🌼 dating cara ward...
Tumblr media
☾ ⋆*·゚:⋆*·゚:⠀ *⋆.*:·゚ .: ⋆*·゚: .⋆
⋆*·゚ Cara loves to softly play with your hair while you’re relaxing and watching some show on her bed after school.
⋆*·゚ Cara often writes songs about you but will deny this, even if her blush betrays her.
⋆*·゚ Cara's often tucked on your bed singing covers of her favourite songs or practising new chords serving as a soft and welcome background noise as you're studying at your desk.
⋆*·゚ Do not be surprised to see her appearing on your doorstep at the most random times to take you on drives (or when she’s craving food). Then casually dropping the fact she made a playlist for you and pressing play, turning to you with the widest grin. She looks so carefree while singing along as her fingers drum against the steering wheel, and you love it.
⋆*·゚ Cara always has a KitKat or two on standby in her bag and will slide it up to you with a cheeky but adorable grin when she can sense you’re feeling off.
⋆*·゚ Naomi loves you for how soft and safe you make her little sister feel. Cara used humour to cope, but in the safety of her home, she lost all of her spark and turned quiet and distant. After meeting you, Naomi often catches Cara humming random songs around the house or dancing in her room while blasting music. Even if this interrupts Naomi from studying, she doesn't have the heart to tell her off. She's too grateful that she got her sister back.
⋆*·゚ Pip was very stand-offish with you at first. Cara is practically a sister to her who had already gone through hell and back, so she needed to make sure she could trust you with Cara's heart and overall well-being. Pip knows that when a person makes Cara feel safe and happy, the girl is quick to attach. It's an adorable golden retriever trait of hers, but Pip just didn't want it to go wrong.
⋆*·゚ When Pip realised you were serious about her friend, she let go of her grumpy pretences and welcomed you into her own life, as well.
⋆*·゚ Cara has extremely clingy moods and is so touch-starved in the most adorable way. It was a thing that started to appear after her mother passed away, whose presence and comfort she missed. She always needs to be playing with your fingers, have your hand in her lap to hold, reach out to hook your pinky while walking (and then swaying your arms), an arm around your waist, rest her head against your shoulder etc.
⋆*·゚ She often sneaks up to you and plants a big playful smooch on your cheek while being all smiley, then walks off again all obliviously as if she hasn't just made your heart explode.
⋆*·゚ Cara had a phase where she fell in love with those rollerskating TikToks and she desperately wanted to try her hand at it. She bought secondhand rollerskates for the both of you to practice. Refused to wear the safety gear and helmet you got her (since she said she forgot to buy those) because she didn't want to look silly. Only for her to then look the silliest with two scraped knees the next day at school. She quickly kissed the 'i told you so' off your face before you could say it after pulling her up. Still, she will often say it was one of the best non-dates she ever had with you. She laughed so hard that her belly ached the entire time.
⋆*·゚ Cara is that one friend in the friend group who takes pictures of everyone, so she loves taking candid photos of you. She has an entire album dedicated to the two of you on her phone to look at during dark days, or when she wakes up in the middle of the night after a nightmare and she sees you're still fast asleep on her screen, unable to talk to her.
⋆*·゚ Having said that, now that Pip is so busy, you take over Pip's initiative when it comes to lulling Cara to sleep with deep talks and watching shows. Sleepy Cara is the most adorable. From the way her eyelids start to droop to how soft she gets. Well, she will also try to deny she's falling asleep even when she's getting quieter and quieter.
⋆*·゚ You visit her workplace regularly and always at the same time. It's become quite a routine, so now Cara already has your order ready for you the second she hears the bell chime. This also includes Cara getting told off by her boss because she's chatting to you a lot and might have burned a thing or two because of it, especially when multitasking was hard in the beginning.
⋆*·゚ Cara is the absolute cutest in her apron with her messy bun and with a towel over her shoulder, a pout on her lips each time she ferociously wipes down the tables and then smiles brightly as she catches your gaze.
⋆*·゚ And... since you have a favourite table, there will often be a napkin waiting for you with a cute message written down. Some silly ones too, since Cara loves dad jokes and using the worst pickup lines just to see you roll your eyes or laugh at the stupidity of it all.
⋆*·゚ Cara has a backpack she's been using since she was twelve that's so worn but she's too attached to it now. She has a few pins and buttons on them and a fair few on there were a gift from you.
⋆*·゚ Her room is the safest place she knows. It's sacred to her. It's where she can let down her guard and stop the pretending... and shield herself from all the shit she's been through. So you see it as an honour that you're one of the few who she lets inside, figuratively and literally.
⋆*·゚ You often lazily braid Cara's hair during sleepovers, knowing how much it calms her down. Don't be surprised when she falls asleep, though. She loves how the soft tugging and playing with her hair and your fingers scraping her scalp lulls her to sleep.
