The older teens are hanging out at Steve's place.
Robin: Fuck, Marry, Kill the people in this room. Steve, you're up first.
Steve: Fuck Eddie, marry Eddie, and kill Eddie.
Argyle: *frowns* He can't do that, can he?
Eddie: Wait, is it all in that order?
Steve: Depends on how well you treat me. You going to treat me real good, baby?
Eddie: Reeeaal nice.
Steve: Good, so we fuck first, then we get married where we fuck a lot, and then when we're old and you're in a lot of pain, I'll lovingly smother you with a pillow.
Eddie: Aww.
Robin: Steve, this isn't supposed to be a serious, long-term plan kind of game!
Steve: Don't worry about her, ain't nothing going to stop me from marrying you.
Argyle: You guys make a cute couple, dudes.
Eddie: A couple? We're not dating. We're both straight.
Jonathan: *narrows eyes* Weren't you guys just making out?
Eddie: We do that all the time when we're high.
Steve: It's just some innocent kissing between friends. More popcorn?
Steve went into the kitchen, and Eddie followed him to get more drinks.
Robin: *her eyes wide* They're fucking with us right?
Vickie: Wouldn't he have told you?
Robin: *shrieks* You would think!
Nancy: They can't be that clueless, right?
That's when they heard it. Loud, obnoxious laughter coming from the kitchen.
Eddie: HAH! Straight!
Steve: I can't believe that we managed to keep a STRAIGHT face.
Robin: *closes her eyes* I hate them, I hate them, I hate them.

LETS REVIEW!!
1) will byers is very obviously gay but they didn’t give him a coming out scene. they made him in love with with his straight best friend, and used his feelings for said best friend as a way to push the straight couple back together!!
2) robin buckley the only explicitly queer character got a side character as a love interest. said side character is in 3 scenes, one of which she is kissing her boyfriend!
3) eddie munson a queer coded character fucking dies! a terrible death! that wasn’t really helpful or necessary to the story! and the town he died saving still fucking hates him and most people probably want him to be dead!

robin and vickie try so, so hard to make things work. vickie’s sweet, and she’s funny, and she’s kind, and robin likes her, but— she doesn’t know.
she doesn’t understand why robin flinches away when she throws her arms around her unexpectedly. she doesn’t get why robin goes quiet some days, or stares off into space a lot. she wakes up to robin’s screaming in the night, and when she tries to hold her robin starts sobbing.
vickie doesn’t know what to do. she tries to help—she WANTS to help—but she doesn’t know how. steve is always around, and robin gets panicky if she can’t reach him. robin always seems to scan the room before she walks into it. robin has scars decorating her skin that she won’t talk about. vickie kisses her freckles, her scars, her tear-stained cheeks. it’s not enough. she can’t help her. she can’t fix this.
she tries, anyway. she plans out dates and kisses her in secret and is gentle in the bedroom. she holds robin when she cries and soothes her during nightmares and sits beside her when she calls steve at 4am.
it’s exhausting. vickie likes robin, and she wants to help her, but… she’s only eighteen herself. she’s not a therapist. she’s not a counsellor. she likes robin, but it’s so much work, and it’s so taxing. robin looks guilt-ridden every time. it breaks her heart.
when robin breaks up with her, she’s secretly relieved. robin apologises, again and again, but vickie understands. really, she does. robin’s gone through things that she could never begin to understand or help, and it’s too much for them to be together. she’s not mad or upset. she wants the best for robin, genuinely.
she goes off to college, and notices robin stays behind in hawkins. she meets a nice girl in her classes, and she doesn’t wake up to screaming anymore. she doesn’t kiss tear-stained cheeks. she feels guilty for being relieved.
she visits hawkins a year later, when her brother graduates high school. she catches up with some old friends. she goes to the diner, and she sees robin, sitting with steve, and eddie munson, and nancy wheeler.
nancy’s watching robin as she talks, and vickie recognises the expression on her face. she can see the love in her eyes, the way their hands are hidden under the table. vickie isn’t upset. how could she be? all she’s ever wanted for robin is happiness. nancy had always looked so sad in school. she thinks that they needed each other, maybe.
vickie watches them talk, a soft smile on her face, and she hopes more than anything that they’re giving each other what she couldn’t give.
she hopes that they’re happy. they deserve it.

