#also maybe specify which ask game you are referring to in the ask

Hello, Yuurei! Do you know if there is a timeline for the main story and events that would make for the best reading order? Even something as vague as "Beanfest is between books 3 and 4" to make a nice little roadmap for rereading purposes? Thank you so much if you can answer this!
Hello hello!! Thank you so much for this question, this was all so interesting to look into!
Reading order for events can be complicated, as the game seems to be playing with the timeline! For every "this is the order of events" compilation I found there was a disclaimer of "except for these points, which don't fit into the continuity," and that might just be how it is until we learn more about what is going on behind the scenes :<
If that is all right, I have put together a rough list of a possible reading order! (Largely by cross referencing the events/main story with things like this graphic, this summary page, and several anonymous posting boards, to learn what theories are out there.)
⚠️JP-server event information included below!⚠️ ⚠️ Also, this is not meant to be a definitive calendar of events! Just an idea about a potential order in which to read things with the least amount of timeline weirdness ⚠️ (but there is still timeline weirdness)
#1: Prologue #2: Book 1 #3: Book 2 #4 Stage in Playfulland #5: Glorious Masquerade #6: Terror is Trending
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the beginning of Playfulland Ace mentions upcoming Halloween preparations and finals, but he doesn't mention the Interdorm Spelldrive Tournament, so it is possible that this event happens after Book 2 (which is specified as taking place in October) but before Halloween.
The biggest issue with this lineup is Ortho, who appears at the very beginning in his college gear, which he doesn't get until Book 6. But they mention Halloween so it must be early in the school year, and it cannot be October of the following year because Trey and Cater are still living in the dorm...if you can forgive Ortho's outfit in the opening scenes, Playfulland otherwise fits in nicely.
Things get complicated with Glorious Masquerade and Terror is Trending, as they seem to be taking place simultaneously: both events begin with two different characters announcing that there is one month left until Halloween.
Tumblr media
I would recommend Glorious Masquerade first as we don't actually see Halloween happening at NRC (just Jack and Ace preparing for it), but both events are about lead-ups to two completely different Halloween celebrations being held on the same day and attended by many of the same people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As the end of Terror is Trending connects directly to the start of Spectral Soiree, it might be less jarring to start with Glorious Masquerade.
The continuity curiosity that people generally point to with the Halloween events is that the prefect is present for multiple people referring to Malleus by name, when they don't actually know what his name is until Book 5.
But there is something consistent across both Glorious Masquerade and Spectral Soiree:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The prefect never calls Malleus anything but Hornton.
It is possible that the game is asking for some suspension of disbelief with this point? Was my theory, but the prefect also uses the "Hornton" moniker during Firelit Sky, so maybe that is just what they do?
#7 Spectral Soiree #8 Book 3 #9 Book 4 #10 New Year's #11 Book 5
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Book 5 lasts over a month, with Vil scolding Epel for not practicing during what were ostensibly their winter holidays, so it may go from January to February (the day of the Culture Festival itself is specified as mid-February).
Tumblr media
The snow on the main campus seems to completely disappear during the three weeks between Malleus being invited to the VDC and the day of the event, but they might have just cleared it away for the festival.
#12 Harveston
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We know Harveston takes place during the winter but not exactly when. Epel recognizes the dwarves from Book 5, so reading it before 5 might feel odd.
#13 Book 6
Tumblr media
Book 6 starts only a few days after Book 5 and might technically come before Harveston, but from a reading-order perspective seeing Idia invite himself along to Epel's hometown right after kidnapping several people might be jarring.
Due to the timing of Harveston's initial release Ortho wears his pre-6 archetype gear for Harveston, which is also a point in favor of Harveston happening beforehand (a very busy few days for Epel and Idia). It will be interesting to see if Ortho gets changed to his college gear for the rerun, coming soon to JP server.
#14 Beanfest (1 and 2)
Tumblr media
#15 Fairy Gala / Fairy Gala IF
Tumblr media
#16 Vargas Camp (1+2)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The only hint we have for the two Vargas Camps is the knowledge that they happen within two weeks of one another and the title of the original event: Spring Happening.
#17 Rabbit Fes
Tumblr media
I wasn't able to find any reference to when Rabbit Fes might be happening, but Ortho in his college gear places it after Book 6, and it is heavily spring coded.
#18 Phantom Bride
Tumblr media
I was not able to find any specific timing for the Phantom Bride event, but we know there is not any snow on the main street, so presumably it is not during winter.
It seems to be generally assumed by fans that it takes place in June because of the June Bride tradition, and everyone's reluctance to do anything for Idia makes even more sense than usual if it is post Book 6.
#19 Tamashina-Mina
Tumblr media
Was also not able to find anything specific for the timing of Tamashina-Mina, but we know it is hot (Jack faints from heat stroke).
Leona mentions a rainy season and Japan's rainy season goes from June to July, so summer seems like a safe bet (it also makes sense to be separated far away from Book 2, considering Leona and Lilia's drama).
#20 Wish Upon a Star
Tumblr media
The Starsending also does not seem to have a specified month or season, but it is generally assumed to be happening in July because the event was heavily inspired by Japan's Tanabata, which is on July 7th. (more here!) Tanabata is also referenced by name in the original game.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like Playfulland, Wish Upon a Star’s main continuity issue is also Ortho: it is mentioned specifically that he cannot participate in the event because he is not actually a student at the school.
He becomes a student in Book 6, which seems like it should put this event before it, except for the Star Rogue subplot. Idia and Ortho discuss the discontinued video game in Book 6, a sequel is Idia’s wish for Wish Upon a Star, and at the end of the event this wish is granted, which hadn't happened as of 6.
No matter where you read Wish Upon a Star there is going to be some weirdness, so it may be best to decide based on personal preference! If Ortho still not being a student despite having just enrolled is more of a deal breaker than the Star Rogue subplot, it might be better to read it prior to 6.
#21 Lost in the Book with Stitch
Tumblr media
Floyd has a line about summer vacation coming soon.
#22 Firelit Sky
Tumblr media
Interestingly there do not seem to be any references to Firelit Sky taking place in the summer, but it is generally assumed to be around summertime due to the climate and fireworks festival.
Najma has a line about being worried about Jamil, but the conversation wouldn't be out of place before or after Book 4. Firelit sky might be one of the more flexible events, capable of sliding in just about anywhere, but the atmosphere fits in well with the line up of the Stitch event and Portfest.
#23 Portfest
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Portfest event takes about a month overall, but the time of year is technically never specified, so we do not know what month.
The biggest hint we get might be Rook calling the portwear designs "summery and cool." The aesthetic might fit best with Stitch and Firelit Sky, for reading order purposes.
#24 Bonus: Tsumsted
Tumblr media
I have no idea when Tsumsteds 1+2 are presumably taking place, but there is no snow on the main street. As they are light-hearted stories it might be best to enjoy them between events rather than the drama of the main story? Perhaps between Beanfest and Fairy Gala, or Vargas Camp and Rabbit Fest, etc.
I made a chart for reference while putting this post together! There may be better interpretations out there than what all has been listed above, so I will include it as well, for the curious:
Tumblr media
(and as always if there is anything I have overlooked, please do let me know! ♡)

wait so, what is the age order of the bone heads? Or atlesst how would you order them?
THIS IS A HARD QUESTION
Some of the guys doesn't have an official year-of-death/year-of-birth/period-when-they-lived, or even their current age, but I have some "official" info
Daniel - He's the one with a specific year of birth and death (1254-1286), with simple math he lived till 32 and has been dead for 738 years, a total of 770 years till this day
Lewis - In his wiki says he died at 21, the first Mystery Skull shorts doesn't specify in which period of time everything happened, but probably he just been down there a couple of years
Manolo - In the events of the movie he had 19, and he had kids at 22, at least from his wiki, I didn't find what period of time was when it developed the events of the movie, but based of the dialogue of Manolo's cousins, they fought in the mexican revolution and won, between 1910-1917, so probably the events of the movie happened after that, so he can't have more than 126 years, counting living and dead ones
Brook - We know he died at 38 and actually in the manga he has 90, the only thing is that the manga probably isn't in an modern era, I don't know in which period of time One Piece is inspired, so that's unknown
Jack - Doesn't have an official age, probably older than 20-30, also it isn't specified in which year the events of nightmare before chritsmas happened, if we take the year of the movie, near the 90's as the times of the events, then Jack could be between his 40-50
Manny - This is a tricky one, we don't know the age of Manny, even if the events looked like it happened near the 40's or 50's (Grim Fandango's second years is VERY inspired in the movie Casablanca, the events of that movie are in the middle of the WW2, so is very probably that hapenned in those years) we don't know if Manny is older than that. There's a reference in the click and point game Monkey Island and there's Manny with a pin that says "Ask me about Grim Fandango", this could be a simple reference or maybe Manny is HELLA OLD
This is the information I could gathered, you can do your own order of age, cause for now I'm not sure what to believe, if anyone knows some extra info I would appreciate it 😅