⋆*·゚ Talking about that, the girl falls asleep in the most uncomfortable positions, but somehow she always ends up safely tucking herself into the covers all snugly sometime during the night. The sight never fails to warm your heart. It also breaks it, because she looks so vulnerable and it reminds you of the little Cara you've seen in photo albums shown to you by her grandparents. You hate how this current Cara, who's looking all innocent while asleep but has been through so much, will always carry a traumatic past of loss and betrayal with her. Something she never deserved.
⋆*·゚ She's home in your arms and she knows how safe she's in them, so it's her favourite place after a hard day, or any day for that matter. She's also fond of being the big spoon because she can lock you in her soft embrace, making sure nothing will happen to the two of you. Will throw a pillow at Naomi if she comes to disturb you from your bubble to tell you dinner's ready, after she got radiosilence the first time around.
⋆*·゚ Cara's always pulling you onto your lap and then tucks her chin on your shoulder as she continues her conversation with her friends. It's such a small but such a grande gesture to you all the same. You love it.
⋆*·゚ She's... not the best driver. But in your defence, she just needs a little more experience. Stalls often or takes sharp turns and bumps the occasional curb, then laughs her own mistakes away. That's exactly why you love her so... because she always tries to turn each negative into a positive.
⋆*·゚⋆*·゚⋆*·゚⋆*·゚⋆*·゚⋆*·゚
some of cara's song recs:

Rewrite of one of my favorite few pages including Stanley in Ggbb💖 (To clarify this isn't all my original work, this is a page I'm copying from the book and including parts in) ⚠️Spoilers warning⚠️
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
"Is Stanley Forbes in?" asked Pip. "He should be." The woman finally located the correct key and slit it into the lock. "We've got the write-up of the memorial to sort out before we print today, so Stanley asked me to come in and help." She opened the door. "After you." She said, and Pip stepped over the threshold into the small front room.
"I'm pip." she said, following the woman as they passed two tired sofas and headed for the back office. "Yes, I know who you are," the woman said, shrugging off her jacket. And then, in a slightly less frosty tone: "I'm Mary, Mary Scythe." "Pleased to meet you, again." Pip said, which wasn't exactly true. She figured Mary was one of those people who blamed Pip for all "The Trouble" last year in their nice, quaint town. Mary pushed the door, revealing a small, square room, four computer desks lining its walls, as tight and claustrophobic as Pip remembered it. Guess that's what you got for a tiny town newspaper that ran mostly on donations from the family living in that mansion up Beecher Road.
Stanley Forbes was sitting at the desk against the far wall, his back to them, his dark brown hair in unkempt clumps, presumably from where his finders had tunneled through. He paid them no attention, leaning towards his desktop screen, which, judging by rhea white-and-dark-blue stripes, was on Facebook.
"Hi Stanley," Pip said softly. He didn't turn. In fact, he hadn't moved at all, still scrolling down the page. He hadn't heard her. "Stanley?" she tried again. Nothing, not even a flinch. He wasn't wearing headphones, was he? She couldn't see any. "Honestly," Mary scoffed, "he does this all the time. Has the most selective hearing I've ever come across. Tunes the whole world out. I have no idea how (y/n) likes him or can even stand to be around him as much as they are. Hey Stan!" She barked that last part, and finally Stanley looked up, spinning in his chair to face them. "Oh sorry, were you talking to me?" he said, his green-brown eyes jumping from Mary to settle on Pip, head perking up at the mention of that name.
"No one else in the room," Mary said irritably. "Wait (y/n) likes me?" Stanley said swinging from side to side in his chair with a coy smile on his face watching Mary as she walked away dropping her handbag against the desk farthest from Stanley's. "Hi," Pip said again, walking over to him, crossing the distance in just four large steps.
"H-hello," Stanley said, getting to his feet. He held out his hand apparently to shake hers, but then evidently changed his mind and drew it back, then changed his mind again and re-extended the hand with an embarrassed laugh leaving Mary holding back a laugh across the room wondering if this is how he flirted with (y/n). He probably didn't know how the appropriate way to greet Pip, given their fraught history and her being eighteen while he was at least in his late twenties.
"Sorry," Stanley said, returning the awkward hand to his side. It wasn't just the Singhs he'd apologized to; Pip had also received a letter from Stanley a few months ago. In other he'd apologized for the way he'd talked down to her and for Becca Bell taking Pip's number from his phone and using it to threaton Pip. He hadn't known at the time, but he was still sorry. Pip wondered how sincere he really was. "What can I...," Stanley began. "What do you-"
"I know the memorial will probably take up a lot of room in tomorrow's paper. But could you make space for this? I'm trying to spread the word to everyone in town." Pip dropped her backpack so she could take out the reserved Missing poster. She handed it over, watching Stanley read, his eyes furrowed and a hollow burrowing into his cheek as he chewed it from the inside. "Missing is he?" He looked down again. "Jamie Reynolds."
