i was kind of wondering something just today im. not sure if its a coincidence or something
allegedly- chara’s symbolic number is usually 9, to my knowledge.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
which yeah stands for completion the end of a cycle because- player allegory thing
but then gaster’s so called symbolic number is 6, to my knowledge
IF im correct his datamined stats were all in sixes(sorry the picture is blurry i cant. find good pictures)
Tumblr media
also intentional or not his name has six letters
and that if you set your fun value to 66 there’s a ten percent chance of getting the mystery man room(and he’s commonly assumed to be gaster)
six im not as sure what it means- the stuff i’ve seen on it usually ties it to love
copying this from what i typed on discord i found that uhh
“six is the highest number on a dice, a number of luck???? and also the sixth sense. people call it a. perfect number apparently huh. six is tthe card of the lovers, which reverse mmmmaybe symbolises seperation or temptation? does it mean something just wondering how all that might tie to gaster”
there’s those- some stuff i found might be misinformation but I can’t be too sure- do tell if i get anything wrong
and then take it another step and there’s the fact that gaster’s number and chara’s number- if you take either number and flip them upside down they look the same- in certain fonts. like if you took 6 and flipped that upside down, you’d get 9. its easier to see in that tumblr default font.
if i’m not wrong, this applies to the aster font as well. and the undertale font
and another small but probably insignificant similarity that they both smile?? and they can have those. creepy black eye things
i think the tl dr of all that is that chara and gaster’s symbolic numbers parallel each other in some kind of way, and with how sometimes they’re depicted being in the afterlife(????) together i just- wondered if it was something intentional or not. or if that small fact means anything.

Rat Sons AU: Character Introductions
Hamato Tang Shen
(aka the love of my life)
Tumblr media
more ramblings & doodles:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(so do yall remember how in the 03 series Tang Shen was kinda just like a passing thought with no like actual characterization besides 'is pretty' and 'dies'?? and that both the boys she grew up with fell in love with her despite being raised as siblings?
yeah we're ditching that)
meet Hamato Tang Shen, official adopted daughter of Hamato Sho (and notably his only child.) Shes an absolute mountain of a woman, buff as all get out, stubborn and quick with a comeback, and a fully trained master of ninjutsu and the mystic arts.
Despite the death of her biological father when she was five, Tang Shen's childhood was largely a happy one. Hamato Sho, being a friend of her fathers, brought her to his ancestral home in the mountains after the tragedy. Sho did his best to nurture and encourage her, in all the ways he felt his own childhood lacked— with kindness and humor, free of any burdens of destiny or namesakes.
Of course, being raised by a the snarkiest old man alive who also had a major problem with authority, Tang Shen was perhaps a bit too bullheaded a child for most of her peers growing up. She didnt mind much — the Hamato farm was home to so many loud and opinionated critters, she rarely felt lonely at all. She loved spending time with the animals, and spoke to them constantly. Especially Yoshi, the family's pet Spurred African Tortoise, who they nicknamed "Splinter" after Tang Shen made a friend at school with the same name and the confusion of it all got old. She also took to calling the tortoise Jiji, as he was even more an ancient old man than her father.
By the time Tang Shen was approaching twenty, she had settled quite happily into the life she had on the farm, content with the company of her father, their animals, and, on more days than not, Yoshi, her cute best friend (/boyfriend??).
Unfortunately, no matter how hard they tried, the Hamato family never could escape destiny for very long.
lol this is way too much for a character that is mostly ever gonna be seen in sporadic flashbacks but yall i love her sm u dont understand
did u notice its all past tense :(
[rat sons masterpost] [more Hamato family lore]
(easier to read/separated contents below the cut! (super long))
HAMATO TANG SHEN
Page 1:
Pronouns: she/her
color motif: forrest green
Born in China, moved to Japan ~age 5, moved to New York State ~age 28
Daughter of a badass mystic warrior (a Guardian?) who was a close friend of Sho
Taken in by Sho after her bio father was killed in some major important mystic conflict (Sho later formally adopted her)
She grew up on the Hamato's familial land on the outskirts of a small mountain village (Gifu Prefecture??) which Sho was partially using as a small dysfunctional farm, and partially letting become overrun by nature
This overrun area became a sort of training grounds for a young Tang Shen, where Sho taught her first basic self defense, then later all forms of ninjutsu and even the mystic arts.