Hang on. May I ask what Hush’s pronouns are ? Because I used she/her in my last ask (I’m still giggling like a school girl because of your answer it was so cute), but in another one I saw your refer to the demon as a « big brother figure », so I’m a bit confused and afraid I made a mistake… ?
To make this ask a little more worthwhile, I somehow imagined demon Price scolding the other demons the same way Captain Price would scold his team when they mess up something or do nonsense ? You know, I’m picturing the frown, the crossed arms, the military stance and the gruff voice. And the team looking at their demons and snickering when seeing how their Captain and his demon are so similar to each other sometimes.
Hush prefers he/him but all the demons will respond to any pronouns, and I will answer asks regardless of pronouns for them. So, no mistakes! I haven't had pronouns specified for anyone but Threat, and Hush hasn't had much written for him!
As for Price(the demon) scolding the rest of the demons, I agree, I think it happens more often than anyone would like to admit. But they also end up scolding the rest of the 141 with Capt. Price since the demons are technically their handler's responsibility. I think in the field it sounds a lot like 2 different comms channels talking through each other lol
"How's the perimeter?" Soap asks, checking out from behind cover.
"Holding," You hum, "Hey do you know what Price is yelling about?" Soap makes a face.
"Which one?" Soap pushes off the wall to sweep the room. You listen for a moment to the demonic yelling, muffling Soap's steps as you do.
"Both of them," You conclude. It sounds like both of them. Your commanding officers both markedly upset over something that you don't really have the patience to parse. You're busy making sure your charge stays alive long enough to make it to the demo point.
"Dunno," Soap says after a moment, you snap your silence around Soap's gun as he fires, no reason to give up position over one unlucky soldier, "Maybe someone did somethin'."
"That doesn't narrow it down. Someone's always done something," You tell him.
"Could be marital problems," Soap jokes. Now that's an idea. One you're happy to jump on.
"Mom and Dad are fighting," You laugh, shaking sound from the shadows to get a feel for who's nearby. Clear for the moment, and your silence is holding strong. Price is still yelling at you of the little connection you've established between yourself and your demonic companions. The human Price sounds like he's reflecting her annoyance over Soap's comms. Two halves of the same conversation neither of you are paying attention to.
"Alright I've got another one," Soap keeps his gun high as he slinks through the empty corridor.
"Hit me." You like this game, Soap's jokes aren't exactly high comedy but they're certainly entertaining.
"What do you call kids in the military?" He sweeps around a corner, and starts down a flight of stairs.
"No clue."
"Infantry-" You snort "-Got that one from Ghost," Soap smiles stopping at the tunnel entrance. Allegedly blowing this point should send the rest of it speeding towards collapse. Something about structural integrity that you weren't listening to. Soap knows what he's doing, you trust him.
He shoulders his bag off and sets it on the ground, quick to start pulling out wires and switches. You're passed a pair of wire strippers as Soap's movements start getting more purposeful. His brow furrows, he stops, leans back to look at what he's already pulled, then goes back to the bag.
"Fuck me," Soap groans digging through his bag, "we forgot the C4." You stare down at the open bag, the yelling from your COs suddenly making a lot more sense.
"Huh." You eloquently sum up. Soap sits back on his heels. He makes a face, looking down the tunnel as he thinks. You're not sure what to do to help, this isn't exactly your area of expertise. Soap drums his fingers against the canvas.
"Where's-" He starts, rethinks, and looks at you, "Where's the sound go when you do your magic stuff?"
"It doesn't go anywhere?" You raise a brow, it's not some crazy magic, more scientific than anything else. Soap stares at you, waiting for an explanation. You sigh. "I stop the sound waves from happening or compress them down enough they're barely audible. It's the same with people, I either compress the parts that move or their air supply, but I'm not physically stealing sound." You explain, "That would be crazy."
"Right that'd be way more mental than what you just said," Soap gives you a sarcastic sort of nod. He looks back at the dead detonators and switches and grabs a handful of wires. "New plan," He tells you, "I'm going to make a noise, you're going to make it bigger."
"Not really how I work," You frown, crouching next to him. He takes the wire strippers from you, already building his noise maker.
"What do you mean? You compress sound one way, I'd bet you can bump it up the other. Just need the waves big enough to cause some damage." Soap frowns twisting two wires together. You don't know, you don't think he's wrong but you've never made sound louder. No one's ever wanted things louder.
You don't have time to run a trial run, but you suppose the pressure of an active combat zone is as good a time as any to experiment. You've done stupider things. You can't think of any right now but you're sure there must be something stupider you've done.
Soap glances at you, for being the king of quiet you don't usually go this long without talking. That's one of the reasons you get along so well, the banter just keeps going. He looks back at his work, if you're quiet he's sure it's for a good reason. Now, he doesn't know for sure that his science is sound, but the fact that you're giving it any consideration is enough for him. It at least buys Soap a little time to try and come up with something else. Maybe he should radio Price, see if his demon can send over some black powder.
"Ok," you tell him just as he gets the sound grenade hooked up, "Let's try it. Sub-sonic, super-sonic, it's all sound right?"
"Close enough," Soap grins. He tosses you a spare switch and watches you click it a few times. The sound stutters, raising and plummeting just as quickly. You wince, click it a few more times with similar results. "If it doesn't work we tell Price and take the lecture," He assures you. If it doesn't work you'll both be fighting your way out with a lot of explaining to do.
"Ready?" He asks, setting the timer on the only idea either of you have come up with. You nod and hold your hands out.
"You might wanna get behind me in case this goes south fast." Soap nods, and tosses the makeshift noise machine into the tunnel. He tries not to think too much about how badly this could all shake out if this doesn't work as he takes cover.
It takes a moment the soft beep of the count down timer fluctuating as you grit your teeth and try to do whatever it is you're doing. You understand this stuff better than Soap, or he fucking hopes you do. Because if you don't you're both fucked. One of the beeps pitches low, but it shakes the dirt. Your eyes widen, your lips moving with silent calculations.
"Hey, uh, might want to plug your ears Mactavish," You suggest over your shoulder. Soap is quick to snap his hands over his ears as the rolling wave of beeps gets bone quaking. The tone bouncing low and growing ever louder, reminding him of the shitty bass in that one tech song Gaz likes.
Everything goes quiet. Then the noise rushes in, explodes from the little beeper like a proper bomb. Buffeting the tunnel in a way that almost looks like the Jerry-rigged switch broke the sound barrier. Soap's never heard anything like it, and honestly he hopes he never has to again. It does the job though, shaking loose anything that could've been called a tunnel until it collapses in on itself. Even with the buffer of his hands there's a ringing in Soap's ears that doesn't bode well. You turn to grin at him, and when you speak it sounds like you're underwater.
But who cares when you grab his face and kiss him. A quick excited thing before you're shaking him by his shoulders. Were you always that warm? Were the callouses on your hands always that soft? Did you always smile so wide?
Your eyes dart towards the stairs and you tug at him to get his gun up. "We have to go!" You yell, near enough to his ear that he can mostly parse it.
"I think you shattered my eardrums," He yells, picking off the first soldier to come down the stairs to investigate. Later, he'll ask about the kiss later. For now you both have a job to do.

Do you have any concept art of what Mirage and Skywarp look like in both of your stories?
⚠️ ETA the next morning: I just realized this says "both of your stories." I have a lot of stories with those characters :u I somehow missed that part of the ask and answered with just Echo Garden in mind. SO that's what the below answer is for, just Echo Garden. Sorry. If you want to ask again and specify the stories, I can give you another answer :) Face The Past has a slightly different answer, if you were referring to that fic. ⚠️
HEHEHE thank you for asking 8)
Mirage
For Mirage, I really like his frame as seen in IDW1, but not in MTMTE, rather the sister comic running at the time "Optimus Prime" or later "Robots In Disguise." (or the other way around idk). I imagine this frame with fancier plating (fluted edges, sort of a 'fairy tale' look, if that makes any sense. Have you ever seen PretentiousFork's fairy tale Rodimus pic with the lil frog Minimus? Kinda like that, lovely little details) and, of course, his endorements (gold "tattoos") and inset gems. He has wheelwings and a G1 style helm and I love the design for his torso. There aren't a ton of refs for it but here's what I have:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just to contrast, this is what he looks like in the MTMTE/LL comics. I don't care for this design as much. The helm has swept back thingies and the shoulders/arms are kinda weird to me:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Skywarp
As for Skywarp... there's one design that I have in mind while writing, but even then it's a bit modified from this:
Tumblr media
The fic mentions pointy bits poking off his wings and limbs and the above wing pointies are what I mean. I imagine the Skywarp of the fic to be a bit more handsome in the face to be honest xD But overall I like this build. Like Mirage, 2938 Skywarp just starts at a fancier level from 0001 mechs, so his armor would also be... fancier... more "fairy tale." More elegant than the above but still kinda scary. Ha ha so helpful. UM. And of course, he's covered in Megatron-related designs, because he was a servant of Megatron.
Here's another shot of him from Spotlight Blurr:
Tumblr media
Here's Blurr elbowing him right in the crotch LOL:
Tumblr media
Here are some more Skywarp designs I really like. Hearts of Steel Skywarp in particular has a great aesthetic, and if anyone wanted to mentally substitute something more like him in the fic, I wouldn't be mad xD
Tumblr media
👆 so gorgeous. I have 2 of those figures lol
I also quite like the design seen here, which is from the RID comics. I've heard it's based on a video game design (??) but I don't know specifics:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Actually know what? Now I totally regret not using HoS Skywarp in the fic. Heck maybe we'll just change it to that.
Anyhoo, hope that helps =)

