The reason Dani was a girl despite Danny being a boy is because Danny didn't exactly go after his own original.

That's right.

Because Wonder Woman is– well. A woman.

Danny isn't.

That's also partly the reason why Elle was hunted down by a very intrigued superheroine, not that Danny ever told her of his own origin, which he should have.

"You have my face." The golden lasso squeezes around her in warning, Diana's gaze unflinching as she studies the younger girl.

"Correction. I have the face of my original."

The lasso glows, supporting her words of truth. It has WW frown.

"Your? Then why..." She slowly cradles the child's head, turning her around and looking.

"I think—" Elle hesitates for a brief moment. "You might be his origin? I don't— know. I just found out."

Another glow and WW hums. "Perhaps."

A thought crosses her mind and she pulls back confused. "A He?"

Daniel Wayne, the younger toddler brother of Bruce Wayne and the son of Martha and Thomas Wayne had been kidnapped the night their parents were murdered.

Daniel had been snagged the moment their killer heard people headed to the alley and Bruce in his state of shock didn't realize it until it was far to late and could only scream in horror (from everything) as his baby brother is crying his name. (If you wanna make it even more heart wrenching, make it Danny's first time being able to say Bruce's name right and/or Bruce had said some mean things to Danny earlier after he accidentally broke something of Bruce's, something like 'I wish youd go away' or 'I never wanted a brother, you're such a bother!')

Bruce is being held by Alfred as some police officers are chasing down the Wayne's parents killer while some stay behind to see if they could do something.

Minutes turn to hours and as they wait, praying the police at least found Danny, Bruce is ridden with guilt. From his parents death to allowing his brother to be kidnapped.

Eventually the police return to give Alfred and Bruce the news. And it's not good.

The killer escaped and Danny was nowhere to be found.

And it would take many years before he would be found.

Bruce gets a call from Damian during school hours one day. When he answers he is greeted with Damian demanding him to get to the school and explain himself.

Confused Bruce asks what does he mean and Damian responds with

"The two new students in class today are the spitting images of you and I father! Either they are poorly created clones or you have more hidden blood children!"

Meanwhile the very students being discussed are calling up someone too

"Ellie? Dan? What's wrong? You better not have made too much chaos already, I just paid for the uniforms for that place."

"DAD! I THINK ANOTHER ONE OF THE FRUITLOOPS FAILED CLONES SOMEHOW SURVIVED!"

"What?"

Everyone thinks Danny is an alien or a ghost, so when the league tried to teach Danny on how to act like a human when he's in a disguise (clothes switched, contacts used and dyed hair for human disguise. Danny didn't tell them about his other half nor had he revealed it), Danny thought it was funny.

Funny that in fact, Danny is an actual human, a living person, a child who goes to school and acts normally when he's with the others.

So when they tried teaching him some lessons about how normal folks don't have the capability to lift a couch with a finger or punch a guy that creates a crater, Danny had to stifle a laughter.

He already knows this, he literally lives as a human but no one has to know that until Maddie came in on the Watchtower (let's imagine that she can be there), Danny became serious as Maddie stares at her SON who was supposed to be grounded.

And with that, Danny panicked and tried to leave by intangibility but Maddie was fast and used one of her ghost capture rope and tied Danny back to her. The heroes were then alarmed by the actions of the woman when they paused to hear the next few words of the said woman.

"Daniel James Fenton! Tell me exactly why you're here when I specifically told you, you were grounded?"

Danny just sheepishly laughed and thought up an excuse when his eyes landed on Batman, "Uhhh.... Batman said I could go here!" Danny pointed.

So sorta a prompt/sorta a brain worm that got stuck in my head.

What if.... When Jason died originally he came back as a ghost and he and Danny met. Jason helped him fight ghosts and taught him some tricks of the trade. He offhandedly told Danny that if he ever needed help to go to Gotham/Blüdhaven (depends if you want to spin Jason still feeling kind towards Bruce or him being more in Dick's corner). Jason vanishes when he's resurrected and Danny doesn't hear from him for years.

Well something happens. (Either everyone he loves dies, and he runs to the GZ or away to prevent himself from turning into Dark Danny, or his parents find out his secret and react Badly. Or maybe they react well but the GIW takes them out)

Danny runs to the only place he thinks can offer sanctuary, Gotham/Blüdhaven. Running off the words of a friend he hasn't seen in a long time.

He arrives and is probably exhausted, stumbling around when he feels a familiar energy. He follows it, only to nearly collapse at Jason's feet as Red Hood. (This is probably post Outlaws when Jason has a more peacefulish relationship with the Bats) and looks up.

"Jason?"