"Know him?"
"Don't think so," Stanley said. "Might recognize the face. Is he from Fairview?" "Yep. Family live on Cedar Way. Jamie went to Fairview high, with Andie and Sal."
"Missing since when?" he asked. "It says there." Pip's voice rose impatiently. Mary's chair creaked as she leaned closer to listen in, interested in the different than normal (y/n) rambling topic. "Last seen around eight o'clock at the memorial, until I learn more about his movements. I saw you taking photos, could you email those to me?" "Er, yes OK. Police?" asked Stanley. "A missing persons report has been filed," Pip replied "Polive response is nonexistent right now. So it's just me. That's why I need your help." She smiles, pretending like she didn't resent having to ask.
"Missing since the memorial?" Stanley thought oloud. "That's only, like, a day and a half, right? "Thirty-seven and a half hours," Pip said. "That's not very long, is it?" He lowered the poster. "Missing is nissing" she countered. "And the first seventy-two hours are critical, especially if you suspect foul play." "Do you?" "Yes," she said. "The family does too. So will you help? Can you print that notice tomarrow?" Stanley looked up for a moment, eyes spooling as he considered it. "Suppose I can move the article about potholes until next week." "Is that a yes?" Pip said. "Yes I'll make sure it goes in." He nodded, tapping the poster. "Though I'm sure he'll turn up OK." "Thank you, Stanley." She returned his polite smile. "I really appreciate that." She pivoted on her heels ro leave, but Stanley's voice stopped her before she reached the door.
"Mysteries always seem to find their way to you, don't they?"

you collapsed on your bed the moment your knees hit the mattress. burying your face into your pillow, hoping the day just fades away. you arrived home, the house empty due to your parents still working. you were relieved because you truly had no energy to greet anyone - even the trudge up the stairs was a challenge enough.
your day had been rough, to say the least. you'd woken up late, sleeping past your alarms and snoozes. when you'd awoken you had less than twenty minutes to get ready, which meant no time to come up with a cute outfit. you slapped on some jeans, a cropped graphic tee, and jewlery and called it a day. you managed to put on some lipstick and mascara in the school parking lot before you ran to clas.
in the process of running, you also fell and scraped your knee; you didn't even check the wound because you were rushing to avoid the tardy bell. spoiler: your knee was crying in pain.
you were late by a minute, yet your first-period teacher had given you a berating in front of the whole class for it. even though he literally walked in a few seconds before you.
you went toward the back of the class to put your phone in the mandatory basket with everyone else's phone, and that was when you realized you'd left your phone at home. you mentally facepalmed yourself as you remembered you'd left it on your bed when you were hastily putting on your shoes. hopefully, ravi didn't require anything urgent that couldn't wait til you got home.
you later learned, after a random kid pointed it out, that you had a splotch of red on the knee area of your light colored jeans. turned out your skin had scrapped enough to draw blood.
at lunch, pip, the prepared person she was, helped clean your cut with anitbacterial wipes and put a bandage over your knee. cara even tried to get the red stain out, but it was smudged it further around your legs.
cara apologized profusely , but you brushed it off, telling her it didn't look that bad and they were just jeans. however, inside, you were ready to lose your last straw and mourn your favorite jeans. you swore you had the worst luck today.
you repeated it over and over in your head, school's almost over you can do this. but it was certainly not over for your luckless day. the librarian, who already hated you, dress coded you for your shirt, and sent you to the office. the principal was ready to call your parents to bring you a shirt, but you quickly said you had friend who'd be abe to give you one.
to be honest, you were even sure if cara or pip had any spare clothes, and to add to your misfortune, they didn't have any spare shirts. you were ready to break down right there and then, but held it off and reassured them it was alright.
you were ready to throw the towel in and call your mom and face her wrath for disrupting her at work when connor entered the conversation saying he had an unused gym shirt. it could've fit like adress on you, but you gratefully took it.
the final bell finally rang, signaling the end of the day. you didn't waste time in packing up and look for your car keys inside your backpack. but being so distracted led you to stumble down the school stairs. you were utterly humiliated and knew multiple people had witnessed the scene. you had no choice but to just get up and walk out.
traffic was horrible on the way home, and multiple angry drivers honking didn't help. when you finally parked into your home's driveway, you leaned your head against the steering wheel and burst into tears. the events of the day weighed on you heavily. suppressing all your emotions all day made everything you were feeling just come crashing down in that moment.
after half an hour, you were calmed down, but your eyes were swollen and your throat was sore. you prayed none of the neighbors witnessed your breakdown, you think you'd start crying again if that were the case.
now, you were in bed, exhausted from your crying, and ready to just sleep whatever hours of the day were left.
the moment you closed your eyes, your phone chimed, letting you know you received a text. you knew it was ravi because you'd set his notification sound to be different. you hadn't spoken with your boyfriend all day since you forgot your phone, so he likely was asking why you didn't send him your daily random school photo. but you were just too tired to pick it up and type of reply. you told yourself you'd take a fifteen-minute nap, then call him.
your slumber was disrupted when a force was shaking your body back and forth, the repeated call of your name in the distance. you were still somewhat mentally in your dream state, so you weren't quick to respond.
