much someone leans into astrology.

So, seriously, cut it out with the health matters. Cut it out with the SA claims and other things (if you wouldn't want to be accused of such things, why accuse someone else??) and PLEASE take a look at how yall are using and describing gender. Please resist TERF ideas.

I hope yall have fun, I'll probably read more Astrology tonight and hope it gets a little better come the next transit.

morningflower, ashfoot, and onestar are all the same age and from the same litter, which i don’t like. i have no problem with them being siblings (though if they were you’d think it would have been mentioned, especially when onestar appointed ashfoot deputy but,), but morningflower and ashfoot always seemed. older? than onestar.

they have kits long before him. morningflower retires before onestar and ashfoot come into leadership, which could be due to a chronic condition? but she just generally seems like a generic bahh my aching bones elder.

anyway, they seem to be around stone and misty’s age.

allegiances are Not listed by age, as stagleap is listed above his mother. probably just because he is onestar’s father. but im not even going to try to figure out ages

warrior names for the rest of tallstar’s siblings/onestar’s aunt and uncles! i like bristlebark’s name

rabbitear has a strangely detailed description compared to everyone else. also her description literally links to the wiki. maybe she becomes important?

im a genius. the erins were scrolling through MY tumblr and were reminded that these guys existed

nothing really else of note? hickorynose and hareflight have retired, while their mates, meadowslip and mistmouse, have not. palebird is dead, or at least not listed.

next up: thunderclan

this was confirmed in a field guide or something that bluestar was runningwind’s mentor.

redtail as mousepaw’s mentor has been a headcanon of mine for a long time... mainly because there literally isn’t anyone else for him to have mentored before becoming deputy.

running and mouse were the litter after red, spotted, and willow. running was bluestar’s, as stated previously. and then darkstripe went to tigerclaw, then longtail to darkstripe. mousefur to redtail makes sense. i don’t think it’s ever been confirmed before.

lot of stuff happening here. we finally have 1) in-book confirmation that darkstripe is willowpelt’s 2) a birth season for darkstripe 3) no stated father. tawnyspots could be the father, depending on how old, exactly, darkkit is.

this description is wrong. as confirmed in redtail’s debt, one-eye lost her blind eye before retiring.

all the thunderclan descriptions are very detailed compared to the windclan ones (you know, the pov clan?) but that’s just bc theyre thunderclan.

next up: riverclan

i like these! i’ve always had trouble assigning misty and stone mentors, but i think these are good choices. i especially like misty to echomist.

softwing isn’t someone i would think of in a million years, mainly bc i forget she exists. the timing is also close, but i do think that her kits are just barely older than stone and misty.

main gripe i suppose is the elders. archeye, crowtail, poolcloud, and ashfur are literally all still elders by into the wild, which is three years later. the only cats who retire from the pool of warriors are hollyflower and featherstorm, the latter of which was forced. none of these guys were warriors three years ago? none of them retired in three years time? (nightpelt is exempt bc he is young.) it’s just a long time with little to no change in the ranks.

also, lizardfang was listed as an elder yellowfang’s secret and tallstar’s revenge. you go, you crazy bastard. outlive them all.

i do wonder what they will be doing for season 2 now that most of their MAIN goals are away if a new main villian/problem will be introduced or jsut silly shenanigans honestly here for both of those

Ok now im curious 👀 what are ur gripes with the movie? O:

so I dont want to be too negative abt this movie. it's new and it's beautiful and fun and the fact that the main character is a black girl is just... hell yeah??? I would've adored this movie as a kid, and I'm sure it'll mean a lot to a lot of ppl, and I hope it gets big. but also I cant Not think abt these things, so:

so ok the general plot is VERY how to train your dragon, so w the mc, maisie, we get that same character progression of: looks up to the beast hunters & wants to join them > realizes they aren’t the heroes she imagined them to be & the beasts aren’t actually blood thirsty monsters either > decides the pointless fighting between the two needs to stop, & she wants to stop it. basically my problem is that it just feels.. weird having the little black girl be the one at the forefront of this huge social change, and having her end up putting herself in harm's way in an attempt to achieve that

