Ghost - Oscar Piastri x UnknownDriver! Reader Part 5
Plot: Reader is the first female F1 driver of the century, however no-one knows that as you are a ghost on the grid. You started in 2022, coming in P12 in the championship. You get moved to Red Bull Racing in 2023 with the off year for Sergio Perez.
Tumblr media
Over the winter you'd not really done much. You'd spent time with family, and then done a bit of solo travelling in which you ended up bumping into Lando randomly in Finland.
You'd spent a lot of time with Christian and Max and the Red Bull HQ looking at the car for 2024 and whether you'd still be in a rocket ship.
You could tell this year wouldn't be as dominant as Red Bull were last year, you knew the Ferrari and McLaren would be up there fighting for the points.
The start of the season was stressful. Lewis announcing his leave from Mercedes and would be joining Ferrari in 2025 meant that there was a free seat available and Carlos Sainz had no confirmed seat.
There was some heat on you, you'd worried so much that you'd actually gone to Christian's home in pure panic about your seat. You didn't want to have your seat removed like Perez did in 2023.
He'd confirmed that he had no reason to get rid of you and presented you with a contract extension until 2028. The longest Red Bull contract extension in the last few years. 5 years of commitment with a currently best performing team.
You'd be stupid to turn it down.
"Y/N, it's great to have you here with us today. Thank you for joining us, first things first. Congratulations are in order not only for your incredible season last year, but your 5 year extension in the Red Bull Family, how does it feel knowing that you and Max will continue on together now that you both have your contracts running out at the same time?" the interviewer asks.
"Thank you for having me, and thank you for that! 2023 was a great season, not only as a learning experience but for no longer being Ghost. I didn't think 2023 would be the year for a win but with a great team like Red Bull backing me it was sooner rather than later a win would occur even alongside some of the best drivers that are currently on the grid! As far as my contract extension goes, it's a really funny story of how I was offered it!" you start with a little laugh.
"Do tell!" they exclaim looking over you.
"Well, I went to Christians house. I was worried with the Lewis move that my seat would be 'up for grabs' and came to him in a slight panic and yeah he wanted me until 2028 and I think i would have been very silly had I not accepted that proposal" you smile.
"And were there other talks about you switching seats at all?" he asked.
"I mean, there's always talks and whispers. I had Toto reach out to me, I had Mike Krack call me. But the most interesting was Zac Brown's phone call!" you chuckle remembering speaking to the McLaren Team Principle before he'd renewed Lando's contract.
He'd basically said a seat was up for grabs, if Red Bull removed your seat because he thought Oscar and Lando would potentially take that seat. Then Lando extended his contract and Oscar hadn't said anything so he called you again to say that it was just Oscar now which is when you went to Christian as rumours had circled last year about him wanting to have another Max Verstappen in RedBull.
"Care to comment on that conversation with Zac?" he asks you, looking at his notes seeing that he had only asked one question so far as he didn't think he'd get this much from you.
"I don't think I can just because of the nature of the conversation we had, but there was multiple conversations across the board over the winter break between loads of different drivers and team principles because of that one move so I can imagine the start of 2025 and 2026 with those new regulations will be different"
"Yeah that's going to be very interesting, we're all very excited. Obviously with the mention of Zac we're brought onto the Oscar situation, obviously there was a true rivalry that I think went deeper just racing after you revealed yourself as Ghost... has that relationship improved over the winter?" he asks and you actually felt ready to fully speak out on the situation, you felt safe on this podcast and heard.
"Well, I don't like to talk about it to much out of respect for Oscar but recently he's not been very polite in the media. I had to sign an NDA when i signed with RedBull to not reveal anything about my identity until Christian Horner said I could. I could have lost my seat if I'd told Oscar and I'd worked so hard to get where I was. So I upset him, by not being honest with him when I posed as my own PR manager... but I still hold a lot of respect for him and he was at one point one of my closest friends on the grid. I hope this year he's able to just focus on racing on not make childish comments like he did last year" you say seriously knowing it was time that you should really start to speak out on the matter as it was only getting worse with time.
"Thank you for speaking out on this!" the interviewer smiles before asking a few more questions all about racing and your predictions for the 2024 season.
You left and the week later you were catching a flight to Bahrain, you weren't travelling with the team and managed to get a first class seat from London to Bahrain. You were boarding when you saw a familiar face.
"You've got to be shitting me" you said stopped by your chair pod in first class seeing none other than Oscar.
"Huh?" he says fully looking up to see you and hos face turns sour.
"Great, just great!" he sighs turning away from you.
"So fucking childish!" you exclaim putting your bag down under the seat.
"I may be childish but at least I'm not a liar!" he scolds with a frown on his face.
"Oscar, as much as I loved you... i wasn't about to risk a career I'd worked so hard for and can be snatched from me in seconds if someone better performing comes along!" you admit looking over him once before taking your seat and sending the partition that separated you guys from each other and putting a lock in place.
You thanked the air-host when he came round and offered you a drink and an extra blanket for the duration of the flight. He also asked you to take a picture with him which of course you did and you ended up giving him your Red Bull team hat.
Afterwards you had a small nap, waiting for dinner where the partition was pulled down by the airhost.
"Look Y/N..." Oscar tries as his food is placed in front of him.
"I'm trying to enjoy my meal Osc, I wont entertain this" you sighed not looking over at him and continuing to eat the fancy pasta dish in front of you.
"I'm trying to apologize can you stop being so stubborn!" he says with a raised voice making people look towards the pair of you thanks to the disruption.
"Your calling me stubborn when your the one making the apology. All you've done for the past 6 months is chat shit about me Osc, you were my friend and I wanted to tell you for so long, but I couldn't so don't call me stubborn when you've hurt me too!" you cry before pulling the seat separator up just wanting a moment to collect yourself.
After 20 minutes, and some silent crying on your half and plates having been collected, he pulls the separator back down making you look over at him with red puffy eyes.
He opened his arms up with a guilty look on his face. You looked at him a little shocked before nodding and climbing over and laying on top of him in his lap. He wraps his large arms around you and you nuzzle down into his neck, your body shaking against his as you sob. He pulls you tightly against him.
"I know, I know! I'm so sorry" he whispers into your ear holding you and rubbing your back.
"It was so scary Osc, I lost my best friend just as the highest point of my career and life was about to start!" you cry against him, wrapping your own arms around him and clinging to him like a teddy bear.
"I'm so sorry, I was so angry and then i just kept screwing up and I got more and more mad when you didn't retaliate because you are such a good and kind person and I'm not" he says with a few tears of his own.
"I was so scared I lost you. Have a lost you?" you ask looking over at him and he smiles a puffy cheeked smile at you.
"I think i should be the one asking that" he sighs holding you and kissing your forehead.
"Always, you'll always have me Osc" you say nuzzling down further into the crook of the hoodie he was wearing.

Falling (in love) Eddie Munson x fem!reader
summary: eddie is tired of hiding his feelings for you, but when you mention another guy asking you out he gets jealous. you’re mad at eddie until he taps on your window later that night.
warnings: language, mutual pining, bestfriends to lovers, jealous eddie
word count: 1,662
notes: the guy that asks you out is chance, one of the background friends in the basketball scenes! look him up before you read… he is so cute lmao. also i’m really proud of this so i hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
in eddies mind, you were the most beautiful girl to ever walk the face of the planet. he would do anything to show that he loves you… well except tell you.
you have been eddie’s best friend since 7th grade. around freshman year is when eddie first started to realize he liked you much more than just friends. but eddie was too afraid of rejection to ever tell you. i mean why would you want eddie when almost every guy that saw you did a double take? eddie thought you deserved someone better than him.
little did he know that you have been crushing on him since the summer before freshman year. seeing him and his buzz cut at that awkward stage of growing out made your heart flutter. you’ve always tried to flirt with him that summer, but you thought that he didn’t feel the same and he didn’t want to make it awkward so he just ignored it. in reality, eddie was quite oblivious to your flirting that summer.
eddie was getting tired of seeing other guys look at you in the hallway and you smiling back at them. he wanted you to look at him that way. his only solution was to finally express his feelings for you. he found out it’s easier said then done.
“well when i told suzie i liked her she took it very well! it wasn’t awkward at all!” eddie was so desperate for help he went to dustin.
“yeah well suzie is a 14 year old girl and you guys haven’t known eachother SINCE MIDDLE SCHOOL!” dustin did not understand why it was so hard for eddie to just tell you how he felt. it was so obvious that you liked him too!
dustin, lucas, and mike actually thought you two were dating when they first joined hellfire club. they had to ask gareth and jeff if you two were a thing. your guys constant flirting did not go unmisssd by the club.
“listen im like 99% sure she’s in love with you too, so please stop worrying!” dustin tried to reassure the metalhead.
“ok but the one percent! we don’t know for sure!”
“you are the most oblivious man in the world eddie munson.” dustin argued.
-
eddie could not reel his head around the fact that you could possibly have romantic feelings for him. sure you guys were always together, and you let him call you all sorts of names like sweetheart and m’lady, and you guys always went out to the diner on friday evenings, but that’s just what good friends do… right?
eddie was overthinking. he was pacing around his room like a madman thinking about you. so he did what he always did to calm him down. he reached in his bedside drawer and took out the note you gave him sophomore year.
hey dork,
after class do you wanna go eat at the diner? it’s friday and i’m extremely bored
that note started the tradition of going out to eat every friday. eddie felt so silly that he kept that note for so long. you probably didn’t even remember writing it! but still eddie looks at the heart on the bottom of the note, convincing himself that you meant something more.
he kept everything you gave him. whether it be a note you passed him during class, a pen you lent him, or a cd you recommended him. eddie was just so smitten with you. reading the note and looking through his polaroids of you two, calmed his nerves.
his mind was set on confessing to you tomorrow.
-
eddie was not so sure about confessing to you the next day.
“hi eds!” you said climbing into his van.
“hello y/n, how are you this fine morning?” eddie said with a smirk.
“pretty good actually! you’ll never guess who called this morning!”
“who?” eddie said curiously.
“chance! the one from the basketball team.”
eddie’s heart stopped beating for a second. what the hell could he want with you? eddie thought.
“he asked if i wanted to watch a movie with him tonight. and before you say anything i said no. friday’s are strictly reserved for us.”
the color returned to eddie’s face. he felt reassured. you did seem unusually happy about chance though… maybe you felt obligated to be with eddie, like he was a burden? eddie’s insecure thoughts returned.
“how do you even know him?” eddie asked.
“he’s in my chem class. we actually kinda talk sometimes. he’s not as bad as the other basketball freaks…” you said defending chance.
sure chance was cute and all, but he wasn’t eddie. no highschool boy could ever compare to eddie. when sharing about the call to him, he almost seemed… nervous. but when you said that you had declined his date offer he suddenly seemed more relaxed.
“your seriously not defending him y/n, are you? he’s literally bestfriends with jason carver!”
“i know! i know! but trust me he’s not like jason at all.”
“god y/n if you really wanna go out with him that bad just say it, and we don’t have to go to the diner tonight!”
you’ve never seen eddie this mad before. yea sure, chance hung around with a bad crowd, but it’s not like you two were besties, you would have the occasional conversation in class!
“okay now you’re just putting words into my mouth eddie! i never said that. if i wanted to go on a date with him i would’ve. but i’m not. i told him no so i could hang out with you and now you’re mad at me!?” you really liked eddie, but man was he acting like a jerk right now.
eddie sighed, and stayed silent the rest of the drive knowing that if he said anything else he would just make the situation worse. man, did he feel guilty. he let his jealousy out, and now you’re mad at him.
once the car was parked, you got out as fast as you could and slammed the door. rushing to find robin. eddie stayed in the silence of his car for a minute before he got out.
at lunch, the first thing eddie did was try to look for you, because he noticed you weren’t in your usual seat right next to him. but instead you were sat with robin buckley at a table in the corner of the cafeteria.
he did the same thing once the final bell rang, and he saw you get into the back of steve harringtons car with robin in the passenger seat.
eddie, sadly, got into his car and drove to his home. he should be driving you to the diner right now. but no! you have to be such a fucking dick, don’t you! eddie mentally cursed himself.
-
later that evening you sat on your bed listening to a record. i should be at eddie’s trailer right now watching a movie… it was odd how upset eddie had gotten. you had the right to talk to who ever you wanted. it was almost as if he was jealous.
suddenly you heard a tapping noise on your window. you picked up your head and noticed a messy head of brown hair. eddie. you opened your window to let him in.
“hi.” eddie said not making eye contact.
“hey…”
“listen i’m sorry about this morning. i was being a dick, and i had literally no reason to be.” he looked down at you. “does the princess forgive my foolish actions?” you giggled at his words.
“i guess the princess accepts your apology. i just don’t understand why you got so mad eddie.” you said, hoping he’d elaborate on his dumb emotions.
you looked into eddie’s eyes, as he looked into yours. god, you could get lost in his eyes forever.
“it doesn’t matter… it’s dumb.” eddie looked down, fidgeting with his rings. you could tell he was nervous whenever he did that.
“eddie if it got you this upset, then it’s not dumb. you can tell me anything.” you assured him.
“i love you.” he said it so quietly under his breath. you wouldn’t have been able to hear it if you two weren’t standing so close to each other.
oh my god, why did i say that? i couldnt just make up a stupid lie to tell her? now our friendship is ruined. she’s never gonna be able to look me in the eye ag- eddie’s inner monologue was interrupted when he heard you giggle. eddie’s eyes shot back to your face and saw you smiling at him.
“eddie, do you remember the summer before freshman year?” he nodded. “do you remember when we went to the fair, and i held your hand?” he nodded again. “eddie that whole entire summer i was flirting with you like crazy, but you never flirted back. not once! i assumed you didn’t like me. but i’ve loved you ever since.” confessing made you feel lighter. a secret you’ve kept from him for years was finally out in the open.
eddie looked at you with the cutest lovesick smile on his face. it was contagious.
“can i kiss you y/n?” eddie asked.
instead of answering, you leaned your face towards his. you felt a hand rest along your cheek as he pulled you closer to him. your lips met, it felt like all the miscommunication throughout the years was being made up for in this moment. eddie kissed you like his life depended on it, but eventually you both pulled apart.
“well i know it’s late but we better get to the diner before it closes.” eddie said. “but this time i’m making it an official date!” he looked at you with a smile.
“you have no idea how long i’ve wanted to hear those words eddie.”

omg thank you so much for reading! my requests are open so feel free to leave one!! xoxo