Mike is not bi guys he's straight up gay in denial
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He can't say "I love you" to El because 👏he👏 doesn't 👏love👏her!
Does he care for her, sure! Does he think she's the most incredible person in the world, I mean she has superpowers, so absolutely! She's his friend! But he doesn't love her and friends don't lie!
He's with her because he feels like that's something he's supposed to be doing!

Man let my gay boys be happy okay I'm asking politely
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Please imma bite wood
Also I think Robin and Steve's friendship is super important here to show that El and Mike can also be platonic friends, don't have to be romantically involved. Maybe Mike will see Robin with Vickie and Steve and something will click who knows
Edit because someone dug this up: DON'T WATCH SEASON 5 FUCK THIS SHOW FREE PALESTINE 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸

Steddie Anastasia AU
There's a new rumor in St. Petersburg, the young prince Stephan Nickolai Romanov may be alive and his cousin Christina Cunningham is offering a substantial reward for his safe return to her estate in Paris. And Eddie Munson and his best friend Robin Buckley have the perfect scheme in mind, with the young prince's music box in hand all they need is a suitable young man to play the part.
Steve has no memory of his life and a fondness for the other children at the orphanage he's come to see as his siblings. When a job offer becomes available that will help him buy the kids better clothes and decent food he volunteers immediately. ...even if it means giving up on the locket that calls for him to go to Paris. He doesn't have the time to deal with a handsome con artist and his endearing friend, who seem to be under the impression that Steve is a royal and want to take him with them to Paris.
Steve agrees to go in hopes that when it's proven that he's not Stephan he might be able to ask for a position in the Duchess's home. It would pay much more than the factory and maybe if she hears him out she could make a donation to help the children, he's heard that Duchess Cunningham has always helped out people in need.
Henry Creel was once the spiritual advisor to the Romanov family, until he was found to be a traitor and banished. In revenge Creel cursed the entire Romanov bloodline with destruction, and now all these years later it turns out that the last Romanov prince still lives.
Eddie, Robin and Steve make their way towards Paris, dealing with Steve's vivid nightmares, freak train accidents, and the young man questioning their teachings with every step. Robin is also deeply disgusted watching Eddie and Steve dance around each other but can't find it in herself to toss them overboard, she's entirely too fond of her dinguses.
In Paris the trio meet up with Robin's lover Vickie who is the Duchess's right hand. She grills Steve on his favorite things from childhood and his family history to determine if it's possible that Steve could be Stephan. Everything seems to be coming up aces until Vickie asks Steve how he escaped. And Steve tells a story that makes Eddie's heart sink through the floor, because there's only three people in the world who would know that story and he never expected two of them to be in the same room. Another snag hits as Vickie reveals that Chrissy has stopped seeing potential prince's due to how often people have tried to scam her.
When it's suggested that they attempt to meet up with the Duchess at the ballet everyone agrees and goes shopping for new outfits. While they are out Eddie pulls Steve aside and tells him the truth, he offers the music box to the prince who asks him to meet the Duchess with him and help tell the truth, especially since Eddie was the one who got them out of the palace. Eddie agrees knowing that this will be the last time he ever sees his beloved prince again.
At the ballet they meet up with Chrissy who recognizes Eddie as the young man who saved them. He pulls Steve forward and tells Chrissy about the amnesia and about how he used his knowledge from the palace to make sure Steve was approved before Eddie figured out the truth. Steve shows Chrissy the necklace and the two are officially reunited.
Knowing that Steve is home now and after learning that Robin plans to stay to help Steve readjust to royal life he packs his bags to go back to Russia. Prince's don't marry con artists and Eddie has an uncle that needs him. He doesn't get far before getting kidnapped by Creel who plans to use him to get to Steve.
As Eddie lays there dying, chunks taken out of both him and Steve who fought tooth and nail to rescue him, he begs for his prince's forgiveness. He asks Steve to please take care of his uncle for him, tells him that he knows Steve will be the best ruler anyone could ask for. Steve wasn't taking that for an answer as he smashed Creel's phylactery against the concrete with his bare hands and dragged his almost corpse to safety.
With some help from Chrissy, Steve and Eddie purchase a lovely estate in the countryside where they adopt and raise all of Steve's kids from the orphanage. Even Vickie and Robin come live with them, the four living out their lives with their significant others peacefully. And the children love hearing Uncle Wayne's stories about the missing prince and his beloved, steadfast guard and all of the adventures they have together.