When she was young, she enjoyed helping Sho raise their assortment of animals: chickens (her favorites), two pigs (Sho's favorites), an old steer, a horrible peacock (Sho's sworn enemy), and, of course, the Hamato's ancient pet African Spurred Tortoise, Yoshi
As a child, she befriended a boy, also named Yoshi, whom she immediately teased for having the same name as her family pet. They became inseparable.
She was rather ostracized by other children her age growing up, both because she was a foreigner, and because she was considered too outspoken/opinionated and known to stir up trouble when she felt something wasn't fair
Other young girls, in particular, would also bully her for her appearance, since she was taller, more muscular and broad-shouldered than most of her peers. (Sho never wanted to throw hands with eleven year olds before, but here we are)
Later on, she and Yoshi (the human, that is) fell in love
Tumblr media
Page 2:
Tumblr media
When she was small, Tang Shen loved learning to care for all the different types of animals living on the farm— even ones that weren't necessarily meant to be there, like the occasional rat, trying to establish a nest in a quiet corner of the barn.
Sho would help her catch any such critters she found, and they'd journey together into the woods or up the mountain to find a good place to release them, since they couldn't be allowed to stay on the farm.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(It was during one of these journeys that a newly-fathered Sho finally began to find his footing and connect to the young girl he took in. He had brought along some extra feed and an unneeded towel to give the rat a decent chance at settling in wherever they brought it to (and hopefully prevent it from finding its way back to the farm). But Tang Shen, five years old and only abstractly aware of why her life had recently changed so much, insisted there was a lot more the rat would need. She spoke of how lost and frightened it must be, having been just scooped up and taken to some place new so suddenly. Sho listened.)
Tang Shen developed a love of rats in part because of these little adventures she shared with her adoptive father.
As an adult, Tang Shen (having discussed it previously lol) was gifted a pet fancy rat by Yoshi.
She named the rat Miko and carried her everywhere.

Regressor!Blue Headcanons
Tumblr media
While Blue has a fairly wide regression range (dropping anywhere from infant to nine and averaging most days at a solid five and a half), he can typically tell when he's going to slip into the lower end of things. He's lucky in that there's signs he is going to drop quite low that he recognizes in himself, of course—the way the colors of the world feel too bright around him, sounds and voices becoming harder to parse and make out, or how even the air he breathes starts to feel so heavy. When his body starts sending him these signals he knows he's got to find someone to keep a careful eye on him and mind after him. Because any other time? He prefers to regress alone. It's easier when he doesn't have anyone to tell him he can't toddle after the wild Caterpie all afternoon, can't tell him that maybe three cookies is pushing it when the only other thing he's had are some carrot sticks; Blue is always on the go, has so much going on, that he thinks he deserves to relax how he wants when the stress builds up too much. Though as stubborn as he is, even he recognizes that a baby should probably have a cg around. Which is where the daycare system comes into play!
Now, of course there are plenty of daycares where a trainer can drop off their Pokémon. But what about a safe place for trainers to rest when they start feeling tiny? Regression is surprisingly common among the countless number of traveling trainers in the world, and so it isn't uncommon to find a dual-daycare that will keep an eye on your Pokémon while you get some well-earned small time. All dual-daycares are tended to by Caretaker Jiji with the help of her Indeedee, similar to how Nurse Joy and her Chansey can be found at any Pokémon Center. This is extremely comforting to someone like Blue, who is already pretty reluctant to let anyone act as his cg in any capacity; a friendly and familiar face that he can trust means everything when the world is big and confusing! And while Jiji has many cousins in the same line of work, Blue prefers to visit the same daycare when he can—specifically the one that lies outside of the Viridian City proper and hedges on the edge of Viridian Forest, canopied by the lush woods and looking the picture of a cozy cottage that promises every creature comfort imaginable.
Blue always has such a tight hold over himself and his emotions, and this naturally extends to when he allows himself to regress; no matter how little he slips on any given day, he is an expert at snapping himself back from his smallspace. Really, it's quite impressive how easily he appears to be able to turn it off and on! So when he arrives at the daycare and gets checked in? He slips seamlessly as Jiji is reminding him of the rules and the evolution stone chart he can move his magnet to should he start feeling nonverbal, going over how small he's feeling today and what snacks she's got prepped that he might like, helpfully chiming in that if he forgot anything in his daybag not to worry about that because she has plenty of extra pacis, toys, blankies—really anything he might need! Blue listens to her upbeat rambling and, finding a safety in it, allows himself to sink down as low as he needs to go in order to recharge his batteries without worrying about any judgement. Her words start sounding as if she's speaking through cotton, or maybe that's all in his head? As he's taken by the hand and led into the day room however he finds that he doesn't really need to know why everything is so muted, and instead just takes comfort in the fact that it is.