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dustin had enough of this shit.
He had been bummed that Steve graduated from Hawkins high the year before Dustin entered the ninth grade. Having Steve there would have been a buffer for Dustin, who - although he rarely admitted it - actually didn’t like being unpopular. As much as he hated being the victim of bullying, he hated the thought of changing himself even more - which is why he refused to.
He showed up to his first day of high school in his Weird Al shirt, because he would be damned to give an inaccurate impression of himself. He knew that after graduation, he’d turn out better than all the other assholes at the school anyway. He was smarter than them, he was better than them. He could get through four years of their bullshit until he proved that.
Although…Having Steve around would have made it a lot easier.
But, whatever. Steve had graduated. Dustin still called him all the time, and they hung out every so often, but Dustin knew that nineteen year olds didn’t have a lot in common with fourteen year olds, at least not enough to hang out regularly. They were like brothers, more than anything, and they were in a weird spot.
Thankfully, through some grace of God, Dustin met Eddie.
It was bound to happen, considering Dustin had wanted to join the Hellfire Club anyway. He’s already informed the rest of the group - Mike and Lucas - so that the three of them could still play DnD together. Lucas had seemed hesitant, but that was to be expected. Things were changing.
He missed Will. Will would have loved Hellfire, had he not been in California.
Dustin met Eddie Munson at lunch - his first lunch in high school. The food Hawkins High served was mildly disturbing and likely lacked any nutritional value, so Dustin was grateful that his mother had kept up the tradition of packing him a lunch special for his first day. She even included chocolate pudding, since it was his favorite.
Mike and Lucas weren’t going to be at lunch on the first day, because Lucas wanted to check out the basketball team, and Mike wanted to see if he could call El - she wasn’t starting school until the following week. This meant that Dustin was alone in the cafeteria, and he wasn’t entirely prepared to face the brutal sting of rejection, so he didn’t want to just pick a random table and try to make friends. He already had friends, they just weren’t there.
He stopped in his tracks and scanned the room, pondering his next move. There was no way he’d sit with the jocks or the cheerleaders, and the rest of the tables were unrecognizable in terms of what cliques they represented. This was nothing like he’d seen in movies - he didn’t even really know who the popular ones were versus the unpopular ones.
He must have been standing there for a bit too long, because suddenly he was nudged hard in the shoulder.
“Move it, loser,” a guy twice his size said. “You’re in everybody’s way.”
“S-sorry,” Dustin apologized. He took a few steps backward, deciding to just start walking and see what happens, but then he bumped into someone else.
“Jesus, kid,” another voice said. “You’re like a pinball.”
Dustin looked up to see a tall, rather intimidating man with long, curly brown hair. He was dressed in denim and leather, the Hellfire logo splayed across his chest. He looked way too old to be a high school student, but way too scary to be a faculty member.
Not scary in a dangerous way - Dustin had experienced enough real danger that most normal things didn’t faze him - but scary in a way where Dustin felt the person standing in front of him had some kind of power in the school. A reputation, at least, whether it be good or bad.
“Welcome back, Freak,” another random student remarked at him as they walked past. Dustin watched as the enigmatic metalhead flipped the student off with zero hesitation.
Ah, so it was for sure a bad reputation. Noted.
“So, I’m the school freak,” he said, theatrically bowing as he introduced myself. “Eddie. Eddie Munson. And you are…”
“Dustin Henderson,” he answered without a second thought.
“I was going to say -” Eddie continued, “- you are….wearing a Weird Al shirt. Bold move for your first day, Dustin Henderson.”
“How did you know it was my first day?” Dustin asked, grateful to be having some sort of civil conversation, even if he had no idea where it was going.
“Just a hunch,” Eddie replied with a shrug. Dustin looked back at Eddie’s shirt.
“You're in Hellfire?” he asked. Eddie grinned, then pointed at a table where a bunch of people were wearing the same shirts.
“Hellfire is my pride and joy. We play a game called Dungeons and Dragons, have you heard of it?” Before Dustin could confirm, Eddie kept talking. “Of course you’ve heard of it, look at you. You’re one of us, I know it.” Eddie gestured for Dustin to follow him to the Hellfire table, which he gladly did.
“Eddie, who’s this?” a member seated at the table asked when they approached.
“This, Gareth, is Dustin, and he’s sitting with us today.” Eddie pointed at an available seat, then looped around to his own. Dustin noticed a textbook in front of Gareth and chimed in.
“You’re taking chemistry?” he asked. Gareth nodded. “That’s cool. I love chemistry. I went to this awesome summer camp called Camp Know Where -”
“Sorry, sorry, sorry,” Eddie interrupted. “Did you just say you love chemistry? What kind of kid actually enjoys that shit? Are you a masochist? I failed that class twice.” Eddie’s rambling was entertaining, to say the least.
“Isn’t Camp Know Where that science program where all the geniuses go?” another person at the table asked.
“Jesus Christ,” Eddie exclaimed dramatically. “Okay, Dustin Henderson. I will protect you, since you so desperately need the protection. In return, you will join Hellfire, and occasionally help me with homework because you’re obviously smarter than half the people in this school. Deal?”
“Only half?” Dustin joked - although, it wasn’t really a joke. Dustin knew for a fact he was smarter than at least 75% of the school. “Fine, I accept these terms. Can my friends Mike and Lucas join too?” Eddie rolled his eyes and sighed.
“You’re killing me,” he said. “Yeah, yeah. Bring all the Freshies in, I guess. No one will come near you if you stick with us, but you’ll avoid being stuffed in lockers at least.” That seemed like a good enough deal to Dustin, for now. “Alright, kid. Welcome to Hellfire.”
-
Dustin recounted this entire interaction with Steve the moment he’d gotten home from school.
“Eugh, Hellfire?” Steve said over the phone, acting disgusted. “That club’s for nerds.”
“Earth to Steve, I am a nerd,” Dustin deadpanned. “And Eddie said -”
“Oh god, not Munson,” Steve groaned. “That guy’s trouble, I swear. Seriously, you should get out of this while you can.”
“And go where?” Dustin retorted, starting to get agitated. “It’s not like I can float through school like you did by joining all the sports teams. I’m gonna be made fun of either way, and you know it.” Steve was silent on the line for a bit, knowing that Dustin was right.
“I wish I could be there to watch over you, ya know,” he said at last.
“Yeah, I wish you could too, but I have Eddie at least.”
Eddie. Ugh. Steve hated that guy. He was always doing something weird and dramatic to try to get a reaction from people.
“Yeah, okay. But I’ll kick his ass if he tries anything, alright?” Dustin laughed.
“Sure you will, Buddy.”
-
Mike and Lucas were far more terrified of Eddie than Dustin was. He knew why - Eddie had shown a bit of kindness that first day, but he wasn’t usually like that. Eddie was the kind of guy who loved attention, and he knew the best way for him to get it was through negative attention. He consistently made an ass of himself.
Dustin enjoyed it. Mike and Lucas didn’t not enjoy it, but they still felt like he was unhinged. Maybe he was. Dustin didn’t think about it that much.
Him and Eddie had bonded pretty quickly, especially since Dustin would hang around after lunch or club meetings to talk about homework. Eddie had a lot of questions, and he was kind of a horrible student. This was especially evident when Dustin discovered he was a third year senior, which explained why the guy looked so goddamn old.
“Damn,” Dustin said once he found out. “You’re even older than Steve. Wait - you might know Steve actually. He graduated last year. Steve Harrington?”
Eddie Munson did an actual spit take with his soda. Dustin had only ever seen that in movies.
“No shit,” Eddie responded. “You know that asshole?”
“He’s not an asshole,” Dustin replied immediately, quick to defend his friend. “He’s awesome.”
Dustin opened his mouth to continue, but it was hard to explain why Steve was awesome when he had to leave Upside Down stuff out of it. He totally saved us from a bunch of Demodogs, and one time he got tortured for information underground by evil Russians. Dustin considered mentioning the time Steve protected the kids from Billy - that was unrelated to the secret world the group had been privy to - but, considering Hargrove’s death, it felt in bad taste to bring up now.
“So you’re trying to tell me that you’re friends with the guy?” Eddie asked suspiciously. “Why? I mean, why would he be friends with a kid so much younger than him?”
“Why are you?” Dustin retorted. Eddie chuckled.
“Touche. But I know why I’m friends with a bunch of kids, why is he?”
“It’s complicated,” Dustin replied with a shrug. “But Steve’s pulled through for me a lot. He’s cool. You should give him a chance.”
“Give him a chance? I don’t ever see him. Are you trying to have us all hang out for a slumber party or something?” Dustin shook his head and was about to respond, but Eddie was on a roll (as usual). “Listen, Henderson. You’re cool and all, and I’m glad you joined our little clan here. But you wouldn’t want to hang out with me outside of this hellhole we call school, and I certainly wouldn’t want to hang out with Steve goddamn Harrington.”
There was a definitive finality to his statement that let Dustin know there was no point in arguing. But it did leave him wondering what exactly had happened to cause them to dislike each other so much.
-
Dustin blew through his first few weeks of school like this. He’d visit Steve and mention Eddie, and Steve would complain about how Eddie was a bad influence and would probably get arrested before graduation, if he ever did graduate. Any time Dustin brought up Steve in Hellfire, Eddie would groan and complain about the forced conformity and bullshit societal infrastructure at the high school that separated the good from the bad and blah blah blah. Dustin probably had that speech damn near memorized. Eddie seemed to hate the jocks, and for decent enough reason - the jocks hated him. And Dustin knew that Steve was kind of a dick in high school, but he’d changed now.
So, yeah. He’d had enough. He just thought that if maybe he could get the two of them in the same room, they’d start to understand why Dustin liked each of them so much. They were both good guys who were protective of him, and he wanted them to get along, dammit!
Steve always went to the basketball games to support Lucas and the rest of the team, which was nice. On nights where the games coincided with Hellfire, Steve would drive Dustin home after.
On one of these nights, Dustin hatched a bit of a plan. Usually, Hellfire got out before the game was over, so Dustin would meet Steve outside of the gym. This time, Dustin intentionally stayed late to help Eddie clean up and talk his ear off about his upcoming biology report. Eddie seemed to be in decent enough spirits, fresh off another successful campaign, and Steve was in a good mood because he now had a job again with Robin. It gave him money to take women out on dates, which he did often.
As Dustin chatted with Eddie, there was a pounding on the door.
“Hey, Dipshit!” Steve called from the other side. “Are you in there? Did Munson kill you or something?” Dustin grimaced as he gaged Eddie’s reaction to the comment, but thankfully Eddie seemed amused more than anything.
“Sure did,” Eddie shouted back with a grin. “Bite me, Harrington.” Dustin rolled his eyes.
“I’m fine, Steve!” he yelled. “Come in!”
“You’re inviting him into my sacred space?” Eddie asked with feigned offense.
“Your sacred space?” Dustin mocked. “You mean the drama club room? Based on the shit I’ve heard, it’s the least sacred spot on school property.” Eddie was laughing as Steve opened the door and came in.
“You guys making fun of me?” he asked, his chest puffed out in his silly Steve way. Dustin didn’t find Steve or Eddie that intimidating, because he saw right through their tough guy act. They were both goofballs.
“Always,” Eddie replied, returning to his cleaning tasks. “So, you’re Dustin’s ride home huh? How’d you guys become friends in the first place?” Steve hesitated, facing the same issue Dustin had when he’d been asked the same thing. Thankfully, he’d had more time to prepare since then.
“Steve used to date Mike’s sister,” Dustin stated plainly. Steve opened his mouth to object to the sharing of that information, but then Dustin added - “And then I annoyed him into being my friend.”
“That’s not really -” Steve grimaced, then realized that was the best version of the story either of them could provide. “Yeah, okay. The kid really worms his way into your heart.”
“I know, right?” Eddie replied absentmindedly. Dustin was thrilled to see them agree on something. It was a moment where he hoped they’d realize they could actually get along. “I remember when you dated Nancy Wheeler. I’m surprised it didn’t work out, since you were so perfect for each other.”
Okay, so maybe they wouldn’t get along. The way Eddie had said the word perfect almost seemed like an insult. To Eddie, it was. Dustin noticed Steve tensing and felt the need to mediate.
“Anyway,” he said, searching for something, anything, to redirect the conversation. He wasn’t sure when he was gonna get them in the same room again, so he couldn’t just leave. “How was the game, Steve?” Eddie rolled his eyes when Steve lit up again.
“We lost,” he answered. Dustin noticed Eddie hiding a smirk under one of his ringed hands. “It’s a shame they keep Lucas on the bench, although he’s a Freshman so it makes sense I guess. I mean, that’s how it always has been.”
“You mean to tell me,” Eddie interjected. Oh boy. “- that a high school sports team values a players popularity over their talent?” He scoffed. “Probably why you got so much airtime, right Harrington?”
Oh Jesus Christ this is bad. This is going badly. Steve was clearly offended by that comment, and rightfully so.
“Eddie, can you just - be nice?” Dustin pleaded.
“Since when am I nice?” Eddie shot back, picking the last of his papers up and stuffing them in his bag.
“You’re nice to me,” Dustin pointed out.
“Yeah, because I like you,” Eddie replied, “-and as I’ve said to you multiple times, I don’t like him.” Eddie gestured vaguely in Steve’s direction.
“What did I ever even do to you, Munson?” Steve questioned, finally deciding to stand up for himself. “Seriously man, you’re being a dick.”
“I know what you think of me,” Eddie answered plainly. “I’m just calling it like I see it.”
“Okay, well this has been sufficiently awkward and horrible,” Dustin sighed, finally giving up. “I was wrong, you two are hopeless. Eddie, Steve’s right. You’re being a dick.” That accusation actually did seem to have an effect on Eddie, even though he tried not to let it show. “Steve, let’s go home.”
On the walk to the car, Steve had already seemed to brush the whole interaction off.
“I told you that guy’s no good,” he said. “Thanks for defending me, by the way.”
“I promise he’s not usually like that,” Dustin assured him. But, come to think of it, that kind of was how Eddie usually spoke to people, especially the popular kids. But Dustin was in Hellfire, he was one of them, as Eddie said, and he treated the freaks far differently and with more respect.
His two cool older guy friends were bound to hate each other, he realized. No getting around it, no point in trying to change it.
_______________________________________
Eddie had gone to Family Video countless times over the years, because what else were people supposed to do in Hawkins, Indiana? It was cheaper and involved less people than going to the movies, and it was something to entertain him while he was home.
Imagine his surprise when he walked into the store one day and saw none other than Steve Harrington behind the counter.
The green vest Steve was forced to wear was a lot more masculine than the get-up he’d worn at Scoops Ahoy over the Summer. Eddie had the pleasure of seeing him a few times at the mall in his little short shorts and stupid hat, and it was an image he sorely missed. Seeing King Steve pathetically dressed and striking out with women post-graduation? Delicious.
He’d only let himself visit once, although he may have done it again had the mall not burned down. But alas, Steve’s sailor outfit days were short-lived, and now he was back to being the same old boring jock he always had been - just now, he didn’t even play sports.
Eddie may have been in his third go-around of senior year, but at least he wasn’t pretending he was someone he wasn’t. He embraced his freak nature, and had grown comfortable in it. Life hadn’t been kind enough to him to give him the option of the niceties people like Steve took advantage of.
“Hey, man,” Steve greeted him as he entered the door. He was so nonchalant about it, like he didn’t even care about Eddie’s presence. Eddie didn’t care too much about Steve being there, except he did. There was a fire in Eddie's dislike for Steve that seemed one sided. Steve being almost indifferent made Eddie hate him even more. “Let me know if I can help you find anything.” Eddie ignored Steve’s surprisingly sincere customer service and went directly to the row of movies he always went to. He scanned the selection - it looked about the same as it had the last ten times he’d reviewed it - then picked one of his favorites and brought it to the counter.
Steve didn’t say anything more than that as he went through the rental process. It was all over in less than two minutes, and Eddie was mildly disappointed in the lack of drama. If Steve wasn’t an asshole, then what? Was Eddie the asshole all along?
Yeah. Yeah, he absolutely was.
He was on his way out when he stopped, then spun on his heels to face Steve at the counter again.
“Listen, man,” he began. Steve looked up from the pile of VHS tapes he was sorting, seemingly unbothered by any of this. “I’m sorry about, uh - about the other night.”
“Thanks,” Steve responded with a nod. Eddie could never really just leave things alone, though.
“Dustin was right,” he continued.
“The little shit usually is.” Steve had returned his gaze to the movies in front of him.
“Yeah,” Eddie chuckled, a bit too forcefully in an attempt to ease the tension. “I’ll see you around, then.”
“See ya,” Steve responded. Eddie pouted, not satisfied with how that went, and he wasn’t sure why. But whatever. He was gonna go home, get high, and watch the movie. A good night was ahead.
He paused at the door when the phone rang, pretending to get distracted by a cardboard cutout near the window.
“Family Video,” Steve said on the phone. “Woah, shit. Dustin, calm down. Where are you?” This got Eddie’s attention, and he raced back to the counter. “Okay, I’ll figure something out.”
“What’s up with Henderson?” Eddie asked, his concern growing.
“I guess some guys are picking on him. He called from the side of the road on a pay phone near the power plant.”
“Jesus, what did they do to him? Is he okay?”
“He’s great, that’s why he called,” Steve shot back sarcastically. He ran a hand through his hair and sighed. “I don’t know if I can just leave my shift since I just started this job like three days ago. Shit.”
“I’ll go,” Eddie offered. “The plant is right by my place anyway. Don’t sweat it.” Steve eyed Eddie suspiciously, then nodded.
“Okay, I guess. Just - can you call here once you know he’s safe?”
“Sure thing, Harrington.” It was a brief, genuine moment between the two of them, both desperate to protect the tiny child they each adored so much.
And with that, Eddie bolted out of Family Video, to his van, and towards the plant.
Dustin had apparently been chased down and recaptured after he called Steve, because Eddie found him tied to a pole a bit further down the street.
“Eddie!” he yelled once they locked eyes. “Get me out of this shit!”
Dustin was doing his damndest to break free from the binds, but it was no use. Eddie took his pocket knife out from where he always kept them tucked in his jeans and got to work, successfully freeing the little twerp once he stopped squirming.
“Who did this? Where are they?” Eddie felt the heat rising in his chest, up his neck, and to his cheeks. “How’d they even get a hold of you? Why are you all the way over here? What -”
“Jesus, Eddie,” Dustin interrupted him. “It doesn’t matter. I just wanna go home.”
Eddie looked Dustin up and down and noticed a bruise forming on his jaw.
“Come on, my trailer is right there,” Eddie said, pointing in the vague direction of Forest Hills. “Let’s get you cleaned up first.”
_______________________________________
Steve tried to wait idly by while he entrusted a guy like Eddie to go rescue Dustin. He tried to do the responsible thing for once and stay at his stupid job so he could keep said job. He tried not to think about how Eddie could have been behind this whole thing, for all he knew. Some sick twisted mind game. He tried not to think about any of that.
He lasted two minutes before he called Robin and begged her to fill in. She accepted after a few minutes of persuasion - after all, Steve didn’t ask her for things very often, and he always drove her around, so she kinda owed him. It took her about fifteen agonizing minutes to get there, and just as she walked in the door, the phone rang.
“Family video,” he greeted, hoping a familiar voice would be on the other end.
“Steve, it’s me,” Dustin’s voice called through the phone. “I’m at Eddie’s. I’m okay.”
“Where does he live?” Steve asked, still hellbent on leaving.
“At the trailer park. You don’t have to -”
Steve dropped the phone and ran out the door, not even bothering to hang it back up on the receiver. He headed to Forest Hills, and was thankfully able to locate Eddie’s trailer pretty quickly due to the beat-up red van parked in front of it. He stumbled out of his own car as soon as it stopped, nearly forgetting to take his keys from the ignition. Maybe it was silly for him to worry about Dustin so much, but after what they’d been through together, Steve had learned to treat everything as life or death.
The door pushed open from the stress of his knock alone, so he let himself in.
Eddie’s place was small, messy, and smelled of smoke. But, it was clear the place was a home. Steve’s house was a hundred times bigger and somehow contained less.
“Dustin?” Steve called as he walked deeper into the living room. “Eddie?”
“Bathroom!” Steve followed the voice down the hall to where Eddie was tending to a bruise forming on Dustin’s jaw.
“Who did this? Where are they?” Eddie chuckled, and Steve almost lashed out because of it, but then Eddie explained.
“That’s exactly what I said when I found him, Harrington.” Steve took note of the care that Eddie was actually putting into his first aid. It was surprisingly gentle. “Good luck getting him to rat the bastards out.”
“I told you, it doesn’t matter,” Dustin groaned.
“Whoever it was, we can take ‘em,” Steve insisted. He noticed Eddie smirk at the inclusion of them both taking the bullies down.
“You idiots!” Dustin snapped, standing up from where he was sitting on the lip of the bathtub. “Don’t you get it? I don’t want you to ‘take ‘em.’ It was embarrassing enough to have them pick on me, I don’t need you guys to go down there and humiliate me even more.”
“We’re just trying to protect you, man,” Eddie replied.
“I don’t need protection!” Dustin shouted, causing Eddie and Steve to back up. “My bike isn’t far. I’m going home. Eddie, thanks for cutting me down. Steve, thanks for leaving work when I asked you to. You’re both really good friends, and I appreciate it. I just want to go home.”
It broke Steve’s heart to know that Dustin was getting picked on. He just wanted to help, but he understood the whole pride thing. Steve had fought many uphill battles in the past in the name of saving face. Ironically, his face was usually what took the brunt of the consequences.
“You sure you’re gonna be -” Eddie began to ask the question before Steve was able to, but stopped himself when Dustin shot a glare at them both. “Right, okay. Can you just call when you get home okay?”
“Me too,” Steve added.
“Okay, mom and dad,” Dustin replied, rolling his eyes. “Or, Steve could stay here ten minutes and then I’d only have to make one call. Unless you guys will murder each other by then.”
“Jury’s out,” Eddie muttered. Steve felt like it was a joke, but also Eddie gave off psycho killer vibes, so anything was possible. “Sure, Harrington. You can stay here until he gets home.”
Steve wanted to think of a witty comeback, but his head was empty. He could stay, and then he figured he should get back to work.
“Fine,” he agreed. “But the moment you walk through your door, got it?”
“Yes, dad,” Dustin deadpanned.
“I thought I was dad,” Eddie cut in.
“You think I’m mom?”
“Ten minutes, no murders,” Dustin reminded them before heading out the door. There was a beat of silence before Steve and Eddie turned to each other once again.
“So, we’re definitely gonna go to that plant and kick some ass, right?” Eddie asked, his tone completely devoid of its usual teasing. Steve smirked.
“Finally, we’re on the same page,” he replied.
Ten minutes later, Dustin called as promised. Seconds after the call disconnected, Steve and Eddie made a beeline for the front door.
-
It was getting dark, even though it was a bit too early for the sun to set. Clouds were forming in the sky, a bleak omen of the impending storm that neither Eddie nor Steve had prepared for.
They walked to the plant in silence, because what was there to be said? They were going to tolerate each other to defeat the common enemy.
A group of misfits were in fact still camped out under one of the towers. They were all smoking and laughing and spouting nonsensical vitriol about the student body - kids like Dustin, as well as the women of the school. If Eddie and Steve weren’t heated already, the few comments they’d overheard sent them over the edge.
“Hey!” Steve shouted, cutting one of the guys off. Five pairs of eyes flickered over to the pair, who’d realized once they were in the situation that they were vastly outnumbered.
“Steve Harrington?” One of the boys questioned. “What are you doing over here?”
“And with Munson?” Another added. “I never thought I’d see the two of you together.”
“Neither did I,” Steve and Eddie said in unison. They glanced at each other, awkwardly acknowledging that they’d said the same thing at the same time, then hastily moved on.
“Is this about the boy?” The leader of the group was probably a Junior, and shorter than both Eddie and Steve, but he had enough audacity to make up for it.
“Found him tied to a pole,” Eddie reminded them through gritted teeth. This was news to Steve, who’s blood boiled at the thought. A few years prior, Tommy and Carol used to do shit like that. Maybe not to that extent, but it was all the same.
“Why do you care so much about that dumbass anyway?” The leader (was his name Chad?) asked.
“He’s totally harmless,” Steve said.
“Us on the other hand…” Eddie interjected.
“Oh yeah,” Steve agreed. “I’ve been known to throw a punch, and Eddie over here  is actually insane, I’m pretty sure.”
“Aw, thanks man,” Eddie grinned devilishly, smacking Steve on the back. “Our point being, you stay away from Henderson and we won’t break anything, okay?”
Thunder cracked in the distance, followed by a flash of lightning.
“Yeah, okay,” Chad mocked. “We’re not scared of you.” Eddie and Steve looked at each other, shrugged, then both trudged forward. Eddie took Chad while Steve went for the one who appeared to be second in command. They each pushed them against the metal pillars, gripping them by the collar of their shirts, and drawing their other hand back into a fist.
“How about now?” Eddie asked with darkness in his eyes.
“Let’s get out of here,” one of the others in the group said, and within moments the other three bullies scampered away into the night.
“Some loyal friends you got there,” Eddie teased. Steve was getting agitated at how many stupid quips Eddie had. Was he supposed to be all quippy too? Was that the secret to winning one of these goddamn things?
Thunder rumbled again, this time much louder than before. Rain started to fall hard against their skin, distracting them enough for the two pathetic bullies to slip from their gasps and follow their friends out of sight.
“Shit,” Steve groaned, realizing that they’d just made a fool of themselves. “Not only did we not hurt them, but they’re definitely going to tell people about it, and then -”
“Is that seriously what you’re worried about right now?” Eddie interrupted, the rage in him still burning. “Your reputation? Claaassic Steve Harrington, always thinking about himself.”
“That’s not what I was saying, asshole,” Steve responded. “Dustin’s going to find out, and then -”
“So what if he does?” Eddie asked. Steve was sick and tired of being interrupted. “If they mess with him again, then -”
“Could you let me finish a goddamn sentence? Holy shit,” Steve exclaimed, thoroughly irritated. The rain was falling steadily now, the drops heavy as they hit him. His hair was already starting to feel weighed down to his scalp. Perfect. Just perfect. “Dustin told us not to do anything, and then we did, okay? So what do you think that little shrimp’s gonna do when he finds out, huh?”
“He’ll handle it, Harrington,” Eddie shot back. “He’s a big boy.”
“Oh, come on!” Steve groaned. “Don’t give me that bullshit when ten minutes ago you dropped everything to rescue him like he was some lost puppy.”
“Because he was tied to a pole!” Eddie responded.
“That would have been helpful to know before we headed out here, by the way.” Steve put his hands on his hips and planted his feet in the mud. It was way too late to worry about his appearance, now.
“Oh, Jesus H. Christ,” Eddie sighed, taking a step towards Steve. “You’re just as awful as I thought you were.”
“Oh, really?” Steve said, taking another step forward to meet Eddie. “Back atcha.”
“Fuck off.”
“Fuck off.”
There was another loud crack of thunder as both of them shoved the other at the same time, causing them both to stumble backwards until they each hit one of the metal pillars extending down from the plant.
A flash of light. A quick, searing pain. Then, they each dropped to their knees and fell into the mud.
-
It felt like a sudden hangover, and a bad one. Eddie opened his eyes and cringed at the feeling of mud under his fingernails and up his arms.
For a moment, he’d forgotten how he ended up on the ground. It felt like he was somewhere different, and he wasn’t sure why. He sat up, extremely disoriented, and then focused on a similar crumpled heap across from him. It took a second for Eddie to make out Steve’s features in the dark, but then his head angled upwards, their eyes met, and everything got a whole lot more complicated.
“Steve…” Eddie began, speaking slowly. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. “Why the hell do you look like me, man?”
The man across from him had the same features Eddie had come to know in his own reflection - the same style, same hair, same everything, but no - that didn’t make any sense.
“I was going to ask you the same thing,” the man replied. The man, who answered to Steve, but couldn’t possibly be. No, Eddie was dreaming. He’d done some hallucinogenic and forgot and now he was tripping. That had to be the case.
They both stood up, mirroring each other, and for a moment Eddie thought that maybe that’s all this was. Some trick of the light. Maybe, there was a mirror at the power plant for some reason, and he was just staring at himself. Sure, the other guy responded to him, but he couldn’t think about that.
He waved at himself, but the guy across from him didn’t wave back. There went the mirror theory.
It was still raining, but it had lightened up quite a bit. The two men took a few tentative steps towards each other, their eyes adjusting.
“So, this is…I mean, we are…” Eddie fumbled over words that didn’t make sense.
“What kind of weird cult shit did you do to me?” Steve accused, his voice rising. “Did you drug me? Sacrifice me to the devil or something?”
“Dude, are you fucking serious right now?” Eddie groaned, throwing his head back. “I didn’t do shit.”
“Then what happened?” Steve snapped. “How did we - Like, you’re seeing this too, right?”
“Yeah, I’m seeing it.” Eddie finally took a moment to look down, noticing a vastly different wardrobe than the one he remembered putting on.
Including a green vest.
“Holy shit,” Steve said. It was weird hearing his voice with Steve’s words.
The idea of saying it out loud - dude, we switched bodies - seemed too batshit insane to consider. So, naturally, Eddie did what he knew best.
“No. Nope. Not happening.” he shook his head and took off towards his trailer.
“Hey. Hey!” Eddie’s own voice echoed behind him, followed by footsteps that got louder and louder as Eddie desperately tried to get away. He didn’t even look back until he was safely in his trailer again, the feeling of home making him feel slightly more at ease. “Dude, we gotta figure this out.” Steve followed him in, of course.
“Why? Why do we have to? Why can’t I just shower and go to sleep and hopefully wake up from this nightmare?”
“Because I don’t think we’re gonna wake up,” Steve said with a shrug. “And because if you shower right now you’re gonna see my dick, and so I think we should, like, talk first.” Eddie barked out a bitter laugh.
“Don’t flatter yourself, Harrington. Would you feel better if I bought you dinner first?” He continued to walk down the hall to his bathroom, where first aid supplies were still strewn about, and that’s when he caught himself in the mirror.
Sure enough, Steve Harrington stared back at him. He looked a little worse for wear with his hair wet and disheveled and streaks of mud on his face, but no amount of dirt could change the pretty boy Steve was and always would be. He nearly spat at the image. Eddie’s familiar figure joined him in the bathroom, where they stood shoulder to shoulder and stared at themselves for an absurd amount of time. It was the closest they’d ever been to each other for more than a few fleeting seconds, but they were too stunned to do anything about their proximity.
“Okay, so…” Steve said, watching Eddie’s mouth move as he said it.
“I’m you,” Eddie responded, finishing the thought.
“And I’m you,” Steve finished. Their eyes stayed focused on their reflections for a while longer. How long exactly, it was tough to say.
“So, what the fuck do we do now, then?” Eddie asked, finally breaking his gaze to look at Steve - er, himself, he guessed.
What did they do now? That was certainly the question.
____________________________
Steve had gotten used to weird shit happening to him, but this was a whole new world of weird.
“I guess…” Steve searched for a plan, but he had no semblance of one. His head was completely empty. Probably because I’m using Eddie’s head, he thought to himself. “I should call Robin and tell her I’m not coming back to work.”
“You mean I should call Robin, since I am you now apparently.” Steve scoffed.
“You’re not me, alright? You just look like me, for some reason,” he argued. “Maybe we should call Dustin.”
“Yeah, because he’s soooo happy with us right now,” Eddie responded. “What do we say when he asks us what happened? We did the thing he told us not to do, and now we’re facing the consequences.”
“Consequences?” Steve repeated. “No, no. On any other day, in any other town, we would have done what we did and nothing would have happened. This isn’t a consequence, this is just my goddamn luck.”
“You’re acting like this is just any regular day for you,” Eddie complained. “Do you body swap with your enemies often?” Steve shot him a glare. The actual answer of, no but I’ve had a bunch of other weird shit happen, was on the tip of his tongue. If only Eddie knew what was really going on in Hawkins. Steve thought Eddie probably had his head up his own ass too much to notice, anyway. “Fine. I’ll call Robin.”
“Don’t say anything I wouldn’t, okay?” Steve warned, suddenly terrified at the power Eddie had to do some damage if he wanted to.
“Don’t worry, I know exactly what to say.” Eddie went to his phone and dialed the number to the video store. “Hi, Robin. It’s me, your coworker, Steeeeve Harrington.”
Great start. Jesus.
“Dude,” Steve whined, nudging Eddie’s shoulder. “I don’t sound like that.”
“Yeah, I’m still at Eddie’s,” he continued on the phone. “Dustin’s okay. Can you finish my shift?” Huh. After the playfully performative introduction, Eddie seemed to actually act normal on the phone. “Great, thanks a bunch.” Just when Steve thought they were in the clear, Eddie tagged on a final line. “See ya later, Sweetheart,” followed by a bunch of kissing noises.
Steve wrestled the phone from ‘Steve’ and slammed it against the receiver.
“What the hell was that?”
“That -” Eddie said with a grin, “- was fun.” Steve’s eyes narrowed as anger began coursing through his veins. Anger, mixed with fear. Fear of this guy he hated, who now had full control of his life.
“If you mess with my life, Munson, I swear to god -”
“What?” Eddie cut him off, barely fazed. “What are you gonna do? Get me back? Harrington, I’ve got nothing to lose. I’m already the school freak, nobody gives a shit what I do.”
He had a fair point. Steve scrambled to think of a way, any way, he could get under Eddie’s skin the way Eddie was under his.
“You have Hellfire,” he blurted out. Steve knew from Dustin just how much Eddie loved that stupid club. Based on Eddie’s reaction, Steve had made the right call. “I could tank it,” he continued. “Give up your title as dungeon manager or whatever.”
“Dungeon Master,” Eddie corrected him through gritted teeth. “You wouldn’t.”
“Oh, I would,” Steve insisted. “If you mess with me, I’ll mess right back.”
They stared at each other, knowing that each of them were serious.
“Fine,” Eddie agreed. “I will play nice.” He stuck his hand out in front of him for Steve to shake. Steve hesitantly did so, not sure if he believed a word out of Eddie’s mouth.
He was right to be mistrusting. Eddie had the fingers of his other hand crossed behind his back.

