365 Marvel Comics Paper Cut-Out SuperHeroes - One Hero, Every Day, All Year…
July 3rd - The USAgent
John Walker was a United States Army veteran who went through the Power Broker's process to significant enhance his strength, speed and durability.  He used these powers to join the Universal Class Wrestling Federation where he competed under the guise of The Super-Patriot.  He later decided to use his skills and power to become a vigilante.
A hardline political conservative, Walker’s jingoistic attitudes put him into conflict with the more liberal-minded Steve Rogers.  Although the two butted heads, they ultimately came together and joined forces to defeat the super villain known as  Warhead.  Soon thereafter, Walker was chosen to take up the mantle of Captain America after Steve Rogers had retired.
Walker’s tenure as Captain America was marred by tragedy when his enemies revealed his civilian identity, resulting in the murder of his parents by the villainous group known as The Watchdogs.  Enraged, Walker embarked on a bloody campaign to hunt down and kill the individuals responsible for his parents’ deaths.
Later, Walker discovered that his becoming Captain America had been orchestrated by The Red Skull.  Walker and Rogers team up once again to bring the Skull down.  Afterwards, he stepped down from his role as Captain America, returning the mantle to Steve Roger
Walker would go on to create the identity of The USAgent, wearing a variation of the Captain America uniform and utilizing a facsimile of Cap’s vibranium shield.  As the USAgent, Walker joined The West Coast Avengers and later became a member of Force Works.  Some time thereafter he joined a new iteration of The Invaders.
Following stints as part of Omega Flight, The Mighty Avengers and The Thunderbolts, The USAgent was manipulated into confronting Sam Wilson after Wilson had become the new Captain America.  Walker battled Wilson for the right to weird the shield.  Walker was defeated and came to learn that he had been used as a pawn by the evil forces of Hydra.  In an effort to redeem himself, Walker joined a new iteration of Force Works to take on the threat of Ultimo.
A version of The USAgent features in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting in the Disney+ series, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, and portrayed by actor Wyatt Russell.  The hero first appeared in the pages of Captain America Vol. 1 #323 (1986).

And there it is. That little twinkle we see inside of John that means, no matter how many times he royally, violently fucks it all up. We can't find it in ourselves to give up on him. Captain America #380