"y/n!"
"babe."
"light of my life."
"my little honey butter biscuit."
"huh?"
your sleepiness was starting to fade away, and you were able to deliver a somewhat coherent response. you had to blink a few times to focus your vision on the face before you. it took you a moment to process ravi in your vision, kneeling in front of the side of the bed where your head lays. "ravi? what are you doing here?"
you yawn as you sit up on your bed and stretch out your spine, turning to face ravi. you rubbed your eyes a bit to keep them from drooping. ravi then immediately engulfed you into his arms, pushing you back onto the bed.
you were thrown aback by the gesture, but you would never object a hug from your boyfriend, especially given the day you had.
ravi pulled away, sitting down next to you on the bed. "oh my god, i thought something happened. you hadn't answered any of my texts and any time i called you, it went straight to voicemail." ravi anxiously explained, holding your face in both his hands.
"i'm sorry," you gave an apologetic peck to his lips, "i was gonna text you when i woke up from my quick nap after school." you went to grab your phone from the corner of your bed. you clicked the power button a few times, but it wouldn't turn on. your phone was dead, the reason why your alarm didn't go off and ravi's calls weren't going through. the world had to be playing a prank on you at this point.
"quick nap?" ravi furrowed his brows, "it's already 7 pm."
"what?" you exclaimed, wide-eyed. how could it already be so late? you were going to take a half-hour nap to recover your energy. you still had homework and chores to do before your parents got home. you went MIA almost the whole day, likely why ravi was so worried and came into your house. with all the murderous events this town has faced, you felt guilty for having him alarmed. horrible girlfriend award goes to you.
automatically, your face made its way into your hands from guilt and frustration of every going wrong today. you sighed heavily, holding back tears threatening to fall. even though you had a full crying session before coming in the house, you still had tears left to shed. you were trying very hard to not cry in front of ravi.
ravi reached out toward you, putting a hand on your back and a hand on your knee, “baby, what’s wrong?” he voiced with concern.
"it's nothing," you responded in a cracked voice, suppressing all your emotions. a blatant lie, that didn't even convince you, and one ravi could see through.
"c'mon, it's obviously something if it has my girlfriend so upset about it. let me see your pretty face." ravi grabs your wrists and pulls them apart to uncover your sullen face. not having the energy to resist, you opted to face your head down to your lap and have your hair cover most of your face.
“dont hide from me baby.” he whispers to you. he parts your hair behind your ears and sees your face and then moves his hand to your chin, making you look up to him with watery eyes. “now, tell me what happened. or i’m gonna just stare at your really hard until you do.” he says the last part playfully, but you wouldn’t put it past him to actually do it.
looking into your boyfriend’s eyes was enough to spill your guts. and his genuine concern for you only made you love him impossibly more. you knew it was safe to cry your eyes out around him, so finally, you let your emotions through.
you choked up for a moment trying to get a word in, but all you could do was start with a miserable sob. you go to cover your mouth with your hands to reel some of it in, but hot tears are already coming down from your eyes.
immediately, ravi pulls you into his embrace, and onto his lap - your face now smushed into his chest. tears likely staining his graphic tee, but he didn’t seem to care. he rubs a hand soothingly along your back, cooing and shushing you in attempt to help calm you down. all you could do your hold onto him tight for comfort in your troubles.
it took you a few minutes before your cries were getting dulled and you were able to breathe steadily. ravi just held you the whole time, patiently waiting for you to settle, so you can recite to him the issue.
you sniffled and moved your head away from his chest, ready to finally have a proper conversation without interruption by your hiccuped breaths. ravi began wiping any wetness from your face with his hand, then removing hair from your eyes and putting it behind your ears. “do you feel better now?”
you nodded, taking a deep breathe to further calm yourself. he gives you a small smile then plants a quick kiss on your lips. “good, now tell me what has my girl all down in the dumps.”
you crack a smile at his corny phrases, slightly feeling better. you began to recount all of the day's incidents, starting from waking up late and ending with your hysteria in your driveway. all through it, ravi held you close, rubbing small circles on the side of your thigh in a calming manner.
“so that was my shitty day pretty much. it all sounds kind of stupid now that i say it out loud to someone. sorry for worrying you over dumb stuff like this.”