However, that ability to easily switch headspaces? It is incredibly deceiving. One might assume that that means he doesn't fall so deeply into that sweet haze of regression, but that is far from the truth. Once he's there, he's fully there. Which is why he can't exactly spend his baby days alone. And which is also why Jiji has her work cut out for her—even when Blue is the only regressor using the daycare's services, he is something of a handful to put it mildly. But it isn't his fault! He is just a very inquisitive baby! The little guy can and will crawl around and get into anything and everything he can because he's just so curious about things. There's never an intention to misbehave on his part, his mind being too fuzzy for that sort of scheming. Regardless of intent though, Blue is a master of wandering off when the caretaker has her back turned even for a second. Especially when they are enjoying tummy time outside for the day when the weather is nice. Although it helps that Indeedee can pick up on spikes in the baby's curiosity and guide him back towards the blanket spread across the soft grass (and decidedly away from the Pidgey he was going to crawl into the forest after).
Inside play is markedly a better option if only to reduce the risk of him getting lost. Blue is happy either way, though typically inside play presents him with something new and exciting: toys. Toys of all varieties are something that he absolutely adores—reminding him of how his grandfather would spoil him when he was a kid—but not something he buys for himself to have when he's regressing elsewhere. Blue doesn't get any sort of regression gear for himself aside from the bare basics/necessities. Those necessities being one sippy, one blankie, and one teether. But at the daycare? He's playing with everything. There's a Dragonite and a Charizard plushie keeping him company for the day, sitting faithfully by his side as he fiddles with a See 'n Say that has Pokémon from the Galar region. Blue pulls the little lever repeatedly until the big arrow lands on Appletun, causing a bright smile to light up his face and pulling out a breathy little giggle before he starts his little game over again, pouting when it lands on Perrserker the next go around.
Though the See 'n Say can only keep Blue's attention for so long. He's a flighty type of baby in the sense that he is constantly cycling through activities; there is no low-energy sleepy baby here! And Jiji juggles many different activities to keep Blue entertained and not cranky—once he's done with the See 'n Say it's on to watching the little puppet show she has set up, to the sensory tub filled with kinetic sand, to the picture books that she reads to him (and rereads a few times, as is the case with Woobat Goes on Holiday). There is only one activity that can hold Blue's attention for well over an hour, and once he's entranced by it Jiji lets him have at it. And just what is this paramount of playtime? Why, it is none other than the simple shape sorter! Something about watching the shapes go bye-bye, the blocks falling with a soft clack on the inside of the sorter, the sense of satisfaction...it's completely captivating for Blue given how little he is in the moment. But a crucial aspect of playing with the shape sorter is that he cheeses it. Loves cheesing it, even. The circle? Goes in the square hole. The triangle? Goes in the square hole! Do not correct him, he knows what he's doing, thanks.
Even after a long day filled with fun at daycare, Blue is still difficult to put down for a nap at the end of it all. But Jiji is a true expert in her field and never loses patience! Not to mention she has a trick up her sleeve—the guest information folder. The check-in slips that he has to fill out each time he comes in become his undoing. Looking over his file, Jiji knows the perfect nap set-up for a certain stubborn kiddo that is fighting sleep based on his responses. Indeedee is already making a blanket nest as she is gently coaxing Blue into the idea that he's going to lay down for his afternoon bottle, that he doesn't have to go to sleep but it's okay if he does. And before he knows it, she's got him tucked in with a warm bottle and his Pokédex propped beside him reading out the data entry for Sylveon. With his eyes trained on watching the Miltank mobile spin above him, Blue eventually drifts off to sleep. He'll leave the daycare when he wakes up, but for now he has a moment to sleep without any of the pressures of his life.

Tendou x Reader feat. Coach Washijo
PART 5
Tumblr media
You and Tendou have fallen into a new routine since the confession. He would come and pick you up in the morning and you’d walk together to morning practise. Afterwards, you’d go your separate ways for classes. At lunchtime, you eat with him two of the five school days, and the other three you eat with Jiji. Despite the new routine, you and Tendou haven’t exactly talked about what you two are. Which has been bothering you, so you have decided to talk to him about it tonight.