Smut prompt 14 with Chrissy? Words cannot describe how much I love this woman <3
YAY!!! CHRISSY
I literally love her too- so I'm writing a long one for her
Smut 18+
“I’m going to fucking ruin you.”
Tumblr media
Chrissy Cunningham was the perfect child, perfect grades, a spot on reputation, and a huge secret.
Being captain of the cheerleading team meant she had eyes on her everywhere, watching her every move and never letting her breathe in peace.
Her family wanted her to be on top of grades, every club possible and date the star player of the basketball team, Jason Carver. Her parents were very tight with his parents and always dreamed of them being together. Chrissy never wanted to disappoint her parents, even more than she already has, so a date with Jason couldn't have been that bad. Now she finds herself stuck living a life she didn't want. Dating a guy she didn't love and doesn't think she could ever learn to love.
~~
Chrissy needed another club to add to her transcript. Her parents didn't like that she had so much free time, that meant she wasn't doing enough.
Chrissy already was part of every club possible, but not hellfire.
She hesitantly knocked on the door, a practiced smile on her face.
The one and only Eddie Munson opened the door, shock on his face seeing the queen of high school at his door.
"Are you lost?" He asked, looking around the hallway.
"no! I actually was seeing about joining hellfire." She smiled at him more reassuringly. Showing she means no harm, just interested.
"um why?" Not like he didn't want her there, but this made no sense at all.
"I wanted to join a new club." Eddie eyed her suspiciously but invited her in.
And the rest was history.
~~
Chrissy became best friends with Eddie, Jeff, Gareth, Dustin, and Mike.
And deeply falling in love with Eddie's partner in crime, Y/N.
Y/N wasn't there the first day Chrissy joined, so when she walked in to see a cheerleader next to Eddie she was shocked but welcomed her with open arms.
They quickly became friends, being the only girls in hellfire had it's perks. They got to team up, have sleepovers and spend many hours together.
~~
It was hard not to fall for Chrissy, she was gorgeous and kind. But she had a boyfriend and a very popular relationship.
Y/N was gay but very few people knew, just her closets friends. Eddie loved having a guy friend, someone to talk babes with. And one girl was the main topic of conversation.
"So when are you going to make the moves on lover girl?" Eddie asked as he slid next to Y/N at the lunch table, watching as she stared at the cheerleader eating her lunch.
Y/N quickly shushed him and slapped his arm. "Not in school." She warned. Eddie rolled his eyes.
"she's definitely got a thing for you." He said with a teasing smile.
"Eddie she has a boyfriend, and definitely is not gay. We are friends, and that's it."
~~
"If you keep staring at her she's going to notice "
Chrissy jumped from Eddie's words coming from behind her. Quickly turning her head with a blush on her cheeks. Eyes diverting away from Y/N.
"I am not staring." She denied. Eddie laughed at the obvious lie.
"Oh yeah sure. Why don't you just make a move?"
"Um no. Plus it's obvious she likes you."
Eddie laughed hard at that, full on clenching his stomach as he leaned over.
Chrissy watched him confused, a slight smile on her face.
"what's so funny?"
"She's gay and she's definitely in to you. So listen to me when I say make the fucking move."
~~
Now that's how Chrissy found herself at a party searching the dance floor for Y/N.
"She's in the kitchen. I'll distract your asshole boyfriend."
Eddie being her wing man was not what she thought would have happened when joining hellfire.
But neither was falling in love with a girl.
Hellfire was full of surprises.
Once she found Y/N in the kitchen, she felt her thighs clench together and her blood boil. Y/N stood there, talking with some gorgeous girl. Standing very close, screaming over the music. Her tight dark blue dress framed her body perfectly. Cut down past her thighs and fishnets rested underneath. Chrissy could feel her eyes stopping at Y/N's ass, body heating up the more she thought of how her body looked underneath the dress. But once her eyes caught a hand landing on the ass she was staring at, she snapped out of it.
Seeing Y/N's mouth locking lips with the girl, easily slipping her tongue into the kiss. Chrissy hated that she was close enough to hear the moans and groans from the two. The girls hand gripping harder on Y/N's ass.
Chrissy had two options: leave Y/N be and enjoy the night. Chrissy had a boyfriend she couldn't be jealous of this. OR she could march up there and rip that skank off of Y/N.
In the heat of her own jealousy she chose the second option. Marching over to the making out couple and grabbing the girls shoulder, yanking a tad bit harshly.
"WHAT THE FUCK?" the girl screamed as she was yanked away from Y/N's lips. Chrissy felt herself fuming when she saw the lipstick smeared over her lips.
Chrissy didn't bother to answer, standing in front of Y/N with a murderous look in her eyes. Y/N watched her actions, confused no doubt, having no idea what in the hell was going on with Chrissy.
Chrissy was barely thinking straight, but she grabbed Y/N's hand and dragged her to the closest room she could find, a random bedroom.
She threw her in the room and slammed the door behind them.
"Chris?" Y/N asked softly, her touch burning straight through Chrissy's skin as her hand landed on her shoulder.
Chrissy snapped around fast, toe to toe with her, staring into Y/N's worried eyes.
All she could hear was Eddie screaming to make the fucking move, so she did.
Chrissy moved her hands to the back of her dress, unzipping the material and letting it fall to her feet.
Y/N blushed and moved her eyes away quickly, no matter how bad she wanted to stare at Chrissy in her fucking matching lingerie.
"Chrissy, what are you doing?" She asked, eyes still looking anywhere else.
Chrissy didn't answer, simply unhooking her bra and throwing it on the floor. She watched as Y/N gulped as her eyes raced across her bare chest. A small smile reached her lips as she felt Y/N soaking her in. She walked up to her slowly, the heels she wore clinking against the floor.
"I'm making the first move." She whispered quietly, her hand wrapping around to the back of Y/N's head.
"What about Jason?"
"What about the slut from downstairs?"
Y/N felt herself chuckled at the bitterness in Chrissy's voice.
"Were you jealous pretty girl?" She teased, her fingertips touching Chrissy's bare skin. "Jealous that she was touching me? Jealous I was kissing her? Did you want to be you?"
"Yes." Chrissy moaned as Y/N's fingers teased her nipples. Her mind was screaming at her. She had no idea how to do anything with a girl, and she barely touched herself. Jason barely gave head or fingered her. She felt like a virgin all over again but this time with a girl who she knew damn well what she was doing.
"I'm going to fucking ruin you, you will never be able to fuck him again without thinking about how I did it better." If Chrissy was this turned out just by Y/N's words, she had no idea how she was going to survive being touched by her.
"don't be nervous, I'll take good care of you my pretty girl."
Y/N was touching her everywhere, her thighs, stomach, back, chest, and her neck. Her kiss was passionate and heated. Her tongue was a weapon and Chrissy didn't stand a chance at winning.
Y/N threw Chrissy on the random bed, no care for the sinful acts they were about to do on it. Chrissy was moaning just by the way Y/N was peeling off her wet panties. Hissing at the cold air hit her clit. She was fully naked, minus the heels, and Y/N stood fully clothed. The power she felt like Y/N had over her made her hot and moan pathetically. Y/N smirked as Chrissy's body shook in pleasure, not a single touch laid to her yet.
Y/N crawled on to the bed, positioning herself between the cheerleader's legs. Staring at the pretty pink and soaked cunt. Y/N swiped her tongue from Chrissy's hole all the way up to her clit, twirling her tongue in circles around the sensitive bud.
"oh fuck." Chrissy moaned, her head throwing back and manicured nails digging into Y/N's hair. Y/N sucked her index and middle finger then slowly pushed them inside Chrissy's cunt, eyes closing at how tight she felt. She wanted to start slow, feel Chrissy out and give her time to adjust.
"more, I need more." She whined.
"Just a greedy little thing aren't you. He must not fuck you good, does he?" Y/N teased as she slipped a third finger inside, watching as Chrissy's cunt opened up wider and swallowed her in.
Chrissy could barely answer, shaking her head against the sheets. Puffing out air and she shook against Y/N's head.
Y/N faked pouted in empathy, but began to suck on Chrissy's clit, hard.
"OH GOD!" Chrissy had never felt this way before. Her cunt was filled with Y/N's fingers and she still felt like she needed more. Her clit was pulsing against Y/N's mouth.
Y/N watched as the girl lost herself in the feeling. Her eyes closed tightly, her glitter eyelids clenching. Her mouth opened as she gasped for air and let out tiny whimpers. Her back arching as Y/N hit a deeper spot. Her nipples are hard against the cold air. She's never seen Chrissy look so beautiful before.
"I need to cum." Y/N smirked as the words left Chrissy's lips. Edging her even closer, fingering her harder and lips never leaving her clit.
"YES. RIGHT THERE. FUCK!" right before she was about to feel Chrissy's cum land on her tongue, she pulled away. Yanking her soaked fingers out of Chrissy's cunt.
"what?" Chrissy yelped as she sat up the best she could, her body still lightly fucked out.
"I said I was going to ruin you and fuck you. I never said anything about letting you cum." Chrissy should have known she would play dirty. Her eyes weren't kind and there was a reason.
"please Y/N, please." She tried to beg, hips bucking into the air. Eyes glistening in tears, hands gripping the sheets as hard as she could to compose herself.
Y/N silently stripped off her dress, removing her tights and kicking off her sneakers. Unhooking her bra fast. Chrissy felt her mouth water and cunt clench watching as she stripped herself almost bare. Nothing left but a tiny piece of underwear covering the one spot Chrissy wanted to see.
She demanded Chrissy to sit up, she followed no objections. Y/N took the spot on the bed, laying herself down.
"you want to cum? Then ride my tits like a good girl and make yourself cum."
The look in Y/N's eyes weren't kidding. Chrissy was only going to cum if she did it herself. With a huff and a huge whine she straddled Y/N's chest.
Placing her clit against her right nipple, moaning at the feeling of pressure being added to her clit again. She rocked her hips slowly against her nipple, feeling it hardened underneath her.
"that's it baby. Ride me." Chrissy moaned as she held on to Y/N's arms, rocking her hips harder and faster. Pathetically humping her chest just to get an orgasm.
Chrissy never thought when she met Y/N that she would later be soaking her chest with her own wetness. The way she glided so easily against Y/N's skin because she soaked it. She felt herself getting closer but a part of her didn't want it to end. What if this was her only shot?
She looked into Y/N's eyes, seeing a look of desire and lust. Chrissy could barely hold on. Gasping to herself.
"I'm gonna cum. Please." She whined, head throwing back as she thrusted herself harder against Y/N, moaning as she felt her orgasm reaching it's breaking point.
Within seconds it shattered, she was spazzing on her chest, thighs shaking and her hips barely moving in a pace. Just aftershocks throwing her body against Y/N second after second.
Her body was glistened in sweat and her insides were on fire.
"you're so fucking gorgeous." Y/N said as she smiled. Watching Chrissy's body come down from her orgasm, sliding herself off. Seeing the streaks of wetness laying on Y/N's chest. She felt her eyes roll in the back of her head when Y/N swiped it on her finger and tasted it. Moaning at the taste of Chrissy.
Chrissy just needed to kiss her again, feel her lips move against hers. She leaned down and pecked her lips softly. Y/N smiled and sat up, cupping Chrissy's cheek and deepening the kiss.
Y/N was right, she'd never go back to Jason now.