“hey, anything that makes you upset is reason enough for me to start worrying.” ravi’s hand trails toward the area of your knee still stained with some of your blood, “you know what, i’m boycotting stairs. i refuse to associate with anything that harms my girlfriend.” he responds in faux seriousness. you can’t help but laugh at his behavior and playfully slap his chest lightly.
“thank you. for being the best boyfriend ever,” you say with sincerity. only ravi was the type of person who could make you laugh after bawling your eyes out.
“well, i am quite ravi-singh-ing aren’t i?” ravi cockily boasts. he flips his wrist, flipping over imaginary hair dramatically.
you rolled you eyes, “oh god, are you ever going to let that go?” you one time joked his name looked like the word ravishing when he had written it down. ever since then, he loved to constantly bring it up to boost his ego.
“never. it never gets old. and you know what your amazing boyfriend proposes?” you wait for him to continue, “a movie to remedy your shitty day.”
you pretend to think about it for a moment, “okay, but i choose.”
ravi's mouth goes agape, “what! it was my idea.” he protests.
“yeah, but it’s my crappy day.” you counter back.
he narrows his eyes at you, and you give your best pleading pout, “fine, i suppose it's lady's choice tonight," he relents. "you should be ever so lucky to have such a gentleman as a boyfriend.” he adds in an overdone proper tone.
“yup. i’m just the luckiest girl.” and you meant it.
"now," ravi manured his way out of your bed and stood up. he proceeds to carry your bridal style, being careful of your knee, "let's fix up your little injury."
"babe, i can walk; my leg isn't broken." despite your small protest, you move to wrap your arms around his neck for stability.
ravi, with you in his arms, walks out of your room and toward your upstairs bathroom. "excuse me for being chivalrous." he states defensively, "you should be fawning over me with heart eyes at this moment." he says a matter of factly.
you give another eye-roll to his antics, "your right my bad, let me try again." you clear your throat for effect, "on my god, ravi, you're so dashing and charming, and your good looks just stun me." you exclaim with melodramatic affection.
ravi sets you down on the gray granite counter of your bathroom next to the sink. he looks at you with a crooked smile, "that's more like it. you just forgot to mention how you dream of me at night, but it's alright - i've sleep next to you enough nights to know how much you say my name in your sleep." he winks at you with he last bit of his sentence.
you lightly hit his chest, "are you gonna continue to admire yourself or put a bandaid on me so we can watch a movie?"
"while, i'd love to do the former, i'll go with the latter. actually," he pauses, and starts digging through his pockets in search for something, "aha! here, this should make your frown turn upside down." cue another eye roll for his corny humor. he opens his palm toward you to reveal a bandaid, a hello-kitty one.
you take it with a cheerful smile, "thank you, but why do you have this?" you look up at question him.
"you mean why do i carry bandaids for my accident-prone girl?" he rhetorically counters, while kneeling down in front of your bruised knee. "i just figured if you're hurt you can at least look cute being injured."
you can't help but smile at him lovingly as he replaced your dried bloody band-aid with the pink hello kitty one. to finish off, he places a quick kiss on it. "there, all better."
yeah, it was all better now.
-
"hunger games? again?" ravi questions exasperatedly. you two were currently settled under your bed sheets, facing your television. ravi is sat up with your head settled on his chest and his arm wrapped around your shoulders.
the netflix app was open, and the two of you were in the process of deciding on a film. well, you were picking, and ravi kept adding in his own personal opinion that prompted you that annoyed you enough to not choose a movie. netflix recently added the hunger games movies, and you couldn't help but want to watch it - no matter how many times you'd seen it with ravi already.
is having a movie about children dying and killing each other and government control as a comfort movie a red flag? maybe.
"are you judging me, your girlfriend, right now?" you challenge with an arched brow.
ravi holds a hand to his heart, "no, no, of course not. if my girl tells me to do something, then my only option is to obey," he replies mockingly.
you nod in approval, "exactly. glad you get it." you pat the top of his head as if he were a dog who just learned a new trick.
he mimics you and then tickles your side, causing you to jolt in your spot. "shush it, and put the movie on." you give him a glare but move to grab the remote next to you, pressing play to start the film.
as the movie began and went through, the two of you commented on scenes as they came on the tv.
"if we were tributes from the same district, would you kill me?"
"most likely." you say nonchalantly.
you scoff, "gale gets more annoying the more i watch this."
"i would kill for ceasar flickerman's job." ravi expressed.
"i just know you would've fallen off that tree on your own."
"ow!- ok sorry."
after a good three-fourths of the film, your eyes get heavier. yet, you try to remain awake and respond to whatever ravi was saying. but you decide to close your eyes for a moment, claiming you'd open them again when ravi says something. however, that never came to be because you were out like a light, the noise of violence and yelling from the screen lulling you to slumber.