Once again you find yourself standing outside your dorm with Tendou. This time you’re the fidgety one. You’re rocking back and forth on your feet, your hands are twisting in your shirt, and your heart feels like it's going to explode out of your chest.
“Tendou, would you like to come in?” You quietly offer. He takes a deep breath and holds it, hesitating to answer. Your eyes grow as big as saucers, realising how it sounds. “No, no, no. Not like that! Just to talk. I’d just like to talk to you about something.” You watch his hands tighten around the straps of his bookbag, and he swallows down a big gulp of air. He nods and gives you a tight smile. You bite your lip and open the door, watching as he claims your desk chair and sits on it backwards. You carefully sit on the edge of your bed. You play with the hem of your skirt, and refuse to look in his direction.
“Is everything okay?” He asks, eyeing your nervous form.
“I just-we haven’t. A couple weeks ago,and now we have this new routine. Which I love, but I want to introduce you to Ojiisan. We aren’t official and I want it to be official. You know?” You rushed out while you had the courage to say something. As you finish you’re taking down huge gulps of air and Tendou’s face pinches in confusion.
“I got bits and pieces of that, but nothing that makes sense.”
“Why is this so hard?!” You groan in frustration burying your head in your hands. Tendou smiles at your scrunched form, finding it cute. He pulls your hands away from your face and gives them a firm squeeze.
“Take your time.”
“I want you to be my boyfriend. I want to make things official. And introduce you to Ojiisan. And go on cute cafe dates. And give you good luck kisses. And hold your hand. I want that, and we both have feelings for each other. And I’ll stop rambling now.” You bite your lip, casting your eyes down. He gives you the biggest goofiest smile you’ve seen on him.
“I want to do those things too, you know that. So, if I’m your boyfriend, will you be my girlfriend?” He questions with the prettiest glint in his eye. You nod, releasing your lip, and watch the joy light up his face.

2 things I'm curious about-
1) I remember reading in your comments on "Hollow King" that you consider the Canon of your story to be "Steel Soul", as Ghost was, well, alive, during their journey. So I'm a bit confused as to how Jiji, the Confessor to return their Shade to them, works in your timeline. No complaints, just curious, since your mentioned her in "New Beginnings".
2) Where did the "God of Silence" title come from in your story? I can see it being given to them by the old Hallownestians, when knowing near nothing about them.
Oh man 1) I did mention Jiji, this is true. I actually never gave it much thought lol. Though, I'd say - since like I said, canon is that Ghost has one life, no weird stuff with respawning - it's more like a metaphor. Jiji helps with dealing with "regrets" as she calls it. Ths Shade is a symbol of those regrets. To fight this dark stain that haunts you, you have to defeat your own self to let go of the past regrets (I'm rambling again, I'm sorry 😂)
2) "God od Silence" thing. It was a spontaneously made up title that came from Hollow's inability to produce audible sounds and speak. One person called them that, another picked it up and it spread like this. Not very epic at all but eh XD
I hope my lazy answer satisfies you, I just bame back from work and I'm exhausted :')

legit funny because i had thought once about “oh but what if shes really getting all confused???” but i was like nahhhhhh. like not the “you dont like girls” part that part her mom was wrong but like getting confused about her feelings? 100%
she got infatuated by me (this is not my god complex peaking through bc even though it sounds like a good thing it isnt) i like a lot of the things she liked and watched shit didnt fit my MO to talk about it w/ her, i liked her dogs and was also LOVED by them (the most sad part is that i am not gonna see anakin but shes not gonna see jiji soooo), i was the first girl or just the person that showed interest in her and in the things she did. babes i listened and tried to understand church bullshit. like. *blink* *blink*
she got infatuated with me and was like “this is IT” but it wasnt you know? like. she truly thought she LOVED me and wouldnt stop talking about it (i got LOVE LETTERS PLURAL TO PROVE IT) but when it came down to the “you need to move or things will get uglier” she froze bc it wasnt it. she actually didnt feel like she thought. it wasnt enough to win the “i dont want to text her first” shit that i also felt.
babes i literally am rambling should i make it official and make it a hashtag

i got to your account during your 700k celebration about a WEEK ago and WOWOWO CONGRATS ON 1k!! you’re the kind of writer i aspire to be, i love your work! 😭
okok but like an enemies to lovers trope with sirius whereee he and the reader are on some kind of mission for the order and have to stay the night somewhere but! the b&b they find is owned by a conservative couple who will only let them stay if they’re married, so they have to pretend and when they (owners) ask them how they met or what they love about each other they kind of just end up realizing their feelings for one another jiji
today is trope tuesday! send me all of the cheesy tropes you can think of :)
stop. stop it rn. that's so sweet! 'you're the kind of writer I aspire to be' has me on the floor, you seriously have no idea how much that means to me! You're adorable, I hope you know you made my day :D <33 also wtf this idea is amazing i love it
--
"It's a simple question," The couple looked between you, eyes locked on your bare ring finger, "Are you married?"