15 Questions for 15 People
@locke-n-k3y thanks for the tag :] ah hm tbh I feel like my answers for these might be a bit boring but let's see...
1. Are you named after anyone?
Yes! (Referring to my legal name- which I still use), I was named after a character from the soap opera "General Hospital" haha.
2. When was the last time you cried?
Last week lol- which was... The first time in a couple months? It was nice but not enough.
3. Do you have kids?
Absolutely not. Never lol.
4. What sports do you play/have you played?
Never did any sports outside of gym class! Not formally, anyways. I do workout (mostly strength/weight training) fairly regularly... But I don't think that really counts here lol. :0 Been thinking a lot lately about picking up boxing.
5. Do you use sarcasm?
Yup! irl I often go for a sort of deadpan delivery of my sarcasm- what I've learned from other people is that I'm a little too good at that (I sometimes say very ridiculous things very convincingly). I won't usually specify unprompted that I'm being sarcastic, but you're always welcome to ask. Not as sarcastic online in general, however.
6. What's the first thing you notice about people?
Irl? Hmm. Hard to say. Maybe: eyes, voice, posture.
Online? Typing/texting style I suppose!
7. What's you're eye color?
Dark brown 👁
8. Scary movies or happy endings?
Not mutually exclusive lol. But, happy endings. I don't "dislike" tragedies but I'm not actively drawn to them either.
9. Any talents?
HM. I mean obviously I have things I'm good at but I'm never quite sure what differentiates a "talent" from a "skill". I suppose a lot of friends have said something to the effect of me being "good at reading minds" haha- also "good at explaining things" which is debatable but sweet lol.
10. Where were you born?
Halifax! Which I feel fine saying cause I haven't lived there for a long time lol. A foggy fishing city that I miss even now.
11. What are your hobbies?
I guess a large chunk of what I do on this blog counts as hobbies? Writing (whether it's fiction or analysis or shitposts), drawing, audio clipping and editing apparently (though much of that I just keep to myself- same for drawing tbh). :] I've also gotten into making iron-on patches. Tabletop and video games for sure but... Neither as much as I'd like these days. I tend to collect a lot of things as well- most notably coins.
12. Do you have any pets?
I've had MANY pets of many different species- but currently just my cat Bok! I do tend to take care of my older sister's bunny a lot too though.
13. How tall are you?
5'4, which all my 6'0 friends love teasing me over 😒. I've been told that I "seem taller from the way [I] carry myself", however. (Despite everything, I'm actually fine with my height!)
14. Favorite subject in school?
When I was completing my bachelor's (in computer science) I was particularly drawn to graphics-related stuff! In highschool my fave was definitely drama haha (gee I miss it tbh).
15. What is your dream job?
I HAVE NO IDEA no idea and that's kind of my issue rn tbh. Plenty of things that seem interesting, but I don't think I'm the kind of person who could have the same job for my whole life, no matter how perfect it is. I'll presumably end up in something programming-related eventually, though it's not what I'm looking for now. OH OKAY ACTUALLY dream job? Probably doing video essays (or possibly let's plays) on Youtube haha.
15 PEOPLE IS A LOT OF PEOPLE TO TAG AND I ALWAYS FEEL SO SHY TAGGING PEOPLE IN GAMES and I have no idea who's been tagged already ahaha UM NO PRESSURE WHATSOEVER!!! @llumimoon @happi-tree @kaseyskat @abeinginsand @nolassolace @goldturnedgray @swiffin @insomaniiiac @meiwks @calamity-unlocked @coolfire333 @supremely-unsupervised @b1gwings @giraffeskull There! 15! Tried to get a few new people in there lol. But fr no stress!

Obey Me! Nightbringer "The Great Devildom Outdoors" Pop Quiz
!SPOILER WARNING FOR THE EVENT AND THE OM! ANIME!
My thoughts on Beel-centric 2023 event! Includes mention of the Obey Me! anime.
Finally a Beel event!! The theme of camping wasen't a bad option, but the timeline if connected to the anime at all is a bit wonky (will explain more later). If you haven't seen the anime my guess is it takes place sometime durring the original game timeline. Basically the plot is MC takes a long trip to the human world and the brothers are a mess.
Tumblr media
Okay these options make the most sense; Lucifer is stated in the anime as being a caping expert of sorts (whole episode on this), Levi probably saw a camping anime and would want to go, Bel obviously is going to support his brother and Simeon + Luke like trying new things.
Now where things get funky. It's implied in this event this is everyone's (except Beel) first time camping and they know very little about this. In the anime Lucifer is an experienced camper and takes Beel, Mammon, and Asmo camping with him one day for their first camping experience. The trio wants to enjoy their first camping experience and try new things, but Lucifer is so overbearing they all end up leaving. So I think it's safe to say this pop quiz event does not take place in the Anime! timeline. Unless this event is what gets Lucifer into camping (started doing it solo) and he just kind of ignores the fact Beel got him into camping as he is 'better at it.'
Anime Lucifer is unhinged for real tho.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moving on the group is split into two teams; cooking and food prep. I got to help with the tent! I appreciate it was a pop up one xD
Tumblr media
Yes, yes! Solo trip with Beel! This is what I wanted!! Tho I'm not sure I agree with their definition of glamping? It seemed more like going to a rustic resort that offers activity and meal services. Where I live glamping is often referred to using a nice trailer instead of a tent to go camping.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These moment's here officer these are the moments that made my heart squeel. I dry him off and we are SHARING A BED.
Tumblr media
All the food sounded really yummy! It was particularly preped and we assembled + cooked? This choice above was kinda weird tho? It's in response to Beel saying the ingredients look good enough to eat raw. I picked the bottom option cause a lot of the ingredients could be eaten raw (not the srimp).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Going to the lake with fireflies was so cool! Very beautiful :3 and Beel saw a shooting star.
I always try to never shame/bring down, Beel for being hungry as he has little control over it. I picked to have a pastry in my bag instead of candy because irl I often have some kind of, bread, muffins, crackers in my bag as back up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
picked the top option cause I just have trouble sleeping in general and often the location dosen't have any impact. Though my perfered sleeping spots are cars and nice hotel beds xD
Beel you can't say such a suggestive thing while we are sleeping away together >_<.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(This isn't the whole interaction- more a note to myself that I have more photos saved)
Aaa-a kiss?! As much as I was feeling the option in the moment I was playing I still went with the top one cause that's something I would be more likely ask for even if I wanted the kiss (*cries in lonely irl person, but not lonely MC*)
Please someone cuddle with me!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The other root was camping on the lawn which was fun! Luke put our tent up all by himself! I was not allowed to eat burnt food xD It's not specified what we are eating here.
Overall I greatly enjoyed the event. But I do think this could have also been framed as a Lucifer event to match some existing lore (to be fair I have not completed the og game so maybe it makes more sense with that context) and Beel's event could have been one of the past events, specifically the fangol one.
Foods Mentioned
Lava Cheese Fondue (Made By Levi)
Clam Risotto (Made by Simeon + Lucifer)
Black Tapir (Glamping)
Bone-in Sausage (Glamping)
Garlic Fried Shrimp (Glamping)
Seasonal Vegetable Salad (Glamping)
Paella (Glamping)
Crème Brulee (Glamping)