"okay, this is a good movie, but i refuse to watch the sequel after this too." ravi frowns when you don't respond. "baby, i was just kidding, don't give me the silent treatment." he looks down at your body, then takes notice of your closed eyes and steady breathes.
he laughs, "of course, you fell asleep, not even surprised." he leans his head down and plants a kiss on the crown of your head. he whispers to your ear, "good night. hopefully, you have a better day tomorrow, and if not, i'll always be here to cheer you up."

“Ugh!” I throw my pencil onto Ravi’s desk in frustration, resting my chin on both my fists and my elbows sit dejectedly on the wood. “Who the hell decided inventing maths was a good plan?”
Ravi, who finished his homework an hour ago, is sprawled on his bed reading a comic book.
“Dunno,” he answers, not really listening. “Just quit already.”
I roll my eyes. “I can’t just stop doing my homework because it’s difficult. That’s stupid.”
“You’re stupid,” he teases.
I ignore him. “You could always let me finish this in peace and stop bothering me; if you hadn’t been so annoying earlier I’d be done by now.”
“That’s not true. You always take forever to finish your homework.” I hear Ravi slap his comic shut. He walks over to me, slinging his arms over my shoulders. “Please come hang out with me,” he almost whines in my ear.
“I can’t!” I insist, though I would much rather watch tv with Ravi than do algebra right now.
“Please, sweetheart,” he begs. “I haven’t seen you in ages.”
“I was here yesterday.”
“That’s ages.” Ravi spins my, his, chair around, and kneels in between my legs, his forearms resting on my thighs. His brown eyes stare up at me pleadingly.
It’s hard to resist his puppy dog eyes. Especially when I’m tired and sick of homework and all I want is to cuddle in his arms and watch our favourite show together. We’re falling behind on the episodes.
“I’ll give you as many kisses as you want?” Ravi says. “Or else none at all until tomorrow. Just come and let me hold you.”
My stomach swirls a little at his words. No matter how many times Ravi says something adorable like that, I still act like a lovesick idiot. I might be his girlfriend, but I have the biggest crush on Ravi Singh.
I sigh, long and loud for dramatic effect. “Fine.”
“Yes!” Ravi cheers and gives me a high five. He drags me onto his bed and into his arms, and honestly? I couldn’t care less about my algebra homework right now.

I see your requests are open! Would you write a ravi x reader? theres almost nothing for him lol
Baking together
Ravi Singh x fem! reader
a/n: Thank you for your request. This is my first time writing, so excuse me if it's not super good or if you think it's a bit awkward. It's short because I wrote it quickly. And thanks for being understanding while I wrote this.
Tumblr media
The sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm glow over the countertops. While Ravi and I stood in the middle of the kitchen to dove into our culinary adventure, which wasn’t going to turn out well given our skills of course.
Ravi glanced at the recipe card and then back at me, a mischievous grin playing on his lips. "Ready to turn this kitchen into a battlefield of flavors?" he quipped, a twinkle in his eyes.
I chuckled, dipping my fingers into the bag of flour and sending a cloud of it into the air. "Oh, you're on! But just remember, the messier it gets, the better the result."
Flour dusted our aprons, our cheeks, and somehow, even our hair. As we mixed ingredients with both precision and a splash of spontaneity, laughter filled the air. The scent of vanilla and the warmth of cinnamon swirled around us, creating an intoxicating aroma that felt like a comforting hug.
Ravi's fingers brushed against mine as we reached for the same sugar container and shared a playful glance. "I think we might need an official referee for this baking duel," he teased, his voice a melodious rhythm in the room.
I picked up an egg and pretended to examine it like a precious jewel. "Referee, you say? Should I make a call to the baking association?"
He feigned shock. "You'd dare challenge my secret weapon—the unbeatable whisk technique?"
As we bantered, the ingredients slowly transformed into a cohesive mixture under our hands. The batter formed, smooth and tantalizing, promising a treat beyond our imagination. Ravi reached for a dollop of it and extended his flour-dusted finger toward me. "Taste test?"
I accepted the challenge, taking his finger into my mouth and savoring the sweetness. Our eyes locked, and amidst the mess and flour-covered chaos, a soft tenderness emerged in that shared moment.
Ravi leaned in closer, his voice softer now. "You know, I've heard that kisses are the best way to seal a baking alliance."
My heart fluttered as I wiped a streak of flour from his nose. "Is that so? Well, I wouldn't want to defy tradition."
Our laughter faded into a hushed pause. The kitchen, once bustling with playfulness, seemed to hold its breath. And then, with the scent of baking surrounding us like a sweet promise, our lips met in a kiss that was both tender and full of promise—much like the batter we had mixed with laughter and shared glances.

“I’ll always find you” Part One
Tumblr media
Fandom: A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder Pairings: Ravi x Reader, implied Pip x Connor Warnings: Kidnapping, jealousy, neglectance, sad Ravi, sad Pip (I’m sorry, I love her too), angst. Summary: Set in the first book, but Pip is not the only one receiving warnings. Ravi ignores it until he loses his girlfriend who he had neglected to prove Sal’s innocence.