Getting ahold of a money tree doesn't mean that you change. (Eddie Munson x reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: You, Eddie, and the rest of the Corroded Coffin are childhood friends, I guess the correct word is were. You and your parents lived in a trailer next to Eddie's uncle but after your dad's company took off, everything changed. Well not exactly. You never changed but Eddie thought that you did.
(The Upside Down all the monsters do not exist but all the characters are the same and alive. The Byers didn't move to California because I said so)
Warnings: Swearing, bullying, threats, stereotypes, some angst (maybe? what counts as angst?), confessions (apparently it is a warning now)
Word count: It's over 3000! (I honestly have no clue)
Also, this was going to be longer and I will add or post another part sometime around... I don't know when
Today is the day. Today is the day you were going to confess your feelings for Eddie. Having a crush on your childhood friend since you were 7 has been hard, as you have kept it a secret for 11 years. It has been especially hard when you realized that your simple crush on Eddie had blossomed into love when you were 15. Prom is only a month from now and you didn't have a date. But hopefully, by the end of this night, you will. But if he didn't want to go that was fine too. At least you would have a boyfriend.
"You got this girl." Cheered Chrissy quietly. Oh, Chrissy. She has been your friend since middle school. She was your first girlfriend, well technically your only one. Even with your popularity, it was still lonely. Fake smiles, fake laughs. Nothing felt real to you. Only Chrissy. And Eddie. God… you miss Eddie.
While Eddie was your first friend, you were his first girlfriend. You used to live in the next trailer over to his uncle, Wayne. He was, and still is, a dear friend to your parents. When Eddie came to live with his uncle, you were the first one to welcome him to the trailer park. At first, he was weirded out that a girl, a pretty one too, was talking to him with an actual smile on her face. But after a smack at the back of his head from his uncle and a little scolding, he thanked you. And then it was over. You two became best friends. He later introduced you to his band members and friends. They too were weirded out by a girl being nice to them but they quickly warmed up to you.

This is it. You thought, trying to settle the butterflies in your stomach. You lightly tapped on his leather and jean-clothed shoulder.
~~
"Um, Eddie." Your voice made everyone halt in their actions. Gareth and Jeff stopped talking. Dustin and Kevin stopped mid-bite. Will and Mike stopped writing. Eddie stopped breathing. So many thoughts were running through his head. What were you doing at this table? Why were you talking to him? and most importantly, What did you want? The two of you hadn't talked since your last Snow Dance where you had taken Gareth as your date as you had already gone with the other 3 Corroded Coffin members, starting with Eddie.
"What?" He turned around in his seat only to come face to face with your tits. You were the shortest one in the cheer squad which meant that you were the one that was tossed into the air the most. It always worried him. Even if he tried not to care about you, every time he saw you getting tossed during practice and barely caught every single time, he had to force his legs to stay put and not run over to you to ask, to beg that you quit the cheer team before you broke your arm or leg or even worse, your neck.