especially when 1) you expect her to be the main focus, but the movie doesn’t even start w her. and after her brief introduction, we get a whole lot of learning abt the adults + their motives, our main focus being on the white guy, jacob, & the (also white) captain, n she only gets small scenes in all this time (i’d say the focus shifts back to her abt 40 minutes in?). and 2) in what little bit we get of her at the start, shes such a charming character, but then once we get to the realization part of her story arch its like... idk how to describe it. it's like shes been possessed by the writers trying to express their message. at the start shes a normal naive kid, but then suddenly shes got everything figured out & is having these super wise takes on the situation as if shes always felt this way & isn’t just a little kid who’s learning all this stuff at the same time as the viewers & jacob.

basically it just feels like shes here to be the writers’ voice? & can’t just be.. a kid? there’s a couple things that happen at the end that I was rly hoping wouldn’t happen, bc its typical for her kind of character, n then it Does happen n I'm like. cmon yall.... like they fit the trope yeah but it feels Bad when the character is a black girl. like it feels like it sends a concerning message. & honestly I feel like if this were a darker, more mature movie, she would've died somewhere in/nearing the climax of the story. it rly did just feel like she was there to teach our white characters a lesson in the end.

second problem, there’s a witch-type character that shows up briefly, & she has the typical hook-nosed big frizzy-haired evil snakey type design. and I feel like, with how this movie seems to pride itself on its diversity, you’d think someone on the creative crew would've caught that. it feels like even in more “progressive” media, ppl will make exceptions for antisemitism & fatphobia. i imagine someone would make the excuse “well maybe they didn’t know!!” but no. its 2022. they know. lmao

anyway, that's basically it. besides a few very minor issues w story (ending felt weirdly.. empty?? idk why) and design choices (beast designs feel out of place when compared to.. everything else in this movie. they kinda look like gummy candy. cute as hell don’t get me wrong!! but it's kind of jarring at times lol)

“Oh...Jungkook huh... Hmm what about no boys aloud?” You planted the idea praying she’d take the bait as you started cleaning her toy makeup, giving her a chance to think it over.

“What? Jungkook isn’t a boy, he’s my brother!” Giggling she pounced from the couch striding towards his room. At this point all you could do is laugh at her innocent lack of logic. She looks so happy who are you to burst her little bubble, for all you know Jungkook might want nothing to do with the both of you and your little mock slumber party.

Closing the toy purse you hid it back away in the large toy chest she pulled from her room, leaving it open you cleared the floor of the multicolored blocks and dolls. A whisper of a laugh escapes your lips as you overhear Aera’s begs and pleas mixed with Jungkook’s refusals....but finally the door creaks.

Please no. “Y/n, guess what?!” She drags your name out as her small foot steps pitter the floor, Jungkook’s thudding. She comes down the hall pulling Jungkook by his middle finger. “As if you weren’t undesirable enough, neon nails really helped it out.” Grumbling he throws himself on the couch you just tidied up. “Nice to see you again too Kook.”Aera bounced on her toes watching us have confrontation, unaware of the negative connotations.

Truth is you hadn’t seen Jungkook since you left for college and you hadn’t planned on seeing him ever again...that is until relationships fell apart, your roommate left and things got hard to pay for, and you were two bills away from being homeless. the job up at university paid $9.50 an hour while the busy Jeons still offered $12.00 the choice was clear. Take a little break, live with family, get back on your feet, and try again. But little did you know Jungkook decided to stay local with his schooling.All this aside the work was easy since Aera had grown a bit, but the thought of dealing with the person that made your life hell for four years made you want to quit daily.

“Can I do your nails Too?!” “No Aera, now be cute and get me something to drink.” He orders putting his feet on the coffee table eyeing you up and down,disgustingly. “No Aera I’ll get it.” You grabbed her shoulder. “No y/n! I’ll do it, I’ll do it quickly!” Setting free she bolted for the kitchen.