Hi Katarina, I read a previous ask you received about Abby's age and wanted to run something by you. On the timeline page on the TLOU wiki one of the references says "Abby is 20 at the time she kills Joel, as confirmed both in Gamecast Ep. 26 and Spoilercast with Neil Druckmann" - weirdly both links actually go to the same video, but either way it's Neil saying that Joel isn't as wary of Abby when he first meets her because Abby's 'the same age as Ellie', which if taken completely literally would make her...19, right? 'Cause Ellie's still 19 at the very start?
So maybe he just meant she's *roughly* the same age, like in the same age bracket, especially if the art book specifies early 20s...in which case she's anything from 20 to 23 going on 24 at the very oldest. But either way I can't for the life of me work out where they got the specific age of 20 from that comment? Like am I missing something really obvious that makes Ellie and therefore Abby canonically 20 at that moment??
Ik it's such an unimportant detail lmao but the moment I read that I was like "...nah I gotta page the resident Abby Expert" lmao
haha yes that's me and I have thoughts on this
Yes the wiki just says 20 and I've also clicked that link to that podcast where Neil vaguely says Joel trusts Abby because Abby's the same age as Ellie. But like going off that context, that doesn't necessarily mean they're the exact same age, it just means they're both young women.
Really all we have in the game of Abby's age is her looks and from the devs the vague "around the same age" and that she's a little older than Ellie. Then we have the art book book that says "early 20's" which is a little more specific and what I go off of.
20 is really what I think the youngest possible age for Abby is, because you compare 14, nearly 15 year old Ellie and flashback Abby, Abby seems older. Then in TLOU 2, Ellie is 19 in March/April, and going to be 20 in the summer. So Abby must be older than that.
I've heard some people quote Jocelyn, where when asked that question she says Abby's 15 in the hospital flashback. But I've seen enough of her streams to know she doesn't know that for sure where she was explicitly told that by Naughty Dog, at the beginning of her streaming when people would ask that she just said she doesn't know, but then eventually picked that age based off the "around the same age" comment and what others said, and the fact they used reference pics of her at 15 and 17 for young Abby. (Btw hospital Abby and flashback aquarium Abby are the same model, just different shirt).
So reallyyyyyy... I think there is a couple year range she could be, of like 20-22. I highly doubt she's 19 in Seattle and I doubt the hospital Abby is intended to be much older than 18. And all her friends in the Salt Lake crew are supposed to be around her age range too, like for example they weren't full soldiers on the Firefly front lines against Joel and they weren't full nurses, just students. So I really don't think any of them are much older than Abby by much as well.

Status -> Stimboards: Open -> Doodles: Open -> Icons: Open
anons
------
-> please refer to me as v2, pebbles or willoh. I use he/him pronouns and I'm aroace. I'm a french canadian user
-> interests for anyone curious. this updates from time to time
-> be patient with me if you send requests. I am tired all the time and I sometimes get too busy to work on boards
note: I can't work on anything that requires me to open wikis to get images if I'm on my laptop since the wiki lags. this just means I'll take a bit longer to get to some requests so you're welcome to provide me with an image [could just link it or send it via dms if you'd wish to remain anonymous in the asks]
------
-> main blog is @willohthebug
-> I also run @ultrastim [ultrakill related] and @sliver-board [rain world related]
------
-> anons are allowed to sign off with a name or emoji which will be recorded on a notes app + a post on here. I sometimes may ask for anons to provide pronouns so I don't accidentally misgender someone when talking about them
-> guide that I made to help
Tumblr media
I will do: -> Original Characters -> Oc x Oc / Canon x Canon / Oc x Canon. I welcome ships -> Kin stimboard -> LGBTQ themed boards -> Animals -> Fandom characters [catified designs / your own designs are welcome!] -> Fandom specific -> Gift stimboard
--
Fandom Specific would be asking me to create a stimboard based off Undertale and not a specific character from the game
ships are only welcome if they're fine to do. if you ever see me do a ship board where it's problematic, please inform me and I'll get rid of it. I try my best to do research on canon x canon to make sure nothing is bad
--
I won't do: -> Spiders -> Soap Cutting -> Water Slime -> IRL people
--
I won't be recolouring gifs because it's a pain in the ass
--
Maybe: -> Bugs [it depends which ones]
Tumblr media
-> this is a general stimblog! I do multifandom stuff and I'll allow pretty much anything
-> regarding fandoms: I don't care what fandoms you wanna request, I'll do the ones I'm comfortable with. I ask that you specify the fandom when requesting fandom characters so I don't get the wrong thing
-> requesting a kinboard is simple, just inform me it's a kin and i'll tag it. you're allowed to ask me to tell people to not tag it as id/me/kin if needed
-> " [character] x [character] " to me is a ship while " [character] and [character] " isn't one. you're allowed to specify ship or not in your request if needed but this is how I write them down. I don't understand people going " [character]/[character] " so it takes longer for me to do it
-> if you want me to use a specific image, I'll ask you to please provide it for me because sometimes it would involve me needing to hunt it down and I never find it in the end sometimes. I look at the wiki more than I try to look directly into the source [due to some sites not allowing screenshots yknow]. I will not accept fanart that isn't made by you without clear permission from the one who created it so I prefer if only official art was handed over
-> please be specific on your themes, you're allowed to not request any themes and let me choose everything but in most cases it takes me longer + me doing a ton of research
-> I do three characters max into one stimboard as more would look strange obviously
-> you can request multiple boards!! you don't have a limit, and you're allowed to request the same character[s] multiple times even if someone else already requested one
-> I'm allowed to change the theme around even if provided with specific stuff. I only change if I can't find a theme or if I think something else fits. I'm also allowed to deny any requests I'm not comfortable doing or that I can't do
Tumblr media
oh what did you mean by [blank] in your posts?
sometimes I add in blurbs when I make my own posts while sometimes I don't
-> for my own benefit - I think this is clear enough but pretty much means the board was created for me
-> I know what you are - I know exactly who the anon is off anon as I am probably friends with them
------
can you explain these tags?
-> #stimboard-logs - despite my new username as this is my original one, this is my general tag for anything I create -> #gabriels stimboards - only stimboards I create get tagged as this
------
-> Stimboards: " hey could I request a Gabriel from Ultrakill stimboard with themes of wings, gold and swords? " can also be written as " Gabriel [ultrakill "
--
-> Ship stimboards: " hey could I request a v1 x v2 from Ultrakill stimboard? " can also be written as " v4v [v1 x v2 ultrakill] " -> if you write down their ship name, please specify the names separately for easier research
--
-> Kin stimboards: " can I get a Foxy from FNAF stimboard? this is a kin request "
--
-> Doodles/Icons: " can I request a doodle/icon of [character/oc] " doodles can sometimes be actual drawings instead of normal doodle if you request doodles/icons, I will obviously want to be given the ref of the oc
Tumblr media
-> what are some requests you would deny?
anything that makes me uncomfortable to work on or if it's problematic in some way then I'll deny it. I also avoid anything that wants me using bright colours or if the character is really bright [which might just be me putting an overlay on it] since bright colours gives me bad headaches
--
-> is there anything you won't allow for themes?
spiders, water slime, anything on my " won't do " list really
--
-> could I make a blog inspired from yours?
you don't have to ask, anyone is allowed to make a stimblog. I might look at your blog if you do make one though and I'm aware of it
--
-> can I ask for this specific thing again?
go ahead! I don't mind
--
-> can you tag this for me?
yeah, sure. make sure to tell me if it's a cw or tw because I don't know the difference :[
--
-> am I allowed to request a stimboard for someone else as a gift?
YEAH!! please do, these are fun to make