Clearing his throat, he stood up so that he could face you so that he could concentrate on your eyes, your beautiful e/c that he could just drown in and he'd thank you for it, instead of your tits that he wanted to touch, to squeeze, to burry his face into. He wanted to lick and suck on them until they were covered in purple and blue hickeys- and he has officially lost his damn mind. Geez, Munson. Horny much? He thought to himself.
While Eddie was trying and was most likely failing, to suppress his urges to fuck you until you weren't able to move your legs, you were raking through your brain to come up with anything to say. You didn't just want to shove the note into his chest and run out of the cafeteria like a coward. But since you couldn't think of anything to say, you did exactly that. You shoved the note into his chest and ran away, Chrissy not far behind.
He touched his chest because, ow! That hurt. He had luckily caught the note before it hit the dirty floor. On the folded note were doodles scattered around everywhere. Your drawing skills weren't the best, yet he still found them adorable. He could see it in front of him, you poking out your tongue in concentration. Trying not to fuck up the drawing. He opened up the folded paper as carefully as he could as he didn't want accidentally rip it.
Tumblr media
While your drawings were a try-hard, your handwriting was beautiful. In middle school, you shared the same classes until Eddie moved to high school. His handwriting back then was atrocious, sometimes even he couldn't read what he had written. You had offered to write notes for him after he had failed his third test in a week. He never brought a pen to class again if he wasn't taking a test.
His uncle and your parents had been called in twice because the teachers had thought that Eddie was bullying you into writing his notes for him. You told them that you didn't mind because you love writing and you had the same classes. After the adults had been called in a second time, Wayne forced him to clean up his handwriting.
When it was your turn to start high school, you were never in the same room again. Your paths never crossed. When he had second lunch hour, you had first and vice versa. That was until now. He had failed to graduate twice and now, you shared the same classes and the same lunch hour once more.
Just like back in middle school, you always sat in the middle of the classroom, visible but at the same time not. You never raised your hand and never spoke unless the teacher called your name. You never stood out, until you changed.
"What does the note say?" Asked Dustin innocently. He had heard stories from Gareth, Jeff, and Kevin because Eddie had always refused to talk about you in any shape or form. If he had, he wouldn't have been able to stop himself. If he had talked about you, maybe he would have been forced or forced himself to talk to you again.
The little hope Eddie had that this note you had shoved in his chest was genuine was crushed when he saw Jason and two of his closest friends Andy and Chace, smirking at him. He quickly put the note in his black lunchbox that was covered in dents, trying his best to start forgetting about it. "Something unimportant."
Gareth, Jeff, and Kevin looked at each other with unsure eyes. They knew what he was thinking. They knew that he was going to mess up, and when he does, they weren't going to stay quiet anymore. They have watched the two of you longing for each other for far too long.
~~
"Do I look okay?" You asked for the 10th time as you checked yourself in your hand mirror again. Does my make-up look okay? Is it too much? Is my hair still looking alright? It took nearly two hours to fix because you couldn't decide how you wanted it. In the end, you settled for two small braids on either side of your bangs. Eddie used to always find a reason to play with your hair when you braided it in any way. Hopefully, he would do that tonight.
"Girl trust me. You look amazing." Chrissy reassured you for the 100th time. "His jaw is going to drop to the floor so fast that it'll break." You looked down on your outfit. You had an oversized Metalica t-shirt that covered your butt with 2 inches to spare, a pair of fishnet pantyhose, black combat boots, and to top it all off, a leather jacket. You looked good… you hoped.
Chrissy glanced back at her boyfriend to make sure that he didn't hear you before she leaned close to your ear. "Are you wearing the set I gave you?"
You groaned. Cheeks heating up and glowing bright red through your foundation. "I hate that I told you my cup size." You glanced down at your wristwatch that your grandmother had given you before she passed and gasped at the time. "You need to leave. He will be here in 10 minutes." You pushed your best friend towards her boyfriend and his car.
When Jason saw that you two were done talking he hopped into his car and started it. If it were Eddie, he would have opened the passenger door for the girl before he hopped in himself. You rolled your eyes at Jason. What a gentleman he truly is.
"We will come back in 2 hours. Hopefully, you won't be here still." Giggled Chrissy. You slammed the door shut in her face.
~~
At 5.55 pm he arrived, only to see you standing outside of the dinner already. He parked himself a bit away, far enough that you don't to see him but close enough for him to hear any conversation you may have with any of your friends that he knows is hiding somewhere close by. To catch you two together, to watch and laugh at him for thinking he had a chance with a cheerleader. For thinking that he had a chance with Y/N L/N, the richest, the prettiest, and one of the most popular girls in school.
At 6 pm, you checked your watch. He saw the way your eyes lit up and your smile widen. From out of the inner pocket of the shiny leather jacket, you pulled out a hand mirror and checked on your make-up and hair. Why did she look so excited when the clock struck 6? Why were you trying to look good when this 'date' is just a joke to you? He thought. Well, he had to admit that you looked pretty tonight, beautiful even. He had always thought that.
You started biting your nails at 7 pm. As the clock ticked by, you suddenly started a pattern. Walked around the small parking lot. Stop. Pull a hand through your hair. Bite your nails. Look down at your watch and repeat. Over and over and over again.
8 pm rolled in. You had stopped checking your watch. Stopped biting your nails. Stopped walking around the parking lot. You just stopped. During these 2 hours, Eddie had begun to wonder if this wasn't a prank at all and if you had actually asked him out. If that were true… No. That couldn't be. It can't be.
8.05 pm. Eddie couldn't see your face anymore as your head was tilted down. H/C locks covered your face completely. A sudden gust of wind danced through, carrying your locks with it, uncovering your face for just a second. But that second was enough for him to see you. Eddie's eyes widen in horror as the light from the streetlight captured your wet and shining cheeks as the tears flowed down.
"Fuck." He jumped out of his bulky van, and almost threw himself to the ground with how fast he left the vehicle. "Idiot. You're such a fucking idiot Munson." He had just walked around his van when a sports car, that looked very much like Jason Carver's, came to a halt right in front of the now, cold and heartbroken girl. The passenger door was the first to open and out of the car jumped Chrissy, looking very excited.
"Hey, girl. I see that you are still here. Is Eddie inside paying for the meal?" She greeted her second hand with a beaming smile, ponytail bouncing as she skipped over to her best friend. She stopped in her tracks as you let out a sob. "What's wrong?"
You threw yourself into Chrissy's arms as you cried your heart out. "He- He never showed."
Chrissy nearly shouted out a; "What?" not fully believing what she had just heard.
"I knew that Eddie wanted nothing to do with me, and still I gave him that fucking note." You pulled away from Chrissy's embrace far enough to dry your tears. You didn't want to ruin her jacket like your ruined your friendship with Eddie. "I hoped that he missed me. That he missed our friendship as much as I do."
Jason let out a huffed laugh "He's just a freak Y/N. There are tons of guys who are better for you."
As much as Eddie hated it, he had to admit that Jason was right. Why would you settle for someone like him? He couldn't graduate. He wasn't smart or popular or a jock. He was nothing compared to any of the other guys in high school. So many wanted you and he knew that. He had seen the guys ask you out every day, some gave up and some still haven't. Andy and Chace were one of those guys who haven't given up yet. They took turns asking you out almost every single day. Eddie suddenly found the ground very interesting as he wallowed in self-pity and hate.
A hard slap echoed into the silent night, quickly followed by a howl of pain. "What the fuck Y/N?!" Screamed Jason.
Eddie lifted his head in shock. Did you just slap Jason Carver? And he missed it?
"He is nothing like you! Or Andy or Chace!" You yelled. "He is nothing like any of the other guys at Hawkins. He is Eddie, my Eddie!" "My Eddie!" kept echoing in his mind. After everything he had done and not done, you were still calling him yours. "You did something didn't you?" You accused Jason as you jammed your ring-dressed finger. Eddie nearly did a double take. Were you wearing the ring that he had given you before he asked you to the Snow Dance? "You must have said something to him and that's why he didn't show up."
"If you two were to get together, you would lose your status. Lose your friends and respect with the cheerleaders." Stated Jason matter-of-factly as he got into your face.
You clenched your jaw and Eddie could have sworn that he heard you growl. "THEN I QUIT!" Eddie's eyes widen at the harshness of your voice. He had never, ever heard you scream or yell like that. Both Chrissy and Jason took a step back in shock. He had almost forgotten that she was there as she had kept quiet the entire time you and Jason argued. "I don't want to be surrounded by people who can think so little of others who happen to be a little bit different."
Jason scoffed at that. What? Can't handle the truth? Eddie thought a smirk threatened to grow on his lips. "You've changed Y/N. You don't belong with those freaks." Jason was trying his best to reason with you but his frustration kept growing while his patience kept shrinking.
"You have changed Y/N. You don't belong with those freaks." Jason was trying his best to reason with you but his frustration kept growing while his patience kept shrinking.
"I am the same as I was 10 years ago! The only thing that changed was my dad's money status!"
Eddie hissed at that. He knew that it was the truth, his heart knew that you haven't changed. But his mind wouldn't let his heart control him. It wouldn't let him stay by your side in fear that you would one day change and become like the other rich kids that started to hang around you. When puberty hit you so beautifully, the cheerleaders and jocks befriended you and you joined the cheer squad.
Your family becoming rich didn't change you.
Becoming a popular cheer girl didn't change you.
But he was still afraid. He started ignoring you. He stopped talking to you, and he treated you just like the rest of the rich and popular kids in school. Your mutual friends Gareth, Jeff, and Kevin were just as afraid of you changing as Eddie and started to follow his lead even though it hurt them.
Jason threw his arms in the air in frustration. "Okay, so you haven't changed. Hip hip hooray. I still don't understand why the fuck you would ask the freak out on a date?"
"Because I love him!" It was as if the world stopped spinning. The wind stopped blowing. The clock stopped ticking. You love him? You, Y/N L/N, love him, Eddie Munson? "I am in love with Eddie "The freak" Munson!"
Fuck. He messed up big time. You had asked him out and he let you stand outside of the Dinner all alone for more than 2 hours, thinking that you were pulling a prank on him. He should have known better. He should have fucking known better. Deep breath Eddie, deep breath. In and out. It's time to grovel. With his newfound confidence, he walked out of the shadows toward you.
~~
You heard his chains clinking together and got a whiff of the lingering scent of weed before you saw him in the corner of your eye. "E-Eddie?" Your eyes widen in shock. You dried your wet eyes and cheeks as quickly as you could and combed through your hair with your fingers so that you didn't look like a total mess in front of him. "Wh-When did you get here?"
He took a deep breath before he looked into your eyes. Okay, confession time. "I've been here the whole time."
Before you could even open your mouth to ask him what he meant, he continued. "I'm sorry!" He didn't look away from your eyes. He needed you to see the honesty and love his eyes held. "I thought that the girl I have loved for so long, who grew up with nothing and suddenly had everything," He took a step closer towards her. His confidence was quickly depleting but he managed to get out what he wanted to say before he averted his eyes from hers and bowed his head. "I thought you wouldn't want to be with someone like me."
Your eyes soften and your heart clenched up in sorrow. "Eddie, look at me." When he didn't move a single inch to look back at you, you gently took his face into your hands and tilted his head up. "I've had a crush on you since I was 7 and I've been in love with you since I was 15." When his eyes widen and his mouth fell open, you let out a giggle.
"It's true." Pipped Chrissy up. "I've read her diary many times."
"Chrissy!" You gasped.
She ignored you and continued to talk to Eddie. "If she's hiding something from you, just come to me and I'll tell you."
You let go of his face and took his hand instead and started to drag him away towards where Eddie had come from. "Ookay. We are leaving." That seemed to have woken Eddie up.
"But I want to hear all about your little secrets."
"There are a lot of dirty ones~" Giggled your so-called best friend.
"Chrissy!"
~~
I'm sorry if this was bad. I think that I have lost my writing skills. (or maybe I didn't have that skill, to begin with) It was supposed to be longer, and have some smut, but I just can't come up with anything. I mean I have the dialog but not the actions or anything else in between. I hope you liked it still...
I think I need a writing buddy. Where can I find one?

Watch Me.
billy hargrove x female reader Part 1.
content: underage drinking, mentions of cheating, mentions of rape and death, told as a story!, a lot of 'past-self degradation'.
i wasn't going to make this anything like the way it is? and i wasn't going to make it a 'series' but i figured otherwise it would be really long trashy thing lol.
Tumblr media
I had to replay this story in my mind over and over again. And the story I am about to tell you is the one about the horrible, idiotic little sin of mine called cheating. It's stupid, don't do it.
Hi, I'm Y/n. I go to Hawkins High, I'm on the cheerleading team, I'm popular, I'm.. or was dating Mike Lewinski. I had no fucking clue what was wrong with me or why this kid peaked my interest. But here's a little how it all went down, okay? You're going to be me in this instance.
—♡—
So here's little old you, watching some random guy with a cigarette laying limp out the right corner of his lips, unlit. His shirt is slung over his shoulder rather than being worn. He was standing with some man before the man he'd been standing with starts yelling at him, entering the passenger side of a car and slamming the door before the car leaves.
What was wrong with this guy? You'd think to yourself as you watch the guy you'd originally had your eyes on finally light the cigarette, taking a drag. You'd figured he was just some dude who wasn't from here. It was a small place, Hawkins, so having never seen him before meant that he must be visiting.
You quickly realize the next day that he is not just visiting when you see him exit the blue Camaro that loudly parked near the red vehicle you'd been leaning against with your friends.
"Who is that?" Carol asked with a smirk on her face. You were confused, especially when you saw that little red head leave the car almost angrily. And when you noticed that his license plate said California on it.
"I have no idea," Tina begins before she looks me in the eyes, then back at the boy "But would you check out that ass? Look at it go." She'd giggle.
You were more than just confused, you were invested now. Hadn't had an idea who this was but you knew he was new to the small town, from California, he was being yelled at and left by some old man on the side of the road. Oh, and he smokes cigarettes. Real important information, huh.
You'd soon find out that the anonymous boy is called Billy, Billy Hargrove. Though you found out that his name was actually William when your Chemistry teacher was calling attendance.
Now you were more confused. Why did people call him Billy? Where did that even come from if his name is William.. He'd peaked your interest to say the least. He was constantly on your mind.
Then your air quotes boyfriend (who was really just your friend who you've known since you were three because of your parents) slung an arm around your shoulders, "Hey." He'd smirk down at you and walk with you as you made your way to your locker.
"Steve?" You'd begin and he'd hum. "Do you know that new Billy kid? Who is that?"
You figured "King Steve" would know who that is, right? He knew everyone.
"I don't know anything about him, his name is on the basketball team sign up sheet. Other than that, no." Steve would explain when Nancy walked over and he got distracted by his real girlfriend.
Soon you found Mike Lewinski, who was your real boyfriend. You'd ask him the same question to which he'd answer something along the lines of "No clue but he picked a fight with this random kid earlier for talking about a girl named Maxine or something."
You'd ponder on who Maxine could be, probably his girlfriend. That's what you'd assume, but it made no sense. You didn't know her, she didn't go here. So how would other people know, and be talking about her.
Nothing about him made sense. Nothing. Your life at school had been so normal for so long, and suddenly this random guy steps foot into your school and you're invested in who the fuck he is. It's got you going crazy.
You'd be at home doing your makeup, getting ready for the damn party Tina was hosting for Halloween night and all you could think about was that stupid pretty little boy called Billy.
Your boyfriend came and picked you up and you got there in your stupid little slutty cat outfit and danced with Nancy and Steve and your little boyfriend. And guess who was there? Billy.
He'd finally left your mind for just a little bit when you'd been drinking and having fun. Of course you see that stupid pretty face of his when you're with Steve and Nance, drinking, what else would you see?
"Looks like we've got a new Keg King Harrington!" "Yeah, beat it Harrington." Two drunk morons would say on either side of Billy as he'd get in Steve's face.
Oh that was just great, he was an alcoholic too. Keg King? Are you fucking kidding me right now? He just got to this school today, how the fuck did he even get an invitation to this damn party.
You were livid, you pulled Nancy by her arm and refilled both of your cups before bringing her to dance.
Later that night Steve would spill a drink on her then the night would be ruined for them blah blah. They broke up. That was the end of that little love story.
You'd see Johnathan who was one of the very few people who weren't drunk at this stupid party that your idiotic self decided to go to and told him to bring Nancy home.
They left and now you were pretty lonely and hadn't known where your boyfriend was. For all you knew he could've been blowing some girl upstairs right then.
You were so tired, so drunk, and so fucking stupid when your drunk ass bumped into that mother fucker Billy. You were done.
"Why are you everywhere I go? Who are you?" You'd say, slurring over your words and lightly tapping his sticky, sweaty, stiff bare chest.
"Billy." He'd smirk at you and you'd grimace.
"Billy, I have a boyfriend. You're cute but I don't think cheating is my thing." You'd laugh like an old drunk idiot and fall into him.
You were so drunk. So fucking stupid. Because ten minutes later you were being carried bridal style into your home by pretty boy Billy. Of course! Who else would? Your boyfriend? No.
He'd sit you down on your bed sitting in your bed room that you instructed him on where was. You were lucky your parents weren't home, because they'd kill you for finding you that drunk, nevermind with some half naked boy you just met.
He'd slip off your shoes and take off your dirty, slutty skirt, leaving you clad in your underwear and black tank top. You were so ignorantly drunk.
"Hey," You'd start. And now I wish that you never would've opened your stupid mouth because the next thing that came out of it was "Stay with me."
What are you doing? You don't even know this dude! He could rape you, or kill you, or tell your boyfriend that he slept with you in your bed.
But come to think of it, if he'd hadn't raped or killed you yet, I don't think he would have just because you asked him to stay the night.
"Curfew, sweetheart. I can't." Which thank the lord because I today am grateful he said that.. it's been years.
You'd meekly thank him the next time you'd see him at school which was only the next day, closer to the afternoon when you had Chemistry with him. You were glad he never told anyone about what happened, because things get around quick.
"What happened last night? You went home early?" Mike would ask when he found you at your locker, placing a kiss on your forehead.
"Felt sick, someone brought me home, can't remember who though." You'd smile and close your locker and head out of the school.
You lied, but you didn't care. You focused more on picking up your shit for cheer practice and making it back to the school to prepare for the game that would be happening next week.