“So, you went to college got broke and came back sniveling to my rich parents?” You rolled your eyes, looking in the direction of the kitchen for any sign of Aera. “I thought you would’ve out grown your asshole phase, that’s very high school of you Kook.” He scoffed defensively, “and you using babysitting as your main income is high school of you, what happened your little rapper boyfriend leave you high and dry?” “You shut the fuck up.” You snapped back my reflex. He held his hands up in defense, “Suga blew up and left you in the shit show not my fault.” We argued in hushed tones as Aera ran back into sight.

“Here you go kookie!” She handed Jungkook the can of Coke, heaving for air. “Aera this is warm, cold...I want something cold, go try again.” He handed her the can, “oh okay Oppa sorry!” And off she was back down the hall. He turned back to me, “why’d he leave you...couldn’t make him bust?” you tried to hide it but his words stung, you’d been avoiding anything to do with Yoongi since he’d ghosted you weeks before you left for college. Bigger things waited for him in the world of fame, and you weren’t in the blueprint.

“Fuck you Jungkook.” “Come try it bitch.” Smirking he was satisfied with himself as you stood almost defeated. “Oh I forgot you’re scared of sex.” “Leave the high school rumors behind...ran out a material? Maybe you should get out more.” He rolled his eyes scoffing, “shut up before I make you.” “You like to pretend I’m still afraid you...make me, little boy...since you insist on being one.”

Jungkook’s come back was cut short by the thumping of Aera’s feet. “Kookie!Kookie! Ice! I got it all by myself!” She gave the cup of ice to Jungkook and then the Coke. “Good job, now pour it.” He handed them back and you took it from her small clutches much to Jungkook’s disliking. You poured him the drink, pushing his feet off the small table and placing the glass. “She’s not your little slave Jungkook.” He kept eye contact picking up the glass, “you’re right she’s not, you...go get me a coaster now or you’re fired.” His eyebrow arched cockily, his free hand waving you away. “As if! You can’t fire me Jungkook.” He got Aera sitting her on the couch beside him as she caught her breath. “Is that so? Try me, my parents might have hired you but you work for us...now work.” His gaze alone told you he wasn’t playing with you anymore.

Angered you stormed to kitchen pulling a coaster from the table before swiftly Turing on your heels, almost jumping out of you skin as you met face to face with Jungkook. “What the fuck do you want now?” “You said some shit I didn’t like.” You threw the coaster back on the marbled table, “I wish you’d grow up already.” You atempt to go past him but his muscular arm halts your plans. “I have to go do my job-” “I put on her show she’ll be good for the next hour.”

You don’t remember Jungkook being so brooding he looked down at you, his new tall posture slightly off putting yet attractive. “What now, you wanna talk it out?” You walked away siting at the island, “I’ll leave you be if you leave me to do my job Kook.” He came behind you, trapping you in his arms. Tattoos, he’d change a lot but not enough to leave you alone.

“I see you came and got the coaster, scared of me now?” What an ass, “no I need this job.” He hummed from behind you, no sign of him letting you go. “You know y/n, you’ve grown quite a bit.” You became more and more uncomfortable by the second, his breathing became deeper. “I’m aware, so have you.” Rudely he became handsy, groping your breast earning a shocked reaction. “Jungkook please-” “scared of me?” He squeezed you with a little too much force making you give a Yelp, he had you trapped, you were nothing but a game to him. “Shhh shh don’t want to startle my baby sister while she rests...that wouldn’t be very babysitter like of you now would it?”

Silent what could you even say? He had you trapped, your position less than hopeless he’d made you feel small and that’s exactly what he wanted. He’s always wanted that ever since you’d met him, and he always succeeds. He intruded under your top, skating his chilled hand over your skin leaving cold bumps in his wake he held your bra covered breast.

You griped his unexposed wrist trying at escape, knowing fully how downhill this could get. “Oh is the brave girl afraid?” “N-no your hands are cold as Ice Jungkook...please stop.” You lied continuing to push his muscular arm. “Oh? Let me warm them for you.” He removed his hand from the island almost causing you to topple over. Reaching down he found himself with his hand now between your legs fiddling with the pant button. “Jungkook! Please no!” His hand along your chest he pulled you back into his sculpted figure.

