You almost definitely have ADHD. Like you're 98% sure and have spend hours researching it. All your diagnosed ADHD friends agree that you definitely have it. I desperately need to get checked for adhd, I can't do this anymore ,I don't want to self diagnose but a lot of the things I do and suffer from are adhd symptoms. Of course, I'm scared that I don't have adhd and I'm just fucking stupid and incompetent and I'm also scared that my parents will not take me seriously if I try to ask for help. I don't know what to do. I'm in the most important year of my 'academic career' and I'm struggling more than ever before. I will fail my exams and I just know that I will want to kms. I don't want to feel like this

Shoutout to the “sheltered” teens and young adults (especially girls, ESPECIALLY ND and/or queer) who actually experienced and learned a hell of a lot street smarts wise, socially wise, etc. from school, work, etc. but can’t tell any of that to your parents otherwise they’ll be more high control about your social life than they already are out of safety concerns (even if they don’t realize it or mean to be).
Especially relevant if you still live with them and are still partially or fully dependent on them.