Chapter 46.    Epilogue
Summer was in full swing in Hawkins, Indiana, which meant only one thing, a pool party. Graduation had been late because of everything that had happened, but every senior who had returned had been given a passing grade no matter what. However, despite the fact he would have been passed anyway, Nancy and Robin had made sure Eddie did more than scrape through.
Steve had honestly been amazed how well Eddie did when he had two people tailoring his revision to the way he learned best. He was pretty sure Eddie had been more than a little surprised too.
The actual graduation had been weird because of how many memorials were included. Eddie hadn’t carried out his plan to flip off Higgins but had worn one of the commemorative pins for Chrissy on his gown. Some of the basketball team hadn’t seemed to like that, but Eddie had stared them down and dared them to say anything. It had been a moment to cherish.
Steve thought his boyfriend had looked so very handsome walking across the stage. He’d borrowed his dad’s video camera to record the momentous occasion, along with Robin, Nancy and all the others in their group who were graduating too.
All of them were here along with the kids, enjoying the sun and the pool. There was still that weird mark in the concrete at the bottom of the pool, but the water was clear and fresh now.
All the older adults had decided to skip the chaos of teenagers and a pool by taking up Hopper and Joyce on an invitation to a more sedate grill out at their place. Steve could sympathise since the kids were screaming and playing like the teenagers and one not-quite-a-teenager that they were. Not a care in the world for once. El was even using her powers to cheat at several of the games being played, much to Erica and Max’s delight and the boys’ chagrin. Her antics made Steve laugh out loud, even as he kept a silent eye on her to make sure she wasn’t damaging herself.
He was still exploring his own abilities, but since El seemed perfectly happy to open up to him, even sitting on a lounger just watching, he could keep a light connection, just in case. Not that she was pushing it. She gave him a bright smile every now and then.
Eddie was currently over by the grill talking to Jeff. Steve had had every intention of handling the grill himself, but when Jeff had arrived and seen it, the way Jeff’s eyes had lit up had said it all. Turned out Jeff was a dab hand with fire and meat and had been utterly overjoyed when Steve had let him take over. The smells coming from that direction were divine and Steve’s mouth was watering.
Gareth and Frank were heckling the kids from the sidelines of the pool. They had slotted into the group really well since the debacle in the spring and Steve was pretty sure Eddie had trained up Gareth to take his position of putting jocks in their place at the high school, since he was the only older one who hadn’t yet graduated. Not that he would be alone, given that Dustin, Will, Mike and Lucas made a formidable backup. Which didn’t even mention El and Max. Although Steve also had an inkling that El might turn out to be the sporty type given a little push.
Nancy and Jonathan were sitting on a couple of the loungers talking quietly. They’d had a bit of a rough patch after Jonathan had admitted he hadn’t applied for the school he said he had, but they seemed to be over that now. Steve had kept out of it since it wasn’t his business, but he thought they seemed happier for having been through a crisis that didn’t involve the Upside Down and come out the other side stronger.
Nancy didn’t seem quite so driven now. She was still focused, but there was a definite change in her that Steve was pretty sure was for the better. Whether it had been her near-death experience or just that the danger was finally gone, he didn’t know. He was just happy for her.
Argyle was one lounger away from the couple, chatting animatedly to Robin about something Steve wasn’t even trying to comprehend. Steve still didn’t really understand Argyle very well. The guy came from California, had stolen a pizza truck from there, but didn’t seem remotely worried about going back, or returning the truck. All Argyle had said when Steve had broached the subject was ‘Oh, it’s all cool, Brochacho, don’t you worry.” Argyle also seemed to have a never-ending supply of weed. He had become the go-to man these days around town, since Eddie had quit the business.
Owens had given Wayne and Eddie an actual house, and Wayne had a new job at the lab as one of Hopper’s security people, government benefits and all. So, it had been easy for Eddie to decide he didn’t need the extra cash his sideline brought in. It made Steve breathe easier at least. The idea of Eddie being in the line of fire because of an illegal side gig would have given him sleepless nights.
Since Steve had helped Eddie and Wayne move in, Eddie spent half his time at Steve’s and Steve spent half his time at Eddie’s. They were using the excuse of Eddie’s condition and Steve’s unique ability to fill that need, but he was pretty sure a few people suspected it was more than that.
The kids had become used to them being together a lot. Rather than Steve and Robin, it had become Steve, Robin, and Eddie.  Steve was still working on making that Steve, Robin, Eddie, and Vickie, but Robin had yet to make her move. Robin had been using the excuse of not having time what with catching up on schoolwork and preparing for graduation, but that was all over now, so that wasn’t going to fly anymore. If he could, he would have done the hard part for her, but all he could do was support her and hope she eventually got up the courage.
He was hoping the trip to San Fransisco, which would be happening at the beginning of August, would help give Robin some courage. Meeting some bona fide older queers should give his platonic soulmate some hope at least.
He and Robin were still working at Family Video, which had had a successful reopening, especially because people seemed to want to come in and see the local celebrities. Steve had only complained a few times about that. After everything, Robin had decided to take a year out before choosing what she wanted to do next. They each had a nice little nest egg thanks to government compensation, so she had wider options than she had had before, if that was the way she wanted to go.
Steve still had little idea if there was anything in particular he wanted to do. He still had the option of higher education since the colleges he had applied to for music were willing to hold a place for him. The whole hero thing hadn’t hurt with that at all. In fact, a couple of the places who had turned him down for business degrees had even been in touch. Those he definitely had no interest in.
So much had changed in just a short span and the only decision he had made was to take his time with any of the bigger ones. His mom had just told him to let her know if he needed her help with anything.
The only solid choice he and Eddie had made was that they wanted their friends to know the truth about their relationship. That was the one plan they had for the pool party. They were going to come out. They’d decided as soon as they realised all the older adults would be elsewhere. It wasn’t that they didn’t want some of them to know, like Joyce and Hopper and Claudia, but there were others who were definitely not on the need-to-know list.
“You’re looking thoughtful,” Eddie said as he wandered over, perching on the edge of Steve’s recliner.
“Just enjoying everyone being here,” he replied. “It feels … soothing.”
Eddie lifted an eyebrow and glanced at the chaos in the pool.
“You call that soothing?” Eddie asked.
Steve grinned.
“Yeah,” he said, “because it’s just fun. There’s nothing hiding in the background. It’s happiness.”
“Are you getting philosophical on me?” was Eddie’s immediate response, narrowed eyes and all, but he couldn’t keep it up, grinning back in moments.
“Don’t get used to it,” Steve responded.
“I would never,” Eddie said, hand on his heart.
“Did you put sunscreen on?” Steve asked, looking at how Eddie’s nose was already pink.
“Oops,” Eddie said, “I got distracted. Can you fix me?”
Steve rolled his eyes, but reached out and took Eddie’s hand, closing his eyes. It only took a second as he let his instincts rise. When he opened his eyes again, Eddie’s nose was back to its pale normal.
“If you forget again and turn into a lobster in the pool, I’m not doing it again,” he warned.
Eddie pouted. Steve knew he so would heal his boyfriend again, he couldn’t bear to see Eddie in even slight pain, but he bit his lip, so he didn’t say it out loud.
“You know I’d make it worth your while,” Eddie said, leaning in close and whispering in his ear.
“You’re the worst,” Steve replied as he felt a blush begin creeping up his face.
“But you still love me,” Eddie said quietly.
“You got me there,” he acknowledged.
That confession had come in the middle of finals when Eddie had been going slightly mad with it all. Steve had managed to blurt it out completely by accident, but since Eddie had been kissing him within an inch of his life and immediately returned the sentiment, it had all been for the good.
“So, shall we tell them?” Eddie asked, glancing around the yard. “Is it time?”
Steve followed his boyfriend’s gaze. Nerves fizzled in his stomach, but there was no outright fear. Some of the kids could be entitled twerps at times, but he didn’t think any of them would take it badly.
“I think it might be,” he replied. “How do you want to do this?”
They had talked about it, but there was always room to change their minds. He wanted to be sure they were both on the same page for this. When Eddie’s face suddenly broke into what Steve could only describe as a wicked grin, he began to worry a little more.
“What?” he asked.
“Well, I was just thinking,” Eddie said, “we could always tell them, but it’s going to take us at least ten minutes to get their attention.”
Steve nodded, that much was true.
“So maybe we could just show them,” Eddie suggested.
“How?” Steve said carefully.
“Well I couldn’t help noticing how delectable you looked sitting over here,” Eddie replied, “and it would take a stronger man than I to resist such charms. I could straddle your lap and we could make out for a while, see how long it takes them all to notice.”
“Just kissing,” Steve said.
“Totally PG,” Eddie promised, eyes alight with mischief.
Steve couldn’t help smiling too as he let the idea sink in.
“Show me what you’ve got, Munson,” he said, smile morphing into a grin to match Eddie’s.
Eddie needed no other permission, standing up and quickly returning to kneel over Steve. As Eddie leaned down, Steve leaned up and their lips met in a sweet little kiss. It didn’t stay sweet for long.
Steve heard someone choke on their drink as he and Eddie deepened the kiss, but he was too busy to figure out who. Keeping his hands in PG places took concentration, because he was usually allowed to touch wherever he felt like. Not that he was complaining too much because he loved Eddie any way he could get him, even if it had to be family friendly.
“Well that’s one way to do it, I guess,” he heard Robin say.
And slowly all sound from the yard ceased.
“What the fuck?”
That was definitely Mike.
“I told you, didn’t I tell you!”
And that was Dustin, because of course it was.
“Yet you still sound surprised,” and that was Erica. “How did you not know this?”
“Do you think they noticed?” Steve said in a loud stage whisper as he and Eddie finally broke apart.
His boyfriend just put his head back and roared with laughter.
There were going to have to be explanations, and actual talking, but it was all going about how they had expected so far.
“Oh my god, he’s going to be insufferable now.”
And that was from Gareth, which was the final prediction. Eddie found that even funnier.
All was good with the world.
The End

I know the ZKs were mad when Mike confirmed on the podcast that there was nothing romantic between Katara and Zuko in the crossroads of destiny. That it was just empathy 😂
And it's not like we needed anyone to confirm something that obvious.
The one time they were not hostile with each other before Crossroads was when the Gaang + Zuko and Iroh teamed up against Azula. And even though Katara did something really nice when she showed compassion and offered to heal Iroh after Azula blasted fire at him, Zuko was NOT moved by her compassion, and in fact lashed out at her and her friends just for being near him and Iroh - aka the one person there he actually gave a shit about and had not been fighting side by side with just because it was convenient.
Crossroads happen, it's a nice moment - that also included Katara saying that up until that point she had pictured "the enemy's face" as Zuko's face, which makes perfect sense considering he has been trying to kidnap her best friend, and put her, her brother, their tribe, and a bunch of innocent people in danger. For fucks sake, before they both let their guards down a bit, Katara calls him a horrible person and she 100% means it. Why wouldn't she? We saw Zuko do kind things and show remorse/doubt, she did not.
And after such a meaninfull moment what does Zuko do? Immediately teams up with Azula, his sister/rival/enemy, and helps her capture Ba Sing Se for their father - who disfigured and banished him, and whom we later find out in The Day Of Black Sun that Zuko legit thought might have killed his mom. Even that guy meant more to Zuko than Katara did.
And who does Zuko repeatedly mention, visit, and eventually begs to forgive him after his betrayal? Iroh. Again.
And whose kind words of "we could have been friends" does Zuko explicitly bring up when he tries to join the Gaang? Aang. The guy his story is constantly a parallel to. The actual first person to trust him and give him a chance.
And, of course, after his "romantic moment" (according to Zutarians) with Katara, the next episode shows Zuko in a relationship with Mai. And once he is forced to leave her, yeah, he was kind of a douche by breaking up with her through a letter BUT he did feel the need to explain himself to her, to give her a proper goodbye, he even says "I'm sorry, Mai", and looks like a dumbass in love when he brings her up during a conversation with Sokka.
What was the one time he seemed to even remember Katara's existence before joining the Gaang? Oh yeah, when he remembered the water from the oasis and realizes she could have used it to save Aang - meaning Ozai would be mad at him. Even the ONE time that interaction with Katara crosses his mind without someone else mentioning it to him, it is still all about his feelings for a completely different person.
As for Katara, she also didn't bring Zuko up once. She was busy talking things out with her dad, travelling and getting into trouble with her friends, and worrying about the war - ya know, the one Zuko pretty much helped his father win, and yet she didn't mention him at all.
And when he joins the group? She naturally doesn't trust him in the slightest, and says that she will make him pay if he hurts AANG again. Pretty much stating that her anger at him is not because they had any kind of deep, meaningful bond (be it romantic or platonic) but because he was responsible for her nearly losing someone she loved - much like his nation took her mother from her, something she explicitly told him about, which must have only twisted the knife further.
Because of all of this, I wouldn't give a damn if Mike and literally everyone else involved in creating the show had said that the scene in Crossroads was meant to be romantic - the actual story and characters clearly show that was NOT the case.
Zutarians can cry about it all they want, but Zuko and Katara's bond starts in the second half of book 3, and it's clearly platonic. Any romance, or even friendship, that claim existed before that was only in their heads, not in the actual story.

Focus [Mike Morton x ADHD!Reader]
Genre: Fluff
"Focus, unfocused, but on you I'm ever focused."
TW: none
Tumblr media
<3
It had been several months since you first stepped into the manor. When rumors said it was a dead-alive game, you found it quite relaxing and even friendly outside the battlefields.
Every day you would wake up and participate in matches, you often visited the hunters' side after matches hour had ended too. You held no grudges against them, neither did they. On the other hand, you were nowhere close with your teammates, having suffered from ADHD, it's extremely difficult for you to form a proper bond especially with your bad memorizing skill and you constantly zoning out.
Survivors, all vulnerable they seemed, but it's easier to break apart a mountain than to actually befriend some.
.
.
"No more failed calibrations..." you thought to yourself after getting electrocuted twice, whenever you failed one, your decoding progress would be decreased by 20%, however, that effect could be trippled up. You ran your fingers across the dusty metal keyboard, cursing at your own divided attention.
"Seems like you are having a hard time to concentrate, (Y/N)?"
Your attention was immediately drawn to the Acrobat who stood right next to you.
"Oh god, Morton you scared me!" You breathed out heavily in frustration and relief at the same time. He was the closet "friend" to you among the survivors so there was almost no worries of being scolded.
"Can I decode with you? I haven't had any chance to gain another fireball and Margaretha has already shooed me away. I don't think the hunter is nearby now, is that okay for you?" He asked with a smile.
"Sure." You were much assured and settled down.
When the cipher you were working on was almost done, you heard Jose screamed "The hunter is near me!" but then you saw the red spark on your right.
Which meant The Ripper had teleported to your machine, at that very moment, it popped. You ran to the pallet next to you and threw it down.
"Focus on decoding!" That was your final message before looking back to find Jack trampling the pallet.
20 seconds had passed...
40 seconds had passed...
Then 60 seconds...
2 more ciphers to go and you were stumbling in your half- health state. Suddenly something caught your eyes, it was Margaretha's slow music box. For other survivors, that would be a great kiting place but you, you were so drawn to it that you forgot to turn around. The hunter mercilessly knocked you down and destroyed the music box.
"Sorry..." you cried out, and yet another machine was done.
Jack hummed and picked you up, he then headed to the nearest rocket chair.
"Don't worry I just want to test something."
You were left speechless. Jack didn't bring peepers nor camp the chair although he was at risk of losing.
Odd. He wasn't the type to admit defeat so easily.
Eventually, Jose came for the rescue but then he was targeted instead of you. On your way back, you heard a familiar voice.
"(Y/N)! You okay??" He called out,
Instead of healing you right away, Morton pulled you into his tight embrace and asked if your injuries were too bad. You wanted to burst into tears, but then calmed down right away to let Morton heal you. His touch always melt your anxiety away, it was so gentle.
Later on, Jose was captured and the last cipher was ready to be popped.
"He is quite near the other gate now, I still have tide turner so let me do the rescue." You stood up then headed to the rocket chair immediately, you swore you saw Morton pouted a bit.
Your team could have a 3-escaped but a terror shock turned the table.
After Margaretha was sent back to the manor, you were the last survivor, desperately searching for the dungeon. Unfortunately, you were discovered and knocked down not long after.
"Little one, you ran right pass the dungeon over there." Jack chuckled lightly. "I have something to tell you so please come with me." He carried you to where the dungeon was located and put you down.
"We all know Mike Morton, the Acrobat, is such a skilled actor, but I did not expect him to be that obvious."
"Wgat do you mean by that?" You tilted your head, hand holding your aching head.
"Oh dear, if you really haven't figured that out then I shall let you know, that boy has something for you, quite a sight indeed." He hummed. "I suggested that you meet him after this match. Have fun."
The match ended with you being the only survivor who escaped, you didn't understand a thing that Jack had told you earlier, partly due to your lack of concentration. Strangely, it kept circling around your mind. Without realizing it, you were looking at Morton sitting at the dining table when you arrived at the lobby.
"Are you focusing on me? That's rare." Morton smiled.
"No."
"Oh."
"Well actually yes but no."
"Are you up to something (Y/N)?" He asked.
"Oh, right.. I gotta ask you something." You blurted out, whilst trying your best to not get distracted.
"Sure, but first, the next match is starting soon so we'd better retreat." He walked away, waving his hand to catch your attention.
In a second, you caught it. Morton flinched at the sudden contact but he let it be.
"Uhm, Mike?" You spoke up.
"I like it better when you call me by my first name." He smiled.
That adorable thing just blessed your soul but in change, increased your heart rate which make you stammer.
"So, uh, a certain someone told me that you had feelings for me, I wonder if that was true." Instantly regret it when you caught his gaze, he was facing you.
His eyes widened, Morton put his palms on your shoulders.
The flashback of the match kept your mind thinking back and forth. Completely unaware until Morton pinched your left cheek.
"Listen (Y/N), I know you get along quite well with the Ripper but you shouldn't always believe in what he said to you." He replied. "But this time, you should."
You froze in place for a few second, you were focusing on him, on Morton.
"You don't know how much I gotta say I love you to express it." He then cupped your cheeks with his hands, forcing your face up to look at him. "You are listening right?"
"I am, you have my full attention everytime you look at me like that." You pecked his cheek playfully, earning a small gasp and a blush from him.
Too busy on your thoughts, yet again you were brought back by him. But this time, it was a kiss.
It's hard to stay concentrated, but you felt your yeyes never wanting to leave him.