How do you create such a cool fanadventure like yours, and how do you make character bibles?
Aw, thank you, that's very flattering!! I'll be sure to pass your compliments onto the rest of the team, too, lol!!
I don't know how much help my advice will be here, since we're still in the Active Development stages, but I'll give what I've learned anyways, both through the project and through other means. Here are some things that will be your best friend in the long run!! Feel free to ask for follow ups or clarification!!
Content Warning: Long, I Guess!
The first thing you need is an idea. I know, that's the most basic thing to start with, but when you have some kind of base concept you want to work with, everything else falls into place with it. Hopefully, anyways. As you develop the story, this foundational concept will also develop. You can have as many beautifully crafted characters as you want, but if you have no plot, or no unifying concept behind the story, they'll go completely to waste.
The second thing you need is something I don't see a lot of people spare themselves, and it ultimately leads to their downfall: TIME. Things like this take a lot of time, and that's not just referring to the active run of the comic. You'll want to give yourself plenty of time to develop the story and it's characters before you really make any publishing moves. Don't just make a basic concept and your main cast and post your first page on the spot- give yourself some time to develop things and get as much planned out as possible for the scope of your story. You'll save yourself a lot of stress.
Dedication!! So much dedication!! Commitment, commitment, commitment. Lots and lots of it. So, so, SO much dedication to the craft. You have to really be passionate what you're doing if you wish to carry through with it and have a good time whilst doing so.
The question here about Character Bibles is very interesting, and very important!! I don't see a lot of people talk about Character Bibles in their writing advice online, and I feel like that's a bit of a crime. To those uninitiated, a Character Bible is an outline document that tells you and whoever else is working on the project everything they need to know about a specific character. It harbors every character detail you could possibly think of- their basic introductory details, their personal history, personality, quirks, everything!! They're incredibly important when it comes to this kind of project- an absolutely necessary thing to have on hand for quick and easy reference!! The aim of the game with them is to not forget literally anything. It's all about consistency and cohesion.
Personally, for Sovereignstuck, we have several bibles per character using varying levels of detail on their specified subject matter. No clue if this is a common method or not, but it’s what works for us. There are some good outlines for what you could write in them online, but my personal advice is to start with charts of the most basic information you have on a character- name, age, orientation, gender, race, class, aspect, et cetera. After that, you can get into the more in-depth stuff. I recommend having a little “Stream of Consciousness” document where all you do is ramble about whatever comes to mind first with the character, write down any questions you have for yourself, figure out answers when you can, et cetera. Stream of Consciousness is a lot more approachable than just pumping out a well structured, well formatted chronological essay on the character off the bat, especially when you’re in early stages and aren’t too familiar with them yet.
If you’re working with large casts, which you most certainly will be if we’re talking traditional SBURB-type fanventures, then spreadsheets are your friend- they are fantastic methods of keeping track of a lot of basic information at once, all with ease of quick reference + comparison. I can maybe make a spreadsheet template for fanventure setups later, if anyone’s interested.
Also, you’ll probably need bibles to keep track of a lot of things in the story! A great example is your personal interpretation of Mythological Roles. It’s generally just a good idea to have some kind of reference page on what your magic system is. Doing all this writing seems overwhelming at first, but you really get the hang of it as you keep doing it.
Also, as general advice, be selfish. This is a project you’re working on for fun, so if you stop having fun, feel free to drop it- whether that’s temporarily or permanently. Put yourself first. Ideally, you will be having fun working on this, and that’s the most important aspect of it all. If you stop having fun, find out why and try to solve the issue! Feel free to hit the bricks literally whenever! Even Hussie did!
Hope this helps at all! Have a lovely day!

hey.
please consider buying me some steam games in exchange for art.
here are some examples. feel free to ask for more if these don't give you a good enough idea of my styles. also, please specify which style you'd prefer. the more realistic one (shown in the 2nd and 4th images) tends to cost more because it takes more time for me to make it look right.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(sorry for the long post, tumblr mobile won't let me add things below the cut.)
here's the link to my profile
check out my wishlist. the sales are taken into account when it comes to the art you get.
I want Games; they're organized from most desired downward. if you gift me one of these games, I'll give you art. PLEASE specify what you want.
$5 and below = headshot/bust sketch, uncolored
$6-10 = full-body sketch, uncolored OR headshot/bust, lined and colored
$11-15 = full-body, lined and colored OR two headshots/busts, lined and colored
$16-20 = two full-bodies lined and colored OR a sketch full-body in my less cartoony style
$21-25 = three full-body sketches in my less cartoony style OR three fullbodies lined and colored in my normal style OR a reference sheet with expressions and props (ask about this one!)
$26+ = idk, my first born? just kidding. if you actually buy me any of these I'll be willing to make SEVERAL pieces of art. we can negotiate it.
YES: OCs, canon characters, shipping, self-inserts, anime, furries, humans, monsters, complex designs (which will be simplified in the cartoony style!), animatronics, androids, DND, blood, simplified gore, nudity
NO: NSFW (maybe. ask. it depends.), fetishes, bigoted art, mechas, major changes to the image past the sketching phase (ask what counts!)
pricing is negotiable based on complexity. if you want something I haven't listed, ASK and I'll tell you the price. I'll also maybe do writing commissions if we're mutuals. ask me if you would prefer to pay in gift cards over steam games. check my steam game list/wishlist to make sure nobody has bought me the game you're planning to buy already.

Well, well... let's start a new ask game with something PAINFUL! https://www.tumblr.com/frodo-with-glasses/699931081844162562/oh-no-details-are-under-the-cut-not-samfro No. 4, 15, 16 and 20, if that's not too much
Ohoho, you were always the one for angst, weren’t you, Maggie? ;-) Nice choice!
Tumblr media
(Read the whole comic here!)
4. What part of this piece was the most difficult to draw?
Definitely Frodo’s pose in the first panel. I wanted to create this feeling that Frodo was towering over Sam—sort of hunched over him with this greedy, demanding, frightening presence—but it was really difficult to get that across and also keep him, ahem, decent. I ended up taking a lot of reference photos of myself in the mirror to try to get it right.
A close second is the pose where Frodo is snatching the Ring from Sam. I’m still not 100% happy with that one, but it works for what it is.
15. If you drew in color, what color would [x] be?
You didn’t specify which part of the drawing you’re curious about here, so I guess I’ll just describe the whole thing: Sam’s hair and vest are brown, his trousers tan, his cloak grey, and his skin slightly tanner than Frodo’s; Frodo’s hair is of course blonde with brown roots, but rather dirtied up at the moment, and his skin would be pale except for the red whiplash on his back and the greenish wound on his neck. The Ring, of course, is gold and shiny, and its chain is grey.
But since we’re in the Tower, and it’s dark, and the only light is the lantern overhead, we might actually get a color scheme that looks very similar to the one in Scarlet; all harsh blacks and reds. Very dramatic. Very bright red glint on the Ring when Frodo snatches it. And Frodo’s eyes might possibly look bloodshot in the last two panels.
16. If there is a song or quote associated with this drawing, why did you choose that song/quote?
The only quote associated with this drawing is its caption, “oh no”. I chose that caption because…well, I feel it’s a proper response. X-D Oftentimes I use the caption to add a second joke or something, but with the dramatic moments, I try to be a bit more frugal with my words so as not to undercut the emotions of the scene.
Now, if you’re trying to ask why I chose to draw this scene in particular—well. Because pain, that’s why. >:-D
20. Quick! Random fun fact!
Okay so the reason this took me so long to answer is because I couldn’t think of a fun fact to put here—but finally, I think I’ve got something!
In many other comics, I use nice neat squares and rectangles as the panel shapes. It’s just easy to work with. Here, however, the comic is structured as four large triangles, with tinier trapezoids in sort of a pyramid shape within the second big triangle.
This definitely made the comic a huge pain to plan (lol), but it serves a purpose: the slanted lines and irregular shapes makes everything feel “off-kilter”, slightly “wrong”, a reflection of how Frodo isn’t quite himself in this moment because of the Ring (and in a way, the same is true for Sam!). Everything from the shape and size of the panels to the way they’re battling for real estate on the page reflects the confusion and conflict of this moment.
I especially like the contrast between Sam’s quiet, tiny, “I could share it with you, maybe?” versus the huge visual BANG! of Frodo tearing the Ring away from him in that enormous panel. It’s like a sucker-punch in the gut, which is exactly how I imagine it would’ve felt for Sam >:-3

There is something so unique in this situation.
For people to look at Emmet and go "you must be Ingo's descendent." And the raw confusion and outrage that line would cause.
Like what the fuck are you saying?
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?
Ooooor they play a mean game of pronouns. Where- outloud- ingo is only referred as what he is (uncle, snealser warden, the faller, freak) or just He.
Ex. "Almighty sinnoh I can't believe he got with someone"
"What was that?"
"Nothing."
bc for the hisui gang, there is no question who they're referring to when they look at emmet and say "he." like the entire conversation there's no need to specify. the closest anyone probably gets is melli being an asshole ("i didn't know space case even had any friends" etc) so they're probably having this group whisperargument and whoever's listening in (a depot agent, maybe elesa?) is catching snippets that are just completely inscrutable.
and then there's also the option of someone asking emmet- in that very particular "i have a thought but i'm not exactly sure how to voice it" manner- if he has any family in sinnoh...? and what is he supposed to say to that? like. not to his knowledge. but then with that answer even in his head he goes to another option- why would they think he does? because they've seen someone there that looks like him? and now he's having his OWN whole emotional crisis which he can't even try to clarify because he needs more information