I just told somebody who asked if there were really queer characters in Stranger Things "yeah! There are currently three of them and a fourth one pending" and I just thought my own phrasing was hilarious and wanted to share

Steve and Eddie lay on the floor of Steve’s living room, staring at the ceiling fan as it moved on the lowest setting. They were both equally high, floating together like they were laying on clouds.
"Eddie?" Steve asked.
"Yeah?"
"Can I tell you something?" Steve asked.
"Anything, man," Eddie said.
"I like more than one thing," Steve said. "So much more."
"More than one thing of what?" Eddie asked.
"You know how some people like one thing and the opposite thing, but some people like one thing and the opposite thing," Steve said. "I like more than one thing, you know?"
"Like some people like Star Wars and some people like Star Trek, then there are people who say it's the same thing," Eddie said. "Which is bullshit. Some people like both of them, like me."
"You like Star Wars and Star Trek?" Steve asked.
"Yeah, problem?" Eddie asked.
"Nah, man, I'm friends with other nerds," Steve said. "I also like Star Trek and Star Wars. I also like basketball. I like so many things. Is that weird?"
"Nah, man. I don't have a problem with basketball, not anymore," Eddie said. "There's just so many things out there to like, you know. Gotta keep my mind open."
"I think there's a word for what we are. I just can't think of what is," Steve said. "My head is so foggy."
"Yeah, I think your ceiling fan just turned into a helicopter, man," Eddie said.
"Oh, man. I do not want a helicopter in my living room," Steve said.
"You're right. It is better that we're both sober," Vickie said.
Vickie and Robin were sitting on the couch, a bowl of popcorn between them.
"Told you, highly entertaining," Robin said. "Don't worry, once they sober, they'll remember that they're boyfriends and that this is the fifth time they're coming out to each other."
"Eddie?" Steve asked.
"Yeah?"
"Can I tell you something else?" Steve asked.
"Yeah."
"Like sometimes, I don't feel like a man. Sometimes, I feel like a woman, but other days, I also feel like a man, and like other days, I don't feel like a man or a woman," Steve said. "Is that crazy?"
"Nah."
"Okay. Okay. We are encroaching on a territory I didn't know existed," Robin said with wide eyes.
"What do we do? Do we pretend like we didn't hear that?" Vickie asked.
"I mean, I think so. I don't know," Robin said. "Yeah, I think so. He's got to be the one to come to us on his own with that like he came out as bisexual. So, yeah, I think we just forget."
The next morning. . .
Robin walked downstairs and into her friend's kitchen. He was standing at the counter, drinking coffee. Robin stared at him, her heart full of affection and love for her platonic soulmate.
"Good morning, Robin," Steve said.
"It certainly is, good that is," Robin said, her eyes filling with proud tears.
"Are you okay?" Steve asked.
Robin sobbed and threw herself at him, hugging him tightly.
"I love you, no matter what shape you come in," Robin said.
"Uh, okay?" Steve asked. "What the hell does that mean?"
"Like if you ever decided to become. . . Astronaut shaped, I think it would be cool. Stars are beautiful, you know, and it's a beautiful thing because we're all made of stardust. And if even if you didn't want to be an astronaut, it would still be beautiful stardust," Robin rambled.
"Robin. . .did you wait until this morning to smoke weed? Why didn't you smoke with us last night?" Steve asked.
"I wanted to see what you and Eddie talked about when you guys were high," Robin said.
"And?" He asked.
"So many wonderful things," Robin sniffled. "I'm so proud of you, and just so you know, I'll support whatever decision you make."
"What if I decide to shave all my hair off?" Steve asked.
"Even then, I'll still love you," Robin said.
"Even my eyebrows?"
"I still love you. . . Dingus."
Robin kissed his forehead and skipped back upstairs to Vickie, leaving Steve with the same wave of affection that hit her just moments ago.