Author's note: No one, but me editing my draft all the way back in August 2021 at midnight 🤡👏 I fucking love Mike Morton and I won't deny it, happy Halloween y'all ✌️✨👻 I don't actually have ADHD, more like short attention span only so if this seems too unaccurate, I'm very sorry.
P/S: I have 25k frags and ready to drag his S skin pack home by the collar 🤌

Hihihihi, If you’re okay with me requesting something, can you maybe write Steven and/or Mike (separate if you write them both plz :DD) with a Reader that somehow managed to become a Champion with only like.. A Blastoise and a Charizard on their team where they got from god knows where? If it’s possible, can it be written after Miki’s death yet before Mike’s death? For some reason I find it funny to imagine a random trainer with only two starters on their team absolutely wrecking everybodys shit,,
can do! i was originally gunna assume u meant write as in like write an actual short story but then i realized u said to make them separate so. HOPEFULLY you did mean a sort of bulleted headcanon shortform post more than an Actual Piece of writing. which honestly if so good im not that good at writing short stories quickly or efficiently. hopefully these r good bc i didnt know much of what to write.
these are platonic which i hope is okay. anyways, this feels lackluster but i hope it suffices </3
anyways, steven and mike with a champion who only has blastoise/charizard!
READER
( this is just stuff and headcanons for the reader that add additional context or backstory bc i wanted to also think abt them as a character a bit, but whether you accept these or not is up 2 u lol )
• you probably got both a charmander and a squirtle from professor oak because somehow he gained more starter pokemon this year than he needed, and they were too rowdy to handle. therefore, you got two, since somebody already took the bulbasaur of the new batch of starter mons. who? idfk. maybe your rival if you have one.
• your two starters are at odds at eachother a lot, but in the end they do get along, they just tend to bicker. sort of like siblings ( lol ). playfully competitive with eachother.
• both of your starters are fucking powerhouses and nobody knows why - they probably evolved early and are naturally stronger than other starters - either that or you're just a particularly skilled trainer. this isn't undocumented, after all there did used to be a charizard who was a powerhouse. But you know. Used To.
• if you're the champion of kanto, which i'd assume that's the case, you either fought mike, lance ( bc tbh mike after the incident would've probably also willingly refused to become champion again after steven retired from the role after the incident ), or someone entirely unrelated ( like your rival if you have one ). your choice tbh.
• this is something i just considered After finishing this but if you also grew up in pallet town you probably actually knew steven and mike and were even friends with them which isnt written in any of these but thats a spin on it you can think abt if you want to. imagine if you were and you named your respective starters after both of them that'd be so awkward
STEVEN
🔥 dude this mans depressed as hell rn and i think when he hears or sees you with the starter he chose and with the starter his brother who he couldn't stand to think about right now chose... he just goes "The audacity of this bitch." in his head.
🔥 ok not really he's not that rude but it does remind him of himself and mike... both in positive and negative ways. you remind him of himself before the incident, which makes him sort of long for that kind of thing back. but hey, if you become the champion, it means the league would probably get off his back and hopefully forget about him. which is good. ( if you're even the champion of kanto. )
🔥 he didn't really know anyone else who had a charizard other than him, so seeing your own charizard made him remember miki. which of course, made him even more sad at the thought. he's really just processing several things and your presence complicates it for him a little... has complex feelings about you despite not really talking to you. if you did happen to be the champion of kanto, you'd've fought mike or someone entirely different, not steven, since he released all of his pokemon - and even if he didn't, he would never want to stay the champion without miki... so he didn't really know you, probably - but you may've seen him during one of his regular Depression Roams around the region, or even bumped into him, since he didn't really have any spacial awareness when he takes aimless walks around kanto like that. he'd just mumble an apology and move on, probably. if you were one of those trainers who often had your pokemon follow you, he'd probably just wordlessly stare at both of your starters, especially your charizard, and then excuse himself and walk off a little faster.
🔥 he finds you beating the elite four and the gym challenge with only two pokemon impressive but he also essentially did the same thing*. he still finds it impressive its just... you did things similarly to him. you reminded him of too many aspects of his life and it felt weird.
*its technically implied that steven had more than miki on his team in the pokepasta but i like to think it was mostly for hms, possibly pokedex stuff, and progression, so he basically solo'd kanto w miki
🔥 although if you become good friends with steven, somehow, he will become very friendly with you and your two pokemon. obviously, your charizard would never replace miki... but having one to pet and play with did help out with his depression a little bit. he thinks miki would've liked your pokemon if she were still here. the two's sort of playful rivalry between eachother also reminded him of himself and mike, and furthermore miki and... whatever the hell mike named his blastoise.
🔥 honestly you being there if you did befriend steven did... surprisingly help him a lot? it didn't make everything suddenly better, but having a real alive charizard, even if it did sort of remind him of miki, made him smile a little. he appreciates your presence and sometimes invites you to just take a stroll around with him. he didn't have any pokemon and all pokemon oddly avoided him, but with you around they seemed to no longer do that... maybe they realized he seemed to feel better? sometimes he just idly plays with the wild pokemon when he's around you and bored. he possibly even catches one as Emotional Support. i like to think it's an eevee bc its technically a starter and im biased.
🔥 if he were in a better mental state he'd probably brag about how miki could take both of your pokemon on despite having a pretty clear disadvantage. he'd probably be right tbh miki was built different, but it'd be a close battle were it to ever happen. he wishes he met you earlier.
🔥 assuming you did befriend him, fun fact you probably helped him enough for him to not eventually go find a missingno at the dead of night and also snap mikes neck. this is a win. he's still pretty closed off, depressed, and awkward, but he's at least trying to get better now.
🔥 if for some reason you wanted him to he'd essentially babysit your pokemon for you. i don't know why they'd have to be babysat, they're grown starter pokemon and they're possibly the only ones you even have ( which would be dangerous to go without ), but hey the offers open ( he just wants an excuse to play w them to get things off of his mind tbh. )
🔥 randomly gifts you lemonade and coffee, which he has a startling abundance of. it's an excuse for him to throw away all the gifts people give him because he does not want that shit ( ... mostly. he keeps a bit of the coffee ).
🔥 if you're around steven, you'll be around mike at least a couple of times. steven intentionally avoids mike nowadays, but you'll probably cross paths, especially if steven invites you to his house.. mike appreciates that you hang around his little brother a lot, and will sometimes talk to you, but will immediately try to leave the conversation when he hears or sees steven. so . Woops. steven probably also shittalks mike to you sometimes if you ever bring him up but he'll probably never explicitly mention The Incident, just imply it ( eg saying things like "...Don't keep your Charizard around him." or something ). he doesn't want to talk or think about mike, especially not around you.
🔥 he takes fucking terrible care of himself. he probably has spent a week / multiple days in the pokemon tower in front of miki's grave and he barely sleeps or eats. i think your blastoise and charizard would also notice this and like push him to a bed or try to nudge him berries or something. please make him eat he rlly needs it.
🔥 overall he thinks your interesting, but you remind him of a lot of his life before the incident... which makes him nostalgic and sometimes a little sad. but he grows used to it.
🔥 the steven section of this is literally just him going "Man. This reminds me of Miki and Mike and that makes me feel shitty." and im sorry abt that bc i didnt know what else to add (*&^% steven's not in his best state rn so its harder to write him having any sort of reaction that isnt like that </3. i tried to make it a little more lighthearted at the end but ya
MIKE
💧 mike on the other hand is slightly less depressed ( slightly ) but he still got pretty scarred from the incident. he still tries to be his same energetic self but that is clearly a lot more faltered than it used to be. he usually stays home a lot more often, while steven goes out a lot more often to roam the region and pay his respects.
💧 he thinks you having both a blastoise and a charizard is dope! Unfortunately, it also reminds him of miki because god knows seeing that charizard die right in front of him due to his persistence did negative things to his psyche. i think he's even more dodgy and awkward around your charizard than steven is since steven absolutely blames mike for that whole thing and he knows that and also sorta blames himself. he's afraid he'll hurt yours as well.
💧 HOWEVER. with the blastoise. he'll be like "SAME STARTER???" and hi-five you and he'll let you twos blastoises play w eachother. they get along suuuper well which hes happy about.
💧 he also thinks you being the champion is funny in a sort of morbid way since you straight up just have both him and steven's starters, so the pokemon league effectively had a replacement for both of them. obviously steven and mike had more pokemon than those two, but those were their aces. which, he guesses worked out. he didn't intend to become champion again because he really wasn't in the right mindset for it anymore, so that's fine w/ him.
💧 since he did not release all of his pokemon like a certain someone ( sorry steven bullying you is funny ) nor had one of them die he can fight against you and happily will. mostly to take his mind off of things
💧 he's also been taking horrible care of himself similar to steven, just in a bit of a different way - sleeping in too much and not eating that much. he feels guilty if you help him out with this but its appreciated if you do. just your presence helps, though.
💧 steven is sometimes hanging around, usually against his own will - he'll catch you two doing something together, and he'll also probably see your charizard sometimes. it sort of pisses him off that mike can just Go on with his life and be happy ( mike isnt entirely happy, he's just doing better ) after he "murdered" miki. aaaand that makes the whole atmosphere tense and reverts mike to being a little dodgy and nervous again. the only thing the younger brother has ever said to you is something along the lines of keeping your charizard away from mike. Sibling drama moment ig.
💧 due to this steven's kind of a dick to both of you if you chose to hang around mike. thankfully, steven's usually out nowadays to pay respects to miki's grave and roam the region aimlessly, and he isn't often even in his and mike's shared home anymore. if you try to hang out w them both equally it would make everything so awkward and tense between the two and they'd eventually fight over your friendship, probably - the person starting that being steven, since mike's content with him also being your friend even if it's awkward.
💧 loves to tell you the tales of his adventures. he loves recounting his happy memories and events of his adventures, the pokemon he caught, and battling steven - even if steven sort of hates him nowadays. he'll encourage you to swap stories and tales from both of you twos adventures since he's very interested in how you yourself handled the gym challenges.
💧 unfortunately choosing the Mike Path ( trademark ) will probably make steven eventually kill him still especially if in this hypothetical you don't really talk to or care abt steven much, so take that how you will. that's angst material that im not writing bc this post and all posts i make are already too long.
💧 there is also a chance that you hanging around mike ( especially if u also hang arnd steven ) might make steven just straight up not do that due to the fact you'll probably be around, or in the best option possible he sort of reconciles with mike a little and slowly gets less and less vengeful about it because of you being friends with the both of them. having a third party who didn't just pity the two and offer them apologies and items was helpful, after all. he'll still be very awkward and mostly negative with mike though, just not As much.
💧 overall mike is very happy to find someone to talk to since steven sort of... stopped being social with him or anyone. he finds your methods interesting
i feel like these were sorta lackluster bc its hard to tie in this prompt when both of the brothers are in Depressive Episodes but i hope my attempts were good ! ( also god i really have to condense my writing but i almost physically cant ) anyways ty for requesting - wispy

“who’s all coming tonight?” auston had made it his day’s mission to follow around carter everywhere she went, so she thought she might as well ask while he was there.
it was the first time that day that she had been the one to initiate a conversation, so he was ecstatic. he proceeded to list some of the players that would be over at his house, along with some maybe’s and a handful of people he hadn’t asked yet.
“will there be drinks?” was her only response to him, and he stopped in his tracks when she said it.
she stopped as well, a look of slight terror taking over her face. she was stood there wide eyed, pulling her head back while he was smiling like an idiot.
“there will- yes. yeah, there will be drinks” she chuckled awkwardly at his strange response, nodding and taking his current state of whatever this was as an opportunity to walk away from him.
she made her way over to the first person she saw, which happened to be ramsus, who had been sharpening his skates and listening to music.
rather than do anything normal, such as tap him on the shoulder or wait to grab his attention, she pulled the headphones off his head and was met with a confused side eye. “sorry. i’m carter, the new media lead. can you please pretend that we are having a very important conversation about hockey things”
that did not come out like it was meant to, but ok.
luckily, he laughed, and started talking about random nonsense until auston was in earshot, and he quickly realized why she had been in such a hurry to acquaint herself with him.
“how many questions have you been asked?” she pursed her lips, practically feeling the alternate’s presence behind her as she thought about it.
“this hour? about twelve hundred and eight. give or take”
-
when carter knocked on the door to auston’s condo, she almost wanted to bail. the walk there was fine, but hearing the chatter from inside the home come to a complete stop after her gentle knock on the door made her want to crumble into the patterned hallway carpet beneath her and leave town again.
she looked petrified when auston opened the door, a stark contrast to his look of glee when he realized she’d actually showed up.
“hey, c. was starting to think you weren’t gonna come. c’mon, let’s get you a drink” she hesitantly followed him in, trudging behind him to his counter where he opened a cooler and told her to take her pick.
she eyed the container before leaning down and grabbing a mike’s hard - something light she was familiar with and she knew wouldn’t make her do anything worth regretting.
before they made their way to what she assumed was the living area where everyone was surrounded with boxes of pizza, cooler and beer, she made direct eye contact for the first time since they’d met.
“you gave me a nickname” he grinned down at her, nodding happily and ghosting his hand over her back to lead her over to where the rest of the guys were.
“i never got the chance to ask what people called you. from your team” she paused for a moment, fighting back the smile at the memories of her last time on the ice.
“stick. my last name is walker” she clarified before he could ask where the name came from, and she caught the way his face scrunched. she was praying that it was because of her strange nickname, and not because of her name in general.
before he could ask, she found herself a place to sit and cracked open her can, taking a gulp.
-
in hindsight, it probably would have been a good idea to go home along with the ‘older’ players about an hour ago, because the younger ones had the peer pressure capabilities of high school jocks.
the one mikes that carter thought would leave her with hardly a buzz turned into several tall boys, an unknown amount of beer from many rounds of a makeshift pong game, and two shots.
currently, her right arm was linked with none other than michael bunting’s as they competed to see who could chug another beer the fastest.
she was having more fun than she would like to admit, something that in the morning would give her nothing but a lethal amount of anxiety. would she remember everything she had done? would she do something stupid and be the only one to remember?
those were thoughts for future carter, though, because she beat michael by a hair in their little competition and now she was celebrating by jumping into the arms of auston matthews and downing another shot.
“you having fun?” she nodded, wiping her mouth from the remanence of beer from her cup and slowly squirming down from the position she’d somehow landed in their hug.
“why did we bring out shot glasses again? that was a bad idea” she held the hiccup that was threatening to come out to hear his response.
“i brought out the shot glasses so you would stop being so anxious. also, preseason starts in a few days and i’d be damned if i didn’t come out of the offseason having a little fun” she giggled, dragging him by the shirt to where the cooler was and picking herself up another beer.
everyone was laughing and having fun, michael was trying to redeem himself by kicking mitch and alex’s asses in beer pong with mac, and carter felt like she didn’t need to be looking over her shoulder for the first time since she’d walked out of her old house.
she could only hope that feeling would be constant in toronto - during times like this, sober, at work, at her apartment, doing things a young girl with a healthy life would do. everywhere.
auston had been watching her so closely, and her name had felt so familiar, that the lurking ideas in the back of his head, whether they be of distrust or lust, were gone.
he could only hope that she would stay comfortable like this once she was sober, that they could be friends, that he could still find out anything there was to know.
-
carter woke up in a bed. not her bed, and thankfully not anyone else’s bed either. there was a solo cup filled with water along with a bottle of tylenol on the bedside table next to her, accompanied by a note.
don't freak out. you’re in my guest room
                                                        ,auston
she almost wanted to be offended that he could already read her so well he knew she’d panic, but she was more grateful that there was already water at her disposal, so she ignored it.
she eased herself up into a sitting position and eventually managed to read the back of the pill bottle to see how many she should take. rubbing her face, she got up and waddled over to the door across from her which she hoped led to a bathroom.
she refilled her cup with more water and then lowered her face down to the sink to splash herself with some, sighing at the much needed cooling effect.
she slowly opened the main door to the bedroom and tiptoed to the kitchen, where auston, michael and mitch had already been sitting with cups of coffee. she looked over to see rasmus and timothy laid in opposite directions on the couch and mac on the loveseat, while william was sprawled out on the floor with auston’s dog.
she didn’t say anything, but nodded to austons hand instead. he vaguely gestured to the cabinet where he kept the mugs and she grabbed one, filling it with her desired amount of ingredients to have a reasonable afternoon coffee.
“kerf went home?” she whispered, not wanting to hurt her brain or anyone else's with her normal tone.
auston nodded, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. “harvard’s a little less moronic than the rest of us when it comes to straight shots of tequila. he got an uber”
she swore she almost fell back asleep on him as she sipped her coffee, the three guys chatting quietly. auston tried his best to include her, to see if she’d be less uptight after last night, but she would just mumble responses and slip out of the conversation.
he guessed he’d just have to keep trying.
the rest of the guys woke up one after the other, starting with timothy and rasmus when they had accidentally kicked one another, then mac, and finally willy when felix had decided he’d had enough sleep and walked on top of will’s torso to get over to auston.
auston ordered breakfast through doordash and everyone was currently sat on the couch, surrounded by cans and solo cups and scarfing down their food.
they had been talking about the night prior, thinking back on fun moments or their favourite part of the night that was meant to be a close to their offseason, and michael pointed at carter
“were you in a frat in your past life? who is that good at beer pong after three rounds of kings court?” carter smiled at the comment and swallowed her bite of food, setting her takeout plate on her lap.
“my ex was a business major and all of our friends were hockey players. i was in a frat in this life, unofficially. or maybe you all just suck at drunk hand-eye coordination” auston chuckled, wrapping his arm around her shoulder and ruffling her hair, while everyone else gave her joking looks of offence.
“don’t laugh, matty. i carried your ass, you suck too,”
he was still smiling, because she was smiling. she was comfortable and making jokes and that’s good enough for him, even if he’s part of her punchline.