HI what are your thoughts on void/ void termina?
This ask is back from May 17th...
If you’re still around, I’m so sorry, Anon...!
I know there's a lot of differing thoughts about Void, and some of that is due to localization differences, sometimes headcanons get widespread acceptance, sometimes ideas are just out there because. While I could have gone on at length about my feelings on Void at the present time, I wanted to take a fresh look at the (non) deity, starting from the beginning.
So I went back to "The Interview" where Kumazaki talks about Void Termina/Ende Nil, the one where he compliments the interviewer for getting it "incredibly close" (when they bring up that Void begins to resemble a very Kirby like being) and something that stood out to me this time were the lines:
"(Void Termina) does not possess a clear consciousness/will. Its settei is that of the power of the dark hearts entering a vessel, upon which they are condensed and manifested."
That line stood out to me. (Sorry for the clunky translation. I wanted to be careful regarding where the emphasis fell) Void is just...a vessel. Void is not a god. Kumazaki did not want to introduce a Capital G god into Kirby (or a lower G god, one presumes.) Now, this vessel bit may be referring to the form known as Void Termina, as literally when you pop the mask off, Void is something like an empty husk. A suit without a body in it. The "body" was made as per Hyness's wishes.
(Which, to my mind, absolutely ties Hyness to Halcandra because Void Termina and Halcandran Bouncy have the same mask. What that mask means? ...Not the slightest clue.)
But then the interviewer’s question was about the interior Void, who resembles Kirby. So that Void is also a vessel? I've been trying to figure out the timeline on this. I was having trouble placing everything (I desperately need to go back and play Star Allies, as bouncing back and forth between games and alternate universes has actually left me a little confused as to what happened when.)
Because there's another line in there about how what's left inside Void after Hyness is taken out is “an impulse for destruction” and also...”an innocent heart.” But Kumazaki doesn't specify (not here?) that the innocent heart comes specifically from Kirby. (It most certainly doesn't come from Hyness - and I say this as a Hyness fan. I love the blue skrunkly but even Kumazaki is like "lol, no, he crazy.")
So, is the innocence in Void the innocence of a being that has the capability to become anything? Or is Void, even in its newborn state, ever so slightly leaned toward being an entity of good? I kind of wonder. Because even as Void Termina, there's this....I don't know, maybe it's the Kirby element of the whole thing, but I've seen gods of destruction in other games (a popular figure in JRPGs to be sure) and they all have these similar visuals to them.
Kirby as a series has a strong visual image that may have played a role in Void Termina's design, but they seem more like something chaotic or even “confused” than something evil. (Talk about confused, I always though parts of Void Termina just looked kind of “wrong?” The “angel” form in particular just feels weighty and clunky and misshapen? I think those dueling natures of destruction and innocence could be the reason.) Anyway, I don't think Void, even Void Termina, can be "pure evil" regardless of the wishes of the being that influences it, just because of that innocence present from the beginning.
How does that explain Zero?
Well......... Zero did give birth to Dark Matter Blade and Gooey. So, for all that Zero can be considered the most "pure evil" entity in Kirby, there was still innocence inside it (Gooey) and a part that wished...for a friend (Blade.) I think back to "a dream of friends reunited" from Void’s description when I think of that... Poor Blade...
In that sense, Void and Zero really aren't that different. Although, if Void became Void Termina due to the influence of Hyness, who, while crazy, was not completely evil - being beloved by his people as a leader and able to save the Sisters and raise them lovingly and even able to be redeemed and reunited with his loved ones - just what in the universe made Zero? ...Something tells me it would have to be "the collective evils" of something. It couldn't just be one person's fault. Also, why didn't anyone stab four spears of heart into Zero, instead of Void?!
...Or was Zero birthed from Void's pain at being sealed?
Speaking of Void's earlier destruction and the incarnations of Void, part of what makes Void so interesting is because there is lots of talk in game and in extra material of Void being "reborn" (very interesting if you think about characters like Magolor and Susie as maybe having “died” once - or the concept of “immortality” on Popstar) and yet, there may also be infinite Voids? Or many Voids? Or one Void in every universe/dimension? They say matter can neither be made nor destroyed, so Void's rebirth may be tied to that. (Heyyy! "Matter." Haha!) And Zero 2 came back out of Zero! (...Look, I'll buy that there may be something suspicious going on with Ado and Adeleine, but HAL isn't going to convince me that Zero 2 isn't at least the shell of Zero left behind after it became a bloody eyeball.) Although Zero 2 hasn't “come back” yet...
But what's interesting about Void's rebirths is that, going by the interview again, Kumazaki says throwing Friend Hearts at Nil hurts because Nil will never be able to be a friend in this incarnation. Meaning that. to a certain degree, Void(s) cannot change what they are once they are born. Else it would be possible for THIS void to become a friend.
Now, if we take the very heart-warming picture of Hyness and the Sisters and Void at the beach as canon, or at least, considered acceptable at the time to be released as an official piece of art, then the change between rebirths doesn't have to be radical or even remotely visually different. As Friend!Void still looks like Void... Hmm...
...I just think the idea of Void(borns) not being able to change what they are once they incarnate as being interesting because while Kirby is Kirby is Kirby and doesn't change from their happy, loving personality any, they do possess the ability to change via their copy abilities...
...
(I know I wrote a ton of essays about Meta Knight not being the same species as Kirby, but while we're on this topic, if he is a Voidborn, you've got another interesting dynamic of someone who looks altogether DEVILISH who is pretty much a good guy now, although he still likes to fight. Was Meta Knight born/made for evil purposes, and struggles against his nature every day? Are eating parfaits and reading books a de-stressing routine for him? Why does Dess always come up with the angstiest possible headcanons for the characters I love? The world may never know...)
...
So, uh, a "matter most dark." Everyone knows my biases by now, so I'm going to spend a little bit talking about AHHHH VOID TERMINA ATTACKS YOU WITH THE MASTER CROWN(s) AHHH.
I do think it's cute when people give lil' Magolor the “Soul” eye, but lore-wise, I think it's probably not his. (I feel the RtDL novel adaptation also steps in to say it is NOT his eye. Although if you want to say he’s stuck with it after RtDL, well, that is pretty horrible, but certainly a possibility.) Needless to say, I think the general assumption is that the eye in his mouth is representative of Dark Matter. And it comes out when the Crown comes into full possession of him/full control.
And the crowns that Termina attacks you with bear a closer resemblance to the "evil" version of the crown that it transforms into once Magolor puts it on (with evil intentions) than the docile, dormant version of it Landia is sporting. (Shame that they couldn't model the crown to look more evil for Parallel Landia.)
Void also has (ancestral) memories of Dark Matter - at least enough to take a very Dark Matter form when fighting you. I suppose Void could have read these from Hyness, but also.......Hyness maybe seems like he doesn't know everything he talks like he knows? So I wouldn't be surprised if Hyness himself had never encountered a true “Dark Matter.” Although Kumazaki does suggest the faces Void takes may have come from the collected Dark Hearts? Is he reading Dedede’s memories of Dark Matter???
Ahem. I think the Master Crown isn't just made of Dark Matter, it is made of Void. I mean, it “shifts depending upon the user”? That's pretty much exactly how Void works.
Is there a captured "Void" inside the crown? It shows a semblance of - highly parasitic - life when it wriggles on top of Magolor’s head. At least, I always assumed that was a parasitic action since there’s the part where it attaches itself to him in a way that is impossible to remove without hurting Magolor, and of course, it later turns him into a husk/puppet. But, wild thought coming up, what if that wriggling was the Crown - or the Void - trying to remove ITSELF from Magolor, who used his magic to make sure it couldn’t be easily be detached?
If Voids have an innate innocence, imagine being woken up from a long, Landia maintained slumber and told by this crazy but mostly lonely wizard you’re going to help him take over the known universe? You’d try to get away too. Of course, if the Crown is an ancient made device, did have Void or Void’s essence in it….and we know the Ancients had experimented with Elfilis in the past…
Had the whole myth thing and talk of destruction been a cover up and the Ancients were actually capturing Voids (or using the one they captured, chipping pieces off of the heart like energy crystals) to use to power their devices? - If they “made” Galacta Knight to be their hero (orbs as a created species theory) they could have!
It really would be just like how they used fragments of Elfilis to power their devices! And on that note, I have 100% serious THOUGHTS about this....
.
Void / Elfilis (the corrupted origin/the source)
Master Crown / Galactic Nova (the literal "deus" ex machina)
Zero / Star Dream (the empty shell/"what has science wrought")
Magolor / Marx (the antagonists turned victims of power)
Kirby / Elfilin (the good ones/the innocent)
.
(This is why Dess holds Marx & Magolor are the most important Kirby villains. Because, mirror universe aside, they are the "through a mirror darkly" of the two most important forces in the Kirby universe we presently know of.)
So yes, in that sense, that is how I view Void. I enjoy the "another dimension afterlife" theory. At the very least, I believe it's incredibly likely the Ancients viewed AD and Void through that lens, but I tend to lean toward Kumazaki's words that Void isn't really a god. No more than Elfilis is a god.
Randomly, while this still doesn't explain the mask (rather, it doesn't explain why Bouncy has it) but Void’s mask is an upside down heart! ...Okay, okay. Everyone could tell that at first glance. I know...
...Oh, oh! But speaking of hearts though, and because I already brought the Master Crown up, I wanted to show something and see if people thought I was completely out there or not! So, the Jamba cult's logo, right?!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's very kind-of-maybe-not-completely unlike the Master Crown unleashed, right?? I mean, it's got the wings and the horns! The center dot could be either the Dark Matter eye, or the crown's central jewel!
(I tend to think Hyness and Magolor, if they ever meet, would have a relationship where Magolor would be the one in the weaker position, Hyness being a cult leader and all, but do you suppose if Hyness was around for RtDL...he might actually consider Magolor Soul('s form) a being worthy of worship? That could get reallllllllllly uncomfortable for Magolor really fast.)
I just can't help but notice that while the logo is ostensibly supposed to be Void Termina (in angel mode) Void is missing the curved wings and the standing horns. Plus, Void only has two horns! That is to say, Void's angel form may be what Hyness envisioned, based on his interpretation of that symbol, when that symbol was in fact referring to a creature closer to what the Master Crown tried to shape Magolor into. Interesting possibility, at least.
...In conclusion...
Is Void Classic Mode Kirby?
...I don't know! I mean, probably not. That's a whole time loop situation I'm not sure I'm ready to get into. But Void was reborn, right? Where are they? Still at the beach? Possibly! I mean, the Dream Stalk is one of those things that we're informed is "still around" we're just not ever going to see it again. (Hopefully we'll see it again! I mean, we got the sunken Halberd from SDX in Squeak Squad! Oh, oh, this is not related to this ask at all, but playing through RtDL again made me realize that the first level of Nutty Noon takes place IN FLORALIA! I can't believe I missed that til now.)
...Alas, it's late where I am. I feel like I should have more to say about Void, but since Void is so intricately tied into so much of Kirby (especially going by my Void & Elfilis through various incarnations chart above) that we'll inevitably cycle back around to the glowing ball of friendship again in touching on various other Kirby theories and discussions.
Hope that was enough to tide everyone over for now!
Phew! That does it for my oldest remaining ask!
.
.
.
W-well, actually, I've still got a reply from @thecrashman about the "Magolor and the Mage Sisters as step-siblings involved in a hilarious prankwar" idea I never responded to. If you're reading this, I generally agree with your take on how the Halcandran family hijinks would go!
Flam and Fran would have a folie a deux thing going on and thus, be some of the biggest instigators, whereas Zan is the one to throw her hands up and tell everyone to Stop That.  Basically, THIS video from PaintraSeaPea. I'm no good at coming up with pranks myself - and I cringe too much to watch any online - thus, couldn't draw anything fun for it though. Sorry about that!

