being just as excited for Eodio's birth, and of course Delgal isn't going to deny Thistle the opportunity of seeing his son born, of course he hopes Thistle can be as much a friend and confidante and caretaker to Eodio as he was to him but That Doesn't Happen! Eodio doesn't like him! imagine him wanting to keep Thistle away from baby Yaad... imagine the arguments he keeps having with Delgal because he'll let Delgal look after Yaad (he can't deny his father time with his grandson!) and Delgal will let Thistle hold/play with/watch him against Eodio's wishes

imagine that between researching the dungeon and then becoming lord of it and overseeing it, Thistle just doesn't have as much time to play and bond with either Eodio or Yaad as he did with Delgal... two generations of Melinis growing up right under his nose without him, neither of them loving him the way he loves them...