"Danny?!"

looking back on danny phantom and beginning to realize why i never took vlad that seriously as an antagonist. like a glitch in time really cracked it open for me.

he is a 40 year old man but he is also a category 5 failgirl having a two decade long Mental Health Moment. his hobby is feeling really stupid about a thing he did and then doing it again five days later. he fumbled so hard he almost destroyed all of reality. like on accident.

#wwdits #what we do in the shadows #nandor #nandor the relentless #in case you're wondering: Vlad jr. and his brother were raised in the Ottoman empire in the 1400s #and would have been exposed to many generals and other important people coming and going thru the palace #or during their military training #if Nandor didnt know him then he could have clashed with him in Vlads' rebellion against the Ottomans when he reclaimed his throne #or even after that #Vlad had a /lot/ of Ottoman interactions to the point that I can't beleive that making Nandor an Ottoman general #when its a little tricky consindering the Ottoman empire didnt really gain traction until the 1300s and originated much farther north #so i have to believe someone made that choice - that would have put Nandor in direct contact with Vlad - on purpose #or my wild theory of Nandor being the true inspiration for the Dracula character and Stoker just took the name b/c it sounded cooler #(which is what actually happened in real life)#Nandor was Bram Stoker's ex and Dracula was a salacious hit-piece with name changes #ok ok but getting back to Nandor being Dracula's sire #imagine the angst! the drama!#Dracula is the archenemy of Van Helsing! how delicious!!#give me 20k fics of the antics of Nandor sireing the 1 enemy of Guillermo pls and thank you 🙏

Danny was confused

I mean, Vlad literally outright says his plans right at Jack's ears as clear as crystal but Jack somehow manages to wishy washy away from his head but when the Fentons had to go to a gala at Wayne's manor, Jack was all aware and perceptive around Bruce.

Turns out, they both were relatives and Jack didn't seem to like Bruce. Jack just could smell the "fakeness" around Bruce. But I guess it's because Vlad would actually slip his tongue and be honest, his voice and the way he acts, Jack didn't feel off when he is with Vlad.

But with Bruce? Naw.

Danny looks at Bruce and he seemed nice, a bit *weird* around here and there but he was still nice. But then again, he can't trust billionaires and just as Danny felt that untrusting vibe, he heard a disgusting voice coming from behind him.

"My, oh my, if it isn't the Little Badger?"

Danny narrowed his eyes, disgust was all over his face, "Vlad." he replied with venom.

And that's cue on Jack to wrap his arm around Vlad's neck and starts talking to him cheerfully just so he could get away from Bruce.

To Vlad's dismay, he went along with Jack. And to Danny's dismay, Bruce started a conversation with him. Then to Jazz's wondrous night, her and Maddie were outside to take a breather so Danny was all alone and unguarded and stuck with Bruce Wayne, introducing himself and his ward, [pick ur choice].

Btw, I also wanted for Clockwork to show up, saving Danny but that's just too much lelelelellel.

The Count finally inviting you over to his castle. He's made sure to keep Igor busy, having him out all night running errands. And Mina's kept herself scarce tonight, staying home out of courtesy for your upcoming, as she put it to Vlad, "true love date!" He swears sometimes, that child will be the second death of him!

It starts out fine. The Count makes sure to act as the perfect date (even if it's totally and completely just a hangout together as friends) and a gentleman. He watches on with delight as you awe at his portraits and artifacts. But, with it just being you and him in such close quarters for the first time... Vlad begins to feel strange.

Soon, all he can hear is the beating of your heart and the rush of your blood through your veins. He's losing himself. His mouth begins to water as he smells the blood underneath your skin, practically singing for him to let it free.

You really are too delectable for your own good, you know. Perhaps it's you that will be the death of him, after all.

Ngl the episode with Dani's return in Danny Phantom really makes me more annoyed that A Glitch In Time really went and tried to redeem Vlad.

#and dark danny #but like mainly annoyed with vlad #cause throughout the show hes your standard evil villain #whose obsessed with maddie who he cannot have #and then danny who he also cannot have #he basically does alot of evil shit #and the whole finale is him going beyond redemption #but when it comes to dani you got him cloning danny constantly until he does finally get dani #but instead of just focusing on creating a family with her #he still obsesses over danny #and basically is fine with the idea of disgarding her if he succeeds at cloning danny #and literally was fine with telling her to overshadow danny #despite knowing it would kill her and she obviously doesnt want to die #and in her return episode basically wants her captured so he can disect her and make a perfect clone #and dont care about her even when shes dying basically #hell in this episode we see she has trauma from her debut episode #having to reassure herself vlad isnt here #like how the fuck did the book think vlad was redeemable again #no wonder dani didnt appear in the book #the book would either be barf inducing with forcing her to forgive him or...actually thats it #it'd be bad #and dont get me started on trying to redeem dark danny #just...why the fuck did the villains need redeeming in this book...