You felt your mind racing, knowing Sirius's was doing the same beside you. No one had warned you that you'd need to be good at improv to go on a mission for the order. You just thought you'd have to knock out some death eaters, not falsify a marriage with your partner.
Your partner, who happened to loathe you as much as you loathed him. He'd already insulted you 12 times on the thirty minute walk to the inn, and you'd probably returned them tenfold. He was simply infuriating, there was no other way to put it.
"'Course we are." Sirius grabbed your hand, holding it up between the two of you, "Y'think I haven't snatched'er up while I've had the chance?"
You inwardly scoffed at his word choice, but left your hand in his grasp, faking a smile towards the innkeepers, "We've been married for years."
Sirius turned to you with one eyebrow raised, "Mhm, of course, and how many years has it been, darling? I tend to forget numbers like that."
"Six." You blurted out, causing a look of horrified intrigue to cross their faces.
"Six years? You seem young," The woman mused, "How old are you?"
"Well, um," You scrambled to come up with a lie, "I meant we've been together for six years. Only married for one. But we've been close for longer."
This seemed to relieve some of the tension in their weary frames, but the woman directed another question to you, "That's so sweet! How did you meet?"
You elbowed Sirius in the ribs, "Yeah honey, how did we meet?"
Sirius put in an egregious lack of effort, spewing the story of how you'd actually first met, "She was running to get to her class and I tripped her. Jus' a bit of fun, y'know."
You grit your teeth, sending the innkeepers a pained smile, "Mhm. And I married him. The man that knocked me down and made me late for class on purpose so he could laugh at me."
The couple let out a strained chuckle at your response, "Well, he must have some better aspects, yes?"
"Yeah," Sirius grinned, turning to you with a lazy look of confidence in his eyes, "Why don't you go over my better aspects? I'd like to hear what you have to say."
You forced down a scream, wracking your brain for anything that you didn't absolutely loathe about Sirius.
"Well, um, he has nice hair!" You gestured to his perfectly styled locks, knowing you wouldn't get off the hook that easily.
"Oh, come on, dig deep Y/N. I'm your husband, you must love more than my hair."
You sighed, rubbing a hand over your face, "Um, okay, I love the way that you care about your friends. You love hard."
You blinked your eyes open to meet Sirius's gaze, clouded with confusion. The couple in front of you gestured for you to keep speaking, and you rambled on a few more seconds.
"And I love the way that you sacrifice your own happiness for others sometimes. It makes a big impact on people, y'know." You'd somehow shifted from speaking to the couple to facing Sirius, who stood humbled beside you.
"Um, I- You think... Thank you." He mumbled, eyes swirling with admiration, a soft smile curling at the corners of his lips.
"Right, well then," You felt something cold and metal land in your hand, breaking out of your strange trance to see the man placing the key in your grasp, "Your room is on the second floor, down the hall to the left. Number 7, can't miss it. Enjoy your stay." He smiled, his wife stepping aside to let you up the stairs.
You hastily grabbed for your backpack that you'd set down at the front desk, fumbling with the straps as you tried getting yourself together. Sirius waited until you were already on your way up, letting you go first and carrying the extra bag that you'd packed with food. You fumbled with the key in the lock, finally popping the door open and stumbling inside.
The room was dark and Sirius flicked on a light, bathing the space in a soft warm glow. You set your things down by the door, expression still blank as you tried figuring out the emotion invading your chest.
"Hey, um," You turned to see Sirius standing by the door, uncharacteristically hesitant, "What you said back there. It was... nice. Thank you."
You felt that feeling tug harder at your chest and you swallowed your pride, "It's true, y'know. I give you a hard time but... but you're a good person."
Sirius finally let a full grin break through his features, "Y'know, you're not the worst either, my lovely wife."
You snorted, the sappy feeling in your chest now sitting comfortably atop your heart rather than constricting your lungs. You turned to look at the room once more, stomach dropping when you realized.
"Fuck."
"What?" Sirius rushed to your side, trying to figure out what had you so troubled.
"There's only one bed."