“You must not value your job as much as you say, scream again and you’ll be broke and fucked over and to think I actually liked you a bit.” He came to your ear, sniffing your hair eerily. “Little did I know how much of a bitch you were, I loved you when you were shy.” He finally got through your button, getting to your panties he gave you a two fingered massage along your core, you strained not to react to the unwanted pleasure. “Look at you pathetic and wet I bet you’re so needy I could make you cum right here.” He began to focus his nimble fingers on your aching clit. “Fucking stop it.” You could only whimper. “Why should I, we’re old enough now and you’re sopping through your panties I know you want it.”

I have beef with farcry 5.

(Spoilers ahead)

Dont get me wrong, i had an absolute blast but getting beaten over the head with the whole 'you are not a hero, you should just walk away' shtick is an issue. I had the same problem with farcry 3, though id have to say it was much more egregious there because jason brody is a fucking asshole. I understand the idea with telling players through the game that sometimes the best thing to do is nothing, tell them they arent heros. But its hard to reason that with a plot thats so cut and dry. A religious dooms day cult is kidnapping and killing people and as a deputy officer im supposed to walk away? Even if the player character was a civilian, that wouldnt make any more sense, youd be asking the player to lay down and die. Therein lies my main point i guess.

The story of farcry 5 doesnt work with its message. At least not for me.

It reminds me a bit of spec ops : the line where youre punished for playing. The game tells you directly that you are no hero (and id wager to say most gamers these days dont want to be heros we just wanna have a good time) gives you a pat on the back while youre playing, and a slap in the face at the end. Youre damned if you do and damned if you dont unless you dont play at all but the game doesnt tell you that until the end.

(Because yeah, im totally gonna listen to the murderous delusional cult leader im being ordered to hand cuff at the beginning)

Tell joseph to shove it and nukes drop on Montana, or leave and kill all your friends who you just spent the whole game trying to save. Either way, in any of the three endings, joseph walks and even more people die.

How am i supposed to take in the message, or learn anything from what happened and what i did when this is how the lesson is taught. Youre guilty no matter what you do, unless you dont play to begin with. Dont load it up, dont start. Because even if you decide to walk at the very beginning, people still get hurt and die, and their killers go free.

This is pretty much my only gripe with farcry 5 tbh, i had a lot of fun right up until the very end. Im working through a third play through right now which i guess is why this stuck out. Maybe im reading too much into it, who knows. Id love to head how yall felt about it though.

Oh boy, a controversial character! Gotta say, I stan James Charles /J

How do I feel about this character?:

On a real note, I do like Lilith as a character. When we first meet her, she's pompous and proud. Oozing with entitlement, she's easy to route against and you like to see her get worked up and "brought down" to Eda's level as the wild which so eloquently put it. Later on, but not too much later that it feels disingenuous, we really get to see her show that she cares for her sister. One might believe it is *Eda* being ridiculous, as far as the audience is aware, Lilith's offer holds little downsides. Eda would be cured and be afforded the luxuries of the upper class AND keep her magic. All she had to do was be the Emperor's soldier.

As to not get off track by talking about Eda, (im sure Lilith herself would loathe that lol) Lilith's reveal to have cursed her sister over a spot in the emperor's coven was...controversial to say the least. I don't think it's unpopular to voice that, yeah. It could've been communicated better to the audience since I saw plenty of commentators and regular fans themselves either thought Lilith cursing her sister was *needlessly* petty and not at all thought out (which yeah it kinda was).

From where I stand on that issue is, yeah, Lilith's whole reason to curse her sister could've been avoided by just talking to her sister and asking her to let her have this. BUT, I think a lot of people forget that the Emperor's coven would want to limit the number of powerful witches in their coven. Sure, Belos would want to be protected by a bunch of loyal soldiers, but he wouldn't want too much of the population to ever have a much power as him. So limiting the number of members in not just his coven but possible in the other major covens, would aid in controlling that population.