ask dumps hitting double digits 😳
hooooo boy number ten!! okay today we got: what self repair looks like, transformable furniture, medical supplies, mythological creatures, multiple bodies, TFP’s Nemesis, a Final Fantasy reference, teething kiddos, and cosmetic alterations
Tumblr media
yknow that’s a good question i thought i had talked about this before but it appears not. for scrapes and scratches, i always picture a rough grey “scab” of nanites, sort of like a weld mark but grittier, as the repair nanites form a protective layer over what they’re rebuilding, which eventually flakes away and paint nanites grow over the spot. individual nanites are too small to see with the naked optic, but a fuzzy or cloudy area on the optic that can’t be blinked or polished away would absolutely be distracting, maybe moreso than a clean cut!
Tumblr media
yes! and sort of no? there’s a lot of multi-purpose foldable or transformable furniture, appliances, tools, even rooms sometimes. the technology exists and it’s very useful! but along with the size and frametype segregation that’s built into architecture, size and frametype specified furniture is restricted to heavily trafficked public use buildings that cater to all classes, or fancy areas that have guests from everywhere. otherwise, you’re generally only going to find specific furniture for specific frames. if you’re a different size or frametype, too bad!
this is yet another way the JAAT is ahead of the game, all of its furniture and living spaces are accessible for as many frametypes as possible, and with more specialized settings to be brought out when someone needs something different. the kids are thrilled when they settle into their dorms and discover hey, this chair will unfold taller for a minibot and shorter for a size 4 so they can be at equal height at the table, and the back will recede so wings won’t be obstructed
Tumblr media
ha i didn’t think about herbal remedy type stuff for mecha, that’s clever actually. this is sort of related to the sixth ask here
medical care generally comes in two distinct but intrinsically linked halves: physical and digital. like how computer issues are thought of as either a hardware or software problem, mecha need both hardware and software running well to be healthy. on the digital side, there are ‘booster shots’ like datapackets on one-use interface jacks, or temporary fixtures to run scripts while the nervous circuitry is updating or recovering. on the physical side, it’s a lot of metalworking and mechanical tools. plasters and plastic covers, buffers, welders, etc. think the kind of stuff you’d see TFP Knock-out use, or Ratchet. proper medical supplies are sanitary, specific, and medical providers will usually check both hardware and software to see that whatever is being done is going well for both physical and digital systems
for homemade junker stuff specifically, you can basically pick up anything that’s clean and can be attached and use it as a patch of sorts, but it won’t integrate with the frame and you need to be careful to keep it clean so you don’t give yourself a rust infection. datacables might mitigate the unresponsiveness of this kind of extremely basic prosthetic, but they’re never going to have the sensory feedback of an actual frame, and are extremely unlikely to allow transformation. Terminus is a good example, he had to make his own prosthetic pede when he ended up on the streets. medicinally, there are some cyberflora with good health benefits, like logginkeys having seeds that can be eaten as basic debugging pills, but the problem is junkers may have zero access to any cyberflora in their given area if it doesn’t already grow there. stealing or rummaging through the trash might be a better option at that point
Tumblr media
well uh, not skeletons i guess, because they... don’t have skeletons. there’s the Necrobot, who is real, there’s the giant alloygator cryptid, who is also real, there’s legends of demons, ghosts, Primal elements, and of course all the various gods, demigods, and other forms of Prime or Prime-adjacent beings from ancient history, along with their alleged God War. they certainly have stories of the undead in various forms, especially around inhospitable places like the Rad Zone in Ultrix or the Forbidden Zone in Iacon. places like the Mithric Sea have stories of creatures like kelpies or sirens, indistinct and calling out to travelers to just come deeper for a bit, just a little farther, there’s something to see here, and the victim doesn’t realize they’ve been lured into fatal mercury exposure until they fall apart. the Sea of Ages has opposite figures, blessed children forged from the seas outside of any hotspot, or great hidden spirits of energon and sentio metallico that hear prayers and grant wishes at just the right time. there’s some mythologized accounts of real, extinct cyberfauna, like the giant flying whales of Cybertron, and some stories that might not be related to extinct cyberfauna at all, like stories of moving, living cities and great organic skeletons buried in the deep layers of the planet
and of course there’s all kinds of legendary, religious, or folkloric figures from all of history. think like anything ranging from Odysseus to Johnny Appleseed to Enkidu to King Arthur. people with fantastical, impossible abilities, or wild journeys, or impossible feats of skill and strength and accomplishment. some of them may be real historical figures like the Knights of Cybertron, some may be completely made up, and some may have a small basis in reality but are otherwise mythologized. of course, nobody expects people like the Autobots and Decepticons to show up and suddenly start making those stories look plausible
also i take back the no skeletons thing, because i’ve been reminded of something that absolutely fits (thank you stone!). Eukaris is a planet with a cyberformed organic ecology, and as such there’s cyberfauna and flora right alongside organic animals and plants that have adapted to live together. this planet definitely has legends of strange beastformers called Fossilizers, forged out of the corpses of organic animals and transforming from skeletons to living mecha. bizarre and terrifying for a mechanical species!
Tumblr media
mmmmmmmm actually i need to check my relic list, wherever the heck it’s gone
can’t find my list ._. the one from that mythology post is outdated, i’ll just have to make a new one. anyway. yes, probably! i like this idea a lot. it would definitely depend on the individual receiving the relic, since not everyone has the same powerset even when using the same relic. this is probably a good candidate for a different manifestation of the Enigma’s powers, maybe the Onyx Triptych or the Arsenal Force. an Allspark shard might do this too. i can’t promise this will actually happen but i think it’s definitely plausible, i’ll have to see if i can work it in somewhere
Tumblr media
i forgot what this meant and was trying to remember and all i could come up with was some kind of anti-dating app
so im going to assume you mean MECH’s Project Chimera? maybe? i don’t recall anything named Nemesis Protocol specifically and nothing turns up on the wiki under that term. drones and automatons in SNAP can get pretty advanced, but they are crucially not alive by biological or spiritual standards for Cybertronians. you could probably build a drone that looks very similar to a person and program it very well, but it would take some really good luck to keep up the charade for long when interacting with other people. it’s also basically impossible to fake a spark, and you can’t transplant/extract living sparks either, so all it would take is a cursory medical examination. i also use different design elements for drones vs people to make them visually distinct, their optics and the layout of their fingers being the most obvious
so a fake drone version of Optimus Prime is possible, but not super convincing, which is why the Nemesis Prime that shows up in SNAP will have a different origin :3
Tumblr media
OH THIS IS THE MEME GIF OF THE GUY SMILING INTO AN EXPLOSION THIS IS WHERE THATS FROM??? ASFHGFRRFE
so i will be honest i barely understood what was going on in this video and i also have no idea what the Fate you’re referring to means (surprise! Final Fantasy is also something i know nothing about!!) but the concept of a fatal finishing move is absolutely possible. Hellscream, Optimus, and Rodimus especially since they’re the immortal ones. Elita 4, Elita 5, Thunderblast, and Cyclonus also could probably take out a massive area with a self-destructive burst. but the whole magical binding circle thing in the video... i don’t actually think so? that’s not really how these relics work
however. as for bodily laser-beam just bursting straight through an enemy at speed, Cheetor can do that. get him an enemy with a chest cavity big enough to pass through and he’ll run literally straight through them and probably take out their spark chamber on the way
Tumblr media
so mecha don’t actually start out with individual dentae. sparklings already have dental shelves or plates in place from forging, so they don’t need to nom on things as teeth grow in. same for folks with grinder mouths, it’s already fully formed and functional. that does not however mean that sparklings won’t absolutely chew on anything and everything just as a matter of exploration. depends on the kid of course, some will fit anything in their mouths and some refuse to let even fuel get near their face if it’s unfamiliar
Tumblr media
i forgot about that movie wth that was such a good movie
i know i’ve mentioned this before. somewhere. ugh. most of the time the more drastic frame alterations will be function related, so something to improve your alt mode, or what have you. smaller cosmetic alterations can be anything from new paintjobs (eventually worn off as the natural hardcoding of the frame replaces the other paint color, like dyeing hair), to engraved or programmed tattoos, to modifying kibble shape to be sleeker or bulkier or something. permanent decals are kind of like piercing equivalents. drones are a good idea, i didn’t think of those. they’d have to stay away from transformation seams so they don’t get caught
i have reedmecha written in my notes as a type of cyberfauna but i haven’t expanded on that yet
i think while the Robots villain concept is possible, it’s just highly improbable. sure, there have been folks obsessed with the living metal of a frame (like Cannibaron) but also, why would you go through all the trouble of rounding up and murdering mecha, sorting through their corpses to separate out each material, processing that into something usable, and then selling it? they live on a planet made of metal, they really don’t need to kill each other for it. even the government largely ignores junkers instead of rounding them up all at once, because it’s really too much work for a problem that ultimately takes care of itself when they starve