[Also I was listening to ’Fat Funny Friend’ by Maddie Zahm, ‘No body, no crime’ by Taylor Swift and ‘Apocalypse’ by Cigarettes after … on repeat while writing this] … ‘I’m sorry but I can’t make it today’, the text said. He was still typing something else but Y/N didn’t want to see his excuse this time.
She was sitting at a local cafe that wasn’t far from either of their houses. She had waited an hour for him and that text was all she got. She wasn’t mad. He missed his brother and genuinely believed his brother was innocent and Pip did too.
Pip was smart, pretty and kind. If she hadn’t showed up on his doorstep, he wouldn’t be his old happy and hopeful self. Y/N just couldn’t help but wonder if he would miss her if she left him or would he be okay with Pip.
She got up and picked up her bags then walked to wait on the pavement for a taxi. She turned to look at the table that she waited for Ravi at. An elderly couple had occupied it. They were reading the menu while holding hands. Y/N noticed that when smiled she squeezed the man’s, Y/N couldn’t help but smiling herself.
A taxi stopped for her and she got in, though a bit upset that she couldn’t continue watching the couple.
“Where to?” the driver asked.
She gave him her address, it didn’t even matter to her that she got home safely.
Y/N opened her door to see Becca Bell and her brother. She had forgotten that Becca was babysitting.
“Hi Bee,” she said as she placed her bags on the counter.
“Hey N/N,” Becca removed Y/N’s bags from the counter. “How was it?”
Becca never minded that Y/N was dating the brother of her sister’s murderer, but it always brought discomfort to Y/N to talk about Ravi.
“The usual.”
“Thought so,” she said as she brought some tea over to Y/N. Y/N took it gratefully.
“Talk to me,” Becca said as she held Y/N’s brother in her arms.
“There’s not much to say other than I waited an hour and he didn’t show,” Y/N felt as though she was suffocating. Her throat was compressing and her eyesight had blurred.
“You okay?” Becca asked. Y/N didn’t want to worry her. She got up and said, “Yeah, just tired so I’ll just turn in for the night.”
As she walked towards the stairs, she couldn’t make it. Her legs gave up and she collapsed by the first step.
It was dark, really dark. She wasn’t in her bed because she was sitting and something was digging into her hands and legs.
She tried to move her hand to check what was causing the digging but she couldn’t move her hand but she couldn’t. She tried to scream but that didn’t work either.
She didn’t know what else to do. She was tied down, her mouth was taped shut and tears were threatening to fall.
She must’ve cried herself to sleep because she awoke to sirens, and red and blue lights.
The door broke open but she couldn’t see anything due to multiple flashes in her eyes.
“We found her!”
“We found Y/N L/N!”
Her limbs were freed from the binds, and she could hear herself breathing and sighing in relief.
A coat was draped over her shoulders and an officer had walked her out to wait for an ambulance.
Not too long after, her mother came running to engulf her in a hug. Her mother let go of her to look at her. Her hands were on both sides of Y/N’s cheeks and Y/N couldn’t help but cry as well.

pairing - arthur leclerc x reader!reader
summary - reader loves books and reading, when Arthur and reader get together, it’s like she has the dream book boyfriend
a/n - I need book recommendations; here’s mine, the ENTIRE agggtm series
★ ☆ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
“Wes Bennet,”
“Who?”
“You know the main male lead from Better Than The Movies.” Y/n’s hand grazes Arthur’s and he gives her a confused look. “You know, the guy Liz falls in love with instead of Michael Young. We’re kind of like them,”
“But enemies to lovers isn’t our trope,” Arthur makes a face and Y/n immediately grins.
”Ha! I knew you remember,” She kisses his cheek and gently slides off the side of the bed, walking towards her stack of books.
Arthur stare at her as she hummed while carefully putting her books back into the middle shelf and taking one out from a higher shelf. She smiles, her eyes glistening in the sunlight, as she talks back towards him with her book in her arms.
She gets into bed and pulls the blankets over herself, curling up against the wall. Arthur is on the other side with his computer on his lap and coffee sitting on the nightstand beside him.
“You know I’ve read so many books and have basically been with so many guys through fiction, and you’re not like any of them. You’re like my own book boyfriend. Only better and real and mine.” She whispers as she leans forward.
Arthur smiles a little and he leans in closer. The two look into each other’s eyes before closing them, grazing each other’s lips and finally fully closing the gap.
“Which of your book boyfriends am I most like?” He caresses her jaw and she leans into his shoulder.
“None, baby, none. You’re in a league of your own.”