This might be pure hogwash but like, there are a ton of other "lesser" covens. So in my mind, it's more likely that the general population of witches gets sorted into one of the various miscellaneous. If you think limiting yourself to only practicing Illusion magic sucks, imagine only practicing whatever the fuck the "swag coven" does.

Hm, it's only s1 and we haven't seen her interact w/ many characters outside of her fam/Belos/actual children. I kinda jokingly ship here with Steve lol. Kikimora and her also have a funny dynamic but in all actuality, I don't ship her w/ anyone rn.

Non-Romantic Ships for this character?:

Her and Hooty lol. I mean Eda is an obvious answer but like, Hooty fucking with Lilith is too funny to not want to see. Her and King would be great too, probably get some good B plots out of it. It would be a good contrast since they both can be petty but in different ways and I think that would help flesh out their characters a bit more and maybe cause some introspection (at least on Lilith’s end lol)

Unpopular opinion about this character?:

Lol. I feel like she is such a divisive character in general that most opinions about her aren’t too out of the main stream. I guess a more meta take is that when she’s portrayed in fanworks, usually fanfic but not exclusively, very...one note lol. She’s usually a pretty flat, boring character in an attempt to highlight the contrast between her and Eda. She’s the straight-laced, “responsible” sibling who has a chip on her shoulder. In fanon, that equates to her characterization to either be like, completely and utterly apologetic to the point where it becomes unbelievable for any person to do. Her apologizing or making amends is usually quickly forgiven by Luz/and or Eda. Sure, Luz is very forgiving person naturally but like?? She’s wasn’t mad in canon too much about THEIR well being (almost getting impaled), she was specifically pissed about Lilith betraying Eda.

So, if Lilith is a big part of your story (and it’s working in the realm of canon), then this should be a problem which doesn’t get resolved by just ONE big action. I also feel like her being on better terms with Eda would come BEFORE Luz since Eda’s main gripe with her would be about her being annoyed by Lilith’s controlling nature and the fact that she didn’t trust her enough to talk about her feelings back when she was first cursed (also her using Luz against her but I feel like that would probably be a hurdle that wouldn’t really be over come until Lilith in turn would be willing to sacrifice herself for Luz while also making an effort to care for Luz as a person not just see her as a “pet”). Hhhh this section is so long and its kinda bleeding over in the next question so-

Something I wish will happen or would have wanted to happen in canon?:

I want Lilith in general, not to be forgiven by either Luz or Eda. Eda probably early on stating about how she is unsure if she could EVER forgive her sister for what she has done. BUT, critically, Eda would see that Lilith is trying and she is willing to work with her (with a unhelpful dose of teasing) because at the end of the day she still loves her sister. For the relationship they had before everything with south, for knowing her side of the story even though she believes it doesn’t justify her actions. She understands and sympathizes, she’s grown a bit softer thanks to Luz, which is very funny since I want Luz to be the one who is the hardest to convince Lilith actually had a change of heart but more on that later.

Before I move on to what I want her path towards forgiveness with Luz looks like, I want to bring up a parallel that I haven’t seen many people make. Fans always talk about the parallel between the Clawthornes and Luz/Amity, and rightly so because there is a lot to extrapolate there, but I think another interesting dynamic that might be interesting to see in s2 would be an episode that focuses on lost friendship/sisterhood with the Clawthornes and Amity and Willow. It’s kinda funny that Amity and Willow’s friendship was ruined because Willow was too “weak” while Eda was too “powerful”. In a potential episode, it can show the progression both Eda/Lilith and Willow/Amity are making in rekindling their relationship with each other. For Eda and Lilith this would be a lot more rough around the edges since it both be either the first or one of the first attempts at doing so while Willow/Amity would maybe be further along yet still have some major/minor hang ups with one another. With Willow/Amity, their relationship would either be rounding the bend of fully moving past the “idk how to feel about you stage” or it is stated outright that Willow forgives Amity, (and by forgive, I mean in the “we both know what you did, you’ve actually changed. we won’t have the same relationship that we once had but I’m okay with trying again”). In contrast, Lilith and Eda would reach a understanding and come up with some ground rules on how to handle each other (Eda’s main take away from this “episode” would be what I previously stated in the last question), ones that will be more like guidelines cuz its Eda lol. Also what separates the Clawthornes conflict from the Willow/Amity one (besides the obvious) is that the Clawthornes both know how the other works. Which buttons to push and all that so both of them are going to have to learn to resist doing that, at least a bit, in order to actually progress.

