hot take most writers on AO3 who write reader inserts with Tengen omit the wives bc they’re actually too scared and/or prejudiced against polyamory and they don’t want to admit it or come to terms with it. most fics that omit his wives talk a big game about consent and how they don’t like the idea of him “cheating” or introducing a new wife (cowards, my god just admit you’re too lazy to write a scene where you get introduced lmfao) or all this other bullshit and it’s all to thinly veil their feelings about polyamory as a whole. but I see through it. I see through that veil and I know how y’all truly feel and what y’all truly think. you can lie to yourself in your little authors note and tags as much as you want but I see through it. maybe readers will coddle you but I know. I know.

Dc x Dp Prompt #6
“I’m a twin”, Damian said one night. He could feel the narrowed eyes of his family drilling holes on his back in disbelief. Not that he could blame them. Damian had never so much as implied being raised with a companion, much less a sibling.
“I had a brother”. Damian paused to recollect himself. He had not said his brother’s name out loud in over 8 years.
“His name was… Danyal”. Damian hated the way his voice wavered, but he could not help it. Danyal was everything to him, his other half. Their heart beat as one and when one heart stopped beating, the other one died with it. At least until his family put his heart on metaphorical life support without ever realizing.
“Where is he now?” His father asked, voice filled with knowing grief and a hint of betrayal. It had in fact been 6 years since Damian first showed up on his doorstep.
“Up there”. All eyes shifted towards the specific star he was pointing to. “Right before he died, he promised me he’d guide me from the stars. Unfortunately, the stars are not visible in Gotham, so my brother is unable to be of much help unless I leave the city.”
“Your brother is Polaris, the North Star?” Tim questioned warily, most likely in attempts to not offend him. Damian was aware of how stupid it sounded, but Danyal had promised, and his brother never broke his promises.
“Yes. Danyal is with the stars now, just as he always wanted”

i like to think that Ghost is actually softer than he lets on. It’s only natural for him to be defensive, what if somebody uses information about him against him?
But when Ghost truly knows that he can trust somebody, I think that he turns to putty.
Putty in the sense that, he’d mold himself for them, to accomodate them in his life. Making sure that he covers the corner of the table when you bend down to pick something up. Watering your plants that have mysteriously not died in 3 months. Restocking your favourite sweets.
While it may take a long time, his caring tendencies last a long time as well.
in addition:
He thinks you’re oblivious to all this, that you have no idea what’s going on. In reality, you play the part of being oblivious because you know that he enjoys caring for you in subtle ways since he hasn’t mustered up the strength to do it boldly.
Purposefully leaving the Sunday newspaper for him so he can do crossword and sudoku. Eating new sweets so you have an excuse to feed him some. Giving him a really quick peck on the cheek before leaving.
In the end, it’s the small, sweet nothings that amount to everything to him