Now that I think about it, I don't think it matters about the gender of MC to be honest. I think the only reason why they didnt really specify is because nor all players are male or not all are female or non-binary . So I think they just treat MC as gender neutral tbh so that female players dont feel like they are constantly referred as a boys and male players don't feel like they are referred to as a girls. And the non binary players are mistaken for a he OR a she. To kind of make it all equal.
Of course in the manga, Yuu/Yuuken was introduced as a male but thats the manga, but i dont think Disney intended him to replace the people behind the screem of the game tbh. Why would the game talk to you in the 2nd person if there is already a character for that already or they could have never even ask for OUR names if there was a character like that already. To all the people who thinks that MC cant possibly be a girl/boy/gender-neutral, you literally got teleported to another world, which even the dark mirror/Crowley doesnt understand. I don't think whatever brought you to Twisted Wonderland even cared to see what gender you were or how magical you were even though it sent you to a boys' school.
Sorry if I came across as aggressive (if I even did) but this is to the people who have a problem when they think Yuu/MC/reader (whatever you call it) can't be anything other than a male character and have a problem with creators who write them as gender-neutral or female. Of course it isn't a problem if you prefer it to be a male character but please don't slander the ones who prefer it not to be. I mean Twst came out a year or two years ago, not a century so I don't think every female character in it will end up having such a traditional role. Maybe Eliza did but there were some female characters in Chaoter 6 that didn't have those kind if roles.
Feel free to challenge my opinion since I am an open minded person and is open to other people's opinions too and I promise this wasn't an attack to male MC preferences at all. Please understand that it is an OPINION.
Those were really good points. I haven't played twst myself, so I didn't know that they refer to Mc by name or in the second person. Or that they treat Mc genre neutral for behavior. Which is actually a really reasonable bet because this way some players can forget that Mc is a man.
And when it comes to Manga (and maybe also Visual Novel ) it's true. Their purpose is to tell the story and not to make the reader imagine that they are the main character.
I'm not familiar with the matter, but I believe that the majority of Male Mc supporters want Mc to be a man so that they can identify with the character themselves. As an earlier Anon commented they don't have that much material. Not even a fandom because several authors only write Fem Mc ( this is not an accusation. )
That's why it would be important to them. As far as I know, Obey me is ONLY an anime based on an Otome game where Mc is gender neutral. I hope that romantic anime with a gender-neutral protagonist will become more common.
Thank you for taking the time to participate in the discussion and writing this really long post. I wish you a good day/evening.

Ok, be warned, you did ask
Consider the fact that Astraea is a land of magic. Extend it to general fantasy. What is a popular creature in fantasy? DRAGONS. MC LEARNS THAT DRAGONS ARE REAL AND GOES ON A QUEST TO TAME ONE (if they aren't already used as some method of transport (akin to horses) (idk about fully domesticated dragons tho, I feel like feral/wild dragons are a given here but then again it seems like Astraea could potentially have domesticated ones))
Sage: MC you don't know what you're getting yourself into.
MC: I read the how to train your dragon book series. I'm practically an expert.
While funky /pos as a concept, I find it even better to think about it worldbuilding wise as this opens up a very exciting idea, exploration, and how it affects the developments of civilizations (along with various other choices to talk about but I'll get there lol).
We earthbeings were grounded for a significant portion of our existence and only started flying a little more than a century ago which is small in the amount of time that humanity has existed (for this I'm specifying builders (stone wall in Theopatra cave, about 23000 years ago, humanity has been around for a while and even then there could be older structures)). Anyway my point with that was flight is a highly new concept in human history, it potentially wouldn't be with dragons in the mix.
The existence of dragons also opens up ideas for social structures, conflict, and statuses. Not to mention professions and how people interact with this species (and making those species omfgggg my writer brain and inner child are having a field day (seriously there is so much fun to have with this concept :D)).
There's also fun cultural stuff that one can play with. Religion, fashion, art, etc.
Dragons in hunter gatherer and neolithic societies would be especially useful for tools and war. Clothing out of hides, armor out of scales, weapons made of the strong and sharp materials, would maps be easier to make?
Imagine a social/political conflict. Let's say the American civil war, now imagine how that would go if they had dragons. Everything has a trade. But I digress, warfare in this case is quite the interesting idea. At least in the socioeconomic state of the current time in the game the warfare status is easy, swords, magic, maybe a battle-axe if we're feeling particularly lethal. However if we were to go centuries into the future, would their technology be like ours?
Could dragons have access to magic? What could one do with their body parts? Are dragons more valuable alive or dead? (I'm answering this question, alive for sure but then that answer also depends on the profession of the person being asked). What kinds of technological advancements could be made with those parts? (I could very easily go off into a tangent but thankfully I won't)
Unfortunately there are fallacies to my headcanons. Dragons would be presumably large, and if were in fact part of civilization, Porrima, Rivath, Mournfall, and other populated areas are lacking in such a resource. At least from what has been given to us by the game. We don't even have mention of dragons.
But fortunately that doesn't mean that we can't make up our own worldbuilding ideas and hopefully you enjoyed reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. :3
Ooh this is a lot of interesting ideas! I like how you tied in real-world concepts and conflicts. It helps ground everything in reality (or as much reality as you can get when talking about dragons and magic).
The only canon reference we have to dragons (as far as I remember) is in Sage's route, Chapter 2, during the Two Truths and a Lie game (star choice). MC says they slayed a dragon and Sage says that's a lie because they 'would be burnt to a crisp' if they'd tried. Which is. Uh. Not a lot to go off of. But that does tell us dragons are canon and they probably are not domesticated, at least not widely. Everyone has a different canon, though, so I guess that's besides the point.
I'm fascinated by the way that dragons - specifically domesticated ones - could have shaped various societies. It makes me think of the movie April and the Extraordinary World (2015). It takes place in a world where electricity was never discovered (kinda - it's hard to explain because it takes a sci-fi turn into Lizard People and stuff) so coal and steam engines still rule the planet. As the world's population completely stripped the Earth of trees and subsequently polluted the air to the point where people carried around gas masks. Obviously the world's political powers shifted. It's a French movie so the focus is Paris but it gives you an idea of the rest of the world. It's a good movie and I recommend it. Maybe it'll even give you some more ideas?
I loved reading your thoughts!/gen Thanks for sharing. It's always really fun to see what you guys come up with, and there's something heartening about so many people still loving LL enough to think about it like this.
Idk. I kinda wanna write about dragons now. If we can have cat/rabbit/bull/deer/etc. ilephtas then presumably we can have dragon ilephtas too. That could be fun.