you are in love - [r.singh]
Tumblr media
0.9 wordcount
warnings: none
requested: yes! @ravisinghxmee
If you had told me that my sister going on yet another first date would bring me to my love, I would have laughed at you, and rolled my eyes, and decided right then and there that you were wrong.
Turns out though, you would’ve been right.
“Hey Anvi!” I shout down the stairs. “Where’re you going off to?”
My sister shoots daggers as me as our parents step into the walkway. “Anvi?” our mother questions. “Where are you going to?”
Anvi sighs. “I’m going on a date,” she says slowly, gauging their reaction.
I widen my eyes. “Is he hot?” I ask. Anvi catches my eyes, grins, and gives me a nod.
“Can I please go?” she begs our parents. They exchange a look that I’m sure is full of meaning, but I don’t know what that meaning is. I’ve never been great at reading people by their expressions.
“Yes, Vi,” our mother relents a little. “You may go. But be safe, yes?”
Anvi nods hastily and smiles. “Thank you, Mumma! Papa!” She runs out the door, leaving it banging behind her.
I slump against the rail of the staircase, and let out a sigh. I might be only a year younger than my sister, but so far have had absolutely nothing in the way of boys and dates, unlike her.
I don’t know if it’s just me, or if I’m just not supposed to yet. Maybe the right ‘one’ is out there somewhere, and I just have to be patient. Ugh. That’s such a load of nonsense. I’m just trying to convince myself.
“Guys?”
It’s Anvi’s voice, echoing a little through the long walkway. “I am home!”
I get up from the kitchen table, to my mother’s protest, and hurry to the front door. Anvi stands next to a tall, handsome boy with bright eyes.
“This is Sal,” my sister says shyly, giving the boy a sweet smile.
Sal nods his head at us, smiling kindly. “Hello. It’s lovely to meet you all.” He reaches for Anvi’s hand. “I thought it best to walk your daughter home, sir,” he tells our father. “And my mother requested that I invite you all to dinner tomorrow night.”
My mother looks pleased. “We would love to, Sal.”
The boy gives my sister another smile, squeezes her hand, and is gone.
That night, I sit cross legged on our bed as I watch Anvi get dressed. “What was he like?” I ask, bouncing a little on the mattress. “Where did he take you?”
Anvi hasn’t stopped smiling since the date. “It was incredible. He was incredible. He took me to the aquarium.”
My nose wrinkles. “The aquarium? Anvi, that’s super lame.”
My sister shakes her head. “No, it wasn’t! There was a lobster fight on today, so we went to watch that. It was actually the best first date, like ever.” She sighs happily, and flops onto the bed next to me.
“Oh,” she says, sitting up on her elbows. “And he has a younger brother. He’s your age.”
I roll my eyes and throw my pillow at her. “Goodnight Anvi.”
He is gorgeous. And I don’t mean that in a light way. Sal’s younger brother, Ravi Singh, was beautiful. He has dark, laughing eyes, messy hair that looked like he’d just walked through a whirlwind, and the prettiest smile of just about anyone I knew.
I receive one of those smiles when we’re introduced, and I somehow can’t not return it.
We’re seated side by side at dinner, Anvi and Sal across from us. All throughout the first course, Ravi and I barely speak of anything but small things such as the weather, and school, and what jobs we want after soon is over.
I am not sure how I’ve never noticed Ravi at school before, since we are in the same year and even a few of the same classes. I guess I just wasn’t paying much attention.
Anvi keeps sneaking me teasing glances in between her flirtations with Sal, and I want to kick her under the table and tell her to sod off, but I don’t think it will do any good. Anvi is always making fun of me, but I think she means well.
All in all? Dinner is officially a success in my book.
“So…” Ravi is sitting beside me on the porch swing, one leg resting on the ground, keeping us at a gentle pace.
“So,” I reply, a small smile on my face.
“Tonight was really fun,” he answers, not looking at me, but rather, the lamppost across the street. I watch as a girl with short brown hair and black headphones jogs under the light, then vanishes again into the night.
“Yeah.” I tuck my leg underneath me. “It was.”
“I want to do it again,” Ravi says suddenly, his deep brown eyes meeting my gaze. “I want to get you really know you, y/n.”
A flutter of anticipation swirls inside of me, and all I can do is nod. “I’d love that,” I whisper. “More than anything.”
~ epilogue ~
“Remember how we first met?” Ravi asks, patting our new puppy’s head affectionately as he smiles up at me.
I watch him on the ground with the dog, relaxation resting on my face. My heart does a little skip, skip every time I see Ravi’s smile, and that’s something I don’t think I’ll ever be used to, to be honest.
“Yes,” I say, twirling a finger in Ravi’s hair. “Your brother took my sister to a lobster fight.”
Ravi laughs, stands, and takes both my hands in his. “And you came over for dinner,” he says in a low voice, sending shivers down my back. “And the moment I saw you, my little light, I knew I was hopelessly in love.”