EDDIE POV
I sat in the bleachers next to Mike and Dustin praying this would be over quick. I wasn't exactly the type who enjoyed coming to pep rally's, but Y/N was a cheerleader, and I'd give any excuse to see my girlfriend dancing around in a miniskirt, even if it meant other people got to see her too.
After an extremely boring speech from Jason, I heard the loud cheers of the people around me as the cheer team ran out into the gym. Y/N looked as gorgeous as she always did, and I couldn't wait for this to be over so we could leave, since we pre-decided on ditching the rest of the day.
"And yet you still have a C in Spanish." I heard Dustin saying to Mike causing me to furrow my eyebrows. "What are you two idiots talking about? I asked. "Well, I'm sure if you'd stop gawking over Y/N for five seconds, you'd know." Dustin joked backed.
"Oh, ha-ha, you're so hilarious Henderson. I mean can you blame me though?" I said looking over at him. As soon as he opened his mouth I put my hand up in front of him "Ah. Don't answer that, I don't want to have to murder you." I said, laughing.
Dustin just rolled his eyes before turning back towards Mike to argue about who had a better girlfriend, even though it was clearly me who had the best girlfriend.
After what felt quite literally like an eternity, the pep rally ended and people started getting up from the bleachers to leave as the basketball and cheer teams left to the locker rooms. I stood slightly outside the girls locker room, with some distance in hopes of not looking like a creep while waiting for Y/N.
Within ten minutes the door swung open to reveal Y/N and one of her only actual cheer friends, Chrissy Cunningham. "Bye Chrissy!" Y/N shouted as Chrissy started walking towards the gym doors before turning to me. "Hey." She said smiling while I pulled her into a hug.
"Hey." I mumbled back into her hair. "You did great." I said nudging her shoulder "But you should totally wear that little skirt more often." I finished, winking at her. She scoffed while playfully hitting my chest, "You are disgusting Eddie Munson." She said while trying not to smile.
"Me? Nah. I'm just saying, you do look really hot in that skirt." I said while swinging my arm around her shoulder as we began walking out of the gym. "Sure." She replied back while shaking her head as we made it out to my van.
"So, what do you wanna do today sweetheart?" I asked as I hopped into the drivers seat. "Hm, we could go by the Family Video Store and rent a movie to watch back at your place." She said smiling over at me. "Ok, as long as we can rent like A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 instead of The Color Purple, because I think I might die if you make me watch it again." I said looking back at her with my head thrown back.
"Ok, fine whatever, but you have to give me some of your clothes when we get back to your place, these jeans are killing me." She whined back. "Why are you making this the deal like I don't love seeing you walk around in my clothes." I said, rolling my eyes while backing out of the parking lot.
After running into the Family Video Store and then all the way back to my place, Y/N and I were finally ready to watch the movie. She actually caved and let me get A Nightmare on Elm Street 2 and I was so excited to watch it. Not only did I know it was gonna be a killer sequel, Y/N was also pretty much a baby when it came to horror and I loved when she'd lean in closer to me during the scarier scenes.
"Ok, can you give me clothes now, I might die if I spend another second in these jeans." She whined as she fell back onto my bed. "Stop whining, why do you even wear them if you hate them so much." I asked, turning around to her as I grabbed a t-shirt out of my closet, before moving to my dresser where I kept my sweatpants.
"Because, I think they make me look nice." She said in a duh tone. "Well, they definitely do make you look nice." I said as I threw the clothes on top of her, before plopping down on the bed beside her. She turned her head so she was face to face with me before leaning in for a kiss. "Thank you." She said smiling as she stood up to change clothes.
I was planning on just staying in my same position and not invading her privacy, but as soon as I heard her shirt hit the floor I was leaning up on my elbows. I was just about to make some random sly comment when I noticed a small tattoo? right on her rib cage, under her bra. "Uh Y/N?" I said, causing her to fully turn towards me. "Yea?" She questioned.
"What's that?" I asked, looping one of my finger around her belt loop to pull her closer to me. "What's what?" She said sort of confused. I released my hold on her belt loop to bring my hand up to graze over what looked like a tattoo reading Metallica in the font their band usually used for posters or shows. But the Y/N I know almost detested tattoos. I mean she liked mine, but she always said she'd never get one because she claimed she'd probably regret it by the time she was 80.
"Is this a tattoo?" I asked, moving my hand to hold onto her waist while looking up at her. "Oh, uh yea. Do-Do you like it?" She asked a bit nervously while looking down at me. "I mean of course, I love it but why'd you get it now? I thought you were against having tattoos." I said.
"Oh." She said sitting down beside me. "Well, you know when Metallica first released their music in 82' my dad said they were so gonna be the next big hit." She said starting to play with her fingers "And, now with the recent release of their Master of Puppets album, they are. I mean they sold 3 million copies, but he's just not here to see it, so I guess I got it as sort of a tribute without it looking like a cheesy tribute tattoo." She ranted.
I nodded, looking at her with a sad smile. Y/N's dad was definitely her best friend, he taught her everything she knew about Metal and DND, but he died a year ago in a car accident while Y/N was away visiting her mom. She would be 18 soon, and with all the money her dad had left her, her mom let her stay in Hawkins to finish school, but she wasn't ever exactly the same.
"Well, I personally think it's pretty hot." I said, pushing against her shoulder with mine, trying to lighten the mood. She looked up at me with a big smile "You really think so?" she said biting her lip to keep from smiling to hard.
"Uh, yea I mean you're a super hot cheerleader who knows how to play DND and has a metal band tattoo, can you get any more perfect." I jokingly asked while swinging my arm around her shoulder and slightly leaning over to kiss the side of her head. "But what if I, you know, hate it when I'm 80?" She said looking over at me. "Well then I'll be there to remind you how hot it is then too." I said shrugging while looking over at her.
"Now, finish changing so we can go watch the movie." I said, slightly pushing her off the edge of the bed while I stood up to go get the movie ready, but as I was walking out I turned around grabbing onto the molding around the door, "Oh and Y/N, he'd definitely think it's a pretty rad tattoo." I said winking while she just smiled back at me with slightly teary eyes.
A/N: Just to be clear I do NOT detest tattoos I just made Y/N that way so Eddie would be surprised she had a tattoo. Also, I posted this a bit ago on Wattpad before volume II and it and when he casually played Master of Puppets I was feeling like a psychic.

Professor Rice | Chapter 8

Declan’s POV
“I can’t believe you told her that you like her'' Mason said. He was suspended for today’s match, so I was going to go with him to watch it from the stands.
“Me neither, but I just couldn’t stand seeing her looking so sad and knowing it was all my fault.”
“And you were hoping she would like you back even if you can’t really act on those feelings now, right?” he smirked.
“Maybe…” we both laughed.
As we walked to our gate, I thought I saw a redhead walking in the opposite direction. And that meant I was going crazy. There are more redheads in the world, Declan. And she doesn’t like football, so why would she be here wearing a Chelsea scarf?
Veronica’s POV
I couldn’t believe I let Mike bring me to a football match. But here we are, Jo, Mike and I wearing our Chelsea scarfs (well, Mike was wearing the entire store. Who has Chelsea socks and wears them in public?) and heading to our gate. I was told there was good food. I really hoped that wasn’t a lie.
When we sat down in our seats, I looked at the players who were warming up. As per Jo’s requests, we went to the Chelsea-Everton match, and I could see that Jo was staring at Calvert-Lewin. I couldn’t blame her, but I was too busy trying to find where Mason Mount was.
“Hey Mike, which one is Mount?” I asked.
“Oh, he’s not playing today, he’s suspended.”
Huh, well, that was a bummer.
When the match started, I tried to look at the player’s names on their shirts. Number 21, Chilwell, was kinda cute, not gonna lie. But it was Kanté that Mike always praised, so I tried to find him.
The match ended with a 2-1 win to Chelsea. The Kanté guy Mike loves didn’t score, but everyone kept on talking about how amazing he was. Football is weird.
Mike also wanted to show me the ground, so we walked around while he explained everything to me. I loved seeing him so excited about things. If I had known me coming to a match was going to make him this happy, I would have done it years ago.
By the time we were done, most people were already gone, so we were about to head to the tube when I heard my name being called.
I think I know that voice…
Mason’s POV
“Veronica?” I yelled again. That’s her, right? Or am I just yelling at a random redhead?
Both she and her friends turned around to look at me, but it was the guy she was with who reacted first.
“Oh my God, it’s Mason Mount!”
“Mason, hi!” Veronica said. “I didn’t expect to see you here.”
“You didn’t expect to see me at Stamford Bridge? Where the team I play for was playing today?” That was a bit mean, but I couldn’t help it. Veronica blushed and her friends laughed. “I’m here with Declan” I said.
“Declan?” her friend asked, Veronica looking at me with an expression that showed me this guy had no idea about what was going on.
“Yes, babe” her other friend, the guy’s girlfriend I guessed, said. “Declan is Veronica’s professor. The one who is friends with Mount.”
“Right, that makes sense. So... can I take a picture with you? You’re my favourite Chelsea player” he said to me.
“Of course.”
“I thought your favourite was Kan… Ouch.“ He elbowed Veronica so she couldn’t finish her sentence.
After I took a picture with Mike and Josephine, who was actually really cute, I saw Veronica staring at me.
“Do you want a picture too?” I asked, knowing that wasn’t what she wanted from me.
“Um... no, thanks. I was just wondering where Declan was?” Of course you were, darling.
“He’ll be back here in a sec. We met some old friends from our time in the Academy and he’s talking to them.”
She nodded, and I had to take this opportunity to help my best friend. “Hey guys, why don’t we go to have a coffee or something once Dec is back?”
Veronica’s face was hilarious. But she knew her friend Mike wasn’t going to allow her to say no. Mike was saying that, of course, they wanted to do that, while Josephine whispered something in Veronica's ear. She nodded to her friend.
I turned to see Declan walking towards me and realizing who had joined me. He looked exactly like Veronica did when I offered them to go to have a drink. Soulmates!
“Look who I’ve found!” I said to him with the biggest grin on my face.
“Veronica, hi! And... Josephine, right? Good to see you again.”
“Hi. Yeah, good to see you too” Josephine said to him. “This is Mike, my boyfriend. Mike, this is Declan, Veronica’s professor.”
Dec shook hands with Mike. “Hi, mate. You alright?”
“Yeah, man.”
“Ok” I said to get their attention. “There is this place around here where we can go have a drink. Should we get going?”
“Yes!” Mike said enthusiastically. And so we were on the move.
“Oh look!” Josephine said. “A squirrel!”
“It kind of looks like you, Mase” Declan said to me.
“Shut up” I said, pushing him.
“Squirrels are kind of cute” Veronica added.
“You think so?” I asked her, and she nodded. “Then thanks for the compliment, bro. It seems that Veronica thinks I’m cute.”
“I didn’t say…” But I couldn’t hear what she was saying because Declan slapped the back of  my head, which made me laugh.
They are perfect for each other, and I won’t stop until they get together.

how i’d fix tdroti (this is mostly just an idea dump for now and it’s easily subject to change):
the overall season is longer with more reward challenges sprinkled in. that way, we get to know the characters more. also the first episode is a two-parter with the first elimination in the second episode.
more friendships and positive interactions between the girls PLEASE. some friendships i want explored include (but are not limited to) dawn/dakota, jo/zoey, and jo/anne maria (though i do think the last one is more of an enemies-to-friends kind of scenario where they come to respect each other over the season).
just… more friendships and duos in general other than the mike + zoey + cameron trio pls. there’s so much potential. lightning and sam. cameron and b. brick and dawn. brick and anne maria (!!!!!).
i want staci to be kinda rewritten so that she doesn’t just lie about her great-great-great-grandma inventing the wheel or smth. i want it so that she lies more about other things and how she’s greater than she actually is. have her lie about her accomplishments or skills (“oh yeah, i’m totally an expert at…”) and then when the time comes to prove herself, have her… kind of back out. i feel like if it’s shown that she lies out of insecurity and inadequacy (especially since each contestant has something unique about them), it’d make her more than just the “annoying character who’s meant to go first” yknow. i mean she’d probably still go home first but you get what i mean.
i also want zoey to be rewritten so she’s more of the “indie chick” she is. what i mean by that is that she should be a bit more openly judgmental and that’s the reason why she can’t make the friends she desperately wants. i mean it already happens in canon but i want it to be more pronounced/notable yknow. her emotional journey would be to realize that all the jocks and preps she dislikes are essentially people at the end of the day, and that she has to open up to other people even though they don’t share her niche interests. basically kind of like gwen but still more bubbly/friendly. she’d also wear glasses.
mike is… a difficult subject because of how badly his character was handled in the original. i don’t have did, so i can’t say much about how i’d portray his did more realistically (ik it’d be easier if i’d just write him out; however, i def know there’s a lot of ppl with did out there who like him and have rewritten him to be more realistic…so i’ll look into that). that being said, i do feel like his (base) personality can be rewritten. he’s shyer, more withdrawn, nervous, and secretive. he has trouble standing up for himself and doesn’t like having a lot of attention on him (which makes working in teams difficult). i also feel like his outfit would be different; he’d wear a baggy hoodie and can occasionally be seen with the hood over his hair.
i think it’d be interesting if dawn basically kind of acts as everyone’s secret psuedo-therapist. she may be odd and kind of invasive when it comes to reading auras, but she’s a nice person who really just wants to be helpful and provide insight.
^ characters that i feel like she’d try to help/befriend based on this (with varying levels of success): zoey, mike, dakota, brick, jo, scott possibly
^^ i also think it’d be interesting if her and scott were either long-term enemies or frenemies
dakota did not need to get mutated midway through the season ok.
^ that being said, i think it’d be interesting to potentially explore the effects of the toxic waste on the other characters as well. like what if cameron got mutated instead? what if dawn’s powers were enhanced? what if lightning got lightning powers fghdshfdjsk there’s so many possibilities
scott does NOT get put in the trauma chair at the end of the season.
jo makes it to the top 2 💋
anyway these are all i have so far but i may add more later

Now I believe that when the writers said they were going to do a time jump, what they actually meant was that they were going to be jumping around in time thanks to Mike's powers. I think that maybe they will go back in time to attempt to undo what was done to Henry, El, and all the other test subjects. If so, what becomes of them all in the future? Would this new version of El remember everyone?
Mike started off every season being late to something, like the white rabbit going down the rabbit hole (the Upside Down), and maybe to come full circle in season 5, he finally won't be too late.
These are just some ideas. Before today I was working with a headcanon that in the first episode, after Will left Mike's house, Mike went back inside and wrote Will a letter. I think the letter had to do with their DnD game, something about how in exchange for Will's honesty ( "it was a 7" ), Mike is going to let him in on some details of the campaign. When Will's fake body was found, Mike destroyed the letter in a fit of grief. Since the Upside Down is frozen on November 6th, the letter still exists there. I think it might connect with some element of Will's painting, and the letter fills in the gaps. Maybe Mike was inspired whilst writing the letter and came up with something new, but since the details were lost, that's why Will and Dustin and Lucas all say the campaign at the end of season 1 doesn't make sense. Something's missing. This would emphasize that Mike and Will really DO need to work as a team.
So many lines have hidden meaning. El's "in a way we are all time travelers" (Mike can lend his abilities), Mike's "we need to work together. As a team" ( Mike and Will work best together), Mike's "I'm just some random nerd" (he's really really not).
