I had so much fun! I was tired and at first I was really sad because nobody was recognizing me. But it started with one artist, and then snowballed from there! It really made me happy when someone told me I had "righted Disney's Wrongs" and then wanted a photo of me! Two of the cosplayers pictured above are also people I look up to immensely in the cosplay world, and knowing they liked and recognized my Star Boy made it all the better 🥰 Thanks for all the love and fun last weekend, Emerald City 💚💫✨

The silhouette of Christine's hussar costume was inspired by images of vivandières.
Nodding to the floofiness of Christine's "star princess" dress, I put Raoul in a kind of costumized (I'm making this a word now) mid 17th century look.
Side note: I've been drawing Raoul with a mole under his left eye. In this piece it's emphasized into a star shape with makeup to go with the theme. I only realized later that I put a "beauty mark" on the opposite side of his face that ALW Erik typically wears his mask. Accidental symbolism? You decide.