ANYWAYS, I also want Luz to be the one to regard Lilith the coldest. Luz refusing to let Lilith teach her anything despite probably having more practical/book smarts knowledge on magic theory than Eda because she doesn’t trust her. If they are gonna use that masked dude as a spy, I want Luz to assume Lilith is somehow a coconspirator. This plot thread doesn’t have to be going at 100% the whole time, (in fact I would want it to be a temp thing maybe lasting a couple eps at most or like, just something that is hinted at but not dived deeply until the second half of the season). Really, Lilith has a hard time because Luz straight up doesn’t give her the opportunity to really express her regret/remorse. Lilith probably won’t at first give her a ton of reasons to forgive her as she usually attempts at coming back at Luz’s snide remarks with her own quippy comebacks. Sksk a really angsty end to an attempt could include Lilith saying something to Luz after going on a small talk with her (where yeah Lilith has improved but still needs noticeable work) that she “reminds her a lot of Eda” and Luz bites back with something like “Oh yeah? You going to curse me too? You want another person you can force to do what YOU want?”.

Hell maybe “parental problems” could have Lilith poke at, either on purpose or accidentally, Luz’s feelings about going back to the human world and Camila. Lilith reminding her, maybe unknowingly, reminds her a lot of her mom and that causes her to blow up on her. Luz would hate that comparison, thinking about how similar her mom and Lilith are to one another. That because she still has such a strong dislike of Lilith, it bleeds over into how Luz views Camila and vice versa. In that, both Camila and Lilith value respect, an adherence to the rules, have a great sense of wisdom (arguably for Lilith lol /hj), and (eventually for Lilith once she gets to know Luz better) a genuine want for Luz to succeed and belief in her even though they are critical of her actions at times. Sure Eda reminds her of that more, motherly protective kind of love, in which she would do anything for her to be happy and healthy. Lilith can be the other side of that, the worry and slight doubt. That familiar way they each go about trying to understand and get close to Luz yet not quite getting it yet would still do whatever she’d ask for her sake. Luz at first would take Lilith being disappointed in her actions as an accomplishment. As they grow closer and the more Lilith reminds her of her mom, it becomes scary. The disappointment hurts and in an effort not to feel like that again and to not want to think about the comparison between Lilith and her mother she will snap back at her. Eventually Lilith would then have to change again and reassure her that she cares and by extent, her mother cares to. It is here Lilith is willing to let go of being so constantly controlling and learns to encourage first (or do some form of the compliment sandwich) and Luz comes to peace with her feelings about her mother and understands her position better. To be able to love herself even if she knows that she will always try to do her best.

i love Zen and Baehee a lot but damn, my ace ass would be so weirded out by their obsession with his looks in the beginning like yall, i don’t care how he looks like. I will totally support Baehee in her thirsting cuz it’s valid but stop trying to make me thirst cuz i just can’t,,,,,,

Yeah, it’s not always about looks but that plays a bit factor into Zen’s entire route and his experience. The reason why people keep going on and on about his look in the game is that that’s one of his main struggles.

He has spent such a long bit of his life, if not all of it, hearing people call him this or that. When he was young, it was like he was a curse and uglier than the word ugly. Now, people are constantly out there saying to him that he’s good looking and perfect.

But, does anyone really see him?

He’s more than what he looks like.

He wants you to see his talent for what it is, not because of his face. That’s his whole thing, you know? It can get really grating after a while but that’s why they point it out. Some people don’t even realize what they’re doing when they say stuff like that. Jaehee knows his looks and his talent, but sometimes I wish she’d lean more on his talent. That’s my only gripe with her.
